Comedy giants Dave Chappelle and Chris Rock are coming to Liverpool later this year.

The two comedians are bringing their co-headlining show to the UK this September and, due to demand, have announced a show at Liverpool's M&S Bank Arena . The Liverpool show will take place ahead of their two huge London performances and tickets are on sale now at LiveNation.co.uk and Ticket Quarter .

The series ran from 2005 - 2009 and is still one of the highest-rated syndicated shows in the world. In 2011, Rock made his Broadway debut starring in Stephen Adly Guirgis's The Motherf**ker With The Hat. Rock has won four Emmy Awards, and three Grammy Awards, and is a New York Times Best-Selling Author.

In addition, he received two nominations for the 2016 Emmy Awards, for Outstanding Director for a Variety Special for "Amy Schumer: Live at the Apollo," and Outstanding Special Class Program for the 88th Annual Academy Awards.

Comedy's finest, American comedians Chris Rock and Dave Chappelle are all set to team up for a joint UK stand-up show early next month.

It started as a one off show taking place on Saturday, September 3rd at London's 02 Arena, but fans can now get their hands on tickets for two extra dates to see the comedy duo, and tickets go on sale today!

The extra dates will take place on the September 1st, at the M&S Bank Arena in Liverpool and another date has been added for London's 02 Arena on the September 4th.

Tickets are still tickets remaining for the original date of September 3rd, but availability is low so if you want to get your hands on tickets for any of the dates, you'll want to snap them up quick as tickets are set to sell out fast.

So if you're planning to get your hands on a pair of these hot tickets - here's where:

Last-minute announcement for work-in-progress shows this week

 Dave Chappelle has announced a run of intimate work-in-progress shows in London this week.

The acclaimed American comedian will be at the Leicester Square Theatre on Thursday and Friday, with two shows at the Bush Hall in Shepherd Bush on Sunday.

Chappelle has won six Emmy Awards and five Grammys as well as the Mark Twain Prize for American Humor – although his recent work has come under fire for perceived transphobia.

His work-in-progress shows are titled The Process and tickets go on sale at 10am on Wednesday.

Chris Rock and Dave Chappelle , who were both attacked on stage during separate events in recent months, are teaming up for a joint comedy special in London later this year.

The stand-up show is set for Saturday, Sept. 3, at the 02 Arena in London. Presale tickets go live on June 9 at 10:00 a.m. GMT/2:00 a.m. PT, which fans can access by registering on Live Nation’s website . The general onsale begins June 10 at 10:00 a.m. GMT/2:00 a.m. PT.

Live Nation called the event a “night of world-class comedy” when announcing the show on Twitter.

Rock and Chappelle were both the victims of two highly publicized on-stage attacks earlier this year, with Rock getting slapped by Will Smith at the Oscars and Chappelle getting tackled at the Hollywood Bowl. The two comedians previously joined forces for a secret stand-up set at the Comedy Store in Los Angeles in early May, just days after Chappelle’s attack. Chappelle was an unnamed performer on the night’s lineup, and he brought out Rock during his set to joke about their incidents.

In the aftermath of the comedians’ attacks, Smith was banned from the Oscars for 10 years. After snubbing Rock during his Oscars acceptance speech, Smith later apologized to him via a written statement.

“I would like to publicly apologize to you, Chris. I was out of line and I was wrong. I am embarrassed and my actions were not indicative of the man I want to be. There is no place for violence in a world of love and kindness,” Smith wrote on Instagram.

In Chappelle’s case, Isaiah Lee, the man accused of tackling him during his comedy set at the Netflix Is a Joke festival, has pleaded not guilty to four charges of battery, possessing a deadly weapon with intent to assault, unlawfully crossing from a spectator area on to a stage at a theatrical event, and interfering with or delaying such an event with unlawful conduct.

Dave Chappelle announces UK residency at London’s Leicester Square Theatre

The comedian promises an hour of brand new material

Dave Chappelle has announced plans for a five night residency at London’s Leicester Square Theatre this February.

The award-winning US comedian will perform from February 9 – 13, with what he promises to be an hour of brand new material.

Tickets for Chappelle’s London run will go on sale at 10am on Friday (January 24), and are expected to cost roughly £60.

He will be performing at the Leicester Square Theatre, following Stewart Lee’s recent residency. Chappelle’s shows tend to enforce a strict no-mobile phones policy, asking audience members to leave their devices in secure pouches at security.

Meanwhile, Chappelle caused controversy when he released his latest  Netflix  special Sticks and Stones in 2019.

The show featured a segment on “cancel culture” in which Chappelle responded to  Leaving Neverland , the documentary in which Michael Jackson ’s accusers spoke out.

“This is the worst time ever to be a celebrity,” said Chappelle. “You’re gonna be finished. Everyone’s doomed. Michael Jackson has been dead for 10 years, and this n**** has two new cases.”

His comments prompted Jackson’s accusers James Safechuck and Wade Robson to hit back with the former saying: “I’m heartbroken for all those children who look to see how they will be received when they finally find the courage to speak out about their sexual abuse.

“I just want to reach out to other survivors and let them know that we can’t let this type of behaviour silence us. Together we are strong.”

Dave Chappelle tickets for intimate London tour are officially selling for £336

Dave Chapelle has added five more nights to his run of intimate London gigs next month, with tickets priced at up to £336.50 on Ticketmaster.

Following the announcement, standard tickets priced at £100 sold out almost instantly, with slower Chapelle fans left with the choice of paying between £246.50 and £336.50 for "Platinum" tickets to see the US comedian on stage.

Those heading to resale site Viagogo will get even more of a shock – select tickets are selling on the platform for up to a staggering £536.

Earlier this week, the Emmy award-winning stand-up revealed he would be performing a five-night residency at the Leicester Square Theatre between February 9 and 13, before adding dates between February 16 and 20.

The theatre has a capacity of just 400, an intimate venue significantly smaller than the Adelphi Theatre and Hackney Empire where Chapelle performed last year .

After gaining fame as a stand-up during the 1990s, the comedian went on to front his own sketch show, Chapelle’s Show, in the US from 2003. He left the show in 2005, a decision that reportedly cost him more than $50m.

Chapelle resumed touring in 2013, and in 2016 signed a deal with Netflix for three comedy specials.

Chris Rock and Dave Chappelle have announced they will be co-headlining an “iconic” comedy show in London.

Tickets for their 3 September show, produced by Live Nation at the O2 Arena, will go on sale on 10 June.

The news follows weeks after both stars were attacked on stage in separate incidents, both of which prompted fellow comedians to share concerns about performance safety .

In early May, a man ran and “lunged” at Chappelle during his set for the Netflix Is A Joke festival at The Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles.

Rock then joined Chappelle on stage, with the latter joking that Rock had at least been “smacked by someone of repute” in contrast to himself who was “smacked by a homeless guy with leaves in his hair”.

Rock – who was famously slapped by Will Smith at the 2022 Oscars after making a joke about Jada Pinkett Smith’s appearance – quipped: “I got smacked by the softest n***a that ever rapped.”

Since then, Isaiah Lee, the man charged with attacking Chappelle, has pleaded not guilty to four misdemeanours .

Smith has been banned from attending the Oscars and Academy events for 10 years . Following the incident, the I Am Legend star apologised, describing his actions as “shocking, painful, and inexcusable” .

Most recently on 1 June, Pinkett-Smith addressed the slap for the first time on her Facebook Watch series Red Table Talk, stating that she hopes Rock and Smith can “reconcile”.
