Your complete guide to Club 1 Hotels — including free Gold Rewards subscription for TPG readers

Ashley Onadele

Since we write about travel basically every single day here at TPG, we're often asked which is the best website to use if you want to save money on hotel bookings. The truth is, there isn't one "best" site. There are different answers for different situations: Do you have access to Amex Fine Hotels & Resorts perks ? Do you need to earn/use elite status perks ? How far in advance are you booking? Is it last minute? Where are you going? Which credit cards do you have? Are you sure you aren't using points or free night certificates?

In short, there simply isn't one, single hotel booking site for all situations — but there are a few sites that we recommend checking to quickly get a handle on the best prices.

One of the hotel booking sites we've utilized as a resource for the last few years is Club 1 Hotels . Club 1 Hotels offers access to wholesale rates at more than 1.5 million hotels around the world, and the site can offer as much as 60% off published prices. And to sweeten the deal even more, the company has its own loyalty points program to add to the mix — along with a special offer for a free, one-year Gold Rewards subscription, just for TPG readers who join through this link .

Let's dive into Club 1 Hotels to see how the site may fit into your post-pandemic travel plans.

How Club 1 Hotels offers discounts on hotels

Club 1 Hotels is a leading travel company with the world's largest collection of members-only wholesale hotel rates and direct contracts that are not available to the public. This allows the site to offer its users steeper discounts than other online travel agency sites in certain situations.

While the only way to see what's available is to check for yourself, at times we've found Club 1 Hotels to have the lowest available price at some of the Hyatt all-inclusive properties, including the Hyatt Ziva Cancun — which comes highly recommended from TPG's Summer Hull .

In doing a quick search for values on Club 1 Hotels, we found a good deal on the Ritz-Carlton, Cancun . Checking dates in July, the Club 1 Hotels price for an ocean view room with two beds was $236.23 per night versus Ritz-Carlton's own member rate of $490 per night for the same room. That's a pretty steep discount if you're just looking for a great price without the perks of Marriott status or the opportunity to earn Bonvoy points .

What does a subscription cost?

Club 1 Hotels has recently removed its previous paid membership requirement, so now anyone can easily register and access savings — all while still earning ClubONE loyalty points. But if you'd like to earn more points and utilize other features such as concierge service and airport lounge subscription, you have the following options to upgrade your membership:

  • $149 per year Annual Concierge Service Subscription: In addition to a personalized concierge service, users can also choose either 5% back in ClubONE points on every hotel booking or the Best Rate Guarantee on every hotel booking, all year.
  • $149 per year Gold Loyalty Subscription: Users will earn 5 ClubONE points for every $1 USD spent on hotels, resorts and car rental bookings — and TPG readers can sign-up for a one-year Gold membership at this link .
  • $199 per year Platinum Loyalty Subscription: Users will earn 10 ClubONE points for every $1 USD spent on hotels, resort and car rental bookings.
  • $79 per year Airport Lounge Subscription upgrade : Users who choose to upgrade to an airport lounge subscription will have access to over 1,200 lounges in 500 cities across 140 countries. This category of upgrade also comes with a $30 credit for large-luggage shipping worldwide from LuggageFree.

Note that we currently have a special offer just for TPG Readers to receive a complimentary Gold-level subscription when registering for a new account. Existing members can use this link to receive the complimentary upgrade.

If you decide not to get a paid subscription, you will still earn 2 ClubONE loyalty points for every $1 USD spent — which can be used for future bookings on the site.

For those who like Disney like, know that Club 1 Hotels even has access to Disney World Resorts — and yes, they are sometimes cheaper via Club 1 Hotels than booking through Disney. We haven't personally booked a Disney Resort through Club 1 Hotels, so we can't speak to the process of linking the booking to your My Disney Experience, but it is worth checking to see if you might be able to save a few dollars on your next Disney Resort booking. Plus, Club 1 Hotels offers discounts on Disney theme park tickets, attractions and more.

There are booking fees when using Club 1 Hotels, so be sure you're comparing apples to apples by looking at the all-in prices at checkout from different sites.

Look for non-points luxury resorts, home rentals and rental cars

If you have your heart set on a hotel/resort stay at a property that isn't part of a points program, Club 1 Hotels could be your conduit to savings. For example, you'll find properties from high-end hoteliers like Aman, Four Seasons, Belmond, Mandarin Oriental, Six Senses , Shangri-La and others.

club 1 travel

Club 1 also has a database of over 175,000 serviced apartments, homes, villas and other residences in some of the world's most popular destinations. Depending on your travel plans, this could be a great alternative to other vacation-rental sites.

Finally, if you're in the market for a rental car , sort options from Alamo, Avis, Budget, Hertz, National, Sixt and others.

When to skip Club 1 Hotels

There are certainly times and reasons to not use Club 1 Hotels. For example, if you need to earn credit toward elite status or want to utilize the perks of existing hotel elite status, that's not the time to use the site. In those cases, book directly with the hotel chain .

There are also times when Club 1 Hotels won't have the hotel you want, or it will cost more than booking directly (though they do have a Best Rate Guarantee — which we'll get to in a minute).

Nevertheless, it always makes sense to investigate the booking options for your travel dates to see if Club 1 Hotels will fit your plans.

Club 1 Hotels Best Rate Guarantee

While no site always has the best rates, Club 1 Hotels does have a Best Rate Guarantee . If you spot a lower rate at the same hotel with the same room type (refundable and non-refundable) up to one day prior to arrival, Club 1 Hotels will beat that rate with the following discounts:

  • $10 per night savings at 3-star hotels up to $20
  • $15 per night savings at 4-star hotels up to $45
  • $20 per night savings at 5-star hotels up to $60 or up to $100 on reservations of $900+

To make a Best Rate Guarantee claim, email [email protected], and they state they will confirm your booking the same day.

Finally, it's worth noting that the Club 1 Hotels website is better than it was a few years ago. We can definitely see that they've made a lot of improvements and added some new features to enhance the user experience.

Bottom line

Finding the best deals in travel is about having lots of different tools at your disposal. One of those tools is having a list of websites to check when you need to book a hotel with cash, and in out mind, Club 1 Hotels should be on the list of sites to check ( here are some other tools ). They aren't a one-size-fits-all solution, but with a free one-year Gold Rewards subscription, they are certainly worth a look.

First time using Club1 to book a hotel for a family vacation. I would definitely use this website again because it was quick and so very easy. I got a confirmation right away sent to my email. When we arrived at our hotel we had zero issues. Nothing beats peace of mind when you’re away from home.

Web Navigation and Searching Experience

I signed up Club 1 Hotels recently and recipe nice promotional bonus points. The website is easy to navigate despite only little bit slow to load the price. The hotel selection is great with better deals. They also offered occasional promotions for the hotel stay, which I found quite attractive.

Used Club 1 Hotels when I booked my 5 star hotel to Sydney, Australia. Got an amazing deal to stay at this hotel which I probably wouldn't have booked if it wasn't for this deal. Everything from reservations to check in went smoothly. And the hotel was absolutely worth it. Great room overlooking Sydney Hyde Park and spacious. Really happy with the ease and results of using Club 1 Hotels. Will definitely continue to use them for all my traveling needs.

Some great deals

I was not aware of Club 1 until my credit card subscription provided it as its partner. I was very glad to book two excellent deals for our upcoming family trip that we are organising. A hotel booking in better price and terms than what the hotel itself or other popular platforms were offering as well as a very good airport transfer. Looking forward to my trip now!

Club1Hotels many good experiences in 2023…

I used Club1Hotels many times in 2023 both for personal and professional travels in USA, Europe and China, each time I got a better deal than on any other websites and sometimes the difference was big. My last travel was in November and I booked my Hotel in Shenzhen for a crazy low rate

An incredible deal

Wow - I had found a Tesla car for 3 weeks for only around £700 for the whole period - and no electricity charge added. Actually less than £700 as it was paid with a discounted Club1 voucher.

Great company

Great company, Great investors, it's only when a company serves her investors with truthfulness and reliability that it may produce great investors. This awesome company has been making thousands of people millionaires every year according to the company's info. At first I doubted, but at a point I decided to give them a trial and here I am now sharing my testimony. You too can benefit from this same company from anywhere around the world, you only have to contact one of the company manager person like MRS CAMILA JOSEPH to help you grow your investment capital within a week, contact her via, WhatsApp:+1 (320) 321-6858

I was a little hesitant at first. However, right after booking I received a reservation request & shortly after I received confirmation. I also spoke with the hotel directly to confirm that everything was correct. They don't have a phone number, but answer emails in a very timely manner with efficient responses. Oh, I also saved money using their site! Highly recommend.

Great Customer Service

We have booked two vacations through club 1 so far. The discounts made their nightly price lower than any i found elsewhere. They even have a number to text for customer service and a real person responds straight away. Looking forward to booking all our travel through Club 1!

I was a bit suspicious but decided to buy a large value voucher. I used a part of that voucher to book a car in Los Angeles Airport and was amazed that I got a Hertz owned Tesla for 3 weeks for under $800 for the complete period - I have not been charged for electricity to date either. Amazing.

Beautiful Hotel

The attentiveness of the staff from valet to check-in was superb. The room, linen and towels were clean. The gym was easy accessible with ample amount of cardio equipment. They also had complimentary headphones in case you forgot yours at home or in the room but they are compatible to the monitors on the cardio equipment were you can set it to the numerous built in workout sessions or you can connect your Netflix account to the monitor and watch a movie while you workout.

I've been using Club 1 Hotels for years and they have consistently provided good value. Sometimes it helps to shop around, but for many destinations (especially in the USA), they work out to be exceptional value. I'd keep an eye out for their promotions. They offer exceptional value with some of the bonus credit promotions they put out. Definitely worth signing up to their newsletter.

Enjoy Up to 60% Hotel Savings with a Complimentary Club 1 Hotels Membership!

When booking hotels, I have a pretty strict rule of thumb: book directly through the hotel chain whenever possible. It takes a lot to get me to book through an OTA or other travel provider, and the savings must be significant. Usually the juice isn’t worth the squeeze, but occasionally you can find some excellent savings. Club 1 Hotels is one channel that appears to provide consistent savings and is worth checking out.

Club 1 Hotels is a travel and lifestyle company that is able to offer wholesale rates to their members at over 1.5 million hotels and resorts worldwide. Besides offering hotel savings, Club 1 Hotels offers exclusive savings on car rentals, flights, golf, and other activities. You do need a membership to access these savings. In my initial review of Club 1 Hotels, I’m finding that they are able to consistently match or beat the going prices at most properties. In some cases the savings are minimal, but in other cases they really add up. If you book a lot of hotel stays, Club 1 Hotels is worth considering.

Comparing Club 1 Hotels to Other Booking Options

Club 1 Hotels advertised their savings as up to 60% off the standard rate. In practice, I found that the savings is often much less overall. Some properties showed prices consistent with other booking channels, while others were solidly a better deal. You’ll generally enjoy greater savings when booking 4-star or 5-star accommodations.

Here are some after-tax-and-fee prices I found through Club 1 Hotels compared to booking through Expedia and booking directly through the hotel:

  • Club 1 Hotels – $630
  • Expedia – $828
  • IHG Hotels – $791
  • Club 1 Hotels – $607
  • Expedia – $706
  • MGM Resorts – $703
  • Club 1 Hotels – $1,578 (29% savings!)
  • Expedia – $2,282
  • Marriott Hotels – $2,201

club 1 hotels complimentary membership

Price for 2 nights through Expedia.

club 1 hotels free membership

Price for 2 nights through Club 1 Hotels – $198 savings!

You can find additional savings comparisons here .

I used Expedia since these are the rates you can get booking through Chase Travel with Ultimate Rewards points. Make sure you take into consideration the other amenities you enjoy on bookings through specialized channels like American Express Fine Hotels & Resorts. Sometimes you’ll pay just a little more, but will get much more on property. However, you’ll typically see great savings through Club 1 Hotels.

Make sure you also consider the cancellation policy, as Club 1 Hotels is generally a little less flexible than either Expedia or booking direct.

Lastly, consider that you won’t be able to use status benefits when booking through Club 1 Hotels, so take things like free parking, breakfast, lounge access, late check out and other amenities into consideration as well. As a Hyatt Globalist member and Hilton Diamond member, I almost certainly wouldn’t use Club 1 Hotels to book with those chains. Where they shine is for bookings with non-chain hotels where the booking channel has no effect on the benefits enjoyed.

Final Thoughts

While Club 1 Hotels might not be a great fit for everyone, they are an option to keep in mind if you have a lot of paid stays, especially with non-chain hotels and don’t care about loyalty. You can usually enjoy significant savings at luxury properties around the globe. The complimentary Club 1 Silver Rewards Membership sweetens the deal even more!

The new routes collectively cover over 9,941 miles of track, running through 14 regions and 131 cities.

Orient Express La Dolce Vita Train

Labeled “Italy’s first luxury train,” La Dolce Vita pairs old-world Italian glamour with the finest modern amenities. The sumptuous interior is an ode to the craftsmanship of the 1960s and ‘70s. The 12 carriages host no more than 62 passengers at a time, creating a truly intimate travel experience. Accommodation includes 12 deluxe cabins, 18 suites, and one, suitably flashy La Dolce Vita Suite.

The train has gourmands covered, too. Michelin three-star chef Heinz Beck will oversee all the cuisine onboard, while Vinitaly will carefully pick the wines for each journey. The respective menus will, of course, showcase the best Italy has to offer.

You’ll live the good life, indeed.

Travel Insurance: How it Works and How to Save with Club 1 Hotels and AIG Travel Insurance

Traveling can be an exhilarating experience, but it's crucial to prepare for the unexpected. This is where travel insurance comes into play. In this blog post, we will delve into the intricacies of travel insurance, its benefits, and how it works. Additionally, we will explore how you can save on your travel insurance plans by partnering with Club 1 Hotels and AIG Travel Insurance. Whether you're planning a leisurely vacation or embarking on a business trip, understanding travel insurance will give you the peace of mind you need.

AIG Travel Insurance

Understanding Travel Insurance

Travel insurance is a type of insurance coverage designed to protect travelers against unforeseen events that may occur before or during a trip. These events can include trip cancellations, medical emergencies, lost baggage, or even the need for emergency medical evacuation. By purchasing travel insurance, you can mitigate the financial risks associated with such incidents and ensure a smoother journey.

Key Features and Coverage

Travel insurance typically offers a range of coverage options, which may vary depending on the policy and provider. Here are some key features to look for:

Trip Cancellation/Interruption: Covers the cost of canceled or interrupted trips due to unforeseen events, such as illness, natural disasters, or death in the family.

Medical Expenses: Covers medical treatment expenses incurred during your trip, including hospital stays, emergency services, and doctor visits.

Baggage Loss/Delay: Provides coverage for lost, stolen, or delayed baggage and its contents.

Emergency Evacuation: Offers financial protection for emergency medical evacuations, especially in remote or medically inadequate locations.

Travel Delay: Reimburses additional expenses incurred due to significant travel delays, such as accommodation and meals.

Travel Insurance

How Travel Insurance Works

To obtain travel insurance, you must purchase a policy from a reputable insurance provider like AIG Travel Insurance. Here's how it works:

Research and Compare: Begin by researching different travel insurance plans and providers. Compare the coverage, benefits, and pricing to find the best fit for your needs.

Choose a Plan: Select a plan that aligns with your travel requirements. Consider factors such as destination, duration, and the level of coverage you desire.

Purchase the Policy: Once you've chosen a plan, proceed to purchase the policy. You'll need to provide personal details, travel information, and payment to secure coverage.

Policy Activation: After purchasing the policy, it becomes active, and you are eligible for the coverage as specified in the terms and conditions.

File a Claim: In case of an unforeseen event during your trip, you may need to file a claim. Contact your insurance provider immediately to understand the claim process and gather the necessary documentation.

Goodbye sweet spot: Qatar Airways Privilege Club devalues American Airlines and Alaska Airlines award flights

Qatar Airways has devalued some Avios sweet spots for award flights on partner airlines including American Airlines and Alaska Airlines, as first reported by DansDeals .

Historically, Qatar Airways Privilege Club has been a popular, if somewhat niche, loyalty program for U.S. flyers thanks in part to the bargain redemption levels of short-haul flights on Qatar's U.S. airline partners. Unfortunately, that's no longer the case. And what's more, Qatar Airways made this devaluation with no notice to its Privilege Club members. Travelers should always consider diversifying the types of points and miles they earn and redeem because devaluations like this come all too often.

Here are the details on this latest blow, what flyers can expect, and how you might still be able to get some value from Qatar Airways Avios on short-haul American Airlines and Alaska Airlines flights.

Related: 5 versions of Avios: When to use Aer Lingus, British Airways, Finnair, Iberia and Qatar Airways

Qatar Airways devalues American Airlines and Alaska Airlines short-haul awards

Qatar Airways uses multiple (unpublished) award charts for flights on various airlines.

Although the airline made no announcement that it was changing the chart it uses for American Airlines and Alaska Airlines awards, flight searches reveal that the redemption rates for short-haul American and Alaska routes have indeed gone up. The cost of these flights in Avios has increased by up to 64%, with the shortest routes seeing the most dramatic price hikes. Here is what we have been able to piece together.

This means that even the shortest routes, like a 129-mile flight from Seattle to Portland, Oregon, will set you back at least 9,500 Avios each way.

The good news is that awards for longer-haul flights on American and Alaska, as well as redemption requirements for JetBlue flights, appear to be unaffected ... for the moment. Since this devaluation came with no warning, there's no telling whether Qatar Airways Privilege Club intends to make more changes to its award levels in the coming days. So if you were planning to book something using Qatar Airways Avios, do so sooner rather than later.

For now, the Qatar Airways award charts for flights on other partner airlines remain unchanged as well.

Related: Airlines you can book using Avios: How to maximize your points

What's the best use of Avios?

Although Qatar Airways award rates for these flights have jumped significantly, in the grand scheme of points and miles, they're still relatively affordable.

British Airways Executive Club , which also uses Avios as its currency, recently underwent a similar devaluation . The British Airways award chart for Alaska and American partner flights is structured much like Qatar's, except that each price tier costs a few thousand more Avios.

If you plan to use Avios to book award flights on American or Alaska, you'll still get the best prices if you book through Qatar Airways. However, depending on what rewards currencies you have, there may be better options.

Finnair Plus charges a flat 11,000 Avios for any domestic flight within the continental United States (and Canada), so while that would be more expensive for a short hop, it might be the cheapest option for a longer domestic flight.

For instance, if you wanted to fly from Miami to Chicago, a one-way ticket on American booked through Qatar would cost 14,500 Avios in economy or 34,000 in business class.

Or you could book the same flight through American for only 8,500 AAdvantage miles in economy or 26,500 miles in business class.

However, since American uses dynamic pricing, using AAdvantage miles may not always be the cheapest option. You'll need to double check in each case.

AAdvantage miles are also some of the hardest frequent-flyer miles to earn because the program has very few transfer partners (the same is true for Alaska Mileage Plan miles). You may find it easier to book award flights with Avios since you can transfer them from:

  • American Express Membership Rewards
  • Bilt Rewards
  • Capital One miles
  • Chase Ultimate Rewards

As mentioned, Qatar Airways has not, at time of publication, changed its award chart for JetBlue flights , so you may still be able to get great value from your Avios by booking short-haul flights on JetBlue. Here's the current award chart Qatar uses for JetBlue flights:

So, you could fly from Fort Lauderdale to New York (a 1,070-mile route) on JetBlue for only 8,500 Avios each way in economy.

A comparable route on American or Alaska would cost 13,000 Avios through Qatar Airways or 16,000 through British Airways.

When searching for routes to or from cities that Qatar Airways doesn't serve, the city or airport may not appear in the destination drop-down menu. That's OK — just enter the airport code into the destination box and click "Search," and flight options should appear.

Bottom line

Despite this devaluation, Qatar Airways Avios are still the cheapest type of Avios to book Alaska Airlines and American Airlines award flights.

British Airways' award chart is pricier than Qatar's for these partner flights, and it's much more difficult to book partner award flights on the other airlines that use Avios ( Finnair, Iberia and Aer Lingus ). You should also always double-check awards on American's and Alaska's own sites if you have their miles to see if you can get a better deal that way.

For now, Avios collectors should keep their eyes peeled, as more devaluations could be in store.

Since the launch of the Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card in November 2021, Capital One has made significant strides in establishing itself as a formidable contender in the travel credit card arena. Thanks to earning and redemption opportunities that often surpass those of its competitors (AmEx, Chase, and Citi), the Venture X, along with its counterpart the Capital One Venture Rewards Credit Card , has quickly emerged as a gateway to the world of premium travel benefits.

Today’s Venture X and Venture cardholders enjoy exclusive access to Capital One’s branded airport lounges in such cities as Washington, D.C. and Denver, with another planned for New York’s JFK. They also benefit from an array of perks when booking stays at properties within the Capital One Lifestyle Collection , a curated selection of design-forward boutique hotels, including room upgrades, early check-in, and late checkout when available. Venture X cardholders receive even more premium advantages through the Capital One Premier Collection , a distinguished assortment of luxury hotels and resorts worldwide, including 10x miles earned per dollar spent on booking, daily breakfast for two, and $100 experience credit (or the local equivalent) toward on-property food, beverage, spa, or other activities.

In step with a swift expansion in the travel sector and customer feedback, Capital One has now introduced thousands of vacation rentals to its Premier and Lifestyle collections. In an industry first, cardholders can earn experience credits and mega-bonus miles for rentals and even redeem miles for overnights at properties across North America (including Hawai‘i and Costa Rica).

Here, all you need to know about Capital One’s new and highly welcome expansion into the vacation rental market, accessible through its Premier and Lifestyle collections.

A log cabin–style mansion among tall pine trees in Telluride, with patches of snow on ground

Capital One cardholders can get credits and bonus miles for rentals and even redeem miles for overnights at properties across North America, such as Ute Lodge in Telluride, Colorado.

The rental homes added to Capital One’s collections

In early summer 2024, Capital One quietly expanded its Premier and Lifestyle collections by adding a selection of villas, homes, and estates. As summer comes to a close, this curated inventory has grown to include more than 2,000 residential-style properties in more than 50 destinations across North America. This portfolio was made possible through partnerships with five leading, trusted rental brands: AvantStay, Boutiq, Key.Co, Portoro, and HVN.

Each professionally managed property was vetted to meet specific standards for service and design while ensuring it caters to destinations popular among Capital One customers. Simply put: Capital One did our homework for us.

While hotels and resorts through the Premier and Lifestyle collections are great for couples and small families, these rentals build on a growing trend of multi-generational and group getaways for stays short and long. Most rentals accommodate between 8 and 12 people, but some can fit up to 48. (Hello: 22-bedroom Hudson Valley estate, Shakespeare on the Hudson !) Other portfolio standouts include Ute Lodge by AvantStay , a rustic chic multi-bedroom home in Telluride, Colorado; midcentury-modern Painted Sand in Coachella Valley, California, by AvantStay; and Hilton Ivory by AvantStay , a sleek, six-bedroom estate in Hilton Head, South Carolina.

Some locations offer only a handful of rental options, but some of the most popular U.S. vacation rental destinations, such as Asheville , Aspen , Orlando , and the Great Smoky Mountains , have more than 100 each that can be booked through Capital One Travel. The fanciest lairs tend to fall under the Premiere Collection while more approachable digs (in terms of price point and size) belong to the Lifestyle Collection.

The benefits of booking through Capital One Travel

When booking vacation rentals through Capital One Travel, Venture X cardholders will receive the following at properties in the Premier portfolio:

  • 5x miles earned per dollar spent on booking
  • $100 experience credit toward the likes of prearrival groceries, in-home chef meals, midstay cleanings, and more
  • Complimentary Wi-Fi
  • Early check-in and late checkout, when available

Meanwhile, both Venture X and Venture cardholders will receive the following at properties in the Lifestyle portfolio:

  • $50 experience credit toward the likes of prearrival groceries, in-home chef meals, midstay cleanings, and more

While earning 5x miles on stays is enticing, travelers looking to cash out Capital One miles on rentals can do so, too. Cardholders can redeem Capital One miles at a one-to-one ratio on rental bookings, such that 1,000 miles equates to $10. It’s possible to pay for part of the booking with miles and put the rest on your credit card.

What’s more, Capital One Travel credits can also be applied to bookings. This includes the Venture X’s $300 annual travel credit (a generous amount that helps defray the card’s $395 annual fee and one reason the card consistently earns a spot in Afar’s list of Best Travel Credit Cards ), as well as the current, one-time, $250 Capital One Travel welcome credit that’s part of the welcome offer on the Venture card.

Finally, note that Capital One’s vacation rentals come with access to a concierge and services of a destination expert. During a summer stay, my concierge stocked my fridge to perfection (as per all of my detailed requests) and then facilitated a private chef-led dinner at the villa, for which I was able to apply my $100 experience credit.

How to book

Booking a vacation rental through Capital One Travel is as easy as booking any other hotel or resort. Simply log in , click on “Premium Stays” and then choose “Vacation Rentals” instead of “Hotels & Resorts.” In the “Where are you going?” field, input your desired destination, and then add your dates and number of travelers, including pets.

To access Capital One Travel’s vacation rentals, you’ll need a mid- or top-tier card from the brand’s Venture portfolio . Although we’re fans of Capital One across the board, we’re partial to the benefit-packed Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card . A $395 annual fee is quickly offset by an annual $300 travel credit for any purchase on Capital One Travel. The card also comes with a valuable Priority Pass membership, handy for airport lounge access where Capital One has yet to open its own branded spaces. An annual 10,000 bonus miles after your first account anniversary takes care of the rest of the annual fee. Even better is that up to four additional cardholders can be added at no cost, each getting their own Priority Pass lounge membership, access to Capital One airport lounges, and access to the Lifestyle and Premier collections. That’s right, at no additional cost. The current welcome offer for the Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card is 75,000 bonus miles after spending $4,000 on purchases within the first three months from account opening.

For those still skittish about paying a high annual fee, the low-fee Capital One Venture Rewards Credit Card is highly attractive. You won’t get access to the Premier Collection, but the Lifestyle Collection is still your oyster. Until the end of 2024, you’ll also get two entries to Capital One lounges. Currently, this card has an elevated introductory offer: Get $250 to spend on Capital One Travel in your first year as a cardholder and a 75,000-mile introductory bonus after spending $4,000 on purchases within the first three months. That’s a $1,000 value for a card that carries a $95 annual fee—a whopping savings on your future best vacation rental experience.

While the offers mentioned above are accurate at the time of publication, they are subject to change at any time, and may have changed or may no longer be available.
