After many years experience in organizing boat tour in Tanjung Puting National Park, now we expand our boat tour to Komodo National Park. We have our own traditional boats ready to explore the Island around Komodo National Park, to meet the Komodo Dragon. Komodo National park is the home of the unique and rare Komodo Dragon (Varanus komodoensis). Because of the unique and rare nature of this animal, KNP was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1986. The park includes three major islands, Komodo, Rinca and Padar, and numerous smaller islands together totaling 603 square km of land. At least 2,500 komodos live in this area.

Large dragons are usually three meters long and weigh up to 90 kg. Their habitat has beautiful panoramic views of savannas, rain forests, white beaches, beautiful corals, and clean blue seas. In this area, you can also find horses, wild buffalo, deer, wild boar, snakes, monkeys, and various types of birds. On Rinca Island, you can see komodos lying down outside the homes of national park rangers, or “parking” near the officials’ homes.

If you don’t see a dragon, Rinca and Komodo have beautiful sceneries with white beaches, mangroves, savannas and blue waters. During the dry season, these savannas and hills have dried grasses.

The tour we design in Komodo National Park is a complete destination for your adventure in Flores, Indonesia. You can meet the Komodo dragon, hike to the top if beautiful hill, white sand beaches, crystal view water, etc. Our scheduled tour is departing every weekend for Labuan Bajo, solo traveler or couple travelers are welcome to join on our trip. However, if you would like to enjoy the time only with your family or friends, a private tour is the best option. With the private boat you can depart anytime from Labuan Bajo.

Day 1: labuan bajo – kelor island – rinca island- kalong island (l/d).

• Pick up from the airport or your hotel in Labuan Bajo and transfer by car to the port to board the boat. Upon arrival on the boat we will start the voyage through the blue sea of Flores.
• Our first destination is Kelor Island, after around 45 minutes on the boat we will arrive on a small this small island. The activity is snorkeling, enjoy the beach or you can hike the hill to see the view around the island.
• Lunch serve on the boat.
• After Kelor Island we boat up to Rinca Island to meet the last dragon on earth, Komodo. Lead by the local ranger we will do the trekking through the forest and savanna to find the famous Komodo.
• Enjoy the sunset while watching millions of fruit bat covering the sky, the fly from small mangrove island to the main island hunting for fruit at night.
• The boat will slowly move to find the save place to overnight, dinner and sleep on the boat.

Day 2: Padar Island – Pink Beach – Manta Point

• While enjoying you breakfast with the view, the boat is heading to Padar Island. Opun arrial we will hike to the top of the island and enjoy the best view in Komodo Islands. Use your trekking shoes because the trek is slippery and steep hill.
• After trekking in Padar Island, the boat is cruising to Pink Beach. The famous beach with its mixing red and white sand. Enjoy the colorful coral and many kind of fish by snorkeling, you also can just lay down on the beach to enjoy the sun and the scenery.
• The next destination is heading to Manta Spot to search the biggest ray in the world and we can swim with the giant and calm Manta Ray if we can meet them. The meet is not guaranteed because they are wild animal.
• Dinner and sleep on the boat.

Day 3: Gili Lawa – Manta Poin – Kanawa Island – Labuan Bajo

• Breakfast on the boat and heading to Taka Makassar, enjoy a tiny island made of  sands with turquoise water around it.
• Then we will visit is Kanawa Island. Snorkeling or swimming in the island with white sand beach and beautiful underwater world.
• After Kanawa Island we will back to Labuan Bajo, pack you bag and farewell to the crew on board.
• If we still have time we could stop is Bidadari Island to enjoy the beach and some snorkeling.
• Upon arrival at the jetty the car is waiting, transfer to your hotel or airport in Labuan Bajo
• See you next trip.

Day 1 Arrive at Labuan Bajo, West Manggarai, Flores Island, Indonesia

Today is the first day for Komodo Island Tour 3D2N. Our Tour Guide we meet and welcome you at the airport of Komodo, Labuan Bajo, West Manggarai, Flores Island. Then, drop you off to the hotel.

Day 2 Labuan Bajo - Kelor Island - Manjerite – Rinca Island – Kalong Island (Lunch and Dinner)

At 08.30 AM, our Tour Guide will meet and pick you up at the hotel and then short drive to the harbour Water Front Marina Labuan Bajo. After arrive at the harbour, a small boat will take you to the boat. Then, leave Bajo Bajo and start the Komodo Island Tour Three Days Two Nights. First, stop at Kelor island, a small island which is 40 minutes from Labuan Bajo.

After arrive closed to Kelor island, with a small boat get off to the shore and walk up to the top of island. Next enjoy the landscape and some small islands arround it. Back to the boat and directly leave the island to Manjerite. Lunch on boat. Next the boat will take us to Rinca Island.

At this island, we walk under the jungle to find Komodo dragon and other wild life animals. Next the boat will take us to Kalong island and enjoy sunset and night bats. Dinner and overnight on boat.

Day 3 Padar Island – Long Beach – Pink Beach – Komodo Island

Early morning heading to Padar island. Padar Island is one of the most hunted tourist attractions for tourists visiting the super priority tourist destination Labuan Bajo, West Manggarai Regency, East Nusa Tenggara.

It is a small island, located between Rinca island to the east and Komodo island to the west. The boat will take to you Padar approximately two and half hour. But, it depens on sea floating, currents and winds.

After arrive at Padar island, get off to the jetty and start walk up to the point of view of Padar. There are more less 850 steps. Here you will see the uniquness island because of 3 different colours of beaches.

Back to the boat and heading to Long Beach, snorkeling and relaxing on the beach. After lunch, heading to Komodo Island. Walk to find Komodo dragon and other wildlife animals. Back to the boat and heading to Pink Beach. Snorkeling and relaxing at the beach. Dinner and overnight on boat.

Day 4 Taka Makasar – Manta Point – Siaba Island – Labuan Bajo

After breakfast, heading to Taka Makasar. Relax and enjoy the small sand island. Next snorkeling at Manta Point, try to find Manta Ray. After Manta Point, the boat will take us to Siaba Island. Siaba is the place for us for snorkeling and try to find Turtle.

Back to Labuan Bajo and will arrive at 05.00PM. The driver will pick up us at the harbour and drop to the hotel.

Day 5 Labuan Bajo - Denpasar Bali

The driver will pick you up at the hotel and take you the airport.

Itinerary: Komodo Shared Trip 3D2N

Day 1: labuhan bajo - menjarite - kelor - kalong island     ▼.

At the indicated time, you will be picked up from your hotel in Labuan Bajo to transfer to port and start the adventure in Komodo. During this first day aboard a traditional boat, you will visit the stunning islands of Menjarite and Kalong . First, you will sail through crystal clear waters for about 3 hours, towards Menjarite Island , where you will be able to snorkel and relax. Get your snorkeling gear ready and dive into an underwater world full of colors and life!

In the afternoon, you will sail to the mysterious Kalong Island , known as the home of the flying foxes. Here you will see of flying foxes that come out of the mangroves at sunset time in search of food on Flores Island. Just at sunset they will take flight overtaking the boats of the National Park, a true spectacle of nature. The beautiful sunset in Komodo is perhaps one of the most beautiful in Indonesia and you can enjoy it on board your boat. You will end the day enjoying a delicious dinner prepared by the crew and spend the night on the boat.

DAYS 2: PADAR - KOMODO - PINK BEACH - MANTA POINT      ▼

After breakfast on board, we set sail for Padar Island . Get your trekking boots ready for a hike to the famous view of the three bays, a panorama that will take your breath away.

After enjoying this postcard image, you will continue directly to Loh Liang, the Ranger station on Komodo Island. We will pass around many small islands and after a period of sailing, we will arrive at the pier of Komodo Island. After checking in, we will do a gentle trek to see the Komodo dragon and other wildlife such as Timor deer, wild boar, wild chicken and many species of tropical birds. A local ranger will guide you during the hike.

Back at the boat, we’ll sail to the iconic Playa Rosa (Pink Beach). Here you can dive into its crystal-clear waters to enjoy a spectacular underwater world, with pristine coral reefs and a variety of multicolored fish. It is also an ideal place to relax, sunbathe and swim.

To finish, we will sail to the Manta Point to explore giant mantas by snorkeling, or you might even be able to see them from the boat (the encounter with the mantas cannot be guaranteed due to weather/strong currents). Lunch will be provided on board.

DAY 3: KANAWA - LABUAN BAJO - HOTEL / AIRPORT - END OF TRIP       ▼

Komodo National Park is much more than dragons. You will be amazed by the clarity of its waters and its white sand and coral beaches. After breakfast on the boat, you will sail to Kanawa to snorkel and relax or sunbathe on the beach. We will finish the adventure and go to the airport of Labuan Bajo to take the flight to your next destination.

When is the best time of the year to do this tour?

Our favourite time for travel in Indonesia is between April to October. Although Indonesia is a great year-round destination, offering memorable experiences for all kinds of adventures. July to August are the peak summer months.

In West to Central part of the weather is delightfully warm and it’s a popular time for travellers to visit for holidays. Whilst if you wish to travel from October to April, the Eastern part Indonesia, like Banda and Raja Ampat, would be the best option.

If you wish to have a relaxing journey in Indonesia with less crowds, the shoulder months of April to June and September to October are ideal and slightly more economic. If you must travel in ‘high season’ but want to avoid the crowd, worry not. There are numbered of unbeaten track in Indonesia ready to be explored.

How do I get to Labuan Bajo?

Currently, local direct flights to Labuan Bajo (LBJ) are available from Jakarta airport (CGK) and Denpasar, Bali (DPS). These are where most international routes arrive and depart. Denpasar is closer to Labuan Bajo and usually the central hub for flights going to the Nusa Tenggara islands. There are direct flights from Jakarta by Garuda Indonesia, Batik Air, and AirAsia. From Denpasar, there are also Nam Air and Wings Air in addition to the previous three airlines.

What should I bring?

Tropical areas are usually warm and often sweaty places, especially if you have Borneo or Sulawesi included in your travel. Check out our suggestions on What to Wear:

• Comfortable walking shoes or trekking shoes if your trip include some trekking
• Shorts and long pants
• Couple of pairs of socks

How hard is our tour?

We have classified our tours in 3 different classes. Always check which one suitable for your condition. If you have any doubt, you may consult to our travel expert.

Easy: Suitable for most people in good health. These trips can include short walk for days with around 2–3 hours in good paths and at low altitudes.

Medium: A reasonable level of fitness or technique is required, as these trips can require sustained endurance levels as the trip may include longer days of approximately 5-6 hours of activity or/and in higher altitudes, or snorkelling in strong current.

Hard: These trips are physically demanding and best suited for people with a high endurance level, good level of fitness and exercise regularly. Days can be long around 7-8 hours of activity, often at high altitudes, in remote regions and sometimes without a support vehicle nearby. Its streets have hosted Tsars, Emperors and Communist leaders, welcomed home the world’s first space traveler and inspired artists for centuries.

Following breakfast, check our and transfer to Leningradsky Vokzal station and board the High Speed Sapsan train to St Peterburg – the cultural and historical heart of Russia and home to the Hermitage, one of the largest and most stunning art museums in the world, surrounded by canals, and home to beautiful white nights (when the sun never sets in summer), St. Petersburg is regal and inspiring.

Upon arrival in Moskovsky Vokzal station, meet and greet with local representative and transfer for dinner.

DAY 5 ST PETERSBURG DAY TOUR (B,L,D)

• THE ADMIRALITY BUILDING is one St. Petersburg’s oldest and most important buildings, opposite the Winter Palace and the focal point for three of the city’s main central streets.
• THE SUMMER GARDEN the city’s oldest park and once functioned as a private retreat for Peter the Great
• THE MARIINSKY THEATRE was built in 1847 and is one of the most renowned and important theaters in the history of Russian art. It’s stage has seen true legends, the best of the best has performed, acted and played here. Nowadays, it is definitely a highlight and a place you can’t miss visiting once you are in the city.
• PETER AND PAUL FORTRESS is located on Zayachy Island. The fortress houses a cathedral in which the Romanovs are currently buried, as well as an old prison and different exhibitions on the city’s history.
• ST PETERBURG MOSQUE this beautiful mosque (built 1910–14) was modelled on Samarkand’s Gur-e Amir Mausoleum. Its fluted azure dome and minarets are stunning and surprisingly prominent in the city’s skyline.

• PETERHOF is one of St. Petersburg’s most famous and popular visitor attractions, the palace and park at Peterhof (also known as Petrodvorets) are often referred to as “the Russian Versailles”, although many visitors conclude that the comparison does a disservice to the grandeur and scope of this majestic estate.
• THE SHUVALOVKA VILLAGE is a wonderful cultural experience. Visitors can see what life in a northern village was like hundreds of years ago. The modern village of Shuvalovka is a copy of what the community looked like in 1714 prior to the Revolution and in the nineteenth century.

DAY 7 ST PETERSBURG - KAZAN (B,L,D)

• THE WINTER PALACE AND STATE HERMITAGE MUSEUM is St. Petersburg’s most popular visitor attraction, and one of the world’s largest and most prestigious museums in the world. With over 3 million items in its collection, from Impressionist masterpieces to fascinating Oriental treasures. One estimate has it that you would need eleven years to view each exhibit on display for just one minute!

After lunch, transfer to airport for domestic flight to Kazan – is the capital of Tatarstan, which sits within Russia’s official borders, but whose government operates autonomously in many capacities, due to the large populations of ethnic Tatars who live within its borders. A trip to Kazan, to be sure, is like no other experience in Russia, thanks to the city’s millennium of history, the diverse population (and the fact that it manages to live mostly in peace) and a standard of modernity you might not expect outside Moscow or St. Petersburg.

DAY 9 KAZAN TOUR (B,L,D)

• THE HOUSE OF THE MERCHANT MULLIN is a museum in the old Tatar manor and showcases ancient Tatar objects, ancient interior and national costumes. The tour includes: a historical excursion, an interactive a Tatar tea party with delicious sweets and photoshoots in traditional Tatar attire. One floor of the museum is occupied by the “Museum of Tatar Hospitality”.

DAY 10 KAZAN - BOLGAR - KAZAN (B,L,D)

Your journey today will include 190 kilometers ride from Kazan: you will visit Bolgar city, the former capital of the Volga Bulgaria ancient state. Bolgar is not just a regional monument. It’s an official UNESCO World Heritage Site acknowledged as an integral part of the history of the entire Russian nation. In fact, Bolgar was the first protected heritage site in all of Russia.

• THE WHITE MOSQUE is a modern construction. It is open in the summer of 2012. The best works of Islamic architecture around the world served as inspiration for its construction. The ensemble of the White Mosque is a prayer square with a refined arcade of 88 eastern columns, refined minaret towers and a main dome with skillfully stained-glass windows.

From here, we transfer back to Kazan and check out from hotel. Proceed for dinner following which we transfer to airport.

Tour Itinerary:

Day 1: explore rinca island.

Our team will pick you up from your hotel or airport at 09.30 am in Labuan Bajo. Check-in at the harbor at 10.00 a.m. and then get on the boat at 10.30 a.m. The first to visit is Kelor Island, and then Rinca Island. After that, continue to Kalong Island. You will overnight on the boat at Kalong Island.

Day 2: Explore Padar Island

Early in the morning, you will trek on Padar Island. Enjoy sunrise with a beautiful view of the island. After that, you will continue sailing to Pink Sand Beach. And then visit Manta Point and Taka Makasar. The Komodo Island boat tour will be on Padar Island overnight.

Day 3: Siaba and Kanawa Island

Today you will visit Siaba Island, enjoy snorkeling, and the beautiful white sand beach on the island. After that continue to Kanawa Island. And then back to Labuan bajo. You will arrive at Labuan Bajo around 14.00, depending on the sea conditions.

Cancelation and Change the Travel Date:

• The cancelation made 5 months before the trip will be refunded 50% of the total amount of payment.
• Cancelation made 3 months before the departure will refund 25 % of the total amount of payment.

• Changes to the departure date are subject to availability, and if there is no availability on the chosen date, the available date applies. The refund is subject to the cancelation policy.
• Reschedule or change the departure date is applied at a maximum of 30 days before the departure date. If the reschedule is made in less than 30 days, there will be a surcharge of 5 % of the total payment.
