2019 was a breakthrough year for the Michigan band off the back of their second album Trauma. . As well as touring Australia for Download Festival, they undertook sold-out tours all around the globe, topping off the year with a top 15 debut on the Top 200 and two Grammy Award nominations, for Best Rock Album and Best Metal Performance.

So you bet they are ready to storm through the rest of 2021 and into 2022 with that same energy.

If the original support acts also sweetened the deal, we have extra great news for you – they are both back in the mix too. That’s right, joining the bill are metal titans  Motionless In White   and local legends  Windwaker .

It’s been a steady rise for I Prevail. After coming together in 2013, a combined love for heavy rock, metal, and pop music, saw the band’s interesting sound come together. Vocalist Brian Burkheiser wasn’t a fan of heavy music when the band formed, so of course, it’d be a c over of Taylor Swift’s ‘Blank Space’ that pushed the band to international attention in 2014. Their debut EP, 2015’s  Heart Vs Mind showed the world what I Prevail might be able to achieve, but it wasn’t until their debut album  Lifelines  that they showed just how versatile their brand of metalcore could truly be.

On  Trauma,  I Prevail might just have fully realised how far they can push their musical boundaries. Throughout its 13 tracks, you’ll find elements of everything from hip hop to rock and electronic to pop. But make no mistake, Trauma is a heavy album through and through.

We are excited to finally get back to Australia and we appreciate all the fans that have held onto their tickets while we’ve worked on rescheduling these shows. See you in June . I Prevail

All the bands at this show did an amazing job. Escape the fate, a word alive, we came as romans and I prevail. Escape the fate opened the show and had allot of good energy. Great opening band to get the crowd going and in the mood. Next up was a word alive. I personally have never heard them before but now I'm looking forward to buying their album. They had a great sound and energy as well. Then came we came as romans. This was the band I came to see. I loved it. They played a few of my favorites which really enhanced the experience for me. Their singer even crowd surfed from the stage to the center of the floor and had the crowd holding him upright above them as he sang the song. Freaking epic! Then I prevail came on. Great sound, very aggressive and energetic with a matching light show. The had a lil comedy routine in between songs about wrestling (wwf wrestling). Their music was amazing as was their sound. At this venue they were recording for live wire so I can wait to see that. Overall great show. Now if only we came as romans, bring me to the horizon, of mice and men and volumes would do a tour together.

Hands down, amazing! I Prevail was the one band that I went to see. I listened to all of their music and somehow was still blown away by their performance overall, one of my favorite perfomances since I began my concert adventures. The bands they have touring with them blew my mind as well. The Artisan, why not my cup of tea when it comes to their music style, they're incredibly talented musicians and very entertaining. Next is Bad Seed Rising. I loved them. They were great and extrememly relatable because of how close to age I am to them. My enemies and I were great, they were creepy but a very cool was that gave them a personality. And lastly The White Noise. Great entertainers. They knew how to rock a crowd and it makes sense that they have the fans that they do. I may just be one of them. Overall a simply fantastic experience.

I went to this show with my brother, and by the time the second band started playing he yanked my shirt and pulled me into the pit. I gotta say, for my first time in the pit it was fun as f**k. Fell down a few times, got helped back up, and made a few bros for the night. By the end of the show the shirt I bought was baptized in the sweat of anyone participating in the pit.

Since this is a review I should probably "review" the concert. It was f**king great. I was told that whatever bands play first are the worst of the night and that was easily proven wrong.

11/10 would go again

This show was alright not the best. My guest and I had a hard time enjoying the show with how aggressive the crowd got during the show. We were standing right in front of the floor gate and we kept being smooshed towards the gate and had to duck a lot of the time so that the security guards could grab the people whom had chose to surf on the crowd. Very frustrating on how frequent it was...I knew it was going to happen but not that bad. However show was alright

This was truly an incredible experience!

The opening acts were fantastic! And I Prevail was insane! They interacted with the crowd a bunch, which was sick.

I really don't think I have any negatives to say. I appreciate the band taking the time to meet every fan that bought VIP tickets and taking photos with us. my boyfriend is a HUGE fan so I know that it was truly an experience he won't soon forget.

Thanks Showbox!

What a concert! Assuming We Survive kicked off the party with a great show and awesome music! Then Wage War continued to rock the house. And finally the headliner came out and brought the house down! They killed it! From their fun little game involving some hilarious cover songs, to the lead singer crowd surfing at the end, it was a hell of a show with awesome music! I highly recommend going to see them live!

We saw I prevail for the first time last night in Atlanta, GA. They were opening for Pierce the Veil. However, i totally would have paid Just to see them. They put on a GREAT show. A lot of people complain about how crappy bands sound live but they were freaking awesome. I was definitely impressed and will without a doubt be seeing them again next time they're around here.

The show was incredible. I fell in love with the band not long after I heard their cover of Blank Space. After hearing their cover I checked out their EP on Spotify and quickly fell in love with that as well.

The dudes in the band seem super chill and I actually only went to the Massive Addictive tour for them, I left shortly after their set.

The show was absolutely amazing. I love how the VIPs got to actually interact with the band and got to play a quiz game. I loved how the winner was the one that got to go on stage a roast the band.... the show was something that will be remembered forever.... hopefully the band also learned more about the Australian culture as well

The concert at the Gothic had been the second time I had seen I Prevail. This band is my favorite and this concert was completely incredible. I got to meet Eric and Brian which was sweet and I love that it was general admission so I got to push my way to the front row. Best concert and band ever!

Two decades ago, a band that would go on to pioneer and dominate the landscape of heavy music was born on the sunny shores of Byron Bay. Now in 2024, Australian metal titans PARKWAY DRIVE will triumphantly return to home soil this September to celebrate their 20th anniversary with their biggest headline tour to date, with the 20 Year Anniversary Tour set to ignite stadiums and arenas across the country, alongside very special guests I PREVAIL (USA), THE GHOST INSIDE (USA) and Void Of Vision. A world-first experience and 20 unforgettable years in the making, Australia will play home in 2024 to PARKWAY DRIVE's brand new production; the band's biggest show they have ever produced fittingly set to christen in their own backyard as part of the 20 Year Anniversary Tour.

"Australia, it’s been a while. To be honest, it feels like forever. We didn’t plan it to be this way, but then again we didn’t plan on making it this far in the first place. So here it is, we’re finally back, with the biggest headlining tour we have done, anywhere, ever, full stop. A celebration of a 20 year journey, of the roads we have walked through, the generations, to the path we still define, our own. 20 years, through blood sweat and tears. Still Australian, still unbreakable. Australia, turn the fuck up and make us proud, this is one for the history books" - Winston McCall, Parkway Drive

Wielding an incomparable legacy lined with boundless innovation, the juggernaut journey for PARKWAY DRIVE from teenage metal underdogs into becoming an unstoppable global force is one most could only dream of. With seven full-length albums in their wake, PARKWAY DRIVE have also scored three consecutive #1 releases on the ARIA Albums Chart courtesy of 2015's Ire, 2018's Reverence and, most recently, 2022's Darker Still. With six of their albums certified Gold in Australia and multiple ARIA wins under their belts, the five-piece have also garnered worldwide chart success, cementing their status as a festival-headlining behemoth alongside three documentaries, a live album, millions of streams and thousands of live performances. Also armed with an unforgettable live prowess which has sold out arenas and stupefied festival crowds worldwide, PARKWAY DRIVE's formidable reputation in a live setting doesn't merely live up to the hype; it sets the hype on fire, literally. Transcending their metalcore foundations into another stratosphere, the spectacle of a PARKWAY DRIVE performance is one that stays with you well after the stage has emptied, with the band previously headlining the likes of Wacken, Good Things Festival in Australia and So What?! Festival amongst countless shows with some of the biggest names in metal, including Lamb Of God, Soulfly and Killswitch Engage. Platinum-certified and twice Grammy-nominated Michigan rock powerhouse I PREVAIL will return down under this September to unleash their towering wares Australia-wide. An arena-level band, I PREVAIL have racked up billions of streams, close to 400 million views on YouTube, and toured the globe extensively. Catch I PREVAIL playing hits from across their entire catalogue this September. Forming in California, THE GHOST INSIDE have survived and thrived against unimaginable odds since erupting onto the scene with their 2008 debut album Fury and the Fallen Ones. Blending the new wave of metalcore with driving punk hues, THE GHOST INSIDE cleave aggressive sounds with thoughtful thematics and melodics, and are set to release their sixth album Searching for Solace this April. The Melbourne entity known as VOID OF VISION have solidified their standing as one of the most innovative and sonically explosive acts in the modern heavy scene for over a decade. From performing at Australia's first ever Knotfest in 2024 alongside Slipknot, Parkway Drive and Megadeth through to their most recent groundbreaking single Angel Of Darkness, VOID OF VISION ceaselessly astonish. Don't miss your chance to witness PARKWAY DRIVE's biggest headline tour to date this September, this will absolutely be one for the ages.

i prevail tour australia

They’ve been hinting a return to Australia since their last SOLD OUT debut visit and now we FINALLY know when I Prevail will be hitting our shores AND they’re bringing along some very fucking special guests in the process.

Joining the lads will be Motionless In White who released their fantastic return-to-form album Disguise last year (our review here ) and we have been desperately been waiting for their return to play a bunch of songs from it. Frontman Chris Motionless spoke all about the album during his co-hosting duties on Wall of Sound: Up Against The Wall #76 so make sure you revisit that to get up to speed on their latest offering.

Windwaker will also join the ranks and knowing what we know about their stage performance last year, you know you’re in for one hell of a show!

[NEWS] I PREVAIL Announce Australian Tour

  • Written by Staff Writer

Share This:

i prevail tour australia

I PREVAIL have quickly garnered a burgeoning global fan base since their inception two years ago and Australia is right at the forefront!

Presented by Destroy All Lines, Chugg Entertainment and Hysteria, I PREVAIL will be touring Australia for the very first time in 2017 taking in Perth, Brisbane, Sydney  and Melbourne.

Australian audiences have been particularly supportive of the record – Lifelines debuted at #8 on the ARIA charts in release week and stayed top 20 for consequent weeks – as well as every single on the record at the top of the iTunes metal and all genres charts for months leading into the album’s release. Judging by Australian fans’ (of which there are over 56000 on Facebook!) reactions to the record, I Prevail have been a major breakout act this year in Australia. But this fever pitch support for I PREVAIL is not just coming from a massive underground swell of fans…media are also falling over each other praising Lifelines with Hysteria exclaiming “I Prevail’s music is part man, part machine and unnaturally catchy” and Shockwave Magazine declaring “I Prevail’s debut album Lifelines is the life support to your most crushing experiences and the wings in the moments when you feel empowered”

The Indo-Pacific Unity Allies and Partners Engineer Summit was held for its fourth year at Andersen Air Force Base, Guam, July 23-26, 2024. Hosted by the Pacific Air Forces Command Civil Engineer, the summit served as a forum for over 120 engineers from around the world to learn, share their views, and collaborate to advance and maintain a free and open Indo-Pacific. The summit consisted of two main events: a Key Leader Engagement (KLE) and a Silver Flag exercise. As part of the KLE, senior engineers from 11 nations were able to engage in an in-depth review of current events, best practices to challenges encountered, identify gaps, explore opportunities for mutual assistance, and highlight ways to become further involved and engaged in the future. The week’s events revolved around leadership, infrastructure, and readiness — with engineers from each respective nation briefing on current projects and methods to enhance efforts in the Indo-Pacific theater. Readiness briefings focused on ensuring that integrated base response recovery efforts were built upon joint interoperability with allies and partners, while infrastructure briefings centered on setting the theater efforts to build and maintain combat projection platforms in the region. Allies and partners in attendance included Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Indonesia, Japan, the Philippines, the Republic of Korea, Singapore, Sri Lanka, and the United Kingdom. Included in this year's summit was a speed networking engagement, which allowed each nation to provide highlights of their civil engineer capabilities to attendees. “It's important to share our knowledge, skills, and capabilities with our allies and partners because we are stronger together,” said Col. Kevin Osborne, PACAF Command Civil Engineer. “When we work together and focus on joint interoperability, we can achieve so much more.” Although the nations in attendance may have different priorities, there are valuable similarities that can be learned from and built upon. “Attending key leader engagements is incredibly important for Australia because of the potential of the unknown,” said Royal Australian Air Force Warrant Officer Wayne Wilson. “When it comes to population, we are a small nation, so we rely heavily on our allies and partners to produce necessary responses in the event of threats, conflicts, or natural disasters.” Throughout the KLE, briefers and organizers emphasized and encouraged the importance of building relationships. “These key leader engagements are so vital because meeting face-to-face is the best way to get to know one another and understand each other, professionally and personally,” said Japan Air Self-Defense Force Col. Tomomi Hasegawa. While the meetings, briefings, and equipment demonstrations were crucial to the summit, it was through breakouts, dinners, and general camaraderie opportunities that engineers were able to develop invaluable relationships. The summit also consisted of a Silver Flag exercise that allowed attendees an opportunity to discuss and participate in expeditionary base resiliency maneuvers and share best practices to ensure airfields can support, launch, and recover aircraft. As part of the multilateral exercise hosted by the 554th Rapid Engineering Deployable Heavy Operations Repair Squadron, more than 70 engineers from seven different countries participated in joint airfield recovery operations at Northwest Field at Andersen Air Force Base. Discussions and hands-on activities included airfield damage repair operations, small crater repair, fiber-reinforced polymer, a recovery of airbase denied by ordnance demonstration, and a tour of the Northwest Field project. U.S. Air Force engineers were also able to host their allies and partners on a historic trip to Tinian, part of the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands. Located approximately 100 miles north of Guam, the visit to Tinian included a tour of World War II historical sites, a presentation on the clearing of historic airfields, and an equipment demonstration facilitated by the 513th Expeditionary RED HORSE Squadron. “We were able to see the amazing work the 513 EHRS is doing to clear the runways and restore the airfield,” said Chief Master Sgt. Rob Shuman, 7th Air Force senior enlisted civil engineer. “We’re witnessing history in the making during the Tinian visit, and we’re doing this alongside our allies and partners in the theater.” The summit not only served as a crucial platform for building partnerships but also highlighted that no country can achieve a free and open Indo-Pacific on its own. “Every country has a different perspective to add,” said Osborne. “We must consider these perspectives as we think, act, and operate differently.” By promoting regional stability, increasing engineer interoperability, and enhancing partner capacity, the summit played a vital role in strengthening the Indo-Pacific’s defense and security.

Liberty Stars Take on Coach in Olympic Semifinals

Geoff magliocchetti | aug 8, 2024.

  • New York Liberty

The final four's coming a bit early for the New York Liberty this season.

Four bearers of seafoam are set to partake in the semifinal round of the Paris Olympics' women's basketball tournament, which will be staged on Tuesday at Bercy Arena. Sabrina Ionescu and Breanna Stewart are set to rep the United States in their quest for an unprecedented eighth consecutive gold medal and familiar faces stand in their way ...

Sandy Brondello

USA vs. Australia

(11:30 a.m. ET, NBC)

Ionescu and Stewart will face off against their metropolitan overseer, Sandy Brondello, when Team USA goes for its 60th consecutive victory in Olympic play. While Team USA is the clear favorite ... Las Vegas Aces stars A'ja Wilson and Jackie Young have continued to make international names for themselves in recent clashes ... Australia is determined to complete its redemption quest.

Brondello has frequently cited the goal of a podium finish after the Opals failed to get out of pool play in her first Olympic excursion in Tokyo. That goal was in danger after Paris pool play in Lille opened with an upset loss to Nigeria but the Opals have responded with three consecutive wins, including one over host nation France. Former Liberty star Sami Whitcomb (Seattle) has been vital in the cause, averaging a team-best 14.8 points and putting up strong defense.

Australia is seeking its first medal since a bronze in the London Games in 2012. The Opals were relegated to the third-place game after an 86-73 loss to the Americans in the semifinal round, a loss partly brought about by 14 points each for active Team USA star Diana Taurasi (Phoenix) and future Liberty legend Tina Charles.

Marine Johannes

France vs. Belgium

(3 p.m. ET, Peacock)

The host nation is back in familiar surroundings, on pace to play for a medal for the fourth straight occasion. Armed with the services of Liberty fan favorite Marine Johannes (scorer of 24 off the bench in Wednesday's quarterfinal win) and 2018 lottery pick Gabby Williams, Les Bleus believe that they have what it takes to secure a long-sought gold.

If the Americans prevail, familiar friends or foes await: Ionescu and Stewart would obviously be well-versed in the antic of Johannes while the American team has faced staunch challenges from a Cats group led by 2019 WNBA Finals MVP Emma Meeseman and active rookie sensation Julie Vanloo (Washington).

Team USA handled business relatively well in group play (an 87-74 win capped off by Ionescu's silencer toward a pro-Belgian crowd), but a game-winning double from Stewart was required to prevail in a qualifying tournament showdown back in February.
