Disney announces 'Encanto' sing-along concert tour, performances in 32 cities this summer

The 32-city tour kicks off on Monday, July 18.

The magic of "Encanto" could be coming to a city near you!

Disney Concerts and Live Nation announced the "Encanto: The Sing-Along Film Concert Tour," a one-of-a-kind concert event featuring the entire award-winning animated film. An on-stage band will perform all of the hit songs from the beloved soundtrack, including the chart-topping "We Don't Talk About Bruno" and Oscar-nominated "Dos Oruguitas."

The 32-city tour kicks off on Monday, July 18, in Ridgefield, Washington, and makes stops all across the country before ending in Chicago on Saturday, August 28.

Tickets go on sale starting Friday, April 29, at 10 a.m. local time on livenation.com .

The Oscar-winning animated movie "Encanto" and its vibrant songs are hitting the road for a one-of-a-kind concert event.

Disney Concerts announced Tuesday it is teaming with Live Nation for the upcoming "Encanto: The Sing-Along Film Concert Tour," which begins this summer. The tour starts in Ridgefield, Washington, on July 18 and spans 32 North American stops before coming to a close on Aug. 28 in Chicago. Other stops include Phoenix; Dallas; Tampa, Florida; and other major American cities.

What makes this event unique is that concertgoers will be able to watch "Encanto" in full on the venue's gigantic screen. While everyone is encouraged to sing along with the film's original songs, an on-stage band will also provide live music to make the experience more immersive.

The iconic songs, all of which were written by Lin-Manuel Miranda, quickly took over social media. In particular, the record-breaking "We Don't Talk About Bruno" topped Billboard's Hot 100 chart for five weeks, the longest No. 1 streak of any Disney song in history.

You don’t talk about Bruno, but starting in July, you will be able to sing along with the characters of Encanto   about him. On Tuesday (April 26), Disney Concerts and Live Nation announced Encanto : The Sing-Along Film Concert Tour, a 32-stop expedition across the United States, which will give fans of the film the chance to see their favorite super power-possessing family in a brand new way.

According to the press release, the “one-of-a-kind” event promises a simultaneous film and concert experience, with a live on-stage band accompanying Disney’s hit animated film as it plays in its entirety. Kicking off in Ridgefield, Wash., on July 18, the tour will start on the West Coast, make its way to the East, and conclude in August with stops in the Midwest.

Premiering in November of 2021, Encanto is set in Colombia and follows Mirabel Madrigal as she fights to protect the magical powers everyone in her family possesses but her. It swept the best animated film categories at the Academy Awards, the Golden Globes, the BAFTAs and the Producers Guild of America.

No matter who’s in the audience at the sing-along tour, it’s more than likely that everyone is going to know the words to the songs performed onstage. Featuring eight original tunes composed by Hamilton  and Moana ‘s Lin-Manuel Miranda, the  Encanto  soundtrack topped the Billboard 200 for nine weeks, and its fan-favorite track “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” spent five consecutive weeks in the leading spot atop the Billboard Hot 100 .

The Madrigals invite you to the magical Casita for two special evenings at the Hollywood Bowl on Friday, Nov. 11, and Saturday, Nov. 12 . Making this event even more immersive, this iconic venue will be transformed into the Madrigal’s Casita for a mystical night under the stars.

The concert will be directed by Chris Howe (Coldplay Live at Whitby Abbey, Bruno Mars 24k Magic Live at The Harlem Apollo) and Jamal Sims (original Encanto film choreographer), with production design by Misty Buckley (Superbowl Halftime, Coldplay, ABC’s The Little Mermaid Live! ), and Sally Wood is Fulwell 73’s creative showrunner. The Bowl’s visual transformation into Casita is brought to life by NorthHouse (Coldplay, Queen’s Platinum Jubilee). The concert is produced by Fulwell 73, Live Nation-Hewitt Silva, along with Disney Concerts and AMP Worldwide, the team behind several highly acclaimed live-to-film events at the Hollywood Bowl including Disney’s Beauty and the Beast in Concert starring Zooey Deschanel and Kelsey Grammer as well as Disney’s The Nightmare Before Christmas starring Danny Elfman and Catherine O’Hara .

Conductor Anthony Parnther will be leading the full orchestra performing the film’s score and cherished songs live-to-picture along with the outstanding cast and special guest artists performing the film’s acclaimed songs live. A Colombian band featuring musicians from the original soundtrack will accompany the orchestra.

If you haven’t been able to get the tunes of “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” or “Dos Oruguitas” out of your head since “ Encanto ” came out last November, you aren’t alone. Lin-Manuel Miranda packed ear worm after ear worm in the Academy Award-winning film, which received a nod for best original score at the 2022 Oscars. And now, fans are invited to sing along to their favorite songs through a new concert tour, announced today.

Disney Concerts and Live Nation have teamed up for “Encanto: The Sing-Along Film Concert Tour,” which will include a screening of the entire feature-length film alongside a live on-stage band that will play the film’s biggest hits. The 32-city tour kicks off on July 18, and will hit major U.S. cities such as San Diego, Houston, Phoenix and Tampa before wrapping up in Chicago on Aug. 28.

The “Encanto” soundtrack features eight original songs written by Miranda, including the Oscar-nominated “Dos Oruguitas,” with an original score by acclaimed composer Germaine Franco. The platinum-certified soundtrack held the No. 1 position on the Billboard 200 album charts for nine consecutive weeks.

Fans of Disney ’s Oscar-winning  animated musical Encanto can keep up with The Family Madrigal as they embark on 2023’s “Encanto: The Sing-Along Film Concert Tour.” As the most-streamed movie of 2022 , it’s clear that audiences have not been able to stop talking about Bruno and the brilliant original songs penned by Lin-Manuel Miranda for the production’s chart-topping soundtrack.

What Is the “Encanto: The Sing-Along Film Concert Tour”?

“Encanto: The Sing-Along Film Concert Tour” is a one-of-a-kind concert event, featuring the entire feature-length film and an on-stage band performing music from its beloved soundtrack.

The latest run for the Disney Concerts spectacle will launch in Joliet, Indiana on September 19th, followed by stops to Indianapolis, Louisville, Grand Rapids, and more to wrap the first month.

The tour opens October in Cedar Rapids and continues west to Denver, Salt Lake City, and Reno among others before circling back to the Midwest. After performances in Toledo, Ohio and Minneapolis, the circuit plays two Canadian dates in Hamilton on October 18th and Kitchener on October 19th. They close out the month with an East Coast trek including Syracuse, New York; Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania; and Baltimore.

In November, “Encanto: The Sing-Along Film Concert Tour” hosts two performances in Virginia, three nights in Georgia, and four shows in Florida, among many more. The 2023 excursion concludes at Orlando’s Walt Disney Theater on November 12th.

How Can I Get Tickets for the “Encanto: The Sing-Along Film Concert Tour”?

Tickets to the “Encanto: The Sing-Along Film Concert Tour” will first go up grabs with an official pre-sale starting Tuesday, April 18th. A Live Nation pre-sale opens on Wednesday, April 19th at 10:00 a.m. local time (using access code VINYL ) along with a Spotify pre-sale and assorted venue-specific offers.

General public access follows on Friday, April 21st at 10:00 a.m. local time via Ticketmaster . Tickets for dates in Columbus, Ohio; Savannah, Georgia; and Greeley, Colorado will be released on May 5th, while the on-sale for the Midland, Michigan show begins on June 26th.

You can also browse for seats and deals to all of the upcoming dates via StubHub , where orders are 100% guaranteed through StubHub’s FanProtect program. StubHub is a secondary market ticketing platform, and prices may be higher or lower than face value, depending on demand.

The Eagles make it a long run at the Sphere with shows in January: How to get tickets

The Eagles are definitely making it a long run in Las Vegas.

The band, which previously announced a spate of dates at the Sphere from September through December, has now added shows Jan. 17-18 and Jan. 24-25.

The Long Goodbye tour, which began in September at Madison Square Garden in New York, will now cover 20 dates over 10 weekends at the Sphere with the new additions. The already announced upcoming dates are Sept. 20-21; Sept. 27-28; Oct. 11-12; Oct. 18-19; Nov. 1-2; Nov. 8-9; Dec. 6-7 and Dec. 13-14.

Signups for presales for the January shows is open now at eagles.com. The band's presale begins at noon ET July 23 and Live Nation and Sirius XM presales at noon ET July 25. VIP packages will also be available at noon ET July 23. The general onsale takes place at noon ET July 26, also at eagles.com . Tickets start at $175 (all-in pricing).

The Eagles’ residency will follow well-received runs by U2, who  christened the venue  last fall,  Phish  and, currently,  Dead & Company .

The Grateful Dead offshoot band fronted by Bob Weir and including John Mayer and Mickey Hart, are in the midst of a 30-date run that will wrap Aug. 10.

The Eagles , currently touring Europe,  have a set list stocked  with their more laid-back hits in the first half ("Take it Easy," "One of These Nights," "Take it To the Limit") that builds to rollicking rockers including "Life in the Fast Lane" and "Already Gone" as the show continues.

The Sphere also just announced its inaugural New Year's Eve show with the EDM-focused Afterlife presents Anyma "The End of Genesys," also marking Anyma's first play in Vegas.

Jack Black ends Tenacious D tour after bandmate’s Trump shooting comment

The comedy rock duo Tenacious D — made up of Jack Black and Kyle Gass — has canceled the rest of their tour after Gass’ remarks about the assassination attempt on Donald Trump .

While onstage at a concert in Sydney on Sunday, Gass was presented with a birthday cake and asked to “make a wish” by Black. Gass responded, “Don’t miss Trump next time,” an apparent reference to the rally shooting a day before that left the former president with an injured ear. The video of Gass was widely circulated on social media.

“I was blindsided by what was said at the show on Sunday. I would never condone hate speech or encourage political violence in any form,” Black said in a Tuesday statement on Instagram . “After much reflection, I no longer feel it is appropriate to continue the Tenacious D tour, and all future creative plans are on hold. I am grateful to the fans for their support and understanding.”

Following Black’s statement, Gass apologized on Instagram.

“The line I improvised Sunday night in Sydney was highly inappropriate, dangerous and a terrible mistake,” he wrote Tuesday. “I don’t condone violence in any kind, in any form, against anyone. What happened was a tragedy, and I’m incredibly sorry for my severe lack of judgement.”

The band recently completed dates in the U.S. and Europe. Their “Spicy Meatball Tour” was slated to continue Tuesday night in Newcastle, hitting most major cities in Australia and New Zealand this month before returning to the U.S. for a select few dates in October.

“Frontier Touring regret to advise that Tenacious D’s concert tonight at Newcastle Entertainment Centre has been postponed,” their touring company announced in a statement on Instagram Tuesday. “Ticket holders are asked to hold onto their tickets until further information is available.”

When asked for further comment, a represented for the band directed the Associated Press back to Black’s statement. Details on refunds for the remaining tour dates were not immediately available.

After selling out her first Wembley Stadium show almost instantly, pop sensation Dua Lipa has added a second show for June 21, 2025.

The three-time Grammy Award-winning singer will now perform three nights total in London: October 17 at Royal Albert Hall and June 20-21 at Wembley Stadium. The concerts are part of her “Radical Optimism Tour.”

Lipa’s third studio album, “Radical Optimism,” was released on May 18 and debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Album Sales chart — a first-time achievement for the singer. Fans can expect to hear many of the album’s hits live at the Wembley Stadium shows.

Just a few miles northwest of downtown Butler, the grounds are a popular spot for gatherings and activities and well known for hosting the annual Butler Farm Show for over 70 years. 

The Butler Farm Show , typically held in August, is week-long agricultural fair attracts thousands of visitors.
