There comes a time when the best companies in the business need to combine to deliver an unmatched and exclusive offer. This is exactly what Trek Safaris and Algar Safaris have teamed up to provide in offering a complete free range experience for no size limit Red Stag in the renowned Patagonia Argentina.

Following an overnight flight into Buenos Aires, our ground agent will be on hand to receive you and help clear your guns. From here, you will be transferred across town to the domestic airport and connect with a flight to San Carlos de Bariloche, arriving around mid-day to begin your Argentina Red Stag hunting trip. A member from Algar Safaris will greet you and transfer you about an hour to the lodge, where you will sight your rifle and enjoy the remainder of the day. The next five days will be full hunting days, with guide for stag and any other animals you may choose to hunt. The final day, you will have one last opportunity to harvest an animal if you have not done so, before boarding your flight back to B.A. and overnight flight home.

The Experience

You can experience rolling hills, grass valleys and thick forest that provide wonderful nutrients and are all favorite habitats of stag. We recommend doing the hunt on horseback or walking to locate stag where a foot stalk is performed to close the distance for a shot.

For the physically impaired hunter, 4×4 vehicles can be provided and set up, giving almost anyone the opportunity to experience the hunt. Algar is also home to fallow & axis deer, blackbuck antelope, boar, Alpine Ibex and several varieties of sheep & goats. Algar specializes in hosting bow hunters and has become one of the leading authorities on free range bow hunting for stag. The Accommodations

For this hunt, our mainstay will be Algar Lodge, about an hour north of Bariloche Argentina, that was recently renovated to include six bedrooms, all with the comforts of a five star hotel. The lodge lies among the shadows of the Andes, in a beautiful valley where you can spot stag roaming out of the front windows. The cozy living room with large fireplace is a great place for several hunters to share stories and reflect on the day. WE ARE PROUD TO INTRODUCE THIS WORLD CLASS DOVE SHOOTING IN ENTRE RIOS PROVINCE. THIS REGION OFFERS CLOSE PROXIMITY TO ABUNDANT DOVE POPULATION, IN THE MOST EXCLUSIVE HUNTING ENVIRONMENT. The “estancia” is located very close to Buenos Aires, only 2:30hs driving time from it. This unique characteristic has the advantage of arriving in the morning into our country and the possibility to start shooting in the afternoon! In addition hunters will find very short drives to the hunting fields. Along with great hunting, we offer top level service and top notch accommodation. It is important to mention that Entre Ríos is known for its prolific fauna, its great care for the environment, and its deep respect for the law. We can proudly say that conservationism is a high value for our company. The Shooting The shooting takes place on the shores of Gualeguay river, between marshes and crop fields where millions of doves can be found. After a hearty breakfast and short drive to the fields, the shooting starts early in the morning, around 08:00am . Once at the shooting ground, the field manager will assign you a bird-boy who will provide you anything you may need, including a comfortable seat, shells, beverages, etc. The expertise and knowledge of the bird boy will be highly valued by you. In addition, he will load your shotgun and retrieve the harvested game. Shoot, reload, shoot again. Rest, laugh and enjoy this dove paradise. At lunch time, hunters will go back to the lodge to have a delicious lunch, relax and prepare themselves for an incredible afternoon shooting. It starts around 2:30 pm and continues until sunset.

Q DUCK, DOVE AND PERDIZ MIXED BAG WING-SHOOTING PACKAGES

MIXED BAG SHOOTING TAKES PLACE IN ENTRE RÍOS PROVINCE. STRATEGICALLY LOCATED, DUE TO THE FACT THAT THE AREA IS SURROUNDED BY THOUSANDS OF SQUARE MILES OF MARSHES, ALSO CALLED “BANADOS”, WHICH FORM THE GREAT PARANA RIVER (ONE OF THE LARGEST ONES IN SOUTH AMERICA). IT OFFERS CLOSE PROXIMITY TO ABUNDANT POPULATION OF DUCK (FOURTEEN DUCK SPECIES), PARTRIDGE & DOVES, IN THE MOST EXCLUSIVE HUNTING ENVIRONMENT. The characteristics of this region provide the perfect environment for large quantities of ducks and partridge . In addition, the lodge is situated on the coast of Gualeguay river, between the marshes and the high fields that are mostly used for crops, therefore you can find millions of doves as well. Entre Ríos is known for its prolific fauna, its great care for the environment, and its deep respect for the law. We can proudly say that conservationism is a high value for our company. Hunters will shoot three kind of feathers during the same hunting day, every day! The shooting After a hearty breakfast and short drive to the hunting area by 4 wheel drive vehicules,the shooting usually begins at dawn, about 7:30 am and it slows down by about 9:30 am for duck hunting. A choice of beverages will be supplied in each hunter’ blind. Right after that, Perdiz' hunt will take place. This amazing hunting is done with dogs. Hunters will have to walk for about one or two hours and they can expect to harvest up to ten birds per day. After lunch and having a “siesta”, hunters will enjoy a high volume dove shooting in the afternoon. It starts around 2:30 pm until sunset. Every hunter will have a designated experienced bird boy, who will deal with any hunting need that may have during the stay, also he will be in charge of calling the ducks and recharging cartridges. Duck hunters will experience decoyed and also passing shoots from a private blind, which are very accessible due to hunters step out of the vehicles into the blind. Dogs (Labs) are used for this kind of hunt. Perdiz shooting is done while walking through the fields accompanied by dogs. Finally, dove shooting is just superb!

• The Serengeti suite is designed in a purple and red combination delivering the colors of our breathtaking Ozark sunsets. This suite’s artwork by D. Arthur and Lisa Wilson might have you believe you are actually in Africa! The presentation of Lisa’s Mixed Media original art, Passion 2 and Passion 4, hangs over the Queen size bed. The Serengeti suite has many giclee prints like along with a beautiful male lion print over the love seat. Wildebeest, zebras, and giraffes fill this room along with fantastic photographs taken by Scott Smith, our TCWR resident photographer. The private deck of this suite boasts both views of the sprawling valley and beautiful sunrises.

• The Kalahari suite is a cozy escape with an exotic theme of bamboo and jewel tones throughout. The artistic bamboo headboard above the Queen bed is complemented by original abstract art from Lisa Wilson and D. Arthur Wilson’s Wild Expressionism limited editions. As you relax on either the front or back decks, the gentle caroling of the big cats is music to your ears!

While you’re not able to pet the exotic animals like the Red Kangaroos or the Patagonian Maras, you can give as many hugs to the goats as you’d like. You can also visit the large tortoises, horses, donkeys, camels, and adorable and spunky chickens. If you’re feeling brave, you can take a turn holding the resident snake or hissing cockroaches.

All the animals at Safari Farm are personal pets owned by Lynn Closterman and have a permanent loving home at the petting zoo.

Safari Farm Petting Zoo is open Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday from 11 am – 4 pm weather permitting. Admission is $13.00 per person and children two and under are free. Cash and credit cards accepted.
