Based in my hometown, Pitlochry, in the ‘Heart of Scotland', it is my pleasure to deliver planned or bespoke day tour or multi day tours of my beautiful country, starting from your accommodation anywhere in Scotland.  Let me take you on a day tour or multi day tours of your choice and I will have you back at your accommodation in time for dinner.

Without any obligation , please let me know the places in Scotland you would like to experience and we can work together to prepare an amazing adventure in Scotland.

We have a wide range of day tour or multi day tours which take in Scotland’s amazing sites & sights including (but not exclusive), Glencoe, Oban, Fort William, Isle of Skye, Culloden, Loch Ness, Balmoral, Inverness-shire, Fife & Speyside.  I also offer you the chance to create your very own tour of Scotland, featuring many of the fascinating locations featured in movies and television (including James Bond and Outlander).

I am a retired Senior Detective from Scotland Yard and I have been trained to the Advanced Driver level as well as undergoing many other specialist driving courses.  You are therefore assured to be in safe hands with Heartland Tours.  Touring since 2015, as a Highland Perthshire local, I have an excellent knowledge of the geography of the Highlands and beyond.

Our vehicle is a very large BMW 7 Series.  The BMW can carry 4 passengers very comfortably and a maximum of 6 passengers (one front, three middle and two rear). 

ALL tour(s) will always be exclusive and executive & you will never tour with people out with your own private group.

The cost of a tour is FROM £65.00 per hour based on one/two people travelling from Highland Perthshire, with a minimum tour of 6 hours. The fee will vary based on weekends, high season, pick-up point and number of passengers. I also offer touring packages where we travel and reside beyond Pitlochry.  These incur additional expenses and are based on a bespoke, tour by tour basis. There are no extra charges re fuel or taxes.  There is no maximum time limit to the tour(s) but we would aim to have you back in time for dinner. 

An 8 hour day tour with one/two passengers FROM £75.00/hour  

would cost a total FROM £520.00 (only FROM £260.00/person) .

Prices will increase based on day of the week and month of the year

I can also help with airport and hotel transfers as part of your adventure in Scotland.  Prices on application but please remember, we are not a taxi/cab service.

Our tours depart from both Edinburgh and Stirling visiting some of the most iconic landmarks in Scotland while on route to Skye. At Heartland Travel we are often asked about doing a 2 day Isle of Skye tour from Edinburgh. The Isle of Skye truly is an amazing island and is a ‘must see’ destination when travelling to Scotland.

You may be asking the question, why travel to Isle of Skye from Edinburgh? The answer is easy, the place you will visit and the sites you will see will stay with you for the rest of your life.

Edinburgh city itself, with its rich history and vibrant culture, is a great place to start your journey. Edinburgh Castle is a must see when visiting Scotland but the city, with all its galleries and museums, will fill your first few days.

Starting you Journey to the Isle of Skye from Edinburgh your Itinerary will be filled with some of Scotland finest sites. Our suggestion for the first leg of the Journey is to take some time at the ancient town of Stirling as there are many great attractions to see, such as Stirling Castle and the Wallace monument.

As you continue north on your journey to the Isle of Skye from Edinburgh, you will pass though the spectacular Glencoe. We recommend you make sure to plan enough time to enjoy this wonderful area and spend time in the mountains on some of the well-marked hiking paths.

When travelling through the highlands of Scotland, this journey will naturally lead you on to visit the world-famous  Loch Ness . You could carry out some monster hunting at loch Ness, take a boat trip on the Loch itself, or visit  Urquhart Castle  on the side of the Loch.
