Dua Lipa announces 2022 ‘Future Nostalgia’ US tour with supports including Megan Thee Stallion

Caroline Polachek will also play a number of the 'Future Nostalgia' shows

Dua Lipa has announced details of a 2022 ‘Future Nostalgia’ US tour, featuring support acts including Megan Thee Stallion and Caroline Polachek .

The dates, on the back of Dua’s hugely successful second album from 2020, begin in early February before running through until the start of April.

Megan Thee Stallion will support the singer at dates in Denver, Tulsa and Phoenix in mid-March, while Polachek will support on every date and Lolo Zouaï will play most of the dates.

“I’m so thrilled to tour again and see my angels in person! How amazing that we all get to dance and celebrate together once again,” Dua said in a statement.

“When I was writing ‘Future Nostalgia’ I imagined the songs being played in clubs on nights out with your mates. I’m so excited that this fantasy is finally coming true. I can’t wait to experience these songs with you together live!”

Dua Lipa released the acclaimed ‘Future Nostalgia’ in March 2020, while  an accompanying remix album with The Blessed Madonna followed that August.

Since then, the singer was revealed as  the most-played UK artist of last year . The music licensing company PPL revealed their ‘Most Played Charts’ for 2020 , with Lipa ranking first in their list of the most-played artists in the UK.

A UK and European tour for ‘Future Nostalgia’ is also set to follow the US run, beginning in mid-April and running until June.

The singer was originally  set to hit the road in the UK in May 2020  before the dates were  pushed back to January 2021  as the  coronavirus  hit last spring.

Last October, the dates were  rescheduled once again to September and October this year , but with restrictions continuing in the UK the shows will now take place in spring of 2022. New dates in Europe have also been announced.

Dua Lipa Announces Highly Anticipated North American Future Nostalgia Tour

Today, global pop superstar Dua Lipa announced the North American leg of her highly anticipated  Future Nostalgia Tour  for 2022, in support of the Grammy-winning album of the same name. The arena tour makes 28 stops across the US, including Dua’s first ever headline show at Madison Square Garden in New York City and the iconic Forum in Los Angeles. The  Future Nostalgia Tour  will also feature support from Caroline Polachek and Lolo Zouaï, with Megan Thee Stallion joining on select dates, full list of tour stops and lineups below. The long-awaited  Future Nostalgia Tour,  produced by Ceremony London, promoted by Live Nation and sponsored by Truly Hard Seltzer, will be the first time Dua connects her live vision for this album in-person with fans. Previously, the superstar was able to connect with fans during her record smashing live stream extravaganza  Studio 2054 , which had over 5 million viewers during its initial airing and featured special guests Angele, Bad Bunny, Elton John, FKA Twigs, J Balvin, Kylie Minogue, Miley Cyrus and Tainy. Megan Thee Stallion could come out on top at 2025 Grammys after being dissed by other artists

2024 has been a banner year for Megan Thee Stallion . The three-time Grammy winner returned to the charts with her number-one single "Hiss," a viral hit that ultimately helped with the resurgence of diss tracks on the charts this year. The song was followed up by the hit "Boa," and then came her third studio album, “Megan.” She has definitely been rocking the industry, so expect this era to culminate in some Grammy nominations.

Megan's main appeal this year is her narrative. In short, she managed to take ridicule from other artists in the industry and use that to fuel her success. She has been mocked for serious events, like her shooting at the hands of Tory Lanez and her mother's passing . But she has made herself even more sympathetic than she already was, and she has managed to address the harassment in a truly artistic way that rap voters are sure to love. It probably helps that her main detractors in the industry seem to be Drake , who's already not coming off well this year, and Nicki Minaj , who isn't liked all that much by the Recording Academy, as evidenced by her 12 nominations without a win.

Another factor in her favor is the competition this year. While rap hasn't had a bad year, per se, a lot of the hits this year might not be up the Grammys’ alley. Megan, however, has an accessible style for voters old and young, more in line with traditional hip-hop while still playing with a lot of modern sounds. "Hiss," for example, is reminiscent of a ’90s diss track, while something like the viral "Mamushi" is closer to mainstream trap mixed with J-rap. The album also has more stylistic diversity, with the dance track "Worth It" and the club banger "Where Them Girls At." In general, Megan has a leg up on other contenders this year who veer more into mumble rap or way too hard into pop.

This era has also been commercially successful, which is usually an advantage too. “Megan” debuted at number-three on the Billboard 200 while simultaneously topping the rap albums chart. As mentioned above, all three singles from the album were top-40 hits, making it one of the few rap albums to achieve that this season. And Megan could also pop up with a nomination for "Wanna Be," her hit collaboration with GloRilla that's rocking urban airplay right now. Potentially, Megan could get "Wanna Be" into Best Melodic Rap Performance and "Hiss" into Best Rap Performance and Best Rap Song. And who knows, there might be a push for "Mamushi" soon too given that it's been spreading on TikTok, so that might be the submission if it catches on.

Overall, the 2025 Grammys could be great for Megan, though we’ll have to see if the album's momentum can be kept in order to maximize a great nominations package. Her team has savvily booked her performances in major slots like the BET Awards while she goes on her sold-out tour. And as a bonus, it would be sweet revenge if she gets nominations over certain aforementioned artists who have come out against her.

Although Dua Lipa had the misfortune of dropping a party album just as the pandemic was starting, “Future Nostalgia” became one of the biggest albums of the past 18 months — and she’s finally announced North American arena tour in support of the album, for next year.

The tour makes 28 stops across the U.S., including her first-ever headline show at Madison Square Garden in New York City and the Forum in Los Angeles. The tour will feature support from Caroline Polachek and Lolo Zouaï, with Megan Thee Stallion joining on a handful of dates — full list of tour stops and lineups below. Dua Lipa Announces 2022 Tour Dates With Megan Thee Stallion And Caroline Polachek

It was way back in 2019 that Dua Lipa first announced plans to tour in support of her album Future Nostalgia , but naturally, she hasn’t been able to yet. Now, though, it’s finally happening: Lipa shared new dates for her tour, which kicks off in North America in February. She’ll be joined by Megan Thee Stallion, Caroline Polachek, and Lolo Zouaï.

Lipa excitedly shared the news on social media today, writing, “it’s finally happening!!!! We kick off the FUTURE NOSTALGIA TOUR in the US. I’m so excited to see you guys there and i’m bringing the ultimate girl gang with me @theestallion @carolineplz @lolozouai.”

Dua Lipa announces 2022 tour with Megan Thee Stallion and Caroline Polachek

The future nostalgia tour kicks off next february..

English pop star Dua Lipa dropped her earth-shaking sophomore album Future Nostalgia in March 2020, just as the pandemic was leaving the world's future very much in doubt. Now, with a vaccine available in North America (and a strict new policy from concert conglomerate Live Nation ), pop stars like Lipa are able to start planning out tours again.

In February 2022, Dua Lipa will kick off her Future Nostalgia tour of North America. Caroline Polachek and Lolo Zouaï will open on each of the dates, with Megan Thee Stallion performing on a few of the shows. See all of the 28 dates below; tickets go on sale this Friday, September 17 at 12 pm local time .

Who's ready for a 2022 full of  "Future Nostalgia" ? 

English pop star Dua Lipa announced her upcoming tour — named after hit 2020 synth-pop and disco inspired album "Future Nostalgia" — on Monday.  The North American tour dates kick off Feb. 9, 2022 in Miami and wrap in Vancouver, British Columbia on April 1, 2022. 

Chart-topping rapper Megan Thee Stallion will join Lipa in select cities including Denver, Phoenix and Tulsa, Oklahoma. Caroline Polachek and Lolo Zouaï will also make appearances. 

Tickets go on sale Friday at noon via ticketmaster.com .

A 26-year-old Grammy Award winner, Lipa released her second full-length album "Future Nostalgia" to critical acclaim and commercial success in 2020 by  capturing throwback pop sensibilities with a timeless groove . The singer-songwriter delayed the accompanying tour due to COVID-19 precautions.

Dua Lipa and Megan Thee Stallion met up in Las Vegas over the weekend ahead of their upcoming arena tour.

The 26-year-old pop superstar was in Sin City on Friday (Sept. 17) to perform at the 2021 iHeartRadio Music Festival , where she delivered such crowd-pleasing hits as “New Rules,” “Love Again” and “Hallucinate.”

“Vegas, this is amazing,” Lipa told the T-Mobile Arena audience. “This is my first time back onstage since 2020, so it’s been a long while. I hope you guys are having a good time.”

Dua lipa announces 2022 north american future nostalgia tour with megan thee stallion.

During the event, Lipa was honored by Ryan Seacrest with the iHeartRadio titanium award for her hit song “Levitating,” which reached 1 billion total audience spins across iHeartRadio stations. The track peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 in March 2020.

Meanwhile, Megan Thee Stallion was in Vegas for her headlining set at the 2021 Life Is Beautiful festival in downtown. Later in the evening, Lipa took to her Instagram Story to share a clip of the hip-hop star performing onstage at the Marquee Nightclub at The Cosmopolitan.

“Lets go hot girl,” Lipa captioned the clip, tagging Megan.

The singer also shared a behind-the-scenes photo gallery on Instagram of the two music stars making silly faces and posing together in the club. In the snapshots, Lipa is seen wearing a light blue lace catsuit, while Megan rocks a skin-tight pastel outfit.

“If love is a gamble baby let me roll my dice,” Lipa captioned the slideshow.

Last week, Lipa announced that she’d be teaming up with Megan Thee Stallion on her upcoming 28-city North American Future Nostalgia tour. The arena outing, in support of her Grammy-winning album of the same title, is scheduled to launch Feb. 9 in Miami and wrap April 1 in Vancouver.

Dua Lipa  is kicking off her  Future Nostalgia Tour 2022  in North America starting in February, and tickets are available now! The English pop star will be bringing her GRAMMY-winning, second studio album to life onstage across the country. Special guests include Megan Thee Stallion , Caroline Polachek and Lolo Zouaï. Tickets go on sale on the Ticketmaster website on Friday, Sept. 17, local time.

The "Levitating" singer's 2020 sophomore album won the GRAMMY for Best Pop Vocal Album in February 2021. 

ET spoke with the 26-year-old star earlier this year about Future Nostalgia being released amid the pandemic. 

"When I was thinking about when I was going to put this album out, and whether it was the right time, I was like, you know what? The reason why I did this was to get away from any outside pressures," she recalled. "And I was like, maybe it is the time to put this out and maybe it can serve as that for other people."

"It was probably the scariest decision I’ve ever made -- I had no idea how it would be received -- but I’m just so grateful for the response," she added.

Megan Thee Stallion and Dua Lipa Concoct a Powerful Melange on ‘Sweetest Pie’

Helmed by Megan Thee Stallion, the song is Dua Lipa’s least-controversial foray into the rap world to date (not long after her feature on Pop Smoke’s polarizing posthumous “Demeanor” dropped last summer, Dua condemned her “Levitating” collaborator DaBaby’s homophobic rant on stage at Rolling Loud Miami) and stands up tall with her dancefloor-dominating hits. Her hooks are crisp and bright, but her come-hither coo “You’ve never been to heaven, have you?” is absolutely decadent. 

On Megan’s side, “Sweetest Pie” shows that though she may take pride in her rap roots, she’s gaining ground in pop as one of the world’s biggest stars (as Spotify’s 84th most popular artist on the planet ), seamlessly uniting with an even broader force (Dua sits in Spotify’s Number Four spot). She made an admirable effort towards Dua-style, Eighties-era synth-soaked music with Good News ’ “Don’t Rock Me to Sleep,” but her latest is more satisfying, complete with sweet and sharp bars. When the beat drops as Megan proclaims “I ain’t never had to chase dick in my life,” her confidence radiates. 

The pair have been teasing “Sweetest Pie” for nearly a week, with Dua sharing a snippet of the song, and Megan posting photos of herself with a soft-serve updo, topped with sprinkles. Megan later posted a clip of her and Dua practicing choreography to announce the impending music video, one she conceptualized for director Dave Myers. The “Future Nostalgia” singer shared the album’s official cover art — close-up portraits of the two of them in stunning makeup. Dua’s pre-save link came complete with an entry in a sweepstakes for tickets to any of her 2022 shows.

“Sweetest Pie” comes just in time for Megan Thee Stallion’s three stops on Dua Lipa’s Future Nostalgia tour , beginning on March 15 in Denver, Colorado before hitting Tulsa, Oklahoma and Phoenix, Arizona.

Megan Thee Stallion And Dua Lipa Tease New Collaboration

Megan Thee Stallion and Dua Lipa are teaming up for a new song, and the first looks at the track are pretty sweet.

Meg took to Twitter on Sunday (March 6) to announce the collaboration, sharing a photo featuring both her and Dua's pictures plastered on colorful cakes. While the name of the track is still unknown as of Monday (March 7), Meg gave a possible hint in the tweet, simply adding the release date and a cupcake emoji. A follow-up tweet had even more photos of Meg looking sugary sweet with ice cream-inspired hair.

The new dynamic duo's collab is set to drop Friday (March 11).

Dua is currently on the road for her Future Nostalgia tour , which Meg is set to join later in the tour, per Complex . She recently surprised fans at one stop when she accidentally flung her microphone into the crowd during the a performance of her hit "New Rules."

Meg is also making career moves testing out her acting skills in her feature film debut for the new star-studded R-rated comedy called F------ Identical Twins . The film also stars Nathan Lane , Bowen Yang and Megan Mullaly .
