JAY-Z and Beyoncé OTRII UK tour so far
The power couple returned to the UK last week.
Find tickets here
JAY-Z and Beyoncé have kicked off their tour in Cardiff last week, their first together in four years.
The couple prove that they are still crazy in love by showing crowds a public display of affection, walking out onto the stage, holding hands. Throughout the huge setlist, which consists of over 35 songs, the pair consistently held hands and flirted with another.
The show doesn’t avoid the topic of JAY-Z’s infidelity, as they perform songs from their respective albums Lemonade and 4:44 which touch on this. However, the main message of the show seems to be about healing, love and family, with private moments of the couple being shown on the big screens, including them renewing their wedding vows, her pregnancy journey, as well as their children, Blue Ivy, Rumi and Sir.
Opening with Magna Carta Holy Grail , the duo smash through their set list, giving the crowd a mixture of recent and classics such as Drunk in Love , Clique , 99 Problems , Run the World (Girls) , Crazy in Love and many more hits.
The show is both a visual and musical phenomenon with an epic screen, lights and fire, as well as a 26 person orchestra.
Also of course, we have to mention how incredible Jay and Bey look in their stunning stage outfits.

Lemonade, the sixth studio album from Beyoncé, was released on 23 April 2016, and topped the charts in several countries including the UK and the US Billboard 200. The album was accompanied by a 65 minute visual work of the same name.
She released singles Formation , Sorry , Hold Up and Freedom from the album, all of which make an appearance at the show.
4:44 was the follow-up to the hugely successful 2013’s Magna Carter Holy Grail . The album topped the charts in the US and peaked at No.3 in the UK, and also scored a Grammy nomination for Album of the Year.
The album was released just over a year of his wife’s Lemonade , with many critics claiming that this was JAY-Z’s response to it, referencing lines from her album after allegations that he was unfaithful. Songs like Family Feud also hint at some infidelity, and features on their OTRII set list.
The couple are touring the UK until 16 June, with tickets still available for Manchester and London.
13 June 2018 – Etihad Stadium, Manchester 15 June 2018 – London Stadium 16 June 2019 – London Stadium
Remaining JAY-Z and Beyoncé tickets are available now through Ticketmaster.co.uk .

Beyonce calls crowd ‘the loudest so far’ on first London tour date
Beyonce said “I can’t believe this is my job” as she dazzled on the first London night of her Renaissance world tour.
The pop superstar told fans “I love you” as she opened the first of five nights at London’s Tottenham Hotspur Stadium , before plunging into a number of ballads including favourite 1+1.
It was a family affair for the global superstar, who brought her daughter Blue Ivy on stage leading a troupe of dancers during My Power and Black Parade – with fans shouting: “Hey Miss Carter” as she left the stage to a standing ovation – while her husband and rapper Jay Z had the crowd in raptures when he arrived to watch from the VIP box.
Kardashians star Kris Jenner also had the arena clapping and cheering when she arrived to watch the Monday night performance, walking around the VIP box and waving at fans.
Beyonce began her almost three-hour set with gratitude, saying: “I just want to thank you guys, because y’all are the reason I am living my dream with your support and loyalty and I’m so grateful.
“I can’t believe this is my job, thank you.”
During the show, the Grammy-winning singer performed hit tracks from her dance-focused seventh studio album Renaissance, including favourites Alien Superstar and Cuff It.
She also delivered a tribute to Tina Turner , singing River Deep Mountain High, telling fans: “You know how much I love Tina Turner”, finishing the song with a sign of the cross before blowing a kiss to the sky.
Turner, who died aged 83 last week, duetted with Beyonce in 2008 at the Grammys, performing a rendition of her hit song Proud Mary.
To fans’ delight, the 41-year-old also revisited her back catalogue, delivering powerful renditions of classic tracks including Crazy In Love, Run The World (Girls), Partition and Love On Top – with the crowd impressing the superstar as they sang the lyrics back to her a cappella.
Beyonce said: “Definitely the loudest so far, am I going to get in trouble?”

The tracks were paired with Beyonce’s signature sassy choreographed routines, with theatrics which included her appearing in a glittery clam shell during new track Virgo’s Groove, a moving walkway on stage, fireworks, a giant horse prop and futuristic video projections.
She also worked her way through an array of extravagant outfit changes, including a sparkly silver leotard with thigh-high iridescent boots, a red glittery jumpsuit with matching hat, and a blue full-length floaty number for the ballad songs.
The seven-part disco party delighted energetic fans who danced and sang along throughout the performance, and particularly enjoyed moments of fun which included Beyonce wrapped up in a silver duvet during song Cosy and vogue-ing during Break My Soul.
She kicked off the first of the UK dates of her tour in Cardiff last Wednesday before moving to Edinburgh and Sunderland, expecting to deliver her last London show on June 4.
The Renaissance world tour is Beyonce’s first in seven years, and saw her kick off with an explosive show in Stockholm.

Take a look through Beyoncé's amazing career:
Beyoncé started her music career as a young child. When she was just eight-years-old she met LaTavia Roberson at an audition. The pair were put into a group called Girl's Tyme along with some other girls. Usher revealed in an interview with People that he knew Beyoncé when she was just 11 or 12-years-old. He told them: "She used to be in a group by the name of The Dolls. I don't know if I could consider myself their babysitter, but I had a time where I had to watch The Dolls." In 1995 Beyoncé's dad quit his job to manage the group, reducing the line-up to four. In 1996, the group changed their name on Destiny's Child. They've had a few line-ups over the years, in 1998 this was the line-up: LeToya Luckett, LaTavia Roberson, Kelly Rowland and Beyoncé.
2000: Destiny's Child most famous line-up
Kelly Rowland, Beyonce Knowles, Michelle Williams is the best-known line-up for Destiny's Child. Following the brand's MEGA success, Ivy Park has gone onto launch multiple collabs with none other than sports-wear giant Adidas!
2016: Beyoncé released 'Lemonade'
Beyoncé's sixth album 'Lemonade' wins the award for most talked-up - and rightly so. 'Lemonade' dropped out of NOWHERE on 23rd April 2016 as a visual album including a 65-minute film. The album's tracks largely focus on Beyoncé's husband Jay-Z's alleged infidelities. Bey doesn't hold back in the lyrics, 'Hold Up' includes the lines, 'I smell your secrets, and I'm not too perfect to ever feel this worthless. How did it come down to this? Scrolling through your call list'. These themes continue in 'Sorry' with, 'Look at my watch, he should have been home. Today I regret the night I put that ring on', before the now-iconic lines, 'He only want me when I'm not there. He better call Becky with the good hair.' As you can imagine, the internet went into MELTDOWN! Only adding to the hype was that the album was only available to stream on Jay-Z's Tidal for the first week of its release.

Beyoncé followed her 2015 success winning two Grammys in 2017 for Best Urban Contemporary Album for 'Lemonade' and Best Music Video for 'Formation'. 2018: Destiny's Child's reunion at Coachella
The girls are still going strong! The trio united when Beyoncé headlined Coachella in 2018 with a special appearance much to the delight of the crowd. Jay Electronica (born September 19, 1976) otherwise known as Timothy Elpadaro Thedford is an American hip-hop recording artist and record producer from New Orleans, U.S.
Thedford started rapping after he heard his nephew Akeem Pryor rhyme when he was a young age and by the time he was 19 he had left New Orleans, U.S. to pursue his music career. During this time Thedford called multiple cities in the U.S. home including Philadelphia, Baltimore and New York but it wasn’t until he reached Detroit, U.S., where engineer Mike Chavarria introduced him to J. Dilla and Mr. Porter that Jay Electronica’s profile was raised.
Thedford’s own raps were distributed mainly through his MySpace page, which is where he made available his “Act 1: Eternal Sunshine (The Pledge)” in 2007, to significant praise. Just Blaze and Erykah Badu make cameo spoken word appearances on the track explaining how they came to know Thedford before he raps continuously over Jon Brion’s soundtrack to the film “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind”.
As a result Jay Electronica’s “Style Wars” EP gained a lot of public attention, in January 2008 Giles Peterson dedicated 90-minutes of radio time to the rapper, and he has been described as a sort of hip-hop Jack Kerouac, for his elusive and mysterious character. The rapper is yet to release a full-length album and ex-partner and ex-collaborator Erykah Badu doubted he ever would, Thedford’s first two official singles to date “Exhibit A” and “Exhibit C” have been critically acclaimed tracks, the latter of which shot to the top ten in the iTunes Hip-Hop chart.
Thedford appeared at Bonnaroo Music Festival in 2010, and has continued his sporadic release of tracks including “A Million in the Morning” and “The Ghost of Christopher Wallace. He signed to Roc Nation in 2010 following an announcement from Jay-Z, home to other acts including J. Cole and Willow Smith.
“Act II: Patents of Nobility (the Turn)” is the long-awaited debut album of the rapper, which promises to feature popular-culture idols including Kanye West, Diddy, Serge and Charlotte Gainsbourg, and Jay-Z, and due to its elongated release has become one of the most anticipated albums in hip-hop.
Jay Electronica, the enigmatic rapper from New Orleans who has long been tipped to be hip hop’s up and coming lyrical star, performed at the Camden Jazz Café back in 2010. Despite the fact that he arrived on stage almost an hour late, his sharp appearance and easy confidence on stage, combined with his frequent witty engagement with the audience, ensured that everyone there that night enjoyed a truly memorable hip hop moment. Jay Electronica showcased his tremendous skill and versatility by opting to perform much of his material acapella, a decision to which the crowd responded well, listening quietly to Jay’s lyrical and delivery talents. The climax and undeniable highlight of the show was his hit song Exhibit C, which he actually performed twice and which was met with enthusiasm by the reverent crowd in front of him. The rapper actually came down off the stage and performed the final verse of the song whilst walking through the crowd. The show also included a tribute to J Dilla which was very well received. Supported by DJ TJ the King, the entire performance felt intimate, energetic and raw, and it was an honour to witness him perform in such an environment!

Amazing show. Jay was electric (heheh). Seriously though, the energy he brought to Toronto was incredible. He quickly got off the stage and right into the crowd to be with the people. Then when he got back on stage, he asked everyone who wasn't afraid to come up on stage and rock with him while he performed Exhibit C.
And I haven't even touched on the fact that Common blew that place up when Jay was done. He was incredible.
Thanks to the God man for taking the time to come to Toronto and all the staff at Kool Haus for making it a great show. DJ Lissa Monét (@djlissamonet) held it down all night, she's great.
My only criticism is that the doors opened at 8 and Jay didn't get on stage til 10:30 (to no fault of his own, that's just how it goes with rap shows). It felt like the hype man was trying really hard to keep the crowd pumped for *so* long that the place was getting cold.
Overall, unbelievable show. Can't wait to see Jay again.
Jay Electronica held it down during his set. Luckily, the two openers were amazing, which distracted me from the fact that Jay didn't get on stage until a bit after 11:15pm (Was scheduled for 10:45pm).
Jay immediately kicked off the concert with 'Exhibit A,' and even rapped the last verse, acapella. That simply gave me the chills, because Electronica sounds exactly the same live, as he does on wax, so that was epic.
The concert overall was very short, 45 mins total, but what can you expect from Jay Electronica? Considering, he has yet to release an EP/Album, or anything of significance, since 2009, so I till take what I can get.
Jay Electronica is a throwback to the "Golden Era" of hip-hop, not just because of his lyricism and style of rhyming, but because of his interaction with his audience. He takes his interaction LITERALLY as he spent the overwhelming majority of his set in the audience. I appreciate this since I was in the area where he was performing, but I think it does take away from the experience of the other audience members. After his set was done, he remained among the crowd and took lots of pictures. I doubt that this is something other artists with his level of visibility would do. Overall, a great show AND experience!
Best show ever! Jay ripped it. He was hilarious, engaging, and fun! He vibed off the crowd the whole time. As usual, his MC skills were on point and he played several of my favs and some songs that I hadn't heard, but now love. I will see him any time he comes to Philly!

Beyoncé cheered on by Jay-Z and Blue Ivy as she kicks off Renaissance tour in Stockholm
Share this with
Jay-Z and Blue Ivy were spotted in the crowd when Beyoncé kicked off her Renaissance world tour in Stockholm on Wednesday.
Queen B belted out an incredible setlist midweek in Sweden and her bangers weren’t wasted on her famous husband, 53, who bopped along to his wife’s hits.
Blue Ivy, 11, stood by her dad’s side and was seen glancing around the city’s enormous Friends Arena.
Both Jay and Blue cut trendy figures in black coats and the 99 Problems rapper kept a low profile in blacked-out shades and a hat.
The duo’s attendance on Wednesday didn’t go unnoticed and fans were quick to confirm they’d spotted the pair on social media.
One person even joked: ‘Manager Ivy was there to make sure everything was running smoothly.’

Footage of 41-year-old Beyoncé belting out hits has been shared widely online since she took to the stage on Wednesday, and the superstar could be seen performing bangers including Break My Soul, Cuff It and Crazy In Love.
Mrs Carter opened the show with Dangerously In Love and was on stage for an incredible three hours.

The Dreamgirls actress will continue making stops throughout Europe in cities such as Cardiff, Edinburgh, Sunderland, Paris, London , Marseille, Amsterdam and Warsaw, to name but a few.
Beyoncé will also be making her mark with BeyGOOD, the initiative she formed in 2013.
In various cities throughout the tour, the organisation will be supporting entrepreneurs through Black Parade Route luncheons and celebrating small business owners.
As well as this, 1,000 small businesses will be supported with a commitment pledged of $1million.
BeyGOOD will also support students through scholarship funds that will be given to colleges and universities in 10 different cities along the tour, with each school given $100,000 for the recipients – totalling $1m.
Beyoncé dropped Renaissance last year to rave reviews, garnering countless award nominations and rumours of tours, performances and more.

Jay-z celebrates 54th birthday with epic bordeaux fine wine crawl.
Beyonce and husband Jay-Z threw a star-studded party at an organic wine estate at Pessac-Léognan, followed by a tour of some of the finest producers in Bordeaux.
Guests including Rihanna and Kris Jenner descended on the vineyards of a Bordeaux wine estate to mark the Empire State of Mind singer’s birthday celebrations, on 4 December.
According to French news channel TFI , Jay-Z privately hired the entire 64-room spa hotel Les Sources de Caudalie, belonging to Château Smith Haut Lafitte, an organically farmed estate founded in the 14th century and acquired by the Cathiard family in 1990.
Widely regarded as one of the finest producers in Pessac-Léognan, Château Smith Haut Lafitte has 67 ha under vine and produces for its grand vin a Bordeaux blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot.
A luxurious birthday dinner was served for Jay-Z’s party at Château Smith Haut Lafitte. Its gastronomic pairing menu starts at €205 per person and currently includes fare such as beef filet with brown juice, truffle creamy celery and glazed carrot, served alongside Le Petit Haut Lafitte red 2014 in magnum.
As part of the multi-day event guests were also treated to tours of some of the most celebrated wineries in the region, including Château d’Yquem in Sauternes on the Left Bank, Château Cheval Blanc in Saint-Émilion, and Château Petrus where bottles of the 1969 vintage (Jay-Z’s birth year) were served.
Both Château d’Yquem and Château Cheval Blanc belong to luxury goods group LVMH, to which Jay-Z sold 50% of his Arnaud de Brignac Champagne brand in 2021. In October, Arnaud de Brignac released its Blanc de Noirs Assemblage Number Four , for an eyewatering recommended retail price of £1,055.
Jay-Z’s musical business partner Jay Brown, co-founder and vice-chairman of record label Roc Nation, took to social media to wish Jay-Z a happy birthday, with a nod to the epic trip.
“BROOKLYN TO BORDEAUX. More life to my brother,” Brown wrote on Instagram.
Earlier this year, Jay-Z settled a multi-billion-dollar lawsuit with Bacardi over joint Cognac venture D’ussé.
Jay-Z instigated the litigation by demanding a buy-out over concerns that a Bacardi subsidiary (Empire Investments Inc.), which looked after the daily operations of D’ussé, had mismanaged the Cognac brand by “failing to prepare for a surge in consumer interest”.

Gayle King spent three hours interviewing the historically private rapper and mogul Jay-Z for a primetime, hour-long special that will air on Nov. 14 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT). The interview, dubbed “Jay-Z And Gayle King: Brooklyn’s Own,” will follow the series premiere of “ NCIS: Sydney ” on the CBS Television Network and also stream on Paramount+.
Jay-Z spoke with King about the displays of his three-decade career in celebration of his new Book of HOV exhibit at the Brooklyn Library. He touched on growing up in the Marcy Houses in Brooklyn, which have now turned into de facto tourist locations, and opened up about his business and musical ventures.
Pieces of the interview aired in two parts on CBS in late October , though this special includes never-before-seen moments from King’s interview with Jay-Z, as well as some archival footage of the performer talking with the late Bob Simon from 2002.
“He’s more than a musician, he’s a mogul,” King says in the trailer. “He’s more than a rapper, he’s a visionary.”

Beyoncé and Jay-Z planned a surprise proposal for Lil Rel Howery at the Renaissance tour — but he almost missed it going to the bathroom
- Beyoncé, Jay-Z, and the singer's mother, Tina Knowles, helped Lil Rel Howery plan his proposal.
- Howery said on "The Tonight Show" that he initially asked Tina Knowles for advice.
- However, the planned proposal at a Beyoncé concert nearly went sideways.
Beyoncé and Jay-Z helped actor and comedian Lil Rel Howery propose to his girlfriend Dannella Lane during the Renaissance World Tour , the comedian said.
Howery popped the question to Lane at Beyoncé's concert at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, on September 4, with the moment shown on the big screen for the whole audience to see.
However, during his appearance on Monday's episode of "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," Howery said he almost messed up the plan because he went to the bathroom.
Howery said he got in touch with Beyoncé's mother, Tina Knowles , to pull off the surprise proposal to Lane at the gig.
"I got the tickets last minute but I called Miss Tina because I want to make sure I propose to the right song," Howery said. "And so I'm like, 'Uh Miss Tina, what's the perfect song to propose to?' And she was like, 'Well, do it to " Love On Top ."'"
On her recent tour, Beyoncé stopped singing partway through the ballad, allowing the audience to serenade her with the chorus instead.
"I was like, 'Alright, that's going to be perfect. That's when I'm going to do it.' And she was like, 'Well, I told Jay that you was proposing and he suggested that we could put it on the jumbotron for you,'" Howery recalled. "I was like, 'Woah, wait a minute now.' You know there's already pressure proposing."
"I didn't ask for all the other stuff that came with it," the " Free Guy " actor said. "I was just calling to ask for a song and everyone else was like, 'Do the jumbotron.'"
Howery said that Beyoncé agreed to the plan, but because he wasn't aware of the setlist, he wasn't sure when she would perform the song.
At one point, he went to the bathroom — which is exactly when the intro to "Love On Top" began playing.
"By this time, the crowd is singing. This is my part. So I run in, run out, retrace my steps," Howery said. "I end up finding the seat because I can see the cameraman sweating, on his earpiece like, 'I don't know where he at.' And then the crowd started to get irritated because they'd been singing the a capella for so long."

Howery said that Beyoncé herself also gestured for him to hurry up from the stage, prompting the comedian to get down on one knee and propose.
Howery and Lane both shared videos of the proposal on Instagram and thanked Beyoncé, Jay-Z, and Knowles for their help.

Where to Watch
It was hardly predictable when the boy from the Brooklyn projects became the world's first billionaire hip-hop star, Jay-Z. He turned his pain into passion and used the suffering to influence the words and lyrics in his music.
