The "Life Support" package is critical to making this work, FYI, as far as I can tell, and having the Indeo codec seems to be necessary for the in-game videos (which are important to communicating the plot).
The v1.1 patch is the official patch (which made the game run.. it, as shipped on CD, wouldn't run on most systems, so this is critical). And the "v1.1 driver pack" is basically an OpenGL fix.
Finally, I included some info and files re: the "UMX project" (which I haven't fully figured out, but should allow in-game music without the CD image being mounted).

I got this when it first came out on the PC and to date is one of my favourite Star Trek games. At the time Honor Guard at decent graphics and the Klingon theme gave it a great setting for a FPS.
are you sure about that music? 2021-12-01 0 point Windows version
doin some searching an came across this from : http://www.oldunreal.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=2245&p=23849&hilit=klingon+honor+guard&sid=cded6dcc7d45e04b504b3c2a52014910 . MusicallyInspired Re: Klingon Honor Guard UMX Project (De-CD-ification) Post Fri Sep 07, 2018 12:32 am Alright here it is. There are two versions of the pack (both about 255 MB). Neither include the modified DLL file that removes the CD check as that is essentially a cracked file that bypasses copy protection and I definitely don't feel comfortable distributing that. There are instructions elsewhere online that explain how to do it yourself with your own copy, though. My version also disables the cutscene videos from playing as I have never been able to get them working on modern systems, but that's neither here nor there as that function is, again, not included here. 1) This is the simple pack that comes with UMX files made straight from the CD tracks without any alterations. The altered MAP files included merely redirect from CD tracks to the included UMX files ive downloaded the music and map files as close to the instructions as i could follow and when i was finished i got the title is missing error i replaced the maps files with the unreal versions and the music was sure where to put it so i put it in the sound
Lonely Soldier 2021-08-31 1 point Windows version
I installed the game and followed all the install instructions, the game is playable but only at 800 by 600 and the music isn't working at all even with the music fixes. But why are there two music replacement folders when they have the same map and music files?

The player is a new member of the Klingon Honor Guard and is tasked with stopping an assassination plot against Chancellor Gowron . During the course of play, the player can encounter other Klingons , Andorians , Nausicaans , Lethians , and other creatures including targs , deadly Klingon sea animals, and giant snow-beasts on the prison planet, Rura Penthe .
The game begins with the player on a training exercise. The exercise is interrupted by the Dahar Master, Korek; who tells the player-character there has been an attack on the Klingon High Council . To prevent the assassination of Gowron, the player-character must discover who is behind the attack on the Council, and bring them to justice as per Klingon law.
This means the ultimate goal of the player, in the game, is to take revenge for the Council and kill the assassins in personal combat.
In the course of the player-character's quest, s/he visits several locations and planets including a pirate base on Qualor II , the dreaded Klingon prison on Rura Penthe, the half-destroyed moon of Praxis , and a starbase run by Andorians.
The final confrontation takes place at the Honor Guard headquarters.

Weapons [ ].
Ten weapons can be found throughout the game. All are of Klingon design.
- D'k tahg – Standard melee weapon, can be thrown. If you can sneak up on an enemy you can throw one at their back and kill them instantly. Up to 10 can be carried at any one time.
- Disruptor Pistol – The other weapon you start with. Primary fire is a single bolt. Secondary fire is two red bolts that cause considerably more damage, but uses more ammo. This weapon will recharge itself given enough time.
- Disruptor Rifle – This weapon works largely the same as the pistol but with a higher fire rate. Unlike the pistol however it uses dilithium crystals.
- Assault Disruptor – This weapon behaves like a shotgun. Primary mode fires two bolts that spread out after a short distance. Secondary mode fires a single bigger burst instantly causing more damage at the cost of range and accuracy. This weapon too uses dilithium crystals.
- Ding' pah – Works like a boomerang. When you fire the weapon it will bounce off surfaces and fly for around five seconds before returning to its user. If something gets in way it will cause considerable damage before returning to the wielder. Activating the alternate fire mode will detonate the blade in mid-air.
- Grenade Launcher – Uses rockets. Primary fires grenades that explode after a few seconds. Secondary fires flash grenades that will blind anything close for a few seconds.
- Trilithium Rocket Launcher – Primary fires rockets, secondary fires slow moving rockets that will home in on the nearest target after a few seconds.
- Sith Har Blaster – Rifle-type weapon powered by Plasma Fuel Cells. Primary mode fires bursts that will hit the target instantly. Secondary mode uses up the entire cell in one powerful burst.
- Particle Dispersal Cannon – A very powerful weapon that utilizes dilithium crystals. Primary fires a huge blast that will disintegrate anything close by. Secondary fires a grenade that after a few seconds explodes creating a vortex that will trap anything close before it explodes.
- Bat'leth – Like the D'k tahg it can be thrown. However, you can carry only one at any given moment.
Inventory [ ]
- Anti Grav Belt – When activated this will temporarily nullify any gravity present.
- Armor – Three types of armor are available: Battle Dress Armor , the Vac Suit and the Advanced Combat Armor . Each offers more protection than the last. The latter two will also protect you from the dangers of space.
- Blood Wine – Increases damage of all weapons for a short time.
- Cameras – These can be used to get another view of the level.
- Combat Goggles – When activated they can be used to zoom in on distant objects.
- Health – Comes in three varieties, Medipatches that heal small amounts of health, Medikits that heal more substantial amounts of health and Gagh that will fully heal the player and can take him up to double the normal amount of health.
- Mag Boots – Useful in zero-g areas (i.e. space). These will stick the player to any surface.
- Stealth Suit – Despite the name looks nearly identical to the Anti Grav Belt. When activated it will render the player cloaked. However if you touch an enemy or fire one of your weapons they will become aware of your presence.
- Tricorder – When activated this will reveal the presence of enemies nearby on your HUD, even through walls.

Description official descriptions
Klingon Honor Guard is a first person shooter set in the Star Trek universe . It uses the Unreal engine , with all its accompanying visual eye candy.
As the name suggests, this game stars the Klingons, those lovable growling, bellowing, live-grub scarfing fellows who as a whole are probably more suited to be the subject of a first person kill fest than the peace-loving can't-we-all-just-coexist Federation folks.
As the game starts out you're a new freshman inductee into the Honor Guard, the Empire's most elite group of warriors and bodyguards to the Emperor (of course the Klingon Empire hasn't HAD an Emperor for a couple hundred years, but that's another story). It seems someone has made an assassination attempt on the Empire's head honcho Supreme Chancellor Gowron. The conspiracy runs deep, and not even the members of the Council or the Honor Guard can be trusted. Except you, of course, since you just got here and have no idea what's going on. That's why Honor Guard leader Korek has assigned you to track down the assassins and give them a taste of vengeance, Klingon style. What follows is a sonic disruptor bolt filled, pink blood spilling spree through various Klingon locations such as a Klingon suburb, the penal asteroid Rura Penthe, and even the interior of a Bird of Prey spaceship. All through the way you'll be alternatively taunted and ordered around by your commander Kurn, fight your way through an alien conspiracy, and ultimately face off with a pair of familiar faces from Generations who you'd think would be dead by now.

A cool first person shoot em up in the star trek universe.
The Good I got this one for $10 in a bargain bin (my friend bought it for $89.95!) I was suprised at this one, I am not a Star Trek fan, but this game was excellent. The graphics were good, the weapons were alright. The Bad The only thing that comes to mind is the music. It sounded like MIDI but it is CD music. The Bottom Line If you see it for $10 buy it. If you see it for over $20, don't bother.

Star Trek’s 10 Greatest Klingons
Every new live-action star trek show & movie on paramount+ is a discovery spinoff, seven of nine is the fastest captain of the uss enterprise since kirk in j.j. abrams’ star trek.
- Worf remains Starfleet's only full-blooded Klingon due to his unique upbringing and ability to bridge Klingon and Federation cultures.
- Star Trek: Voyager's B'Elanna Torres is half-Klingon but she returned to Starfleet after joining the Maquis.
- Worf's blend of Klingon heritage and Starfleet values in "Star Trek: Picard" showcases the importance of honoring all cultures.
37 years after Lieutenant Commander Worf (Michael Dorn) made his debut as Starfleet's first Klingon in Star Trek: The Next Generation , Star Trek still hasn't had any other full-blooded Klingon Starfleet officers. Worf was highly visible as a Starfleet Klingon, and had an illustrious career that matched that visibility. Worf was promoted to Chief of Security on the USS Enterprise-D after the death of Lt. Tasha Yar (Denise Crosby), became a Strategic Operations Officer on Star Trek: Deep Space Nine , and reunited with the Enterprise crew for the TNG movies, before becoming Captain of the USS Enterprise-E .
Star Trek: The Original Series had Ensign Pavel Chekov (Walter Koenig) and Lieutenant Hikaru Sulu (George Takei) on the bridge of the original USS Enterprise, to show that Russia and Japan would be part of Earth's Starfleet in the future, instead of the enemies of the United States that they were in the 1960s. After the Khitomer Accords in Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country created an alliance between the United Federation of Planets and the Klingon Empire, Star Trek: The Next Generation showed that Starfleet would also welcome former alien enemies and added Worf as Starfleet's first Klingon officer.
Star Trek has many great Klingon characters from Kor to Worf and Kruge to Torres. But who are the best Klingon warriors that Qo'noS has to offer?
Why Is Worf Still The Only Klingon In Starfleet?
Worf is the only Klingon in Starfleet in the 24th century because of Worf's human and Klingon connections . After Romulans attacked the Khitomer colony where young Worf lived with his mother, Worf was rescued by Starfleet and adopted by a human family. The Rozhenkos raised Worf as their own, and encouraged Worf to explore his Klingon heritage on his own terms. During a Klingon coming of age ceremony, Worf was prophesied to be both a warrior and a pioneer among Klingons, so Worf enrolled at Starfleet Academy. Without human influences, it's unlikely that any other Klingons would want to join Starfleet instead of the Klingon military.
As antagonists of the Federation, Klingons were inscrutable, but Worf bridged the gap between Klingons and the Federation by being a member of both worlds. Worf's stories on both TNG and DS9 offered glimpses into Klingon culture from a Klingon's perspective , so the Klingons became less mysterious. Through Worf, both Starfleet and viewers learned more about Klingons as people, and with that exposure came understanding. The reverse is also true, since Worf is responsible for teaching Klingons more about the ways of Starfleet, but no other full-blooded Klingons followed Worf's lead into Starfleet.
Star Trek: Voyager 's half-human, half-Klingon Lieutenant B'Elanna Torres dropped out of Starfleet Academy after 2 years, but after 7 years as the USS Voyager's Chief Engineer, Torres was pardoned for her Maquis crimes and received a full Starfleet commission. B'Elanna's name appears on the crew manifest of the USS Dauntless in Star Trek: Prodigy .
What Makes Worf A Better Starfleet Officer Than Klingon Warrior?
Worf chooses starfleet loyalty and a klingon heart.
Worf is often caught between his Klingon heritage and his Federation upbringing, but ultimately makes a better Starfleet officer than Klingon warrior. Throughout TNG, Worf places Klingon values above Federation mores, as if trying to prove to himself that he really is a true Klingon warrior, despite being raised by humans on Earth. Star Trek: Deep Space Nine really puts Worf's loyalties to the test when Chancellor Gowron (Robert O'Reilly) asks Worf to choose between Starfleet and the Klingon Empire. Even with his honor on the line, Worf chooses Starfleet. In return, General Martok (J.G. Hertzler) chooses Worf, and shows Worf what being Klingon really means.
After serving as the Federation ambassador to Qo'noS, Worf returns in Star Trek: Picard season 3 as an "independent contractor" allied with both Starfleet and the Klingon Empire. This blending of Klingon philosophy and Federation values might actually be the most Starfleet thing that Worf has ever done, since one goal of the Federation is to create a society that honors and respects all cultures. Worf takes pride in both his Klingon heritage and his Starfleet career , and blends these disparate cultures within himself. It's a difficult Star Trek balancing act that makes Worf a tough act to follow as Starfleet's first Klingon.
