One thing I would like to avoid is to have to argue about extra unexpected payments. Can you kindly confirm that the cost of all the activities, visits to historical sites, museums etc. etc. that are part of the itinerary are covered? Are there items that would need an extra payment apart from personal expenses and the other items listed below?

All the costs for transportations, tour guides, entrance fees, and meals which are mentioned in the itinerary are included. There are no hidden fees. You only need to pay for your personal costs, tipping (for tour guides, driver…), excluded meals & visa fees.

How is the payment distributed? I am assuming that there will be a deposit and a final payment a month before the tour starts, do you have a scheme to distribute the payment in various installments?

There is about 6 months for the plan, is there any travel insurance if we have to cancel due to an acute health problem arising? What kind of health insurance do you recommend for us?

Actually, we do not provide Travel Insurance as it’s complicated with Travel Insurance for foreigners from Southeast Asia. It’s recommended that you contact an Insurance Company in your country to buy one. Or please check with your credit card company, many credit card companies provide Travel Insurance. (You will have better benefits when you arrange Travel Insurance in your country).

We will have a lot of luggage. Is this a problem?

No, this is not a problem as long as you advise us in advance. Before you depart on your trip, please let us know how much luggage you expect to travel with so that we can arrange porters (whenever possible) and the appropriate vehicles at every stop along the way. However, please bear in mind that international and domestic airlines may charge extra fees for luggage that exceeds their maximum per person weight allowance. These fees are the responsibility of each traveler and must be paid directly to the airline(s).

Can you arrange my passport, visa or entry documents?

We cannot arrange a passport or visas on your behalf, but our experienced Reservations Team may be able to advise you on the type of visas and documentation you need when visiting certain countries. We also can provide hotel confirmation number and flights code already issused, so that you can use it to apply for your visa. Your passport must be valid for six months beyond the conclusion of your trip. Please check your passport before departure and give yourself time to apply for a new one if this is required. Also, if the nationality on your passport differs from the country in which you currently reside, contact your local consulate to ensure you have the right documents for travel. Your vacation may be disrupted if you cannot provide valid documents at airports and border crossings.

How far in advance should I book my trip?

This depends how far in advance you prefer to plan. We can book last-minute trips all the time, and we also arrange tours that are planned years in advance. Major considerations are visa requirements, hotel and tour guides availability, and difference price according to seasonal demand (festivals, school vacation, national holiday). So normally, at least one month before the trip we recommend to finalize your trip.

Can I make changes to my itinerary once the trip is confirmed?

Yes, you can change your itinerary prior to departure. However, depending on the available services and timing of the change, or difference price of tour, an additional fee may be applied. However, changes during your trip are not permitted since all services has been arranged in fixed schedule.

What is a Single Supplement?

All of our programs are priced per person, based on double occupancy (i.e. two people sharing one room). So in case there are many people in the group but someone wishes to occupy a single room, a single supplement will be applied to cover the additional hotel room costs.

• Whatever your mode of transport - whether it’s a tuk tuk or a taxi - always ask a local how much it should be beforehand and agree on a price before you take the ride.
• Manners matter. In Thailand, food is often served with a fork and a spoon. The fork is only used to place food on the spoon and it is often seen as rude to put the fork in your mouth.
• Always keep toilet paper or tissues with you, and hand sanitizer.
• Perfect planning is never possible, and having some gaps in your schedule means you can take locals up on their superior suggestions for a day sightseeing.
• While most countries in Asia use different currencies, having some spare USD will always be helpful. Some accommodations will charge in USD, for example.
• A bout of stomach flu is normal for first time travellers in Asia. Stick to busy restaurants or food stalls where the locals go and you’ll be fine.
• Watch what you wear. Most cultures are very accepting of visitors and their unusual get-up. But being respectful of the local culture will go a long way. In India, for example, covering arms and legs will be appreciated, and removing shoes before entering someone’s home will make you a few extra friends.
