If you have an iPhone, AirPods, and an Apple Watch, congrats! You have the holy trinity of Apple products. But keeping all these gadgets powered up can be annoying, since they all have individual cables and proprietary charging solutions. Why deal with all that hassle when a single 3-in-1 wireless charger can accommodate everything? Our Best Wireless Chargers guide has a few recommendations, but many more great docking systems exist for Apple devices. After years of testing, these are our favorites.

Be sure to read our other Apple guides , including Best MagSafe Wireless Chargers , Best MagSafe Accessories , Best iPhone 15 Cases , Best iPhone , Best Apple Watch , and Best AirPods .

A Quick Primer on MagSafe

Most of the wireless chargers in this guide are MagSafe wireless chargers . That means they take advantage of the magnets embedded in the back of the iPhone 12 , iPhone 13 , iPhone 14 , and iPhone 15 range . I cannot stress this enough: If you buy a case, ensure it is a MagSafe case . We have several third-party options in the linked case guides above. A normal iPhone case will weaken the pull of the magnets in the device and will not stick to MagSafe accessories well.

What's the point of MagSafe? You don't have to worry about misalignment with the wireless charger, meaning you won't wake up to a dead iPhone. Technically, this perfect alignment means chargers can provide faster 15-watt charging, but Apple has restricted this perk to select products from a few brands. MagSafe is available in the AirPods charging case as well (depending on your model ). Apple's AirPods and AirPods Pro with the wireless charging case will work with nearly all of the standard Qi wireless charging pads on these chargers (as will many third-party wireless earbuds ), but if you have AirPods with MagSafe, then you can hook it up to the magnetic mounts as well. If you don't have a MagSafe iPhone, then your device won't be able to attach to these chargers, though we do have some recommendations for older iPhones (and the iPhone SE ).

Best Overall

Like its predecessor, this classy chrome charging tree suspends two of your Apple gadgets in midair, with a spot for the AirPods case on the broad circular base. It can recharge your iPhone at the fastest 15-watt charging speed Apple allows, and it can also fast-charge the Apple Watch Series 7 or newer (not the SE). Drop the AirPods Pro (or AirPods with wireless charging case) onto the base, and you'll be topping up all these devices from a single outlet. Aside from the latest Qi2 certification , the base is now more rounded, and the iPhone charging pad tilts to your preferred angle. Everything sits securely in place, and you can even flip your iPhone into landscape orientation to watch a video while it charges or to trigger StandBy mode . The braided USB-C cable is permanently attached.

15-watt charging, 5-foot braided cable, 36-watt wall charger included, two-year warranty.

Best for Apple's StandBy Mode

Apple added a feature in iOS 17 called Standby , which turns the iPhone into a clock on your nightstand with weather information when you put it in landscape orientation on a wireless charger. (The screen dims if you have an iPhone with an always-on display; if not, you can tap the screen to see the time.) Twelve South's 3-in-1 is an elegant wireless charger for the nightstand and gives the iPhone plenty of breathing room to rotate it to landscape mode and take advantage of StandBy. It's Made for iPhone (MFi) certified, so it'll recharge your handset at the fastest 15-watt speed possible. I also like that the iPhone charger can swivel up and down, so you can better position the angle of your phone screen.

On the base is a fast charger for the Apple Watch that you can flip up or charge flat, and the back has a spot for the AirPods or another wireless earbuds case. It's nice and weighty and doesn't slide around easily. It comes with a proprietary and removable charging cable that runs into the base, along with a charging brick, and Twelve South includes international plug adapters for the US, UK, EU, and AU if you want to take it on your travels.

15-watt charging, 5-foot cable, 36-watt wall charger with travel adapters included, two-year warranty.

Best Compact 3-in-1 Stand

Folks seeking something a little more compact for the nightstand will appreciate this solid aluminum 3-in-1 charging station from Otterbox. It can charge all your Apple gadgets at top speed and comes with a 6.6-foot cable and a 36-watt wall charger. The MagSafe pad holds your iPhone securely, and there is a pad on the weighted base for AirPods. The integrated Apple Watch charger allows for Nightstand mode, but it is the weak link here, and I sometimes find that my Series 8 twists slightly. It doesn’t shift enough to prevent charging, but it could be a problem, especially if you have an Ultra or favor a heavy band for your Apple Watch. If you fancy this, make sure you get the correct version, because Otterbox also offers a cheaper 3-in-1 with a slot for Apple Watch charging around the back, which we don’t recommend.

15-watt charging, 6.6-foot cable, 36-watt wall charger included, two-year warranty.

Best 3-in-1 Pad

It's pricey, but this 3-in-1 charging pad from Nomad feels like you have to place it near a Steinway grand piano. If you want your iPhone out of sight and out of mind when you place it on a charger, a pad is the way to go—the MagSafe charger officially supports 15 watts to recharge your iPhone at the fastest speeds possible. The Apple Watch charging puck sticks up, so you can take advantage of Nightstand mode and see the time. However, this is not a fast charger, so your smartwatch won't juice up as quickly. I tried it with a loop band and a normal strap, and I could fit the AirPods Pro in the spot behind the Apple Watch puck to recharge it just fine.

The metal chassis is heavy, and paired with the anti-slip rubber base, this thing stays put. It comes with a 2-meter USB-C to USB-C cable, which is great if you want to plug it into your new iPhone 15 to juice it up faster, but I wish it came with a 30-watt charging adapter. Nomad sells this one that we've tested and like. I do want to point out that since this is a pad, you can still charge non-MagSafe devices wirelessly on it, making it a nice option if you're on an older iPhone.

Nomad does have an equally classy stand version—the Stand One Max ($180) —that we have tested and like. It's just really pricey.

15-watt charging, 6.6-foot cable, wall charger not included, two-year warranty.

Black stand with circular pad to wireless charge a phone

Best Cheap 3-in-1 Wireless Charger

By far the cheapest Qi2-certified 3-in-1 charger I've come across, I was surprised by how much I liked this ESR charger. The magnetic iPhone pad is secure and charges at 15 watts, the design is compact, and it comes with a charging brick and cable. The Apple Watch charger is a separate unit that slots into the back. That means you can take it with you (it simply needs a USB-A port to plug into), though I instantly lost the cap. This charger also works for StandBy mode or watching video in landscape orientation.

15-watt charging, 5-foot braided cable, 33-watt wall charger included, one-year warranty.

Anker MagGo Qi2 Travel 3in1 charger

Best for Travel

Space is often limited when you travel, so the fact that Anker's MagGo 3-in-1 folds down to a very compact form is handy. Despite the small size, it packs plenty of power, charging your iPhone or Qi2-certified phone at up to 15 watts on a magnetic pad that can adjust to your preferred angle. A second pad behind the main pad charges AirPods or other wireless earbuds, and there is a fold-out Apple Watch charger.

15-watt charging, 5-foot cable, 40-watt wall charger included, two-year warranty.

Anker 737 MagGo Charger

Another Nice 3-in-1

After a few weeks on the nightstand, I’m in no rush to replace Anker’s 737. This MagSafe 3-in-1 is sturdy and holds my iPhone 14 Pro securely. The option to charge in landscape makes it a nice way to take advantage of StandBy mode to turn your iPhone into a bedside clock. However, the iPhone does block easy access to the Apple Watch from the front in this orientation. It can fast-charge at 15 watts and comes with a power adapter and cable.

The slight magnetic pull on the AirPods pad, on the inside of the triangle, helps get it in the right spot to recharge. However, it can be hard to grab the AirPods out of there, especially if you have an AirPods protective case installed . I just shove a finger from the other direction and push it out. The only slight disappointment is that the Apple Watch charger doesn’t support fast charging, so this is not a good pick for Apple Watch Ultra owners. It also lies flat, so it doesn’t play nice with Nightstand mode, though that’s not such a big deal when you can use StandBy on your iPhone.

15-watt charging, 5-foot cable, 30-watt wall charger included, two-year warranty.

Black stand with circular pad up top sitting on wooden nightstand

Another Compact 3-in-1 (That Folds!)

A classy mix of vegan leather and aluminum elevates this folding 3-in-1 charger. It is Qi2 certified, so it can deliver 15 watts to your iPhone, and there’s a fold-out Apple Watch charger on the back to fast-charge Apple Watch 7 and above. It feels sturdy and secure, allows you to fix your preferred angle, and supports StandBy mode. It's relatively compact and looks good enough to be your permanent bedside charger. Not only does the whole thing fold flat, but it also comes with UK and EU adapters for the included power brick for your travels.

15-watt charging, 3.6-foot cable, 45-watt wall charger with travel adapters included, one-year warranty.

Slender stand with square base circular pad on top to hold a phone and small extension on the side to hang a wristwatch

A Height-Adjustable 3-in-1 Wireless Charger

Maybe you charge your iPhone at a standing desk. Or perhaps you want a more versatile charger. Enter Mophie's extendable wireless charging stand. The 15-watt iPhone charger sits atop a telescoping pole that can extend from 7.5 to 16 inches, and that means it doubles as a tripod of sorts—handy if you want to film a quick video or more comfortably take video calls. There's some flex in the charging pad too, so you can tilt it slightly up or down. You have to twist the pole slightly and then pull on it to extend, and while it's not the smoothest experience, it does the job and stays put.

Attached to the bottom section of the pole is the Apple Watch charger, which supports fast charging. You can pop a pair of wireless earbuds, AirPods or otherwise, on the charging cradle on the metal base. Mophie includes a proprietary charger but it's removable.

15-watt charging, 5-foot cable, 36-watt wall charger included, two-year warranty.

Belkin BoostCharge Pro 2in1 charger

Best 2-in-1 Stand (AirPods)

Don't have an Apple Watch? No problem. This elegant 2-in-1 stand can recharge your iPhone and AirPods (or other wireless earbuds with wireless charging support). It comes in black or white with a metal post that connects the weighted base to the MagSafe charger. It can fast-charge your iPhone and hold it in portrait or landscape orientation (great for StandBy ). It is easy to grab my iPhone 14 Pro off this stand one-handed without tipping it over. There’s a circular indent at the front for charging your AirPods. The included power adapter plugs into the base via a barrel port.

15-watt charging, 5-foot cable, wall charger included, two-year warranty.

Small rounded stand to hold a phone and wristwatch

Best 2-in-1 Stand (Apple Watch)

With a weighty base, soft-touch finish, and an adjustable MagSafe charging pad, this Belkin 2-in-1 is ideal for folks with an iPhone and Apple Watch. The Apple Watch pad extends off the back, tucking your watch out of sight and allowing room for the strap to droop. The pad on top can move through 70 degrees, and this stand works well with StandBy mode. You can also charge AirPods on the pad if you need to, just not at the same time as your iPhone. The braided USB-C cable is permanently attached.

15-watt charging, 5-foot braided cable, 30-watt wall charger included, two-year warranty.

Zens 4in1 charger for Apple devices

A 4-in-1 Stand

If you own an iPhone, Apple Watch, and AirPods, there is a decent chance you might have an iPad too, so why not a 4-in-1 charging station? Zens offers a modular design, with a main stand for your iPad, a MagSafe pad in front to float your iPhone, and a slight indentation to charge AirPods below. The Apple Watch charger is a separate section that attaches magnetically (on either side) and holds your Watch in horizontal Nightstand mode, which looks slightly better than vertical. It feels durable with a grippy, rubbery, flecked black finish made from recycled plastic.

You get a 65-watt power adapter, power cable, and adapter plugs for the US, UK, and EU, which is quite handy. The main drawback with this is the large size, and you have to connect a cable to the USB-C port on the side to charge your iPad.

15-watt charging, 5-foot cable, 65-watt wall charger with travel adapters included, two-year warranty.

Black and silver device angled upwards with a circular pad for wireless charging

A Budget Travel Alternative

It's not the best-looking charger, it lacks official certification, and you need to supply the wall adapter (25 watts at least for best results), but this Raycon 3-in-1 is cheap. It’s pretty sturdy, with a metal body and a smooth hinge. You can charge your iPhone in portrait or landscape, and StandBy mode works. The fold-up Apple Watch charger on the back is plastic and feels kind of cheap, and you need to be precise with your AirPods placement, but it works well. I tested with an iPhone 14 Pro, iPhone 12, AirPods Pro, and Apple Watch 7 and 9 without issues. You can also fold it flat and use it as a charging pad for any Qi phone.

15-watt charging, 3.3-foot cable, wall charger not included, one-year warranty.

Small unfolded purple pad with 3 sections to charge devices wirelessly

Best Folding Charger

Combining Nappa leather with aluminum and glass, this 3-in-1 charger folds neatly away and looks very stylish. The circular MagSafe iPhone charging pad goes up to 15 watts, and there’s a central pad for AirPods or a second phone. You can charge your Apple Watch flat or pop the charger up for Nightstand mode. You can also fold it into a wedge shape to charge your iPhone in StandBy mode with your Apple Watch on the back. You get a USB-C cable in the box, but you'll need your own wall charger.

Black device with 2 holders on either end sitting on a wooden nightstand

Pad or Stand

Part of Anker’s new Qi2-certified MagGo range, this versatile 3-in-1 wireless charging station has a 15-watt MagSafe pad, a 5-watt pad for AirPods in the middle, and a 5-watt Apple Watch charger. The iPhone pad can fold up and be angled, so you can have your iPhone lying flat or propped up in portrait or landscape orientation for StandBy mode. The Apple Watch puck can also pop up for Nightstand mode, or you can lay it flat. The cable and wall charger are included, but there’s no carry pouch. While you can fold it flat, there are more compact options for travel (see above). While top charging speeds are only for Qi2-certified phones or MagSafe iPhones, I had no trouble charging an iPhone X and a Pixel 8 with it folded flat, so it's a good pick if you have an older iPhone or Android phones in the household you also want to charge.

Wasserstein 3in1 Charging Station

A 3-in-1 for Fitbit Fans

What if you have an iPhone and AirPods, but prefer a Fitbit to the Apple Watch? This 3-in-1 from Wasserstein has you covered. There are Lightning or USB-C plugs to slot your AirPods and iPhone onto plus a built-in charger for your Fitbit on a small extended platform. The iPhone and Fitbit are both angled for easy glancing (though you are stuck with a portrait view for the iPhone). I worry slightly about wear and tear on the ports here—be careful when sliding your devices on or off—but the advantage is that you get wired charging speeds. Just make sure you get the correct version. For the iPhone 15, you’ll want the USB-C station .

Wired charging, cable and wall charger included, one-year warranty.

Honorable Mentions

We have tested several other multidevice wireless charging stations for Apple devices. Here are a few we liked:

  • Twelve South ButterFly 2-in-1 MagSafe Charger for $130 : This is an uber compact 2-in-1 charger that looks like a hockey puck. Open the Butterfly and you'll find two pads that are attached via a rubbery silicone material. You can fast-charge an Apple Watch on one—even pop the charger up to take advantage of Nightstand mode— and the other circle lets you recharge your MagSafe iPhone at 15 watts. It's a super compact solution, and Twelve South includes a 30-watt charger and cable with international plug adapters.
  • Anker MagGo Wireless Charging Station Stand for $100 : This good-looking 3-in-1 charging tree is more affordable than our top pick, boasts Qi2 certification for 15-watt charging, and comes with a charger and cable. It just misses out on a place above because of the offset pad for the Apple Watch. It is slippery, so your Apple Watch may tilt, though I never had an issue with it not charging. Anker included stickers to combat this, but they are a fiddly and inelegant solution. It’s also a shame that the main pad for your iPhone is fixed, so you can’t adjust the angle. But these are minor gripes.
  • Mophie 3-in-1 Travel Charger With MagSafe for $150 : This little travel kit comes with a felt carrying case, charging brick, and USB-C cable, and was our previous top travel pick. The square stack unfolds to reveal three wireless chargers in one elongated pad. The iPhone sticks magnetically to the center (15 watts), and the Apple Watch dock supports Nightstand mode (this 2023 model supports fast charging too). There's a grooved spot for the AirPods. It feels great, is compact, and is pretty lightweight all around.
  • ESR HaloLock 3-in-1 Travel Wireless Charging Set for $55 : This is a decent travel kit at a reasonable price. You can prop your iPhone in portrait or landscape orientation, display your Apple Watch in Nightstand mode (if you turn it backward), and there is a pad for AirPods. It folds with the included cable and wall charger in a faux leather pouch. Sadly, it only charges iPhones at 7.5 watts.
  • Anker 3-in-1 Cube with MagSafe for $130 : This dinky, dense, 2.5-inch cube from Anker was our previous compact pick. It has a MagSafe pad on top (15 watts), and the top section hinges to a 60-degree angle, revealing a charging surface for your AirPods. The wee pop-out shelf on the side has a built-in Apple Watch fast charger. You get a 5-foot cable and a 30-watt charger in the box.
  • Satechi 3-in-1 Magnetic Wireless Charging Stand for $120 : This 3-in-1 requires you to supply a 20-watt power adapter ( this is a good one if you don't have one already), and it won't recharge your iPhone or Apple Watch at the fastest speeds possible. That's still fine if you usually only juice up your gadgets overnight. It's a little smaller than the Belkin, so it won't take too much room, and the aluminum build looks attractive (the iPhone mount is made of stainless steel). You can pop off the Apple Watch charger and take it on the go—just plug the USB-C end into any charger, power bank , or even laptop with the port to recharge your smartwatch.
  • Case-Mate Fuel 3-in-1 Foldable for $110 : Finished in a classy gray material, this 3-in-1 charges an iPhone in a case or any Qi smartphone, and it's easy to fold flat and pack in a bag. It also has a built-in Apple Watch charger and a spot for AirPods. A cable and 45-watt charger are included. I also tested the solid Case-Mate Fuel 4-in-1 ($105) , which is quite good, but the unnecessary LEDs and Fuel logo put me off.
  • iOttie Velox Duo for $46 : This was our 2-in-1 pick for a while. The black and gold combo looks great, the magnet is strong, and there’s a weighted base. On the downside, it only charges iPhones at up to 7.5 watts. The permanently attached USB-C cable is a good length, but you do have to provide a wall adapter.
  • Twelve South HiRise 3 Wireless Charging Stand for $100 : Our previous compact pick, this 3-in-1 is a space saver. There's an angled MagSafe perch for your iPhone, a shelf up top for your Apple Watch, and a spot for your AirPods underneath. It's a compact design that makes it easy to glance at your iPhone, though this means you can't utilize the Nightstand mode of your Apple Watch. It comes with a 5-foot USB-C cable, but you do need to provide your own power adapter ( 20 watts or above ).
  • RapidX Boosta 5-in-1 Charging Stand for $50 : This is a lot like Anker’s MagGo 633. It’s a charging stand designed to charge a MagSafe Boosta battery pack (sold separately), which you can stick a MagSafe iPhone onto. You can also charge AirPods on the base, and there’s a spare USB-C port for something else, but I don’t understand why they call it 5-in-1.
  • RapidX Modula 5 Modular Wireless Charging System for $30 : This modular system was a great space saver on my last vacation. The pads slot together magnetically and offer up to 10-watt charging for phones (I also used one to charge my AirPods with the wireless charging case), and there’s a special pad for the Apple Watch with a puck that can lie flat or pop up to accommodate Nightstand mode.
  • ESR HaloLock 3-in-1 Wireless Charger with CryoBoost for $60 : Silly name aside, this is attractively priced and includes a power adapter and cable. You can turn off the light and fan when you’re trying to sleep. But it only charges iPhones at 7.5 watts, and the Apple Watch charger isn’t included. We also tested the top-of-the-line ESR 6-in-1 Charging Station ($150) with built-in charging spots for your iPhone, AirPods, and Apple Watch, and a further two USB-C ports and one USB-A to charge additional devices at up to 100 watts. Both are a bit chunky and ugly. The 2-in-1 version minus the Apple Watch slot is $10 cheaper and looks better.
  • Mophie Snap+ 3-in-1 Wireless Charging Stand for $90 : Another 3-in-1 that does the job, Mophie’s Snap+ has an adjustable stand for your iPhone, a space for AirPods, and a plastic ring to insert your own Apple Watch or Galaxy Smartwatch charger into. It works, but it feels and looks a bit cheap, especially when there’s nothing on it.

STM Goods ChargeTree Go charging station

Avoid These

Not every charger will be a winner. Here are the ones we didn't like.

  • Alogic Matrix Ultimate for $170 : This 3-in-1 charger has a folding design, supports fast charging, includes a detachable 5,000-mAh power bank, and comes with a nice pouch, but it is kinda bulky, and the white finish picks up dust and smudges very easily. I have also had issues with other Alogic batteries failing and not supplying the stated capacity.
  • OneAdaptr OneGo for $79 : This is another folding 3-in-1 with a detachable MagSafe battery pack (10,000 mAh), a spot for AirPods, and a fold-out Apple Watch charger, but it’s quite bulky, charging is slow, and there’s no official certification.
  • STM Goods ChargeTree Go for $120 : This charging tree station folds flat and can charge a trio of Apple gadgets. But there’s no quick-charge support, my Apple Watch kept sliding out of place during the night, and there’s no adapter included. It’s not cheap either.

What Are Nightstand and StandBy Modes?

You'll see us bring up two specific modes throughout this guide: StandBy mode and Nightstand mode . What are they?

StandBy mode was introduced in iOS 17 . When you place your iPhone on a charger in landscape orientation, it will turn the screen into a dock of sorts, showing the clock (with different designs you can choose from), photos from your library, or widgets. If you have an iPhone that supports an always-on screen, you can choose to have the display automatically turn off after some time when the iPhone isn't in use or if the room is dark. Head to Settings > Standby to customize it.

Nightstand mode has long been around on the Apple Watch. Basically, when the watch is sitting upright and charging, the clockface will stay on so you can always tell the time. You can customize this on your Apple Watch by heading to Settings > General > Nightstand mode .

The Best Apple Wireless Charging Stations for Multiple Devices

Sarah Witman

By Sarah Witman

Sarah Witman is a writer focused on batteries and charging accessories. She has spent countless hours charging, discharging, and recharging batteries.

If you’re in the Apple ecosystem, there’s a good chance you’re all in: iPhone, Apple Watch, and AirPods. One way to keep each of these devices powered is to run three cords to three USB charging ports. But the tidiest and most convenient way is to use a wireless charging station.

Whether you like to charge your Apple gear on a bedside table at night or at a desk during the day, the Belkin MagSafe 3-in-1 Wireless Charging Stand 2nd Gen (WIZ017) is your best bet. It offers fast wireless charging speeds for up to three compatible devices, and it has a compact, convenient design.

Everything we recommend

travel apple charging station

Belkin MagSafe 3-in-1 Wireless Charging Stand 2nd Gen (WIZ017)

The best three-in-one charging dock for an iphone, apple watch, and airpods.

This wireless charging station can power as many as three devices, and it props up your phone and watch for easy viewing. It comes with its own wall charger, but it takes up more desk space than our other picks.

Buying Options

Budget pick.

travel apple charging station

Anker PowerWave Magnetic 2-in-1 Stand (A2561)

A smaller charging station (for less).

This wireless charging station is sleek, sturdy, and angle-adjustable. It can juice up your iPhone and AirPods at the same time, but not an Apple Watch, and it charges a bit more slowly than many models we tested.

travel apple charging station

Journey Alti Slim Wireless Charging Desk Mat

Doubles as a desk mat or blotter.

This wireless charging station has a flat design, with two MagSafe charging pads for an iPhone and AirPods, plus a detachable blotter made of felt and vegan leather. It’s sturdy, stylish, and versatile, but it lacks a phone stand.

travel apple charging station

Journey Swiv 3-in-1 Foldable Wireless Charging Station

For frequent travelers.

This wireless charging station is light and small enough to carry in a pocket. It has a refined look and feel, a handy flip-up watch stand, and charging pads for up to three devices. It’s too cramped for everyday use, but it’s convenient to use when you’re traveling.

How we picked

We favored models capable of providing up to 15 W output, allowing you to charge your Qi-compatible devices as fast as possible.

We focused on models with good build quality and useful features, such as MagSafe compatibility or an adjustable phone stand.

We preferred models powered via USB-C, since they can be easily paired with any fast-charging USB-C cable and wall charger you may already own.

We preferred Qi chargers that have been tested and certified for safety and standards compliance by the Wireless Power Consortium .

The Belkin MagSafe 3-in-1 Wireless Charging Stand 2nd Gen (WIZ017) is the best everyday wireless charging station for an iPhone, an Apple Watch, and a set of AirPods. It has three charging pads: a MagSafe pad for your phone, a MagSafe pad for your watch, and a Qi pad for your earbuds (rated for 15 W, 5 W, and 5 W charging speeds, respectively).

In our testing, the Belkin’s main pad charged our iPhone 15 at up to 10.6 W, which is faster than most models we tested performed. It’s sturdily built and sleek-looking, and it comes in black or white. Plus, it’s been independently certified for safety and compliance by the Wireless Power Consortium (WPC) . It’s from a company we trust, with fast and reliable customer support, and is backed by a two-year warranty.

It comes with a wall charger that’s relatively compact, and it has a 5-foot cord (however, because it uses a DC plug, it’s more difficult to replace than a USB-C charger would be if you were to break or misplace it). Although it’s on the pricier end, it still costs less than some models that lack one or more of its key features.

This charging station has a large footprint, the stand is not height- or angle-adjustable, and the AirPods charging pad doesn’t keep the device in place as firmly as some other models we tested. Yet those are all pretty minor drawbacks.

The Anker PowerWave Magnetic 2-in-1 Stand (A2561) has two wireless charging pads: a MagSafe pad for an iPhone and a Qi pad for a set of AirPods (rated for 7.5 W and 5 W charging speeds, respectively). It has an angle-adjustable phone stand, is powered via USB-C, and comes with a 4-foot USB-C cable. It is sturdily built, relatively small and compact, and has a sleek look.

This charging station is backed by Anker’s 18-month warranty, and it comes from a company we trust, with fast and reliable customer support. Plus, at this writing, it costs just $40, which is less than the price of many models we tested.

On the downside, it offers slightly slower charging speeds than our other picks (we measured up to just 6.4 W, which is sluggish but still fine for wireless charging). Also, it lacks WPC certification and comes only in white.

The Journey Alti Slim Wireless Charging Desk Mat has two wireless charging pads: a MagSafe pad for an iPhone and a Qi pad for a set of AirPods (rated for 15 W and 5 W charging speeds, respectively, though we measured only up to 7.7 W from the phone pad). It has a USB-C input port and comes with a 5-foot USB-C charging cable. It feels well constructed, and with its sophisticated look, it blends in seamlessly with many desk setups (it comes in black or gray).

The mat is composed of two layers of fabric, and the top layer can be flipped back to reveal sticky notes or a desk calendar. The flat charging module is unobtrusive, leaves plenty of room for two devices, and is encased in vegan leather. Built-in magnets let you attach it to either side of the fabric blotter.

Although Journey (owned by Australian tech company Alogic) is a relatively new brand in the US, in our experience it has fast and reliable customer support. Plus, this model comes with a one-year warranty.

On the downside, the Alti Slim isn’t WPC-certified, and it’s on the pricier side (costing $130 at this writing). Also, it lacks a built-in phone stand, so it’s more awkward to use it for video streaming or calls.

The Journey Swiv 3-in-1 Foldable Wireless Charging Station is our only pick with three MagSafe-compatible wireless charging pads, so your iPhone, AirPods, and Apple Watch can stay firmly in place while they’re charging. The pads are rated for 15 W, 10 W, and 7.5 W charging speeds, respectively, though we measured only up to 7.3 W from the 15 W phone pad. It has a USB-C input port, and it comes with a 5-foot USB-C charging cable.

The Swiv has a sophisticated look and a super-compact design, weighing just 5.4 ounces (about as light as an iPhone SE). The main charging pad is built into a flap of vegan leather, so you can fold it up neatly for storage.

It doesn’t have a phone stand, but the Apple Watch charging pad can be flipped upright, so you can use it as a makeshift bedside or desk clock. Like the other Journey models we tested, this one is backed by great customer support and a one-year warranty, but it’s relatively pricey ($120 at this writing) and lacks WPC certification.

The research

Why you should trust us, who this is for, how we picked and tested, our pick: belkin magsafe 3-in-1 wireless charging stand 2nd gen (wiz017), budget pick: anker powerwave 2-in-1 magnetic stand (a2561), also great: journey alti slim wireless charging desk mat, also great: journey swiv 3-in-1 foldable wireless charging station, other good apple wireless charging stations, the competition.

I’ve been a science writer for over a decade, and I’ve covered a wide variety of topics, from particle physics to satellite remote sensing. Since joining Wirecutter in 2017, I’ve reported on electric vehicle chargers , rechargeable AA and AAA batteries , surge protectors , and more.

This guide builds upon the reporting of Wirecutter’s Nick Guy, who has reviewed mobile accessories since 2011.

These charging stations are designed for people who own multiple Apple devices (more specifically, an iPhone, an Apple Watch, and/or AirPods) and want to wirelessly charge all of them at once. Like single-device wireless chargers , they conveniently eliminate the need for charging cables. However, they pass power less efficiently (and thus charge your devices a bit more slowly) than their wired counterparts.

Most smartphones, and many mobile accessories, support Qi (pronounced “chee”) wireless charging. This feature allows you to simply set down your device in the right spot to juice up, as opposed to having to physically plug in a cable every time your battery is running low.

The best wireless chargers also have MagSafe and/or Qi 2.0 (Qi2) capabilities, using internal magnets to firmly hold your Qi-compatible device in place and more precisely align it with the charging pad. MagSafe and Qi2 also allow you to get up to the maximum 15 W wireless charging speeds, whereas standard Qi charging goes up to only 7.5 W.

If you have an iPhone 12 or newer, or you have a set of AirPods or AirPods Pro from 2021 or later, you can take full advantage of MagSafe and Qi2 capabilities. Otherwise, you can add magnetization to many Qi-compatible devices with a magnetic phone case or ring-shaped adapter —though, due to the added resistance, these typically can’t achieve top wireless charging speeds.

To get the fastest possible charge, you still need to use a cable—more specifically, a USB-C cable paired with a USB-C Power Delivery (PD) wall charger . So, depending on the devices you have and what you use them for, you’ll have to decide whether sacrificing some power for the added convenience of wireless charging is a worthwhile trade-off.

We scoured the sites of major retailers, attended trade shows, and read online user and editorial reviews to find the most beloved and widely available brands. We then narrowed our testing pool based on the following criteria:

  • Charging speed: We strongly favored multi-device charging stations capable of providing the fastest possible charge to your key devices. The latest Qi standard supports up to 15 W output, but we still considered models with lower power ratings since they’re often cheaper. If you typically charge your devices overnight or at your desk during the day, you might not mind (or even notice) the slightly slower charging speeds. Plus, while most iPhones support up to 15 W wireless charging , many other Qi-compatible devices are unable to reach those speeds, even in ideal conditions.
  • Design: Since these charging stations will likely occupy a prominent place in your home, we placed a high value on their appearance. This includes the quality of materials used, the layout of the charging pads, and useful extra features, such as a phone stand or charge-status lights.
  • Power source: For multi-device wireless chargers, we preferred models with USB-C input because they can be easily paired with any sufficiently powerful USB-C wall charger (and some even come bundled with such a charger). We also considered models that come with their own proprietary wall charger, though cords with unique plugs are more difficult and expensive to replace.
  • WPC certification: We gave preference to chargers that have been certified by the Wireless Power Consortium (WPC) , an industry group that includes hundreds of device manufacturers, accessory makers, and more. For a charger to be certified by the WPC, it must be submitted to an authorized test lab and found to be both safe and in compliance with the Qi standard. If a wireless charger isn’t certified, that doesn’t necessarily mean the charger is unsafe or noncompliant, but models that have been verified offer more peace of mind.
  • Brand reputation: We considered models only from companies with a good reputation for warranty coverage and customer support. Even the best electronic devices can fail, and you should be able to get help if you need it.
  • Price: The most expensive multi-device charger we selected for testing was $200, but many sell for $100 or less and provide similar performance. We tested pricier options only if they could add an extra feature or capability that you don’t typically get with cheaper models.

We tested the performance of each charging station by putting a fully drained phone (we used an iPhone 15) into airplane mode and then placing it on the main charging pad. If a charger came with its own wall adapter, we used it. If a charger came with only a USB cable, we plugged it into a 20 W USB-C wall adapter.

We measured the phone’s battery level after 30 minutes and then again after an hour. Any reputable Qi charger will fully charge a phone in a few hours (and certainly overnight), so we focused on differences in short-term charging. We also measured each charger’s power output using the Charger Master iOS app to verify these results.

For the secondary and tertiary charging pads—made for passing power to a set of AirPods and an Apple Watch, respectively—we placed the corresponding devices on them, observing how long it took for them to begin charging and how firmly they stayed in place on the pad. We checked back after an hour and again after two hours to ensure that they were still charging.

Finally, we spent weeks using the top contenders on a daily basis, assessing the overall user experience for charging wirelessly overnight and throughout the day. We considered each charger’s look, feel, ease of use, and build quality. We also assessed the efficacy of any extra features—like a built-in phone stand to watch movies, make video calls, or use StandBy mode—and included accessories, such as a wall charger or international plug adapters.

The Belkin MagSafe 3-in-1 Wireless Charging Stand 2nd Gen (WIZ017) is the best wireless charging station for ensuring your iPhone, AirPods, and Apple Watch are charged and ready to go when you need them. It’s on the larger side yet still has a sleek and practical design, and it comes from a company we trust. Also, it’s relatively inexpensive, considering its wide array of features.

The Belkin MagSafe 3-in-1 Wireless Charging Stand 2nd Gen (WIZ017 charging a phone, watch AirPods at the same time.

It quickly charges up to three devices at once. This charging station has a MagSafe pad for an iPhone, a MagSafe pad for an Apple Watch, and a Qi pad for a set of AirPods or other Qi-compatible wireless earbuds (rated for 15 W, 5 W, and 5 W charging speeds, respectively). In our testing, we observed a maximum of 10.6 W charging speeds on our iPhone; this falls short of the optimal 15 W, but it’s still faster than most chargers we’ve tested.

It excels in both form and function. As far as multi-device charging stations go, this one is rather svelte, with an elegant, sculptural design. It comes in either black or white.

A heavy, rubberized base keeps this charging station from skidding across your desk or bedside table when it gets bumped or jostled. A shallow divot in the base, designed to hold an AirPods case, blends seamlessly into the design—and it has a small LED that illuminates to let you know your earbuds are charging.

A thin metal stand branches out to hold the phone and watch charging pads, keeping them comfortably spaced, so you can adjust or remove one device without disturbing the other. The stand is tilted at a convenient angle for viewing both device screens, so you can keep an eye on your texts and other notifications as needed.

The phone can be oriented vertically, for video calls or scrolling the web, or horizontally, to stream a show or movie. And this helpfully allows you to use your iPhone’s StandyBy feature, so it can passively double as a clock, a calendar, or a photo frame while it’s charging.

The Belkin MagSafe 3-in-1 sitting next to its wall plug.

It’s easy to use. Our iPhone and Apple Watch magnetically snapped into place with ease on their respective charging pads, and the AirPods case stayed put too, thanks to the pad’s shallow divot. All three devices began charging within seconds of being set down, and that continued without interruption until they were fully charged.

It’s a safe purchase. This model is WPC-certified—unlike many models we tested, including our other picks. And it’s backed by a two-year warranty, giving you plenty of time to resolve any issues that might arise. Belkin is a well-known company that makes many of our charger picks, and we’ve found its customer support to be reliable and responsive.

It’s reasonably affordable. Nothing that costs over $100 can be considered cheap. But, at $130 as of this writing, this charging station still costs less than many other multi-device wireless chargers with similar or worse charging speeds, build quality, and/or overall functionality.

Flaws but not dealbreakers

  • Its wall charger isn’t our favorite. Since this model’s wall charger uses a barrel-style DC plug to connect to the charging station, it might be tougher to replace than a USB-C charger if you break or misplace it. But as far as DC chargers go, this one has a conveniently long 5-foot cord, and it’s relatively compact and unobtrusive. Plus, since it’s included with the charging station, you have everything you need straight out of the box.
  • It has a large footprint. Many other models we tested take up less space on a nightstand or desk. But the trade-off here is that this model keeps your devices adequately spaced for easy access, and it has a less-cluttered look. The wider, heavier base helps it remain securely on your tabletop, too.
  • It’s not adjustable, and it doesn’t fold or collapse. We generally prefer models that let you raise and tilt your phone, making it easier to scroll, video chat, or watch a movie while it’s charging. But we think the stationary height and angle of this one’s stand is still effective in most cases. And since it doesn’t break down for travel, if you want to bring it with you on trips, it’ll take up an awkward amount of space in your bag.
  • Not all of the charging pads are magnetic. Although the phone and watch charging pads are MagSafe-compatible, the AirPods charging pad is not. It also doesn’t have a grippy texture like on some other models we tested, so it doesn’t keep the device stuck in place as firmly as it could. Even so, our AirPods still managed to stay put throughout our testing.

The Anker PowerWave Magnetic 2-in-1 Magnetic Stand (A2561) is the best wireless charging station if you don’t have an Apple Watch—just an iPhone and AirPods (or other wirelessly charging earbuds). Although it has one less charging pad than our top pick, and it’s slightly less powerful, it has equally great looks, build quality, and ease of use. Plus, as of this writing, it’s less than half the cost.

The Anker PowerWave Magnetic 2-in-1 Magnetic Stand (A2561) charging a phone and AirPods.

It charges an iPhone and a set of AirPods at a steady pace. This model’s dual charging pads (one on the base and one on the stand) are rated for 7.5 W and 5 W, respectively. In our testing, we measured up to 6.4 W charging speeds; this is slower than with our top pick, but it’s still well within the range of others we tested. The secondary pad will also charge any other brand of Qi-compatible wireless earbuds , if you’re not an AirPods person.

It’s well designed. This charging station has a clean, streamlined look that won’t be out of place on a nightstand or desktop. It looks a lot like the Apple devices it’s meant to charge, with an exterior made of matte-textured aluminum and white plastic.

It takes up a bit less surface area than our top pick, yet it still has a relatively sturdy base. The phone stand isn’t height-adjustable, but it has a hinge that lets you tilt your screen up or down for a better viewing angle.

The main charging pad is MagSafe-equipped, so you can securely attach any compatible phone. The AirPods pad isn’t magnetized, but it has thin ridges that help keep your earbuds in place while they’re charging, and it has a small LED to let you know they’re properly aligned.

Anker PowerWave Magnetic 2-in-1 Magnetic Stand (A2561) next to its charging cable

It comes with a USB-C cable. Although it doesn’t come with its own wall charger, like our top pick does, this model comes with a 4-foot USB-C cable that can be paired with any sufficiently powerful USB wall charger .

It’s a safe buy. Unlike our pick, this model isn’t WPC-certified. But it performed well in our testing, and it’s made by a company we trust, with fast and reliable customer support. It’s also backed by an 18-month warranty.

If you like having a desk mat or blotter at your workstation, and you want to charge an iPhone and a set of AirPods while you work, the Journey Alti Slim Wireless Charging Desk Mat excels at both. It’s reasonably powerful, easy to use, well built, and versatile, and it looks great on a desk.

The Journey Alti Slim charging a phone and AirPods case.

It charges up to two devices at once. The Alti Slim has two wireless charging pads: a MagSafe pad for a phone and a Qi pad for a set of earbuds. The pads are rated for 15 W and 5 W charging speeds, respectively, though in our testing, we measured only up to 7.7 W from the 15 W pad.

It has an understated look and lots of handy features. This model has a USB-C input port, and it comes with a 5-foot USB-C charging cable (you supply your own wall charger ). It seems well constructed, and it has a sophisticated look that can blend in seamlessly with a variety of desk setups.

The cover of the Journey Alti Slim is pulled back to reveal grey fabric underneath.

The mat comes in black or gray, and it’s composed of two layers of fabric: one made of felt and one made of vegan leather. Magnets let you detach the fabric mat from the charging module, so you can choose which layer goes on top, as well as whether you want your devices sitting on the right or left side. The top layer can also be flipped back, so you can tuck your paper to-do list or desk calendar out of sight.

The flat charging module is compact, unobtrusive, and encased in vegan leather. Although it doesn’t allow you to prop up your phone while it’s charging, you can still do a bit of gentle scrolling. And there’s ample room between your two devices, so the desktop doesn’t feel cluttered.

It’s expensive, but it’s a good value for what it offers. This model costs as much as any of our other picks ($130 at this writing), and it lacks WPC certification. But it’s unique among the charging stations we tested, and in our experience Journey offers fast and reliable customer support. This model comes with a one-year warranty.

travel apple charging station

If you travel frequently and you’d like to charge your Apple gear wirelessly while you’re away from home, the Journey Swiv 3-in-1 Foldable Wireless Charging Station is the best way to do that. It has three MagSafe charging pads and an elegant look and feel, and it folds up small enough to fit in a pocket.

The Journey Swiv 3-in-1 Foldable Wireless Charging Station charging a phone, watch, and AirPods case.

It holds up to three devices firmly in place. This is the only one of our picks with three MagSafe-compatible wireless charging pads, so your iPhone, Apple Watch, and AirPods (2021 or later) won’t slide around and become disconnected while they’re charging. You can use it to charge other Qi-compatible devices, too, but they won’t be able to take advantage of the magnets.

It’s relatively powerful. This model’s charging pads are rated for up to 15 W, 10 W, and 7.5 W speeds. In our testing, we measured a maximum of 7.3 W from the 15 W pad; that’s slower than with some other chargers we tried, but it won’t make a difference if you’re charging overnight or on a long plane ride.

travel apple charging station

It’s small, light, and easily packable. This model has a super-compact design, weighing just 5.4 ounces (about as light as an iPhone SE). It has a sleek and sophisticated look, and since the main charging pad is built into a flap of vegan leather, you can neatly fold it up for storage.

It’s packed with handy features. It has a USB-C input port and comes with a 5-foot USB-C charging cable (you supply the wall charger ). It doesn’t have a phone stand, but the Apple Watch charging pad can be flipped upright, so you can use it as a makeshift clock—a rare capability among portable wireless chargers.

It’s on the pricier side but still offers good value. This model lacks WPC certification, and it costs almost as much as our full-size top pick ($120 at this writing). But, like the other Journey models we tested, this model is backed by solid customer support and a one-year warranty.

If our top pick is unavailable, or you want a similar model that’s smaller and comes with a USB-C wall charger: Get the OtterBox 3-in-1 Charging Station with MagSafe (15 W) . It has two MagSafe charging pads for your iPhone and Apple Watch (rated for 15 W and 5 W, respectively), as well as a Qi charging pad for your AirPods (rated for 5 W).

In our testing we measured up to 8.8 W charging speeds, which is less power than we saw with our top pick but still more than with most models we tested. It’s sleek, compact, and sturdily built.

A small divot in the base keeps an AirPods case fairly well aligned while charging, and a stand holds your phone and watch aloft while they’re charging. However, it’s not adjustable, and the devices are somewhat cramped (especially if you want your phone in a landscape orientation).

This model is on the pricier side ($130 at this writing), and it lacks our top pick’s WPC certification. But it’s backed by a lifetime warranty, and it comes with a 6.6-foot USB-C cable and wall charger.

If you like the sound of a charging station that doubles as a desk mat , but you want more colors to choose from: Get the Journey Alti Wireless Charging Desk Mat . While the Alti Slim we recommend comes in only black or gray, the Alti is also available in dark brown or navy blue.

As its name suggests, the Alti Slim is on the smaller side, so it works with most desk sizes. But if you have a bigger desk and want a bigger blotter, the Alti might be a better fit: Its fabric mat measures 14.6 by 26.8 inches (whereas the Slim’s is 11.8 by 28.7 inches), and its charging module measures 14.6 by 3.9 inches (the Slim’s is 11.8 by 3.9 inches).

If you want a wireless-charging desk mat , and it absolutely has to come with a USB-C wall charger: Get the Journey Alti Ultra Wireless Charging Reversible Desk Mat . Like the Alti, it’s a few inches bigger than the Alti Slim on all sizes, measuring 14.6 by 28.7 inches (fabric mat) and 14.6 by 3.9 inches (charging module).

It comes only in black, and it’s on the pricier side ($170 at this writing). But it comes with a 5-foot USB-C cable, a 30 W USB-C wall charger, and international plug adapters.

If our travel pick is unavailable, or you want something even more compact and don’t mind giving up one charging pad: Get the Zens 2-in-1 MagSafe + Watch Travel Charger . Both of its charging pads are MagSafe-compatible, keeping your Apple Watch and a second device (such as an iPhone or AirPods case) held firmly in place while charging. The pads are rated for 5 W and 15 W, respectively, but we measured 7.5 W at most in our testing.

This charger is unbelievably small—about the size and shape of an Oreo cookie. So it’s highly portable, though a bit cramped when both devices are charging at once. Encased in white plastic, it’s relatively sleek-looking and sturdily built.

It costs $100 at this writing, and it comes with a 3-foot USB-C cable (no wall charger, so you’ll have to supply your own), as well as a convenient hardshell case. It’s also backed by an unusually long three-year warranty.

This is not a comprehensive list of models we’ve tested. We have removed discontinued models and those that no longer meet our criteria.

Two wireless charging pads

The Apple MagSafe Duo Charger is a former pick, but our also-great pick for travel charges more devices, weighs less, and folds up smaller.

The Belkin MagSafe 2-in-1 Wireless Charging Stand (WIZ010) takes up more space on a nightstand or desktop than comparable two-device charging stations.

The iOttie iON Wireless Duo Stand + Pad (CHWRIO107GL) isn’t especially compact or stylish, and it lacks MagSafe compatibility.

The iOttie Velox Wireless Duo Stand is one of the least powerful models we tested (we measured up to 6.1 W charging speeds), and its USB-C input cable is not removable. It’s stylish, but the navy-and-gold color scheme makes it tougher to incorporate with most decor.

The Zens Liberty Wireless Charger Glass Edition has 16 overlapping wireless charging coils, allowing you to position two Qi-capable devices pretty much anywhere on its surface (aside from the very edges) to charge. This design makes placement almost foolproof, solving one of wireless charging’s biggest drawbacks. But the Liberty is bulky and expensive, and it has loud fans that kick on when you’re charging a phone.

Three or more wireless charging pads

The Anker 3-in-1 Cube with MagSafe has a compelling design. It can charge up to three devices when expanded, and it packs up into a neat cube when it’s not in use. The phone-charging pad is angle-adjustable, and it flips up to reveal a small mirror and earbuds charging pad underneath. Also, a watch-charging pad is hidden in a slot on the side of the cube.

After trying it for a few weeks, however, we decided that it’s impractical for everyday use (the design is too cluttered, and it’s too easy to knock over) or for travel (it’s compact, but the shape makes it awkward to pack in a bag).

The Anker 533 Wireless Charger (3-in-1 Stand) lacks MagSafe capabilities, and you have to supply your own Apple Watch Magnetic Charging Cable .

The Anker 533 Magnetic Wireless Charger (3-in-1 Stand) requires you to supply your own Apple Watch Magnetic Charging Cable . And the shallow divot that’s meant to hold an AirPods case in place isn’t especially grippy.

The Anker 737 MagGo Charger (3-in-1 Station) has MagSafe charging pads for an iPhone and an Apple Watch, and the rubber grips on the AirPods pad keep it securely in place. However, it’s a bit too small for everyday use on a desktop or nightstand, and it’s still too bulky to be practical for packing in a travel bag.

The Belkin Boost Charge Pro 3-in-1 Wireless Charging Pad with MagSafe has no stand to prop up your phone while it’s charging, the small divot that holds your AirPods case is awkwardly shaped, and it takes up more horizontal space than most of our picks. Plus, it performed worse in our charge tests compared with otherwise comparable models.

The Belkin 3-in-1 Wireless Charger is a former pick, but it fails to set itself apart from many newer models because it lacks MagSafe, and the AirPods pad doesn’t provide much grip.

The ESR HaloLock 3-in-1 Wireless Charger with CryoBoost is not very compact or pretty to look at, its built-in cooling fan is noisy, and you have to supply your own Apple Watch Magnetic Charging Cable .

Journey’s Trio 3-in-1 Wireless Charging Station and Trio Ultra 3-in-1 Fast Wireless Charging Station each have an angle-adjustable phone stand and a charging stand for an Apple Watch. However, we don’t like that the watch is hidden behind the phone, because you can’t see alerts on your watch while it’s charging. Also, the tertiary charging pads lack magnets or any other grippy material to keep your AirPods case aligned while charging.

The Mophie 3-in-1 Extendable Stand with MagSafe has a sturdy base and a phone stand that is both height- and angle-adjustable. But we don’t think most people need that much vertical height—the neck extends up to 16 inches, making it more like a selfie stick that also happens to charge. And the AirPods charging pad lacks magnets or any other kind of grippy material to hold it in place.

The Mophie 3-in-1 Stand for MagSafe Charger isn’t as small or sleek as its competitors, and you have to supply your own Apple Watch Magnetic Charging Cable .

Mophie’s 3-in-1 Wireless Charging Pad and 3-in-1 Wireless Charging Stand have a built-in charging stand for the Apple Watch, as well as grippy divots to hold your AirPods securely in place while charging. However, neither has a MagSafe phone pad, and their exteriors have a smooth texture that makes it tricky to align your phone with the charging coils.

The Native Union Drop XL Wireless Charger (Watch Edition) has a small footprint, and it quickly charged everything we placed on its surface. It’s encased in a neutral gray fabric, with rubber ridges for extra grip, and it has a detachable Apple Watch charging stand. However, aligning an AirPods case is tricky since it lacks MagSafe and has no clear placement markings.

The OtterBox 3-in-1 Charging Station for MagSafe (7.5 W) comes with a USB-C cable and wall charger, but the divot over the AirPods charging pad is too slick, the phone stand isn’t adjustable, and you have to supply your own Apple Watch Magnetic Charging Cable .

The Satechi 3-in-1 Magnetic Wireless Charging Stand has two MagSafe charging pads, for an iPhone and an Apple Watch, the latter of which is removable. It has an angle-adjustable stand and lights that indicate when each charging pad is in use. However, the exterior has a glossy finish that attracts dust and smudges. And even though it has a divot with grippy rubber on the base over the AirPods charging pad, it’s still tricky to align.

The Satechi Trio Wireless Charger With Magnetic Pad keeps all three of your devices firmly in place while charging, but it has no phone stand (so you can’t easily use your phone while it’s charging), and it takes up a lot of surface area on a nightstand or desk.

The Scosche Base3 3-In-1 Wireless Charging Dock is less expensive than our picks, but it has a traditional Qi stand rather than a MagSafe charger, and it charges more slowly. Also, the all-plastic design is less than elegant.

The Zens 4-in-1 Magsafe Compatible Wireless Charging Station (ZEDC21B/00) is as expensive as any charging station we’ve tested, costing $200 at this writing. It’s sleek and sturdy, and it’s the only contender with a handy groove to hold an Apple Pencil (though it can’t charge it).

However, it takes up a lot of desk space, and the phone stand is not height- or angle-adjustable. Also, the built-in iPad charging plug is wobbly, and it doesn’t allow you to charge in landscape orientation. And since it’s not removable, you can’t use it to prop up a book or anything other than a phone or tablet.

The Zens Dual+Watch Aluminum Wireless Charger is nice-looking and relatively inexpensive, and it charges devices quickly. However, two of its three charging pads lack MagSafe capabilities, so it’s difficult to properly align devices on them.

The Zens MagSafe+Watch 15W MagSafe Charging Station (ZEDC22B/00) is one of the priciest models we tested, costing $170 at this writing, and it has no standout features compared with similar models. Plus, the charging pad on the base is unmagnetized and smooth-textured, so your device can easily slide out of alignment while charging.

Now that every newly available iPhone supports wireless charging (with the exception of the budget-minded iPhone SE), there are more charging stations than ever in various sizes, shapes, and price points. The main differences between them are their layout and how many devices they can charge simultaneously. Whether you need your devices powered at your desk or on your nightstand , a charging station is a must-have accessory for anyone who owns multiple Apple devices—these are our favorites.

The 3-in-1 MagSafe Wireless Stand is the perfect solution for anyone who needs to charge their iPhone, AirPods, and Apple Watch. It features a sturdy base with a charging pad for AirPods, plus two stainless steel arms with a MagSafe charger for your iPhone (left) and a magnetic charging pad for your Apple Watch (right). The overall aesthetic has a timeless feel, allowing it to fit with all types of decor.

Adding to its cool factor is the ability to charge an iPhone in portrait or landscape, giving you the flexibility to use StandBy mode if you want. Bonus: It has an LED light on board that will indicate if the charging station is powering your devices as intended. Belkin’s 3-in-1 comes with a wall charger, so you don’t need to buy one separately. Unfortunately, the wall adapter is large and can take up a lot of space on a power strip, so you’ll need to plan accordingly.

Anker’s 3-in-1 Cube with MagSafe is a compact and versatile charging station for your various Apple devices. You can choose to charge your iPhone flat or elevated, with the angled position being ideal for using StandBy mode in iOS 17, a feature that turns your phone into a smart display. Underneath the MagSafe dock, you’ll find a dedicated spot for charging your AirPods or other compatible wireless earbuds. Finally, the right side hides a retractible Apple Watch charging pad.

The Cube’s design makes it ideal for saving space. It blends well with your surroundings when not in use, looking more like a decorative piece than a tech accessory. The compact size also makes Anker’s 3-in-1 charging pad a suitable option for travel. Not every charging station comes with a wall adapter, but Anker conveniently includes a 30-watt USB-C charger, so you can start powering your devices right out of the box.

Our only gripe is that the retractable charger only lies flat, so it isn’t ideal for using the Apple Watch in Nightstand mode. As it’s a 3-in-1 charger, however, you’ll likely angle the MagSafe pad when your iPhone is charging, so the lack of a vertical Apple Watch stand isn’t a major drawback.

Nomad has a reputation for making some of the best-looking tech accessories out there, and the brand’s Base One Max is the pinnacle of well-designed wireless charging stations. It’s crafted with metal and glass and features a satisfying heft, so it stays firmly planted on the surface where it’s placed. This not only ensures stability when grabbing your phone but also exudes a sense of quality and sophistication that complements any modern workspace or nightstand.

While the build quality of the Base One Max is undeniable, its premium design comes at a premium price. It’s by far the most expensive option on this list, making it a statement piece for those who really care about the quality of the things they buy. It’s also worth noting that the Base One Max is the only charging station on this list that doesn’t come with a bundled wall adapter, further adding to the cost.

Belkin BoostCharge Pro 2-in-1

BoostCharge Pro 2-in-1

Many of the charging stations on this list are sophisticated 3-in-1 models that allow you to charge three Apple devices simultaneously. Belkin’s 2-in-1 MagSafe Wireless Charging Pad is a more streamlined and affordable option that’s perfect for anyone who owns an iPhone and AirPods. This model features a more traditional lay-flat design—simply plop your devices down onto their respective spots and that’s it. Even better: There’s an extra USB-C port to plug in an Apple Watch charger.

While the design is relatively basic, the charging pad offers a few modern flourishes. It supports the newest Qi2 standard, ensuring consistent alignment and the fastest possible wireless charging for your iPhone. It also has a built-in LED that lets you know your device’s charging status. And although it’s not specifically designed for travel, Belkin’s compact lay-flat design makes it easy to throw in a bag.

Twelve South Butterfly 2-in-1 MagSafe

Butterfly 2-in-1 MagSafe

Twelve South’s new Butterfly 2-in-1 MagSafe Charger feels like a spiritual successor to Apple’s discontinued MagSafe Duo. But Twelve South’s solution is more elegant and functional, featuring two aluminum-clad charging pads—one 15-watt MagSafe charger for an iPhone and a fast charger for an Apple Watch—tethered by a vegan-leather strap.

What elevates the Butterfly above the MagSafe Duo is that Twelve South’s charger features magnets on both sides of the charging pads. When folded together, the magnets keep the Butterfly securely closed, protecting the charging pads during travel. Unfold it back-to-back and the charger can be propped up, allowing you to display your iPhone in StandBy mode.

When your iPhone is finished charging, the wireless pad can top up your AirPods. Meanwhile, your purchase comes with four international plug adapters, perfect for those who frequently travel.

Mophie 3-in-1 MagSafe

3-in-1 MagSafe

This 3-in-1 MagSafe-compatible charger from Mophie is an ideal solution for frequent travelers who own an iPhone, AirPods, and an Apple Watch. It can fold up to the size of a compact mirror, making it easy to pack into your purse or backpack. To top off its travel credibility, it comes with a felt carrying pouch, making it easy to stow away when you’re on the go.

As with other options on this list, a USB-C cable and 30-watt wall adapter are included, so you’re ready to go right out of the box. Compared with our most compact pick, Twelve South’s Butterfly , Mophie’s travel charger can power three devices simultaneously. It can’t prop up your iPhone for StandBy, but in terms of convenience, it’s an excellent travel companion thanks to its 3-in-1 design.

Anker MagGo 3-in-1

MagGo 3-in-1

The Anker MagGo 3-in-1 Station features a versatile, space-saving design that won’t clutter your desk or nightstand. When not in use, it can fold up to roughly the size of a deck of cards for easy storage. When unfolded, it transforms into a complete charging hub for your iPhone, Apple Watch, and AirPods. The phone stand cleverly flips up to reveal a charging pad for your AirPods, while a dedicated Apple Watch charger pops out from the base.

The charging station supports the latest Qi2 standard, so it comes with strong magnets for precise alignment and delivers up to 15 watts of power. Additionally, Anker’s charging station comes with a bundled 40-watt AC adapter and a five-foot USB-C cable, so you don’t need to buy extra accessories.

Twelve South HiRise 3 Deluxe

HiRise 3 Deluxe

The best charging stations generally take up a lot of horizontal space, whether they’re standing upright or lying flat. Twelve South’s HiRise 3 Deluxe is a more vertical station, making it a compact solution to save space on your nightstand. Instead of arranging its charging pads side by side, Twelve South’s 3-in-1 arranges them in a front-to-back configuration (Apple Watch in front, iPhone in the middle, and AirPods in the back). The idea is to save as much space as possible.

In addition to its space-saving design, the HiRise 3 Deluxe’s MagSafe pad for the iPhone has 35 degrees of adjustment, allowing you to find the best viewing angle. Other charging stations have a fixed MagSafe pad, so you’re stuck with the angle you’re given. Meanwhile, the charging pad for the Apple Watch can sit flat or flip up, so you can use it with various watch straps. These thoughtful features elevate the experience, making the HiRise 3 Deluxe perfect for conserving space.

What to Consider When Buying an Apple Charging Station

shape, rectangle

While many wireless charging stations might look similar, there are key features that differentiate them and impact your charging experience. To ensure you get the most out of your purchase, here are the criteria we considered when grading wireless charging stations.

Flat or Elevated: Every setup is different, so the charging station you choose has to work for your specific needs. Consider how you’ll use your devices and where you’ll keep the charger (e.g., your desk or nightstand). Elevated charging stands are ideal for a desk because they display your devices and allow you to keep an eye on notifications or glance at the time throughout the day. Horizontal chargers, on the other hand, are excellent for nightstands. They offer a clean and minimalist look that blends into the surroundings. Since your devices will likely be resting overnight, a horizontal charging station provides a convenient solution when you don’t need to always see your device’s screen.

Power Output: There’s no denying the convenience of wireless charging. Unfortunately, it’s not the quickest way to replenish your devices. That’s why it’s important to consider the wattage when choosing the charging station that’s right for you. We recommend a charging station that’s MagSafe certified or equipped with new Qi2 technology, ensuring the fastest possible wireless charging speeds of 15 watts for your iPhone.

Also take note of whether the charging station comes with a power adapter. While many of our picks come with a 30-watt charger, some big-name offerings require you to buy one separately.

Anlmz 3-in-1 Charging Station

Great price point

Works with iPhone 8 - 15

Small footprint

Not compatible with many cases, popsockets

Does not support AirPods Pro2

Don’t let the tiny price tag of the Anlmz 3-in-1 Charging Station mislead you: this is a perfectly good 3-in-1 charging station that works with all iPhones from the 8 forward, with all Apple Watches, and with almost every variation of AirPods, too. And it’s a clever charger, too: once the station detects that your phone has reached its full charge capacity, it automatically reduces its power output to a mere trickle that keeps the phone powered up and reduces the chance of overheating.

With a 10-watt output for the phone charger, a five-watt AirPods charger, and a three-watt Apple Watch charger, this affordable device can have all of your electronics powered up from fully drained batteries in about three and a half hours. It measures just under four inches across and is barely five inches tall, so this is a compact charging station that will fit almost anywhere, from a narrow shelf at home to the fold-down tray on a plane.

Folds down flat

Watch charger can be used independently

Backed by robust warranty

The ESR 3-in-1 Travel Charge Stand was made with the frequent traveler in mind. If you’re a traveler who uses an iPhone, Apple Watch, and AirPods, then you are said person. This compact 3-in-1 system folds flat when it’s not in use so it can be popped into a bag or even tucked into a pocket. While it is powering up your devices, it can serve as an upright stand for your phone. And the watch charger can be detached and connected directly to a separate charging block or to a USB-C port on a computer and can charge your Apple Watch independently.

And while this may be a compact and portable charging device, it’s sturdy enough for daily use and it’s powerful enough to be your primary charger thanks to its 15-watt phone charge output. The ESR 3-in-1 Travel Charge Stand comes with a power outlet charging adapter, a five-foot USB-C cable, that removable watch charger, and even with a handy travel case that can accommodate all of that hardware plus the charger itself.

Belkin MagSafe 3-in-1 Wireless Charging Stand

Sturdy magnetic connection

Heavy and rather large

The Belkin MagSafe 3-in-1 Wireless Charging Stand elevates your phone more than most wireless charging stations and holds it at just the right angle for easy viewing or for use as a platform for a video chat, making this charging stand ideal for use at work. And in fact, it puts your watch on clear display, too, so you’ll never miss a text or a notification even as your devices charge. And the MagSafe charging pad creates a reliably solid connection, so your phone won’t fall off the charger even if you brush against it while working or your desk gets jostled.

Weighing in at nearly two pounds, this is a larger charging station than most, but that size helps lend some of the aforementioned stability, and it lends the Belkin MagSafe 3-in-1 Wireless Charging Stand a commanding look there on your desktop. And with its 15-watt output power, the charger lives up to its looks in terms of performance, too. Also robust is the two-year “Connected Equipment Warranty” that covers up to $2,500 of damages should such occur while your devices are on the charger.

Anker MagGo 3-in-1 Charging Station  »

Anker MagGo 3-in-1 Charging Station

Very small footprint

On the pricey side

And it can fold up and be tucked away into a drawer when it’s not in use. But while it might be small, this charger is pretty mighty. It can rapidly charge up your phone with a 15-watt wireless connection, and it can power a watch up to 50% battery in just over half an hour.

You won’t ever have to worry about your devices overheating when they spend all those nighttime hours connected because the Anker MagGo 3-in-1 Charging Station uses an “ActiveShield” temperature monitoring system that checks the heat levels of connected devices an astounding 3,000,000 times per day and adjusts charge levels if overheating is beginning to occur. The charger also prevents overcurrent and overvoltage damage.

Satechi 3-in-1 Magnetic Wireless Charging Stand  »

Satechi 3-in-1 Magnetic Wireless Charging Stand

Sleek and stylish looks

Good angle for screen viewing

Modest 7.5-watt charging

If the Satechi 3-in-1 Magnetic Wireless Charging Stand weren’t a perfectly functional and reliable charging system, we would never recommend it based on its looks alone, but the simple fact is this is a cool-looking charger. And as your charging station is likely to be on prominent display at all times, why not let looks be a factor? It’s elegantly simple and sleek, with modern lines and a sturdy base. But while sleek, this stand is plenty sturdy, easily holding up even the largest iPhones in landscape or portrait orientation.

The 7.5-watt phone charger lags behind a 15-watt charger in terms of charging speed, but this charging stand delivers more than enough power to keep your phone gaining a charge even as you actively use it. And it handily powers up your Apple Watch and AirPods at the same time, all while looking great.

CIYOYO Wireless Charging Station for Apple  »

CIYOYO Wireless Charging Station for Apple

Works with non-Apple devices

Anti-slip silicone base

Slow charging when all 3 devices connected

Some units fail within a year

The CIYOYO Wireless Charging Station for Apple is just three inches wide and less than five inches deep, so it can perch on a narrow shelf, tuck in on a cluttered desk, or even take up residence on a window ledge. It achieves its minimal footprint by placing the watch charger at the top of the unit with the earbuds charger just below it, set behind the angled phone charging stand. And note we don’t specifically say iPhone, Apple Watch, or AirPods, because this charging station works with Apple devices and many non-Apple gadgets, too.

The station comes in a half dozen different color options, all of which are on the basic but classy side (think black, white, or tan) and it has an understated style that lets it blend in with its surroundings rather than stand out. Bright green LED indicators let you know a charging connection has been made, and they switch off after 20 seconds, which is good if you plan to use this station in the bedroom.

The Bottom Line

The UCOMX 15W Nano 3-in-1 Wireless Charger is our pick for the best 3-in-1 Apple charging station overall because it is effective, affordable, and adaptable, folding into a raised stand for viewing convenience or laying flat for ease of use. Each of the other 3-in-1 chargers we cover here has features that might make it the best 3-in-1 Apple charging station for your needs, so take a close look at all of them and consider how and where you do your device charging.

Things To Consider When Buying a 3-in-1 Apple Charging Station

Device Compatibility: It’s important that your 3-in-1 charging station is compatible not just with an iPhone, Apple Watch, and AirPods, but with the generation and models of these devices that you own and use, so make sure to identify your specific phone, watch, and earbuds and check to see that they are supported. And note that in limited cases, these charging stations also work with other brands, such as with a Samsung Galaxy phone, in case you ever cross brand boundaries.

Charging Speed and Power Output: Qi charging, which is charging via electromagnetic induction, was until recently often limited to 7.5 watts, though many wireless chargers operate at twice that output today. At 15 watts, a fully drained iPhone should be at nearing% battery in around an hour and fully powered up in two and a half, but note that many chargers will take longer to fully charge your phone, especially if three devices are charging at once.

Additional Features: Because all 3-in-1 charging stands for Apple devices have the same base functions, it can be the other features that make one a best pick for you. Look for things like LED indicators that confirm charging, for example. Or look for adjustable and adaptable stands, says Doud, such as “a watch charger that rotates out from underneath the charging stand making it very compact [or] chargers that fold up for easy storage.”

Design and Footprint: The physical size of your charging station matters quite a bit if you travel often or need it in a tight space, such as on a small nightstand. Otherwise, all such stations are relatively small and what matters more is the form and function of your 3-in-1. “Look for chargers equipped with an easy-to-use magnetic connection and built-in modules that works when an iPhone is in both portrait and landscape modes,” says Lirette.

Price and Value: “The 60 to 70 dollar range is actually relatively cheap for this product category,” says Doud, so know that you may have to shell out more than you expect to get unique features in a 3-in-1 charging station. That said, there are several more budget-friendly options that are well worth your consideration.

How We Chose the Best 3-in-1 Apple Charging Stations

Every 3-in-1 Apple charging stations will meet your basic needs, namely charging three different types of devices at once. It’s in identifying quality of construction, value, and unique use case that key differences emerge. To help select the best 3-in-1 Apple charging stations, contributor Steven John reached out to some tech experts who have spent their fair share of time considering this highly specific type of hardware.

The individuals to whom John spoke included senior mobile tech analyst and tech review podcaster Adam Doud ; and Dani Lirette, senior account executive with the tech-focused Max Borges Agency . Doud and Lirette both offered specific product recommendations and general insights into what to look for in a 3-in-1 Apple charging station. This included points about the devices themselves, but also thoughts on their use, such as which options were the best for travel, which the best for your desk at work, and so on.

Armed with expert input, John combed through the plethora of 3-in-1 Apple charging stations available, using the data he found as well as plentiful reviews and ratings left by verified buyers to arrive his selection of the best products.

Why Should You Trust Us?

U.S. News & World Report contributor Steven John has spent more than 12 years testing and writing about various products, services, apps, travel destinations, and more. His range of product testing experience includes everything from tech hardware to office furniture to fitness apparel and much more, including many different types of charging devices. 3-in-1 Apple Charging Stations FAQs

First and foremost, make sure the charger can accommodate all three of those portable electronic devices you use daily, namely, says Doud, “your phone, your watch, and your AirPods.” But he adds that you also need to consider how the devices are placed and how adaptable the charger is, saying: “[Look] for a charger that serves as a stand for watching media in landscape orientation [or] for travel, one that’s very compact.”

Making sure your devices will work with a charging station simply requires reading the stats, and note that almost all of the best 3-in-1 Apple charging stations are relatively future proof, designed to work with phones, watches, and earbuds that have not even been released yet. Most are also backward compatible with several generations of iPhone, Apple Watch, and AirPods, but do take the time to read which models will work with your new charging station.

There are indeed safety concerns that come with charging stations, such as overheating that can damage a device and, in extreme cases, present a fire hazard. But all of the 3-in-1 charging stations that we have featured here have overheat protection features, so your phone, watch, earbuds, and your property are all safe when you use these devices.

A 3-in-1 charger reduces the need for cables and charging blocks and lets you charge three critical devices at once, but it also has two more benefits that must not be overlooked. First, most such charging stations can prop up your phone for easy viewing, both your view of the screen and the camera’s view of you for photos, videos, or a FaceTime or Zoom session. And second, by storing all of your major portable electronic devices in one place, these Apple charging stations make it less likely you will misplace and lose any of your hardware.

Q: Why should I get a 3-in-1 charger?

There are a few good reasons to get one. The first is that they offer the convenience of charging your iPhone, Apple Watch, and AirPods on a single stand. This eliminates the need for separate cables and the need for individual chargers, which makes them ideal for decluttering nightstands and desks.

Some 3-in-1s offer faster charging, while you also get the convenience of MagSafe for iPhone 12 or later. However, not all chargers are the same. Be sure to check any you buy is compatible with your iPhone, Apple Watch, or AirPods model.

Q: Will charging all three devices at once slow charging speed?

Yes, charging all three together slows down charging speeds. However, the deceleration isn’t dramatic. If you charge your devices overnight, it won’t slow down to the point where they aren’t fully fueled in the morning.

The reason for this slower charging is that the power output of your 3-in-1 needs to be shared between the connected devices. When connecting just one device, it will receive all the attention, meaning it will charge more quickly than if it were sharing the power. So, if you’re in a hurry to get one of your devices charged, disconnect the other two.

Q: Can I charge Android smartwatches on an Apple 3-in-1 charger?

You can, in most cases, as long as the smartwatch supports Qi wireless charging, which is cross-compatible between brands and devices. So, if yours is one, then it should be compatible with a 3-in-1 charger designed for Apple devices.

However, you should note that coil alignment between the watch and charger may, in some cases, affect charging efficiency. It’s always best to check for compatibility beforehand.

Q: Can I charge an Android tablet on an Apple 3-in-1 charger?

If your Android tablet uses a USB-C cable for charging and your 3-in-1 charger has a USB-C port, it will likely work. Just double-check the wattage to ensure it provides enough power. However, even if your Android tablet supports wireless charging, alignment and compatibility may be issues.

What is The Best MagSafe Travel Charger for Apple Products?

If you’re the travel type, you’ll agree with me that there are several integrated outlets at airport terminals, in-flight Wi-Fi, and USB ports built into hotel nightstands making it feel like the travel and hospitality industries are constantly coming up with new methods to make your life easier while you are away from home. Regardless of all these modern comforts, it’s still all too easy to find oneself in a scenario where you don’t have access to electricity. Whether traveling nonstop or on an older airplane without outlets, most mobile devices can’t handle a full day of travel without backup. For those who want to keep using their preferred computers, tablets, and cell phones while traveling, many power solutions are available.

Why Should I Buy a MagSafe Travel Charger

Without favoritism in play, we all know the stress and consequent problems that follow chargers before the emergence of wireless chargers. Apart from the fact that conventional chargers easily get faulty, most people don’t buy the idea of going about with cords.

Thankfully, Apple’s MagSafe technology brings an improvement in wireless charging making it easier to wirelessly charge your iPhones and other Apple products.

The term MagSafe refers to a ring of magnets that surrounds the internal charging coil of the iPhone 12, 13, and 14, which recognizes compatible accessories and magnetically locks them into place with the proper accessories. Having one of these MagSafe chargers guarantees that your phone charges as fast as possible with you necessarily holding it in place.

Every iPhone 12/13/14 model supports MagSafe. It enables powerful and less wasteful magnetic clamping of approved and compatible accessories to the back of the iPhone. For a variety of reasons, MagSafe charging can be twice as quick as typical Qi wireless charging. The first difference is that it allows 15W iPhone charging (12W for the iPhone 12/13/14 mini), as opposed to the typical 7.5W from a Qi charger.  This is because the maximum power of conventional, non-MagSafe magnetic chargers is 7.5W.

The second difference is that, compared to what you would receive by simply setting your phone on top of a non-magnetic wireless charging pad, the connection is far more exact. Ineffective wireless charging can lose up to 50% of its power due to improper positioning and a few environmental conditions. When compared to cabled charging with Lightning, the wireless inefficiency of MagSafe is more like 30% wastage. You’re also less likely to discover that your phone didn’t charge at all because the magnet ensures that it is placed properly.

Thanks to technologies such as MagSafe and the latest inductive Qi wireless charging standard, Qi2, these charging stations provide support for fast charging and a secure magnetic connection for precise alignment. With these advancements, charging stations have become a must-have accessory, whether you're charging at your desk or nightstand . We spent several hours researching, testing, and comparing chargers from leading accessory makers such as Anker, Belkin, and Nomad to help you find the best Apple charging station worth gifting.

Best Apple Charging Stations

  • Best Overall: Belkin MagSafe 3-in-1 Wireless Charging Stand
  • Best Budget: STM ChargeTree Swing 3-in-1 Wireless Charging Station
  • Most Versatile: Anker 3-in-1 Cube with MagSafe Charging Station
  • Most Compact: TwelveSouth Butterfly
  • Best Travel Charger: Mophie 3-in-1 Travel Charger with MagSafe

What to Consider

While Apple charging stations share the single goal of recharging devices, they all vary greatly in size, shape, appearance, and features. The main differences between them are how many devices they hold, their charging speeds, and whether or not they use MagSafe. MagSafe is a technology from Apple that uses a system of built-in magnets to allow compatible accessories to seamlessly snap onto the back of an iPhone.

Flat Versus Elevated

Before shopping for an Apple charging station, be sure to decide whether you want a charger that elevates your iPhone and doubles as a viewing stand or if you’d prefer a charging pad that rests on a flat surface. A vertical stand is a must-have if you own an iPhone 14 Pro or an iPhone 15 Pro. Their always-on displays will allow them to double as useful smart displays or fancy picture frames in StandBy mode — an awesome new feature brought by iOS 17.

Vertical charging stands look great on a desk, where you can glance at the iPhone throughout the day. Meanwhile, a flat charging pad works well on a nightstand, where devices may sit overnight. If you're looking for a more streamlined appearance, flat is the way to go, but elevated gives you more options for display.

Power Output

Our recommended MagSafe charging stations have a maximum power output of 15 watts, which means that they can replenish a compatible iPhone battery at full speed. We also advise that you shop for a product that has MFi certification, which stands for “Made for iPod, iPhone, and iPad.” It's a program that ensures that accessory makers use Apple-approved safe parts in the manufacturing process.

Wireless chargers equipped with new Qi2 technology are a solid alternative to chargers that are MagSafe-certified. Developed by the Wireless Power Consortium (WPC), Qi2 chargers will offer faster charging speeds and mandate the magnet's strength, size, and dimensions. Importantly, Qi2-certified chargers are cheaper than models that are MagSafe-certified but can still charge compatible devices (like the iPhone 13, 14, and 15) at up to 15 watts.

Lastly, take note of whether the charging station comes with a power brick, as several big-name offerings do not. Thankfully, getting such an accessory is not too expensive these days. You can snag a great adapter for $20 or less.

Find the best Apple wireless charging station for yourself or someone you care about among the thoroughly scrutinized products below. Our favorite picks will ensure you and your loved ones won’t get interrupted by a low-battery notification halfway through the day.

How We Selected

We've been testing charging stations since Apple introduced wireless charging to its iPhone in 2017. For this guide, we relied on first-hand testing, expert and user reviews, and industry research of products from leading brands, ensuring they meet our strict criteria. That includes, at a minimum, the ability to charge multiple devices at once and MFi certification. In addition, we considered features like the charging station's design (i.e., whether it's flat or elevated) and its maximum power output. By carefully considering these important charging station features, every option on our list will help the Apple user in your life replenish all their devices efficiently and conveniently. Whether they prefer a sleek, minimalist design or an elevated station, our recommendations cater to various preferences while delivering reliable performance.

Belkin MagSafe 3-in-1 Wireless Charging Stand

MagSafe 3-in-1 Wireless Charging Stand

If your loved one has an iPhone 12 series or newer, I recommend this three-in-one charger from Belkin, which is arguably the ultimate Apple charging station. The accessory flaunts a timelessly cool design with stainless steel arms. The Belkin comes in black or white, so it’ll also blend in with many décor and style preferences.

The charging station features a MagSafe charger to juice up an iPhone and a magnetic charging module for an Apple Watch, plus a spot to wirelessly charge AirPods. It supports the fastest charging speeds, doesn’t take up too much room on a table, and allows a smartphone to charge in either landscape or portrait mode.

One reviewer says, “The Belkin MagSafe 3-in-1 Wireless Charging Stand is a premium solution that lives up to its higher price point, delivering exceptional build quality and functionality. From the moment you handle the stand, its solid feel and substantial weight become apparent. This weightiness proves invaluable when attaching and detaching my iPhone and Apple Watch from the magnetic connector.”

Another neat touch? It has an LED light onboard that shines red when devices are misaligned. When it’s white, your giftee will know that everything is working as intended.

Key Features

Anker 3-in-1 cube with magsafe charging station.

3-in-1 Cube with MagSafe Charging Station

The 3-in-1 Cube with MagSafe by Anker is a fantastic alternative to our top pick, offering fast charging speeds for Apple gear in a more compact and versatile form at the same price point. Impressively, the gadget has a MagSafe dock with adjustable angles, so you can opt to charge your iPhone while elevated or flat, with the former a must for taking advantage of Standby Mode in iOS 17. Lifting the MagSafe dock reveals a spot for powering up AirPods or other compatible earbuds, while the right side of the station is home to a retractable Apple Watch charging dock. We love that the charger looks like a small cube (hence the name), not a tech accessory when not in use.

The compact design makes the 3-in-1 Cube a reliable travel companion. And in case you can’t find a spot for the 14-ounce gadget while packing, keep in mind that its 30-watt USB-C adapter is great for individually charging phones, tablets, and countless small gadgets. One satisfied customer writes, “I particularly like the ability to slant the iPhone screen while charging. It makes it so easy to adapt the viewing angle to whatever I am doing. The ease of using the Apple Standby mode is automatic and makes your iPhone a really nice bedside alarm clock while charging.”

STM ChargeTree Swing 3-in-1 Wireless Charging Station

ChargeTree Swing 3-in-1 Wireless Charging Station

The STM ChargeTree Swing is the charging station to get if you are shopping on a tight budget. Priced well below $100 before additional deals and discounts, the accessory has a Qi wireless charging stand that’s compatible with iPhone and Android phones , a charging pad for AirPods and other compatible wireless earbuds, and a swiveling Apple Watch dock.

We like the retractable watch dock because it makes the clutter-reducing ChargeTree Swing even more space-efficient when charging Apple’s timepiece isn’t necessary (e.g., the Apple Watch Ultra can last for days on a single charge). The feature is also convenient for sharing the ChargeTree with an Apple Watch-toting household member.

Another bit we like about the STM ChargeTree Swing is that every charging surface it has features a convenient light indicator. Such functionality is missing on many pricier rivals. You can order the product in black or white.

Belkin MagSafe 3-in-1 Charging Pad

MagSafe 3-in-1 Charging Pad

The Belkin 3-in-1 Wireless Charging Pad features a modern, minimalist aesthetic that's perfect for nightstands. The versatile charging pad supports MagSafe and delivers fast wireless charging, with space to simultaneously charge an iPhone, AirPods, and Apple Watch.

Similar to the Nomad Base One Max, the Belkin has a satisfying heft, weighing nearly 1 lb. Although it's primarily made of plastic, it has a high-end matte finish and non-slip surface, ensuring devices stay in place while charging. The MagSafe charging puck is elevated off the pad's surface, a clever design that allows users to easily pick up their iPhone. Meanwhile, the Apple Watch charger can be flipped up to support the device in Nightstand mode.

Thankfully, the Belkin MagSafe 3-in-1 Wireless Charging Pad comes with a 40-watt AC adapter, unlike the Nomad Base One Max. At 9.3 inches wide, Belkin's charging pad requires a lot of room on a nightstand or desk. Still, its beautiful design and ability to charge three devices simultaneously makes it an excellent 3-in-1 charger.

Mophie 3-in-1 Travel Charger with MagSafe

3-in-1 Travel Charger with MagSafe

This triple MagSafe-compatible charger is perfect for folks who travel, since it folds up to the size of a compact mirror. It has dedicated spots for juicing up an iPhone, Apple Watch, and AirPods.

Compared to Apple’s MagSafe Duo, the Mophie charger comes with a detachable USB-C cable and 30-watt power adapter, which can be stored in an included felt carrying pouch. (As a comparison, Apple’s charger only includes a Lightning-to-USB-C cable.)

This one has an extra charging slot as well. Even better? The device's charging speeds won't slow down if it's also charging an Apple Watch. This is not the case if you're recharging an iPhone and the Watch simultaneously using Apple's MagSafe Duo charger.

Belkin MagSafe 2-in-1 Charging Station

MagSafe 2-in-1 Charging Station

The Belkin 2-in-1 wireless charger is nearly identical to our best overall pick, with the only major difference being that it doesn’t have a place to charge an Apple Watch. It’s a good option for folks who don’t have a smartwatch and for anyone who wants to gift a sleek Belkin charger for a budget of just under $100.

As you’d expect, the Belkin can simultaneously charge an iPhone and a set of AirPods at their fastest charging speeds. Since the iPhone is magnetically attached, it can be used in portrait or landscape mode. (And can easily be placed back in the middle of the night when you pull it off to check your phone after going to the bathroom.)

I keep this charger on my nightstand to charge my devices before bed, but have found that this wireless charger makes an excellent accessory for Facetime calls or watching videos, as well.

Anker MagGo 3-in-1 Charging Station

MagGo 3-in-1 Charging Station

Charging stations can be big and bulky, taking up precious space on a desk or nightstand. The Anker MagGo 3-in-1 Charging Station is roughly the size of a deck of cards when folded, yet can expand to charge an iPhone, Apple Watch, and AirPods all at once. The stand, which charges the iPhone, can flip up to reveal a charging pad for Apple's wireless earbuds. Meanwhile, a puck flips out from the base, providing a dedicated space for charging the Apple Watch.

As a bonus, the Anker MagGo 3-in-1 Charging Station comes with a 40-watt AC adapter, so it isn't necessary to buy one separately. Anker's charging station is part of a wave of devices that support the new Qi2 standard, which delivers an output of up to 15 watts and uses rings of magnets to ensure proper alignment. Anker's charging station also has Apple MFW certification, or "Made for Watch," designating it as an accessory that is specifically designed for the Apple Watch.

The fact that the Anker MagGo 3-in-1 Charging Station is so compact means it can slide into a jacket pocket or backpack easily. In addition to the 40-watt USB-C charger, the MagGo 3-in-1 Charging Station comes with a 5 foot USB-C to USB-C cable.

OtterBox 2-in-1 Power Bank with MagSafe

2-in-1 Power Bank with MagSafe

Want to charge multiple Apple gadgets without plugging into a power outlet? OtterBox’s battery-powered charger features a full-speed MagSafe charger, an Apple Watch dock, and a fast USB-C port for powering up other devices and replenishing their batteries. The latter has a robust 10,000 mAh capacity, allowing it to charge an iPhone, an Apple Watch, and a set of wireless earbuds with power to spare.

We were impressed by the gadget’s versatility during our testing. The MagSafe and Apple Watch charging docks can accommodate devices in a flat or a vertical position. This means that, depending on your preferences and the iPhone model you own, there’s an option to choose between using the Apple Watch in nightstand mode or a compatible iPhone with iOS 17 and Standby on.

The product’s retail package includes a bundled USB-C cable, which, measuring 1.6 ft (0.5m) in length, could be a tad longer. Considering that you or the gift recipient probably have such a cable already, this is definitely not a dealbreaker.

Nomad Base One Max

Base One Max

The Base One Max charging station by Nomad sets itself apart from similarly priced rivals by featuring a low-key design and a high-quality build. Crafted using metal and glass, the Apple accessory makes its rivals look (and feel) generic in comparison. It also delivers fast charging speeds for iPhone, Apple Watch, and AirPods.

Upon unboxing the Base One Max, we were impressed by its craftsmanship and tactility. Weighing almost 1 lb., the Apple charging station will instantly treat you or the gift recipient to a sense of quality that’s not typical for this product category.

Overall, the Base One Max is an amazing buy if you value design and craftsmanship and don’t mind charging your iPhone only horizontally. You can order the product in carbide or silver. Its bundled USB-C cable with a matching color is also decidedly upmarket, but dropping $150 would not get you a charging adapter.

TwelveSouth Butterfly

Butterfly

Following the release of the iPhone 15, Apple stopped selling the MagSafe Duo (although it’s still available at third-party retailers), our previous portable pick. Luckily, the ultra-portable TwelveSouth Butterfly fills that gap. The 2-in-1 charger features two aluminum-clad charging pads — one is MagSafe and the other is an Apple Watch charger — tethered by a vegan leather strap.

Cleverly, the TwelveSouth Butterfly features magnets on both sides of the charging pads to securely close for travel. The magnets also allow the pucks to open back to back, forming a kickstand for the iPhone's Standby Mode. The TwelveSouth Butterfly can charge a compatible iPhone at 15 watts and delivers fast charging to all Apple Watch models. It can also charge any AirPods that support wireless charging.

At $129, the Butterfly is on the expensive side for a 2-in-1. However, it does include a 30-watt power adapter, four international plug adapters, and a 3.3 foot USB-C to USB-C cable, so you won't need to buy anything extra. Our biggest gripe with the Butterfly is the magnetic connection is so strong the entire charger will lift when removing the iPhone. Users will need to use two hands — one to grab the iPhone and the other to peel off the charger.
