The first three celebrities who will be joining 2023’s hotly-anticipated Strictly Come Dancing Live UK arena tour are announced today: Actor Will Mellor ( Broadchurch , Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps ); Paralympic swimming champion and broadcaster Ellie Simmonds ; and Kiss FM radio host, TV presenter and DJ Tyler West will be foxtrotting their way across the country for 31 sparkle-filled shows kicking off in January.

They will be joined on tour by Strictly TV judges Shirley Ballas, Craig Revel Horwood and Anton Du Beke, who is appearing on the arena tour for the first time.  The sensational Janette Manrara will host. Further casting announcements will be made soon.

The host with the most, Janette Manrara has her cue cards at the ready to guide audiences through a feast of breathtaking dance routines and incredible live music, performed by a cast of celebrities and their professional dance partners, together with the Strictly Live Band.

The magnificent dance floor will dazzle with the exquisite costumes and first class production values which Strictly is known and loved for, giving fans of all ages the perfect opportunity to extend that special Strictly magic into the new year. And if that is not enough, the live show audience can play judge at each performance as their text votes ultimately decides who wins the coveted Glitterball Trophy.

Janette Manrara to host Strictly Come Dancing Live UK Arena Tour!

Strictly’s own Janette Manrara will be dazzling crowds across the UK as she Cha Cha Chas into her new role as host of the 2022 Strictly Come Dancing Live Arena Tour, from 20 January – 13 February 2022. Tickets on sale now from www.strictlycomedancinglive.com

Janette will preside over proceedings at 33 FAB-U-LOUS shows across the country in January and February next year.  She will be reunited with tour judges Shirley Ballas, Craig Revel Horwood and Bruno Tonioli, who is making his return to the judges’ desk for this tour. Tickets are on sale now!

The former Strictly Professional Dancer and new co-host of BBC Two’s ‘Strictly: It Takes Two’ will waltz to some of the biggest entertainment venues across the UK. Opening at the Utilita Arena Birmingham on 20 January, the tour will then visit Leeds’ First Direct Arena, Newcastle’s Utilita Arena, the AO Arena Manchester, Sheffield’s Utilita Arena, the M&S Bank Arena Liverpool, The OVO Hydro in Glasgow and Nottingham’s Motorpoint Arena, before culminating with five shows at London's O2 Arena from 11-13 February.

Janette Manrara said: “I’m absolutely thrilled to be hosting the 2022 Strictly Arena Tour! It’s a dream come true. It’s been two years since the last tour so the expectation and build-up has been huge. We’ve been desperate to return to venues around the UK and now we’re finally back. The show is going to be bigger than ever – with lots of glitter, lots of sparkles, lots of excitement and lots of incredible dance routines!  And you never know…you might just see me taking to the dance floor myself – I can’t wait, I’ve really missed it!”

The live show will also be directed by Craig Revel Horwood and feature many of the celebrities and professional dancers from the current series of the multi-award-winning BBC One show. Further casting announcements will be made over the coming weeks.

Arena audiences are in for a real treat, as they enjoy a fantastic evening of entertainment, showcasing all the amazing choreography and incredible live music that Strictly is famous for.  They will experience a host of breathtaking dance routines guaranteed to leave them spellbound, together with all the glitz, glamour and magic of the TV show live on stage. This is a must-see spectacle for fans of all ages.

As well as enjoying the glittering routines, arena audiences have the power to decide who wins the coveted Live Tour Glitterball Trophy at the end of each show.  After each celebrity couple has performed, the Judges will provide their invaluable critique and scores - but the audience can also vote via text for their favourite couple and ultimately they will decide who wins!

The Strictly Come Dancing Live Tour Is Heading To Birmingham’s Utilita Arena Next January

A star-studded live tour of Strictly Come Dancing will start at Utilita Arena Birmingham, with Shirley Ballas, Anton Du Beke and Craig Revel Horwood judging the shows.

Strictly Come Dancing has returned to our screens with an all-new celebrity line-up. Back for its 21st series, there’s nothing like tuning into BBC One for an array of incredible weekly dance routines. But do you ever wish you could catch it live? Well, now you can with the Strictly Live Tour preparing to dazzle audiences next year.

Celebrating the joy of the TV series, showcasing the amazing choreography and fantastic live music, The Strictly Live Tour has 30 shows lined up at arenas across the country. Featuring the all-important celebrity contestants and their professional dancing partners , the tour will kick off at Utilita Arena Birmingham . With incredible five shows taking place between January 19 and 21 .

Strictly legends Shirley Ballas , Anton Du Beke , and Craig Revel Horwood return to take up their judging seats. While It Takes Two ’s Janette Manrara is back as the tour host. The Strictly Come Dancing Live Tour will also travel on to the likes of Sheffield, Newcastle, Glasgow, Liverpool, Leeds, Manchester, Nottingham and London.

Craig Revel Horwood said: “What better way to start the new year than with the Strictly Live Tour! It’s going to be gorgeous to be back on the road with Shirley, Anton, and Janette. Joining us to entertain you all will be an A-MAZ-ING line-up of celebrities and professional dancers from this year’s series. And, as you would expect, we will have a few extra special surprises in store for the arena audiences along the way. One word, three syllables – FAB-U-LOUS!”

Expect all the glitz and glamour of the TV show, with Craig Revel Horwood once again directing a dance extravaganza like no other. And of course, the Strictly Live Tour Band and singers will be wowing arena audiences with their show-stopping tunes and harmonies. Celebrities and professional dancers joining the tour will be announced soon.

Strictly’s Head Judge Shirley Ballas said: “I’m delighted to be judging the Strictly Live Tour once again – there is never a dull moment alongside Anton and Craig! The audiences are always electric, the atmosphere is amazing, and Anton has promised me lots of surprises! I can’t wait for January next year when we get the show on the road!”

Megan Thee Stallion Brings her Hot Girl Summer Tour to Utilita Arena on Tuesday, July 16

Megan Thee Stallion is bringing her first headline tour to Birmingham this week! The singer will perform at Utilita Arena on Tuesday, July 16 as part of her Hot Girl Summer Tour.

The Hot Girl Summer Tour is the first headlining concert tour by the American rapper in support of her third studio album, Megan, and her entire discography. The tour was only announced back in March this year.

It started on May 14 in Minneapolis in the United States before making its away across North America and Europe. The Birmingham show is one of only three UK shows - after Glasgow and Dublin were cancelled due to venue construction and production issues respectively.

When is Megan Thee Stallion performing in Birmingham?

Megan Thee Stallion is bringing her Hot Girl Summer Tour to Utilita Arena this week! You can see her performing at the city centre venue on Tuesday, July 16.

How to get tickets

The Ticket Factory is still showing some tickets still available for Megan Thee Stallion's show at Utilita Arena on Tuesday - with prices starting from £48.20 up to £99.10 . There's some standing tickets showing for £70.80.

While gold circle standing is also showing availability for £99.10 on The Ticket Factory . While you can also find some tickets available on Ticketmaster . Ticketmaster is also showing resale tickets for the show too.

Age limits for the show

If you have seated tickets for Megan Thee Stallion's show this week, under 14 year olds must be accompanied by an adult over the age of 18 with a valid ticket into the venue. Anyone over the age of 14 can come into the building on their own with a valid seated ticket.

For standing, under 14 year olds are not permitted on the standing floor. Those aged 14 and 15 years old are only permitted onto the standing floor when accompanied by an adult aged 18+ with a valid ticket.

Support act

Ms Banks is set to support Megan Thee Stallion at her UK shows on the Hot Girl Summer Tour. She released her first mixtape titled Once Upon A Grind in 2014, while her first EP called New Chapter EP was released in 2016.

In 2023, she appeared alongside Ukraine's Kalush Orchestra as part of the opening act for the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 hosted in Liverpool. She featured on Little Mix's Woman Like Me in 2019.

Bags policy

Utilita Arena says it is 'best for everyone if you don't bring a bag at all'. Should you choose to take a bag, you can only take one and it has to be no larger than an A4 sheet of paper, according to the criteria. That is 21cm by 30cm by 19cm, and it must only have a maximum of two compartments.

Rucksacks are not allowed. If you have no other option than to bring a large bag, there is a bag store costing £15 per item payable by card and phone only.

How to get to Utilita Arena

The postcode for Utilita Arena is B1 2AA. The arena falls within Birmingham ’s Clean Air Zone so you may need to pay. You can check if your car is compliant with the Clean Air Zone here .

Parking at the Utilita Arena

The Utilita Arena has multiple car parks, visitors can park in the North and South car park, while hospitality and pre-booked customers can park in the West. There is accessible parking on level nine, near entrance G.

You can pre-book parking online . When we looked the day before the show, it was showing pre-booked parking in the West Car Park was still available for £17.50.

How to get to Utilita Arena by public transport

The Utilita Arena is located in Birmingham city centre and easily accessible using the trains, buses and West Midlands Metro. The arena is located a short walk from Birmingham New Street, Birmingham Moor Street, Birmingham Snow Hill and Five Ways train stations.

Buses run past the arena all day everyday, you can find the best bus for you online . The nearest West Midlands Metro stops to the Utilita Arena are either Brindleyplace or Library Centenary Square.

What items are banned at Utilita Arena?

According to the Utilita Arena website, you cannot take in the following items: hot food, alcohol, glass bottles, cans, flasks, cool boxes, hampers, large flags/banners, helium balloons, studded belts, dog collars, trouser chains, selfie sticks, sharp/large rings, smoke grenades, flares and fireworks.

Items will be confiscated and returned to you after the event, which may delay your access into and out of the arena.
