Very impressed by this shop. It was my first time ever going. The staff was extremely helpful and patient with all my questions. The shop was clean and well organized. The experience was better than I expected.

Very helpful young man who helped me pick out something for my fathers issues. Place is super professional, clean and you will run into nice grandmas getting their stuff. Cash only but they do have an ATM.

I would like to thank Jayden's Journey for assisting me with dosages needed for treating my prostate cancer. I figured you guys were the right place to go to because another local dispensary directed me to you based on what I was trying to do. I followed Dennis Hill's protocol, from the internet, to treat my stage 2b prostate cancer. Over the past 4 years, I had 4 biopsies and 9 PSA tests which showed a slow increase in cancer growth. I did the full 9 month treatment using your products and then had an MRI. My prostate had returned completely back to normal! It was painless and easy to do without any psychoactive effects. First time and last! Reception was pleasant but when we were called back the bud tender was impatient, rude, unprofessional, bullying, unkempt, condecending and clearly did not appreciate her job. There are a lot of hard working people out there with outstanding customer service skills. I suggest Jayden's need to find them, this place should focus on compassionate customer service. Isn't this why there are dispensaries in the first place?

Front office was ok this time considering the short haired blonde girl didnt even say a word when I came in. As a regular customer, without saying a word to her as well, I handed her my ID. This was nothing, though. Otherwise, the previous staff experience was excellent before these new people. I come here all the time so I know the drill. The blonde girl didnt know what I was talking about, first of all. Secondly, I told her I went to another place and they sold me an empty pack of joint. So I started shaking it to ensure they were, indeed, what i'm paying for. SHE BEGAN SHAKING IT FOR ME. Like who are you? I'm clearly shaking it BECAUSE I don't trust the person selling it to me. Third, without having me count how much she's putting in the bag before stapling it, I told I her I wanted to count it before she stapled it to which she replied "ok, I guess" Wtf? Then the amount she charged me now that I look at it seems much more than it originally used to be (besides the absurd amount of tax they charge; 23.5% according to my receipt) I will now travel out of city looking for quality service, but not with Jayden's Journey again because of these shady thieves.

The staff is very knowledgeable here. If they do not have the answer to a question I have, they find the answer for me. The prices are more than fair and the selection is great. I would highly recommend Jayden's Journey to anyone seeking alternative methods for medical purposes or for whatever reason you may want to purchase their top of the line products.

My absolute favorite. Great prices, amazing customer service and the product is top notch. The only place I'll go in the area. They have a customer loyalty program and give you store credit per purchase, too.

The place was cool. However the person that assisted us seemed to be in a hurry to sell us something and move on. He was not very informative and the selection was very limited. If they had more inventory and I was helped by a different associate my experience might have been better.

They didn't carry what I needed, when their inventory showed they had the product on hand.

This place was very pricey. There are better places in the city to get products than this place. I bought one full gram cartridge for almost $60. I left the store and went right back in 5 mins later to return it to go to another store but ALL SALES ARE FINAL....

Good flower and good people

Inventory is well stocked, very clean friendly atmosphere. The staff are knowledgeable and empathic to customer needs from strain,purity and selection they seem to have made it easy for me to have walked out of their with a smile on my face and well equipped for my adventure. Veteran discount is 10% but in reality they treated me above and beyond.

Jason David’s son, Jayden, was diagnosed as an infant with Dravet Syndrome, a rare form of life-long epilepsy categorized by frequent and prolonged high-intensity seizures that are often drug-resistant. Even so, by his fifth birthday, doctors had prescribed Jayden 22 anti-seizure pills per day that left him nearly immobilized. Still, Jayden continued to experience multiple daily grand mal seizures lasting over an hour that caused violent muscle contractions and temporary loss of consciousness. He also experienced less severe myoclonic seizures consistently throughout the day. As a father, Jason felt defeated, having held his convulsing son countless times since his first seizure when he was just a tiny and perfect four-month-old boy.

It’s a heartbreaking sight for anyone. And as a parent who wants nothing more than to protect their child, severe seizures are a soul-crushing experience that leaves most feeling helpless and out of control. The daily trauma pushed Jason to consider suicide, but instead, he decided to fight.

Feeling as if the doctors and medical system was failing he and his son, Jason began attending different support groups and seminars throughout the country to learn more about Jayden’s condition and how other parents supported their child’s well being. “It was eye-opening and I really learned a lot,” Jason says. “Everything comes from the autoimmune system. It’s about learning to balance the pieces because your sick kid is kind of like a broken puzzle.”

After more than four years of daily seizures, 42 times in an ambulance, and 300 shots of rectal valium to rescue Jayden from the intense full-body convulsions, Jason began researching Cannabidiol (CBD) and medical marijuana. He reviewed countless studies reporting on its ability to act as a neuroprotectant and even discovered that the Department of Health and Human Services had filed for a patent. In 2011 Jason purchased a CBD tincture from a state-licensed dispensary in Oakland – those wishing to do so online to treat their pets with CBD can visit the website here – and held onto it for two weeks before deciding to give the holistic treatment a try. “And that was Jayden’s first seizure-free day since the diagnosis,” says Jason. As his dad slowly removed the pills from Jayden’s daily routine, he began smiling, chewing, and walking. “Each time we eliminated a pill, Jayden became more human.”

With so much progress made, Jason was frantic when the same CBD brand he had purchased and administered seemed to be less effective. Confused, Jason had the product lab tested for potency and the results were unsettling. “That batch contained no CBD,” he notes.

Because of inconsistencies in dispensary products due to a lack of state-mandated regulatory testing at the time, Jason again opted to take matters into his own hands to ensure his son continued to progress via pure and quality-consistent medical marijuana. Jason began consulting Dr. William Courtney, a physician respected globally for his work in pediatric cancer treatment with cannabis. Dr. Courtney educated Jason on the medicinal properties of the cannabis plant, as well as the importance of ratios and testing.

Following continued education and a few trial and error runs, Jason began consistently producing ‘Jayden’s Juice’, a high-quality 20:1 full-plant extract. He had the batches tested at labs to ensure safety and quality prior to administering the tincture to Jayden. And each day, Jayden improved.

Jason began speaking up about his son’s success with medical marijuana at Dravet Syndrome Foundation conferences and support groups he frequented, but he didn’t receive the response he expected. “I wanted to share my story in hopes of helping other parents and kids suffering through this, but I was kicked out of various meetings in different states,” he explains. Jason was ahead of his time.

Within a year Jason and Jayden’s story received national recognition through CNN and later on Weed Wars , a documentary series. In June 2015 the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approved a cannabidiol (CBD) oral solution, produced by GW Pharmaceuticals and marketed under the drug name Epidiolex, for treatment of Dravet Syndrome, epilepsy, and Lennox-Gastaut syndrome in patients aged two years and older.

At the start of 2016, Jason opened the doors of Jayden’s Journey, a state-licensed dispensary located in Modesto. Here, all card-holding patients and the family’s of children suffering from serious illness are welcome to explore the possibilities of treatment with quality medical marijuana products. The dispensary provides not just the product, but continued support and education through monthly group meetings for pediatric patients with epilepsy and various autoimmune disorders, as well as veterans suffering from PTSD. “When a child is sick, the whole family is sick,” says Jason, a reality he himself has lived.

The production of the Jayden’s Juice Brand and the founding of the Jayden’s Journey storefront continues to provide an opportunity to spread Jayden’s story in hopes of helping other families and children who are suffering and feeling lost in the mainstream medical system.

It took nearly three years to wean Jayden off of the 22 pills doctors prescribed. It’s hard to believe that the smiling boy is the same who was held by his heartbroken father for nearly 200 seizures a day throughout the first five years of his life. Today, Jayden receives Jayden’s Juice products daily to keep seizures to a minimum and continues to have many seizure-free days.

Jayden's Journey's employees verify the age and valid proof of identification of all customers before letting them in the dispensary. Generally, no customer may enter the Jayden's Journey dispensary operations back-office area unless they have a business reason to do so and are at least 21 years of age.

Legal California Marijuana Store Sales

Generally, you will find only marijuana products at this dispensary. As a California licensed cannabis retailer, Jayden's Journey dispensary may only sell and deliver cannabis and marijuana products, marijuana accessories, and branded merchandise or promotional materials. Furthermore, Jayden's Journey will only receive marijuana products for sale from a California licensed cannabis distributor. All marijuana products offered for sale and delivery must comply with all State marijuana packaging and labeling requirements. Specifically, like most businesses with perishable goods, Jayden's Journey is not allowed to sell products to consumers that are expired. Jayden's Journey Dispensary Return Policy

Jayden's Journey storefront may or may not accept customer returns. Most States do not allow resell of returned marijuana products. For most businesses, there is a no-return policy on all flower, and customers can only return defective cartridges. Specifically, you may only have a certain amount of days to return a cartridge in its original packaging and label. Usually, contaminated products can be returned but require approval from a manager or owner. Please check the dispensary website or call (209) 581-7700 to get the most up to date information. Additionally, most customer returns are destroyed or, if defective, returned to the California licensed cannabis distributor from which they were sourced.

Marijuana Product Package Specifications

Jayden's Journey dispensary will not accept, possess, or sell marijuana products that are not already packaged for final sale to a consumer. Most dispensaries with only a retailer license will not handle raw marijuana flowers or concentrates nor package or label any cannabis goods. All marijuana products purchased or delivered to consumers leave the retail storefront in a sealed and safe package. Most Jayden's Journey marijuana products will either be in an individual child-resistant package or in a child-resistant exit package with all purchased products. Expect all Jayden's Journey marijuana packaging to be resealable, tamper-evident, and child resistant unless the product is immature marijuana plants and seeds.

Record Keeping Requirements

As a legal marijuana retailer, Jayden's Journey dispensary maintains financial records, personnel records, training records, contracts, permits, security records, destruction records, product tracking data, and an accurate record of all marijuana product sales. Depending on the State, generally they will hold these records for up to 7 years. Most importantly, all records are confidential but must be made available to the California Cannabis acting government body upon request.

One of the youngest players in all of college basketball, Quaintance will play the entirety of his freshman season at Arizona State as a 17-year-old due to reclassifying in high school. As such, he will have to spend two seasons at this level before making the jump to the NBA due to just missing age eligibility for the 2025 NBA Draft. 

Quaintance is expected to be among the top prospects in the 2026 NBA Draft. Standing at 6-foot-9 with a 7-foot-3 wingspan and sturdy frame, he’s well-developed already for his age. He plays an explosive brand of basketball, punishing the rim with ferocious dunks anytime he gets close to the basket. Quaintance is extremely physical and has the ability to dominate as an undersized center. In fact, there’s reason to believe he could play either frontcourt spot at the next level. He is a phenomenal rebounder who leverages his vertical pop well on the glass. 

The Arizona State freshman has great touch near the basket and also as a jump shooter. He may not be the most proven shooter today, but all signs point to Quaintance having the ability to knock down more jumpers in the future — even from beyond the arc. When he catches the ball in space, he has the ability to put it on the deck and attack his defender to get to the rim. Quaintance is also a good positional passer which really opens things up for his team offensively. 

On the defensive end of the floor, Quaintance will learn a lot playing against college competition at his age. He may struggle at times given the complexity of offenses he will be going up against in the Big 12. But the natural tools and physical traits are there for him on that end once he figures it out — which he has plenty of time to do. 

Again, Quaintance won’t be eligible to make his jump to the league until the 2026 NBA Draft due to his age. He was the youngest McDonald’s All-American ever, playing as a 16-year-old during that event so competing against older competition isn’t a new concept to him. While he was originally headed to Kentucky for his college experience, Quaintance ultimately decided that Arizona State was the best for him as he embarks on a unique journey to the NBA.

Over 120 days after its April premiere, Netflix has canceled The Sandman spinoff series Dead Boy Detectives . Naturally, the news has been followed by an outpouring of disappointment from the cast and crew.

Despite getting great reviews (including our hugely positive review ) and garnering a devoted following, Netflix’s Dead Boy Detectives felt doomed from its first week of streaming. The Sandman spinoff, which follows detective ghosts Edwin Payne (George Rexstrew) and Charles Rowland (Jayden Revri), had middling viewing figures, which is most likely the leading reason behind its demise.

During its first 4 days on Netflix, Dead Boy Detectives attracted 3.3 million views. This was a stretch behind Lockwood and Co ., which was canceled after one season. For reference, The Sandman had around 10 million viewers after 4 days. Fans hoped for a surprise renewal after Netflix kept the show’s fate under wraps for several months. There were positive signs, including the fact that the season 2 scripts were already being worked on . Moreover, The Sandman took a few months to score a renewal, so everyone had to be patient. But ultimately, exactly 127 days after airing, Netflix ended the series prematurely.

After the cancelation, cast and crew members shared their thoughts, feelings, and sentiments about the news.

Jayden Revri (Charles Rowland) and George Rexstrew (Edwin Payne)

Firstly, the two titular stars quickly reacted to the news. George Rexstrew (Edwin Payne) reacted on his Instagram story with just a broken heart emoji. His co-star Jayden Revri (Charles) took to X to share his disappointment while also expressing his gratitude for the opportunity:

Briana Cuoco (Jenny the Butcher)

Briana Cuoco played Jenny the Butcher, owner of the Tongue & Tail butcher shop and also Crystal and Niko’s landlord. Jenny quickly became a fan-favorite and no doubt would’ve been involved in season 2. Upon cancellation, Cuoco took to Instagram story to share a nice sentiment: 

“seeing all your comments on this announcement warms my heart so much i can’t even tell you this business has a very special way of breaking your heart. i am so proud and grateful to have been apart of this magical & wonderful show. we were all so excited to hopefully continue the journey but life had other plans. i will love this show, the people and the experience of making it forever”

Lukas Gage (The Cat King)

Lukas Gage won all our hearts as the Cat King, inspiring numerous fan-fictions and making everyone hope for a meet-up with Desire in season 2. While Gage hasn’t said too much about the cancellation, he did comment “all the good shows die young” on Instagram .

Showrunners Steve Yockey and Beth Schwartz

Showrunners Steve Yockey and Beth Schwartz deserve every bit of praise for Dead Boy Detectives . The renewal outcome may not be what we wanted, but at least we all have a fantastic season of television to enjoy. Yockey thanked fans for their devoted support… although he did urge everyone not to burn anything down. Per his Instagram story: 

Thank you to @neilhimself for believing in us. And a huge thank you to the amazing fans who loved the show, supported these characters, and are currently posting heavily online about committing arson. We love you. Please don’t burn anything down..

Beth Schwartz posted her warm sentiment on X:

Zack Ogle worked as a writers’ assistant on Dead Boy Detectives . Many fans will know him from being active on social media, rhapsodising about the show. Check out his sentiment on X:

Could the Dead Boy Detectives appear in The Sandman? 

Since Dead Boy Detectives is set in the same continuity as The Sandman , some fans wonder if we’ll see them crossover into the main show. While this remains a possibility, it’s highly unlikely. 

The only issue of The Sandman comics that features Edwin and Charles was mostly covered in Dead Boy Detectives . There are no other storylines where their appearance would make much sense. The writers might have something planned; don’t get your hopes up. 

All that’s left to say is goodbye, Dead Boy Detectives —you will be missed. Thank you to everyone involved for creating a terrific season of television. Season 1 will continue to stream on Netflix into the foreseeable future.
