Best Answer: The LullaGo Anywhere comes with one sheet. It is smaller than most standard bassinets, so the majority of bassinet sheets will not fit it properly. The mattress dimensions are: 28”L x 15”W, while most standard bassinet sheets are designed to fit a mattress around 31" L.

Review: Chicco Lullago Crib

We took our 5 week old baby to Spain last week! “What!” Everyone said, “you must be mad!”, but in actual fact a new born is pretty easy to travel with, especially if you are breast feeding and don’t have to worry about preparing bottles, because they sleep a lot of the time! Much easier than a toddler or even my 4year old! What they are going to sleep in is generally the biggest issue as you cannot take the Moses basket or in my case, a wooden rocking crib! I also think a new born is too small for the standard playpen style travel cots.

Our Review of the Chicco Lullago Crib

This is where the Chicco Lullago Travel Crib seemed ideal. When traveling abroad it counts as 1 item of baggage on the plane, which was fine for us as we were travelling with BA and so both our children had a baggage allowance and only needed one bag between them, a new borns clothes don’t take up much room! Plus we were staying at a villa that had a washing machine! It was checked in with our car seats. It comes in a bag with a strap so is easy to transport. It is probably the size of a carry on bag when folded away and our only concern was that the bag the crib is in is quite thin and so had the potential to get easily ripped. However it stood the test of two plane journeys.

The crib itself is very easy to put together. The frame and the mattress simply unfold and then you slot each of the four legs in place. It takes seconds. To look at I don’t think you would even know that it is a travel crib, the style and size look like a normal crib.The crib fits neatly beside the bed as it is the width of an average bedside table, and baby is then level with the bed. There is a see-through mesh on the crib so you can lay in bed and see your baby in the crib.

Our baby slept very well in it. It has a bit of flexibility to it so that you can slightly rock it which was good for our new born! It can be used up to 6 months. We put a  mosquito  net over the top just to be on the safe side and rolled towels up alongside baby so she felt snug.

I already have a crib from my first child but I would be happy to use this crib all the time at home. It is sturdy and comfortable enough to be used daily with the added benefit that you can take it anywhere. At £109 it is extremely good value for money if used on a daily basis and as a travel cot. With our first child we always used the carry cot from our pushchair when away from home, which is not ideal and we were never really happy with.

I love this crib. It is easy to use, comfortable and portable. It means you can easily travel abroad, or just stay with friends or family for the night and not worry about whether your baby will be happy with new sleeping arrangements. It is definitely coming to America with us next week!

How did you get in checking in the crib when the travel bag doesn’t zip closed? Don’t the contents, especially the legs, fall out en route with baggage handlers etc?

Specs .

The Chicco Lullago bassinet weighs only 12 lbs or 5.4 kg, which makes it an ultra-lightweight portable bassinet .

It also only measures 30″L x 18″W x 28″H, saving you more space in the bedroom!

Its weight and size also make it convenient to move around anywhere in the house. You’ll have no problems carrying it to another room or even upstairs.

Some people though said it’s really not that light to carry. 

And some parents also find it too low on the ground, making their backs ache a little when they’re carrying or putting down their baby.

But most are very happy with it in general.

It’s also convenient to pack it and carry it for traveling in the car.

It can be tricky though to bring it on planes, as you have to look for a large suitcase for it to fit in.

You can’t just put it in its carry bag as the bag is like a tote bag – it doesn’t have any zipper.

But I’ve seen some parents bring this with them on flights.

Safety 

All Chicco baby items meet ASTM standards and also carry GREENGUARD Gold certification, which makes it one of the best non-toxic bassinets in the market.

It’s also a certified JPMA-approved bassinet , making it super safe for newborns.

The bassinet itself has breathable mesh walls, so you can easily check up on your baby without having to lean over the bassinet.

Some parents though find the leg a bit wobbly but most are happy with how safe and durable this bassinet is.

The bottom poles of the legs also have rubber, so it doesn’t slide, especially if you have wooden or smooth floors.

Age & Weight Limit

This can be used for newborns up to babies weighing 20 lbs/ 9 kg.

But take note to stop using it when your baby starts rolling or pushing themselves up.

So technically, this bassinet can probably last 5 months or less.

The Chicco Lullago bassinet comes with a waterproof mattress, a fitted sheet with a zipper, and a carry bag that looks more like a large tote bag.

It also has a mesh storage pocket that can fit small newborn essentials , like diapers, wet wipes, and such.

The mattress is waterproof so you can easily wipe it.

I’ve also seen a lot of parents comment that the bassinet’s mattress isn’t as thin and hard as the others and it has a lot more cushion to it.

The mattress is also comfortable for your baby’s back, especially in the center, compared to other portable, foldable bassinets, according to most parents.

Probably the only thing that’s annoying some parents is that it’s not easy finding mattress sheets that fit perfectly.

I mean you can buy from the Chicco website but most had trouble looking for other cheaper mattress sheets.

Assembly 

Assembling this is a breeze!

Some people find the buttons kinda hard to press on the legs but other than that, it literally takes only 5 minutes or less.

You basically just open the bassinet, snap the legs on it, then add the mattress!

Then vice-versa when you disassemble and carry it for a quick getaway or when visiting the in-laws.

Maintenance 

The mattress is waterproof so it’s much easier to clean it.

The mattress sheet is, of course, machine-washable, along with the bassinet fabric.

Yes, you can remove the entire bassinet fabric and chuck it in the washing machine!

Just remember to wash the bassinet fabric and the fitted sheet separately.

For the former, machine-wash it in cold water and mild soap on a delicate cycle, then drip dry.
