Equitrek trailers
The ramp feels good and I love the shallowness of it, so inviting, When you are inside with the horses it feels solid. and it tows really well too. Mine is kept outside mostly and is totally dry inside. I used to have a 7.5t lorry and I have had ifor williams trailers (still got a 505) but the equitrek is my favourite.

Could be one of 3 or more things. 1. As Yasand crystal said above - could be a spring tensioning nut, often found on older models of trailers/lorry ramps. 2. Could also be a snapped spring. 3. If you have gas struts (sounds likely) then one or both could have failed. Worth removing and checking the compression on one/both.
