Guns N' Roses Announce 2023 Tour Across North America, Europe and Israel — See the Dates!

The rockers last hit North America in 2021

guns n roses tour 2023 rumors

Guns N' Roses is hitting the road!

The rockers will embark on a lengthy tour in June that will see them play nearly 40 dates across stadiums, arenas and festivals around the world.

The band — which includes Axl Rose , 61, Duff McKagan , 59, and Slash , 57 — will kick things off in Tel Aviv, Israel on June 5 before heading to Europe for 15 concerts.

On Aug. 5, the "November Rain" rockers will head back to North America for 22 more dates before wrapping in Vancouver on Oct. 16. The band last hit North America in 2021, on its We're F'N Back! Tour.

For longtime fans, the end of each show will look a bit different, as Rose announced in December that he will no longer throw his microphone into the crowd after a fan claimed the move injured her.

"It's come to my attention that a fan may have been hurt at r show in Adelaide Australia possibly being hit by the microphone at the end of the show when I traditionally toss the mic to the fans," he wrote on Twitter.

He continued: "Having tossed the mic at the end of r show for over 30 years we always felt it was a known part of the very end of r performance that fans wanted and were aware of to have an opportunity to catch the mic. Regardless in the interest of public safety from now on we'll refrain from tossing the mic or anything to the fans during or at r performance."

Rose recently celebrated his birthday with a heartfelt Twitter message to fans that thanked them for their longtime support.

"I'm very fortunate n' privileged to have such great friends, fans n' people in my life!!" he wrote. "I'm extremely grateful for ALL the people I n' Guns n' Roses r privileged to play for n' all those we meet, know n' work with around the world!! I mean that sincerely from the bottom of my heart n' don't take anyone n' their love, friendship n' support along with any of our success for granted!!"

Presale tickets for the tour will be available on Wednesday at 10 a.m. local time, while the general on-sale begins Friday at 10 a.m. local time at gunsnroses.com .

ABOUT GUNS N’ ROSES:

Guns N’ Roses endure as the most dynamic, dangerous, and definitive American rock band in history to this day. Embedded in popular culture, their landmark diamond-selling 1987 opus, Appetite For Destruction , stands out as “the best-selling U.S. debut album ever” and “the 11 th best-selling U.S. album of all time, ” while their Not In This Lifetime… Tour (2016-2019) ranked as the “fourth-highest grossing concert tour of all time . ” During 1991, Guns N’ Roses shook the world with the one-two punch of the 7x-platinum Use Your Illusion I and Use Your Illusion II , clinching the top two spots of the Billboard 200 upon arrival. With total sales of 100 million units thus far, their catalog also consists of G N’ R Lies (5x-platinum), The Spaghetti Incident? (platinum), Greatest Hits (5x-platinum), and Chinese Democracy (platinum). Not to mention, they are one of the most-streamed rock bands in the world with an average of 24 million monthly listeners on Spotify. Following the reunion of the century, they headlined Coachella and sold 5 million-plus tickets on the Not In This Lifetime… Tour . However, Guns N’ Roses never stop with more touring on the horizon in 2023 and other surprises—the “Nightrain” keeps rolling at full speed.

Guns N’ Roses are Axl Rose (vocals, piano), Duff McKagan (bass), Slash (lead guitar), Dizzy Reed (keyboard), Richard Fortus (rhythm guitar), Frank Ferrer (drums), and Melissa Reese (keyboard).

Guns N’ Roses Announce Huge 2023 World Tour

Back to prove there's no such thing as too much of a good thing, Guns N' Roses have just announced a huge 2023 world tour.

It's been seven years since Slash and Duff McKagan simultaneously rejoined the group and Guns N' Roses remain one of the biggest (and one of the most lucrative ) concert draws in the world with Axl Rose , Dizzy Reed , Richard Fortus , Frank Ferrer and Melissa Reese rounding out the lineup.

See all of the upcoming tour dates further down the page. Tickets go on sale on Feb. 24 at 10AM local time here  and look for presale tickets to be made available starting Feb. 22 at 10AM local time.

This year has already been quite notable for GN'R and Rose, especially when it comes to the  Use Your Illusion   I  hit song "November Rain." At Lisa Marie Presley 's memorial service, Rose performed a vocal and piano rendition of the track and, three weeks later, the "November Rain" YouTube video surpassed two billion views , becoming the first '90s rock song to achieve that milestone.

The guitar, which Slash also performed with onstage in 1985-86, was eventually sold in July 1986 and has since been exhibited at the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame.

He picked it up from Guitars R Us and it has been retrofitted with Seymour Duncans, according to the listing. The guitar also comes with various documents of provenance and certificates of authenticity.

Meanwhile, Slash recently  said he doesn’t see a Guns N’ Roses biopic happening anytime soon .

In an interview with  Yahoo! Entertainment ,  the legendary guitarist was asked if he liked the idea of creating a biopic, where he responded: “I just don’t see it happening anytime in the foreseeable future.”

He continued: “It doesn’t mean that it won’t happen ever, because who knows? I can only think down the line so far. But I’ve never been able to envision how you’re gonna get… I mean it’s one thing to try and find actors to represent the people in the band, but the other thing is all sort of theatrical depictions of life in the music scene and the everyday life of musicians and all that kinda stuff.”

Axl Rose Superfan Carrie Underwood Will Open for Guns N’ Roses

By Joseph Hudak

Joseph Hudak

After miraculously enticing Axl Rose to join her onstage at Stagecoach 2022 and, yet again , at her L.A. headlining concert earlier this year, Carrie Underwood will return the favor and open for Guns N’ Roses when the band plays Nashville on its summer 2023 tour . Underwood joined the entirety of GNR onstage in London last summer, and it’s a fair bet fans will see her again between Rose, Slash, and Duff McKagan in Music City.

In addition to the Nashville appearance at Geodis Park, Underwood will open two Guns N’ Roses shows in Canada. The band, who mostly reunited in 2016, also announced the rest of the openers for their upcoming tour : Chrissie Hynde and the Pretenders will support on a string of dates, including a newly announced show at PNC Park in Pittsburgh, while Los Angeles rockers Dirty Honey , grunge icons Alice in Chains, and Mexican sibling trio the Warning each play select shows.

Guns N’ Roses Announce 2023 World Tour

Guns N' Roses announced a world tour that will begin on June 5 in Tel Aviv, Israel. The band will hit North America in August and continue through the fall, wrapping up on Oct. 16 in Vancouver.

The presale begins Wednesday, followed by a general on-sale on Friday. More information on tickets can be found on the Guns N' Roses  website .

The upcoming shows mark Guns N' Roses' first U.S. dates since October 2021, when they finished a 25-show run with a pair of concerts in Florida. They spent the bulk of 2022 playing overseas , wrapping up the year with a performance in Auckland, New Zealand, in December.

Guns N' Roses released two new songs, " Absurd " and " Hard Skool ," in 2021, marking the first material with Axl Rose , Duff McKagan and Slash since 1994. Both songs come from the Chinese Democracy era, featuring freshly recorded parts by Slash and McKagan.

Slash confirmed they continued to work on other songs similarly while they were off the road because of the pandemic. "There's a handful of those songs that we absolutely fixed up and did when we were in lockdown," he told radio host  Eddie Trunk in October. "Those have yet to be released, so those are going to come out. ... We're just going to put out like one or two songs, and another one or two songs, and I think that's going to be pretty much all of them. I'm not sure exactly how many we did in total."

He added that Guns N' Roses still have "a couple of epic songs" that haven't been released. Slash emphasized that he hopes they'll be able to focus on recording a "whole brand new record at some point." As is often the case, he named the pending road work the culprit for the continued delay: "We have one more tour left to do next summer, and then that'll free us up to go in and work on a new record."

Guns N’ Roses Announce 2023 World Tour

Guns N’ Roses have announced an extensive 2023 world tour that includes an early summer UK/European leg and late summer / early fall North American leg.

The first leg technically kicks off in the Middle East with a June 5th show in Tel Aviv, Israel, before the UK/European jaunt begins with a June 9th gig in Madrid, Spain, and runs through a July 7th show in Athens, Greece. The North American leg launches in Moncton, New Brunswick, and wraps up October 16th in Vancouver, British Columbia. It includes several US and Canadian baseball and football stadiums, as well as a headlining performance October 8th at the Aftershock festival in Sacramento, California.

A Live Nation pre-sale for the North American dates begins Thursday (February 23rd) at 10 a.m. local time via Ticketmaster using the code CHORUS , with a general sale starting Friday (February 24th) at 10 a.m. local time. Fans can also pick up tickets via StubHub .

Following the return of classic members Slash and Duff McKagan in 2016, Guns N’ Roses have been one of the world’s most successful touring acts. Their “Not In This Lifetime Tour,” which ran from April 2016 to November 2019, grossed a whopping $584.2 million . GN’R followed that up with the “We’re F’N’ Back! Tour,” which primarily took place in 2021 and 2022.

Slash

Slash: Guns N’ Roses Would Have Been “Canceled in This Day and Age”

Fans are also eagerly awaiting a proper new Guns N’ Roses studio album, which would be the first to feature Axl Rose, Slash, and Duff McKagan since the 1991 Use Your Illusion LPs. In recent years, the band has unveiled re-tooled versions of a few previously unreleased songs that were originally written during the Chinese Democracy sessions, but Slash said this past October that GN’R hope to hit the studio to record a wholly original new album “probably sooner than later.”

See the full list of Guns N’ Roses’ 2023 tour dates below, and pick up tickets to the North American shows via Ticketmaster or StubHub .

'This song saved my life': Guns N' Roses legend Duff McKagen on music and life ahead of Manchester tour date

The guns n' roses legend is set to embark on his third solo eu and uk tour later this month - stopping off at manchester on october 3.

'This song saved my life' says Guns N' Roses legend Duff McKagen ahead of Manchester tour date

Seattle is best known for producing two things: Starbucks, which opened its doors back in 1971, and grunge behemoths Nirvana, Pearl Jam and Soundgarden. What some music fans may not know, however, is that the American city was also the stomping ground of one of Guns N' Roses' founding members, Duff McKagan, pre-worldwide fame.

The Washington native, now 60, spent his formative years in the Seattle scene before moving to Los Angeles, rocketing to fame as the bassist for Guns N' Roses, one of the best-selling groups in history. While Guns N' Roses have been back together since 2016, the rock star is set to embark on his solo US, UK and EU tour of his third studio album, Lighthouse, which will grace Manchester Academy next month.

Lighthouse , which was released in 2023, has a clear Seattle influence, with much more of a punkier vibe than 2019's Tenderness. Ahead of his Manchester tour date, we sat down with the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame legend to discuss the inspiration behind his latest release, his favourite books, and the importance of mental healthy advocacy.

Recorded in 2020 during the height of the pandemic in a studio 'four minutes away' from his house, the album is a dedication to Duff's wife, Susan Holmes-McKagen, whom he wed in 1999. "The inspiration, lyrically, runs the gamut of things, me being appreciative of my wife and being reflective on life," Duff tells the Manchester Evening News.

"I draw inspiration from real things that happened to me or that I've observed. I really observe when I travel, I'm the guy that sits back and takes notes and appreciate where I'm at and it seems to come out in my lyrics."

Duffs says his favourite song on the album is Forgiveness , which is a 'mellow song that has a grandiose intent of being world-healing'. "That yet again, is this tiny little song," he mentions. "I think we're going to set the tone of the tour and open with it."

Lighthouse was recorded in the height of the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020

On I Just Don’t Know with fellow Seattle rocker, Jerry Cantrell, of Alice in Chains fame, Duff mentions his sister, which is the 'first time' that he has 'lyrically inserted' his upbringing into any of his songs . As one of eight children to Irish parents that divorced by the time he was in elementary school (primary school over here), he says that he is mentioning it now as he 'can tell a story through it'.

"We can all say this happened or that happened during our childhood," he says calmly. "It didn't mess up my life hearing my parents argue or go through divorce. I was the eighth kid, so my brothers and sisters saw a lot more than I did.

"Family is really important to me, I've just got back from a trip with three of my brothers and my nephew. We had dinner, saw the Blue Man Group, and flew back. It was great to be with them for 24 hours. Of course, my wife and my two girls are everything."

Duff hinted that there's something in the pipeline coming for Guns N' Roses

Towards the end of the album is Hope , which kicks off with an instantly recognisable riff from fellow Guns N' Roses member, Slash. The song, which also features Abe Laboriel Jr on drums, who has been a part of Paul McCartney's touring band since 2001, was written and recorded back in 1996 - two years after Duff made the decision to become sober after being hospitalised for acute alcohol-induced pancreatitis.

It was supposed to come out in 1994 but was shelved after a merger between Duff's parent label Polygram and Universal, where he lost the rights to it. "Hope was finished in 1996. I recorded a record called Beautiful Disease, I was two years sober," he said.

"The record never came out because the record label got bought and I only got the masters back during Covid. When I started to put the line-up together, Hope seemed to be a good fit. I'm old school, I listen to a record from beginning to end. When I put an album together, I want it to be like a mini novel. So Hope fit right in the middle, Slash played some really good stuff in there."

Duff is set to play Manchester Academy next month

Prior to the release of Lighthouse, Duff dropped This is the Song , a three-track EP in May 2023 to coincide with Mental Health Awareness Month in the US. The rocker said it was important for him to release it so others could relate and understand that even stars like him 'have some quirks'.

He said: "I dabbled with depression, which came out of nowhere. I've had panic attacks since I was 16 but I got my first depression attack at 50, it was terrifying. I wrote this song during a panic attack, in the middle of it I got my acoustic guitar, started writing lyrics down and thought this was the song that's going to save my life."

Duff toured with his second album in 2019 but didn't get a chance to visit Manchester, which is why he is 'so excited' to be coming back. "I didn't get to play Manchester during the Tenderness run, so that's going to be fun," he said. "These venues are smaller, some are really beautiful and ornate, so playing these venues is really special."

Duff is a keen writer and contributes articles to various publications in the US

A New York Times bestseller with his 2011 autobiography, It's So Easy (and other lies), Duff is a keen reader and was more than happy to share his current reads. He said: "There's this novel called James by Percival Everett that I just downloaded on my Kindle.

"But I'm finishing The Company: The Rise and Fall of the Hudson's Bay Empire by Stephen Brown. It's so nerdy, it runs from the 1650s up to the 1790s. I'm also quite good friends with Dan Jones, a British historian, and I'm also reading one of his books at the minute."

While Duff didn't talk too much about his time during Guns N' Roses, he did mention that 'something is in the pipeline' and that fans can expect something soon. Although, he didn't specify whether it's going to be a new record or a tour.

Duff's Lighthouse tour kicks off in Dublin on September 30 and will play Manchester Academy on Thursday, October 3. For tickets, visit here or to pick up a copy of his latest album, Lighthouse , visit here .

Guns N’ Roses ’ latest tour announcement has fans once again speculating the return of original rhythm guitarist Izzy Stradlin and drummer Steven Adler.

  • READ MORE: Guitar Legends: Slash – the cat in the hat who saved hard rock guitar from itself

The band yesterday (19 November) announced a string of eight shows in New Zealand and Australia in 2021. The poster for the announcement features the band’s Appetite For Destruction logo, which depicts each original member as a skull. See it below:

Get. Ready. Australia & New Zealand, 2021 ⚡ pic.twitter.com/OVA9LFTZBG — Guns N' Roses (@gunsnroses) November 18, 2020

Frontman Axl Rose, guitarist Slash and bassist Duff McKagan are the only original members currently in the band; the three reconvened in 2016 for the long-awaited Not In This Lifetime world tour.

GN’R fans have noted that the poster is the first promotional material that uses the Appetite  logo to advertise the band’s “reunion” lineup.

“Isn’t this the first time they have all five of the Appetite For Destruction skulls as part of their advertising as [opposed] to just the three of Axl, Slash and Duff,” one fan tweeted . “Should we be reading more into this?”

Another fan responded to the band’s post: “I notice you’re using the AFD logo with Izzy and Steven… is that a hint? Or do you just like the logo?”

Stradlin was the only original member not to make an appearance on the band’s Not In This Lifetime tour. Last year, McKagan offered his thoughts on why the guitarist has been absent from the trek .

“I just don’t think he ever wanted to do it,” he told Classic Rock . “We tried to make it work, but it just didn’t. And in a situation like this… You either get on it or you don’t, because the train’s moving forward.”
