The ultimate performance package for your 2019+ ford ranger, ford engineered the new ranger as a rugged, sturdy, reliable pickup for a multitude of uses, but left a lot of room for improvement in its aesthetics and off-road capability. this is where we stepped in, and sought to engineer a conversion package that brings real off-road performance and styling to the ford ranger with a combination of aesthetic and performance upgrades, all at an affordable price. a true carbon fiber wide body system made of 100% aerospace-grade carbon fiber adds 10-inches of width to the truck and allows for fitment of up to 35-inch tires and up to 12.75-inches of suspension travel. the prorunner series 1 package long-travel suspension system includes +3″ wider upper and lower control arms, billet extended tie rods with fk rod ends, extended cv axle shafts (4wd trucks only), front hub centric wheel rings and rear wheel adapters with black lug nuts, all designed and manufactured by apg. the prorunner series 1 package does not include wheels, tires or shocks, allowing owners to choose based on their personal preference. the series 1 package can be applied to 2wd or 4wd trucks. all prorunner body panels and components are designed, engineered, and manufactured in california. the apg prorunner conversion is engineered for maximum off-road performance, without sacrificing on-road drivability. most of our customers actually prefer to daily drive their prorunner rangers.

Installation

APG offers a white-glove installation of our ProRunner conversion system. We handle the entire process of installing suspension, wheels, tires, paint, aftermarket accessories, and more at our world-class facility, APG HQ, in Garden Grove, CA. Typical build time for a Series 1 ProRunner conversion is two weeks. Any added accessories or parts such as rear bumper, roof rack, auxiliary lighting, winch, etc will add to the overall build time.

The FOX Performance Series 2.0 Podium QS3 shock kit is a designed specifically for the Thumper Fab Long Travel Suspension Kit. Take your Ranger from a capable utility vehicle to a full-on sport vehicle to tackle the kind of off-road terrain that will leave you grinning ear to ear.

The Podium 2.0 QS3 shocks replace your stock emulsion shocks with an internal floating piston (IFP) system housed in the piggyback reservoirs to keep the gas charge from mixing with the shock oil. This keeps the oil from effectively thinning out and losing damping control as the shocks get worked over washboards, rocks, and big dips.

The Quick Switch 3-position compression damping adjustment allows you to quickly set your shocks to adapt to your riding conditions. Set the QS3 to setting 1 for the softest ride on smoother trails or rock crawling. Setting 2 firms things up a bit if you’re carrying extra passengers or gear. Setting 3 gives you bottom-out protection when you put your foot down and catch some air off a dune or sprint off into the desert.

Beyond the extra capability you gain after bolting on a set of FOX Podium 2.0 QS3 shocks, you’ll have peace of mind knowing that they’re ruggedly built with hard-anodized aluminum bodies and reservoirs that resist corrosion, 5/8-inch hard chromed shafts for smooth operation and longer seal life, and are fully rebuildable if you ever damage a part or want to get them custom-valved for a specific riding application.

Why a boxed A-Arm design? A boxed arm will give you increased torsional strength for the strongest control arm design possible. There is more to a Thumper Fab boxed control arm than meets the eye. Underneath the steel cladding is a skeleton design that adds strength exactly where you need it and saves weight. Strength is important but unnecessary weight increases your unsprung mass and reduces your shock’s ability to compensate. The Thumper Fab design adds strength and reduces weight for optimal ride quality.

ZBROZ EXIT Coilover Shocks  -  ZBROZ X1 Series EXIT Shocks take your ride to the next level of driving performance. Whether it’s racing through the mountain trails, high speed desert rally action or those challenging rock crawling lines, the X1 Series Exit Shocks offer easy compression adjustability at the turn of dial and up-to 2" of true suspension lift. MADE IN THE USA! For CAB models or heavier vehicles, we recommend our HD Spring Kit.

OEM Shocks -  When this option is selected, you can reuse your OEM shocks. You will still benefit in overall ride quality with your Long Travel Kit. You can always upgrade to our custom tuned ZBROZ EXIT Coilover Shocks at anytime.

EASY INSTALLATION▸

We offer professionally installed bushings and ball joints for easy installation. When you select the options below, we take the hassle out of pressing in your bushings and ball joints yourself. Utilizing our precision press operation, we are able to ensure your bushings and ball joints are correctly installed and not hammered or pressed in a way that would reduce their quality and lifespan.

OEM Bushings – We offer OEM bushings for a high level of quality, vibration, and harshness control.

OEM Ball Joints – We do not recommend OEM ball joints for this kit. Our kit does allow you to reuse your stock ball joints but we recommend Uniball or Keller for extreme use.  

Uniball – Our uniball bearing replaces the use of a ball joint for extreme levels of performance and strength. Commonly used in harsh racing conditions. Our patent pending control arm design allows you to run either a uniball or a ball joint for your desired use! (Uniball will replace only the top ball joint, Keller will be run for the lower ball joint)

We make it EASY to install this entire kit! We provide complete Cobra Axle replacement axles with inner and outer CVs that come fully assembled. Both of these axles are COMPLETE with no need to disassemble and reassemble your OEM axles with longer bars. Rzeppa style CV’s that will achieve high angles, articulate freely, with no binding, and extend further than stock axles. We use the highest quality CV boots to keep the elements out and the grease in.

Great tie rods that even come with extra boots and zip ties.

Beefy long travel. Installation was easy.

The system was east to install and functions as planned. Only issue is if you choose to use your existing shocks the shocks can't keep up with the new suspension. the after market shocks will be the only way to maximize your new suspension. Other than the stock shock issue the suspension is great!

The TF long travel kit is very nice and so far fits and installs very nicely, the problem came from (communication) I was not informed that the axles were on back order and would not be in the box ,my delivery man had notified me the kit would be in so I started disassembling , now I have my sxs on my lift tying it up , all I ask is would it been to much trouble to send me a email or text letting me know the axles were on backorder?

The 86-97 Ranger & 91-94 Explorer Long-Travel Suspension Kit Stage 4 is a high performance long-travel Front and Rear Suspension Kit for Rangers, Explorers, and Bronco IIs. This kit converts the TTB suspension to use a 12″ Coil-over performance shock. The Rear uses Deaver leaf springs paired with a King Shock 2.5 x 12″ smooth body or 3-tube bypass. This Kit is built for chase and prerunning down in Baja!

The 15 inches of front suspension travel soaks up the whoops, and delivers an amazing ride even through the roughest terrain. This Suspension kit is built for heavy off-road use, no matter if it’s on hard or soft packed dirt.

The Cut N’ Turned Dana 44 TTBs with uniball pivots, uniballs, stainless steel misalignment spacers and a welded differential skid plate for superior durability are paired with 12″ 2.5 King Remote Reservoir Coil-over shocks. The  W-I-Y shock hoops comes with pre-drilled alignment holes, allowing for easy and precise positioning before welding. This suspension system uses a 12″ coil over shock to keep your factory brake booster.

The Cut N’ Turned beams allow for proper camber. We weld the remaining TTB welds that the factory does not complete. Our 1 1/4″ Extended Radius Arms will bring back the correct caster and allows the wheel to travel on a greater arc.

We also offer additional beam plating. Which includes plating the front, back, top, and bottom of both beams. We weld a truss and skid plate to the driver’s beam for additional strength. We replace the stock bushings with 4130 chromoly uniball cups, FK uniballs, and stainless steel misalignment spacers for superior durability. Also a we can modify the Dana 35 TTB to run a Dana 44 spindle, snouts, and hub conversion.

Some Explorers require radius arm pivot boxes to be welded to frame due to boxed frame design.

The Deaver G50 or (G50E, F31) progressive leaf springs are paired with our Explorer extended Shackles, allowing 16 inches of wheel travel. Controlling all of that travel is from two 12″ 2.5 King Remote Reservoir shocks (Explorer Only) . This kit comes with two different shock configurations. Either a smooth body or 3-tube bypass shock. The bypass shock allows for a better suspension tuning. The rear shocks are mounted to a W-I-Y Under-the-Bed shock mount.

The Rangers and Bronco IIs will require a custom bed cage. We recommend using a 2.5 x 16″ King shock to use with our leaf springs. If you would like to purchase shocks please give us a call.

–The Ranger and Bronco IIs do not come with rear  Shocks –

We originally designed this long arm for the ’78-’79 Big Bronco and quickly realized all the rest of you wanted a piece of the action. Now, this kit is specific to Bronco II’s, Rangers & Explorers. Don’t have a solid front axle? No problem. Outsource or spec your favorite front axle and this kit will get you started on your solid axle swap. Our proven Long Travel Extended Radius Arm is Designed for rugged off-road use while enhancing drivability. Fabricated out of 2″ diameter, heavy-wall DOM at a whopping 5/16″ thick! For strength and safety, we designed a separate cast steel head unit to mount to the C-wedges on the axle with your original C-cap or our new ones sold separately . These arms are 10 3/4″ longer than a ’66-’79 Bronco arm, moving the pivot point farther back. This vastly improves suspension travel & articulation but it doesn’t stop there. These arms also improve handling & control for on-road driving.

Fabricated from all new materials; no core charges, no cutting or welding to 40 to 50 year old cast arms. Built-in caster means better alignment and handling. A tight to the frame rear mount holds the arm with a high-quality 1″ bore Teflon lined and lubricated Rod End, keeping it closer to the frame for improved ground clearance and break-over angle. Tons of travel, a tighter turning radius, better ground clearance and improved handling all in one product! Includes arms, head units, rod ends, frame mounts, bushings, and all necessary mounting hardware. Requires at least a 4″ suspension lift for Ranger-based vehicles. C-bushings are sold separately due to vehicle variations and lift height.

This kit includes arms, cross member brackets, specially designed frame brackets with a backside reinforcement, and riser brackets for the brake lines. The arms are the same proven design that we’ve been selling for years! Combine with our Cast C-Wedges, C-Caps, and Spacers to swap in a new Dana 44 or Dana 60! Note that a High Pinion 44 or 60 needs about 8 degrees of caster, 5-6″ lift on this axle will utilize the 4-degree C-Bushings #6004. Any more lift than that use 7-degree Bushings #6007. The caster numbers can be adjusted on all axles depending on what angle the C-wedges are welded onto the axle. Please note these are heavy-duty, they come in two packages totaling 121lbs! Our Extended Long Travel radius arm matched with our long-travel suspension systems allow the Bronco to traverse over almost any terrain. Designed and manufactured by James Duff Inc. It is a tubular & plate steel design that utilizes a secondary cast steel component called a head unit to mount it to the Bronco. This two-piece design not only makes the install easier but also incorporates 4.25 degrees of added caster. When it comes to lifting Bronco front suspension, CASTER IS KING! This extended length radius arm is not only MASSIVELY stronger and offers MORE caster than the OEM design but it also allows up to 37″ tires to fit w/o sacrificing the Broncos tight turning radius.  This arm is a direct fit for all dana 30 & 44 axles made from ’66-’79. 

Q: What axles are these arms compatible with? A:  Our radius arms are designed and engineered to work the factory-equipped Dana 30 or Dana 44 front axle on the Early Bronco Platform. They will also work in the Full-Width High Pinion Dana 44 that comes installed in the ’76-’79 F-150 4×4 or ’78-’79 Big Bronco. If you are wanting to pair them with another axle such as a Dana 60 or Super-Duty 60 then you must ensure that the axle uses the  ford style axle wedges  or you must grind off any brackets that use a different style attachment point and weld on the wedges we sell. 

Q: I ordered these but they are missing the part to bolt on the head unit to the axle!  A:   Correct this kit doesn’t include new c-caps. You must select that option at check out or reuse your factory-equipped C-Cap. Keep in mind we offer the optional c-cap add-on in color-matched powder coat or bare if your C-Caps are in rough shape.

I can’t say much for the functionality of this kit yet, as iv got more parts to order first. But the quality is great. I’m very impressed with how robust the arms are. I can’t wait to get the rest of the parts needed for my Dana 44 swap.
