Is there a passenger ship available to Chennai, India from Dubai?

Hi, I am Vijay. I live in sharjah now. I am leaving to India by march. I always wanted to travel long distance by sea so is there a ship or cruise available to Chennai? even kerala would do.? I heard about marine queen kudukudachi which is a ferry and takes passengers from Dubai to India and vice versa I googled it and i got nothing. Do any of you guys know anything about this!? Hi - I know there are cruise ships that go from Dubai to India (Mumbai, Goa, Kochi) - but not all the way to Chennai. I know Royal Caribbean (which is a very good cruise line) does ([original link] but the cruises are roundtrip. You would have to check to see if you can disembark in India (usually not). I have not heard about Marine Queen Kudukudachi and I don't believe there are any ferries between Dubai and India. All the best!

There used to be one ship that travels from uae to south india.. name is AL SALAM TABA. they began the service back in 2001. but don't know the status of the ship right now. some say its been decommissioned.

Singapore’s Resorts World Cruises chooses Dubai for 6-month ship deployment

Resorts World Cruises confirms Dubai for 6-month homeport deployment

Dubai: Another leading global cruiser operator is intent on making headway in the UAE and wider Arabian Gulf seascape.

The Singapore headquartered Resorts World Cruises will have its Resorts World One (RW1) anchor in Dubai on a six-month homeport deployment. The RW1 cruise liner intends to offer a ‘boutique lifestyle and entertainment voyage through the Arabian Gulf’ over the period.

Starting November 1, the vessel will homeport and depart from Dubai, whereby travellers have the option to embark from the emirate to popular destinations within the Gulf waters. (They can also call on a 24-hour all-butler service as part of The Palace, an all-suite concept for a private club onboard experience.)

Resorts World One is expected to make 75 calls in the region with 150,000 passengers over the six-month period. “We are offering an introductory price starting from $150 per person, inclusive of up to five meals, world-class entertainment, and a range of recreational activities,” said Michael Goh, President, Resorts World Cruises.

The itineraries include a two-night Sir Bani Yas weekend cruise; a three-night Oman cruise to Khasab and Muscat; and a two-night Doha cruise. Guests have the option to combine two or all three of the itineraries to increase the cruise length to a four-, five- or a seven night cruise.

Resorts World Cruises has homeports in Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Indonesia. “The deployment of the Resorts World One cruise ship symbolises boundless opportunities for travelers to explore, discover, and create unforgettable memories,” said Goh.
