Listen to this article

It's safe to say that Taylor Swift 's Eras Tour has well and truly surpassed every single expectation we had. The Eras Tour officially opened its doors in Glendale, Arizona on March 17th where Taylor performed songs from all 10 of her albums.

Since then, Taylor has released her eleventh album, ' The Tortured Poets Department ', and has now added seven of those songs to the setlist too. But what songs have been cut to make room for the new tracks?

On May 9th in Paris, France, Taylor changed the entire Eras Tour setlist as fans know it. Popular songs have now been removed and the eras section order has been moved around.

Here's all the songs in Taylor's Eras Tour setlist, including every song featured in the show, how many songs she plays, every single surprise song and all the 'The Tortured Poets Department' tracks that have been added to the setlist.

Plus, all the updates to the setlist and what to expect for the European Eras Tour dates.

How many songs does Taylor Swift play on the Eras Tour setlist?

The average Taylor Swift concert used to be around 2 hours long but The Eras Tour is a whole different beast... The concert is a whopping 3 hours and 15 minutes long, and Taylor performs a huge 45 tracks within that timeframe.

Not all the tracks are performed in full – some are shortened versions. There's also a couple of additional little interludes that pop up throughout the show.

For context, on the Rep tour, Taylor performed 19 tracks in total, including several mashups that featured some of her older songs. For The 1989 World Tour, she performed 18 songs, while 17 songs were performed on The Red Tour and the Speak Now World Tour.

Taylor has 'reset' the surprise song list, which means anyone attending a show in 2024 can anticipate hearing a song she's already performed. She previously stated that she will only play each surprise song once during the tour, unless she messes one up.

There's also no rules for Taylor repeating songs from Midnights as surprise songs, which means fans may get to hear the likes of 'You're On Your Own Kid' and 'Snow on the Beach' again at some point in the future.

We'll update this article with every Surprise Acoustic Song – and every surprise song that she will play again – after every show.

Will Taylor Swift change the Eras Tour setlist to include The Tortured Poets Department?

Will Taylor Swift change the Eras Tour setlist?

Aside from a few song changes, the Eras Tour setlist remained the same throughout the 2023 shows and every show up until the release of 'The Tortured Poets Department'. During the first Paris show in May 2024, Taylor changed the order of the setlist, removed six songs and added seven new ones from 'TTPD'.

Fans attending the European shows might end up hearing Taylor perform ' Castles Crumbling ' with Hayley Williams at some point, as Paramore will be supporting her throughout those tour dates. Unlike Phoebe Bridgers and HAIM, who joined Taylor on stage to perform 'Nothing New' and 'No Body, No Crime' respectively on the nights they were support acts, a 'Castles Crumbling' duet might be more likely to appear as a surprise song.

Taylor will finish her European leg in London in August 2024, before returning to North America in November 2024. It's possible that she may make more changes to the final leg of the show.

What are Taylor's most performed songs on tour?

Before she embarked on The Eras Tour, Taylor’s top 3 most performed songs are ‘Love Story’ (491 times), ‘Our Song’ (404 times) and ‘You Belong With Me’ (381 times).

Of course, almost all of Taylor’s most performed songs are from her first two albums. As the list goes on, the 'Speak Now' bops, 'Red' bangers and '1989' hits start to weave their way in.

If you’re wondering what Taylor’s most played songs from her first five albums are, here’s a break down:

  • Taylor Swift : ‘Our Song’, ‘Tim McGraw’ and ‘Picture To Burn’
  • Fearless: ‘Love Story’, ‘You Belong With Me’ and ‘Fifteen’
  • Speak Now : ‘Sparks Fly’, ‘Mean’ and ‘Mine’
  • Red : ‘We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together’, ‘I Knew You Were Trouble’ and ‘Red’
  • 1989 : ‘Shake It Off’, ‘Blank Space’ and ‘Out of the Woods’

Taylor has only had the chance to perform songs from Reputation on the Reputation Stadium Tour so far, but ‘Ready For It?’, ‘Delicate’ and ‘Look What You Made Me Do’ take the top spots when it comes to live performances of the Rep tracks.

Due to the cancellation of Lover Fest, Taylor hasn’t been able to perform Lover on a tour setting. Folklore, Evermore and Midnights will also be making their tour debut on the Eras Tour.

Taylor Swift’s Record-Breaking Eras Tour: See the Setlist

Lorie Liebig

Updated:

On Wednesday (August 9), the extensive first leg of Taylor Swift ‘s career-spanning Eras Tour came to a triumphant close. During the final performance of six straight nights at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, the 33-year-old hitmaker announced that a re-recorded version of her 2014 album  1989  will be released on October 27.

The news is just the latest in a sea of special announcements and surprises that have coincided with Swift’s first headlining tour in five years. Since kicking off on March 17 in Glendale, Arizona, The Eras Tour has been Swift’s platform to share news directly with her dedicated fans. Along with the release dates for Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) and the extended edition of her 2022 album Midnights , she debuted her music videos for “Karma” and “I Can See You” from the stage.

Videos by American Songwriter

The special connection that Swift has fostered with her massive fanbase has helped land The Eras Tour in the history books. The U.S. Justice Department launched a formal investigation into Ticketmaster after unpredicted demand for the tour caused the site to crash during its initial pre-sale.

On a more positive note, sales of beads and craft supplies rose due to thousands of fans creating Swift-themed friendship bracelets to exchange at show dates. The Eras Tour is also on track to become the highest-grossing concert tour in history , breaking a sales record previously held by Elton John.

If you didn’t get to see Swift’s visual spectacle, which includes vignette performances of songs from each of her past albums, you’re in luck. Additional U.S. dates were recently announced for 2024 , with more dates expected to be unveiled in the coming months.

If you don’t have your tickets to the Eras Tour yet, you can get them on StubHub , where orders are 100% guaranteed through StubHub’s FanProtect program. StubHub is a secondary market ticketing platform, and prices may be higher or lower than face value, depending on demand.

Maximum Taylor: Here’s How the Eras Tour Hits New, Swift-ier Heights

By Brian Hiatt

Brian Hiatt

Taylor Swift has no fewer than four new albums —  Lover , Folklore , Evermore , and Midnights — to cover in the Eras Tour , which was both an opportunity and a major challenge. It wasn’t hard to imagine that she’d end up sidelining the quieter material of Folklore and Evermore in favor of her stadium-shaking pop hits, but instead, she pretty much plays everything, every night.

Taylor Swift Eras Tour Setlist, All 148 Songs Revealed [With Videos]

In this article, we reveal Taylor Swift's Eras Tour setlist. First, we list the core 42 songs played at most shows. Then we show videos of all the songs, so you can experience how the epic 3.5-hour concert feels from the comfort of your own home . Next, we do the same with the 106 additional songs Taylor picks from, depending on the show location. She does 3 of these per show, taking the set up to 45 songs total.

Here are Taylor Swift’s songs usually played for the Eras Tour.

Core Songs In The Eras Tour Setlist

Now let's enjoy the songs in order!

From The Album: Lover

1. miss americana & the heartbreak prince.

This track made its concert debut on the tour’s opening night in Glendale, Arizona. Since then, it has consistently held the position as the show-opener throughout the tour.

Before we go any further, let me clarify that this and all of the following songs have been played 48 times or more throughout the initial US leg of the Eras Tour, with many being played at every show. The concerts are broken up into 10 different acts covering songs from different albums.

All of these acts will be covered here, with the exception of the 9th act, which is designated to hold performances of rare songs. These songs can be found in the following section.

2. Cruel Summer

Cruel Summer also made its debut on the opening night of the Eras Tour. This pop song takes a lyrical look at the challenges one faces upon reaching a certain level of fame.

Taylor Swift keeps with the electropop vibe with the 3rd song in her setlist, The Man. This track is known for its criticism of gender inequalities, and for calling out actor, Leonardo DiCaprio.

4. You Need To Calm Down

ou Need To Calm Down is famous for expressing Taylor’s pride in supporting the LGBTQ+ community.

At the 5th slot of Act 1, Taylor likes to switch the sound up a bit by often performing Lover. This song has been played at every show thus far.

6. The Archer

This downtempo electropop finds Taylor expressing some of her most humanistic insecurities.

From Taylor Swift's Album: Fearless

7. fearless.

Taylor pivots the concert’s sound by switching to the pop-country stylings heard in Fearless. Lyrically, this song is all about getting over those nervous jitters that often hold people back from pursuing their heart’s desire.

8. You Belong With Me

You Belong With Me is written from the perspective of somebody with feelings for someone who is already in a relationship, though massively underappreciated and often mistreated.

You Belong With Me

9. Love Story

Taylor keeps on with the pop-country vibe with Love Story, which has been commonly used to close out the Fearless act. Love Story is famous for being Taylor’s personal twist on the tragic story of Romeo And Juliet.

From Her Album: Evermore

10. ’tis the damn season.

In the next act, Taylor likes to switch it up with the folk-pop stylings of ’tis the damn season.

Taylor keeps with the folk vibe on willow, which is a song about going the distance in the name of love.

12. marjorie

With marjorie, Taylor takes the time to pay homage to her grandmother, who was once a famous opera singer.

13. champagne problems

The waltz-y song, champagne problems, finds Taylor examining feelings of being unprepared for commitment.

14. tolerate it

Taylor Swift’s track, tolerate it, often closes out the Evermore act by touching on the imbalance of efforts that can exist in a relationship.

From Taylor's Album: Reputation

15. …ready for it.

Swift normally begins the Reputation act with the album’s opening track, bringing an upbeat pace to the show.

16. Delicate

Taylor continues with the electropop vibe with Delicate, which considers how one’s reputation can affect the fragile beginnings of a relationship.

17. Don’t Blame Me

Don’t Blame Me charges forward with an unapologetic vibe as Taylor writes from the perspective of someone who accepts their reputation.

18. Look What You Made Me Do

The fan-favorite Look What You Made Me Do closes out this section on a high note.

Taken From The Album: Speak Now

19. enchanted.

Speak Now fans might be a little disappointed to find out that Enchanted is usually the only song featured from the album.

Performed From Taylor Swift's Album: Red

Taylor returns to the softer side of pop-country with 22 kicking off the Red act.

21. We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together

Fans have been enjoying group camaraderie as Taylor kicks into this longtime fan-favorite.

22. I Knew You Were Trouble

Taylor continues to keep the audience’s energy at a peak with the dubstep-infused I Knew You Were Trouble.

23. All Too Well

This hard-hitting ballad typically closes out the Red section on a powerful note, with performances sometimes lasting up to 10 minutes.

All Too Well

From The Album: Folklore

The Folklore section of the concert kicks off with the minimalistic first track on the album.

Taylor tells the story of a relationship with betty and its folk music influences.

26. the last great american dynasty

With this track, Taylor injects a hint of electronica to help bring the concert’s energy to a build yet again.

Swift then follows up with august, which has often been one of the highlights of the concert for many attendees.

28. illicit affairs

Fans typically join in to sing along with illicit affairs, which features minimalistic instrumentation and heavy-hitting lyrics.

29. my tears ricochet

With my tears ricochet, Taylor dials up the ballad meter to deliver a powerful moment every audience member will remember.

30. cardigan

Taylor Swift closes out this section with the stripped-down and nostalgic tone of the song, cardigan.

From Taylor's Hit Album: 1989

Swift kicks off the 1989 segment with Style, which injects an infectious energy into the crowd.

32. Blank Space

In keeping with the energy build, Taylor follows up with one of her biggest hits, Blank Space.

33. Shake It Off

With the dance-pop track, Shake It Off, Taylor provides an opportunity for all of her fans to cut the rug.

34. Wildest Dreams

Taylor then tapers off the energy slightly, delivering what many consider to be one of her most powerful ballads.

35. Bad Blood

Swift ties the 1989 section up to a close with Bad Blood. This is generally the last song heard before Taylor’s section of surprise songs.

Album Taken From: Midnights

36. lavender haze.

The opening track of Midnights begins the album’s portion of the show with its pop-infused message about being yourself.

37. Anti-Hero

Taylor continues with the retro vibe with Anti-Hero, which touches on her personal insecurities.

Anti-Hero

38. Midnight Rain

Midnight Rain usually follows up and maintains the audience’s energy level with its moody electropop sound.

39. Vigilante Shit

Taylor follows up with this minimalistic track that emphasizes her fiery message about being unapologetically vengeful.

40. Bejeweled

Swifts Cinderella-influenced track, Bejeweled, follows up to serve some lighthearted dance vibes.

41. Mastermind

With this track, Taylor brings the audience’s energy to a focal point with its immersive sound of arpeggiated electronic effects.

Taylor has been closing out her concerts with Karma, which is a pretty straightforward pop song reminiscent of the early 2000s.

The above is the core setlist for the Eras Tour. That said, Taylor Swift also plays more songs infrequently on this tour. Click below to go to the next page and see what those songs are.

Previously, Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran have written and recorded several songs. They first collaborated on Swift’s Red album, writing and recording “Everything Has Changed.” On Reputation, they once again collaborated on “End Game.” Perhaps they will perform “End Game” before Swift announces the highly-anticipated Reputation (Taylor’s Version).

Additionally, on Red (Taylor’s Version), Swift included a vault track called “Run” with Sheeran. She has appeared on one of his songs, “The Joker and the Queen,” from his Equals album.

They have performed on stage together several times. In fact, Sheeran previously opened for Swift on the North American leg of her Red Tour. He has also opened for Snow Patrol and the Rolling Stones.

While opening for Swift, Sheeran was brought on stage to perform with her several times. They have performed “ I See Fire ,” “ Lego House ,” and more together.

Their own Eras Tours

Currently, both Swift and Sheeran are on similar concert tours . The former is winding down her Eras Tour, which began on March 17, 2023. It is her most ambitious tour to date, as Swift plays songs from almost all of her albums each night. Every show goes over three hours and features over 40 songs in the setlist.

After the five shows at Wembley Stadium from August 15-20, Swift will take a two-month break. She will resume the tour in October 2024 with a second (and final) North American leg. The final 18 shows will take place across the United States and Canada.

To commemorate the tour, Swift released a concert film, Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour, on October 13, 2023. It was a huge hit and grossed over $260 million worldwide during its theatrical run.

Meanwhile, Sheeran is on the Mathematics Tour. While it is in support of Equals and his other albums that came out mid-tour (Subtract and Autumn Variations), he celebrates the first five albums named after math symbols each show. He has five shows left on his 2024 itinerary before going on a break from the tour.

Sheeran will resume the Mathematics Tour in May 2025 and play another European leg. The tour will conclude on September 7, 2025.

The Subtract Tour

During the 2023 European and North American legs of the Mathematics Tour, Sheeran went on the concurrent Subtract Tour. These shows would occur in theaters in the same city as the Mathematics Tour. He would get to play Subtract in full as well as his greatest hits in an intimate setting.

Both tours largely look back at the artists’ past work. Where they will go after putting on such spectacles remains to be seen. In the meantime, they will team up once again in London for Taylor Swift’s show.
