1. smeštaj u studijima ili apartmanima (najam) i prevoz autobusom (ukoliko je potreban);

Akcija se NE odnosi na turističke aranžmane koji se mogu uplatit preko TA SABRA, a TA SABRA nije organizator putovanja, kao ni na dopunske usluge u sklopu navedenih aramžmana (doplata za pogled na more, all inclusive, pomoćni ležaj...), trajekte, avio prevoz, takse, fakultativne izlete i troškove sopstvenog prevoza. Popusti se NE mogu kombinovati i sabirati sa povlasticama navedenim u Sabra Travel Club. Opšta ocena turista: Mišljenja su različita ali preovladavaju pozitivni komentari

Sabra Travel je turistička agencija koja ima poslovnice u Beogradu i Novom Sadu. Ističe se da klijetni često posećuju sajt agencije, koja je dobitnik brojnih nagrada i priznanja iz oblasti turizma. Turisti mogu da kontaktiraju agenciju lako i besplatno, putem internet upita. Turisti navode da agencija nudi različita putovanja, letovanja, zimovanja i praznične aranžmane.

Brojni putnici koji su koristili usluge agencije Sabra Travel , u online diskusijama izražavaju zadovoljstvo. Oni su zadovoljni aranžmanima, i tvde da nije bilo nikakvih komplikacija. Određeni turisti smatraju da agencija zaslužuje sve pohvale zbog svoje posvećenosti klijentima. Dodaju i to da su u letovalištu zaista imali sve uslove koji su im bili predočeni ugovorom koji su potpisali, i hvale kvalitet pruženih usluga.

U online diskusijama se sreću i negativni komentari klijenta, koji tvrde da zaposleni nisu bili previže angažovani i zainteresovani prilikom prodaje aranžmana. Nezadovoljni turisti svedoče da su baš zbog toga, svoje aranžmane kupili kod posrednika, iako je Sabra Travel organizator putovanja. Pojedini forumaši tvde da su vodiči agencije često tihi i neogranizovani.

Na forumu Krstarica, podeljeno je pozitivno iskustvo klijenta, koji su posredstvom agencije Sabra Travel, posetili letovalište Tasos u Grčkoj. Oni hvale izrazito povoljnu cenu aranžmana u septembru, gde je more po njihovim rečima bilo fenomenalno, a vreme sunčano. Zadovoljni turisti tvrde da je agencija ispoštovala dogovor, sobe bile čiste i uredne, a domaćini ljubazni.

Krš agencija, na Skiatosu nas nije niko obišao od predstavnika agencije, klima se doplaćuje 8 eu dnevno, bezobrazluk, vila Fantasia malo bolje od šupe, muzejski primerak sobe, televizor malo veći od telefona tuga pregolema. Ne napomenu da se doplaćuje klima u 21 veku, samo da prodaju aranžman.

Smeštaj u vili Metropol, Nidri je krajnje kritičan... Smeštaj skoro nikad nema tople vode, lampe ne rade, nema vode u vodokotliću koji je pokvaren, peškire nam nisu menjali nijednom za 10 dana, kao ni posteljinu.... Stigli smo u apartman u 9 ujutru da bi nam rekli da će nam sobe biti dostupne tek u 15h. Vodiča smo za deset dana videle jedanput, kada smo joj i ukazale na nedostatke smeštaja, na šta smo dobile odgovor da će poslati nekog od osoblja da to pogleda... Prošlo je deset dana, a i dalje nam se niko nije javio za to. Sve u svemu, užasno organizovano, ne preporučujem... Barem je destinacija lepa.

Pozdrav. Prošle godine u avgustu sa suprugom boravio u Leptokariji sve pohvale Sabri za destinaciju ,prevoz,vodiča,predstavnika na lokaciji putovanja.Mala zamerka telefonom nemoguće dobiti agenciju.

KAKAV JE TO NAČIN DA UKINETE STAJANJE NA FREESHOPU U POVRATKU? TO STE TREBALI DA NAJAVITE KADA SMO UPLAĆIVALI LETOVANJE. VEROVATNO DA NE BIH LETŠVALA PREKO VAŠE AGENCIJE

Uzas!!Dobro za izbegavanje..doduse problem je sto se spajaju putnici iz raznoraznih agencija,subagenti prodaju aranzmane..ali za vodju Marijanu iz Sabre sve najgore..na sve sto joj se kaze gleda kao mutavo tele i kaze znam znam..jutros smo stigli mene i majku zenu od 61 god su stavili da sedimo pozadi kao sardine na moju zalbu da je majka dijabeticar koja prima terapiju i moju povredu noge stopala vodja kaze pa znam!?Odlazi i dolazi za 10 min dovodi i 5 osobu da ugura izmedju nas 4 pozadi jer gle cuda to je slepi putnik koga je prethodni autobus zaboravio!?Posle 3 sata voznje i mog gundjanja da cu da angazujem advokata ubaceni putnik volsebno nestaje ipak se izgleda naslo jos neko mesto..zaista pozadi 5 odrasle osobe pogotovu ako su krupnije ne mogu da sede..takodje cini mi se da doticna -Marijana-sa prilicnim nipodostavanjem gleda na putnike sa juga,oseca se pristrasnost prema putnicima sa severa.Na sta to lici mi smo usle u polasku u Nis ljudi iz Bg su zauzeli sva mesta i izlezavao se gorovo svako od njih na 2 sedista,a u povratku bas je nas stavila da se truckamo na tockovima!!Sramota,doticnoj na cast!!Takodje agent koji pokriva Pilion..on tek nije za komentarisanje..svako dobro nikad vise Sabra nikome preporuka za istu!!!

The primary document that regulates entry during the coronavirus pandemic is Order no. 635-r (March 16, 2020), which is regularly updated. 

Some of the countries on the list include the United States, Britain, Greece, Germany, Tunisia, Israel, Japan, Armenia, Qatar, Portugal, Mexico, Croatia, Belgium, China, France, Denmark, New Zealand, Iran, Peru, Norway and Argentina. Click here for the full list. 

In the meantime, any country with which Russia currently has a travel agreement can serve as the port of departure (however, the transit country must be on the above list).

What type of visa is required?

Those who already have a valid Russian visa - and citizens of the above countries - can enter Russia using that visa. Those who do require a visa can submit their documents at the Russian consulate in their home country.

What is still not possible at this point is obtaining a unified electronic visa (a type of visa that is valid for up to 16 days, takes only four days to process and does not require submitting any documents relating to the purpose of visit). Therefore, in order to receive a regular tourist visa (valid up to six months) it is necessary to have a confirmed accommodation booking or an agreement with a travel agency.

Is a COVID test required?

Yes, PCR tests must be performed no earlier than 48 hours before arriving in Russia. The results must be printed in Russian or English (this is required even if you received a Sputnik-V vaccine shot). If you’re flying with children, they, too, must obtain a test, irrespective of age. And a form for arrivals must be filled in before entering the country.

Who is not affected by the rules? 

These restrictions don’t apply to foreigners with a valid Russian residence permit or those with close relatives. They can enter Russia from any country using any means of transportation, including by land.

They also do not apply to partially recognized republics of Abkhazia and South Ossetia, as well as citizens of Belarus (or those with Belarusian permanent residence permits), Kazakhstan and citizens of the Donetsk and Lugansk national republics. Entering by land is also possible when traveling from Mongolia or China. 

Furthermore, if Eurasian Economic Union citizens cross over by land, they don’t have to submit a coronavirus test or fill out the arrivals form. 

Is vaccination required? 

No. The QR codes required for visiting public gatherings before spring (including cafes, bars, hotels, etc.) are no longer required in the majority of regions. The same goes for various other COVID restrictions: regions have the final say, but almost all have been lifted.

What about masks?

Masks are also no longer a requirement. However, some regions still require people to wear masks in some places, including stores, pharmacies, shopping malls, movie theaters and so on. In Moscow, the rule on masks has been completely lifted, while, for example, in Kaliningrad, some places still enforce them. 

Are there any quarantine regulations in place?

No, you will not be required to quarantine on arrival to Russia. However, if you get sick in Russia, you will have to be quarantined for a period of seven days at your own expense. Those who have come in contact with infected people do not require quarantining (provided they did not contract the coronavirus). 

Important! In many countries, there are still restrictions on LEAVING for the purpose of tourism, so having a Russian visa does not guarantee you will get permission to leave your country. This must be clarified before making any trips.

Travel advisory june 27, 2024, russia - level 4: do not travel.

Do not travel to Russia due to the consequences of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine by Russian military forces. U.S. citizens may face harassment or detention by Russian security officials, arbitrary enforcement of local laws, limited flights into and out of Russia, and the possibility of terrorism. The U.S. Embassy has limited ability to assist U.S. citizens in Russia. The Department has determined that there is a continued risk of wrongful detention of U.S. nationals by Russian authorities. U.S. citizens residing or traveling in Russia should leave immediately.

The U.S. government has limited ability to help U.S. citizens in Russia, especially outside of Moscow. The U.S. Embassy is operating with reduced staffing, and the Russian government has restricted travel for embassy personnel. Furthermore, all U.S. consulates in Russia have suspended operations, including consular services.

There have been reports of drone attacks and explosions near the border with Ukraine as well as in Moscow, Kazan, and St. Petersburg. In an emergency, you should follow instructions from local authorities and seek shelter.

Russia may refuse to recognize your U.S. citizenship if you are a dual U.S.-Russian citizen or have a claim to Russian citizenship. Russia has denied consular officers visits to detained dual U.S.-Russian citizens. The Russian government has forced citizens with dual nationality to join the Russian military and prevented them from leaving the country. In 2022, the Russian government mobilized citizens for its invasion of Ukraine. Military conscription continues.

In Russia, the rights to peaceful assembly and free speech are not always protected. U.S. citizens should avoid protests and taking photos of security staff at these events. Russian authorities have arrested U.S. citizens who joined protests. Moreover, there are many reports of Russians being detained for social media posts.

U.S. citizens should know that U.S. credit and debit cards no longer work in Russia. Due to sanctions, sending electronic money transfers from the U.S. to Russia is nearly impossible.

Commercial flight options are minimal and are often unavailable on short notice. If you wish to depart Russia, you should make independent arrangements. The U.S. Embassy has limited ability to assist U.S. citizens in leaving the country, and transportation options may suddenly become even more restricted.

U.S. Embassy staff generally are not allowed to fly on Russian airlines due to safety concerns. Recently, the FAA downgraded Russia's air safety rating from Category 1 to Category 2. Additionally, the FAA banned U.S. flights in some Russian areas, including the Moscow Flight Information Region (FIR), the Samara FIR (UWWW), and the Rostov-na-Donu (URRV) FIR within 160NM of the boundaries of the Dnipro (UKDV) Flight Information Regions. Country Summary: 

Russian officials have interrogated and threatened U.S. citizens without cause. This includes former and current U.S. government and military personnel and private U.S. citizens engaged in business. U.S. citizens may become victims of harassment, mistreatment, and extortion.

Russian authorities may not notify the U.S. Embassy about the detention of a U.S. citizen and may delay U.S. consular assistance. Russian security services also target foreign and international organizations they consider “undesirable.”

Russian security services have arrested U.S. citizens on false charges, denied them fair treatment, and convicted them without credible evidence. Furthermore, Russian authorities have opened questionable investigations against U.S. citizens engaged in religious activity. U.S. citizens should avoid travel to Russia.

Russia's invasion of Ukraine has destabilized security in southwestern Russia. In October 2022, the Russian government declared martial law in the following border areas with Ukraine: Bryansk, Kursk, Belgorod, Voronezh, Rostov, and Krasnodar. Under martial law, authorities can set curfews, seize property, and restrict movement. The Russian government may detain foreigners, forcibly relocate residents, and limit public gatherings. U.S. citizens should avoid all travel to these areas.

Russian authorities have questioned, detained, and arrested people for “acting against Russia's interests.” Local authorities have targeted people for posting on social media or supporting "anti-Russian" groups and punished individuals for criticizing the government or military. The Russian government's current "LGBT propaganda" law bans discussion of LGBTQI+ related topics. In November 2023, the Supreme Court labeled the so-called "international LGBT movement" as extremist. This decision effectively made it a crime to support the human rights of LGBTQI+ persons in Russia.

Terrorists continue to plan attacks in Russia. The March 2024 Crocus City Hall incident proved they can strike suddenly. Terrorists may target tourist areas, transport hubs, and markets. They may also target government buildings, hotels, clubs, restaurants, and places of worship. Parks, events, schools, and airports are also potential targets.  U.S. government employees under Embassy (Chief of Mission) security responsibility are not permitted to travel to the North Caucasus, including Chechnya and Mt. Elbrus. U.S. citizens should avoid travel to those areas.

The international community does not recognize Russia’s annexation of Crimea and does not acknowledge Russia’s purported annexation of Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson, and Zaporizhzhya. Russia staged its full-scale invasion of Ukraine, in part, from occupied Crimea and there is a heavy Russian military presence in these areas. There is intense fighting across these regions and Russian authorities there have abused both foreigners and locals. Authorities have specifically targeted individuals who are seen as challenging Russia’s authority.

The U.S. Embassy in Kyiv administers consular services to U.S. citizens in Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson, and Zaporizhzhya. However, the conflict limits the Embassy's ability to help U.S. citizens in these areas.

Why travel to Moscow

The Bolshoi theatre is familiar to almost everyone as Russia’s grandest theatre, but what people don’t know is that there are many more bolshoi (big) sites in Moscow that are worth travelling all the way to Moscow to see. For more than 100 years, the world’s biggest bell has been hidden behind the Kremlin’s walls and inside Moscow’s main park (which is bigger than some countries!) there is the world’s largest outdoor ice-rink. Within the walls of the Kremlin, the city’s oldest building the Cathedral of Assumption can be admired in all its 500+ years of age.

For a foreigner who has never visited Russia, Moscow is the perfect stepping stone into this great land of mystery. From the country’s best classical ballet troupes to snow-white troikas trotting through the parks, all the highlights of Russian culture can be had in Moscow without any of the complications that would be expected in other, less developed regions of Russia.

Cheap as Caviar

In Moscow, everything is bargain when with the current foreign exchange rates being what they are. Even caviar doesn’t seem so dear when the exchange rate is at 60rub to the dollar, so go on indulge yourself! Take your 2022 vacation in Moscow and have the best of both worlds, with European luxury at very affordable prices.

Lena, our guide in Moscow was excellent. She was very knowledgable and could answer any question we had for her. We liked that she could pick up on our interests and take us places we might not have thought of to go. When we realized that one of the places we had chosen to see would probably not be that interesting to us, she was able to arrange entry to the Diamond Fund and the Armoury for us. Riding the Metro with Lena was a real adventure and a lot of fun. In Saint Petersburg we found Anna well versed in the history of the Tsars and in the Hermitage collection. Arkady in Veliky Novgorod was a very good guide and answered all of our questions with ease. Novgorod was perhaps a long way to go for a day trip, but we did enjoy it. Vasily was a great driver to have and kept us safe with good humour and skill. We enjoyed ourselves so much, my daughter says she is already planning to return. We would both have no hesistation to recommend ExpresstoRussia to anyone we know.

Just wanted to let you know that My grandson Bruno and I couldn´t have been more pleased with our week in Moscow (6/15 - 6/21). We were absolutely enchanted with the whole experience, including getting lost a couple of times in the Metro during our free time. Although both our guides (both Eleanas) were excellent, I would particularly commend the first one (she took us to the Tatiakov, the KGB tour, and to that beautiful cemetery where so many great Russian artists, authors, composers, musicians, militarists, and politicians are buried). Her knowledge is encyclopedic; and her understanding of today´s Russia as a product of its past was, for us, truly enlightening. I will be taking another tour in Russia, with my wife, within the next two or three years. I will be in touch with you when the time comes. We had a great time both in Moscow and St Petersburg. Your travel agency was excellent in coordinating the whole trip. Everything worked like clockwork. After Backlash, Marvel Gives an Israeli Superhero a New Backstory

The studio said Sabra, a Mossad agent in comic books, will be “a high-ranking U.S. government official” in its next Captain America movie.

When Marvel Studios announced two years ago that it had cast the Israeli actress Shira Haas to play Sabra, a superhero Mossad agent, in its next “Captain America” film, the news was cheered by Israelis and denounced by Palestinians.

The studio said at the time that the makers of the film, “Captain America: Brave New World,” would be “taking a new approach to the character,” but did not elaborate.

The contours of that reimagined character became clearer on Friday when Marvel released a trailer of the upcoming film. The accompanying announcement made no mention of Sabra as an agent of Mossad, the Israeli intelligence service, as she is depicted in comic books, but described her as “a high-ranking U.S. government official.”

The change drew criticism from some who saw it as diminishing Israeli and Jewish representation onscreen. A headline in Haaretz, the Israeli newspaper, proclaimed, “‘Sabra’ Superhero in Marvel’s ‘Captain America’ Stripped of Israeliness Amid pro-Palestinian Backlash,” and one in The Jerusalem Post said , “Marvel removes Jewish superhero Sabra’s Israeli identity for new Captain America movie.”

The American Jewish Committee said on social media that Marvel’s “decision to strip the Israeli identity of Sabra is a betrayal of the character’s creators and fans and a capitulation to intimidation. Sabra is a proud Israeli hero, and should be portrayed as such. Taking away such a central part of her identity would be like making Captain America Canadian.”

It was not clear whether Sabra — alter ego: Ruth Bat-Seraph — still has Israeli origins in the movie, as her superhero name suggests. “Sabra” is a Hebrew word for a local cactus bush that doubles as an affectionate term for native Israelis. It also the name of a refugee camp in Lebanon where Palestinians were massacred in 1982 by a Christian militia while Israeli troops stood by, though the superhero predated that event. Haas appears only briefly in the new trailer, and a Marvel spokeswoman declined to comment.

When Marvel said Sabra would be introduced in this “Captain America” movie two years ago, the prospect drew criticism from Palestinians and their supporters who argued that the comic book character, which dates back to 1980, unduly glorified Israel. The hashtag #CaptainApartheid began to appear on social media.

“The bottom line is that to Palestinians, Marvel having an Israeli superhero whitewashes the occupation,” Sani Meo, publisher of This Week in Palestine, a magazine about Palestinian issues, said at the time.

In the aftermath of Hamas’s Oct. 7 attack in southern Israel, and Israel’s war in Gaza, questions arose anew about how Marvel Studios, which is owned by Disney, would handle the character. Newsweek wrote in October that “Marvel’s Israeli Superhero Poses Huge Headache for Disney.”

Just what kind of character Sabra will be in the film, which is set to be released in February, remains to be seen.

Marvel Superhero Sabra Will Be Israeli in 'Captain America: Brave New World' | Exclusive

M arvel superhero Sabra will be Israeli in Marvel's upcoming "Captain America: Brave New World," according to two insiders with knowledge of the project. The studio had been accused of erasing the character's Israeli background after it became known that in the film's depiction, she's no longer an agent of Mossad as she is in the comics.

Israeli actress Shira Haas plays the character, whose name in the film is Ruth Bat-Seraph and who speaks with an Israeli accent, insiders told TheWrap. As depicted in "Captain America: Brave New World" -- which finds Anthony Mackie taking the Captain America mantle from Chris Evans -- Bat-Seraph is an Israeli former Black Widow who now serves as a high-ranking U.S. government official in President Ross' (Harrison Ford) administration.

The Black Widow program is the one that trained Scarlett Johansson's assassin Natasha Romanoff in previous Marvel movies, and which was revealed to have wide international reach in the 2021 film "Black Widow."

The American Jewish Committee responded to TheWrap's reporting in a statement: "If true, we are glad that Marvel recognized how essential Sabra's Israeli identity is to her character. Superheroes have enough things to worry about. Identity politics shouldn't be one of them."

"We're pleased to learn that Sabra will be retaining her Israeli identity in 'Captain America, Brave New World,' and is still being portrayed by the wonderful Israeli actress Shira Haas. Marvel Studios should be commended for not capitulating to the anti-Israel forces who wanted this character's identity quashed, along with her backstory. We welcome the portrayal of a strong Jewish and Israeli woman on screen, and look forward to seeing how this character is developed in the film," Deborah Camiel, Director of the Anti-Defamation League's  Media & Entertainment Institute told TheWrap.

Backlash to changing the character began in 2022 when Marvel Studios first announced Shira Haas' casting. The studio released a statement at the time that said, "While our characters and stories are inspired by the comics, they are always freshly imagined for the screen and today's audience, and the filmmakers are taking a new approach with the character Sabra who was first introduced in the comics over 40 years ago."

The first Marvel insider added that Sabra's comic backstory was always going to be updated in "Captain America 4," and her change from a Mossad agent to a former Black Widow was not due to recent events or the Oct. 7 attack on Israel.

The negative reaction resurfaced last week after the first trailer for "Brave New World" was released, in which it was revealed that the character was described as a "high-ranking U.S. government official," leading many to believe her Israeli identity had been removed.

In response, the American Jewish Committee said that taking away the Jewish identity of Sabra would be "like making Captain America Canadian."

Tensions are high in the wake of growing antisemitism following the Oct. 7 attacks, from college campuses to the Academy Museum's Jewish Founders exhibit which opened with placards that were deemed by many to be antisemitic. In response, the Academy swiftly altered the exhibit and assembled an advisory group of experts focused on the Jewish community.

Changes from the comics, both minor and major, are par for the course for Marvel Studios as the films often adjust character origins, backstories and motivations. A retcon to make Bat-Seraph a former Black Widow would align with the Marvel Cinematic Universe's post-"Avengers: Endgame" story building.

The Black Widows are likely to be a significant element of the MCU going forward, as evidenced by "Black Widow" star Florence Pugh reprising her role as Yelena Belova in the upcoming "Thunderbolts."

Ukraine Tells China It Is Open to Talks if Moscow Acts in Good Faith

BEIJING/KYIV (Reuters) -Ukraine's top diplomat said on Wednesday, after a day of "very deep and concentrated" talks in China, that Kyiv was prepared for talks on the conflict with Russia provided Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity were fully respected.

Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba, in a video address issued in the evening by his ministry, restated that Ukraine insisted that no agreement could be reached without its participation. He also said he saw no readiness from Russia to negotiate in good faith.

Kuleba is the highest ranking Ukrainian official to travel to China since Russia's February 2022 invasion. He held talks with Foreign Minister Wang Yi for more than three hours, a Ukrainian source in the delegation said.

"I emphasised two principles that must be steadfastly upheld. First, no agreements about Ukraine without Ukraine," he said in his address.

"Second...full respect for Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity. If these two principles are adhered to, we can engage in any discussions and seek any solutions."

Kuleba's ministry, in earlier comments, quoted him as saying that Ukraine was ready to engage "when Russia is ready to negotiate in good faith" but he emphasised "that no such readiness is currently observed on the Russian side".

Russian troops have been inching forward in eastern Ukraine in the 29-month-old invasion ahead of a U.S. election in November that could see the return to the White House of Donald Trump, who has threatened to cut vital aid flows to Ukraine.

China, the world's second largest economy, positions itself as neutral on the war, but declared a "no limits" partnership with Russia days before the 2022 invasion and has hosted President Vladimir Putin for talks, most recently in May.

China has also provided diplomatic backing to Russia and helped keep Russia's wartime economy afloat.

At the conclusion of the Guangzhou talks, a Ukrainian source in the delegation told Reuters that the meeting had lasted "longer than planned. This was a very deep and concrete conversation."

A Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson told a regular press conference in Beijing that both ministers had talked up the need to take a long-term view on building bilateral ties and that China would "continue to expand its food imports from Ukraine".

Mao Ning added that China was concerned by the humanitarian situation in Ukraine.

She also said that both the Russian and Ukrainian sides had "to varying degrees signalled their willingness to negotiate".

"Although the conditions are not yet ripe, we support all efforts conducive to peace and are willing to continue to play a constructive role in bringing about a ceasefire and the resumption of peace talks," she added.

LASTING SOLUTIONS

Kuleba, in his video address, agreed that the two sides had said the conflict required "a just and lasting peace...In other words there is no need to strive for temporary solutions."

The Kremlin told reporters that Kuleba's remark on a willingness to hold talks appeared to tally with Russia's position, but more details were needed.

Russian President Vladimir Putin said in June that Moscow would end the war if Kyiv retreated from and handed over the rest of four partially-occupied Ukrainian provinces, and dropped its NATO ambitions, ideas rejected in Kyiv as an absurd ultimatum.

Kyiv plans a second summit later this year to advance its vision for peace after an initial gathering in Switzerland in June drew dozens of delegations, but not from Russia or China.

Ukraine says it would like its second summit to be hosted by a "Global South" country and that Russia should attend.

With the possible prospect of a Trump presidency looming, there has been a flurry of diplomacy in recent months. Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban visited Kyiv, Moscow, Beijing and Washington this month on what he described as a "peace mission".

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy dismissed Orban's efforts, saying that only actors like the United States, China or the European Union were in a position to mediate.

China and Brazil published a joint six-point peace proposal in May, saying they supported the holding of an international peace conference that both sides in the war would recognise.

'Car bomb attack' investigated in Moscow - amid conflicting reports military officer was target

Initial reports in state media named one victim as a GRU military intelligence officer. Hours later, he was said to be perfectly well.

Russian authorities are investigating a suspected car bomb attack in Moscow that left two people injured, following conflicting reports a military official was targeted.

Footage of the blast, posted on Telegram, appears to show a man and a woman getting into a vehicle before it suddenly explodes.

Initial reports in state media outlets named the two victims as Andrei Torgashov, a GRU military intelligence officer, and his wife.

Citing anonymous law enforcement sources, the Kommersant newspaper reported Torgashov had both feet blown off and was in a critical condition in hospital.

Hours later, reports emerged purporting Torgashov was perfectly well.

The Kremlin-funded broadcaster RT aired what it claimed was a telephone interview with the satellite commander, who said he first heard about the explosion when he was at work.

He was also reported as saying the car involved in the blast was not his and that he lived elsewhere in the city.

Contradicting its earlier article, Kommersant then reported the victim was the officer's namesake, apparently suggesting this may have been a case of mistaken identity.

Accounts from residents at the scene added to the confusion.

"My friend knew [the victim], they are from the same apartment block as Andrei, this officer," a woman called Irina told Sky News, adding she was "blown out of bed" by the force of the explosion shockwave.

Another resident, named Natalya, said she found the incident scary but unsurprising, as "many military live in the area".

Russia 's interior ministry confirmed two people were hurt in the explosion, which it said was caused by the detonation of an unidentified device.

Following the launch of a criminal investigation, the head of the FSB security service, Alexander Bortnikov, told the SHOT Telegram channel the suspect had fled to Turkey, and efforts were under way to extradite them.

Later on Wednesday, Turkey's Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya posted on X the suspect, a Russian national, had been arrested in Bodrum after arriving by plane.

It is the latest in a series of car explosions that have hit Russia since Moscow invaded Ukraine more than two years ago.

The daughter of ultra-nationalist Putin-ally Alexander Dugin was killed in a bomb attack in August 2022.

In May 2023, pro-war blogger Zakhar Prilepin was seriously injured in an attack Russia's foreign ministry blamed on Ukraine.

Kyiv has denied any involvement in the latest explosion, with presidential advisor Mykhailo Podolyak telling an independent Russian media outlet Ukraine had "nothing to do with this".
