The following is a very brief summary walkthrough of Journey .

The easiest way to play the game is to merely 'walk towards the mountain'; the mountain is the only goal, and aside from the glyphs and symbols there really isn't much else to do (unless you wish to run around aimlessly and explore). This walkthrough is a possible route one could take in Journey, although it's much more beneficial to go along on your own.

Aside from the walkthrough, you may want to collect the PS3 Trophies , Ancient Glyphs , or Glowing Symbols .

The Beginning [ ]

Walk up the sand dune to begin the game. Walk toward the first pile of rubble to pick up your first glowing symbol . Head toward the mountain and you will enter "The Hub" where you can pick up two more symbols. Climb/jump/fly up to the top of the middle tower and fly across to the glowing area.

The Bridge [ ]

The Desert [ ]

Note: You can find the Hidden Desert Flower in this area for a trophy.

The Descent [ ]

The tunnels [ ].

In the tunnels you will have to evade Guardians with spotlights -- if you are in the spotlight when it turns red, the Guardian will tear your scarf . You will also encounter new types of cloth -- long seaweed like cloth that allows you to seemingly swim through the air and jellyfish-like cloths that boost you up to their tops.

Continue through the tunnels, evading the monsters. At the end, the monsters will chase after you until you surf through a magical barrier, which concludes the level.

The Temple [ ]

It is possible to get through the temple without raising the water at all, but you must have gained most, if not all the symbols up until this point. Zigzag upwards to higher and higher platforms/roofs. There is no achievement for this, but if you make it to the side room without raising the water from 2nd level to 3rd level, you can see the whale swimming in a circle on the ceiling and even go up there and play on its back.

The Mountain [ ]

There are no glowing scarf pieces in The Mountain. The Mountain is the most difficult level and is very emotionally draining. The snow will drain your scarf's energy. You will have to battle through strong winds, so hide behind some stones during the slow winds. You will also have to evade some more flying spotlight monsters by veering far to the side or hiding under blocks. You will get weaker and weaker but must walk along a cliff up through an entryway. Avoid more wind gusts as you walk through a broken building. The final section is a windy, snowy section. You will continue to get weaker and weaker until you finally sink into the snow.

The Summit [ ]

A being will wake you up and send you flying to the summit of the mountain. You will have a full scarf and seemingly unlimited energy. Fly to the top of the mountain where you will reach your final destination.

How to Save Your Progress in Black Myth Wukong

• Sadly, there is no manual save option in the latest Black Myth: Wukong game.
• However, the game comes with an autosave feature and shrines that act as checkpoints similar to the Souls games.
• Head over to the shrines (you discover along the way) and select the the rest option to quickly save your progress in the game.

Black Myth Wukong: Save Your Progress

• During your journey, you are bound to encounter the Shrines which act as a checkpoint . This acts very similar to the Bonfires, Sculptor’s Idols, Grace, etc you find in FromSoftware games.
• As soon as you find one, you don’t need any item as Wukong plucks his hair to transform it into an incense stick. You just have to offer it to the shrine to access it .
• Next, you have to go with the ‘ Rest ‘ option as it restores you to full health and respawns the enemies.
• As you rest, your progress will be saved and a golden thread icon will be showcased on the screen to indicate that you’ve saved your progress in Black Myth Wukong.
• As usual, do not ever close the game while the icon stays on your screen as doing so can lead to losing your progress.

Few stories in the history of the world are as famous or have been told as many times as the tale of Sun Wukong. In fact, a new adaptation of the story, Black Myth: Wukong , is currently taking the world by storm, racking up record-breaking numbers on Steam . The game is a gorgeous retelling of the Chinese legend, complete with some of the best action-RPG gameplay of the year so far. But if playing the game has left you curious about the other ways this particular legend has been told, there are plenty of movies that fit the bill.

We’ve collected a list of some of the best retellings of the Sun Wukong legend, as well as a few other movies that make a perfect thematic match for Black Myth, so you can stay in this legendary world long after you’ve finished the game.

Monkey King: Hero is Back

What it is: A crowdfunded animated movie that became China’s highest-grossing animated film of 2015, Hero is Back follows Sun Wukong’s fall from power and his road trip with a child monk obsessed with the monkey king’s famous feats.

A Chinese Odyssey

What it is: The great action-comedy star Stephen Chow gets his turn at Sun Wukong in this loose adaptation of Journey to the West . It’s a two-parter – Pandora’s Box and Cinderella , followed by a much delayed Part Three in 2016.

Journey to the West: Conquering the Demons

What it is: Chow wasn’t content with just one Journey to the West adaptation – after starring in A Chinese Odyssey , he directed Conquering the Demons and it’s sequel, The Demons Strike Back . As usual for Chow’s movies, it balances slapstick humor and big set pieces for an entertaining time.

The Monkey King 1-3

What it is: Director Soi Cheang’s ( SPL 2: A Time for Consequences; Twilight of the Warriors: Walled In ) trilogy of Sun Wukong movies. The first stars Donnie Yen, while the latter two star Aaron Kwok. The first one isn’t Cheang’s best work, but they are high budget modern adaptations of the story and the series gets better as it goes along.

Where to watch it: Free with a library card on Hoopla, free with ads on Tubi and Plex, or for digital rental or purchase on Apple and Amazon. The Monkey King 2 and 3 are both on Prime Video.

The Forbidden Kingdom

What it is: The rare “Hollywood wuxia,” Forbidden Kingdom stars Jet Li as the Monkey King and Jackie Chan as Lu Yan. It is also primarily about a kid from Boston who is obsessed with Journey to the West and wuxia, so your mileage may vary.

Where to watch it: For free with ads on Pluto TV and Freevee, or available to rent on Amazon and Apple

What it is: Adapted from a different 16th-century Chinese novel, Ne Zha was a smash hit at the Chinese box office and spawned a sequel, Legend of Deification . The movie follows a boy with great powers who is the feared protector of his community, and features stunning action sequences.

New Gods: Nezha Reborn

What it is: A more modern adaptation of the Nezha story, this one sees the mythic figure reborn as a motorbike-riding rebel.

What it is: A 2021 Chinese fantasy action-adventure about a writer whose fantasy novel seems to be having a mysterious impact on the real world, and the man who has been sent to kill him.

Dragon Ball

What it is: It’s Dragon Ball , duh. But it’s an excuse to say Son Goku is based on Sun Wukong.

Another crabs journey won’t save

I’ve been playing another crabs journey for a few hours and when I turned off the game and my console I got back on later for all my progress to be gone, so I ended up playing a bit more and clicked save game which also didn’t save so I am a bit frustrated on why it won’t save

New Open World Survival Game Has You Playing As a Duck

Raccoon Logic recently announced Revenge of the Savage Planet, the sequel to 2020's madcap adventure Journey to the Savage Planet . In this game, players take on the role of an employee of mega-corporation Alta Interglobal who is forced to survive on a series of strange planets after their position is terminated. It features more tools to use, more puzzles to solve, more planets to explore, and more creatures to interact with. The Raccoon Logic team revealed that a sequel was always planned, as they greatly enjoyed working with the IP and felt that they had more stories to tell. However, real-life events greatly affected the direction they chose for Revenge of the Savage Planet.

Game Rant met with the Raccoon Logic team for an on-site reveal of Revenge of the Savage Planet . When asked when they came up with the idea for a sequel, creative director Alex Hutchinson revealed that they "always wanted to do two games." Hutchinson and the team feel that this is the "happy medium," allowing them to further expand on the Savage Planet IP without getting bored or going too far.

Tiny Build Games releases a brand-new beta launch trailer for its upcoming open-world game Duckside, which will feature ducks battling for survival.

Savage Planet Was Always Meant To Be A Two-Game IP

According to Hutchinson, plans for a second game were discussed during the development of the original Journey to the Savage Planet. Many members of the team had previously worked on later installments of long-running series, such as Assassin's Creed and Far Cry, and knew the benefits of making a second game using the same IP, rather than stopping at one. Technical design director Marc-Antoine Lussier had this to say:

"The first sequel feels amazing because you know the IP works. You know exactly what to fix. There's no need to debate the IP."

Hutchinson agreed, explaining that the team debated whether the original Journey's vibe would be "more Subnautica or more Metroid Prime." These discussions didn't need to happen when working on Revenge, as the team already had a feel for the IP. They were able to add elements that they couldn't fit into the original game, such as whip and grappling hook tools, a fully customizable Habitat, and the ability to capture creatures and interact with them at home base.

Real-Life Events Influenced The Sequel's Development

While the intention was always to make a sequel to Journey to the Savage Planet, real-life events almost prevented this from occurring. The original game was developed by Typhoon Studios, which was then acquired by Google to work on its Stadia project . After Typhoon was made redundant and shut down, several of its original members re-formed as Raccoon Logic, where they were ultimately able to regain the Savage Planet IP from Google and begin work on Revenge.

Revenge of the Savage Planet expands on the formula begun with Journey - there are multiple planets to explore instead of one, more creatures to interact with, more tools to use, and a more elaborate central plot filled with hidden secrets. The team was able to take everything they learned from making Journey to the Savage Planet and expand on it to make a bigger, crazier, and more elaborate sequel. However, the Raccoon Logic team isn't sure yet if a third game is on the horizon - they haven't written it off entirely, but are also excited about the possibility of experimenting with new IPs after Revenge of the Savage Planet releases in 2025.

The Paris Paralympics flame is lit before beginning its journey

Two weeks after French star swimmer  Léon Marchand  extinguished the Olympic flame to close the  Paris Olympics , the spotlight is now on its  Paralympic  counterpart.

British Paralympians Helene Raynsford and Gregor Ewan on Saturday lit the flame in Stoke Mandeville, a village northwest of London widely considered the birthplace of the Paralympic Games.

The flame will now travel to France under the English Channel for a four-day relay from Atlantic Ocean shores to Mediterranean beaches, from mountains in the Pyrenees to the Alps.

Its journey will end in Paris on Wednesday during the Paralympics opening ceremony — with the lighting of a unique  Olympic cauldron  attached to a hot-air balloon that will fly over the French capital every evening during 11 days of competition.

The Flame is Lit

The lighting ceremony of the Paralympic Heritage Flame was held in Buckinghamshire, where the Stoke Mandeville Games were first held in 1948 for a small group of wheelchair athletes who had sustained spinal injuries during World War II.

The man behind the idea was Ludwig Guttmann, a Jewish neurosurgeon who fled Nazi Germany and worked at Britain’s Stoke Mandeville hospital. At the time, suffering a spinal injury was considered a death sentence, and patients were discouraged from moving. Guttmann made the patients sit up and work muscles, and hit upon competition as way to keep them motivated.

“I don’t know about you guys, but I can feel his presence here today, no doubt about it,” said Andrew Parsons, the president of the International Paralympic Committee, at Saturday’s lighting ceremony, referring to Guttmann.

The President of the Paris 2024 organizing committee Tony Estanguet said that two weeks after closing the Olympics, the French capital was “proud and excited” to host the 17th edition of the Summer Paralympics, the first ever for France.

We are “ready to make it unique and memorable for France and the whole world,” Estanguet said.

The Stoke Mandeville Games later grew into the first Paralympic Games, which took place in Rome in 1960. The Heritage Flame ceremony in Stoke Mandeville was first held ahead of the London Paralympics in 2012.

Crossing the Channel

The flame will on Sunday cross the sea like its  Olympic twin did when it arrived in France  from Greece in May — but this time via the Channel Tunnel to mark the start of the Paralympic relay.

A group of 24 British athletes will embark on the underwater journey through the 30-mile tunnel. Midway through, they will hand over the flame to 24 French athletes who will bring it ashore in Calais. It will be used to light 12 torches, symbolizing 11 days of competition and the opening ceremony.

Once on French soil, the flame’s 12 offshoots will head in different directions to kick off the Paris Olympics’ encore and aim to rekindle enthusiasm for the Games.

Among 1,000 torchbearers will be former Paralympians, young para athletes, volunteers from Paralympic federations, innovators of advanced technological support, people who dedicate their lives to others with impairments and people who work in the non-profit sector to support carers.

They will take the flame to 50 cities across the country to highlight communities that are committed to promoting inclusion in sport and building awareness of living with disabilities.

An exceptional flame will be lit in Paris on Sunday to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the French capital from Nazi Germany occupation during World War II.

Highlighting para sport infrastructure and innovation

The relay will highlight places that are committed to developing para sports, as well as places where famous Paralympians grew up, such as Lorient, home of double Paralympic sailing gold medalist Damien Seguin. It will also stop in Blois, which has a sports complex named after its Paralympic track athlete Marie-Amélie Le Fur who has nine medals, including two golds from Rio.

The relay will go through Châlons-en-Champagne, which has the only gymnasium in France designed to facilitate access to sport for people with intellectual disabilities. And Rouen, Chartres, and Troyes, which offer a range of disciplines, from sledge hockey to para tennis, para triathlon, adapted baseball and para climbing.

The flame will stop in Chambly, which, with its three sports facilities adapted for para sports, has served as a training camp location alongside Deauville and Antibes.

Meet a star of the Games — the cauldron

On Wednesday, the 12 flames will become one again when the relay ends in central Paris after visiting historical sites along the city’s famed boulevards and plazas before lightening the cauldron during the three-hour opening show.

The cauldron is the first in Olympic history to light up without the use of fossil fuels. It uses water and electric light and is attached to a balloon. It made a stunning first flight at the Olympics opening ceremony.

Each day of the Paralympics, the cauldron will fly more than 197 feet above the Tuileries gardens from sunset until 2 a.m.

Saving Your Game in Journey to the Savage Planet

First things first, it’s worth pointing out that there’s no option to perform a manual save. You won’t be able to open up the options menu and simply press ‘Save.’

Instead, to record your progress, you’ll need to wait for Journey to the Savage Planet’s auto-save system to kick in. This tends to appear whenever you make some progress on a quest, or if you enter a new area on the planet itself.

You can also trigger an auto-save by grabbing one of the orange goos that increases your health and stamina , or by using the fast travel system in the game.

The game will bring a little pop-up in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen to let you know that an auto-save has been executed and been successful.

At that point, you can exit out of the game or return to the main menu, safe in the knowledge you can pick up where you left off.

Under sea and over land, the Paris Paralympics flame is beginning an exceptional journey

Two weeks after French star swimmer Léon Marchand extinguished the Olympic flame to close the Paris Olympics, the spotlight is now on its Paralympic counterpart.

The flame will be lit on Saturday in Stoke Mandeville, a village northwest of London widely considered the birthplace of the Paralympic Games. The flame will then travel to France under the English Channel for a four-day relay from Atlantic Ocean shores to Mediterranean beaches, from mountains in the Pyrenees to the Alps.

Its journey will end in Paris on Wednesday during the Paralympics opening ceremony — with the lighting of a unique Olympic cauldron attached to a hot-air balloon that will fly over the French capital every evening during 11 days of competition.

The lighting ceremony of the Paralympic Heritage Flame on Saturday will be held in Buckinghamshire, where the Stoke Mandeville Games were first held in 1948 for a small group of wheelchair athletes who had sustained spinal injuries during World War II.

The man behind the idea was Ludwig Guttmann, a Jewish neurosurgeon who fled Nazi Germany and worked at Britain’s Stoke Mandeville hospital. At the time, suffering a spinal injury was considered a death sentence, and patients were discouraged from moving. Guttmann made the patients sit up and work muscles, and hit upon competition as way to keep them motivated.

Those later grew into the first Paralympic Games, which took place in Rome in 1960. The Heritage Flame ceremony in Stoke Mandeville was first held ahead of the London Paralympics in 2012.

Crossing the Channel

The flame will then cross the sea like its Olympic twin did when it arrived in France from Greece in May — but this time via the Channel Tunnel. That marks the start of the Paralympic relay.

A group of 24 British athletes will embark on the underwater journey through the 50-kilometer long (30-mile) tunnel. Midway through, they will hand over the flame to 24 French athletes who will bring it ashore in Calais. It will be used to light 12 torches, symbolizing 11 days of competition and the opening ceremony.

Back in spring training, during Shohei Ohtani ’s early days with his new club, people around Dodgers camp couldn’t help but dream of what the two-way star’s debut season with the team could look like.

Coming off his second most valuable player award and a record $700-million contract with the Dodgers in the offseason, Ohtani already was viewed as the best player in baseball. And after undergoing Tommy John surgery at the end of last year , he entered this season focused solely on being a designated hitter.

The hope at the time was that Ohtani’s offense wouldn’t be burdened by his elbow surgery and rehab. That his production could be enhanced by a season of only hitting . That he somehow could elevate his game further and pursue a new set of historic targets that previously had been beyond his reach.

Six months later, Ohtani surpassed even the loftiest of those expectations, becoming just the sixth player in history to produce a 40-home run, 40-stolen base season, and the first to eclipse both thresholds before the start of September.

Ohtani completed the first 40-40 season in franchise history in the most dramatic fashion Friday night, hitting a walk-off grand slam in the bottom of the ninth inning to lift the Dodgers to a 7-3 victory over the Tampa Bay Rays before a crowd of 45,556 in Chavez Ravine.

Ohtani’s 40th homer of the season and first walk-off shot of his seven-year career was prefaced by his 40th stolen base, which he swiped in the fourth inning without a throw after leading off with an infield single.

“I mean, 40-40 in the same game, walk-off grand slam … it’s just storybook,” manager Dave Roberts said. “I always say that you can’t script a game, but man, if there was a script, that couldn’t have been written any better. Shohei just never ceases to amaze.”

The score was 3-3 when Will Smith was hit by a Manuel Rodriguez pitch to open the ninth. Tommy Edman lined a single to center field, and both runners advanced on Miguel Rojas’ sacrifice bunt.

Gavin Lux, with the infield in, grounded sharply to Rays second baseman Brandon Lowe, who made a diving stop to his left and threw to first for the second out, the runners holding.

Roberts sent the left-handed-hitting Max Muncy to bat for Kiké Hernández, whose three-run homer had tied the score in the fifth. Rays manager Kevin Cash countered with left-hander Colin Poche, who walked Muncy to load the bases.

As Ohtani approached the batter’s box, he wasn’t thinking home run.

“A walk would have been fine,” Ohtani said through an interpreter. “I was just trying to get on base.”

Yeah, right. Roberts said he could sense Ohtani was about to do something dramatic, and Ohtani didn’t disappoint, crushing a first-pitch slider 389 feet to right-center field, a towering drive that just cleared the glove of leaping center fielder Jose Siri. The ball bounced onto the field, and Siri threw it back into the bleachers.

“It was really hard to tell from my perspective,” Ohtani said, when asked if he had gotten enough of it. “I didn’t know if the ball had hit the fence or was caught, but I saw the umpire raise his hand up, and that was the moment I knew it went out.”

Ohtani’s teammates mobbed him at home plate, as the Dodgers won for the 11th time in 14 games and maintained their National League West leads of four games over Arizona and 4½ games over San Diego. When Ohtani came out for a curtain call, he was doused with a bucket of ice water.

“One of my top memorable moments,” Ohtani said, when asked where this game ranked in his career, “and I hope that I can do more and make more memorable moments.”

A 40-40 season has long been one of baseball’s most exclusive statistical feats.

It was 1988 when Jose Canseco of the Oakland Athletics recorded the first 40-40 season. Over the next two decades, Barry Bonds (1996), Alex Rodriguez (1998) and Alfonso Soriano (2006) joined him.

Last year, Ronald Acuña Jr. of the Atlanta Braves ended a 17-year drought of 40-40 seasons in emphatic style, swiping 73 bags to capture unanimous National League MVP honors.

Ohtani appears to be on a similar path, entering the final stretch as the overwhelming favorite for NL MVP and on the verge of more history. He looks likely to have the first 45-45 season. If he heats up over the final month, 50-50 might not be out of the question.

“It is,” Roberts said, when asked if 50-50 is within reach. “That’s never been done, right? With this guy and over a month of baseball left, I think anything’s possible.”

Is Ohtani gunning for 50-50?

“The most important thing is to be able to contribute to winning the game, and obviously the closer I get to 50-50, the more I’m contributing to the team winning,” he said. “If that’s how it is, I’m happy for that.”

While Ohtani surpassed 40 home runs in both his 2021 and 2023 MVP seasons with the Angels, he never had stolen more than 26 bases as a big leaguer, always practicing some level of restraint on the basepaths to conserve energy and protect his body for his pitching.

But Ohtani ranks second in the majors in stolen bases behind Cincinnati Reds speedster Elly De La Cruz, who has 60, and he has been caught only four times.

“I know he’s taken very good care of his legs to be able to do that and to be that dynamic player,” Roberts said. “He’s doing his homework on opposing pitchers, he’s getting great jumps, and he’s a much better base stealer, very efficient.

“Whereas early in the season, and even years when we played against him, he was tentative, and his stolen-base percentage wasn’t great, he’s now an elite base stealer with a high success rate.”

Several other Dodgers had a hand in Friday night’s win, starting with Hernández, who followed Edman’s bloop single and Lux’s one-out walk in the fifth with a tying three-run homer to left-center, his eighth of the season.

Right-hander Bobby Miller, who missed two months because of an inflamed shoulder and was demoted to triple A in July, delivered his best start since his season debut in late March, giving up three runs and seven hits — two of them home runs — in six innings, striking out nine and walking one.

Miller maintained his fastball velocity throughout, averaging 97.8 mph with his four-seamer, and was able to throw his curveball and changeup for strikes. He threw 68 of 96 pitches for strikes, induced 18 swinging strikes and closed his outing by striking out the side — all with curveballs — in the sixth.

Reliever Ryan Brasier retired the side in order in the seventh, Evan Phillips pitched around Lowe’s one-out double in a scoreless eighth, and Michael Kopech struck out two of three in a scoreless ninth, Josh Lowe with a 100-mph fastball and Siri with a 101-mph fastball.

Kopech increased his scoreless streak to 10⅓ innings in 10 games since the Dodgers acquired the right-hander from the Chicago White Sox on July 29, and he’s given up only one hit to 33 batters, with 15 strikeouts and one walk.

But in the end, it was Sho who stole the show.

“I think that he wants to be the greatest player to ever play this game,” Roberts said of Ohtani, “and when you start doing things like this, you’re certainly staking your claim.”

im having a hard time trying to do smuggling missions and i dont know how to get the item i need for it

specifically, slaves 

as i wanted to discourage slave trade a bit, you cannot buy slaves (sometimes krogneath may have some)

The game is really great. 

The only thing is, I still don't understand how to free the slaves. The manual just has a line about freeing them. Help^^

A typo has sneaked by.

After installing mining laser (day1) T'Ris says... "I noticed that the a minining lasrt has com online." shoud be... "I noticed that a mining laser has come online."

And another one.

After T'Ris updates the navigation computer T'Ris says... "its signatures are interesting..." should probably be "its signature is interesting..."

Yet another one.

After Nimhe comes onboard the first time. MC(Jim) says..."I have prepared Guest Cabin One for you." ..."The uplink is installed as well." should probably be... "The uplink is installed there as well."

Also the new game title page still has "this game is under development..." on it. And finally in the Active Quest menu

Should the show/hide future content button be removed now that the games is suppost to be finished?

How do I update my game? do I delete my game and download the new game?

1. transfer your gear into the the multiverse pod (if you want), see walkthrough

2. Download and install new version into a new folder

3. Pick up your gear and continue at a suitable point

So, I create a new folder. Name it something like V1.40 and download the new file there. Can I delete the old version? I have limited storage. Just wanted to confirm, not used to downloading game like this.

I hope there will be further work done on the Pony Walk and T'Ris Pet stories.
