Snorkeling & Beach Dolphin Cruise

Cruise Description

This cruise is a 3 hour combination trip which includes 90 minutes of snorkeling followed by a 90 minute dolphin cruise. It is inshore snorkeling therefore we pull up close to a beach. It is initially about 6 feet getting off the boat and into the water, however upon entrance you can go as shallow (all the way to the shore line) or as deep (up to about 25 feet) as you feel comfortable with.

Snorkeling equipment and life jackets are provided for all ages. Snorkeling equipment is sanitized after each use.

Our afternoon trips consist of a 90 minute sightseeing dolphin cruise. They begin this trip with a 10-15 minute harbor tour through the Destin Harbor followed by cruising out into the Gulf of Mexico to look for dolphins and also let the kids captain the boat.

During hot summer months, this is considered a “wet” cruise because our deckhands spray water canons to keep our patrons cool. Therefore we recommend wearing attire you do not mind getting wet in.

Sunset Dolphin Cruise

$40.00   Adults $20.00  Children ages 5-15 $4.00 Toddlers 4 & under

This is a 2 hour sunset sightseeing dolphin cruise which begins with a 20-minute harbor tour through the Destin Harbor. They then make their way out into the Gulf of Mexico and cruise up and down the beachfront sightseeing, looking for dolphins, and allow the kids to captain the boat. Towards the end of the trip the captain cruises into the Bay area to watch the beautiful Destin Sunset.

Red, White & Blue Fireworks Cruise

Thursdays Only  8:30 – 9:30 pm *Offered Memorial Day through Labor Day*

This cruise is NOT a dolphin cruise . The trip begins with a short boat ride either in the Gulf or Bay (depending on sea conditions). The boat will then park near the fireworks barge. After the fireworks show they will end the cruise with a tour of the Destin Harbor.

Fireworks usually shoot off at 9:00.

Fourth of July Fireworks Cruise

Similar to our regular Thursday night fireworks cruise, this trip is NOT a dolphin cruise . This cruise lasts 90 minutes and begins with a tour of the Destin Harbor. After the tour of the harbor, the boat will park near the fireworks barge so you have a beautiful view of the show. After the fireworks show we take you for a boat ride either in the Gulf or Bay (depending on sea conditions).

What To Bring

• Customers may wish to bring extra cash for purchasing souvenir family pictures and tipping the crew.

• Sunscreen lotion (Needs to be applied before you board)
• ID (If you plan to drink any alcohol aboard the boat)

Restrictions

• The tour boat has a capacity of 80 passengers
• This is a non-smoking boat
• No comfort animals or pets permitted
• Alcoholic beverages are limited to 2 per adult
• No outside beverages or coolers permitted
• First come first served seating, if you are a large group and would like to sit together, please be there at the time of trip check in (1 hour prior to cruise start time).

Additional Information

• BOARDING PASSES MUST BE PICKED UP AT THE TICKET BOOTH 1 HOUR PRIOR TO CHECK IN. IF YOU MISS YOUR TRIP, YOU CAN NOT BE REFUNDED OR RESCHEDULED
• Destin traffic is horrible during the Season. Allow ample travel time to fight the Destin traffic, find Parking, and walk down to the Booth
• There is a chance that you may get splashed on the daytime cruises, so feel free to bring a towel and dress accordingly.
• Restrooms are available aboard the boat (located downstairs)
• If weather or wind is unfavorable for your tour and the vendor calls off the trip, another day will be scheduled, or the customer may receive a full refund. If the trip is cut short by the captain, a rain-check will be issued instead of a refund. Boat is not handicap or wheelchair accessible. Passengers must be able to get out of the wheelchair and sit in seats provided on the boat. The boat cannot have any wheelchairs or strollers open. Deckhands are available to help customers on the boat if needed but customers must be able to walk. Chairs and strollers can be left at the booth.

Reservation Requirements

• You must arrive 1 hour prior to departure and check in at the ticket booth to get a boarding pass, they will tell you where you will need to line up at. Our booth is located on the right side of the AJ’s Seafood and Oyster Bar Restaurant on the Destin Harbor. It is a blue booth that says AJ’s Water Adventures on top.
• If you are with a group but booking separately, we ask that you put in the booking reservation comments section the name of your party so we may assure your entire group is on the same boat. Example: A pair of couples want to enjoy the SeaQuest together but pay separately, both couples would insert “smith party” into their booking reservations comments to be grouped together

Where is the best place to spot Dolphins in Destin? Dolphins, which are not migratory mammals, can be seen here year-round.  Great places to spot them are in and around the Destin Harbor, the Destin East Pass, and the Choctawhatchee Bay.

Are there any specific tips to finding and seeing Dolphins? Contrary to what you may think…Dolphins like wakes created by boats , so keep an eye out there. Also, when in shallow waters, they tend to hang out in pods of 4 to 7, so it is not usual that when you see one Dolphin there is a good chance others are close by.

Went on the two hour cruise yesterday at 6pm, and we all had a great time, especially the kids. The crew had the kids and adults laughing the entire time. I wanted to video the whole trip there were so many funny antics. My kids were asking today if we could go again. The weather for the 6pm sailing was great for July since it had rained earlier in the day and therefore not too hot.

Great hosts and a wonderful family atmosphere for my kids and grandkids. I highly recommend this cruise for a fun sunset evening. Wish more companies were as full of integrity as this one.

Had a nice time staying at this Condo for a family trip.    Sep 03, 2024

Other family stayed nearby and we were able to easily walk to their place. Everything looked like the photos, neighborhood was very walkable and quiet. Dan was responsive and answered my texts promptly when I had any questions. Great place for a couple to stay, the high ceilings made it feel bigger than it seems! If you come during a holiday or peak season though, you might want to drive to another nearby public beach access to go to the beach because it was packed! And the surrounding private beaches around the seacrest beach access made it so everyone was squashed together on a tiny sliver of beach. We ended up not going to the beach that day and spent the day at the giant pool area instead.

We had a great stay! The house is so close to Rosemary and Alys Beach which both have great restaurants to choose from. Super easy to take the tram to and from the beach, lovely pool area, and we loved using the bikes to bike to breakfast.

Tips: Follow the green check in signs to find the pool guest area for your welcome packet and bring beach towels. Being provided with bikes at the place was a game changer and made our stay so wonderful. Bike to the pool, beach, or shops! It’s all beautiful, close together, and an awesome getaway.

The bikes were nice to have. We spent most our days out and just slept in the place, which was cool and quiet. We really enjoyed all the local bars and restaurants. Wristbands provided for pool and beach access and tram was convenient. Just a heads up, if you are staying during busy season, there is only a tiny section of available beach in between several private properties, and you’ll be sitting about a foot away from everyone else there.
