10+ Best LEGO® Star Trek Sets (And MOCs)

In this article, create your.

With Star Trek being a popular choice amongst the sci-fi fanbase it isn’t surprising that people are frequently asking for LEGO® Star Trek sets. It may surprise you that

LEGO has never released even one official LEGO® Star Trek set but they license instead.

Why Are There No Official LEGO® Star Trek Sets?

The reason there have not been any LEGO® Star Trek sets released is down to licensing, the LEGO® Group does not have the license to produce Star Trek sets.

In 1999 the LEGO® Group gained the license to produce Star Wars sets, these sets have been a massive success, arguably the most popular theme LEGO® has ever released.

With this being the case, I believe all the time they are licensed to produce Star Wars sets they will continue to put all their focus, design, and production power into this ever-growing theme.

In 2013 C3Brix submitted a LEGO® MOC named “ STARTREK NCC-1701 STARSHIP ENTERPRISE ” which receive 1003 supporters but was closed with the following message on the “Official LEGO® Comments” tab.

We’ve looked into the possibility of producing a set based on this licensed property (Star Trek), and since another company has the construction toy license for this IP, we can’t pursue this further as a potential LEGO® set. We’re sorry to be the bearers of this disappointing news. – https://ideas.lego.com/

Even though this was quite a few years ago the license still remains with another company and I cannot see them wanting to give up the license anytime soon!

List of LEGO® Star Trek Sets

1. bluebrixx.

If you are not averse to trying out alternate LEGO® products you will be pleased to hear that BlueBrixx secured the license to produce Star Trek sets in July 2021.

If you weren’t aware, BlueBrixx is a German toy production company who were established in 2017.

At the time of writing this, they have 17 sets available for purchase, I cannot comment on the quality of the bricks but I can say that the sets look very detailed and well-designed.

2. Mega Bloks

Mega Bloks is a brand I was expecting most LEGO® fans to have heard of and when it comes to Star Trek sets you shouldn’t ignore them.

Are There Any Alternate LEGO® Star Trek Sets?

Yes, below we’ve displayed a list of LEGO® Star Trek MOCs for you to check out as an alternative to LEGO® Star Trek sets.

List of LEGO® Star Trek MOCs

Force of Bricks has designed 2 premium and 4 free LEGO® Star Trek-inspired MOCs.

LEGO® Star Trek MOCs From Our Website

Lego® star trek sets found online, 1. uss 1701-a enterprise by james dart.

James Dart Enterprise USS 1701-A Enterprise 2

This LEGO® Star Trek set is beautiful and would be welcomed by any Star Trek fan, careful attention has been paid to the detail of this LEGO® MOC and it was definitely worth it.

Not only does the USS 1701-A Enterprise look amazing it is also free-standing which is great when you want to sit it with your collection of LEGO® sets!

2. Galaxy Class Starship by Picardsbricks

Picardsricks - Galaxy Class Starship

This is another set that is beautifully designed, I think the most impressive part of this set is the neck of the ship.

It’s unreal how they have managed to keep the neck so thin but with it still able to support the front of the ship, this is a very impressive Star Trek MOC!

3. NCC 1701 Starship by C3Brix

C3Brix STAR TREK NCC-1701 STARSHIP ENTERPRISE

This Starship was submitted to LEGO IDEAS in 2013 but was sadly rejected due to licensing limitations.

I really love the unique way C3Brix has made the stand for this Star Trek MOC and the level of detail is perfect.

It is definitely a shame this set did not make it to the rounds and into production!

4. Space Station from Deep Space Nine by Brickfrenzy

brick frenzy - deep space nine

I was completely lost for words when I saw this Star Trek MOC, made up of over 75,000 pieces and with a diameter of 8 feet this design is absolutely crazy!

Adrian Drake (AKA Brickfrenzy) is the person behind this incredible creation and it’s not hard to believe this took him 2 years to create this masterpiece.

This space station is crammed full of details, the lights around the inside of the ring and leading to the center are a nice touch, and it really brings the set to life.

The engineering behind this set though, I mean wow… this thing is huge and must weigh a lot!

I am amazed at how Adrian has managed to make the space station self-supporting and how he has designed the top vertically curved structures to stand without snapping in the middle! Adrian Drake deserves the crown of master builder for this LEGO® Star Trek design!

Will The LEGO® Group Ever Get the Star Trek License?

I can only give my opinion on this, my thought on this is that all the time LEGO® is producing Star Wars sets you will never see a LEGO® Star Trek set for sale.

On top of this, the Star Trek license is already owned by BlueBrixx and Mega Bloks, all the time they have it I would not expect The LEGO® Group to be able to get the license even if they wanted it…

LEGO does not have the license to release official LEGO® Star Trek sets and with brands such as Mega Bloks and BlueBrixx holding the license, I wouldn’t expect one anytime soon either.

However, this hasn’t stopped LEGO® Star Trek and Sci-Fi fans from designing fanart MOCs.

If you dream of owning your own LEGO® Star Trek set I would recommend starting off with a Star Trek LEGO® MOC, you have a lot more designs, styles, and variations with these types of sets.

Don’t forget to, if you cannot find the perfect LEGO® Star Trek set you can always think about a commission-built design, if you are interested in discussing making your dream set a reality drop click here to contact us today!

The Brothers Brick

World's no. 1 source for lego news, reviews, and fan creations., incredibly accurate u.s.s. enterprise built from lego.

There are many amazing Star Trek LEGO creations out there, as can be seen in our Star Trek archives . One would expect a proportional amount of average creations in the theme, but they seem to be very scarce, as if Star Trek attracts great builders like a magnet. Today’s magnetically charged builder is Kevin J. Walter , whom you might remember as the builder of a certain huge and nearly perfect Klingon Bird of Prey .

NCC-1701-A - U.S.S. Enterprise [Refit]

The build is stunning, capturing the shape of the iconic starship (especially the saucer!) perfectly, while simultaneously packing a lot of cool details. All the complex angles are done so cleanly, one would imagine the bricks were made for them. There is a moderate amount of photoshop included as well, notably the lit windows and the deflector. And if you want to put it into some context, here is a photo of the Enterprise encountering Kevin’s Bird of Prey.

Remembering James Darren, 1936-2024

StarTrek.com honors the late actor and his contributions to the Star Trek universe.

StarTrek.com is saddened to report the passing of James Darren, who played the charismatic lounge singer, Vic Fontaine, across seven episodes for Star Trek: Deep Space Nine 's last two seasons. He passed away on September 2, 2024, at the age of 88.

Born June 8, 1936, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, as James William Ercolani, Darren knew early on he wanted a career in show business. His father would take him to local bars and nightclubs in Philly where he would get up on stage and sing a song or two.

Darren would go on to have a multifaceted career spanning film, television, and recording music. His teen heartthrob image landed him the breakout role as the leading man, the surfer/singer Moondoggie, in Gidget (1959) alongside Sandra Dee and Cliff Robertson. Following his crooner role in Gidget , which included the film's theme song, Darren would go on to record several pop hits for Colpix Records, garnering a gold record for his "Goodbye Cruel World." He would reprise the role in Gidget Goes Hawaiian (1961) and Gidget Goes to Rome (1963). Other noteworthy theatrical films during this time included All the Young Men (1960), Let No Man Write My Epitaph (1960), The Guns of Navarone (1961), and Diamond Head (1962).

Darren would soon pivot to the small screen, starring as the leading actor in the sci-fi, time-traveling series The Time Tunnel . He would continue to book guest star roles in a number of popular series such as S.W.A.T. , Police Woman , Charlie's Angeles , Police Story , Hawaii Five-O , The Love Boat , Fantasy Island , and Melrose Place , while he pursued his love of live musical performances. Darren would then try a hand at directing television episodes for series such as The A-Team , Walker, Texas Ranger , Silk Stalkings , Beverly Hills, 90210 , Savannah , and Melrose Place .

Darren would secure a regular role on the police drama T.J. Hooker , from 1983 to 1986, playing the role as Officer James Corrigan, alongside William Shatner, who shared a tribute on X (formerly Twitter) , "What a wonderful man – so talented; so loving. I had the best time with him. The world is less because of his loss."

Fans of Star Trek knew Darren best as the fan-favorite Vic Fontaine, an entertainer who ran the popular holoprogram at Quark's, Vic's Last Vegas Lounge , in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine . His warm, self-aware, and sophisticated programming made him a favorite among the crew of Deep Space 9, most notably providing Dr. Julian Bashir dating advice, and helping Nog cope with PTSD following his service in the Dominion War.

In a 2019 interview with StarTrek.com , Darren expressed, "Vic Fontaine was like – what can I say? – it was a dream come true for me. It was one of the most enjoyable roles for me to have played."

On recording the series finale with the cast, he shared, "The finale was hard to do. The cast had been there forever, so it was hard for them, and it was hard for me, too, because my relationship with everyone had grown instantly. I loved that entire cast. When it was ending, it was so sad, sad for them and extremely sad for me, too. I’d sing that song ("The Way You Look Tonight") to Nana Visitor... and she'd start crying. And when she'd start crying, I'd start crying. It was tough getting through it."

Darren is survived by his wife Evy; sons Jim Moret, Christian Darren, and Tony Darren; five grandchildren, and one goddaughter.

The entire Star Trek family sends their condolences to Darren's family, friends, loved ones, and fans around the world.

Moskva-Class Cruisers

Separate design teams often attempt to meet a set of ship specifications with completely different, although equally valid, strategies. To fulfill the requirements issued in April 2169 for the successor (NX-223) to the Daedalus class, which was introduced at the end of the Romulan War, Prosser & Ankopitch proposed a ship with an extremely large, spherical command hull attached to a nearly vestigial engineering hull. The proposal from the Mikoyan-Tupolev-Dassault Bureau used a long narrow command hull with a minimal frontal silhouette counterbalanced by an equally long engineering hull.

The engineers at Tezuka-Republic decided that the division of ship's functions between a command/crew hull and an engineering hull was arbitrary and unnecessarily restricted design options. Therefore, rather than gathering all the specified facilities in a single hull, their design TR-223A spread them across two hulls, as in Daedalus , and segregated the SSWR-IV-C warp core to a "bustle" at the extreme aft end of the secondary hull. This bustle could be separated easily and quickly from the rest of the engineering hull in the event of a warp core breach. The now-unpowered warp nacelles would then be shed. In this way, the demands of safety would be met without warp dynamics being degraded either by an excessively large frontal silhouette or by longitudinal warp field imbalance.

Although the Ship Specifications Review Board praised Tezuka-Republic for its creative solution to the problem of admittedly contradictory requirements for extreme safety and improved warp performance, they were forced to disqualify design TR-223A for not precisely meeting contract specifications. Therefore, in October 2171, construction contract NX-223 for Starfleet's new cruiser was awarded to Prosser & Ankopitch for what would become the Wasp class .

However, almost no one was happy with the new Wasp ships. Even before the contract was awarded, voices within Starfleet and within industry had strongly criticized the specifications of April 2169. These critics charged that they would lead to a mediocre, albeit safe, fighting ship. Two separate classes were needed, not a single class that was neither a proper explorer nor a proper warship. When Wasp was finally launched in 2173, her performance during precommisioning trials clearly showed that the critics had been correct. Although the performance problems were related in part to the continuing unavailability of the more powerful Tezuka-Republic Hiryu ("Flying Dragon") mark III warp nacelles, Wasp was obviously not the ship Starfleet had hoped for.

In a second attempt to obtain a reliable and capable warship, new specifications (NX-374) were issued in September 2175, little more than a year after USS  Wasp had entered service. Adding to this sense of urgency were intelligence reports suggesting that the Romulans had either developed or otherwise acquired matter/antimatter (M/AM) reactors. This time the specifications put less emphasis upon safety. The original requirement for completely separate command and engineering hulls was eliminated; instead, any hull configuration was allowed as long as the warp core could be quickly separated from the rest of the ship. Furthermore, requirements for speed, acceleration, and maneuverability both under impulse power and under warp power were increased, as were performance levels for target acquisition, tracking, and servicing.

These new specifications were a clear, albeit belated, admission that the critics had been correct all along: one class could not be expected to serve as both an explorer and a main battleship. In fact, starship technology was not considered sufficiently mature for a single ship to adequately fulfill both mission profiles until 2245, when the Constitution -class heavy cruiser was launched. (The controversy continues even today in the wake of the problems of the Galaxy -class explorer.)

Luckily, the designers and engineers at Tezuka-Republic had not been idle since their disappointing loss of the Wasp contract in 2171. Instead, they had spent their time refining design TR-223A so that their new entry (TR-374A) was markedly superior to what had been submitted 5 years earlier. In particular, the new SSWR-V warp reactor allowed the bustle to be made smaller, lighter, and even more easily separable. Therefore, it was hardly surprising when in November 2176 Tezuka-Republic was awarded the production contract over designs from Shimata-Dominquez, Prosser & Ankopitch, Mikoyan-Tupolev Dassault, Monarch R&U, and Thornycroft/Ebisu for what was to become the Moskva class.

However, engineering prowess may not have been the only factor in Tezuka-Republic's winning of the contract. There were accusations that the delay in delivery of the Hiryu warp engines was an attempt by Tezuka-Republic to prevent Wasp from reaching her designed performance levels. While no conclusive incriminating evidence has come to light, the delivery of the long-awaited engines shortly before the scheduled launch of Moskva in December 2177 is certainly suspicious. Tezuka-Republic maintains that if their submission of 2169 had been selected, its performance would also have not have met design specifications without the Hiryu engines. However, critics charge that TR-223A was not as reliant as Wasp on the type of engine used. Furthermore, once the Wasp contract was awarded, and even after Wasp was launched, Tezuka-Republic certainly made no efforts to accelerate delivery of Hiryu.

These controversies were soon rendered moot as the new Moskva class was recognized as a significant advance in starship design. The most important new feature was Moskva's discoid primary hull. Earlier designs had chosen a spherical primary hull for reasons of economy. Simple geometric relationships dictate that a spherical hull has the smallest surface area for a given volume. Therefore, construction costs are lower and shields are more efficient. Furthermore, institutional inertia had led nearly all exploratory cruisers originating until that time from the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, the United States Astronautics Agency, the United Earth Space Probe Agency, and its successor organizations to have spherical hulls.

star trek enterprise in lego

The designers of USS  Moskva employed a biconvex disc for several reasons. Their initial motive was to increase hull volume while minimizing both frontal and lateral silhouettes. A warship with large frontal and lateral silhouettes would be at a greater disadvantage in most tactical situations than would be a ship with an increased superior silhouette. However, the discoid hull allowed the traditional radial layout of command hulls to be retained.

More important than these tactical advantages were functional advantages. As was shown with the Wasp class, warp field geometry would have been awkward if a spherical hull with its relatively large frontal area had been used. The discoid hull was also found to channel warp field flow across its upper surface towards the bussard ram scoops of the warp nacelles. This channeling effect improved field efficiency at all power levels and speeds. As the understanding of warp field mechanics was refined, the trend towards saucer-shaped primary hulls would be intensified in later Starfleet vessels.

star trek enterprise in lego

In most respects, the Moskva class continued design and engineering trends established in the Comet and Daedalus classes introduced at the end of the Romulan War. As in these classes, ship functions were clearly divided between a command/crew hull and an engineering/propulsion hull. The bridge was returned to its customary position atop the command hull and the shuttlecraft bay was again placed in the secondary hull. The fusion reactor was centered along the longitudinal axis of the ship, and impulse thrust ports exited immediately in front of the warp bustle detachment seam.

Weaponry was the then-standard mix of fusion-warhead missiles and lasers. New to this class was an early type of ultraphased pulse laser cannon, two of which were mounted in the chin of the primary hull. Although the on-target energy output of this new weapon approached that of early phasers, its power requirement was higher and its range was substantially less. However, subsequent refinements lead to steady improvement and, ultimately, to the development of true phasers in 2202. Although Moskva -class ships were the first to be fitted with phasers in 2204, lasers were still carried by the Moskva class and later classes until the 2220s. Finally, warp capability was supplied by the long-awaited Hiryu mark III drive units.

The first ship of the new class, USS  Moskva (NCC-374), entered service with Starfleet in April 2179. An additional 30 ships (NCC-375 to NCC-404) joined the fleet through 2183. Moskva -class ships gained immediate popularity with officers and crews. First, total laser firepower was increased some 75% over that in the preceding Wasp class. Second, because the ship's mass was more equally distributed along the longitudinal axis than in the Wasp class, Moskva was significantly more maneuverable at both sublight and warp speeds. Finally, the more warp-dynamic design allowed greater cruising and maximum speeds.

The Moskva class had an outstanding safety record. No ships were lost because of mechanical failures. However, an incident occurred aboard USS  Johannesburg in 2186 when a faulty nacelle flow monitor falsely indicated a runaway positive feedback power loop within the plasma flow governor. Believing that a catastrophic warp core explosion was imminent, Chief Engineer Roberta Bocharnikov ordered the warp nacelles and warp bustle to be separated. Although unnecessary, these maneuvers were successful in causing the separated warp core to initiate its automatic shut-down routine. The warp core, nacelles, and the rest of the ship were towed to Starbase 13, where they were successfully re-mated. Despite her supreme embarrassment, Bocharnikov oversaw the reassembly and relaunching of Johannesburg and retained her position as chief engineer.

Although most ships of the Moskva class had left front-line service by 2215, some continued to serve as auxiliaries and training vessels until the 2240s. After retirement from active duty, Moskva -class ships were used as testbeds for many emerging technologies owing to the similarities of their layouts to those of succeeding classes. USS  Moskva was the site of the first successful ship-to-surface transport of a Human being in 2206, and USS  Gato was the first ship to fire photon torpedoes in 2214. In addition, Taurus -class tugs, which entered service in 2182, and Sanford -class repair tenders, which entered service in 2185, were derived from the Moskva class and used the same primary hull and warp drive assembly.

The Moskva -class cruiser USS  Aurora (NCC-377), a participant of the Battle of Eohippus IV, is on display at the Starfleet Museum.

One of the only ornaments to arrive for ‘Christmas in July’ was The Keeper, paying a lovely homage to the first Star Trek pilot, “The Cage.” The Keeper was the magistrate on Talos IV, and wore a necklace with a pendant that distinguished him from the other rank and file Talosians. He’s wonderfully recreated here in ornament form. The veins are nicely sculpted and painted, as is the necklace.

star trek enterprise in lego

But the real standout for me is the texture of the Talosian robe. I was worried it may look a bit flat, based on the photo on the front of the box. In person though, it looks very cool. I think it’s going to look even better when hung on a lit Christmas tree. At approximately 4.5 inches tall, he seems bigger than some of the character ornaments from years past, settling in nicely between the giant 90s era sculpts of Picard, Janeway, etc. and the much smaller sculpts of Kirk, Spock, etc. from the 2010s era.

The Keeper is available now Hallmark.com, retailing for $19.99. (Thanks to the Hallmark team for sending us out this one for today’s review.)

The second summer Star Trek  release was the ‘Nexus-Damaged’  USS Enterprise (NCC-1701-B), a convention exclusive that debuted at San Diego Comic Con at the end of July. While a more widely-available edition will arrive this October, the  Enterprise- B made this year’s slate to celebrate the 30th anniversary of  Star Trek: Generations … and I have to say, I am in love. Damage has never been more beautiful!

Seriously though, this is so nicely done. I’m still a bit haunted by the battle-damaged Enterprise -C from 2017, which looked a bit like a toddler had gotten a hold of a magic marker and scribbled on it. This time, Hallmark has gotten it so right. Just look at the scorch marks by deflector control! I’m so relieved.

Now I think I’ve said this before, but I am not a hardcore ship aficionado — so please don’t come for me if I miss an inconsistency here between the ornament and the movie version. To my adoring fandom eyes? She’s perfect. I think the glow of the nacelles is especially powerful and it will look so nice on the tree. And let’s be real, there’s no such thing as too many versions of the Enterprise on a Christmas tree. Bring ‘em, Hallmark! I want enough versions of the Enterprise to fill a full size tree.

The ‘Nexus Damaged’  Enterprise -B is a convention exclusive, so if you missed your chance to pick one up at San Diego Comic Con, there will be another shot this October at New York Comic Con — and with only 3200 pieces produced, you’ll need to resort to eBay to find one (likely at significantly marked-up prices) if you don’t make it to NYCC.

For everyone else, there will be a Spacedock-clean wide release of the  Enterprise -B ornament available October 12 through the Hallmark website for $34.99 — so if the Nexus damage isn’t that important to you, this would certainly be the easier way to bring the Enterprise -B home for the holidays.

October will also bring the rest of Hallmark’s 2024  Star Trek ornament lineup, which includes Dr. Beverly Crusher from  The Next Generation , Captain Pike from  Strange New Worlds,  ‘Spock Meets Data’ from “Unification II,” and small renditions of  Spock and the  Enterprise from  Star Trek: The Motion Picture.

What’s your favorite of this year’s Hallmark  Star Trek ornament offerings? Is there one you were really hoping for that didn’t make 2024’s lineup? Let us know in the comments below!

Every Upcoming Star Trek Movie & TV Show

Star trek: prodigy season 2 ending & shocking season 3 set up explained, i don't care if modern star trek breaks established canon.

The conclusion or cancelation of these Star Trek shows on Paramount+ puts an end to the onscreen voyages of several prominent starships. With the premiere of Star Trek: Discovery in 2017, Paramount+ (then known as CBS All Access) brought Star Trek into the modern era of streaming television. Discovery may have been met with some mixed reviews from fans, but the show proved to be a resounding success, launching another golden era for the franchise. But all good things come to an end, and Paramount+ canceled Discovery in March of 2023, announcing the fifth season would be its last.

Star Trek: Picard was only meant to last for three seasons, though the final season left fans clamoring for a spin-off. This proposed spin-off, Star Trek: Legacy, took on a life of its own, but Paramount+ has been focusing on other Trek projects. In June 2023, Paramount+ canceled Star Trek: Prodigy , removing it completely from their streaming library. Although the show found a home on Netflix for its second season, a third season remains a relatively remote possibility. Paramount+ also canceled Star Trek: Lower Decks in 2024, and its fifth and final season premieres October 24th, 2024.

Star Trek is ending series like Discovery and Lower Decks but renewed Strange New Worlds while setting up new streaming and theatrical movies.

5 USS Discovery

Star trek: discovery.

With its controversial spore drive technology , the USS Discovery is a starship unlike any other. Initially constructed to be a science vessel, Discovery became a test ship for the experimental spore drive designed by Commander Paul Stamets (Anthony Rapp). Discovery later participated in the Federation-Klingon War, eventually helping bring the conflict to an end after returning from an extended stay in the Mirror Universe courtesy of Captain Gabriel Lorca (Jason Isaacs). Throughout Discovery's five seasons, the titular ship cycled through several different captains, including Captain Michael Burnham (Sonequa Martin-Green).

During Discovery season 2, Captain Christopher Pike (Anson Mount) temporarily took over command of Discovery while the ship investigated the red bursts. After the intense battle with the evil AI known as Control, Captain Burnan led the Discovery through a wormhole to the far future. Upon arriving in the 32nd century, Discovery found what was left of Starfleet and became an invaluable asset to the struggling Federation. The 23rd century ship was updated with 32nd century technology and helped Starfleet investigate the Burn, and later the Dark Matter Anomaly.

In Discovery 's fifth and final season, the titular ship embarked on a galactic treasure hunt in search of the powerful technology of the Progenitors.

Star Trek: Discovery season 5 revealed the fate of the USS Discovery, as Admiral Burnham took the ship into deep space for its final Red Directive mission. As revealed in Star Trek: Short Treks season 1, episode 2, "Calypso," Discovery - and her sentient AI, Zora (Annabelle Wallis) - will spend the next thousand years waiting for a soldier named Craft (Aldis Hodge). It remains unclear why this particular mission requires Discovery to sit abandoned in deep space for so long, but Starfleet promised to return for the ship once the mission is complete.

4 USS Enterprise-G (Formerly The USS Titan-A)

Star trek: picard.

Under the command of Captain Liam Shaw (Todd Stashwick), the USS Titan-A proved vital in the fight to stop the Borg/Changeling threat to Starfleet. After receiving a desperate distress call from Dr. Beverly Crusher (Gates McFadden), Admiral Jean-Luc Picard (Patrick Stewart) recruited his former First Officer, Captain William Riker (Jonathan Frakes). for an impromptu rescue mission. Picard and Riker then commandeered the Titan, eventually finding themselves in an intense battle with the Changeling Vadic (Amanda Plummer) and her warship, the Shrike.

After getting trapped in a nebula and barely escaping the fight, the heavily damaged Titan limped back to Federation space, continuing their investigation into the Changeling infiltration of Starfleet. In the finale of Star Trek: Picard season 3 , the Titan-A was rechristened as the Enterprise-G in honor of Admiral Picard and the reunited Star Trek: The Next Generation crew, after they saved the day on the rebuilt Enterprise-D. The newest Starship Enterprise was placed under the command of the recently promoted Captain Seven of Nine (Jeri Ryan).

Although the Picard season 3 finale provides the perfect setup for a spin-off following the adventures of Enterprise-G, the long-rumored Star Trek: Legacy appears to be dead in space.

It remains to be seen whether audiences will ever see the adventures of Captain Seven and her Enterprise , but the ship will presumably continue Starfleet's mission of exploring strange new worlds. With Commander Raffi Musiker (Michelle Hurd) as First Officer and Ensign Jack Crusher (Ed Speleers) as a Special Counselor to the Captain, the Enterprise-G will surely have an interesting tenure. Even Q (John de Lancie) seems to be interested in at least one member of the ship's crew, as he popped in to check on Jack Crusher at the end of Picard season 3.

3 USS Prodigy

Star trek: prodigy.

After Dal R'El (Brett Gray) stumbled upon the USS Protostar at the Tars Lamora prison colony, he and his friends embarked on a series of adventures that eventually led them to Starfleet and Admiral Kathryn Janeway (Kate Mulgrew). With Janeway's help, as well as that of Captain Chakotay (Robert Beltran) and the Doctor (Robert Picardo) , Dal and his friends helped save the entire Federation. The young former crewmembers of the Protostar were then allowed to begin their Starfleet journey as cadets at the Academy.

After the success of the Protostar, Starfleet began building more Protostar-class ships, including the USS Prodigy. Equipped with a proto-drive, the Prodigy could travel considerably faster than normal warp speed, covering fast distances in a matter of seconds. When the news broke of the devastating synth attack on Mars, Starfleet scaled back their missions of exploration, focusing instead on defense. As the Prodigy was built specifically for exploration, the ship was due to be decommissioned before it even launched.

However, Janeway pulled some strings and got the Prodigy turned into a training vessel as part of a new pilot program. Janeway, Chakotay, and the Doctor then assigned Dal and the Protostar kids to the Prodigy, under the watchful eye of Hologram Janeway, acting as both an advisor and an Emergency Command Hologram. Although Dal had taken on the role of captain on the Protostar, he ceded command to Gwyndala (Ella Purnell) , choosing instead to serve as the Prodigy's First Officer. The Prodigy then departed with its young crew eager to seek out the unknown.

With the future of Star Trek: Prodigy uncertain, audiences may never see the further adventures of Dal, Gwyndala, and their crew aboard the Prodigy.

Star Trek: Prodigy season 2 brings the time travel saga of the USS Protostar full circle. Here's what happened and what it all means for season 3.

2 USS Voyager-A

After the original USS Voyager returned from its seven-year journey through the Delta Quadrant, the ship was decommissioned and transferred to the Fleet Museum. Janeway insisted that the next iteration of Voyager be equipped with state-of-the-art upgrades, including some using the technology Janeway and her crew encountered in the Delta Quadrant. In 2384, the Voyager-A embarked on its maiden voyage under the command of Admiral Janeway. Voyager's official mission was to observe the wormhole created by the destruction of the Protostar , but this was being used as a cover for the mission to rescue Chakotay.

Hidden in a secret shuttlebay on Voyager-A was a small experimental ship called the Infinity. Equipped with cloaking technology and temporal shielding, the Infinity was built specifically to travel through the wormhole and rescue Chakotay. When Dal and his friends inadvertently launched the Infinity through the wormhole too early, they significantly altered the established timeline, creating a paradox. After Dal and his crew returned with Chakotay and the Protostar, they rendezvoused with Voyager.

Janeway then commanded Voyager during the Battle of Solum, buying Dal and his crew time to launch the Protostar back into the past. After the battle, Voyager landed on Solum to initiate first contact with the Vau N'Akat. After the events of Star Trek: Prodigy season 2 , Janeway decided to retire from Starfleet, but she was soon brought back in after the attack on Mars. Captain Chakotay took over command of Voyager-A and the ship presumably joined in Starfleet's efforts to strengthen the Federation's defenses in the wake of the Mars attack.

1 USS Cerritos

Star trek: lower decks.

Under the command of Captain Carol Freeman (Dawnn Lewis), the California-class USS Cerritos participated in missions of second contact and other lower-level support missions. Because the Cerritos has been involved in several noteworthy encounters, it has gained a favorable reputation among Starfleet, with some even calling it "the Enterprise of support ships." Star Trek: Lower Decks focuses mostly on the lower-level officers aboard the Cerritos, led by Lts. Brad Boimler (Jack Quaid) and Beckett Mariner (Tawny Newsome) .

At the end of Lower Decks season 1, the Cerritos was attacked and captured by Pakled ships, but rescued by the USS Titan before its crew was forced to abandon ship. Later, when Vice Admiral Les Buenamigo (Carlos Alazraqui) set up the Cerritos to promote his new automated Texas-class ships (which would render the California-class starship largely obsolete), Captain Freeman and the Cerritos crew fought back. After the AI systems on the Texas-class ships grew dangerously unstable, the entire fleet of California-class starships joined the Cerritos to stop them.

While there have been fan campaigns for other streaming services to pick up Lower Decks for more seasons, the upcoming fifth season will be the show's last on Paramount+.

As of now, the ultimate fate of the USS Cerritos remains unknown. Star Trek: Lower Decks season 5 will presumably end in a way that could serve as a conclusion to the series, hopefully providing a glimpse into the Cerritos' future. It's possible another Lower Decks character could take over command from Carol Freeman or that the Cerritos could be called to participate in an important new mission. However the story of the Cerritos comes to an end, the ship and its crew remain one of the most fun additions to Star Trek's roster.

Photos from Moscow

On Thursday night Chris Pine, JJ Abrams, Zachary Quinto and Alice Eve attended the red carpet premiere of Star Trek Into Darkness in Moscow, Russia. The start of the film ended up being delayed due to the stars being caught in bad traffic. On top of that it was raining, so those together created a shortened time on the red carpet. But the stars did stop to take pictures with some fans and do some signing.

More red carpet with fans:

Here are some posed shots from inside the theater.

Before the film started JJ and the stars spoke to the crowd.

And some members of the Russian Fan Club put together cards that spelled out "Live Long And Prosper" on one side and "We Love You" on the other. Abrams and his actors commented on them and said he was touched by the gesture.

Paramount also had a photo call with the group in Moscow. Here are some of those photos.

Next Red Carpets: Berlin and London

Today the Star Trek Into Darkness tour went to Paris, but there was no red carpet, however JJ did meet with the press. On Monday there will be a red carpet premiere in Berlin. And on then they head to London on May 2nd for what is being called the "World Premiere" event, where they will be joined by most of the rest of the main cast (including Benedict Cumberbatch), as well as the other producers.  Following London will be an event in Mexico City and then on to the Hollywood premiere on May 14th.

What, there are Trekkies in Russia?? ;-)

Chris Pine, buddy, who needs catwomen, when you got those beautiful Russian girls. Well done, Chris. Wink-Wink Yea, baby!!!

Until now, i only knew that Russians are huge Dolph Lungren-Fans. Maybe they’ll also swallow Trek in the future.

These publicity junkets must be so tiring, but everyone seems to have happy energy! And since I have heard Alice Eve interviewed several times, I am getting rather fond of her. She sounds as devoted to the craft of acting as some of my favorite actors. Wondering if she will be back for Trek3.

Thank you Zachary for not wearing hipster Hitler hair :)

Oi, that black lace dress Alice Eve is wearing in those photos looks damn much like the dress Adele wore at her 2011 London concert and… dearest me, did I actually just write that? Time to go to sleep. Good Night!

@5 I thought the exact same thing, that she reminds me of Adele … no worries. She looks good, appears she’s eating more than spinach again :)

Yes, they’re Trekkies from all over the world. *Does the Vulcan Salute, from Jamaica, West Indies. :)

Goddam Russkies get to see the film before Americans. The world has gone to hell.

Yes Adele and Alice look so alike!! A bit similar to the Gorn and a tribble likeness. you could almost assume they were twins. Hmm

Adele and Alice look alike?

Is it me, or does Mr. Quint’s jacket look a little to small?

Great post, Tony!

And thanks again to JJ & Co for visiting us, and, of course, for awesome Star Trek movie!

“No Anton?”

Anton along with Zoe and Eric Bana were last time on Star Trek premiere.

This time we had more trekkies and that was great. The audience reaction was priceless. We all laughed, cried and applauded during the movie and that it worth to wait four years.

here in Berlin someone told me that there is a stage being build at the sony center, the place of the star trek premiere gala, which is bigger than anything before. He did not know if it will be actually for the star trek premiere but if this is the case this will be the biggest event of that kind, Berlin has ever seen!

Yes, much better. They all look very elegantly turned out. Much nicer than at that MTV thing. Though I doubt they were able to eat anything that evening in those supertight jackets.

Alice Eve always looks so beautiful.

damn! Russian Trek chicks are hot! =P

Alright, so whom do I have to blackmail in order to have our local premiere shifted from June to April? :-P

Then again, why am I surprised. This is Paramount I’m talking about, so of course they messed the whole thing up. They always do. I can’t really think of any redeeming quality they have, aside from owning the Star Trek trademark. *shrug*

Don’t Chris Pine and Alice Eve make a lovely looking couple?

The four of them look wonderful and there seems to be such a big enthusiastic audience. Oh dear, the ties again… Everyone looks better minus the tie… and I want me some Chris Pine…sigh…so gorgeous….oops…starting to drool again…oh dear…:) Loving it!

@19. I’m disgusted. Trek is an AMERICAN institution and for the first time, we have to wait while the entire world gets to see the movie premiered before WE do. This is a crime!

I thoroughly understand the fact that the bean counters want to make this movie more international and drum up the international dollars. Perhaps, we should have been first, then the international dates follow in rapid..say weekly succession.

From the few quickie reviews, it seems the movie is ho-hum popcorn movie fare, not to talk about being a stand out Trek movie. The posters with Kirk, Spock and Uhura holding guns in a Charlie’s Angels’ like pose is telling. What does vengeance by the Trek crew have to do with Star Trek? If this is the theme of the movie, this would be a shame. I would more than be glad to be proven wrong come 5-18.

We will see..

#21. On the one hand you pretty much say the movie probably is mediocre. Then, on the other hand, you whine about not seeing it ASAP versus other countries.

Sheesh, Cybil, make up your damn mind???

Exactly. I want to see it first and if it IS mediocre. :-D

@9 @11: I’m not sure whether you were referring to MY comment but I’d like to point out that I was referring solely to the DRESS… and that it was one of those observations you make when you’re dead tired and a bit drunk, like I was yesterday.

@15 Yes it is for the star trek premiere and they need quite some space to build it. Picture from Friday http://www.flickr.com/photos/94644037@N07/8685766908/in/photostream/

Zach’s Hair looks totally sharp! Would have looked even more sophisticated with a clean shave ;)

Man are there going to be a lot of people mad about this movie when it comes out.

If you thought hardcore Trek fans hated the first movie then you ain’t seen nothing yet.

Nah, Chris Pine and Zach Quinto are a much more lovely looking couple…it’s amazing how much they look like each other….

#19. Paul – April 27, 2013

Well, they don’t even own that, so that slate is clear for you.

Then you obviously haven’t watched a lot of Trek. There are a LOT of story lines involving revenge.

#30. CoffeeProf – April 28, 2013

Pray tell, out of over 700 scripts filmed what percentage involved Federation crew vengeance that you consider a LOT?

TV shows and movies aren’t connected. In the movies revenge has played a role in a lot of the movies and it was the main focus in quite a few.

How can anyone who is upset or ‘disgusted’ about other countries getting an early premier call themselves a Star Trek fan??? Star Trek is not YOURS, it is the collective OURS of the world. Gene emphasized in the original show that by that time we’d be working together harmoniously. You’re going to see the damn movie so calm down. America is not the only place with Trek fans and usually, the ones outside of this country arent thrown a bone (gotta admit, I do want the JJprise model that’s only going to be sold overseas :)) But really, it’s a studio issue about trying to have the film make more money than it did previously and before you get on a soapbox about how Trek isnt a cash cow, um how else do you think Trek gets to be around? Enterprise was cancelled because of money. The late 90s boom of new Trek was because of the money that TNG produced. So lets get real and dial down the anger to outsiders. Trek is for all of us.

#32. Anthony L. – April 28, 2013

In the Trek franchise, that’s just not true. For example In TV episode SPACE SEED, and film TWOK, the Khan character is connected and even played by the same actor who admits that he was recapturing what he did to create the character for the film.
