Cruise was more than willing to test his Hindi speaking skills as he said, "If you want me to speak in Hindi with you, I will. Let's try it."

The journalist then asked The Last Samurai actor to say, "Namaste. Aap kaise hain?' (Namaste, How are you?)".

Much to the fans' delight, Cruise aced the pronunciation in first attempt as he repeated the sentence with folded hands.

The clip from the interview, which was part of the promotional campaign for "Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One", has gone viral on social media.

Several Indian fans found Cruise's accent "cute".

"He is so cute while speaking ‘namaste aap kaise ho’ & Is there anything he can't do," a user said on Twitter.

"Tom Cruise wins the hearts of all Indians with his Hindi. His humility is on another level. God Bless him," another user said.

"Wow.... He spoke Hindi very well," read a post.

Another fan wrote, "He said Namaste on his own, shows how aware he is of India and Indian fans."

"Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One", directed by Christopher McQuarrie, is the seventh instalment of Cruise's long-running spy franchise "Mission: Impossible".

The movie also features Hayley Atwell, Pom Klementieff, Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg, Rebecca Ferguson, Vanessa Kirby and Henry Czerny.

Presented by Paramount Pictures and Skydance, the film will be released in theatres in India on July 12.

During a recent interview for the promotion of mission impossible dead reckoning part one, the interviewer got tom cruise to speak a little hindi..

Is there anything Tom Cruise cannot do? The Hollywood heartthrob and action superstar has got his desi fans' full hearts after a video of him from a recent interview surfaced online. Tom Cruise is currently on a press tour, giving interviews for Mission Impossible Dead Reckoning Part One , scheduled for release on July 12. The movie brings him back as the iconic Ethan Hunt, pulling off a few more daring stunts to save the world. During one interview, the actor had a great time speaking with the interviewer and she even got him to speak a little Hindi.

‘Aap Kaise Hain?’

In a clip from Etalk, Tom is seen in a happy mood. The interviewer made Tom laugh while speaking about his French in the movie. “Is there anything you cannot do? Is he going to speak in Hindi with me?” she asked. Tom eagerly said, “If you want me to speak in Hindi with you I will. Let's try it." She got him to say the cutest ‘Namaste. Aap kaise hain (How are you)’. Tom, as expected, aced the pronunciation. He was then even more impressed that the interviewer could also speak Punjabi and Farsi and wanted to keep talking about her. ‘He’s so charming'

Fans of the actor thought he was too charming in the video. A fan wrote, “He is so cute while speaking ‘namaste aap kaise ho’ & Is there anything he can't do,” wrote one. “Namaste Tom Cruise Sir,” wrote another. “Is there anything #TomCruise can't do? He spoke ‘Namaste! Aap Kaise Hain?’ in my mother tongue Hindi with an Indian accent,” said another.

Actor Tom Cruise has been promoting the Mission Impossible franchise’s seventh instalment, Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One. for a few days now as the film is set to hit the theaters on July 12. Recently, the actor stunned his fans in India as he spoke in fluent Hindi.

In a video clip, which is going viral on the internet, an interviewer is seen praising him for doing everything. She says in the video, “Is there anything you cannot do?” while adding that the actor is speaking French in Dead Reckoning. She adds, “While I am hearing speak French, I am like, ‘Oh my gosh, is he going to speak in Hindi with me when I see him?”

On this, the Top Gun star replies, “If you want me to speak in Hindi with you, I will. Let’s try. You give me..” He is then asked to speak, “Namaste, aap kaise hain?” Tom Cruise speaks it so fluently that the interviewer is left floored. Even the social media users were impressed. One of them commented on the video, “Too cute! Best I’ve seen so far!” Another added, “That laugh is classic. Always was, always will be.”

Christopher McQuarrie, who previously directed Rogue Nation and Fallout, has directed Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One. He has also directed the sequel, which will release in 2024. The film’s shooting started in 2020, just before the pandemic hit. The shoot was later suspended due to Covid-19 . The filming resumed in the latter part of 2020 in UK. Although the filming wrapped in 2021, the release was delayed multiple times due to the pandemic.

Hollywood star Tom Cruise, who is actively promoting his forthcoming film 'Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning Part One's, stunned a journalist in a recent interview as he repeated a few words in Hindi.

The journalist complimented Cruise on his French, which he speaks a smattering of in the latest ‘Mission Impossible’ movie.

She then wondered aloud if the actor would chat with her in Hindi.

‘Is he going to speak in Hindi with me?’, she said. To which the star responded, ‘If you want me to speak in Hindi with you, I will. Give me...’

The actor was asked to repeat the line ‘Namaste, aap kaise hai (hello, how are you?)’ and he did it without any hesitation, which impressed everyone.

Tom Cruise is winning praise on the internet. One fan wrote, ‘Too cute. Best I have seen so far.’ One person commented, ‘Bless him, love his laugh.’

‘Mission Impossible Dead Reckoning Part One’ is set to release in India on July 12. Tom Cruise was last seen in ‘Top Gun Maverick’ which received a positive response from the audience as well as the critics and did tremendous business at the worldwide box office.

MUMBAI – Tom Cruise rounded off his two-day India visit Sunday night with a red carpet screening of Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol, held at an IMAX cinema in Mumbai.

Arriving in a motorcade of BMWs branded with the Ghost Protocol logo, Cruise – clad in a blue shirt and jeans — was greeted by screaming fans, with whom he spent almost two hours in between talking to the media.

“I love watching Hindi movies. There are many Hindi movies that come out every year but I do watch a few of them. (If offered a Bollywood film) I would never say no. I would love to do it,” the 49-year-old actor told reporters.

Ghost Protocol will release in India on Dec. 16 –  including dubbed versions in Hindi and regional languages — distributed by Viacom18 Motion Pictures. Viacom18 is also promoting its upcoming Bollywood title Players , an adaptation of The Italian Job , directed by the brothers Abbas-Mastan and starring actors Abhishek Bachchan and Neil Nitin Mukesh and actresses Sonam Kapoor and Bipasha Basu.

Cruise posed with the Players  cast on the red carpet for a Hollywood-meets-Bollywood moment drowned in a blaze of frenzied media flashbulbs.

Ghost Protocol also features a brief cameo by top Bollywood actor Anil Kapoor , who accompanied Cruise throughout his India tour, including Saturday’s fleeting visit to the Taj Mahal.

Kapoor hosted an exclusive party Saturday night at the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel in Mumbai, where the handpicked 150-odd invitees included Bollywood celebrities such as superstar actor Aamir Khan , actresses Preity Zinta and Sonam Kapoor (Anil’s daughter), directors Shekhar Kapur, Farhan Akhtar and Vidhu Vinod Chopra and Oscar-winning sound designer Resul Pookutty ( Slumdog Millionaire ).

“What a gracious host Anil is & OMG! Tom used to be my heart throb in Top Gun !” tweeted Zinta. “Tom Cruise asked me why I was not making Mr India 2 ? A set up by Anil Kapoor I am sure,” tweeted Kapur.

Anil Kapoor’s upcoming projects include an Indian version of the hit Fox TV show 24 (in which he starred during its final season). When asked if Kapoor picked up any tips from Cruise’s Ethan Hunt for his turn as the Indian Jack Bauer , the 51-year-old actor said, “Of course, being in Ghost Protocol was an experience in itself and I am sure there is something I can learn from Ethan Hunt.”

The Ghost Protocol screening was also graced by the film’s director Brad Bird and actress Paula Patton, who greeted everyone with the traditional Indian “namaste.”

“I have some idea of Bollywood films thanks to Anil Kapoor and I would love to work with (superstar actress and former Miss World) Aishwarya Rai, ” Patton said.

Cruise was also entertained by a brief dance performance by top Bollywood choreographer Shiamak Davar ‘s troupe just before Ghost Protocol screened for the 1,500 guests and fans.

Ghost Protocol will see its world premiere Wednesday at the Dubai Film Festival, for which Cruise left Mumbai Sunday night.

To the delight of his fans, Cruise flawlessly pronounced the phrase on his first attempt, accompanying it with a respectful gesture of folded hands. This clip from the interview quickly went viral on various social media platforms, capturing the attention of Indian fans who found Cruise's effort endearing.

The film has been one of 2023's most anticipated releases and is expected to release pan-India in Hindi, English, Tamil and Telugu on July 12.

In just two days, Tom Cruise will be back on the big screen with Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One . Ahead of the big release, the actors have been on a world tour promoting their mega-film and hosting premieres. During one of the press junkets, the actor showcased one of many talents – which is to pick up languages. He eventually ended up speaking in Hindi too.

During the interview with Etalk, a journalist of Indian origin a journalist was marvelling at Tom Cruise’s talents and asked him if there was anything he couldn’t do. Further, she asked him if he could speak Hindi as well. Cruise was quick to respond saying, “If you want me to speak in Hindi with you, I will. Let's try it." The journalist then requested Cruise to say, "Namaste. Aap kaise hain? (Greetings. How are you?).” Cruise was quick to flawlessly attempt the phrase and that clip went viral on the internet. Fans were delighted to see how quickly Cruise was able to pick up the language.

New Delhi: Tom Cruise is currently on a rigorous promotion tour for his upcoming film 'Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning Part One' The Hollywood actor, who has a massive fan following across the world, recently got his desi fans excited with a gesture that proves once again that there really isn't anything the megastar cannot do. In a video, which has been doing the rounds on social media, we see Tom Cruise speak Hindi in an almost perfect accent.

In a clip from Etalk, when the interviewer complimented Tom Cruise on his French language skills and asked, "Is there anything you cannot do? Is he going to speak in Hindi with me? He eagerly responded with, “If you want me to speak in Hindi with you I will. Let's try it." As the interviewer said, "Namaste. Aap kaise hain (How are you)’, Tom Cruise did the exact same with an almost perfect pronunciation. The actor was impressed with the interviewer who shared that she could speak Punjabi, Farsi, English and Hindi very fluently.

Soon after the video began doing the rounds on social media, fan clubs showered their love on the megastar. A fan wrote, "He is so cute while speaking ‘namaste aap kaise ho’ & Is there anything he can't do,” while another wrote, "Is there anything #TomCruise can't do? He spoke ‘Namaste! Aap Kaise Hain?’ in my mother tongue Hindi with an Indian accent."

The Mission: Impossible series is a mega-successful series franchise starring Tom Cruise as Ethan Hunt, a secret agent of the Impossible Force, of IMF, as he undertakes highly-risky covert operations across the world. Tom Cruise will be returning as Ethan Hunt in 'Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning Part One', which is scheduled to be released on July 12.

The film also stars Hayley Atwell, Pom Klementiff, Simon Pegg, Vanessa Kirby and others.
