Pilots are pretty much all the same. The girls working the register at this one though are always nice and polite. The coffee is always hot and the chicken fingers and potato wedges are pretty good. The shower wait is always long so expect to wait at least 30 min to an hour and sometimes the showers aren't all that clean but it's a high volume truck stop and they do a decent job. Parking fills up quick for trucks in the evening and after 7:00 you can forget about it unless you pay for a spot or park in some random no parking area where you're going to most likely block someone in. All in all when I'm on 81 this is my go to spot. It's got a good vibe. I just try and park early and expect to wait for a shower. It is what it is.

Fresh DD donuts and coffee! I was surprised how fresh the donuts were & it made me really happy that they weren't stale. There's a Subway & Dairy Queen as well. In addition, I saw shower facilities available which many of the truck drivers were using. If I'm ever near this area, I'll stop by to fill my gas tank and grab some fresh coffee. Staff were friendly and helpful.

I had a bit more pleasant experience at this Pilot than some of the other reviewers it seems, and no real complaints from me. I chose to stay here and spent my money here, rather than Loves across the street since Pilot at least acknowledges us professional cargo/sprinter van expediters, and lets us park in their lot while we wait on a load, or sleep overnight after a long run unlike Loves, who only cater to the Truckers still. Thanks for the respect Pilot :)

Perfectly average truck stop along the interstate. There is a DQ and Subway inside alone with a Dunkin Donuts Express.

A typical gas station/truck stop in a convenient location off 81. I was happy they had a decently stocked Duncan donuts bar. Had a donut later in the afternoon and it was not stale. Cashiers were friendly, helpful and kept the fairly busy lines moving. Only issue I had was the first pump I pulled up to had a broken card reader so I had to move. Not a big deal though.

Thieves working there My husband is a truck driver Went into take a shower accidentally left his phone person cleaning the bathroom took it and denied it ! Not the first time this is happened at this pilot the first time he accidentally left it he got it back because ringer was still on and when they called it they found it up under some towels this time they turn phone off so could not hear it ring !

Pump credit cards don't work and no sign saying I have to prepay inside.. pain in the butt

This is a convenient location when I am heading on 66 or 81. I have been stopping by this store for years. It is a great place to gas up, grab and snack and make a pit stop. The employees are always nice. They don't mind giving directions or helping find an item. There is a nice selection of snacks and drinks. You can also find souvenir or gift items. You can grab a casual bite and sit down too. I have also been across the street to Love's gas station and I prefer Pilot.

Worst pilot ever. I waited over an hour for a shower. I'm losing money and patience. Next time I come through here I'll just go to love's.

These people are evil. My truck got a flat and they said I could leave it there for a few days while i sourced a tire because they don't work on split rims. They took my number and said they would call me if there were any issues or they needed the truck moved. The next day they called the State Police and had the truck towed to an impound lot. Absolute scum. Stay away.

I make it a point to stop here when in in the area. The staff is friendly and professional. Even when there is a customer being ... belligerent because the lights went out. Not only his shower but all of them. He has a very bad attitude towards the cashiersand the manager the morning of this review. The pumps don't read Rewards card for commercial trucks so you are not getting your points even when you go inside. The manager ... said they had an electrical storm and it hasn't worked right since. Here's a solution: call IT and stop screwing the drivers.We have to have receipts for taxes. It saves a lot of your backup issues at the pump when it works correctly. Took initiative and reserved a space here early in the morning as a trucker. I show up at 10 PM after an 8 hour drive and the ... place is packed. I tell them I reserved a space but the reserved spaces are full. They tell me there?s nothing they can dobesides give me a refund, despite the fact that I did reserve a space at this location and counted on it to be available when Iarrived. I accept the refund and parked on the on ramp. Next morning I get two separate tickets from state police. TL;DR. Donot count on reserving a space here and your deal being honored. Love this location it's clean and they have really great deals on all kinds of things. Kymberly went above and beyond to provide great customer service she was extremely friendly, and made me feel valued and welcomed. Thank you so much.

This is a great truck stop There's a lot of trash everywhere but I don't blame them for truckers that have no respect they throw out their trash even if trash can is nearby it is just laziness and so unessary what is wrong with you that you do this I will never understand

Here's the highest praise you can give to a gas station: good prices. Seriously. This Pilot is in a gas oasis, opposite a Love's. Competition helps keep prices low. Beyond that, what can you say? Pumps work, window washing supplies are plentiful, easy access to and from I-81, and that wonderful Virginia sky. Oh, and the bathrooms are clean. I didn't notice whether there was free air pumps but I'd guess yes. It is a truck stop, after all, and us civilians in private cars benefit from that feature.

Really enjoyed the food and fast service at the Taco Bell here with the Pilot gas station

Great food. Great coffee. Easy access with cheap fuel prices

Clean and organized. Bathrooms are always very clean. You can find anything you might need while on the road. Snacks, food like sandwiches, hot dogs, all variety of coffee including Dunkin’ Donuts. All kind of gadgets you might need to make your driving comfortable and kids.

This location is extremely busy. But as busy as they are the staff is wonderful. This is probably one of the hardest working crew that I've seen in a pilot and they help you with a smile on their face.

In the 20 years that I've been driving up 81 I believe i have stopped at this pilot station every time i had up into the mass and done area and head back to DC. At usually twice in a week over a 20 year period. They have all sorts of odds and ends in here. Dons a truck equipment as well and I'm pretty sure they have a shower system of some sort. The 24 hours and I can't speak for the restaurant itself but the coffee bar and hot bar are to at least 24 hours. Restrooms are or strangely clean to say the least. It's warm in the Winter and cool in the summer. Gas prices won't make you angry either if you're coming from the DC region. There is some friendly guys behind the counter that I've been chatting with the last 15 years to say the least. The wish I knew his name but regardless there are nice. You get that Southern hospitality without any political ideologies attached to it. O and there's always parking

Great hot breakfast bar on a Sunday rainy morning. It was fresh and flavorful. The store was clean and busy but the staff was keeping up and getting ppl out quickly. The fuel isle was clean and trash was not running over. It would help if drivers were not so nasty and think of the ppl who has the job of maintaining these areas for public use. Over all it was a great visit. No complaints from me.

Excellent place. I went here a few weeks ago at 3am with a bad case of the munchies. I ended up buying them out of nearly $300 in snacks before asking one of the managers for a free ice cream from the DQ on the other side. She was really cool and told me to go ahead and get once since I had bought so much. Found a few cups there but didn't think they'd do, so I ended up filling up a 2 gallon bucket with that sweet swirl action. Good thing the manager didn't follow me over or I may have gotten yelled at but honestly I was so baked I don't think I'd have cared anyway. God I'm so high right now, I think I'm going to head back there tonight. Great place, 10/10 would shop again.

As with all other Pilots I frequent, this one was no different. Good coffee and great service. But that one poor girl behind the counter could have sure used some help. By herself waiting on ten customers at one time. She did great trying to care of everyone quickly. Shame on the Pilot Store Manger for leaving her hanging out to dry.

Tons of food choices, plus has subway and Macdonalds on it. Large clean bathrooms. Staff are welcoming, smiling very helpful. Rooms to sleep in for truckers, great coffee, even has a hit deli. Great place to stop. Has literally anything you may need or want, even groceries.

This truck stop was well-staffed bathrooms were nice and clean and it had a wide-open area that branches off into the eating area for the Dairy Queen and the Subway's which are right next to each other. Dairy Queen closes at 8 p.m. so keep that in mind if you're a Dairy Queen addict LOL but the subway was open. Is a little bit of a line by the subway so I decided to take a better look at the store and counter they had some real food like meatloaf chicken wings and what made me happiest is that they had steamed broccoli. They had other stuff there too but my eyes were on the wings and the broccoli. Great tasting food and it was a lifesaver it's exactly what I was in the mood for. The girl working behind the small kitchen part was very sweet and very helpful... really cute too

I love my pilot staff very friendly. Restrooms are always clean. Food is great too. Never a problem with getting extra towels. Love the app too easy to use and keep track of my points. Plus I get to use my pointxe on food
