Trivium are hitting the road later this year with Between The Buried And Me, Whitechapel and Khemmis…

Trivium have announced the Deadmen And Dragons U.S. tour with Between The Buried And Me , Whitechapel and Khemmis .

This awesome bill of heavy bands will hit the States from October 2 through to November 10, with frontman Matt Heafy enthusing of his tourmates: "Between The Buried And Me are the pioneers of mixing genres well before anyone else had. BTBAM back in 2002 – on the impeccable self-titled album – showed that they were unapologetically ready to mix elements of death metal, melodic death metal, grindcore, power metal, prog, ethereal – at times beautiful – passages of melody. Their self-titled record was a massive influence on me; I was captivated by the immense mixture of so many styles. Through their combining of a vast range of sonics and soundscapes, they created a sound that is truly their own."

Adds guitarist Corey Beaulieu: "We're excited to have Whitechapel be a part of this amazing bill. It's been over 10 years since we toured together on the Shogun tour and seeing how the band has progressed over the years and added a killer melodic element to their brutal sound just makes it a perfect time to share the stage once again."

And then bassist Paolo has this to share about one of his "favourite new bands of the last few years", Khemmis: "When we were putting the tour together, I heavily advocated for having them on the bill. I think it's always a testament to a band's sound when you have trouble pinning a label to it – doom, melodic metal, thrash, death metal. With Khemmis, it's all in there and rocks hard. They are a 10/10 live band and did a great cover of Rainbow In The Dark, so do not miss their set!"

TRIVIUM: Deadmen And Dragons Tour

The Deadmen And Dragons U.S. tour with Between The Buried And Me, Whitechapel, and Khemmis has been announced by Trivium.

From October 2 through November 10, this incredible lineup of heavy bands will tour the United States. Frontman Matt Heafy gushed about his tourmates, saying that Between The Buried And Me “are the pioneers of mixing genres well before anyone else had.” BTBAM shown in 2002 that they were unabashedly prepared to mix elements of death metal, melodic death metal, grindcore, power metal, prog, and ethereal – at times beautiful – sections of melody on their excellent self-titled album. Their self-titled album had a huge impact on me; I was mesmerised by the incredible fusion of so many different styles.

I’m Drew, the founder and editor of Front of the Stage. I have a strong love for music and photography, which started at a very young age. There’s just something I love about experiencing live music and capturing memories that will last a lifetime, and that’s how Front of the Stage came to be.

Trivium Announce Fall 2022 North American Headline Tour

Grammy-nominated band  TRIVIUM  —  Matt Heafy  [vocals, guitar],  Corey Beaulieu  [guitar],  Paolo Gregoletto [bass], and  Alex Bent [drums] — have announced their Fall 2022 tour plans.

The band will embark on the  Deadmen and Dragons Tour,  a headline run of North America produced by Live Nation, with support from  Between the Buried and Me ,  Whitechapel , and  Khemmis .

To herald the news, there is a special live Twitch press conference happening now hosted by  Nik Nocturnal  on  his channel , featuring a guided chat with members from each band.

Trivium are very excited about the tour package they’ve put together for the fans — as they are passionate fans of each of their tourmates!

Beaulieu also exclaims, “We’re excited to have Whitechapel be a part of this amazing bill. It’s been over 10 years since we toured together on the  Shogun  tour and seeing how the band has progressed over the years and added a killer melodic element to their brutal sound just makes it a perfect time to share the stage once again.” 

“Khemmis is one of my favorite new bands of the last few years,and when we were putting the tour together, I heavily advocated for having them on the bill,” says Gregoletto. “I think it’s always a testament to a band’s sound when you have trouble pinning a label to it — doom, melodic metal, thrash, death metal. With Khemmis, it’s all in there and rocks hard. They are a 10/10 live band and did a great cover of ‘Rainbow in the Dark,’ so do not miss their set!”

ABOUT TRIVIUM:

Trivium released their tenth album,  In The Court Of The Dragon , on October 8, via longtime label Roadrunner Records. The record was produced and mixed by Josh Wilbur and recorded in the Fall of 2020 at Full Sail University in Orlando. Get  In the Court Of The Dragon here . Trivium shared the album’s title track, “In The Court Of The Dragon,” which featured an epic intro composed and orchestrated by Ihsahn (Emperor) and was accompanied by  an official short film music video  directed by Ryan Mackfall. Loudwire called out the song as “a skillful blend of dynamics. And blast beats just sound really, really good beneath Matt Heafy’s soothing clean singing” while  Revolver labeled it “epic.”  Guitar World  christened second single “ Feast Of Fire ” as “pummeling” and “quintessentially Trivium,” as Metal Injection declared it “really, really catchy.” The band also shared the video for “ The  Phalanx ” in partnership with Elder Scrolls.  Kerrang!  called it “huge.” Heafy discussed the genesis of the track with NME. Trivium is a heavy metal band formed in Orlando, Florida, in 1999. They have released 10 studio albums, 41 singles, and 32 music videos since 1999. Some of Trivium’s most popular features is its heavy metal blended with effective lyrics, angry music, screaming combined with growl and clean vocals, and archaic themes. Trivium is one of the outstanding “big four” bands of the New Wave of American heavy metal acts. In 2019, they received a Grammy nomination for “Best Metal Performance.” 

At this concert, Trivium is accompanied by heavy metal bands: Between the Buried and Me, Whitechapel, Khemmis in genres such as progressive metal, doom metal, and deathcore.

On October 14,2022 Trivium  slayed  Nashville, Tennessee during the Deadmen and Dragons  tour. This show took place at the Marathon Music Works  venue, located in the heart of Nashville. Supporting acts included  Between the Buried and Me ,  Whitechapel , and  Khemmis . Although it has only been five months since Trivium has performed in Nashville, the last being in May for the  Metal Tour of the Year , fans packed the venue awaiting the chance to see them again.

First band of the night was doom metal band  Khemmis . Formed in 2012 in Denver, Colorado, Khemmis chose their name after an ancient city in Egypt. This was defiantly a great choice for a opening band for this tour, they had the crowds undivided attention from start to finish. Although all the fans had not arrived yet, the ones who were there seemed to thoroughly enjoy their thirty minute set.  This 4 piece band had very high energy, with vocalist  Phil Pendergast  jumping around nearly the whole set, all while playing guitar as well. Some of their songs included “Avernal Gate,” “Sigil,” and “Isolation.” The band closed out their set with the song “A Conversation with Death” which seemed to be a fan favorite.

Second band of the night was Tennessee’s own  Whitechapel . Formed in 2006, this deathcore band formed in Knoxville, Tennessee, and chose the name Whitechapel after the district of London where Jack the Ripper once lived. This six piece band has released 8 albums, and 14 music videos, and is most known for their song “The Saw is the Law.” Vocalist, Phil Bozeman , absolutely wow’ed the crowd with his intense screams, and stage presence. Once Whitechapel came on the energy was intense, crowd surfers began rushing the barricade and keeping security hard at work. Not to mention the mosh pit was absolutely insane Nashville was giving Whitechapel the energy they deserved. This six piece band has previously stated that some of their influences include Cannibal Corpse, Slayer, Pantera, Hatebreed, and Napalm Death, but with their unique sound they have managed to take all of those bands and transform it into one of their own. Whitechapel played seven songs, which included “Lost Boy,” “Orphan,” and “This is Exile” they closed out with the song “Doom Woods.” From the first note to the last, Whitechapel took Nashville by storm, and with over 400,000 monthly Spotify listeners and growing daily its safe to say they aren’t stopping anytime soon.

Up next was progressive metal band  Between the Buried and Me . Formed in 2000, Between the Buried and Me originated in Raleigh, North Carolina and is commonly known as the abbreviation “BTBAM.”  This 5 piece band has produced ten studio albums, and is most known for their ability to quickly switch from thrash metal to keyboard melodies, as well as vocalists  Tommy Giles Rogers Jr   wide range of vocals. BTBAM previously stated one of their biggest musical influences was Counting Crows, ironically enough they chose the name Between the Buried and Me based off a section of lyrics in the Counting Crows song “Ghost Train.” This five piece band has produced ten studio albums, as well as multiple music videos. Some of the songs they played on this tour included “ Sun of Nothing,” “Extremophile” and closed out with the song “The Future is Behind Us.” The crowd wasn’t as rowdy during this set, but seemed to be enjoying the show with multiple fans screaming the lyrics loud enough for the band to hear. Nevertheless, the fans seemed to be very pleased with the performance, and the anticipation was rising for Trivium.

The crowd was packing in as  Trivium was about to grace Nashville with their presence, and fans began chanting their name. Formed in 1999, this heavy metal band originated in Orlando, Florida. Trivium has sold over 1 million albums worldwide, and was even nominated for a Grammy for song “Betrayer” as the “Best Metal Performance.” This four piece band is most known for their insane riffs, dual guitar harmonies, breakdowns, as well as wonderful crowd interaction during the entire set. Vocalist,  Matt Heafy , combines his amazing singing voice, with intense screams and growls which makes for an amazing show. During the show Matt stopped multiple times to speak to the crowd, thank them for coming out and supporting live music, as well as challenging this Nashville crowd to beat Alberta, Canada as the most insane crowd of the tour, a challenge that Nashville was willing to accept. Trivium has released ten studio albums, and endless music videos.  They performed for approximately 1.5 hours, and the set list included a variety of songs, some that include “What the Dead Men Say,” “Chaos Reigns,” “In the Court of the Dragon,” “The Heart From Your Hate,” and they closed out with the song “In Waves.” Once Trivium began performing the mosh pits went wild, some of which even had small children, that everyone in the pit was allowing to have the best time and keeping them safe. Before the set was complete, Trivium crowned Nashville as the most intense crowd of the tour this far, something that Music City made nearly impossible for another city to take over. Although Trivium has visited Nashville two times in 2022, we greatly anticipate the next time they come to town.  The Deadmen and Dragons tour began October 2, 2022 in Boise, Idaho and ends November 10,2022 in Los Angeles, California. Trivium announce 2022 North American tour

Between the Buried and Me, Whitechapel and Khemmis will serve as the openers on the trek, which is set to begin in early October

Matt Heafy's been plenty busy with non-Trivium endeavors lately. 

Just this year, he released the debut album from his black-metal side project, Ibaraki , and released new signature gear with Epiphone – in the form of the MKH Les Paul Custom Origins Collection – and KHDK Electronics (the In Waves clean boost pedal ).

Today though, he announced that he'll be hitting the road with his Trivium brothers once again this fall. 

Beginning October 2 with a show in Boise, Idaho, the 'Deadmen and Dragons' tour will take the veteran metal outfit across North America, before concluding with a November 10 gig in Los Angeles. Between the Buried and Me, Whitechapel and Khemmis will serve as the openers for the tour's full duration.

"Between the Buried and Me are the pioneers of mixing genres well before anyone else had," Heafy said of his tourmates in a statement. "BTBAM back in 2002 – on the impeccable self titled album – showed that they were unapologetically ready to mix elements of death metal, melodic death metal, grindcore, power metal, prog [and] ethereal – at times beautiful – passages of melody. 

"Their self-titled record was a massive influence on me; I was captivated by the immense mixture of so many styles. Through their combining of a vast range of sonics and soundscapes, they created a sound that is truly their own." 

"We're excited to have Whitechapel be a part of this amazing bill," added Trivium electric guitar player Corey Beaulieu. "It's been over 10 years since we toured together on the  Shogun  tour and seeing how the band has progressed over the years and added a killer melodic element to their brutal sound just makes it a perfect time to share the stage once again."

"Khemmis is one of my favorite new bands of the last few years, and when we were putting the tour together, I heavily advocated for having them on the bill," added Trivium's bass guitar player, Paolo Gregoletto. 

"I think it's always a testament to a band's sound when you have trouble pinning a label to it – doom, melodic metal, thrash, death metal. With Khemmis, it's all in there and rocks hard. They are a 10/10 live band and did a great cover of Rainbow in the Dark , so do not miss their set!"

About Trivium

Trivium are an American heavy metal band from Orlando, Florida. Since founding in 1999, the group has released nine studio albums, one live album, three extended plays, four live DVDs, 25 singles and 20 music videos. Their most successful album was The Crusade (2006), which peaked at number 18 on the Billboard 200 chart. They have achieved two number one singles and various other top 10 singles in several countries including the UK, Canada, Germany, South Africa and Japan. Trivium has done five world tours and has also performed at national music festivals such as Download Festival, Rock am Ring, Ozzfest, Mayhem Festival and Hellfest. The band splits their time between performing live and in the studio, and in 2018 released their ninth studio album, titled "The Sin and the Sentence".

History of Perm Krai

For the first time the word “perm” was mentioned in “The Tale of Past Years”, a fundamental source in the interpretation of the history of the Eastern Slavs created in the early 12th century. Perm were one of the peoples who paid tribute to the Kievan Rus. They were found by the first Russian expeditions to the Urals, to the north of the Kama River basin. Later, in Russian chronicles, this territory was called Old Perm or Perm Vychegodskaya.

Unlike Perm Vychegodskaya, the land along the upper reaches of the Kama River became known as the Great Perm. This name is often found in the written monuments of the 14th century. In the 14th - 17th centuries, the Great Perm included extensive lands along the Kama from its origins in the west to the Ural mountain range in the east, and from the upper reaches of the Pechora River in the north to the Chusovaya River in the south.

Novgorod merchants were the first ones who got interested in the Great Perm (furs and tributes). In the 14th - the first half of the 15th centuries, the Grand Duchy of Moscow began to encroach on the lands in the upper Kama. In the early 15th century, the first Russian settlements were founded in the Great Perm.

More Historical Facts…

In the second half of the 15th century, after the Novgorod Republic ceased to exist, the area became part of the united Russian state. Russia significantly expanded its borders to the east and gained access to new natural resources.

In the 17th century, the town of Sol Kamskaya (Solikamsk) became an important center of military, economic and cultural assimilation of the Middle Urals in the north. In the south-east, the newly constructed town of Kungur played the same role. In the first quarter of the 18th century, about 46,000 people lived on the territory of Great Perm, about 65% of them were Russians.

Until 1727, the Middle Urals was part of Siberian gubernia with the center in Tobolsk, then Perm was part of Kazan gubernia, and, from 1781, by order of Catherine II, the Perm region ruled by a governor-general was formed.

It remained the main mining area of the Russian Empire until the end of the 19th century. There were more than 110 mining plants producing cast iron, iron, steel. For a long time, it was the main provider of copper. Salt production was also developed. In the east of the Urals large deposits of platinum were discovered. By the end of the 19th century, gold mining grew twice.

The 20th century was marked by intense growth of the local industry: engineering structure became more complex and rich. During the Second World War, more than 120 plants were evacuated in the Western Urals. Such branches of industry as chemical, non-ferrous metallurgy, oil-processing developed intensely; oil deposits prospecting began; a number of pulp and paper mills was concentrated in the region; new towns grew on the basis of new industries.

In 1938, Perm Oblast was formed. In 1940-1957, it was called Molotov Oblast. In Soviet times, the Komi-Perm Autonomous District was part of Perm oblast. In 1993, with the adoption of the Constitution of Russia, it became an independent subject of the Russian Federation.

In 2003, a referendum was held in which the residents of Perm Oblast and the Komi-Perm Autonomous District supported the unification of the two regions into one. In 2005, these two administrative regions ceased to exist and the united Perm Krai was formed.

Perm Krai - Features

The territory of Perm Krai is located in the basin of the Kama River, which provides access to 5 seas (the Caspian, Azov, Black, Baltic, and White). The length of Perm krai from north to south is 645 km, form west to east - 417.5 km.

The climate is temperate continental. Winters are long and snowy. The average temperature in January is minus 18.5 degrees Celsius in the north-east and minus 15 degrees Celsius in the south-west, in July - plus 18.6 degrees Celsius.

The largest cities and towns are Perm (1,043,000), Berezniky (134,700), Solikamsk (91,000), Chaikovsky (81,300), Kungur (63,600), Lys’va (58,800), Krasnokamsk (51,000), Chusovoy (42,700). The national composition according to the 2010 Census: Russians (87.1%), Tatars (4.6%), Komi-Permians (3.2%), Bashkirs (1.3%), Udmurts (0.8%).

Perm Krai is rich in various natural resources: oil, natural gas, coal, mineral salts, gold, diamonds, bog iron ore, peat, limestone, precious and decorative stones, construction materials. One of the largest deposits of potassium salts in the world - Verkhnekamskoye - is located here. It occupies about 1,800 sq. km., the thickness of salt-bearing layers reaches 514 m. Forests, mostly coniferous, cover about 70% of the territory.

This region is one of the most economically developed regions in Russia. The basis of the local economy is highly developed industry. The main branches are as follows: oil, chemical and oil chemical, ferrous and non-ferrous metallurgy, wood processing. All potassium fertilizers in Russia are produced here.

Attractions of Perm Krai

The most famous museum in Perm Krai is the Perm Art Gallery that has the world-famous collection of Perm wooden sculpture and one of the richest in Russia collections of masterpieces of Russian icon painting. The museum of local lore in Perm has a number of interesting exhibits telling about the nature of the Kama region, its rich historical past from prehistoric times to the present day.

Not far from Perm, on the high bank of the Kama River, you can find “Khokhlovka” - an architectural and ethnographic museum covering an area of 42 hectares. The museum has unique wooden buildings of the 17th-19th centuries. Every summer, various folk festivals are held in the territory of this open-air museum.

In the south-eastern part of the region, in the town of Kungur, there is a unique natural monument of nationwide importance - Kungur Ice Cave. This is the only cave in Russia adapted for excursions. The old town of Kungur, founded in 1663, is a historical town with about 70 monuments of architecture.

Solikamsk is one of the oldest towns in the Urals. There is a unique museum of salt here. The town’s architecture reflects the techniques of Moscow architecture of the mid-17th century and the local tradition dating back to pagan times.

There is a number of interesting places along the Chusovaya River connected with many historical events, well-known figures of Russian history (Ermak, Stroganov, Demidov, Emelyan Pugachev). On its way the river crosses several mountain ranges, therefore, on its banks there are many picturesque rocks.

There are several architectural monuments in the towns of Osa, Usolye. Belogorsky Monastery and Gubaha Ski Resort are also worth mentioning.
