Established in 2019. The Swahili word "safari" means "journey", and we want you to be a part of ours! We are a family owned winery who settled in Fredericksburg, Texas during the mid 1800s. We have always enjoyed traveling to different places throughout the years, and wanted to bring our travels to you by bringing in wines from different countries! We currently have wines from Chile & South Africa! We hope our wines can help bring people closer together and be a constant reminder of what life is all about! …

How much does a tasting cost on a Saturday right now?

Our tastings are $24 and you get to choose 5 wines out of a list of 13.

I have a party of 8, too big of a reservation. Will we be able to do wine tasting as walk ins?

Honestly cannot say enough good things about this place...good wine, excellent venue, and absolutely outstanding people! We were glamping nearly next door and wanted to give this place a go...glad me did. Yeah, we showed on a Friday afternoon...was a little slower than a would-be weekend, but we were greeted by Barbara with a gorgeous smile and welcoming attitude. She asked if we had been there before and we responded NO, so she handed us over to Coco and said she would take good care of us...and that she did. Coco is amazing...on so many levels...she's funny, engaging, knowledgeable, a beautiful soul, and just a true Southern Belle. She started off with my wife, asking about her tastes and preferences and finally landed on the Moscato. I an a red wine guy, and Coco ran thru the deep red menu with me, offering up a splash of about six options until I landed on a nice Chilean blend. A. nice, somewhat chewy red with nice leathery notes. Took our drinks outside on their extremely expansive 'country patio' and chilled out to some nice and relaxing live tunes...nice people in attendance and the food (which we didnt partake this time around), looked and smelled great. Next time we are in town, this is an absolute stop...encourage you to do the same...you will not be disappointed.

Safari Winery in Fredericksburg, Texas, is a delightful destination! The views are breathtaking, with stunning landscapes that make for a perfect setting to relax. We enjoyed a wonderful time sampling their spectacular wines and ended up buying two bottles to take home. Our kids were thrilled to see all the animals displayed on the walls, adding a fun element to our visit. The patio area was fantastic, providing a comfortable spot to sit and sip wine while soaking in the beautiful surroundings. Overall, Safari Winery is a must-visit for families and wine lovers alike!

Another themed winery in the heard of Fredericksburg. Safari themed with the decor. Simple outdoors area with live music. We came on a colder day so they had the space heaters out in full force. They do have their own branded bottles of wine, and we received information about their wines. I don't think they are on par with other vineyards in the area for the full ambience, but it was good enough.

Nestled amid rolling vineyards, this winery is a picturesque escape for wine enthusiasts. We came without a reservation and were greeted by the friendliest staff available. The staff was knowledgeable and guided us through a diverse selection of wines. We got a taste of 5 different wines and each sip revealing an interesting story of ingredients and craftsmanship. The vineyard views add a scenic backdrop to the tasting, creating a serene atmosphere. It was a beautiful afternoon and we were able to enjoy some live music. The wine prices align with the quality, and the overall experience makes it a worthwhile retreat for those seeking a blend of exceptional wines and tranquil surroundings. There are no animals! Did not meet our expectation at all! Everyone was friendly but the wine and pizza was overly priced.

To clarify, while we are called Safari Winery, we currently do not have animals on the property. However, we’re excited to share that we are in the process of introducing a safari experience in the near future. We also understand that pricing is an important aspect of the overall experience, and we take your input seriously as we continue to evaluate and improve our offerings. We hope you’ll give us another chance to provide a better experience in the future.

We LOVED this place and wished we had found it earlier than 45 min til closing!!!! The tasting room is dog friendly on top of that! LINDA was so so wonderful and pleasant. We wanted to come back the next day to show her our dog but we had to leave early This will be top of our list for our next Fredericksburg weekend! Indoor, outdoor, wines, and staff - all excellent.

The atmosphere was very welcoming and the staff were out going! Kasey was very knowledgeable of the wine selections and found some perfect wines for my wife and I. We enjoyed or visit so much we ended up joining the wine club.

Barbara was great! She was so sweet and friendly! We were amazed at how knowledgeable she was about all the many different wines there were to try. She was also extremely passionate about the history and spoke highly of the owners, their daughters and all of the staff. She helped me realize that I'm a "dry girl." The malbec and cebernet were my favorite! I was also pleasantly surprised with the Tres Cielos. The hints of jalapeño were so different! (In a good way!)

I kind of had higher expectations for this place. The wine was just okay and the pizza was on the soggy side. The outdoor seating was just regular picnic tables or medal tables. It didn't give the "Safari" vibe we were expecting

While the ambiance is completely different and fun, the staff is my issue. We did a tasting and the young lady helping or providing the tasting was so quiet it was hard to understand. I did enjoy the wine and trying different options! But she definitely needed a bigger voice so we could hear her. Overall it was a fun time!

The Swahili word “safari” means “journey”, and this is where the name “Safari Winery” derived from.

We are a family owned winery who settled in Fredericksburg, Texas during the mid 1800s. We have been here for 6 generations. We love this town, and it is still the only place we have ever considered “home”.

Although Fredericksburg is where we grew up, we have always enjoyed traveling to different places. It is something that has brought our family closer together and continues to do so throughout the years. We decided to build this winery in hopes to bring something new and special to you and your loved ones, and what better way to do that than to bring wines from different parts of the world right to you! We hope our wines can help bring people closer together and be a constant reminder of what life is all about!
