‘Storm Pro-Motion’ – the name screams the best feature, its overall pro-level ball motion. Made in collaboration with none other than our very favorite Jason Belmonte, the professional bowler who has 25 career 300 games in PBA Tour events through 2020. The previous two Belmo balls- Storm Timeless and Storm Drive have gained lots of positive feedback. So Storm collaborated with Jason Belmonte again to design the Storm Pro-Motion. Whether you liked or disliked the Timeless and Drive balls that don’t matter because Storm Pro-Motion is completely different than those two reaction-wise. So, let’s dive right into the thorough Storm Pro-Motion Review.

One of Storm’s newest addition to its Signature line is Storm Pro-Motion. Unlike the previous two Belmo balls, Pro-Motion has the SPEC solid reactive coverstock . This is the same cover you’ve seen in Storm Crux Prime. The cover reads the lane better than any other solid reactive bowling balls. It blends out to the pattern well and not sensitive to slight changes in pattern. The SPEC coverstock brings out the best of this ball- solid rolling and predictable ball motion.

Pro-Motion is sanded to a matte finish at a 200-Grit Abralon from the factory. The SPEC solid reactive cover makes this version of the ball far more usable for a wide range of bowlers. The 2000 Abralon box finish doesn’t give players any trouble handling the medium to heavier oil volume or the longer length.

The ball is a beauty- inside and out. For the weight-block, Storm has come up with a brand new symmetrical core called Piston. It produces a total differential of 0.049″ and an RG of 2.52″, giving you five to six inches of track flare in the oil patterns. Although Crux Prime and Pro-Motion have the same coverstocks, the core of Pro-Motion signifies a totally different reaction than the heavy rolling and early Crux Prime. The combination of a strong cover and weaker symmetrical Piston core makes this ball super versatile and usable.

Belmo balls are always great-looking. Although the previous two had color swirling, storm Pro-Motion has a solid matte steel blue color. Besides, Storm’s official logo, you’re also getting the original Belmo logo at the back that signifies the collaboration with Jason Belmonte. Storm has also added a special vanilla snap fragrance to Storm Pro-Motion to make bowling fun and help you concentrate better.

Overall Performance

Bowling enthusiasts will immediately fall in love with this ball. On top, Storm Pro-Motion is a great professional benchmark ball that gives you lots of options in terms of creating different shapes and layouts. This is exactly what bowlers look for when bowling in different environments.

The ball delivers a predictable mid-lane grab a.k.a bite and then makes a strong transitioning arc all the way through the pins. Its strong overall breakpoint shape makes the ball hit the pins like a truck. Pro-Motion goes long and flips hard at the backend, and that’s why it hits the pocket just like an ideal heavy/sweeping arc-motion ball supposed to do. You can get finesse out of this ball as long as the lanes are oily.

Pro-Motion feels like a combination of Phaze II, Idol Pro, and the IQ Tour in the same vein. It’s not as early as the Idol, nor slow down lane as IQ Tour, and it’s every bit as versatile as the Phaze II, maybe even more so. But Pro-Motion is big on control and continuation.

Its biggest strength comes from the SPEC cover, but you get a controlled hook due to its core. With such a low RG and high total differential, the Pro-Motion is born to hook. It gets to a particular spot on the lane and then makes a turn that isn’t really a flip but is more like an arc. Moreover, it has high flare potential (5”-6”) which makes it perfect for unlimited strikes.

• Traditional reactive covers are good at oil absorption which isn’t a good characteristic. The chemical adhesion helps a ball to blend the lane out, and also contributes to picking up the oil. Pro-Motion here understands that and has less adhesion. It absorbs less oil than other solid reactive bowling balls.
• Pro-Motion is one of the most consistent and readable balls you will ever throw. Belmonte said himself that this is one of the best bowling balls he has ever thrown. He was not hyping, nor blowing smokes.

Storm Pro Motion Bowling Ball Features:

The Pro-Motion is the latest entry into Storm’s Signature series. Like the previous two releases in this line, the Pro-Motion has the Belmo logo engraved on its right side to signify Storm’s collaboration with Jason Belmonte on its design. This single-color ball uses the SPEC Solid Reactive coverstock that was introduced on the  Crux Prime , finished from the factory at a 2000 Abralon surface. The Pro-Motion also features the new symmetrical Piston weight block. It produces an RG of 2.52″ and a total differential of 0.049″.

To create this very special PRO-Motion, Jason teamed up Storm’s Research and Development department to create a weight block design that is unique and benefits bowlers of all styles. It is a dynamic symmetrical piece that has some very unique characteristics. For bowlers looking to roll their best scores, the PRO-Motion gives total performance from foul line to head pin with a ball motion akin to the pros’.

The Piston core brings with it months of testing and validation in conjunction with the best player of our time: Jason Belmonte. Developed specifically for his line, the Piston Core creates separate helical archs that make the shape corkscrew as it tumbles. Stepladder finals set at the 2024 PWBA Tour Championship

2024 UnSeen Bowling Green fall tour season announced

The Historic RailPark & Train Museum has announced its fall schedule of UnSeen Bowling Green historic walking tours.

The tours, which will run from September until October, will feature the Murder & Misdemeanors Tour, The REAL Housewives of Bowling Green Tour and Pauline Tabor’s XXX Tour.

Early access to purchase tickets will be Aug. 20 for RailPark members only. The general public can purchase tickets on Aug. 22.

Tickets can be purchased at UnSeenBGKY.com or by calling the RailPark at (270) 745-7317.

Debbie Eaton, trolley tour and programming manager at the RailPark, said the RailPark has been hosting the UnSeen walking tours since 2018.

“The public has really embraced it,” she said. “And they are very curious about the history of Bowling Green. A lot of the stories are taken from old newspaper articles, but there are some that are not found in the paper or in history books.”

Eaton said the most popular tour, Pauline Tabor’s XXX Tour, will return with more fun for adults 21 and over. Participants will hear stories about Bowling Green’s famous madam as they stroll through downtown Bowling Green and visit some of the local bars.

“The Pauline tour is so popular,” she said. “We have had people calling and asking about it all year long. They are just so curious about Pauline.”

Pauline will be played by Ashlea Shepherd, who has taken on the role before.

New to this year’s event are Shane Holinde, who will play a retired police detective with the Murders & Misdemeanors tour, and Brandey Freeman with The REAL Housewives of Bowling Green tour.

During the Murders & Misdemeanors tour, guests will get to hear stories of crime and the darker side of Bowling Green that they may have never heard before.

“Some of the stories are very sad, but there are others, like some of the crimes, that will almost make you laugh,” Eaton said.

Eaton, who has been working on the Real Housewives tour, said she has uncovered information about some of the remarkable women of Bowling Green – “some good and some bad” – that people probably know nothing about.

“For the most part, it will be a real eye-opener,” she said. “There’s going to be a lot of surprises and I’m disappointed that I couldn’t include information about every single woman that I learned about.”

Eaton said all stories are thoroughly researched and new stories are added each year to keep the tour fresh and entertaining.

“There are so many legends that we discuss that aren’t well-documented and we make sure to let the audience know if that legend is rumor or gossip,” she said.

Tour dates for the Murders & Misdemeanors tour are Sept. 5, 6, 12, 13, 20, 21, 26, 27 and 28 and Oct. 3, 4, 5, 17, 18, 19, 24, 25, 26 and 31.

Tour dates for The REAL Housewives of Bowling Green are Sept. 5, 6, 7, 12, 20, 21 and 28 and Oct. 3, 4, 5, 10, 11, 12, 17, 18, 19, 24, 25, 26 and 31.

Check-in begins at 6 p.m., with the tours starting at 6:30 p.m. at a location to be determined.

Tour dates for Pauline Tabor’s XXX Tour are Sept. 12, 17, 19, 24 and 26 and Oct. 1, 3, 15, 20, 24 and 29.

Check-in will begin at 6:30 p.m., with the tours beginning at 7 p.m., also at a location to be determined.

All tour dates are subject to change and tours will be held rain or shine, unless there is lightning.

A select group of books that have given inspiration to many of the tours over the years are also available for pre-purchase, including “The Cemetery Road Murders,” “Pauline’s” and “The Madam of Six-Twenty-Seven Clay Street.”

Here's What's Going On With The "It Ends With Us" Drama

"Blake lively forgetting her character is a victim of domestic abuse."

As rumors swirl about the cast and crew of it ends with us having a potential rift , it's worth noting how differently its stars — blake lively and justin baldoni — have promoted the controversial project..

The movie is based on a Colleen Hoover novel of the same name and follows flower shop owner Lily Bloom (played by Blake) as she navigates an abusive relationship with Ryle Kincaid (played by Justin). It's a story about the generational cycle of domestic violence, and the extent of which both the book and the movie succeed in tackling this subject has been brought under scrutiny.

Rumors of a feud between Blake and Justin, who also directed the movie, emerged after TikTok and Reddit users noted that much of the movie's stars, including Blake and Colleen, do not follow Justin on Instagram.

Justin also did not appear with his cast members on the premiere red carpet or in other promotional material, which he explained : "This isn't my night — this is a night for all the women who we made this movie for. This is a night for Blake, this is a night for Colleen. I'm just so grateful that we're here, five years in the making."

Sources then told the Hollywood Reporter that Blake commissioned her own cut of the movie, but it's not entirely clear whether or not this would have led to a falling out. When asked about directing a sequel, Justin said , “I think there are better people for that one. I think Blake Lively’s ready to direct. That’s what I think."

What we do have concrete evidence for is how Blake and Justin have respectively promoted the project, which warrants discussion. Starting with Blake, the most obvious part of her press tour has been her floral looks, which evoke her character's name and profession.

Blake also wore florals for her crossover event with her drinks company, Betty Buzz, which she tied into the movie with a "Betty Blooms" theme. "When your company throws a florist themed party for your movie," she wrote on Instagram . Blake also launched her own haircare line amid promotion of the movie.

Another key part of Blake's press for It Ends with Us has been discussing her husband, Ryan Reynolds, alongside his release of Deadpool & Wolverine. Ryan worked on the movie, though Blake appeared to somewhat inflate his writing contributions. Ryan also appeared in a skit where he jokingly interviewed Blake's other love interest in the movie, played by Brandon Sklenar, which Blake also shared on her Instagram.

Elsewhere on Blake's Instagram is a promotional video with Brandon where they make the hot chocolate cookies from the movie. She also shared a lighthearted "girl talk" video from her apartment with other female creatives on the movie, adding in the caption, "I’m gonna be sad when marketing is over and I don’t have excuses to sit on my couch dressed up with you ladies."

Blake has alluded to the movie's darker themes at times."I didn't have any hesitations [with taking the role]," she told Extra . "She had a lot of life experience and was still susceptible to not seeing something that she should see, given her past... I just fell in love with Lily and I really wanted to tell her story, and to be able to tell it in a way where I was able to have such authorship was really important to me."

Let's contrast this with the tone with which Justin has approached the movie, which has been decidedly more serious. His Instagram bio directly links to No More, an anti-domestic abuse nonprofit that was the "charitable partner" of the movie . Justin worked with them in his depiction of violence in the movie, and he has sported their pin alongside tagging them in numerous other posts.

Indeed, speaking about abuse has been the focus of Justin's press. "The message is the most important thing. That’s why [Colleen] wrote the book," he told Today . "I was always thinking about the outcome and the why, and the one woman I was making this for who would sit in that theater and maybe not go back to her abusive relationship."

"The question that's always asked is, 'Why did she stay?' That's the wrong question. What we need to be asking ourselves is, 'Why do men harm?'" Justin said in an interview with CBS that he shared on his Instagram , adding in the caption, "This was not an easy story to tell, and yet it was profoundly important. I’ve learned so much."

Update blake shared a bbc interview clip from a london screening of the movie last week onto her instagram story. in the clip, she says, "this movie covers domestic violence, but what's important about this film is that she is not just a survivor and she's not just a victim and while those are huge things to be, they're not her identity.", "thank you to everyone who came out to show that people want to see films about women, and the multitudes we hold," she added. " it ends with us is a story of the female experience. all the highest highs, and lowest lows. and we are so proud of it. we have been in celebration of this film and of getting a message so important out there to the masses.".

She then linked to the National Domestic Violence Hotline, along with some statistics about abuse.

Self-promotion, not serious diplomacy? Why Harry and Meghan’s Colombia tour is so controversial

Harry and Meghan will touch down in Colombia this week as guests of the vice-president following the success of their three-day visit to Nigeria – but the invite has not been without controversy.

The royal couple will be given the opportunity to “illuminate Colombia’s role as a beacon of culture and innovation”, according to vice-president Francia Márquez , who has come under growing pressure alongside incumbent President Gustavo Petro, as part of a government stained by scandal and corruption allegations .

Now, a leading Colombian scholar has suggested Márquez’s invite of the Sussexes was a move of self-promotion, rather than an act of serious diplomacy.

Colombia’s first black vice-president and a “symbol” according to political scientist Mónica Pachón, Márquez famously led a campaign against illegal mining, which saw her named on the BBC’s 100 Women list in 2019.

In 2014, she was also involved in the Colombian peace process between the government and FARC - a Marxist revolutionary guerilla group - in one of Colombia’s largest steps towards ending the decades-long Colombian conflict.

But Pachón told The Independent that Márquez is not close to the President and “has not done much in the last two years” - so wants to “bring people who give her media attention”.

Some suggested the invite was a ploy from President Petro to deflect attention from a scandal-ridden term - but Ms Pachón dismissed the idea, arguing Petro “doesn’t care” about diplomacy and was “not involved”.

“He doesn’t care, right? His behaviour as a diplomat, he doesn’t arrive to the most important meetings with the US President, he’s travelling abroad to do stupid stuff.

“But I think he allows the vice president to do this kind of thing because she is the vice president, and she requires a little bit of attention.

“If the Duke and the Duchess are willing to play that game, well, good business for them,” Ms Pachón added.

Gustavo Petro, Colombia’s first left-wing President, elected on an ambitious programme of social reform , is halfway through a difficult first term, as a sluggish economy and multiple scandals consume his premiership.

In 2023, the attorney general’s office opened an investigation into Laura Sarabia, Petro’s chief of staff, which revealed police had been tapping her nanny’s phone.

Sarabia and Armando Benedetti, Petro’s election campaign manager who also employed the nanny, stepped down due to public pressure. An incensed Benedetti was recorded having an outburst against Petro, in which he threatens to reveal dirt about the election campaign.

Months later, Nicolas Petro, the president’s son , was indicted in January on money laundering charges, accused of funnelling funds from a drug lord towards his father’s presidential campaign.

Varied legislative success

Among the scandal, some progress was made on Petro’s election promises.

An early coalition of support with opposition parties was vital in pushing through his ambitious and highly progressive tax and pension reforms.

His government also boosted private-sector commitments towards environmental initiatives and has overseen the decline of deforestation to record lows.

Petro was partly elected upon his ‘Total Peace’ plan , which sought to broker ceasefires with paramilitary, guerilla and cartels.

Crime has long been on the decline in Colombia, with the homicide rate currently around a third of what it was at its 1991 peak, when 84 murders per 100,000 people were recorded.

Successive governments have sought to produce peace deals with the guerillas, paramilitaries and cartels - the trio of groups which brought devastation to Colombia in the late 20th century.

Other signature reforms concerned education, health, and labour. But not only have these stalled legislatively, they have prompted mass protests and political upheaval since the beginning of the year.

The public voice their dismay

“Today begins the Colombia of the possible,” was Petro’s rallying cry following the election. But since then, his approval rating crashed from 56 percent to around half that figure in the last 6 months.

Up to 200,000 people protested against Petro’s programme of social reforms in April, with critics claiming it would damage a struggling economy.

Last October’s regional elections, touted as a referendum on Petro’s 14-month-long presidency, saw voters in major cities flocked to Petro’s opponents, with Pacto Historico winning just two out of 32 governorships.

He is nonetheless likely to survive until the next election, analysts believe, as no president has ever been impeached in Colombia before.

Amid growing backlash over the promotion of It Ends with Us , Blake Lively is being called out for her response to a question about domestic violence in a new interview.

Blake stars alongside Justin Baldoni in the recently-released film, which is an adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s 2016 novel. Focusing on the generational cycle of domestic violence, the story follows flower shop owner Lily Bloom, played by Blake, as she navigates an abusive relationship with Justin’s character, Ryle Kincaid.

Throughout the press tour, Blake has faced criticism for how she’s promoted the movie — which has, along with the book, been scrutinized by some for how it tackles the subject of domestic violence.

While Blake has touched on the movie's darker themes occasionally, she has undoubtedly remained lighthearted throughout most of the press tour. For example, she’s focused much of her energy on her floral looks , which reference her character's name and profession. She even says in the film’s official TikTok account’s promotional clip, “Grab your friends, wear your florals,” as she encourages people to watch the movie.

Blake has also used the film’s press tour to promote her drinks company, Betty Buzz , and her newly launched hair care line . Moreover, she recently posted a video of a “girl talk” at her apartment with some of the other women featured in the movie. “I’m gonna be sad when marketing is over and I don’t have excuses to sit on my couch dressed up with you ladies,” she wrote in the caption.

Additionally, Blake has involved her husband Ryan Reynolds, who is currently starring in Deadpool & Wolverine , in much of her promotion of It Ends with Us . It has been revealed that Ryan worked on parts of the movie — something that Blake drew large attention to — and, earlier this month, he  jokingly interviewed Brandon Sklenar, who plays Blake’s other love interest in the film.

Blake’s lighthearted promotion of It Ends with Us has infuriated several internet users, who were hoping she’d use this press tour to draw attention to the movie’s darker themes.

“As a DV survivor, I am absolutely disgusted by the cutesy way this film is being promoted. Like it’s a rom-com, grab your girls and your florals? I wish you could feel empathy to the deep and dark things myself and other women have had to experience. Instead of making it about florals and sparkles,” one person wrote on Instagram. Another user wrote, “Disappointed that your promoting YOUR OWN hair care products and flower dresses rather then shining more light on DV.”

Amid the backlash, Blake recently shared a BBC interview  clip filmed at a screening of It Ends with Us , in which she says, “This movie covers domestic violence, but what's important about this film is that she is not just a survivor and she's not just a victim and while those are huge things to be, they're not her identity.”

She also wrote over the clip, “Thank you to everyone who came out to show that people WANT to see films about women, and the multitudes we hold. It Ends with Us is a story of the female experience. All the highest highs, and lowest lows. And we are so proud of it. We have been in celebration of this film and of getting a message so important out there to the masses.”

Justin, on the other hand, has consistently promoted the movie very differently. Not only has he actively platformed anti-domestic abuse nonprofit No More, but he has focused his promotional interviews around the subject of domestic abuse.

“The message is the most important thing. That’s why [Colleen] wrote the book,” he said last week. “I was always thinking about the outcome and the why, and the one woman I was making this for who would sit in that theater and maybe not go back to her abusive relationship.”

Fast-forward to now, and Blake has been called out for another It Ends with Us promotional interview.

In a recent Jake’s Takes interview , hosted by Jake Hamilton, Blake — who appears alongside her costar Brandon — is asked about how people affected by the movie might approach her in public to discuss some of its themes.

“Most of us, if we’re lucky enough to run into a celebrity in public, we only have a few moments to maybe speak with you guys. But for people who see this movie who relate to the topics on a deeply personal level, they’re really gonna wanna talk to you. This movie is gonna affect people, and they’re gonna wanna tell you about their life,” the interviewer began.

“If someone understands the themes of this movie, comes across you in public, and they wanna really talk to you, what’s the best way for them to be able to talk to you about this? How would you recommend they go about it?” he asked Blake.

Blake proceeded to make a joke as she sarcastically questioned, “Like, asking for my address, or my phone number, or, like, location share?”

“I could just location share you,” she said before laughing. The interviewer quipped back, “Social security number?” to which Blake replied, “I’m a Virgo, so like, are we talking logistics, are we talking emotionally?”

As Blake spoke, Brandon — who didn’t laugh — awkwardly looked to the floor.

Blake then answered more seriously, “Yeah, what’s been beautiful about this movie is that, like, unfortunately, we all know at least someone, but we normally know a lot more than someones, we know some manys who have experienced this. And the beauty of this has been to see people, and to see this movie alongside women who haven’t experienced this — thank Goodness — go, ‘Woah, I fell in love, too. I saw the red flags, but they didn’t look red; they looked kinda fuchsia and cute. But you know, I ignored them.’”

Several internet users have been left “appalled” at Blake’s initial “dismissive” response to Jake’s question.

“The question was kind of serious, and she decided to make it about herself,” one tweet read , while another added , “this is so disrespectful knowing what the movie is about.”

“what was so hard about her taking this question seriously,” one more user wrote . “i’ve been so disappointed at how she’s been acting throughout this whole press run.”

Meanwhile, other users drew attention to Blake’s body language, questioning why she was sitting curled up on the sofa while Brandon sat upright in a more serious manner.

It’s worth noting that some people defended Blake, suggesting that she shouldn’t be expected to listen to other people’s experiences and that she was just setting that boundary with her answer. However, others argued that given she starred in and helped produce a film heavily centered around domestic violence, she should show a little more empathy when answering serious questions about the subject.

“Two things can be true: Blake Lively shouldn't be held responsible for holding others' trauma, AND her response, given how people will naturally respond to her film, is weird. It's as simple as saying, ‘I hope this film inspires meaningful conversations about DV and helps,’” one person said .

One user compared Blake with actor Jodie Comer, who highlighted statistics around sexual assault while promoting her Broadway show Prima Facie last year. In it, Jodie portrayed a lawyer defending men accused of sexual assault, who is assaulted herself.

“I can’t help but think of the stark contrast with Jodie Comer’s handling of Prima Facie - the respect, appreciation and compassion she showed victims is exactly what this woman should be trying to emulate. It’s not hard to be a decent human being,” they wrote .

Duleep Trophy: Lack of upcoming pacers, seam bowling all-rounders to the fore as selectors announce squads for season opener

With the Duleep Trophy moving away from the zonal format, the national selectors have selected a horde of international stars for the red-ball tournament that will open the 2024-25 domestic season next month.

BCCI secretary Jay Shah announced four squads on Wednesday – India A, India B, India C and India D – for the first round packed with Test regulars except Rohit Sharma , Virat Kohli , Ravichandran Ashwin , Jasprit Bumrah and the injured Mohammad Shami.

While India’s immediate focus will be on the five home Tests against Bangladesh and New Zealand, the team management will also have an eye on seam-bowling and batting back-ups for the five-Test tour to Australia starting in November.

However, the pointers from the chosen squads do not reflect well on the domestic performers from previous seasons. Instead, the selectors remain keen to continue banking on players with international experience and IPL exposure for the red-ball set-up.

Only 26 of the 61 chosen players are uncapped, 15 of them being bowlers.

Some of the issues that come to the fore are:

Lack of seam-bowling all-rounders

Given the lack of solid options and Hardik Pandya’s aversion to playing the longest format, Shivam Dube finds himself among the prominent all-rounders in the squads. Dube, however, enjoyed success on his red-ball return for Mumbai last season after nearly four years. He scored over 400 runs and picked up 12 wickets with his gentle medium pace. Andhra youngster Nitish Kumar Reddy is the only other prominent fast-bowling all-rounder in the list. Recovering from an injury, Nitish’s availability is subject to fitness.

Medium-pacers aplenty

Ten uncapped players make up the seam-bowling category for the first round of matches. While the frontline pacers are Prasidh Krishna, Avesh Khan , Mohammed Siraj and Khaleel Ahmed , the new faces largely fall into the medium-pace category, underlining a big concern about the next crop.

Among them, Karnataka seamer Vidwath Kaverappa stands out after an impressive start to his First-Class career, having already amassed 80 wickets from 20 matches. Kaverappa was part of the India A sides that played South Africa A and England Lions in early 2024, scalping four wickets from three outings.

Mumbai seamer Mohit Awasthi, who picked up 35 wickets during their run to the Ranji Trophy title earlier this year has been named in the India B side. While he missed out on the final, the medium-pacer recorded two seven-wicket hauls during the 2023-24 Ranji season.

Not all selections were based on recent First-Class form ahead of the Australia tour. While left-arm seamer Yash Dayal only registered 14 wickets in the previous Ranji Trophy season, Delhi seamer Harshit Rana has not featured in any red-ball fixture since the last Duleep Trophy. The same also applies to Assam’s Akash Sengupta, who has only gathered 12 wickets from 13 First-Class innings, averaging over 66 with the ball.

Delhi quick Himanshu Chauhan, who returned 30 wickets in his maiden Ranji Trophy season earlier this year, Karnataka’s Vyshak Vijaykumar and Vidarbha’s Aditya Thakare round up the other picks.

Spin all-rounders on the rise

With an eye on nurturing back-ups for India’s ageing spin duo of Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja , the selectors have roped in four spin-bowling all-rounders among the newer options. Mumbai’s Tanush Kotian, who recorded 29 wickets and 502 runs including a career-best 120 not out batting at no. 10 in the Ranji Trophy, has been named in the India A side.

Rajasthan ’s Manav Suthar has also entered the fray after consistent runs across two domestic seasons. The 23-year-old picked up 55 wickets in 11 Ranji matches across the last two seasons. Suthar also impressed in India A colours against the England Lions in Ahmedabad in January. The left-arm spinner bagged eight wickets in two innings and hit an unbeaten 89 during a 490-run chase in that game.

Off-spinners Saransh Jain and Hrithik Shokeen have also joined a long queue that includes the likes of R Sai Kishore, Saurabh Kumar, Washington Sundar and leggies Rahul Chahar and Mayank Markande.

Fresh guard with the bat

The selectors have opted for a change of approach on the batting front, calling up youngsters who have recorded more than 500 runs in the last Ranji season while pushing out bigger names.

Baroda’s Shashwat Rawat cracked four centuries in the Ranji Trophy last season, including one in the quarter-final against eventual champions Mumbai. The 23-year-old left-hander will join Jharkhand wicketkeeper Kumar Kushagra in an India A side comprising Shubman Gill and KL Rahul . Mumbai sensation Musheer Khan, who notched up a double hundred on his Ranji debut and smashed a century in the final against Vidarbha, also finds himself in the running.

Madhya Pradesh ’s Yash Dubey, Uttar Pradesh wicketkeeper Aryan Juyal, Atharve Taide (Vidarbha) and Bengal’s Abishek Porel are the other young batters to receive a nod.

SKY in the mix, heavyweights out

Despite a lacklustre start to his Test career, 33-year-old Suryakumar Yadav finds himself back on the selectors’ radar. However, his T20I teammate Rinku Singh failed to grab a spot despite averaging nearly 60 in his First-Class career with Uttar Pradesh. While Suryakumar holds on, a series of domestic heavyweights in Jaydev Unadkat, Hanuma Vihari, Cheteshwar Pujara, Shardul Thakur and Prithvi Shaw have been forced out from the reckoning ahead of India’s upcoming 10-Test window.

Kamala Harris plans DNC week rally in Milwaukee at site of Republican National Convention

Vice President Kamala Harris is planning to hold a rally at Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee on Tuesday, the second day of the Democratic National Convention in Chicago, according to sources with knowledge of the plans.

The stop would be Harris' third visit to Wisconsin since she became the Democratic nominee for president late last month. She held the first rally of her presidential campaign just outside Milwaukee and last week stopped in Eau Claire with her newly selected running mate, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz.

It was not immediately clear whether Walz planned to join Harris in Milwaukee on Tuesday. Two sources familiar with the planning cautioned that details for the visit were still in flux, including the time of the event. The New York Times first reported on the Tuesday plans.

Harris and Walz drew big crowds during their tour of battleground states last week. More than 12,000 people showed up to the Eau Claire rally Wednesday.

A spokesperson for the Harris campaign declined to comment on the vice president's travel plans.

Last month, Republicans gathered in Fiserv Forum for a week as they formally nominated former President Donald Trump at the Republican National Convention . Trump's running mate, Ohio Sen. JD Vance, plans to deliver remarks at the Milwaukee Police Association this Friday.

In the midseason finale, Sofia packed her bags and Camille stared longingly at Gabriel and Emily’s newfound love, absolutely radiating with jealousy. By episode’s end, Camille finds out that she’s not pregnant—and never had been—but opts not to tell Gabriel right away so as not to burst the illusion of a family with him.

Alfie likely won’t make an appearance again this season—four is a crowd, after all—and Mindy is dealing with the heartbreak of Nicholas trying to sweep his father’s behavior under the rug. But Mindy still has Eurovision to prepare for and a whole closet of outfits to sell to pay for it. Similarly, Sylvie’s world is also slightly little less settled: There’s likely to be some fallout in the aftermath of her speaking out about her former boss’s sexual assault allegations, and Luc seems to be hellbent on getting a raise, despite going about it in the wrong way.

Creator Darren Star also promised that Emily would be jet-setting in season 4, which we didn’t see much of in the first batch of episodes. “Emily finds herself with a busy travel schedule,” Star told Tudum . “From the French Alps to the piazzas of Rome, viewers will vicariously experience amazing new locations through Emily’s eyes. Expect new characters, a lot more drama, romance, and a whole new language to try and master.” Lily Collins added, “While Emily’s heart will always remain true to Paris, her life takes some unexpected twists this season. Don’t be surprised to find her on a Roman holiday.”

If nothing else, it seems like the back half of the season will be jam packed, and we’re ready for an expanded European adventure…and maybe an Italian lover to add to Emily’s collection?

Will season 4 be the last season of Emily in Paris ?

Seasons 3 and 4 were renewed at the same time, and the double renewal made some question whether the series was setting up its end game. “I definitely think the show has a life beyond next season. It’s not necessarily conceived as a final chapter. I think like every other show, it’s a rich ensemble. There’s no end in sight until everybody feels like it’s time to end,” Star told Deadline after season 3 dropped. “And I don’t think this show is limited by a number of seasons, I think it’s limited by everybody’s enthusiasm and excitement about doing it and telling stories about these characters.”

There was some speculation that there would be another renewal when a guest role in Emily in Paris season 5 was auctioned at the Amfar Gala in Cannes in May, but the program later clarified that the prize is contingent upon whether a fifth season is greenlit. In the meantime, we’re still waiting on Netflix to make a formal announcement.

Simferopol is the capital and the largest city of Crimea. It is the business, administrative and cultural center of the peninsula. It has about 360,000 inhabitants.

Brief history

Simferopol was the capital of the Scythian State, known as Scythian Naples, during the 3 rd century BC. During the 1 st century the Tartats built their settlements at Ak-Mosque and became the residence of Kalga Sultan, the governor of the Crimean Khanate. The name Simferopol has been used since 1784 when the city was annexed from the Crimean Khanate to the Russian empire  led by Catherine II. Simferopol is a Greek word meaning “city gatherer” or “good city”. Since October 1921 Simferopol has had the status of Capital of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, first as part of the Soviet Union, then from 1991 to the first quarter of 2014 as part of Ukraine. After the Annexation of the peninsula by the Russian Republic, Simferopol remained the capital of Crimea.

Administrative, economic and cultural center

The capital is divided into three districts: Railway or Zaliznychnyi in the north and northeast, Tsentralnyi or Central located in the center and west, and Kyivskyi or Kiev in the south and southeast of the capital.

The parliament of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the Council of Ministers, known as the Verkhovna Rada, are located in Simferopol. The city is also the administrative center of the Simferopol Region.

Its major industries are car manufacturing and agriculture. Volga, a major Russian car manufactures has a plant in the capital producing Volga Cars and Gazelle minibuses. Agriculture is a major employer in the region producing wine, juice, canned and fresh fruits, vegetables, grains and other Mediterranean climate produce.

Transportation

Simferopol is known as the “Gate of Crimea” because it is where all the roads, leading to each corner of the peninsula, meet.

The Simferopol International Airport is located in the outskirts of the capital. It is the largest in the peninsula and receives flights from all over the world. It was constructed in 1936.

The main railway station serves its inhabitants as well as the millions of tourists the city receives every year. During the summer Simferopol’s population more than doubles. The bus service connects the capital to every corner of the peninsula. The trolleybus is the longest trolleybus line in Europe. It connects Simferopol with Alushta in one hour and Yalta in two and a half.
