What To Expect From Sabrina Carpenter's Short n' Sweet Tour

The singer will be serving up “Espresso” at arenas across North America.

Sabrina Carpenter will be working late a lot this fall —  ‘cause she’s on tour . On June 20, the singer announced her 2024 tour, in promotion of her upcoming sixth studio album, Short n’ Sweet . While she’s traversed the U.S. many times prior, notably making her Coachella debut in April, this marks her first time headlining arenas.

The Short n’ Sweet Tour kicks off in Columbus, Ohio, on Sept. 23, just a few weeks after the release of her new album, and will take Carpenter to many cities across the U.S., including iconic venues like New York’s Madison Square Garden. The trek is currently scheduled to culminate in Los Angeles on Nov. 15, with international dates yet to be confirmed.

Given the immediate success of the album’s first two singles, “Espresso” and “Please Please Please,” the latter of which is projected to become her first Billboard number-one hit, tickets are likely to sell out quick. Read on for everything you need to know about Carpenter’s Short n’ Sweet Tour.

One Of The Opening Acts Will Be On Eras Tour

Carpenter chose a selection of up-and-coming artists to join her on the road. R&B sensation Amaarae will help her kick off the tour, supporting shows from Sept. 23 to Oct. 14. “Thank u 4 having me beautiful see u on the road soon,” she wrote on X (formerly Twitter).

British singer-songwriter Griff, who is also opening for one of Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour dates like Carpenter did in 2023, will join the tour from Oct. 16 to 30. “This is going to be the most fun,” she wrote on X . “I hope you're ready. Thank you, sweet Sabrina.” British indie artist Declan McKenna will help Carpenter finish out the U.S. leg from Nov. 1 to 15.

Top Listeners Can Get Special Tickets

The general public sale for Carpenter’s Short n’ Sweet Tour takes place on Friday, June 28. However, some fans will be able to partake in presales a few days prior, and unlike the Eras Tour, you won’t have to register for Ticketmaster’s Verified Fan program this time.

CashApp cardmembers will have access to a presale on Monday, June 24, while other fans are able to sign up for the Team Sabrina presale on June 25 by RSVP-ing to a maximum of three preferred dates on Carpenter’s website .

In addition, Carpenter teamed up with Spotify to create the first-ever Top Listener Fan Pit as part of the tour’s seating chart, with tickets going to her top listeners on the streaming platform. Three VIP packages will also be available , which include perks like premium tickets, VIP early entry, exclusive merch, and a pre-show party at the venue.

I attended the Sabrina Carpenter concert in Cologne, Germany (21st May 2017). I bought the VIP package with meet and greet.

I came for one and a half hour earlier to the venue and there was already a long line. It was really amazing to talk with the other fans. We also sang Sabrina songs together to make the waiting more fun. All in all the waiting itself was a good experience :-)

We had to build a line for the meet and greet . Sabrina is the most beautiful, humble and talented person I know. She was really sweet and it was great to talk to her. We made some selfies and a professional photo, which I could download a couple days after the concert.

One of the best experiences was to hear her acoustic performance of 3 songs. It was in separate area. She has such a powerful voice - it was incredible. She interacted with the audience and she was also very impressed how good we knew the lyrics of her songs and how loud we sang together with her.

After that I somehow managed to get right in front of the stage. After all VIPs had find their spot people with "normal" concert tickets were allowed to come in. The show started with a supporting act. He sang for about half an hour.

Sabrina sang for about one and a half hour. I love how she interacted with the crowd and how she made us feel to be part of the concert. She also tried to talk to us in German :-). It was the best concert I ever attended. I really hope she comes back soon. If you have the opportunity to see Sabrina live - just do it, you won't regret.

The only negative thing was that some parents stand right in front of the stage too so that people especially small children had really problems to see anything. I didn't have these problems (because I was front row) but I know some had really problems to see the performance. Maybe this can be organized better for futur concerts. Other parents just enjoyed the concert in back. I think the parents in the front row should have done this too.

The show was top notch. Sabrina is a phenomenal talent and she truly loves what she's doing. The crowd sang every song with her. The only issue had nothing to do with her but with some of the adults there. They basically refused to allow some of her young fans to be able to stand close to their idol and enjoy the show properly. Several young girls were forced from the front by these adults to the back in tears. This is not only extremely sad but completely uncalled for. These adults (like myself) were there to enjoy the show (yes Sabrina has fans of all ages, young and old alike, deal with it). There's nothing wrong with wanting to enjoy the show. There is, however, everything wrong with treating her young fans like crap and acting like a bunch of entitled, spoiled brats! To those so-called adults (and you know who you are) GROW UP!!!! Fortunately, I was able to help out a couple of the girls with finding a fairly decent viewing point so they could enjoy the show anyhow. Sabrina is a class act on every level. Those adults could learn a thing or two from her. Well done Sabrina. Congratulations on your first tour and all your success. You've earned and deserve every single bit of it. For me it was money well spent.

The concert itself was fantastic.

New Hope and Alex Aiono were very good and Sabrina is a solid entertainer for such a young individual.

Her shows are always packed with energy and her outfits are great.

The wait before was horrendous!!

The venue was not only chaotic, no one knew what was happening.

VIPS for Sabrina were in Alex Aiono's line and vice versa, and regular ticket holders were told to stand behind the VIPs.

I was upset about this as well, because I never received any notification that meet and greets were available. I purchased tickets almost immediately after they went on sale, and the meet/greets were not even offered!

Anyhow, after being pushed around to 3 different lines (from 3:30PM to 6:30PM), being that no one knew exactly where the lines were, the show was late.

Standing in the 90 degree humid weather, near the tour buses that were emitting more heat and exhaust, it was pretty unbearable.

Doors were supposed to open at 6 for seating, but that was delayed by at least a half hour with the simple explanation of Sabrina was being especially "chatty" with the VIPs and she created the delay.

The delay and wait prior to the concert was uncomfortable and not necessary.

Omg it was the most amazing concert I've ever been to!! I totally would recommend a Sabrina Carpenter concert for people of all ages and even for people who don't know her! My mom drove me to Darien lake and almost fainted just so I can see her in concert! I love Sabrina so much she's my idol and I look up to her a lot!! My favorite part of her concert was that she involves the crowd into her concert and in parts of her songs. She interacts with the crowd and just has a great time up on stage dancing and moving around, she looks so natural up on stage and that's only one thing that she's great at and one reason why I love her!! The crowd goes crazy for her and they love her and she's loves all of her fans back! I wish I got a vip meet and greet pass to meet my idol and make my dream come true but I got the preferred seating and I had the best time of my life. Just being there made me feel so happy and to eventually watch her grow and mature in her voice is something that I'm really excited for on top of her many albums to come! I'm will definitely go and see her again!! LOVE YOU SABRINA!!

The concert was absolutely stunning and amazing! She kept us engaged during the concert by letting us sing certain parts of the songs and got us hyped up when she asked us to get off our seats to jump with the music!! Sabrina even made us work out with her by shaking our limbs progressively faster in the middle of the concert. Most importantly, her vocals were absolutely melodic and exactly like what I heard on YouTube, just simply raw talent!

The audience was also very good as no one was really pushing one another to get to the front etc. and everyone was just singing and cheering along to your lovely music!

Once again, thank you for coming to Singapore to perform and I really appreciate it! I hope that you can fulfil your promise of coming here again, especially when you release Singular Act 2!

p.s. Please release it soon, I'm dying to hear the rest of the album ever since you released Pushing 20 and unofficially Exhale.

I loved the concert last night! It was my first real concert and I loved it! Sabrina Carpenter is my favorite artist/singer and when I found out that she was coming to town I immediately asked my parents to go. I loved to choice of songs and the videos that played in the background; my dad especially loved the coordination of the videos. However, I wish some more songs from the "Eyes Wide Open" album, but still loved the songs. The two outfits were fabulous and awesome! I loved the lighting, too. I have listened to Sabrina Carpenter's music since "Can't Blame a Girl for Trying" came out. I watched Disney channel mainly because "Girl Meets World" was on the channel. My favorite song of Sabrina Carpenter is "Eyes Wide Open," it has always been my favorite song ever and always will be. I know every lyric to almost all of her songs and I love her music. It was a great experience to watch her and her band in concert.

This was one of the best shows I’ve attended. Maggie Lindemann, the opening act, sounded very good and got me hyped for the show. Sabrina came out with amazing energy, dancing and singing her heart out the entire show. She sounded phenomenal, and I was extremely excited. The highlight of the night was when I held up my sign and Sabrina read it out loud before Prfct, which is awesome especially because the sign read “Sabrina, ur Prfct to me, we love you”. That meant so much to me that she read it. Overall, this show was infinity stars/5 and I can’t wait for her to come back.

The venue was GREAT! Very personable and enough space to where we didn't feel over crowded!

My daughter Abby had the time of her life! Sabrina mentioned her poster since this was her bday present! She has been BEAMING ever since last night! The band that opened was great too! Interacting with their fans with pictures! Abby will also remember that forever! She said citizen four will be bigger than One Directon! Love the enthusiasm of a soon to be 14 year old! Haha

Sabrina's concert was so amazing! I was right next to the stage and it wasn't too loud. The sound, lights, FX, and the entire experience was amazing. She made sure that her fans knew she cared and appreciated us. Sabrina has amazing stage present and is so humble and kind in person. It was a huge relief knowing that it was live. Sabrina is truly a gifted individual and I will be attending another one of her concerts in the future.

Sabrina Carpenter is circling back. On Dec. 13, the star announced more dates for her ongoing North American emails i can’t send tour. The tour, which is named after Carpenter’s fifth studio album of the same name, kicked off on Sept. 18., and Carpenter wrapped the first leg on Oct. 16. Now, she’s hit reply all and officially extended the tour and added a few more attachments.

On Dec. 12, Carpenter announced she’s stopping in more cities this round: 36, to be specific. Her tour has proven to be a hit, just like her album. Sabrina Carpenter – ‘Short n’ Sweet’ review: a new pop princess ascends

Full creative control looks good on the pop star, who swings for the big leagues on her sharp and saucy sixth record

In the past, it was sometimes hard to work out who Sabrina Carpenter was. Her early albums, like 2015’s ‘Eyes Wide Open’ and its 2016 follow-up ‘Evolution’, presented a young pop star trying to find her groove but instead getting lost in the trends of the time. It wasn’t until 2022’s ‘Emails I Can’t Send’ – Carpenter’s fifth album, but also the first where she had full creative control – that her pop personality started to crystallise, evident in the coy cheek of ‘Nonsense’ and the addictive strut of ‘Feather’.

In the two years since that record was released, Carpenter has finally become a bona fide pop icon in the making. Her explicit, viral ‘Nonsense’ outros , tailored to the city she was performing in, endeared her to hordes of new fans. ‘Espresso’, the quip-heavy first single from her latest record ‘Short n’ Sweet’, was inescapable this summer. A supporting run on Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour , a solid Coachella appearance and a headline-grabbing relationship have all boosted her profile even more.

As ‘Short n’ Sweet’ arrives, then, it feels like the 25-year-old singer is at something of a turning point. Keep Carpenter’s musical calling cards, justify the hype, and she’ll soon be levelling up to major festival headliner – and this record largely gets the job done.

Sassy, flirty lines and lyrics that put Carpenter’s romantic partners in their place are the order of the day here. “I know you’re not the sharpest tool in the shed,” she sings gently on ‘Sharpest Tool’. “We had sex, I met your best friends / And then a bird flies by and you forget.” Moments later, on the twanging ‘Coincidence’, she rolls her eyes at a lover failing to hide that he’s crawling back to his ex: “What a surprise, your phone just died / Your car drove itself from LA to her thighs.”

On the sparse acoustic strum of ‘Dumb And Poetic’, she eviscerates someone who tries “to come off like you’re soft and well-spoken / Jack off to lyrics by Leonard Cohen”. Sometimes, the star switches things up and puts herself in the self-deprecating crosshairs, as on the countrified ‘Slim Pickins’. “This boy doesn’t even know the difference between there, their and they are / Yet he’s naked in my room,” she sighs.

Musically, Carpenter mostly finds that niche she’s been searching for, getting comfortable in a country-pop groove on the likes of ‘Coincidence’ and ‘Please Please Please’ , or nailing frothy pop bops like ‘Taste’ and ‘Juno’. Her individuality occasionally feels a little diluted, the likes of ‘Good Graces’ and ‘Bed Chem’ moulded in Ariana Grande ’s image. For the most part, though, who Sabrina Carpenter is has never been clearer – and her long-awaited, hard-earned climb to pop’s summit should continue with ease.

Sabrina Carpenter and Jenna Ortega's X-rated music video is so graphic it comes with a warning

The pop star's latest music video is unbelievably gory yet incredibly funny.

'Rock-a-bye-baby snug in your bed, right now you are sleeping and soon you'll be dead'.

That is how Sabrina Carpenter opens up her music video for her new song 'Taste', part of her Short n' Sweet album released on Friday (August 23).

The 25-year-old pulled out all the stops for her latest hit as 21-year-old actor Jenna Ortega , best known for her starring role as Wednesday Addams in the hit TV show Wednesday, makes a guest appearance.

Let's get into it.

The first thing we see in the video is a warning, which isn't very Carpenter is it?

It read: "PARENTAL ADVISORY AND VIEWER WARNING: The following video contains explicit content and depicts graphic violence which may be offensive to some viewers. Viewer discretion is advised."

Then as the 25-year-old sings her own wild rendition of rock-a-bye-baby, we see guns, knives, handcuffs and even a teddy blindfolded on her bed.

And then the hilarity comes, as the X-rated video is so gory and violent and follows an apparent war between Carpenter and Ortega... and people believe it may have something to do with the pop star's ex, Shawn Mendes.

But why is do people think it relates to him?

Well, Carpenter was in an alleged love triangle with Mendes and Camila Cabello early last year.

In March 2023, while Carpenter thought the pair were dating, Mendes publicly said they weren't and then a month later was seen supposedly 'hooking up' with Cabello - with the two of them having dated previously.

Listening to the lyrics, you can understand the connection. Carpenter sings: "I heard you're back together and if that's true, you'll just have to taste me when he's kissin' you, if you want forever, I bet you do, just know you'll taste me too."

The music video, and song, is all about two girls fighting over a guy - so it all checks out really, we just need Carpenter to speak out about it!

When they first encounter each other, Carpenter sneaks into Ortega's room with a cleaver and begins trying to murder her while she sleeps, but as feathers fly in the air, she realises Ortega isn't there.

She appears from behind the door with a shotgun and blows Carpenter off the balcony, with the 'Espresso' singer humorously falling the first floor onto a fence.

And it just continues with blood, bullets, petrol, fire and a very bewildered boyfriend .

It comes to an end when Ortega, in a fit of rage, takes a chainsaw to Carpenter's midriff not realising it is her boyfriend.

Sabrina Carpenter Gets Interviewed on the Street by TikToker Who Doesn’t Know Who She Is

Sabrina Carpenter was stopped on the streets of New York City for an interview — and the TikToker conducting it didn’t know who the hitmaking pop star was.

At the beginning of the video uploaded on Saturday, August 24, Carpenter, 25, walked on the sidewalk while waving to fans. The TikToker, whose name is Judi Jupiter , followed behind the Eras Tour opener and filmed as Carpenter took snaps with admirers.

“What’s your name?” Jupiter asked Carpenter, who responded, “Sabrina. What’s your name?”

Instead of giving a moniker, Jupiter encouraged Carpenter, “Say hi to my followers,” which Carpenter responded to by gamely waving at the camera. As Jupiter began to walk behind Carpenter again, the singer turned around to ask whether the TikToker was “on live.”

When Jupiter replied that she was streaming the interaction, Carpenter raised her eyebrows and replied, “Oh, this is so cool. What’s your account?”

After giving out her username, Jupiter explained that her account focuses on “really cool people” in Manhattan’s SoHo neighborhood.

“All the hot girls in Soho, and in Fire Island,” Jupiter said, to which Carpenter replied, “Oh! I feel honored.”

Jupiter praised Carpenter for being “spectacular” and proceeded to ask “did you just come out with an album?”

“It’s called Short n’ Sweet ,” Carpenter said, while Jupiter asked, “By?”

Carpenter replied with a laugh, “Sabrina Carpenter. Me.”

As the conversation continued, Jupiter asked Carpenter for her social media accounts. “It’s just my name, my channel is just @SabrinaCarpenter. You can go check out some of my work and I hope you like it,” the singer answered.

Jupiter, seemingly oblivious to Carpenter’s stardom, concluded the interaction by asking Carpenter to greet her followers again. “Hi to your followers,” Carpenter said. “I’m obsessed with you, honestly.”

There’s never been a pop-girl summer anything like 2024 — ever — and Sabrina Carpenter is one of the crucial reasons why. With “Espresso” and “Please Please Please,” she can claim two prime Song of the Summer contenders. But she caps off her amazing ascendance with Short n’ Swee t, her full-on coronation album, flaunting her knack for turning romantic roadkill into flippantly brilliant pop. Sabrina’s give-a-fucks aren’t just on vacation — they’re in a coma. These songs are usually filthy, always funny, often mean, yet she roasts herself along with everyone else. As she admits, “I can make a shitshow look a whole lot like forever.”

“Espresso” and “Please Please Please” are two of the highlights, but they’re not even the best tunes here. That honor goes to the future karaoke classic “Lie to Girls,” with Carpenter lamenting over acoustic guitar, “You don’t have to lie to girls/If they like you, they’ll just lie to themselves.” She mourns the romantic self-delusions of her mother, her friends, even “the girl outside the strip club getting her tarot cards read.” (The funniest tarot burn since Joni Mitchell went to Bleecker Street on Hejira to watch eighteen bucks go up in smoke.) Carpenter released a stripped-down rendition of the 2012 hit for Spotify Singles before getting back on the road with Swift next month

Sabrina Carpenter is reimagining one of her superstar touring mate's biggest hits.

The "Nonsense" singer-songwriter, 24, released her own stripped-down cover of Taylor Swift 's "I Knew You Were Trouble" as part of the Spotify Singles series on the streaming service — ahead of returning to the Eras Tour as its opening act next year.

Carpenter's rendition of the hit Red album cut features simple acoustic instrumentation and her warm vocals — a far cry from Swift's EDM-influenced original version.

Also included in the former Girl Meets World star's Spotify Singles package is a new version of her recent single "Feather," which is elevated with live production but remains relatively faithful to the original, released earlier this year on the deluxe edition of her album Emails I Can't Send.

Carpenter performed as the opening act for Swift's Eras Tour shows in Mexico over the summer. She'll continue supporting the "All Too Well" musician, 33, at her concerts in Argentina and Brazil next month, as well as next year in Asia and Australia.

The Work It actress has been a longtime fan of Swift's and covered her 2008 song "Picture to Burn" in the very first YouTube video ever uploaded to her account the following year.

In 2010, Carpenter wrote about attending one of the Grammy winner's shows on X (formerly Twitter). “The Taylor Swift concert was amazing, had so much fun I can’t wait to have a world tour someday like hers!” she wrote at the time, later resharing the post  in June 2023 when she was announced as the opener for the Eras Tour, calling the opportunity a “dream come true.”

Ahead of their first shows together, Carpenter spoke with  Rolling Stone  at Lollapalooza and revealed her three favorite Swift albums. "1989  was a very special one for me, I would say  Midnights  and probably  Folklore ,” she told the publication.

Carpenter also discussed how excited she was to go on tour with Swift and learn from her as an artist. “Watching her is a masterclass in itself,” she said about the “Cardigan” singer. “Obviously, she’s very good with words. So I feel a lot more comfortable that I’m going into a situation with someone that I admire so much and I’m just gonna, like, study.”

Earlier this month, as  Swift cheered on Travis Kelce  during the Kansas City Chiefs game on Oct. 1, she had a handful of celebrity friends by her side, including Carpenter. The singers were seen sharing a hug as they made their way inside MetLife Stadium.

Say you can’t sleep? Sabrina Carpenter knows. That’s that her espresso.

The 25-year-old pop sensation’s smash hit of the summer, “Espresso” — with its grammatical mystery of an earworm line, “That’s that me espresso” — gave listeners a taste of her newest album, “Short n’ Sweet.” The former Disney Channel actor’s sixth studio album follows an explosive year marked with successes, from opening for Taylor Swift on her Eras Tour to performing at Coachella.

She’s confident, she’s radiant, and she’ll air out all your dirty laundry in a breakup song if you wrong her.

In the flirty, fun and wholly unserious “Short n’ Sweet,” Carpenter’s soprano vocals take humorous jabs at exes and drop innuendos with an air of cheeky innocence. Sugary songs like “Taste” and “Juno” incorporate enough NSFW references to have listeners blushing almost as much as the rosy-cheeked singer.

There’s a country twang to some tracks, like “Slim Pickins,” an acoustic number bemoaning the difficulties of finding a good man and having to settle for a guy who “doesn’t even know the difference between ‘there,’ ‘their’ and ‘they are.’”

Carpenter shows a more vulnerable side with ballads like “Dumb & Poetic” and “Lie to Girls,” in which she drops her carefree front to sing unguarded lyrics airing out grievances against an ex.

“Don’t think you understand,” she sings in “Dumb & Poetic.” “Just ’cause you act like one doesn’t make you a man.”

But it’s when pop tracks blend into R&B that Carpenter really shines. Her breathy vocals work so well on such tracks as “Good Graces” and “Don’t Smile,” reminiscent of Ariana Grande or Mariah Carey.

Which direction will she take next? Only Carpenter knows. Isn’t that sweet? Carpenter guesses so. That is, after all, that her espresso.

“Are you on live?” Sabrina Carpenter asked Judi Jupiter, a stranger filming her on a Soho street in New York City on Friday (Aug. 23), the release day of her new album Short n’ Sweet .

The “Taste” singer raised her eyebrows high and widened her eyes when she got the answer: “Yeah.”

“This is so cool. What’s your account?” asked Carpenter, curious enough to start coming up with the questions.

“Judi with an ‘I’ Jupiter,” Jupiter said.

“What kind of content do you–“

“I do really cool people in Soho. All the hot girls in Soho, and in Fire Island,” said Jupiter, who’d spotted Carpenter as she stopped for quick photo opps with fans passing by.

“Oh! I feel honored,” said Carpenter, seemingly fascinated by Jupiter. As it turns out, she should be: Judi Jupiter was part of the late ’70s nightlife in Manhattan, at go-go bars and the famed Studio 54, where she says she became an in-house photographer.

The next part of their unplanned convo on Friday in New York went like this:

“You’re spectacular. Did you just come out with an album?”

“I did. Today.”

“What’s the name of it?”

“It’s called Short n’ Sweet .”

“By?”

“Sabrina Carpenter. Me.”

Jupiter, as though she was discovering a new talent to share, later suggested Carpenter “say hi to my followers.”
