Been here twice, this year and two years ago, for jet ski rentals and had a great time. Guides are great, and looked after those in our group that were uncomfortable going fast to begin with. After the spending time in tue big ride area everyone was comfortable and we all made the return trip just fine. Totally recommend, have two 16 year olds this year and they had a great time on their own skis this year.

We took my 81 year old mother jet skiing for the first time. They treated her like a queen! Super greatness of the staff made the experience memorable.

We had the misfortune of renting a pontoon boat from Under the Bridge Watersports July 5, 2023. DO NOT SPEND YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY HERE. From the beginning of our day the engine seemed to starve for fuel. Hard to get a read as NONE of the gauges worked. We called. Was it running out of fuel? No it's full they said. No comment from them about the engine fuel starving. I also mentioned the nonfunctional gauges. No response to that either. Later in the day the engine would fuel starve again and again. And again. Couldn't do any more tubing (why we rented). Kind of ruined it for my family. Docked and told them the problems and asked for a credit. Perhaps a simple jet-ski rental. Their replies: "We're very reasonable -- but maybe you did something to it." We're very reasonable -- but maybe you did something to it." We're very reasonable -- but maybe you did something to it." Said 6, 7 times maybe more. NO WE DID NOTHING TO CAUSE IT. At the end they did nothing for us except say: "We're very reasonable -- but maybe you did something to it." RENT ELSEWHERE.

We had two activities lined up for one of the days we were in OC. Jet skiing in the morn and evening parasailing. The weather turned so we tried to reschedule with both. The parasailing company was helpful and rescheduled us and ultimately refunded our money (without us even asking). The jet ski place "under the bridge water sports" tried gas lighting us and then ultimately took our money without rendering any services. They claimed "that's just how it is". So in summary, go anywhere else but here for reserving any water sport activities unless you want your money stolen. And, if you have also been a victim of Under The Bridge Watersports, please call the BBB and add your complaint to the ongoing list.

Was staying fairly close to Under the Bridge Watersports and passed by this place in our travels and looked them up. After seeing the good reviews, we're fortunate enough to be able to make reservations for the same day. Booked a total of three jet skis for myself and two kids (18 & 16). My daughter was old enough to have her own which made her happy. We showed up 45 minutes prior to our time for the briefing and standard paperwork procedures and liability releases and were ready to go. After a brief lesson, we were zipping across the water in no time to our designated riding area. Once there, we were allowed to ride around at our leisure. Riding area was pretty big. Only downfall was a second group arrived in the riding area and while the area was huge, you would often find yourself trying to avoid other jet skis. I'm assuming there are limited area where jet ski comes can operate so they have to share an area. Pretty sure you would encounter same riding areas with other companies as well. All in all, it was a great experience. The staff was great, our guides were awesome, and we had a great experience. Would definitely return back again when in the area

Our group of 7 on 4 jet skis had a great time. The instructions before going out was good so we all felt comfortable. Our guide was the owner who was super nice.

Made a reservation weeks in advance. Showed up for vacation and had to leave the next day due to a death in the family. I explained the situation and they gave me a full refund even though they have a strict policy. That's stand up. Give them your business. Well deserved. Thank you.

Had an awesome jet ski ride around the bay! Paul was great, took lots of pictures and videos for us. Got lucky enough to see dolphins and wild horses while we were out which was amazing! 10/10 recommend!

We offer the most exclusive rides in town! Our riding area is the largest in Ocean City. It is located in an area of the bay where there is very little boat traffic and not another jet ski rental company in sight! We care about your safety and want you to have some freedom to roam.

Our jet skis can comfortably seat two adults and a child or up to 450 lbs. We offer 1-hour rentals starting every 1 hour and 10 minutes from morning until the sun goes down.

No experience necessary! We have everything you need, including life jackets, safety training and instruction, as well as all your gas. No deposit is required for our jet ski rental in Ocean City, MD.

State law requires all drivers to be at least 16 years old with photo ID. Anyone (passengers and drivers) who is not at least 18 years old will need a parent or legal guardian with them to sign their rental agreement.

Quick Details:

• Passengers must be 5 years of age or older
• Brand new 2023 seadoos 130 GTX pro s!
• No charge for gas or deposits.
• Drivers must be 16; you must be 18 to rent. Everyone driving MUST have valid photo ID (name, picture and birthdate).
• Wear comfortable clothes. You will be getting wet.
• Renters must be accompanied by a certified guide. This is a requirement in Maryland.
• Once the jet skis are out for the hour, they are out and cannot return unless of emergency. Returning to the dock early to pick up and drop off passengers is not permitted.
• Jet skis can hold three passengers, but we recommend that if you have three, it be two adults and a child, or one adult and two children.
• Weight capacity is approximately 450 lbs.
• Upon arriving, all renters above the age of 16 must complete a quick quiz that is required by the state.
• Drinking before operating a jet ski is PROHIBITED. Be aware that if you arrive to your reservation under the influence and are terminated from your trip, you are NOT subject to any refunds.
• No experience required!
• We provide you with life jackets and safety instructions given by our highly trained and certified guides.

Jet ski faqs, what's the difference between a jet ski and waverunner.

Really nothing. Think: Ford, Chevy, Chrysler. They all have the same functions, just look a little different. We refer to one or all throughout this website, but we are always talking about the 3-seater personal watercrafts.

Can we take the jet ski anywhere we want in Ocean City?

Maryland requires that any rental jet ski stay within visible sight of our highly trained guides. They are there for your safety. Luckily enough, our guides have great eyesight, and we have the largest riding area in Maryland with no other rental companies in sight! This means that each trip has a personal lifeguard (or two or three) for the duration of your adventure, and you won’t have to worry about any other rental companies sharing the same space. If you are renting the jet skis at our Paradise Watersports Marina, you may be lucky enough to see dolphins near our riding area as many of our customers have witnessed every season.

Are the prices of your jet ski rentals at Paradise Watersports per person?

No! The prices listed are per watercraft, not per person, so they include the jet ski driver and up to two additional people, depending on their size and the total combined weight.

Does the instruction time count as part of my driving time?

No way! Your Paradise Watersports jet ski adventure does not begin until you physically leave our docks heading out for the water! By the time you get back, we promise you’ll agree that of all the things to do in Ocean City, Maryland, jet ski rentals are one of the most fun and memorable attractions!

What is the minimum age to rent a jet ski in Ocean City, Maryland?

You must be 16 years of age to rent a jet ski in Ocean City, BUT you must have a parent or guardian sign for you if you are under the age of 18. All operators must present a valid photo ID with birthdate and must complete a Boater Safety course (see next FAQ). If you do not have a driver’s license or other photo ID, we suggest you obtain a state ID card from your local Department of Motor Vehicles prior to your vacation. (If you left your ID at home, that’s not a problem! We have a fax machine so that a friend or loved one can fax a copy of your ID directly to our office to confirm your age and identity and get you out on the water!)

Do we need a license in order to drive the jet ski?

A temporary boater’s license is provided to customers.

Where do I go to take the Boater Safety course?

The Boater Safety course can be completed at our Paradise Watersports Marina, located on the docks of Hooper’s Crab House. It takes around 15-30 minutes to complete the course, and it is open book with the answers right in front of you, so there are no excuses to get any wrong! This course is temporary and only works while under the supervision of our guides for the hour that you reserved. If you decide you would like to come back another time and rent from us again, unfortunately state law requires us to re-administer the test (but that’s okay, by then you should be a jet ski guru!). We ask that if you are renting a jet ski from us to please arrive at least 30 minutes prior to your reservation time to get squared away and complete proper testing.

Our riding area is located as soon as you leave the dock, which means immediate ride time for you on our premium high speed Seadoo Jet Skis! The riding area (approximately 10 blocks) is calm/ spacious and away from the high volume traffic in the main channel. Back Bay jet skis are recommended for everyone in Ocean City, MD: families, novice riders, experienced riders, and even single riders!

Requirements:

• You must be 18 years old to drive. A valid original photo ID with DOB is required at check-in. Anyone under the age of 18 needs a parent/legal guardian signature to drive or ride. Passengers under the age of 18 must ride with an adult. Drivers must be able to read and speak English. Drivers and riders will not be allowed on a jet ski if impaired by a substance.
• Using their phone or tablet, each driver will be required to take an online Maryland Natural Resources Police PWC Rental Test. If the driver scores lower than a 92%, they will be unable to operate the jet ski. They can either ride as a passenger or receive a refund.

Restrictions:

• There is no minimum age to ride, but children must sit behind the driver and be able to hold on, or sit between two adults. Due to high speeds and possible injuries, this activity is not suitable for pregnant women.
• Each ski can hold 2 passengers, and if needed, 1 small child, under the age of 5, in the middle. Maximum combined weight per jet ski is 350 pounds. You cannot return to the dock to switch passengers.

• How fast does the jet ski go? Speed depends on a few factors: number of people/weight on the ski, water conditions, and wind conditions. At full throttle, our jet skis are some of the fastest in Ocean City at speeds over 53 mph. You don’t have to go this fast, but if you want to, our designated riding area is large enough to maintain this speed.
• Will I be in a large group of jet skis swerving in and out of one another? No, your safety and experience is our number one priority. We only have five skis that ride at the same time!
• Can we take the jet skis anywhere? No, you must stay within our designated riding area. Fortunately, our riding area is very large, with minimal traffic, so you have a very spacious playground!
• When does my hourly rental begin? As soon as your jet ski leaves our dock. No time is wasted riding to a designated area; our riding time is instant!
• What do I have to do before I can operate a jet ski? Once you check in at our Back Bay Adventures tackle shop, you will complete a temporary (only valid for the hour you reserved) Boater’s Safety Course, which takes around 15-30 minutes to complete. After you pass the course with a 92%, our trained guides go over MD rules and regulations. Then you can have some fun!
• Can my child get on a ski with me? Back Bay Adventures strongly recommends that children be over the age of 5. Children must sit behind the adult driver at all times.
• Can both people drive? Yes, if you have two people on the jet ski, you are welcome to switch drivers.
• Can I come back to the dock to rotate passengers? No, once you are out in the water, you may not come back to the dock. If you choose to come back to the dock, you will not receive a refund.
• Can I get off my jet ski and go swimming?

No, you must remain on your jet ski at all times!

Where are you located.

We are located at 307 Dorchester St. in Ocean City, MD next to the Marina Deck restaurant.

How old do you have to be to drive a Jetski?

In order to drive a jet ski you must be 16 years old and you must bring a valid photo ID.

Should I arrive early to my reservation?

We suggest that you arrive 30 minutes prior to the booking time. This will allow plenty of time for you to fill out paperwork and receive proper instructions for using our jet skis and the rules of the water.

How many people can ride a Jetski?

Two people can ride a Jetski, one driver and one passenger. The passenger must be above the age of 5.

Under special circumstances with special permission from the guides one jet ski can accommodate 3 riders if the combined weight is under 420lbs.

Can we get off and swim?

Swimming is not permitted at any time during the tour. There will be other boat traffic on the water so for your safety we insist that you remain on the craft at all times.

Is there storage on the Jetski?

There is a medium size compartment at the front of the Jetski, we will not guarantee that the compartment will stay watertight. We suggest you place valuables and electronic devices in a water tight bag.

You are allowed to bring your phone however, they are not permitted for use while riding or driving the jet ski.

Do I have to wear a life vest during the trip?

It is required by state law that you wear a life vest the entire time that you are riding on the jet ski.

Where do we ride?

Our guides will take you along Assawoman Bay behind Assateague Island to our D.N.R. designated riding area near the Verazano Bridge.

What kind of jet skis are they?

We operate a fleet of 8 2018 Kawasaki 1500CC RTX Jet Skis.

How fast do they go?

The jet skis range from 45-55mph depending on weather conditions.

Can we ride them anywhere?

Our guides follow a seasonally pre-determined route to our riding area which is located behind Assateague Island in the Assawoman Bay.

When does our time start?

The time starts when the jet skis are pushed into the water.
