I Had a great time at the concert. Jeremy gave an outstanding performance not just with his music and voice but his preaching reached my heart and got even even closer to the Lord. I was filled with compassion and love for the Lord and my for fellow Christians and people in general. Would love to see him again in the near future.

The show last night was awesome! I was with a small group from my church and we all had a great time worshipping with everyone! But when Jeremy came on stage he was so full of energy and looked fabulous! I for one couldn't get over his physique! He is in fantastic shape! He did all of my favorites. God saved my life 2/19/17 I was dying of liver disease & God made it possible for me to get a transplant-even the doctors didn't expect me to survive the operation, but Our Wonderful Father God had a different plan and now I am evangelising to every one I meet.

I had never heard of Jeremy Camp before. My boyfriend suggested that we go. I am so glad we did. The venue was a little smaller than I am used to but then again, it was my first time going to a church for a concert. The set was amazing! I give kudos to his light and tech staff. The stage was set up with ample view of everything going on. It was nice to see his band on the big screen too. It was a great show!

Dove-winning artist Jeremy Camp has announced a fall 2024 tour across America supporting his newest album 'Deeper Waters' . The month-long campaign kicks off September 6th in New Haven and runs into October hitting other cities like St. Louis, Arlington, Colorado Springs, Albuquerque and Los Angeles. Joining the tour in support will be special guest Joseph O'Brien. Prior to the tour, the singer will be making an appearance at OneFest along with Anne Wilson , EVAN CRAFT , Stephen McWhirter and Honor & Glory.

Camp released his 15th studio album 'Deeper Waters' on May 17th, 2024 via Sparrow Records. His previous 2021 album 'When You Speak' includes the single 'Getting Started' which reached #1 on Billboard's Christian Airplay chart. The following year, the singer-songwriter launched his I Still Believe Tour which stretched into 2023 and was joined by Riley Clemmons , Jordan St. Cyr and Patrick Mayberry. Back in 2021, his When You Speak Tour was joined by Jonathan Traylor . Since beginning his career in 2000, Camp has received 5 GMA Dove Awards and 5 ASCAP Music Awards.

NASHVILLE, TN (June 15, 2023) After a highly successful spring and fall 2022 tour, Premier Productions has announced that Jeremy Camp will extend his I Still Believe Tour into the Fall for a 15-city tour across Canada and the US. The I Still Believe Tour, named after the hit song, will feature all of Camp’s top hits. Joined by the incredible Patrick Mayberry , the I Still Believe Tour will kick off Friday, September 8 in Camp Hill, PA.

ABOUT JEREMY CAMP:

Jeremy Camp, a multi-award winning Christian vocalist and guitarist, was born on January 12, 1978 in Lafayette, Indiana. His thoughtful lyrics and booming voice have earned him legions of fans and accolades including 16 No. 1 songs, five Dove Awards, three ASCAP Songwriter of the Year wins and an American Music Award nomination. Before his music career began, his father (a pastor at Harvest Chapel church in Lafayette) taught his son how to play guitar. After completing high school, Camp attended a bible college in Southern California for two years.

Camp was raised in a Christian home and drew musical inspiration from worship music and secular tunes alike. Touchstone albums in his artistic development include U2’s The Joshua Tree, Delirious?’ King of Fools , Jars Of Clay’s debut album, Jars of Clay, and Steven Curtis Chapman’s The Great Adventure.

When one of the worship leaders at the school heard Camp playing with some friends at his dormitory, he urged him to become involved with their music ministry program, and soon he was performing at Christian music events all over California, recording a self-released disc called Burden Me in 2000.

At one such appearance, Camp met a young woman named Melissa, and the two struck up a friendship that blossomed into a romance. When Melissa broke off the relationship after a few months, Camp was crushed, but when he next saw her, her life had taken a serious turn — she had been diagnosed with ovarian cancer and was in the hospital. When Melissa went into remission, Camp married her, but after their honeymoon, they discovered the cancer had returned, and in early 2001 she passed on; she was only 21.

Camp poured both his sorrow and the faith that helped see him through into his music, and in 2002 he was signed to BEC Recordings, who released his first nationally distributed album, Stay; it was both a critical and commercial success, and five songs from the disc reached the top of the Christian singles chart. While touring in support of Stay, Camp met singer Adrienne Leisching, former singer with the Benjamin Gate; the two hit it off, and in 2003 they were married, and have since been blessed with two daughters.

In 2004, Camp released his second album for BEC, Carried Me: The Worship Project, which matched the gold record success of Stay, and Camp won two Dove Award trophies for Best Male Vocalist and Best New Artist. In 2005, Camp released two albums — a studio set, Restored, which rose to number 45 on the Billboard Top Albums chart and spawned three number one Christian singles, and a live disc, Live Unplugged from Franklin TN. Camp also recorded the song “Open Up Your Eyes” for the soundtrack of the hit film The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, which earned him another Dove Award. The fall of 2006 brought another studio set from Camp, Beyond Measure, which reached number 29 on the Billboard charts and produced two more hit singles.

Speaking Louder than Before, his sixth album, was released on November 25, 2008.

The Way Songfacts reports that his seventh album, We Cry Out: The Worship Project , was released on August 24, 2010, and peaked at #1 on the Billboard Christian Albums Chart.

Red Sox first-rounder wants to 'spread love' for baseball

When Texas A&M played at Ole Miss in mid-May, it was a homecoming of sorts for Braden Montgomery . This was his first time playing collegiately in his home state of Mississippi after two strong years at Stanford.

But the All-American outfielder wasn’t the only one looking forward to his return to the Magnolia State.

Among those in the crowd was a youth baseball team decked out in Braden Montgomery jerseys. Montgomery met up with the group -- it turns out that he had played with the coach’s son a decade ago in travel ball -- and invited them back to the team hotel to hang out with the other Aggie players after the game.

In many ways, that epitomizes Montgomery, taken by the Red Sox with the No. 12 overall pick in the 2024 Draft. He’s a local legend after helping lead Madison Central High School to a state championship and No. 1 national ranking, according to Baseball America, in 2021, and slugging more than 60 homers across three college seasons. But he’s still humble and confident, happy to share his signature smile.

“I want to spread love for this sport,” said Montgomery, who volunteered as a youth baseball coach as a high schooler. “I remember how much I loved it at that age and how much I just wanted to be surrounded by it and how I looked up to those that were at the level that I'm playing out right now. It's super cool.”

Montgomery’s path to stardom has taken plenty of confidence and self-belief. He first grew up loving football -- both his father and stepfather played collegiately at Iowa -- then took up baseball after moving to Mississippi. A natural right-hander, he learned to switch-hit at age 10 and quickly took to it.

“I grew up in a family in which my parents were much more football people,” Montgomery said. “As far as baseball goes, we were learning it together. And so one day I just thought it was cool to be able to hit on both sides of the plate, so I started learning how to hit on the other side and just kept it going from there just because nobody was there to tell me, ‘No.’”

Long before he earned Mississippi Gatorade Player of the Year honors in 2021, Montgomery showed maturity beyond his years. His high school coach Patrick Robey was struck by how goal-oriented he was. Montgomery was always happy to sing on the bus and be loose in the clubhouse, walking around with a bounce, but he knew when to buckle down on the field.

Naturally, the numbers were there. As a senior, he hit seven homers and ran a 1.465 OPS at the plate while striking out 116 batters with a 0.74 ERA in 56 2/3 innings on the mound. But his process also portended a bright future as much as anything.

“There were times he'd swing and miss, have a bad at-bat, have a bad game, but his approach wouldn't change,” Robey said. “His preparation wouldn't change and his mindset wouldn't change. That led me to believe that he certainly had all the intangibles to go along with his physical skills to play at a very high level.”

Montgomery could have been a high pick coming out of high school -- he ranked as MLB Pipeline’s No. 66 Draft prospect in 2021 -- but as a high academic achiever, he prized his commitment to Stanford. In talking with his parents, he tried to put a value on the Stanford education and experience, a number no team was able to meet.

Clearly, that decision has paid off.

After hitting .294/.361/.596 with 18 homers in 2022, he took home Pac-12 Freshman of the Year honors and became a Freshman All-American. The 6-foot-2 right fielder was even better as a sophomore, with a .336/.461/.611 line and 17 homers as he earned a spot on the Team USA Collegiate National Team.

Montgomery could have finished his college career at Stanford, which made the College World Series in each of his two seasons, but wanted to challenge himself once again. His ultimate goal was to become a Major Leaguer, so he wanted to play in the SEC against the highest level of college competition. Additionally, he wanted to be closer to his Houston-area-based hitting instructor Jeremy Isenhower, who also worked with Major Leaguers including Bobby Witt Jr. and Alec Bohm.

The perfect match: Texas A&M. Which, coincidentally, his Cardinal eliminated from the NCAA Tournament in the 2022 Regionals.

“Yeah, not fun,” Aggies baseball coach Jim Schlossnagle said of facing Montgomery. “He pitched great against us. He effectively ended our season, both with his bat and on the mound. We knew he was a great player. We also knew he had areas he could get better, but we had no idea what a great human being he is.”

Montgomery has fit in seamlessly at College Station. His humble style jelled with the locker room, and he let his hard work do the talking to earn his teammates’ respect. Plus, if anyone talked smack, he had the perfect one-liner about beating them last season.

If there were any questions about how he would handle the transition to a bigger stage, he erased them in his first at-bat. Playing in front of a sold-out crowd of 7,078 at Blue Bell Park, he worked a full count, fouled off three straight pitches and launched a massive home run to score the Aggies’ first run of the season.

“Everybody had heard about Braden, but no one had seen him in person,” Schlossnagle said. “It was like seeing Santa Claus the first time. And he hits a home run and it's like as storybook as you could possibly be.”

Montgomery’s put up huge numbers all year, becoming a Golden Spikes Award semifinalist . His two-way aspirations are all but over after making just two relief appearances -- but only because he so obviously has sky-high hitting potential, making it not worth the risk of suffering an injury on the mound.

Montgomery continues to be driven to be the best player he can be -- and the best player ever. While he continues to hit better from the left side, he’s made great strides against southpaws as well.

Having just turned 21 in April, Montgomery still has plenty of room to improve. There’s untapped power in his lanky frame and a bit of swing-and-miss, especially from the right side. But across multiple programs and big life decisions, he’s shown that his goal-oriented nature, natural talents and love for the game can take him far.

“He's about as complete of a player as you're going to get in college baseball,” Schlossnagle said.

The announcements focus on improving living standards by driving economic growth, the first of Sir Keir Starmer's five "missions for national renewal".

Big ticket items include a plan to build more houses and infrastructure, nationalise the railways and give greater powers to the UK's fiscal watchdog over spending commitments to prevent a repeat of the Liz Truss mini-budget fiasco.

A short while ago, our chief political correspondent Jon Craig spoke to former minister Chris Philp in Central Lobby, where MPs have been busy today.

He asks the MP how morale is in the Conservative Party in the wake of a dramatic election loss earlier this month.

"It's obviously a very different situation," Mr Philp says.

"When we were in before the election, it's been a pretty bruising defeat and we're now adjusting to being in opposition rather than government. 

"It's quite a big change. We're going to have to get used to that."

Jon then asks about a timeline for selecting a new party leader, which Mr Philp says the party will learn more about "as soon as tomorrow".

"My own view is we should take more time to make a thoughtful choice, for the various contenders, to set out their stool and be tested in debates at party conference and so on," he says.

"There's no need to rush into this, so I hope we do take a bit more time to have a considered decision."

King Charles has delivered the new Labour government's first King’s Speech setting out their priorities for the months ahead.

There was a jovial atmosphere in the House of Commons today, with MPs attempting to make each other laugh in the Loyal Address that came after the King's Speech.

Even Rishi Sunak and Sir Keir Starmer appeared to put old differences aside in the House, filmed chatting as they walked through Central Lobby.

Shifting focus back to the Commons, where Labour MP John McDonnell has just urged Sir Keir Starmer to scrap the two-child benefit cap and "lift 300,000 children out of poverty".

It comes after Labour today confirmed it will launch a child poverty taskforce, but did not lay out the exact remit of this group.

He told the Commons: "I was in this House when the Tories introduced it, it was introduced as part of the stigmatising of all those on benefits. 

"I did a speech, I actually think I said I'd swim through vomit to vote against this piece of legislation, and some of the nauseous speeches from the Tories at the time almost meant I would have to.

"It was [an] appalling form of attack on the poorest within our communities. I think we just need to lift that stigma, lift that impact, but we need to do it quickly. 

"So yes, set up this taskforce by all means, but produce a timetable that within weeks we will scrap the two-child limit."

The MP for Hayes and Harlington said "the resources are there" and appealed to the government to "take the benefits" of the growing economy and scrap the policy.

Former prime minister Liz Truss has accused officials of breaching the civil service code after her mini-budget was described as a "disaster" in documents about the King's Speech.

Ms Truss complained that references to the "mistakes" of her economic policy, which unleashed chaos in the markets and tanked the pound, were "untrue political attacks".

She has now urged the head of the civil service - Simon Case, to "urgently investigate how such material came to be included in this document".

In a letter, Ms Truss said: "It has been brought to my attention that the King's Speech background briefing notes published today and available online contain repeated references personally to me and actions undertaken by my government in the context of a political attack.

"Not only is what is stated in the document untrue, making no reference to the LDI crisis precipitated by the Bank of England's regulatory failures; but I regard it as a flagrant breach of the civil service code."

In a briefing made available online after the King's address at the State Opening of Parliament, the government had referred to the "disaster" of Ms Truss's radical tax-cutting agenda.

Ms Truss has previously conceded her plan to quickly abolish the 45p top rate of tax went too far, but otherwise defended her failed bid to boost growth.
