Tap the spinner to cast your line. Then drag to slide the hook and catch fish. When your line reaches the surface you'll earn cash for the fish you caught! Spend it to upgrade your skills and hooks.

This game is available on mobile and desktop, so you can catch fish at home or on the go. The controls are pretty simple, to cast your rod all you have to do is tap the cast button. Make sure to time it right so you can go as deep as possible. As you reel in your line, hold your finger and drag it around to pick up fish as you reel in your line.

The goal of the game is to catch fish and sell them for money. Once you start selling some fish, you can use that cash to upgrade your fishing pole. By upgrading your pole, you can increase the amount of fish that your pole can hold, and increase the distance your line can go. You will get a bit of gold for every catch, and you can even find some hidden treasure as you are fishing.

Now that you know the controls and the basics of the game, let’s go over a few tips and tricks to help you as you get started.

Upgrade Early and Often

In Tiny Fishing, the best way to make money is actually to spend money. Use your hard earned cash from fishing to upgrade your pole. Once you upgrade your pole you will be able to catch more and better fish. This is a great way to start making even more money. Be careful though, it is very easy to overspend and run out of cash. Our advice is to have an idea about what you want to upgrade then save your cash accordingly. Don’t fall into the trap of buying every upgrade in sight.

Make Cash Offline

One of the cool features in Tiny Fishing is the ability to make money while you are not online. This means that when you get tired of playing you can take a break and still be raking in the cash. This is definitely a feature you want to use because there is no better feeling then logging on and having a lot of cash waiting for you to spend.

Check the Aquarium

Another great way to get cash in Tiny Fishing is the aquarium. Some of your best catches are stored in the Aquarium where they can continue to make you money. To collect your cash from the aquarium tap on the aquarium button in the top right, then tap on the fish to collect your money. Make sure to keep an eye out for rare fish that you can add to the aquarium as you are fishing.

Click the spinner to set your casting distance. Then click and drag to slide the hook left and right and catch some fish. When your line reaches the surface you'll earn cash for all the fish you caught! Spend it between casts to upgrade your skills and get new hooks.

Almost Perfect

I could spend a lot of time on this game. I really wish the fights were more dynamic. You should be able to control the rod left and right in order to fight fish or risk losing them if you don’t control the rod in the right direction. Change the button to a spinning reel, allow us to move rod left and right, and tie the difficulty bar to a rod control mechanic and it would be amazing.

Perfectly fine kids' fishing game!

NOTE: This is a review by a kid and fish expert and from the person from Abyssrium and The Creature Garden. First of all, the game doesn't deserve a 12 and up rating. It seems perfectly fine and appropriate, especially for fish lovers. This is a game for fish experts who can identify fish. There are a lot of less-well known fish. And second, no random ads or crashes! Calling all kids, I will show you the fish! In North America, you will find bass in Lake St. Clair, salmon in Alaska, trout in Lake Tahoe, and a red marlin in the Gulf of Mexico! Fun fact, billfish can turn red when chasing fish to eat! That's just one of the things that I, as a fish expert know. In Asia, you will find carp in Japan, taimen in the Mekong, salmon shark in the Bering Sea, and catfish in the Qinghai Lake in China! You'll find roach and tench in Europe, tiger fish and tuna in Africa, peacock bass and dorado in South America, horn shark and cow fish in Australia, and even whales and ice fish in Antarctica! If you don't have the licenses or vehicles, just wait till a tournament comes 'round. They open normally closed areas to all of you! Happy fishing!

While I have enjoyed playing this game, there are so many restrictions on what you can buy because of the in game currency, bank notes. You hardly ever receive banknotes if you play for free and if you do purchase them, they go by so quickly because of the high prices. For example, if I wanted to buy the 125kg sea fishing tackle box and get the rod, lure, line, and reel at a 70% discount, I would need to pay 50$ in real world money. A suggestion I would make is to allow players to convert their earned coins into banknotes and for the banknotes to be constant with the coins. I mean this because some baits cost 1 bank note and 60 coins while others cost 1 bank note and 10 coins. Just make 1 bank note worth 100 coins and adjust accordingly. The banknotes have inhibited by experience because they make the game less fun. It is less fun because I know I would be doing as well as other players if I paid real money.

Most fishers have been there at some point–You want to get out on the water but just don’t have the money. Thankfully, we’re in the modern era, so fishing games are much easier to come by these days.

Even better, a lot of the best ones are actually free!

There are quite a few free fishing games out there to satisfy any angling needs, whether it’s a prolonged game session or just something to kill time while traveling.

Let’s take a look at the 7 best free-to-play fishing games currently out there.

7. Go Fish!

Definitely for the casual players, Go Fish! is available on iOS and Android devices and is easily the most accessible for anyone. It’s not complicated – cast your rod, let the hook sink as deep as possible, then snag as many fish as possible as it zips back up. 

Depending on the type of fish, there could be a big payout by the time you get them to the surface. That money’s going to come in handy, too, because before casting out again, there are upgrades available to improve profits on the next run.

Size of the hook, nets, and even the weight of the hook to ensure it sinks as far as possible. Some are more ridiculous, while others are available to make sure profits are being maximized with every fish hooked. There are some secrets to find, too!

Is it super realistic? Absolutely not, but it is really addicting and will keep you interested for a couple of hours. It’s one of the easier games to pull out and play to keep busy while stuck in a train or cab ride, though, offering plenty of fun for even non-fishing fans.

6. Fishing Clash

Okay, Fishing Clash is another that isn’t going to be very realistic in gameplay, though the graphics are much more realism-based than Go Fish. The fun of Fishing Clash is going up against other players to catch the biggest whopper while also having short bursts of gameplay to keep your attention. 

Fishing itself in Fishing Clash is incredibly simple – just cast off and tap to keep your line tensity. From there it’s a waiting game, but not nearly as long as real fishing.

It’s not complicated by any means, but the game makes up for it with an upgrade and gear system that keep things interesting. You can either duel others head to head or fish on your own and try to replace them on the leaderboards, arcade-style. 

The downside is that Fishing Clash is a free-to-play game. That means microtransactions are pretty prevalent. It’s not as bad as some other games, but the grind can get a little tedious after a few hours of playing. 

5. Fishing Online

Hear me out because a fishing MMO doesn’t really seem like the best idea at first, but Fishing Online pulls it off.

The idea is for a game with the fishing and aesthetics of something like Harvest Moon with the community goal of World of Warcraft. It’s working surprisingly well, too, building a decent little player base before it’s even out of early access. 

The fishing aspects of the game focus on freshwater environments, so you’ll be casting off in lakes and streams. Equipment is upgradeable, and there’s another component involving an in-game economy through selling your fish or cooking. Mechanics themselves aren’t anything special or groundbreaking, giving a more laid-back, casual feel focusing on the relaxation of fishing. 

Keep in mind Fishing Online is still in Early Access, but devs are pretty ambitious with their goals for the game. Updates they have in the works include expanding into saltwater fishing and adding more in-depth contests.

4. Professional Fishing

Time to get into the real fishing sims, with Professional Fishing bringing some of the best virtual angling for beginners. Even better, it’s free (for the most part) with the typical microtransactions and DLC add-ons. Professional Fishing has an ocean’s worth of content at your fingers, except it sticks with freshwater fishing, so it may be more like a big lake. 

Take your pick from sprawling freshwater maps, choose a spot to start, and cast off. That’s all there is to get started, and players will get the basic fishing experience that way, but the lake goes even deeper. Change up your gear, wait out the weather, or grab a boat to get out to the middle of the lake or stream.

There’s a surprisingly intricate amount of strategy to land every type of fish, with dozens requiring just the right combination of time, weather, and gear to land. 

The microtransactions aren’t too in your face either, making things calmer than the average free-to-play. Keep in mind, though, that the game is a little buggy, and try not to wade out too deep before casting out. You may end up sleeping with the fish otherwise.

Another fun aspect is that this shows all other players on your map live. Even just people-watching is hilarious, especially when seeing other players run a river to try and net an escapee.

3. Trophy Fishing 2

Much like Professional Fishing, Trophy Fishing 2 takes a more laid-back approach to the sport. According to the developers, it’s even intended to become more of a fishing encyclopedia than a game, with over 1650 species to hook throughout. 

Seriously, the gameplay mechanics might be more basic, a typical tension bar and quick time minigames for luring, but it’s so comprehensive. The amount of not only fish but lures, lines, and reels, in conjunction with being able to create your own lures, makes Trophy Fishing 2 deeper than an ocean trench.

Despite just how much it has, the game still manages to retain the smaller, peaceful feel of fishing out on a quiet lake. Not to say there isn’t a challenge, though, as after some leveling, the fish will get more aggressive. The Freemium mechanics aren’t that bad either, with little grinding until very late in the game. 

2. Russian Fishing 4

Fishing sims above are nothing compared to the hardcore angling of Russian Fishing 4. This long-running series is constantly upping the content game, with some of the most comprehensive fishing in any videogame, free or paid.

Over seventeen different locations to fish, 165 species, and a dynamic weather system that will give you some relaxing sunny days or have you pulling whoppers in a monsoon. 

If that sounds like a wild survival trip only possible in the Russian wilderness, that’s because it is. You’ll have to work on other skills than just fishing, with a whole survival element related to cooking and harvesting along with it. A huge variety of tackle options helps though, and ensures you won’t be cooking up the same fish every night while you camp.

Unlike the others on the list, there’s no multiplayer component to Russian Fishing 4. Developers are constantly adding, though, with more fishing reserves, tackle, and aspects like boats or more lure types. Hell, you can even crack open a bottle in-game and day drink, just like a real fisherman!

1. Fishing Planet

This is it – the big one, the grand kahuna, the great white whale that everyone is after. Fishing Planet has everything for every possible type of wrangler that may pick it up and is constantly adding more.

Even ice-fishing just recently made a debut in the game, with an entire multiplayer league popping up to show it off.

Twenty-five different biomes as of this writing, with everything recreated to the minute details with satellite and photo images. Advanced water physics, plus special fishing kayaks, boats, and tackle combinations, mean that for the low entry fee of absolutely nothing, you’ll have thousands of hours to find something new.

That’s not to say everything is free because “free to play” doesn’t mean it all comes without a price. Fishing Planet has enough add-ons to make World of Tanks blush, and they’re not cheap. If you’re willing, though, they add plenty of awesome new locations like the Congo or the North Pole.

Memorize the position of the fish within a few seconds. Place the fish into the places they were before.

• At the center of the welcome screen are the following controls (top-down):
• With your mouse, left click and hold to select. Drag and drop the fish.
• Tap on the screen with your fingers and use them as a mouse.
• Reset button: Restarts the session from the first level
• Information button: Opens the game’s tutorial screen
• Home button: Quits the game and returns you to the welcome screen
• At the start of each level, you begin with a set of fish shown onscreen for a few seconds.
• Select the fish from the bottom row.
• Drag and drop the fish to the location it was in earlier.
• Repeat the process until all the fish shown in the level have been placed.
• The win screen displays the number of seconds it took for you to finish the game.
• Select the reset button at the bottom of the win screen to play again.
• The game has 9 levels. Each level represents a number of fish you have to place in.
• The fish from the previous level remain in the same place throughout the entire playthrough.

Africa is one of the leading travel destinations in the world, and fishing safaris are one of the unmissable tours during your travel. From deep-sea sports fishing, looking for sailfish, tuna and marlin to exceptional fresh water and ocean fly fishing, African fishing safaris are one of the best ways to create once-in-a-lifetime memories.

Fishing in Africa is extremely amazing once you know the basic principle and the top rules. Embark on a boat for a day trip then make your catch and admire it for some time before setting it free afterwards in line with environmental conscience. Many rivers and lakes in Zambia host big numbers of fish hence making the country a top choice when it comes to fishing safaris in Africa. The fishing areas in Zambia include Lake Kariba, which is a manmade lake, Lake Mweru and Lake Bangweulu.

When travelling to Zambia for fishing, you are required to carry personal camp gear and pitch camp near the lakes or rives where you are to fish from. Boats and outboard motors which are used for fishing should be accessed near your camp. Please note that most rivers in Zambia have crocodiles and hippos hence be careful when fishing.

2. Morocco 

Morocco is one of the most visited countries in Africa and it should be on your bucket list if fishing is your best activity. Great service, helpful employees, and a cute dog. They have everything a nerd would ever need.

I was visiting from out of town and we stopped by here three time while we were here for a week. First to see what they had. This is a considerably larger store than the one we have in our town. They had basically everything a nerd could want. DND books and minis, magic cards, Pokémon, half of the store was cosplay stuff, mangas, war hammer, and other rpg and tabletop games. They had a reasonably sized play area that we could see. We intended on coming to the Friday night Magic events that they host but sadly we're unable to make it. The store was clean and the people were friendly and helpful. One of the cool features that they have is a tablet in store that you can search for cards through. You can also get the app and leisurely search at home and they will have the cards ready for pick up.

Eh. Some costumes and lingerie. This store can't seem to decide if it's selling comics and memorabilia or lingerie and adult toys. Fairly large location though and the stock rotates often so this may be the right store for you. You will not have an issue parking because the lot has about twenty spaces. Downtown Moscow also has street parking so hooray! The staff is generally friendly and knowledgeable. As in any store that all depends on the day and who helps you. Prices are fair on most items. As far as the adult items they do mark things up but being in Moscow you don't really have a lot of items for some of their merchandise. Amazon is bigger now so hopefully management will tweak prices accordingly to keep it competitive. If you're grabbing a few extra accessories for a costume or Halloween party this is your local spot. I do not understand the negative reviews of this store. The employees were quick to help anytime I had any questions and even told us about the free module Saturdays. The unique thing about this store is that it is not a toxic atmosphere like you may experience at the downtown Pullman gaming store. It has gaming of all types such as cards, board games, and table top rpg's. There is also costuming which I think fits quite well with the rest of the store as many gamers enjoy cosplay and the like. It was clean, the employees were respectful and were quick to remove negative customers who were rude, inappropriate and disruptive. I cannot praise this store enough. Most certainly the best gaming store around.

Wide selection of games from children to adult. Lots of Warhammer and D&D merchandise. Not a large selection of comics in store but I believe they will order whatever you want. Costumes/cosplay stuff rotates throughout the year, and the hidden adult-toy area has an okay selection. But I will definitely recommend this store for board games and Warhammer!!

I really like the selection of games here. We got The Battle of Hogwarts here and play it weekly. Have the expansion pack, too. Also enjoy the Fantastic Beasts Perilous Pursuits and Pandemic. The folks there have always been helpful and knowledgeable

I went here today because the costume portion of the store was recommended to me by a good friend. I was also told there is a sex-toy shop in the back room that I should check out. First off, as I was looking through the costumes, I was consistently followed by an employee as if I was going to steal something. They have just one dressing room, and the employee stands outside the dressing room the entire time, making you feel uncomfortable and rushed. Second, after showing an older female employee my ID to enter the sex shop, she ordered a younger male employee to be in there while I was. He followed me around the entire time I was in the sex shop, and it was very uncomfortable. I do not appreciate the lack of privacy that was given while looking at such a....personal election of items. If a female is going into the sex shop, they should have a female employee in there - and perhaps one that doesn't follow you around everywhere. I absolutely will not be back.

I was really disappointed in this store. I came in looking for comic book recommendations and was pretty much ignored. When I finally was able to get some help, it seemed as if I was inconveniencing the store. The store layout is weird and the selection is very limited. I felt kinda awkward the whole time I was in the store. The stores prices are rather high and they don't do any sales or promotions either. So I would recommend going to someone else in town or just shopping online. I won't go back.

Safari Pearl is a fun locally owned business. Their new location is awesome; I really like the bright and friendly atmosphere. I found all my gaming supplies here. They also have a large collection of board games, comic books, costumes, wigs and theatrical makeup all year round. It is fun just to see what they have in stock. They were willing to special order items that my friends needed. The staff was knowledgeable about their products and friendly. I also like how Safari Pearl participates and donates their time in local events.

For a comic shop, it has a really minuscule selection of comics. There are a couple shelves against the side of the wall, but the amount of current comics is almost non-existent. Then there's a couple tables with older selections of comics, which I appreciated. Please correct me if I am wrong, but if you want to get a subscription box, it's pretty pricey. I asked the cashier at the time and she told me that you pay for your box, then you also pay per series you want to subscribe to, then, of course, you pay for your comic as well. There are no other benefits other than that you are guaranteed a copy of whatever you're subscribed to. It was being justified that it's due to the fluctuation of college students coming in and out, so you also have to pay to cancel your box as well. Aside from the comics, there were also TCG -- mainly Magic, figurines, board games, and costumes. It seemed like this store tried too hard to do everything that it doesn't have much of anything. Despite the lack of items, my visit was still pretty pleasant as the cashier was friendly and helpful. If I'm ever out in this area again, it's hard to say if I'll go out of my way to revisit.
