We glide rain or shine! Ponchos are provided when it rains. In the event of extreme, inclement weather, as predicted by the National Weather Forecast Service, rain checks or rescheduling options are available. We require a minimum of 36 hours advance notice, of your tour’s departure time, for all cancellations and rescheduling (unless canceled by ACGT). Any tour that is canceled less than 36 hours prior to scheduled departure time is non-refundable and non-transferable. All cancellations must be made either in person or with a customer service representative over the phone. E-mails and voice messages will not be accepted. All cancellations are subject to an 8% processing cancellation fee (unless canceled by ACGT). All contracted private and group tours please defer to your contract for your agreed terms and conditions. Tours must depart at their scheduled departure time. Guests who do not arrive at least 15 minutes before the scheduled departure time will not be able to participate and forfeit their payment. Those persons who are under the influence of drugs or alcohol are not permitted to participate and a refund will not be issued. All participants must be at least 12 years old, WEIGHT MORE THEN 100 LBS and less than 260 LBS in accordance with manufacturer recommendations. An adult must accompany anyone under the age of 18 years old. Participants must be able to stand for extended periods of time. All participants must be able to ascend a flight of stairs without assistance. Pregnant women are prohibited from participating in this activity. Any reservation of 6 or more will be charged a gratuity of 15% upon arrival. Any group of 8 or more that desires to glide together is considered a private tour and is subject to a private tour service charge and gratuity. Please refer to all FAQ's for further stipulations and recommendations. In the event of park festivals or races, construction, and the like, tours will be adjusted for safety and quality. We do require all participants sign waivers and release forms absolving ACGT, LLC, all employees of ACGT from any and all litigant and responsibility for any and all injury or damages as you glide at their own risk. Those who refuse to completely fill and sign a release form will not be able to participate and will not be granted a refund. We do provide training and practice.

The entrance to our section of Millennium Garage is found only from Columbus Drive. Please do not enter on Michigan Avenue as that is a different garage and the vouchers which we offer are not valid. Once in the garage proceed west to the Millennium Park side of the garage. Then once past the entrance gates turn left, heading south to Monroe Street. Park on level 2. Please follow the orange Absolutely Chicago Segway Tour signs. We are located in the lobby of level 2 of the garage.

We are located at 238 E. Monroe Street. Please enter the SE entrance to Excelon Pavilion (large white structure) of Millennium Park. It is between Michigan Ave. and Columbus Drive, on the north side of E. Monroe. Once at the entrance look for our orange Absolutely Chicago Segway tour signs and follow the arrow. Enter the elevator and proceed to the lobby of level 2. (Our signs are not visible until you are in front of the entrance.)

Terms & Conditions

Weight restrictions.

In order to assure our riders' safety, there is a minimum weight requirement of 100 pounds (45 KGs). The maximum recommended weight limit as specified by the manufacturer, Segway, LLC, is 250  (120 KGs) pounds. In order to ride, your weight should fall somewhere within this range.

Arrival Time

Our tour starts promptly at the scheduled time, therefore please arrive 10 minutes prior to tour starting time in order to complete the necessary paperwork.

Please be on time!

Chicago Segway Tour retains the right to refuse participation to the riders that arrive after the designated Starting time. By showing up late you will not be able to participate for safety and liability reasons, and your tour will be considered non-refundable. However,we do offer complimentary rescheduling options from Monday to Thursday with a small fee.

Age Requirements

• Minimum Age: 12 years old and up
• 14-17 years of age: Parents or guardians must sign a waiver to have children participate in the tour
• 18 and over: No parental permission required

Each member of your party will be required to complete and sign a liability waiver form. Minors under the age of 18 will need a parent or guardian to complete their paperwork. An adult must accompany minors under the age of 18 on our tours. Those who refuse to completely fill and sign a release form will not be able to participate and will not be granted a refund. We do provide hands on training and practice.

Rain Check Policy (With NO Expiration Date)

Segway Personal Transporters are all-weather. Tours can operate in rain or shine, but at Chicago Segway Tour we run tours ONLY on a shiny, warm, sunny day and not like other companies that they run business even when the weather is heavily raining.

Your safety is our priority at Chicago Segway Tour (CST). When it’s raining heavily we will NOT jeopardize your safety for the sake of a tour, because:

• It's unsafe
• The tour will not be as enjoyable
• You will not be able to capture pictures as if it was nicer weather.

At Chicago Segway Tour’s discretion for the above obvious reasons when it’s raining we have created the “RAIN CHECK POLICY”.

Customers not wishing to take their scheduled tour because of weather concerns or conditions are allowed to reschedule ("Rain Check"). "Rain Checks" do not have an expiration date. This policy is designed to cater to out-of-towners who are unable to find a satisfactory date to reschedule to while still in Chicago on their current visit. They have the option of taking their tour at any future date when they will be in Chicago again, or they may transfer their tour to friends or family. This can be accomplished with a simple phone call.

Sometimes when the rain is light, we can still provide the service but the final decision is on your hands. We will give you the benefit of the doubt, and at the same time a Rain Check with No expiration date.

Gift Certificates Policy

Our Gift Certificates NEVER expire! Please note that even though some of our older gift certificates may have contained an expiration date, they are still valid.

Cancellation / Rescheduling / Refund Policy / Adjusting Number of Riders / No Showed Up

All tours cancelled less than 48 hours are subject to a cancellation fee. However we do offer complimentary rescheduling options from Monday to Friday with a small fee. All tours canceled within 24 hours of scheduled departure are non-refundable and final.

In case you want to reduce the number of riders of your group, you must notify us at least 48 hours in advance , otherwise you are responsible for the bigger size of your initial reservation.

If you fail to notify us of a cancellation OR adjusting the numbers of your riders by e-mail, your reservation is still active for us and therefore in case you do not show up there will be a 100% charge. We do not accept verbal cancellations.

Other Conditions

Chicago Segway Tours has a strict policy against alcohol consumption and Segway operation. Alcohol is forbidden on all Segway tours and any client suspected of drinking before or during a Segway tour will immediately forfeit their tour and no refund will be given.

Women who suspect they may be pregnant or are pregnant are not permitted to ride on our tours, due to the risk to both mother and child.

Riders must be capable of standing for extended periods of time. All participants must be able to ascend a flight of stairs without assistance.  Those ones who can not, will not be permitted to participated on our Chicago sightseeing tours.

Your safety is always our highest priority and we begin each tour with a thorough orientation of the Segway and its use before departing our store. It usually takes thirty minutes and its a part of the actual duration of the tour. We provide ample of time for practicing on your Segway before the tour departs. We have hands on training! We train every one individually, one to one, on the spot and we do NOT use training video like our competitors do. We provide certified fun !

A Segway should NOT be operated if you have conditions, which may cause you to become disoriented, faint or have motion sickness and seizures. Any person with health restrictions, seizure disorders, motion sickness, intolerance or sensitivity to extreme heat and sun, or persons who have had recent prosthetic surgery should not participate in this activity. Riders must be capable of standing for extended periods of time.

I hereby relinquish any information in regards to my personal health. If I have any health conditions it is my (rider’s) responsibility to mention and bring to the attention of Chicago Segway Tour employee – tour guide’ before tour commencement or services are rendered

Our Tours have approximately duration 2:30 hours, including the training session. Sometimes we may finish earlier than the expected time because we do not run into traffic and because the group might be smaller than the normal sizes. In this case there is no refund and we are not obligated to stay outside as far as we covered our route.

All riders in order to be able to participate on our Segway tours must have with them a valid ID and credit card, No debit cards (which we hold onto them, until you return back for safety reasons) otherwise you will not be able to participate on our Chicago Segway tours. All sales are finals. Our prices do not include the City of Chicago amusement fee. There is two dollars processing fee per rider. Our fleet is consisted from i2 and x2 off road Segway models.

All the reservations made over the phone within 24hours before the Segway Tour departure are considered final.

We recommend flat shoes; rocking athletic shoes are prohibited , as are high heels.

We do stop for photo opportunities along the route. For your safety and the safety of others, still cameras and video cameras are allowed, but are NOT allowed to be used while the Segway is moving, as it is necessary to have two hands on the machine the Segway for safety reasons.

If special events, parades, festivals, athletic events or construction are in our area the Segway / Bike tour route will be altered without notice. We will make every effort to minimize disruptions to our tours caused by third-parties. We are not responsible for any loss associated with events out of our immediate control.

Check your Confirmation for Correct Date and Time

It is your responsibility to be at the designated tour location on the correct date. Please check your confirmation carefully. No refund for no-shows.

Please be on time for all scheduled tours. Print your E-ticket and bring it with you. Anyone who is late will not be able to participate on our tour/s for safety reasons. If that person wishes to proceed on a tour, we offer private tours starting at $99 per person.

Photographs Taken on Tour: I understand that photographs may be taken by Chicago Segway Tours while on tour and that these photos will may be distributed in an electronic digital copy to all tour participants through the Chicago Segway Tour Facebook photo album posted every week on the Chicago Segway Tour Facebook account. I understand that all photographs taken during the Segway tour remain as a property of CST and may be used in promotional and advertising materials of the company. I further agree to keep CST and its employees harmless for using my photos.

Your tour will begin from our Millennium Park/ Grant Park office located at 300 E Monroe St. We kindly request that you arrive 15 minutes before your tour is scheduled to depart.
