We booked a wagon tour for Saturday. The restrictions in Nashville had changed several days prior and all tours can only have 8 people now. All other companies seemed to take this restriction seriously and only allow bookings for 8 or less. When we got on we were riding for around 5 minutes when we were pulled over. They took the wagon back and kicked off my party of 4, but allowed the other party which was slightly larger to stay on. They did issue us refunds, but it is pretty upsetting that we could have booked somewhere else had they followed the restrictions in the first place. Luckily, the party bike next door was nice enough to work with us after hearing what happened and allow us to schedule a last minute tour with them. I wouldn't suggest booking with this company unless they decide to follow COVID restrictions and not let a situation like this happen again.

We're appalled by this review. We discussed this before the tour started. Unfortunately your group was the last to book which pushed us over the ridiculous restriction of 8 people. How can you leave a review like this when you went into a bar with 100 people the night before! We immediately issued a refund. Our employees, our families, our business are doing the best we can to be safe and still operate. Our employees have made 20% of what they normally make for the YEAR. We see their struggles and are grateful for them sticking around. Try that, before making a review to again hurt them. We pray your family isn't affected by this, no one deserves it! Yes, we're going to push it, absolutely! We'll fight for our employees, their like family. Have a blessed day!

Tons of fun - first time in Nashville and the staff makes sure everyone has a great time. They take you on a tour around town and you can BYOB they serve to you while you ride.

We came all the way to Nashville from Virginia, Boston, Ohio, and as far as LA. We had 72 hours in the city and we're really excited to make the most of it. 30 minutes before our tour began we were told it was canceled. Our large party of 20 was very inconvenienced as we had to turn our Uber's around and figure out something to do with our day. I wouldn't recommend this purely for the fact that they could cancel on you at any given minute and jack up your schedule. Book this company at your own risk.

I hosted a bachelorette party in Nashville in late July, while researching activities I randomly stumbled upon Off The Wagon and it turned out the be the highlight of our long weekend! Our group opted to go on the 9pm tour on a Friday Evening- there were 8 in our group so we took up the majority of the wagon. Note: You have to bring your own booze. We came prepared with cases of beer and before we got too much into the trip our wonderful driver made a pitstop at a local gas station to ensure the other groups were stocked up! On the wagon there is seating around the perimeter and a wonderful center "island" that is really a 2x4 with cup holders to place your drink so that you can dance! The wagon is greatly crafted and very sturdy! Trust me, dancing is highly encouraged and very much appropriate! Additionally there is lighting and speakers through the whole thing! Off we went on our journey- there is a driver, literally driving a John Deere Tractor and also a bartender/DJ. While you may initially feel super awkward driving down the streets of Nashville, the locals don't seem to bat an eye to this crazy tractor pulled up alongside them at red lights- part of the fun is getting those stopped in cars to bust a move from their driver seat! Our bartender explained that she only works on the weekends and was such a fun personality- she asked for music requests and catered the playlist to our liking- my recommendation would be to get to the front of the wagon so you can be closest to the bar and also the playlist! As you know, pedal taverns are SUPER popular in Nashville- there were times we would be beside one and the riders would literally grab hold to get some aid in going up hills because on those you have to work, on the wagon you just have to drink and bust a move! Our driver was even kind enough to make a pitstop at a local bar for a potty break! I have told so many about the great time our group had on this tour and recommended it to so many. We all laughed about the fun we had all weekend and still do to this day! I can't say enough good things about this business! I will most certainly be coming back! The only disclaimer I can give is be prepared to be a bit sore because you will literally dance your booty off and sometimes the stopping and starting can be a bit rough because again, its a real tractor pulling you!

This is a MUST if you are looking for a fun time in Nashville. We did this as part of a bachelorette weekend and we all loved it so much. I'm not sure on the price but whatever I spent was worth it. We booked for 9pm (which was a great time to do it). They "tractor" you around The Gulch area and through Broadway and then leave you in Broadway to continue the party. Going through Broadway on the wagon was perfect because Broadway is a hot mess at night and so busy. The wagon allowed us to experience it but not in the thick of it walking around! I believe the trip is about an hour- hour and 30. They stop at a gas station so you can use the bathroom and take a break. The bartender on board was awesome. She played music and mixed drinks (BYOB but they pour). Make sure you tip (don't be cheap!). She took cash or Venmo. We also tipped the driver. It can't be easy driving 20 people through Broadway! Get ready to dance, meet new people and drink! Enjoy!

This tour was so much fun! I went with my friends and siblings for my 21st birthday while in town from Chicago, and we all had a blast. We rode with two other groups and it was perfectly fine. The driver was so nice and funny, and the bartender kept our drinks coming. There was a little rain at first, but they had a cover over the wagon so we barely got wet. We were also able to make music requests, which was nice. I would definitely recommend this to others, and I plan on doing it again the next time I visit Nashville! It was the highlight of my weekend!

This was one of the best experiences I have ever had!!! We were in Nashville for two days, and did this on our second night there. The tour went around different parts of Nashville and was so much fun! Our driver Scott was excellent, and so was our bartender. The music was all different types of music which was great! It also had a bathroom break at Acme which was a good thing to schedule since we were all chugging alcohol. They even give you an option to pay a little more to extend the tour! If I am ever back, i would do this hands down!! Not to mention, we got lost and were late and they waited for us! Thank you for such a great experience!!!

One Nashville party bus company got 72 tickets for no permit. Here's what to know.

• One entertainment vehicle company has received the lion's share of citations in the months since the city of Nashville began regulating the industry.
• Twenty-seven companies received a total of 90 entertainment vehicle permits in the 2023 regulatory cycle. Permits are granted annually.

Since the city of Nashville began regulating entertainment vehicles downtown, agents have issued approximately 100 citations to a number of entertainment companies.

One company accounts for the lion's share of them.

Metro has issued more than 70 of the 105 citations to Off The Wagon Tours LLC, a party bus company that uses John Deere tractors to pull large wagons full of passengers.

The company was not one of the 27 that received entertainment transportation vehicle permits this year. Records show the company did not apply for a permit.

The Metro Transportation Licensing Commission is charged with the annual permitting process for entertainment vehicles after legislation granted them regulation power in 2021 .

The 72 total citations issued to Off The Wagon were given in September, October, March, April and May. The earliest citation date was September 24, 2022, and the most recent date, according to court records, was May 6, 2023.

The company received nine citations on October 15, 2022, the most on a single given day. Each ticket comes with a $50 fine.

Off The Wagon Tours is being represented by attorneys from The Blackburn Firm. Neither company representatives or its lawyers returned requests for comment.

It is unclear what happens when an entertainment vehicle company ultimately refuses to comply with permit regulations.

That question may soon be answered as Metro goes to court in its case against Off The Wagon Tours.

A representative for Nashville Department of Transportation declined to comment on the matter, citing pending litigation.

About Off The Wagon Tours

According to the company's website, a group tour for up to 20 people starts at $480 during the week and $500 Friday-Sunday. The tour is one hour and 45 minutes and traverses a 5-mile loop through the Gulch, Midtown and Lower Broadway area.

"Ride on our world famous big green tractors," the website's promotional text reads. "That's right, we have the most famous John Deere tractors. You're always the star of attention when you ride with us. I mean, where else can you see tractors driving down the middle of town!"

A promotional video on the website includes a montage of slow-motion clips showing passengers raising their koozie-covered beer cans and red solo cups in the air, shot-gunning foaming beer and waving at passing vehicles.

How the Metro citation process works

Metro Code chapter 6.77 outlines the permitting and governance process for entertainment vehicles in Davidson County.

Entertainment vehicles are subject to all local, state and federal traffic laws. When violations occur, Metro Nashville Police Department officers and Nashville Department of Transportation compliance inspectors are both able to issue two different types of citations, according to an NDOT representative.

Non-moving parking tickets may be issued and heard through the Traffic Violation Bureau of General Sessions Court. These citations can apply to violations including parking at an expired meter, in a fire lane or tow away zone, on a sidewalk, on the wrong side of the street or similar offenses.

Metro citations, known as blue tickets, for violations of Metro code may also be issued and heard by Environmental Court. All of the citations incurred by Off The Wagon were blue tickets. According to court documents, representatives of Metro and Off The Wagon agreed to move the case combining dozens of tickets to Circuit Court.

"The parties agree that the Defendant has a defense that is of such complexity and expense that removal to the Circuit Court of Nashville and Davidson County is warranted," the document read. "The parties agree that the interests of judicial economy and justice would be served by removing this action to Circuit Court."

A court date within Circuit Court has not been set.

Who received entertainment vehicle permits in 2023

There are 27 companies holding 90 total permits in 2023. The permits are split into two groups: sightseeing (50 permits) and entertainment (40 permits).
