The are 5-6 trains departures to and from Geilo each day. You can purchase your ticket through the VY app, online, or at the VY ticket machine at the station. Remember to buy your ticket before boarding.

Travel by Car
The shortest route between Oslo and Bergen is via RV7, with Geilo approximately halfway along this road. RV7, which crosses Hardangervidda and runs alongside the Hardangerfjord, a National Tourist Route offering spectacular natural experiences.
Alternatively, you can reach Geilo via FV50, which crosses the mountains from the west to the east. This route takes you through impressive landscapes between Aurland and Hol, and from Hol, it's only 10 km to Geilo.
