Tom Cruise posed for a rare photo with his adult kids Bella, 31, and Connor, 29 .

Though the picture is going viral now, it was posted on Instagram in December 2023 by former Tampa Bay Buccaneers linebacker Derrick Brooks. 

“I was a little star-struck but played it cool and he said he was too,” Brooks wrote, in part. 

In the group photo, Cruise, 61, stands in the front row with Connor, who wears a blue vest. Bella smiles as she peeks her head over the shoulder of another woman.

It has been years since Cruise has been publicly photographed together with both Bella and Connor.

Cruise shares Bella and Connor with ex-wife Nicole Kidman. He is also dad of daughter Suri, 18, from his marriage to Katie Holmes.

Bella is an artist and “has been drawing ever since her wee hands could pick up a pen,” according to her website, where she sells tote bags, graphic T-shirts, and limited-edition prints. 

Connor, a former DJ, is an avid fisherman and won a tournament in 2022 after reeling in a 301-pound Warsaw grouper . 

Bella and Connor, like their father, are members of the Church of Scientology. 

In 2010, Cruise opened up to Esquire about the moment he became a dad through adoption.

“I remember that first night, just staring at Bella. I was checking her every second, just looking at her, feeling that immediate bond. I was probably looking at her so much that I was keeping her up,” he said. “I made a promise to her: All I can do is the best I can. But I’m not going to say I'm gonna do something and then not do it.”

“If I tell you we’re gonna have ice cream on Friday night, we’re gonna have ice cream on Friday night,” he continued. “If I say I’m gonna take your call anytime you need me, and I’m in the middle of something on the set, my world is gonna stop for you. I made that promise to all of my kids.”

As of March 2024, he was still sharing grilling tips on his Instagram page, Connor's Meat Shack . It's believed he still lives in the Clearwater, Florida, area, where the Church of Scientology owns numerous properties, as he is a lifetime member.

Connor was last photographed in public in July 2023 in New York City, accompanying his dad to a promotion event for his film Mission: Impossible ​– Dead Reckoning Part One , although he did not pose on any red carpet and stayed behind the scenes.

An eyewitness told E! News that the group appeared to be "in a good mood," noting that they were laughing as they left the trendy Italian eatery.

As seen in photos exclusively obtained by E! News, Patrick, 43, happily chatted with Connor, 27, on the sidewalk following their meal. At one point, the actor gave a thumbs up to Connor before going their separate ways.

Despite having friends in Hollywood, Connor has largely remained out of the spotlight. In fact, he's an avid outdoorsman with a passion for the open seas, primarily using social media to share photos of his fishing expeditions and catch of the day. Last year, he launched an Instagram account dedicated to grilling and barbecue .

The Florida-based fishing enthusiast is the second child of Tom and Nicole, who adopted Connor and his 29-year-old sister Isabella during their 11-year marriage . In a rare comment about her older children, Nicole⁠—who's also mom to daughters  Sunday , 13, and Faith , 11, with husband Keith Urban⁠ —told Australia's Who Magazine in 2018 that Connor and Isabelle "have made choices to be Scientologists" like Tom, adding, "As a mother, it's my job to love them."

Like Connor, Patrick is also a Scientologist, having helped open a new church outpost in Los Feliz, Calif., in 2013.

Tom Cruise made a rare public appearance with his son at a Los Angeles Dodgers game this past weekend.

The Mission Impossible star, 59, was seen with his 26-year-old son Connor Cruise at Saturday's game Game 2 of the National League Division Series in San Francisco, with the Dodgers facing off against the San Francisco Giants.

Tom was photographed sitting next to Connor in the stands, where he paused to take photos with fans while watching the game. The actor kept warm in a navy jacket while his son wore a black-and-white baseball hat and a black hoodie.

The father-son duo was last publicly photographed together in October 2019 in London. At the time, Tom and Connor were seen walking to a private helicopter.

Connor and his sister, Bella , were adopted by Tom and his ex-wife, Nicole Kidman before they split in 2001. Cruise also shares 15-year-old daughter Suri with ex-wife Katie Holmes .

Both of Cruise's eldest children "are completely dedicated Scientologists just like Tom," a source told PEOPLE in 2019.

Kidman, who does not practice Scientology, told the Hollywood Foreign Press Association in 2018 that she loves and supports her children while keeping them out of the spotlight.

Despite their famous parents, both Bella and Connor keep their personal lives private. Bella lives in London with her husband, Max Parker, while Connor was most recently living in Clearwater, Florida, near the Scientology headquarters.

While he previously dabbled in both acting and DJing, Connor is spending much of his time deep-sea fishing and barbecuing, according to his Instagram .

"Connor has a pretty simple life in Clearwater," a source told PEOPLE in 2018. "He lives in his own home in a Scientology community. His life is deep-sea fishing. He has a lot of friends and seems very well-liked."

Shortly after adopting Bella, Nicole and Tom adopted Connor who, like his older sister, is creative and even tried his hand at acting, following in his parents' footsteps. In 2008, he gained a credit in the film Seven Pounds  and in 2012 he appeared in  Red Dawn.

However, in recent times, he's stepped away from the spotlight and launched his own business, Connor's Meat Shack. Though he does often make public appearances for example at Fashion Week earlier this year.

As the children grew up and after Tom and Nicole's divorce in 2001, there were reports that the children had, like their dad, joined the church of scientology. This then fuelled reports that Bella and Connor had a more strained and distant relationship with their mother, Nicole, who does not identify as a Scientologist.

However, in recent times, Nicole has emphasized her loyalty to her children and dispelled rumours of a falling out. 

In a candid interview with Who in 2018, Nicole expressed her philosophy of tolerance and open-heartedness: "I am an example of that tolerance and that’s what I believe – that no matter what your child does, the child has love and the child has to know there is available love and I’m open here."

She also told the Sun the following year: "Motherhood is about the journey. There are going to be incredible peaks and valleys, whether you are an adopting mother or a birth mother. What a child needs is love.

"They have made choices to be Scientologists. It’s our job as a parent to always offer unconditional love."

Tom's relationship with his older children

Last month, fans got an insight into Tom's relationship with his two older children as he was pictured with Connor and Bella at a hockey game. In a rare outing together, the three were seen, among others, smiling for the camera after watching the game.

The photo was shared by former NFL star Derrick Brooks who wrote: "Wow, look who stopped by my office before our [Tampa Bay Lightning] game tonight! @tomcruise." Both Connor and Bella were pictured in the photo, proving they still enjoy quality time with their dad.

Suri Cruise is Tom's youngest and only child whom he shares with ex-wife Katie Holmes . The pair welcomed their daughter in June 2006 and, up until their divorce, were pictured multiple times as a family unit.

Tom and Katie split in 2012 with Katie filing the divorce papers, with reports at the time suggesting that Katie wanted to remove herself and Suri from the church of Scientology.

Since their split, Tom has had a reportedly estranged relationship with his daughter, Suri, now 18 , and the movie star was not present at her recent graduation ceremony in New York.

What's more, photos from inside the ceremony at her high school indicate that Suri had dropped her last name, instead being listed as Suri Noelle.

Katie and her daughter are a tight-knit unit and live together in NYC.

Thomas Cruise Mapother IV, better known as Tom Cruise, was born on July 3, 1962, in Syracuse, New York. The third of four children, Tom was the only son of Mary Lee South and Thomas Cruise Mapother III. Cruise’s mother was an amateur actor and schoolteacher, and his father was an electrical engineer. His family moved around a great deal when young Tom was a child to accommodate his father’s career.

Tom’s parents divorced when he was 11, and the children moved with their mother to Louisville, Kentucky, and then to Glen Ridge, New Jersey, after she remarried. Like his mother and three sisters, Cruise suffered from dyslexia, which made academic success difficult for him. He excelled in athletics, however, and considered pursuing a career in professional wrestling until a knee injury sidelined him during high school.

Breakout Role in Risky Business

His next movie, Risky Business (1983), grossed $65 million and become one of the most profitable movies at the box office that year. It also made Cruise a highly recognizable actor—thanks in no small part to a memorable scene of the young star dancing in his underwear.

Top Gun and Top Gun: Maverick

In 1986, after a two-year hiatus, the budding actor released the big-budget fantasy film Legend , which did poorly at the box office. That same year, however, Cruise’s A-list status was confirmed with the release of Top Gun , which co-starred Kelly McGillis, Anthony Edwards, and Meg Ryan . The testosterone-fueled action-romance, set against the backdrop of an elite naval flight school, became the highest-grossing movie of 1986.

Decades later, Cruise returned to his role as fighter pilot Pete “Maverick” Mitchell in the action-packed sequel Top Gun: Maverick (2022), which picks up more than 30 years after the original. Critics heaped praise on the movie, and in addition to becoming the second highest-grossing film of the year, it earned an Oscar nomination for Best Picture.

Cruise is set to star in a third movie, Top Gun 3 , which doesn’t yet have a release date.

The Color of Money , Rain Man , and Born on the Fourth of July

Cruise followed the tremendous success of the original Top Gun with a string of both critically acclaimed and commercially successful films. First up was The Color of Money (1986) with co-star Paul Newman , then Cruise worked with Dustin Hoffman on Rain Man (1988). Cruise’s next role, as Vietnam veteran Ron Kovic in the biopic Born on the Fourth of July (1989), earned him an Academy Award nomination and a Golden Globe for Best Actor.

A Few Good Men , The Firm , and Interview with a Vampire

In 1992, Cruise proved once more that he could hold his own opposite a screen legend when he co-starred with Jack Nicholson in the military courtroom drama A Few Good Men . The movie grossed more than $15 million its first weekend and earned Cruise another Golden Globe nomination. He continued to demonstrate his success as a leading man with The Firm (1993) and Interview with the Vampire (1994), which co-starred Brad Pitt.

Mission: Impossible Franchise

Next, Cruise hit the big screen with another huge action hit: the $64 million blockbuster Mission: Impossible (1996). In addition to starring in the movie, Cruise also served as a producer. The movie’s popularity spawned another action franchise for Cruise.

The long-awaited smash hit Mission: Impossible 2 arrived in 2000 followed by the also popular Mission: Impossible 3 in 2006. However, Cruise was faced with a professional setback that August when Paramount Pictures ended its 14-year relationship with the actor. The company’s chairman cited Cruise’s erratic behavior and controversial views as the reason for the split, though industry experts noted that Paramount more likely ended the partnership over the actor’s high earnings from the Mission: Impossible franchise.

Ultimately, Cruise and Paramount patched up their relationship and have continued adding films to the franchise. That includes Mission: Impossible—Ghost Protocol (2011), Mission: Impossible—Rogue Nation (2015), Mission: Impossible —Fallout (2018), and most recently, Mission: Impossible—Dead Reckoning (2023).

Jerry McGuire , Eyes Wide Shut , and Magnolia

The same year as the first Mission: Impossible movie, Cruise landed another hit with the highly acclaimed Jerry McGuire (1996), directed by Cameron Crowe. The star secured a second Academy Award nomination and won his second Golden Globe for Best Actor.

Cruise and then-wife Nicole Kidman spent much of 1997 and 1998 in England shooting Eyes Wide Shut , an erotic thriller that was director Stanley Kubrick ’s final film. The movie came out in the summer of 1999 to mixed reviews, but that same year, Cruise enjoyed greater success with the release of Magnolia . His performance as a self-confident sex guru in the ensemble film earned him another Golden Globe Award and an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor.

Vanilla Sky and The Last Samurai

In 2002, Cruise starred in Vanilla Sky , his second collaboration with director Cameron Crowe, as well as Steven Spielberg ’s Minority Report . The following year, Cruise traveled to Australia to shoot the $100 million war epic The Last Samurai, which earned him another Golden Globe nomination.

War of the Worlds

Cruise proved he remained a top draw by starring in the Steven Spielberg –directed remake of the science-fiction classic War of the Worlds (2005), which grossed more than $230 million at the box office.

The third Mission: Impossible movie added to his list of credits in May 2006, but three months later, his partnership with Paramount Pictures, the franchise’s studio, ended. Cruise quickly rebounded with an announcement early that November: He had a new partnership with film executive Paula Wagner and the United Artists film studio. Their first production as a team, the political drama Lions for Lambs (2007), proved a commercial disappointment despite a strong cast that included Meryl Streep and Robert Redford .

Tropic Thunder

Taking a break from weighty material, Cruise delighted audiences with his performance in the comedy Tropic Thunder (2008). Despite his relatively small role in a movie that featured Robert Downey Jr. and Ben Stiller , Cruise stood out by obscuring his trademark good looks to play a balding, obese movie studio executive.

Valkyrie and Rock of Ages

In December 2008, Cruise released his second project through United Artists. The film, Valkyrie , was a World War II drama about a plot to assassinate German leader Adolf Hitler . Cruise starred as a German army officer who became involved in the conspiracy.

Breaking into new territory after another entry in the Mission: Impossible franchise in 2011 , Cruise starred in the 2012 musical Rock of Ages . Although Cruise received some positive reviews for his performance as a rock star, the movie failed to attract much of an audience.

Jack Reacher , Edge of Tomorrow , and The Mummy

Returning to his mainstream action roots, Cruise anchored the 2012 crime drama Jack Reacher , based on a book by Lee Child. He then headlined a pair of science-fiction adventures: Oblivion (2013) and Edge of Tomorrow (2014). Showing no signs of slowing down, the veteran actor in 2015 delivered his usual high-energy performance for the fifth installment of his blockbuster Mission: Impossible franchise .

In 2016, Cruise reprised the role of Jack Reacher for Jack Reacher: Never Go Back . He then headlined a reboot of The Mummy (2017), which performed respectably at the box office but was savaged by critics, before earning better reviews later that year for the crime thriller American Made .

Cruise is one of the most prominent celebrity members of the Church of Scientology . He became a student of the religion, founded by writer L. Ron Hubbard, through his first wife, Mimi Rogers. Cruise credited the church with curing his dyslexia, and he soon became one of its leading proponents.

In 2005, Cruise made headlines as an outspoken Scientologist. He openly criticized his former Endless Love co-star Brooke Shields for using anti-depressants during her recovery from postpartum depression. In June 2005, after a two-month courtship, Cruise proposed to Holmes in a restaurant at the top of the Eiffel tower. In October, they announced that they were expecting their first child together. The hasty proposal and surprise pregnancy quickly became tabloid gossip.

In 2006, Cruise and Holmes welcomed their daughter, Suri. Tom Brady opens up about 'challenge' of raising kids with ex Gisele Bündchen

The former new england patriots quarterback shares two kids with his ex-wife, and a son with bridget moynahan.

Tom Brady has had a lot of adjusting to do in the past couple of years, but through it all, being a dad will always be his priority.

The former New England Patriots quarterback, in the span of a few months, both said goodbye to his career of over 20 years, and finalized an unexpected divorce from Gisele Bündchen , his wife of 13 years.

Now, he is giving insight into his new chapter as a retired athlete and co-parenting dad, which has proved to be his busiest ever.

During an appearance in New York City at Fanatics Fest, hosted by billionaire Michael Rubin, of "White Party" fame , Tom opened up to sports journalist Stephen A. Smith about what's keeping him the busiest these days.

"I got a lot of things that keep me busy, but still trying to be a great dad and be there for my kids," the NFL legend shared, per PageSix , noting: "All the parents out there know that it's a challenge to be a good parent.

THE BRADY BUNCH

With Gisele, Tom shares son Benjamin, 14, and daughter Vivian, 11, plus he also shares son Jack, 16, with ex Bridget Moynahan, who he briefly dated prior to his marriage to the Brazilian supermodel.

Tom then added: "All the kids I hope you appreciate your parents too! Because there's a lot of work they put into making your life a little easier."

The doting dad recently returned from a trip with his kids to Paris for the 2024 Olympics. Asked if the kids "run" his life, he declared: "Absolutely, yes," and further joked: "Every time they call me I know there is a request because when they don't call I don't hear from them," adding: "And when I don't hear from them I know they don't want anything."

Still, despite his cheeky jab, he did note that as his kids "get older and start to have the responsibilities of an adult," they've begun to "appreciate" more and more the sacrifices of a parent.

"When you're working hard to be a dad and also provide for the family that does come with being away a bit and being really focused on my job," he added of his busy schedule.

Tom was also recently busy celebrating his 47th birthday. Taking to Instagram on August 3 to mark the occasion, he shared a round of photos from his past year, and wrote in his caption: "The lost files from 46! What a special year with these beautiful kids, the best family and friends anyone could ask for, and all of you!"

"Here's to making 47 our best year yet… Also, you get to post a selfie on your birthday, everyone chill out."
