Where to go

Experiences in las vegas, introducing las vegas.

It’s been called Sin City and America’s Playground: a place in the desert that’s simultaneously glittering lights and seedy shadows, shameless luxury and shameful secrets. Las Vegas is the cream cake you know is bad for you but which you have to eat anyway.

As with a visit to any big city, it pays to have a strategy. A discount card will save you money on transport and entrance fees to countless attractions. With a tour guide, you can make sure you catch all the most famous sites, such as the Bellagio Fountain by night, Freemont Street, the wonders of the Strip and the most iconic casinos. The shows change regularly, but you’re guaranteed to see at least one major star among the many performances on offer.

When you just can’t take any more neon and roulette, remember that you’re in the middle of a spectacular desert landscape. The Grand Canyon and spectacular Hoover Dam are just short trips away. You can see the nearby mountains in 4x4s or by hot-air balloon. On the outskirts of Las Vegas, you’ll discover the amazing scenery of Red Rock Canyon, where you can camp under the stars and simply enjoy the silence.

Jennifer Lopez, Bad Bunny and Justin Timberlake are struggling to sell concert tickets: Here’s why

Jennifer Lopez can’t sell concert tickets.

Nor can artists like Bad Bunny, The Black Keys, Justin Timberlake and Pink, according to reports.

Even Coachella was reportedly more lackluster than in previous years.

Yet, Taylor Swift is holding the most profitable concert tour in music history.

And Beyoncé kills it whenever she’s on the road.

While not all artists’ issues are the same, there do seem to be some universal themes impacting the music business.

There are a lot of concerts going on in a post-pandemic world, ticket prices are climbing and it’s not easy to obtain tickets.

The average ticket price for the top 100 tours in the first quarter was a record $123.25 , according to data from concert ticket tracker Pollstar, cited by Business Insider.

Plus, artists may be overestimating their appeal by booking massive venues after delivering one hit.

Last week, Live Nation announced J.Lo’s tour was canceled and the singer/actor was taking time to be with her family and friends.

There was speculation the issue was the pop diva’s crumbling marriage to Ben Affleck.

But sales of her latest album have been weak and the companion film on Amazon Prime Video got panned. J.Lo’s planned Las Vegas residency is also in jeopardy .

Rock duo The Black Keys also scrapped a planned arena tour, while fans flagged that some shows for Troye Sivan, Charli XCX and Wallows appear to be undersold, according to reports.

Reggaeton star Bad Bunny reportedly canceled his Minneapolis show due to poor sales, though a source close to the tour told The Post he canceled one date and that was only because of “extenuating circumstances.”

There have been murmurs that headliners Justin Timberlake and Pink also have been slow to sell tickets, BI reported.

Live Nation, the owner of Ticket Master, clapped back, with a spokeswoman telling The Post Timberlake and Pink “are doing extremely well.”

She also emailed, “Charli XCX and Troye Sivan’s SWEAT tour has multiple sold out dates and is over 70% sold across the board with 4 months left until it kicks off in September,” and the Wallows tour “is selling well.”

Live Nation said it has sold 100 million tickets so far this year, up from the same point last year. In addition, the company said, “Every year some events naturally fall off for various reasons, and in 2024 across all venue types we’ve seen a 4% cancellation rate — which is flat to last year.”

Jane's Addiction 2024 tour brings classic lineup to Phoenix. How to get tickets

tickets and tours in vegas

After reuniting for the first time in 14 years to perform an intimate show in London, the original members of Jane’s Addiction have announced a co-headlining tour with fellow alt-rock legends Love and Rockets, with a Phoenix concert at Arizona Financial Theatre on Thursday, Aug. 15, 2024.

Bassist Eric Avery, who quit Jane’s Addiction in 2010, rejoined the fold in 2022, but guitarist Dave Navarro had to miss the tour they did that year with Smashing Pumpkins due to long COVID-19.

That makes this the first time all four members of the classic Jane's Addiction lineup — Perry Farrell, Avery, Navarro and drummer Stephen Perkins — have toured together since Avery’s departure.

The first time Jane’s Addiction members went their separate ways, in 1991, their farewell tour became the first Lollapalooza festival.

Lead singer Perry Farrell is also credited with having coined the catchphrase Alternative Nation.

Jane's Addiction's second album, “Ritual de lo Habitual,” sent two singles — “Stop!” and “Been Caught Stealing” — to the top of Billboard’s modern-rock charts on its way to going triple-platinum. “The Great Escape Artist,” their 2011 reunion effort, spawned another Top 10 modern-rock hit, “Irresistible Force.”

Jane's Addiction 2024 tour will launch in Las Vegas

Produced by Live Nation, the 23-city tour kicks off on Aug. 9 at Fontainebleau Las Vegas, with concerts in Los Angeles, New York, Toronto and more before wrapping in St. Louis at Evolution Festival on Sept. 29.

Jennifer lopez’s $90 million las vegas residency in jeopardy as comeback album and tour flop.

Jennifer Lopez’s whopping $90 million Las Vegas residency deal is on the rocks.

A source told The Post Tuesday that the Bronx-born entertainer was set to sign on to do a series of shows at the MGM Grand but poor concert tickets and album sales may affect the agreement.

An insider claimed Lopez will receive $1 million a show for 90 dates in 2025 if the deal follows through.

“MGM is watching her not doing well on the road. They are very nervous,” a source close to the situation said. “It’s pretty rare you have a poor tour and then go to Vegas.”

The source also opined that the “Let’s Get Loud” singer should just receive $600,000 to $650,000 for a Sin City residency and be scheduled for fewer shows.

A separate insider claimed no deal with MGM was ever officially signed but that talks have “continued.”

This would not be Lopez’s first residency in Vegas, as she had a successful stint at Planet Hollywood back in 2016.

Page Six reached out to both her and MGM Grand’s reps for comment but did not immediately hear back.

Lopez, 54, is currently in rehearsals to prepare for another show — her greatest hits tour, This Is Me…Live, which kicks off in June.

The name of the US tour was mysteriously rebranded in April. It had initially been called “This Is Me…Now” after Lopez’s latest album , in which she sang about her journey to a rekindled love with Ben Affleck .

Since then, it’s been reported that the married couple are having issues , but last month sources did not hint at that being a factor in the renaming of Lopez’s tour.

“The latest rebrand suggests a pivot from a tour focusing on the new album’s songs to one spanning her discography, a move that may entice listeners who didn’t connect with her latest material,” Variety reported at the time.

In March, the “Love Don’t Cost a Thing” singer also raised eyebrows when she and her team decided to cancel seven shows from her tour — scheduled to take place from Aug. 20 to 31 in Cleveland, Nashville, Raleigh, NC, Atlanta, Tampa, Fla., and New Orleans, respectively — without any explanation.

Her ninth studio LP also made an abysmal debut on the Billboard 200 at No. 38.

However, we’re told the movie star has seen much more success with her latest Netflix film, “The Atlas,” which was No.1 in 55 different countries last weekend.

Earlier this year, Lopez hinted that she may be retiring from music altogether soon.

“The truth is I don’t even know if I’ll ever make another album after this,” the “Jenny From the Block” singer told “Entertainment Tonight” in February.

She added of her most recent album, “It’s such the kind of quintessential kind of Jennifer Lopez J.Lo project, and I really feel very fulfilled, so they really will be collector’s items at a certain point.”
