This is Jackson's first trek across North America since here her Number Ones greatest hits tour in 2011.

Tickets for the Unbreakable tour, ranging from $45 to $250 each, are to go on sale to the general public on June 22 at all Ticketmaster outlets, online at livenation.com and by phone at (800) 745-3000.

In addition to hitting the road and recording a new album, Jackson is also launching her own record label. With Rhythm Nation, Jackson will become the second African American female recording artist to form her own label.

It's safe to say, 2015 is shaping up to be Jackson's year!

Everything We Know About So Far About Janet Jackson's New Las Vegas Residency

As Janet Jackson ‘s Together Again Tour wraps up, the icon has announced an upcoming Las Vegas residency at Resorts World Theatre.

“We’re so excited to announce our new residency at Resorts World Las Vegas launching New Year’s week,” Jackson said in an Instagram post shared on Aug. 21. “This is going to be a lot of fun and I look forward to spending the start of the New Year with you!! We truly can’t wait.”

The “Janet Jackson: Las Vegas” residency is set to kick off on Dec. 30 and continue with a New Year’s Eve show with eight more performances scheduled for 2025, including Valentine’s Day weekend. Tickets to all 10 performances will go on sale beginning on Aug. 28 at 10 a.m. PT on AXS.com .

“Janet Jackson is undoubtedly one of the biggest names in pop music,” Bobby Reynolds, senior vice president of AEG Presents Las Vegas said, according to Variety . “We could not be more thrilled to close out 2024 with her return to the Las Vegas Strip and her venue debut at our award-winning Resorts World Theatre, and to kick off 2025 with a run of sure-to-be-unforgettable shows. This is a residency fans won’t want to miss.”

For Jackson’s Together Again Tour, she trekked across North America, Africa, Asia and Europe for a total of 96 shows. At the time of the tour announcement in 2022, Jackson teased that new music was coming, though it didn’t happen.

“The pandemic and on top of that there were a couple of things that I needed to straighten out in my backyard,” she told On Air With Ryan Seacrest back in April.  “So now, since we’re past all that, we’re going about putting out new music for sure,” she said.

It marks nine years since Jackson’s last studio album, 2015’s Unbreakable , which spawned the hit “No Sleeep,” which peaked at No. 18 on Billboard’s R&B chart.   In 2018, she dropped “Made for Now” with Daddy Yankee, which garnered praise due to its unifying message.

Jackson’s most recent Vegas residency — 2019’s “Metamorphosis” at the Park MGM — grossed nearly $13 million across 18 shows. The feat makes Jackson the fifth highest-grossing female artist in residency history.

The beloved music legend’s new album and highly-lauded world tour was at times shrouded in mystery as Jackson and her team plotted her journey back to the top of the charts. But now that the curtain has finally been drawn on Jackson's latest musical takeover, we’ve gathered several secrets -- and some equally fierce photos -- from Ms. Jackson’s spectacular new concert tour!

Janet Jackson brings ‘Unbreakable World Tour’ to Miami

Speaking to Entertainment Weekly , legendary music producer and writer Jimmy Jam revealed that Jackson was often pulling double-duty while he completed the album with her and his longtime partner Terry Lewis ! Jam said that many of the days toward the end of them finishing the project included Jackson doing day-long tour rehearsals and then making her way to the studio to continue working on ideas for the album.

Her fashions for the Unbreakable era have also been a heated conversation point for many of Jackson's fans. Previously known for super sexy, skin-baring tour costumes, Jackson’s looks this time around are a lot more demure. Her more covered-up outfits for the show haven’t necessarily been a hit among all of her fans, but Jackson is still keeping her looks high fashion despite her decision to reveal a little less skin than expected!

The singer and her dancers rock custom-made wedge sneakers by Giuseppe Zanotti . The special edition sneaks will also be available for purchase in select stores this fall! "I am thrilled to have been asked by Janet to create the shoes for her tour," Zanotti said in a statement. "She has been a great friend for many years, and I have the utmost respect for her as one of the most iconic and outstanding artists and style icons of our time." Jackson and her dancers were styled by designer Kim Bowen for the show, with the singer’s show currently featuring just two costume changes -- a major change from the numerous costume changes she had during her previous world tours! 

But things haven’t been completely drama-free for Jackson during her first few months back on the road. She had to pause her tour preparations back in July after her father, Joe Jackson , suffered a stroke in Brazil. And she has recently faced reports that doctors advised her not to embark on her world tour due to a medical issue.

Entertaiment Tonight revealed that Jackson is “suffering from an ear issue that is causing her to travel by luxury tour bus now rather than fly.” ET added that doctors urged her not to perform her Sept. 11 show in Grand Rapids, Michigan, but Jackson didn’t want to disappoint her fans and performed anyways!

Many fans are convinced the reported ear issue is likely related to her troubles with migraines associated with vertigo, which caused the star to cancel several shows while completing her Rock Witchu Tour in 2008. But even though she did cancel her appearance at this year’s iHeartRadio Music Festival, Jackson looks to be in perfect form as she continues her hit-filled journey across the world for her tour! Janet Jackson has officially announced her Las Vegas residency at Resorts World Theatre, launching during New Year’s week.

The “Janet Jackson: Las Vegas” residency will begin Dec. 30 and include a show on New Year’s Eve, with eight additional performances set for 2025 including Valentine’s Day weekend. Tickets to all ten performances will be available for purchase Aug. 28 at 10 a.m. PT on AXS.com.

At the time of the tour’s announce back in 2022, Jackson teased new music from her was imminent, though it never manifested. Jackson — who released her most-recent LP, “Unbreakable,” in 2015 — told “ On Air With Ryan Seacrest ” in April that “the pandemic and on top of that was a couple of things that I needed to straighten out in my backyard” were the main reasons she hadn’t been able to work on her original music. “So now, since we’re past all that, we’re going about putting out new music for sure,” she said.

What a fantastic experience! Soooo cool! So, everyone has heard of Janet Jackson, and most people can sing along to a few of her songs. She's kind of a big deal. So when my friend told me he had tickets, and asked if I wanted to go, it was a no brainer. But I had absolutely no idea how amazing she is, especially in concert. It was epic. I don't use that word lightly. She was fun, and energetic, and super awesome to her backup people and to the crowds. You could FEEL a connection. I wanted to write this review mainly so that people who are going to this same concert tonight and tomorrow could know what to expect. Here are my recommendations: 1. Make reservations, or eat before you're near. Everything nearby was packed. I saw people wandering around trying to find a place to eat. 2. If you got "MT VIP Entry" or whatever don't brag to your friends. I got that and it was early entry into a "museum" where you could see some of Janet's outfits, records, and pictures. It was neat but not the coolest thing ever. 3. Bring a jacket. It's freezing, especially if you get there early. 4. Wear a hat, with a brim. The lasers look cool but they're completely blinding. 5. Bring earplugs. I meant to but forgot. It's so loud it hurts. And takes hours to recover. I was shouting at people accidentally hahah. 6. It's a long concert, so be prepared for that. 7. Any tshirt or sweatshirts (starting at $45) that you buy include a free copy of her newest album. Have fun! I wasn't a giant Janet fan, and now I am!! If you're already a fan you'll have the best time ever!

I've been to many, many big name concerts and this one was great fun but what is up with everyone sitting during the show? Made me wish I was back in NYC at MSG. ;) Janet is one of my absolute favorites. Always has been, always will be. Her performance was awesome. Of course I am taking into consideration the woman is now nearly 50. She rocked it! She sang medleys of all her best songs and it was such a fun trip down memory lane. I had a great time at the Sunday show despite the boring crowd and the fact that the bouncers were a major pain in the butt. I know, I know, you are not supposed to stand in the entryways but seriously, if the people around you are practically asleep, you kinda want to go where you can boogie and watch the show. It was over in a flash!

I saw her live when I was younger and I must say this show was much more entertaining for me. She has such a great energy and her singing was really good when she was singing live, as far as the lip singing; that's just part of enjoying the dancing so I don't look down at it one bit! I love miss Jackson more than ever after this latest performance; in her 50's raising a toddler! Great job Janet!

Went to Sunday's show and maybe she was a little tired but I was disappointed with her show. First off, why was there a DJ who played for the first 35 minutes of HER show? Second, she sang, what, 10 songs? Third, she spend about 20 minutes introducing her band & cast. Personally, I could care less about her band & DJ. I paid hard earned money to hear Janet sing! Walked out of show very disappointed! Normally, your all pumped from the great songs and have a skip in your step after concerts! She could have done much better!

Best ever. Really enjoyed every second of her concert. She was non-stop rocking the roof off! It was worth the cost

Horrible, she was late by 40 minutes. Tried old singer. Worst singing ever. Stop working and retire, Janet your worthless
