In this article, we’ll guide you through the must-haves for your Princess cruise, ensuring you’re well-prepared for every moment onboard. From elegant dinner attire to comfortable shoes for shore excursions, we’ll help you pack smartly and stylishly.

Embark on your journey worry-free, knowing you have all the essentials at your fingertips. Let’s make sure your Princess cruise experience is not only unforgettable but also stress-free when it comes to packing.

Key Takeaways

  • Prioritize travel documentation like a valid passport and relevant visas for your Princess cruise.
  • Pack a variety of clothing, from formal wear to casual outfits, along with swimwear and appropriate footwear.
  • Remember to bring essential toiletries, personal care items, and health-related supplies for a comfortable journey.
  • Include gadgets like smartphones and charging accessories, as well as photography gear, to capture memories on your cruise.
  • Enhance your stateroom experience with comfort items, organizational tools, and entertainment essentials.
  • Prepare for formal nights and shore excursions by packing appropriate attire, accessories, adventure gear, and sustainable products to minimize ecological impact.

Essential Checklist for Your Princess Cruise

Travel documentation and finances.

Ensure you have the following travel documents in order before embarking on your Princess cruise:

  • Valid Passport : It’s crucial to bring a passport that is valid for at least six months beyond your cruise dates.
  • Visas and Identification : Check if you need visas for the ports of call and ensure you carry proper identification.
  • Travel Insurance : Consider purchasing travel insurance to protect yourself from unexpected situations during your trip.
  • Credit Cards/Cash : Bring along credit cards, some cash for tipping, and any foreign currency needed for your destinations.

Clothing and Footwear for All Occasions

Pack the following clothing items and footwear to be prepared for various occasions on your Princess cruise:

  • Formal Attire : Don’t forget elegant evening wear for formal nights on the cruise.
  • Casual Clothing : Pack comfortable outfits for daytime activities and casual evenings.
  • Swimwear : Include swimwear for relaxing by the pool or enjoying water activities.
  • Footwear : Bring comfortable walking shoes for onshore excursions and sandals for lounging on deck.

Prioritize your health and safety by ensuring you bring the following items on your Princess cruise:

  • First Aid Kit : Carry a small first aid kit with essentials like band-aids and pain relievers.
  • Motion Sickness Remedies : If you’re prone to motion sickness, pack remedies like wristbands or medication.
  • Hand Sanitizer : Keep hand sanitizer handy for maintaining good hygiene onboard.
  • Travel Adapters : Bring travel adapters to charge your devices and stay connected throughout the trip.

Make sure to use this checklist as a guide to pack efficiently for your Princess cruise and have a hassle-free and enjoyable travel experience.

Gadgets and Electronics for a Smooth Sail

Smart devices and charging accessories.

When cruising with Princess, having smart devices onboard can enhance your experience. Your smartphone is not just a communication tool; it’s your navigator, camera, and entertainment hub rolled into one. Make sure to pack your smartphone and any other gadgets you rely on, like tablets or e-readers. These devices will keep you connected, help you capture memories, and provide entertainment during downtime.

Don’t forget charging accessories. Bringing a multi-port USB charger can be a lifesaver when outlets are limited in your cabin. It lets you charge multiple devices simultaneously, ensuring you never miss a photo opportunity or a chance to check the day’s itinerary. Invest in a portable power bank for those long days ashore when access to charging ports may be limited. It’s a compact solution to keep your devices powered throughout your adventures.

Photography Gear for Capturing Memories

To preserve the unforgettable moments of your Princess cruise, consider your photography gear. While smartphones take great photos, you might want to step up your photography game with a dedicated camera. A point-and-shoot camera or a portable mirrorless camera can offer higher image quality and more creative control over your shots.

Carry extra memory cards to store all the pictures you’ll snap during your journey. Running out of storage space can be frustrating when you’re surrounded by stunning vistas or exciting activities. Remember to pack a sturdy camera bag or case to protect your gear from the elements and accidental bumps while on the move.

Capturing memories is an essential part of any travel experience. By having the right photography gear on board, you can immortalize the beauty and excitement of your Princess cruise for years to come.

Comfort Items for Your Stateroom

When preparing for your Princess cruise, consider bringing along comfort items to make your stateroom feel like a home away from home. Here are some essentials to enhance your onboard experience:

Organizational Tools and Storage

Keep your stateroom tidy and maximize space with organizational tools and storage solutions. Packing cubes can help you neatly store clothes and save room in your luggage. Hanging organizers are great for keeping small items like toiletries or accessories easily accessible. Over-the-door hooks are handy for hanging bags or hats, keeping them off the floor and within reach.

Relaxation and Entertainment Essentials

For moments of relaxation and entertainment in your stateroom, consider bringing a travel journal to document your experiences and memories. A good book or e-reader can provide hours of leisurely reading. Cozy slippers or flip-flops are perfect for lounging, while a travel-sized pillow can offer extra comfort during your downtime. Don’t forget to pack a soothing face mask or your favorite scented candle to create a serene atmosphere in your stateroom.

Enhance your Princess cruise experience by including these comfort items in your stateroom. By staying organized and prioritizing relaxation, you can make the most of your time at sea.

Onboard Experiences and Excursions

Formal night attire and accessories.

Ensure you pack appropriate formal attire for the elegant nights onboard. For gentlemen, this means suits or tuxedos, while ladies should opt for cocktail dresses or evening gowns. Accessorize with statement jewelry to elevate your look and capture the essence of the formal evenings. Remember, dressing up adds to the enchanting experience, so embrace the opportunity to shine in your best attire.

Adventure Gear for Shore Excursions

When preparing for shore excursions, pack essential adventure gear to enhance your experiences. Items such as comfortable hiking shoes, a daypack for carrying essentials, a reusable water bottle to stay hydrated, and a compact camera to capture memorable moments are must-haves. Additionally, consider packing sunscreen, a hat for sun protection, and a lightweight jacket for varying weather conditions. Being equipped with the right gear ensures you can fully enjoy and immerse yourself in the exciting shore excursions during your Princess cruise.

Sustainable and Eco-Friendly Products

When it comes to being environmentally conscious on your Princess cruise, there are a few key items that can help reduce your ecological footprint while still enjoying your voyage to the fullest.

Reusable Water Bottles and Bags

Opt for a reusable water bottle on your cruise to stay hydrated without contributing to plastic waste. Bringing your own refillable bottle allows you to access water onboard and during shore excursions without relying on single-use plastics. Consider a collapsible water bottle that’s easy to pack and carry around.

For shopping or carrying essentials during your excursions, pack reusable bags. These can come in handy for storing souvenirs, snacks, or beach gear while reducing the need for disposable plastic bags. Choose lightweight, durable options that can be easily stashed in your daypack.

Natural Sunscreen and Insect Repellent

Protecting yourself from the sun and pesky insects is essential while cruising. Opt for natural sunscreen options that are safe for marine life and your skin. Look for mineral-based sunscreens with ingredients like zinc oxide or titanium dioxide that provide effective protection without harming the environment.

Similarly, choose insect repellents with natural ingredients to avoid harmful chemicals while exploring ports of call. Products containing essential oils like citronella, eucalyptus, or lemongrass can help keep bugs at bay without damaging the ecosystem.

By incorporating these sustainable and eco-friendly products into your packing list for your Princess cruise, you can contribute to preserving the environment while having a fantastic and guilt-free vacation experience.

You’re all set for your Princess cruise adventure! Remember to pack your elegant attire, comfort essentials, and sustainable products to make the most of your trip. From formal night outfits to eco-friendly items, you’re prepared for a luxurious and environmentally-conscious voyage. Bon voyage!

Why Cruise the British Isles

The British pubs, Parisian artwork and Irish castles invite you to live like royalty.

Storied and splendid

Castles are the emblem of these regions. Between the chandeliers and tapestries, step into luxury when you visit the British Isles. Cruise to Dublin and parade through the 13th-century halls of the city’s fortress. Experience the grandeur of Urquhart Castle, and search for legendary ghosts in Glamis Castle. Or visit Edinburgh Castle, where kings, queens and nobles once lived and medieval secrets continue to linger.

Melodies of memories past

As the birthplace of many music icons, the British Isles invite you to sing, dance and raise a glass to songs played around the globe. Visit Liverpool to walk in the footsteps of a beloved boyband, and head to a local pub to hear the boys at their best. Cruise the British Isles for an evening of Irish song and dance in Dublin, or watch the Edinburgh Military Tattoo assemble bands, bagpipes and drums for a soul-stirring show.

Globally recognized, historically prominent

The British Isles are a mecca of UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Cruise from Southampton to Liverpool, and walk along the Royal Albert Dock, the first structure in Britain to be constructed without wood. Shop along Princes Street in Edinburgh’s New Town. Or travel to Brú na Bóinne in Dublin and get up close to Europe’s largest collection of prehistoric megalithic art.

Raise a glass to adventure

In lands famous for their stouts and ales, pubs are the cornerstone of tradition. Cruise the British Isles and step into age-old establishments that are bustling with spirit. In Dublin, get a taste of true pub “craic” — an Irish term that equates to an atmosphere of fun, entertainment and good company. With festive music playing in the background, sip on world-famous beers that originated nearby while sharing a laugh with locals.

Natural Phenomena

Unexplainable yet undeniable

Discern fact versus fiction on a British Isles cruise, where mysteries and mythologies abound. In Portland, learn about the 5,000-year-old stone circle that displays an advanced understanding of arithmetic and astrology. On itineraries that sail to Cork, search the sea for the Bioluminescence beams created by the region’s gleaming plankton. Or hunt for Invergordon’s legendary monster in the waters of Loch Ness.

Museums & Art Galleries

Ancient artifacts and acclaimed artwork

No cruise to the British Isles is complete without a visit to Paris. See “Venus de Milo” and da Vinci’s “Mona Lisa,” or tour Notre Dame, a work of art in and of itself. Visit the Irish Emigration Museum in Dublin, where interactive galleries invite you to explore. Those departing from London can also stop by the Victoria and Albert Museum which houses over two million artifacts.

British Isles excursions

Our award-winning shore excursions bring you up close to beautiful coasts, monuments and historical wonderlands. Or ride through quaint villages in Belfast on your way to Giant’s Causeway, and revel in the natural structures that surround you.

Local connections

Or set out on a day-long tour in Cork with your loved ones and visit the city’s most iconic sites.
