She didn't get rid of her old band members, but Miranda Lambert did hire some new people to join her band for her current Wildcard Tour . The 36-year-old reveals her band is now bigger than ever, but not just because she wanted a different sound. Instead, Lambert chose to add more band members to help the ones she already has, some who have been with her for years, and she is immensely proud of all of them.

"I've got a huge band now because we've grown organically over time," Lambert told Grammy.com . "I've got some guys who've been with me for 15 to 18 years and I've got some guys we just added just because some of them are getting old and can't play the whole show. [Laughs.] I have a keyboard player who sings great background vocals and my friend Gwen Sebastian who's an amazing singer.

"We're not like fancy on the road," she continued. "We have a great production right now and a beautiful set, but we just go up there and play the songs. There are not a lot of tricks and craziness and pyro and all that. We rely on how good the band is, and that's what makes me comfortable."

Much has changed in Lambert's music, and her life, since her freshman Kerosene album was released in 2005, but at the core she is who she has always been –– and always will be.

"I'm always trying to reinvent myself and find a new sound, but there's always such a common thread in my music," explained the singer. "I think my life actually caught up with my writing. As a young writer, I didn't have a lot of life to write about, but I worked with other people. 'Love Is Looking For You' [from Kerosene ] was deep, and I didn't even get it until I actually lived through it my own self.

"When I hear 'Mess With My Head,' which is my new 'innovative' song, and then I hear 'Kerosene,' I think I'm pretty consistent with my statements and my sounds."

It was "Mess With My Head" that perhaps stretched Lambert the most, part of her proof that she can still evolv e, even after so many years in the business.

"I'm open to new things," Lambert said. "The way we put music down is all changing so quickly — literally day to day, it can change — and I'm not trying to be too old school. I mean, I'm old-school romantic about putting out country records; that's just what I do. But I know I want to stay in the game and go with whatever the changes are, so I'm trying to be flexible."

Miranda Lambert Announces Roadside Bars and Pink Guitars Tour with Maren Morris, Elle King and More

The Miranda Lambert revealed that she will kick off another round of the Roadside Bars and Pink Guitars tour this fall along with Maren Morris, Elle King, Pistol Annies, Tenille Townes, Caylee Hammack and Ashley McBryde

Days after teasing fans with a cryptic Instagram post announcing that something new was “coming soon,” Miranda Lambert has announced that she will be hitting the road along with some famous friends.

The “Vice” singer revealed that she will kick off a reboot of her 2010 Roadside Bars and Pink Guitars tour this fall along with Maren Morris , Elle King , Pistol Annies, Tenille Townes, Caylee Hammack and Ashley McBryde.

“The #RoadsideBarsandPinkGuitars tour is back!” I’m so excited and honored to be on a tour with some of my favorite artists who each inspire me in a different way,” she captioned her big Instagram reveal. She also told her followers that fan club pre-sale begins on April 9.

Lambert’s most recent solo album was 2016’s The Weight of These Wings , though she also released Interstate Gospel with her band Pistol Annies in November.

Her most recent tour, meanwhile, called Livin’ Like Hippies, wrapped in June 2018.

The star has been lying low since she secretly tied the knot with NYPD police officer Brendan McLoughlin in January, though she’ll hit the stage Sunday at the 54th Academy of Country Music Awards.

Lambert is set to perform a flashback mashup of her greatest hits, and will also sing with George Strait as part of the “ACM Flashbacks” series, which honors classic country music hits from a specific year.

She’s up for both Female Artist of the Year and Music Event of the Year, for her feature on Jason Aldean ’s “Drowns the Whiskey.”

The appearance comes two months after she revealed she and McLoughlin secretly said “I do” after meeting in November following a Pistol Annies performance on Good Morning America .

“In honor of Valentine’s Day I wanted to share some news. I met the love of my life. And we got hitched!” Lambert wrote on Instagram in February. “My heart is full. Thank you Brendan McLoughlin for loving me for…. me,” she continued, adding a red heart emoji and the sweet hashtag “theone.”

A friend of the singer told PEOPLE at the time that she was “truly happier than ever.”

“I think he provides for her a state of [normalcy] that balances with her life before she became Miranda Lambert ,” another insider added.

TC3 boasts chart-topping tracks and album cuts for Keith Urban, Tim McGraw, Miranda Lambert and Steven Tyler, to name a few. Miranda Lambert Announces New Tour in 2024 After Closing Residency

Em Casalena

Updated:

Country music star Miranda Lambert does not like to waste time. She just wrapped up her extremely popular Velvet Rodeo residency in Las Vegas this past weekend, and she’s already announced a new US tour ! The “Space In My Heart” singer/songwriter will head across the US and hit both coasts for the upcoming tour, and it looks like she’s taking on the trek alone without any supporting acts.

Videos by American Songwriter

The upcoming Miranda Lambert 2024 Tour will start on April 19 in Ashland, Kentucky at Rock The Country Festival. Unless Lambert adds more tour dates, the tour should end on September 27 in Gautier, Mississippi at The Sound Amphitheater.

Only select shows will have presale events for this tour on April 10 at 10:00 am local. Fans can get access to the presale by signing up for Lambert’s Fan Club . Ticketmaster will also be hosting a few different presale events as well.

General on-sale will go live on April 12 at 10:00 am local. If you’re struggling to find tickets after the presale event, try Stubhub . We tend to recommend this platform before they usually have tickets to sold-out shows, especially for very popular artists like Lambert. Plus, the FanProtect Program ensures that your purchase is legitimate and protected. It’s worth taking a look, at least.

“I’ve been touring since I was 19 years old,” said Lambert in a statement. “So it was nice to step away from the road for a bit and settle into Vegas. That gave us time to miss touring though, so I cannot wait to get back out there on Elvira, my home away from home, and visit the fans across the country that we haven’t seen in a while.”

Don’t miss your chance to see Lambert live this year!

Miranda Lambert on New Album’s ‘Rock Vibe,’ All-Women Tour

By Marissa R. Moss

Marissa R. Moss

It’s early evening on Friday at Chicago’s Country LakeShake Festival, and in a few minutes Miranda Lambert will perform her first full set in eight months, headlining the day’s all-women lineup. But prior to taking the stage, she’s watching Maren Morris’ set from the wings, tapping her white boots along with the rhythm.

It’s an appropriate way for Lambert to make an official reentry to the touring circuit. She’s made it routine to boost other up-and-coming female artists and will be taking only women — including Morris, Elle King and her trio Pistol Annies — out on her fall Roadside Bars and Pink Guitars run. From the sound of it, she’ll be taking new music with her too. For the follow-up to her masterful double album The Weight of These Wings , Lambert decided to switch things up, recruiting Jay Joyce (Eric Church) instead of longtime collaborator Frank Liddell for production, recording at Joyce’s Neon Cross studio in East Nashville.

Lambert is living proof of country music’s disconnect between what actually gets airplay vs. critical acclaim — and, in her case, what fans are buying en masse. Since its release in 2016, The Weight of These Wings has gone platinum and, despite never cracking the Top 20 on Billboard’s Country Airplay, its third single “Tin Man” was nominated for two Grammy Awards and won the ACM’s Song of the Year.

“If you want to hear girls, you have to find them,” she says, standing in the backstage trailer she is sharing with the Pistol Annies in blue tie-dye fringe. Today’s festival, if anything, is proof that fans are willing to do the work. Work that Lambert and the women playing LakeShake have been doing all along. We spoke to Lambert about why LakeShake is special, what she has in store for new music and how she’s tired of talking about a problem that shouldn’t be up to the women alone to fix.

The all-women Friday lineup looks like a bit of action — a way to help dismiss the claims that festival bookers hold on to about how women don’t sell tickets, can’t headline or that their fans don’t buy booze. You’ve been taking action for a long time, bringing women on the road and supporting your female peers. Does this feel like progress? Yes, but I am tired of the conversation. I’ve been doing this since before the conversation started, and I’m going to do it after the conversation is over. It should have been a given that we have always supported each other. But now that it’s this poster-waving campaign shit, I’m like, we’re delivering music. It’s not on us that it’s not being played. It isn’t our fault. There is nothing else we should be doing better, because we are doing it.

Editor’s picks

Every awful thing trump has promised to do in a second term, the 250 greatest guitarists of all time, the 500 greatest albums of all time, inside sammy davis jr.'s secret satanic past .

Does LakeShake feel different than other festivals? It does. I’m watching all the girls, and we’ve all been on a group text, really excited. When you look at the lineup, it’s really strong. I’ve worked so hard and so long and I see those girls doing it: some of us have to go on at daylight, and it’s not your favorite, but you get up there and kick ass. It’s really cool, and watching those girls makes me want to go up there and just do a really great job.

It’s a great crowd, too. Not just women, but plenty of men and plenty of fans period. It’s packed. The crowd is so supportive. To me, that’s a statement from the fans. They want [women artists]. So they should give it to them. We’re not just singing “girl songs.” We have a lot to say besides that.

There’s a rumor going around that you’re going to call Maren Morris, Lindsay Ell, Cassadee Pope, Lauren Alaina and the Pistol Annies for a cover of U2’s “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For” at the end of your set. I thought it would be really cool to have a moment when we all stand up there together and show that we’re not just talking shit, we’re doing what we say we are doing, which is supporting each other and delivering great music.

https://www.instagram.com/p/BzD5viJD7ii/?igshid=qqk577ctvw60

It would certainly be nice if women could stop talking about “the problem” and more people in the industry could actually deliver some solutions. And just because there is a demand for it. There obviously is. And good on [LakeShake promoter] Live Nation for not making it a big thing about us being females. Just putting LakeShake on Friday for sale, and it happens to be all girls. It wasn’t even a thing.

Right. They didn’t trivialize it by calling it the “Lady Hoedown” or something. To pigeonhole it. Then it’s just part of the same whole conversation.

So where are you on new music? You played a new song, “Locomotive,” at CMA Fest and it seems as though an album is in the works. I’m so excited — I just turned the record in last week. I’m ready for a single to be out yesterday. I’m ready. It’s a new phase, a new stage of life and I feel like my music reflects that. And I’m going on tour in September so I’m like, I need some new music out there.

Might there be a new single before tour kicks off, then? I hope so. I hope there is a single out in, like, two weeks. I don’t know how long that shit takes and I don’t care. I’m just ready.

Miranda Lambert Sings Scorching New Song 'Locomotive' at CMA Fest

Miranda lambert plots roadside bars and pink guitars 2019 tour.

The rumors are saying an album might come this fall. True? If it takes any longer than that, I’m going to go crazy. I just turned it in, but I was calling the label yesterday being like, “What do you think? When are we doing this? What’s the single?” After you sit on a record for a while you get this energy. You’ve been writing and recording and it has this energy and you just are ready for the world to hear it.

Where did you make the record? I made it in East Nashville. Jay Joyce produced it, at the Neon Cross. It was a change, but I wanted to go in a different direction for this one than I have in the past because I feel like I was in a new place. Jay and I had some new chemistry. Sometimes you have to change it up.

How did that new partnership weave itself into the music? I think that everything in my life in the last year has weaved itself in. Taking a break from the road. This the first time I will be on stage for a full show in a while, which is a good feeling. I have been spending time in New York and I got married and I’m happy, and working with Jay, that all brought a really new phase and sound for Miranda Lambert.

How so? A little New York grit? It does have a little rock vibe to it.

Do you have any covers planned for the record? You’ve picked tracks from amazing and often unsung writers over the years — everyone from Tom T. Hall to Chris Stapleton, when he was an unknown, to Dave Rawlings and Gillian Welch. I didn’t do any covers on the new album, but I have been thinking about covers for all of us to do on tour, that would be cool and not cheesy with all of these women. I’m going to brainstorm a bit.

That all-women Roadside Bars and Pink Guitars Tour has an incredible lineup. Did you have a hand in picking each artist? It wasn’t a conscious decision for it to be all girls. It was just, who are you loving and what’s cool right now? And who is available? There are all these factors when you put a tour together. I started naming artists and I thought, maybe it would be cool to do all girls because Maren is inspiring me, she’s kicking ass. And I love Elle King. Then thinking about new artists, I always try and bring a young female singer- songwriter, so then having Caylee Hammack and Tenille Townes, who are all beasts in their own way. It came together organically.

You seem to really take seriously your role in championing up-and-coming artists, particularly women. Someone has to give you that shot to be in the right place at the right time. I know how that feels. I lived in that lost world for a long time, just trying to get seen by enough people to start making a buzz. If you give someone a platform, that usually will take off. If I can be a small part of that, I will always try to be.

Quick Facts

Early life: talent shows and nashville star, albums and hit songs, platinum and the weight of these wings, interstate gospel and wildcard, marriages and personal life, who is miranda lambert.

Born in 1983 in Longview, Texas, Lambert pursued her music career by releasing a self-titled album and competing on Nashville Star in the early 2000s. After her major label debut, Kerosene , went platinum, the singer-songwriter enjoyed critical and commercial success with follow-up albums like Crazy Ex-Girlfriend , Platinum and The Weight of These Wings . Lambert is also known for her four-year marriage to fellow country superstar Blake Shelton .

FULL NAME: Miranda Leigh Lambert BORN: November 10, 1983 BIRTHPLACE: Longview, Texas SPOUSES: Blake Shelton (2011-2015) and Brendan McLoughlin (2019-present) ASTROLOGICAL SIGN: Scorpio

Miranda Leigh Lambert was born on November 10, 1983, in Longview, Texas. She grew up in Lindale, a small town where her parents ran a private detective agency. Her father was also a guitarist and songwriter, and she grew up listening to such country music greats as Merle Haggard and Guy Clark.

At the age of 10, Lambert entered her first country music talent show. Her budding career got a boost from performing on Johnnie High’s Country Music Revue , a weekly variety show in Arlington, Texas. This program helped launch the careers of several other country music stars, including LeAnn Rimes and Lee Ann Womack. Another talent contest led to her appearances in a commercial and the teen comedy Slap Her... She’s French (2001).

Inspired by such singer-songwriters as Emmylou Harris , Lambert began writing her own songs after learning how to play the guitar from her father. She started her own band called Texas Pride at the age of 17 while still in high school. Focused on a career in music, Lambert graduated early from school to pursue her dream.

Her own family supported her efforts, helping to finance and promote her first recording, an independent self-titled CD, in 2001. Two years later, Lambert got a big break when she passed the auditions for a new country music reality show, Nashville Star. She moved to the country music capital to compete for a recording contract among other prizes.

While she didn’t win, Lambert still landed a major label contract with Sony Music after becoming the show’s second runner-up. “I was hoping not to win,” she said in a statement on her website. “The winner had to go in right after the contest and make a record in a couple of weeks, and I wasn’t ready.”

In 2004, Lambert released the single “Me and Charlie Talking,” an up-tempo tale of puppy love. It was a modest hit and was soon followed by her first major label album, Kerosene (2005). After the album’s release, Lambert went on tours with George Strait and Keith Urban .

Debuting at the top of the country music charts, Kerosene surprised some listeners with its fiery lyrics. “I don’t write about angels, Jesus , happy days, kids. I grew up on drinkin’, cheatin’, love gone bad,” she once explained. Clearly, her songs struck a chord with the music-buying public, as the album went on to sell more than 1 million copies.

Also a hit with critics, Kerosene earned several positive reviews from a variety of sources, from Rolling Stone to The New Yorker . Lambert earned several award nominations from the Academy of Country Music, including for Top New Female Vocalist.

Crazy Ex-Girlfriend

In 2007, Lambert had another hit album on her hands. Crazy Ex-Girlfriend started out at the top of the country album charts and reached as high as No. 6 on the Billboard 200. The title track became a popular hit and anthem of sorts for former girlfriends everywhere, while “Gunpowder & Lead” tells the story of a woman seeking to kill her abusive significant other. On the other side of spectrum, Lambert appears unusually vulnerable on “More Like Her.” She also reflects on her love of rural life in “Famous in a Small Town.”

Along with being a strong seller, the album brought Lambert significant critical attention. Crazy Ex-Girlfriend won an ACM Award for Album of the Year and garnered the artist another ACM win for Top New Female Vocalist. Lambert also received a Grammy Award nomination for her single “Kerosene.”

Revolution , Hell on Heels and Four the Record

For 2009’s Revolution , Lambert seemed to find her romantic side with such songs as “Making Plans” and “Love Song.” She worked on the No. 1 country album with fellow country star Blake Shelton .

Later in 2011, Lambert teamed up with Angaleena Pressley and Ashley Monroe. The trio, known as Pistol Annies, released the hit album Hell on Heels that September. Lambert continued with her success as a solo act as well, releasing Four the Record that same year.

One of the big winners at the 2013 ACM Awards, Lambert took home two awards for her song “Over You” and was named Female Vocalist of the Year. Lambert’s winning streak continued that November, when she was named Female Vocalist of the Year at the CMA Awards.

In 2014, Lambert released Platinum , which featured such hit tracks as “Automatic” and “Somethin’ Bad.” The record also earned several CMA Awards, including Single of the Year and Album of the Year, and won a Grammy in 2015 for Best Country Album.

After releasing the single “Vice” in July 2016, Lambert followed with The Weight of These Wings later in the year. It became her sixth album to achieve platinum certification, as well as her fifth to win Album of the Year honors at the ACM Awards.

Lambert rejoined Pistol Annies for the album Interstate Gospel , which debuted at No. 1 on the country charts in November 2018. The following year she delivered another well-received solo effort, Wildcard , which topped the country charts and featured the singles “It All Comes Out in the Wash” and “Bluebird.”

With dates from her 2020 Wildcard Tour postponed due to the coronavirus outbreak, Lambert was among the stars who performed for the ACM Presents: Our Country special in early April.

Lambert married Blake Shelton in May 2011, and they became one of country music’s most popular power couples. Throughout their marriage, the couple deflected persistent rumors about troubles in their relationship.

In July 2015, Lambert and Shelton announced they were getting divorced after four years of marriage. “This is not the future we envisioned,” Lambert and Shelton said in a statement. “And it is with heavy hearts that we move forward separately. We are real people, with real lives, with real families, friends and colleagues. Therefore, we kindly ask for privacy and compassion concerning this very personal matter.”

After dating R&B singer Anderson East for two years, Lambert married New York City police officer Brendan McLoughlin on January 26, 2019.

Miranda Lambert is bringing her 'best tour in a long, long time' to Des Moines

Portrait of Matthew Leimkuehler

Miranda Lambert’s not afraid of a little work.

Naysayers seeking proof need listen no further than the Texas native’s latest studio effort, “The Weight of These Wings,” a double longplay that — at 24 tracks and 94 minutes — takes listeners through Lambert’s tales of heartbreak, hardly sober nights and emotional headway.

“I took the absolute hardest path I could take by doing a double record, in the state of music,” Lambert, 34, told the Register via phone. “But I didn’t have a choice. I just knew it was right.”

It paid off.

A commercial and critical success,“Weight” led the six-time Country Music Association female vocalist of the year to top-five spots on year-end lists in 2016 published by Rolling Stone, Entertainment Weekly and Variety. And the success continued in 2017: “Weight” earned platinum status last July, her sixth full-length to reach the milestone.

Now, the “Little Red Wagon” star returns to Wells Fargo Arena on March 15 for a night of the “Livin’ Like Hippies” tour, her first show in Iowa’s capital city since 2012. Jon Pardi and Ashley McBryde open the gig.

“It’s actually been the best tour I’ve been on in a long, long time,” Lambert said. “I don’t know what changed or what makes it better than any other one, but I think it’s just my band and crew ... we have this excitement and energy we haven’t had in a minute.”

The latest record is one that’s emotional, brave and transparent; she sings “Happiness ain’t prison but there's freedom in a broken heart” on “Runnin’ Just In Case,” the opening number — a sentiment that resonates from start to finish, creating intimacy with Lambert and her listeners.

“The day it came out, I was going, ‘What have we done?’” she laughed. “But I was still confident. It took longer than it has for my other records for people to get in and dive in, but they did … I feel humbled by it because my story their story and their story’s my story and we can share that on a human level.”

The new album comes sprinkled in the “”Livin’ Like Hippies” setlist (after all, she points out, the name of the tour comes from the “Weight” track “Highway Vagabonds”), but there’s still plenty of room, Lambert said, to dig into staple songs from the last decade-plus. You probably won't leave without hearing "Kerosene" or "The House That Built Me."

Fans could hear a cover or two, as well — including a rocky mountain jam made famous by another songwriter appearing at Wells Fargo Arena in March.

“I love throwin’ in a cover that we love,” she said. “That keeps it fun for us, because we play my songs every night.”

Each of the first opening slots on Lambert’s tour come hand-picked by the Grammy-winning songwriter; on this run so far, she’s tapped Turnpike Troubadours, Brent Cobb and Lucie Silvas.

Des Moines sees Arkansas-raised troubadour Ashley McBryde in that spot.

“She’s just a country singer and I love that,” Lambert explained. “She’s got tattoos, and she drinks beer and sings the truth. We’re sisters in that way.”

She added: “And she’s a female in this business. We have to really stick together and lift each other up.”

As with the entertainment industry abroad, inclusivity proves a pivotal country music topic in 2018. A quick look at Billboard’s Country Airplay 2017 year-end chart shows that four out of last year’s top 50 songs were released by solo women.

What could change the imbalance? “Persistence. As long as women keep delivering, they’re not going to be able to ignore that forever. If it’s great music, you cannot ignore it forever.”

Great music — that’s just a little of what Iowans can expect when Lambert returns this month.

“You can find kindred spirits everywhere in this country,” she said. “(This tour’s) all of us kindred spirits getting in one room together to celebrate music and that’s so special to me.”

Miranda Lambert Loses Band Member: ‘Heavy Heart Post’

' src=

Miranda Lambert lost a guitar player and friend she has had for over twenty years and she posted the news to Instagram along with several pictures of them together.

Miranda wrote in the lengthy post, “Heavy heart post💔. Last night I lost one of my most treasured friends, bandmates, and road family members, Scotty Wray. We met in 2001 in Greenville Texas. I was 17. That was the beginning of our journey together. We went through so much life together on and off the stage. We wrote songs, played gig after gig, fought, cried, laughed, and even got matching arrow tattoos after we made it out of some rough patches together .”

She continued, “He was one of the most talented guitar players I’ve ever known and I’m so thankful I got to witness his genius seasoned laid-back bluesman style on stages all over the world for over 20 years. He was the one I could count on. Always. No matter what. If he was there on my right side I felt like I could take on the world. Scotty Wray was family to me and I’ll never sing a note without him because I know he is there with me. He always has been. I love you, my sweet Bud Wray. Heaven is lucky cause that honky tonk band up there just gained another guitar pickin angel. Rest easy my love. #EasyLivinEasyLovinYou #nowheretogobutup.”

Several fellow artists responded to her post including Dierks Bentley, who wrote, “So sorry Miranda. Sad but beautiful post. He was one of a kind. Thankful for the time we spent together on the road and in passing at award shows etc. RIP SW.”

Karen Fairchild responded, “The best. Rest in easy Scotty. 💔.” And Lady A’s Hillary Scott said, “💔 thinking of you and will always smile when I think of him.”

37 Of Miranda Lambert’s Finest Songs, Ranked

37. “settling down” from ‘wildcard’ (2019).

We heard a lot about the end of Miranda’s previous relationship on 2016’s ‘The Weight Of These Wings’ and on the Pistol Annies’ 2018 ‘Interstate Gospel.’ But she allegedly met Brendan McLoughlin while promoting ‘Interstate Gospel,’ and on “Settling Down,” it was lovely to hear her move on to a new phase. When she asked “Am I settlin' up or settlin' down?” the answer seemed to be the latter. She seems happy, and we’re happy for her.

36. “Gravity Is A Bitch” from ‘Platinum’ (2014)

Miranda was only in her early 30s when she put this song out, but she looked towards getting old with her typical sense of humor: “Got bags under your eyes, bigger hips and bigger thighs/You got places that you can't even itch/You can nip it, tuck it, squeeze it/But you're never gonna beat it/'Cause gravity's a bitch.” Dolly Parton might take issue with these points, but most of us accept it, and this song helps us to laugh at the aging process.

35. Don Henley/Miranda Lambert/Mick Jagger – “Bramble Rose” from ‘Cass Country’ (2015)

The lead song from Henley’s first solo album in 15 years saw him creating a star-studded trio with Miranda and Mick Jagger. Our girl more than held her own alongside two Rock and Roll Hall of Famers, both of whom were legends by the time Miranda was born. A theme that you’ll see on this list is Miranda covering lesser-known material to great effect: this one is a cover of a 2002 song by Americana singer/songwriter, Tift Merritt.

34. “Bathroom Sink” from ‘Platinum’ (2014)

On ‘Platinum,’ Miranda recorded a lot of songs by other writers, collaborated with other writers and did some covers. “Bathroom Sink” was the one song that she wrote by herself, and it’s so intimate, it’s understandable that she’d do this one alone. The lyrics sting and – like a lot of Miranda’s lyrics – are maybe a bit too relatable: “It's amazing the amount of rejection that I see in my reflection and I can't get out of the way/I'm lookin' forward to the girl I wanna be/But regret has a way of starin' me right in the face/So I try not to waste too much time at the bathroom sink.”

33. Willie Nelson/Miranda Lambert – “She Was No Good For Me” from ‘To All The Girls…’ (2013)

Willie Nelson has recorded tons of duets, but sharing the mic with him is a delicate balancing act: you want to compliment him without over-singing, and Miranda nails it. "She Was No Good For Me” is a Waylon Jennings cover. In Waylon’s version, he’s telling you the story of a woman he shouldn’t have ended up with. Willie and Miranda’s is somehow more intimate: you feel like you’re eavesdropping on a conversation between two friends, as Willie is telling Miranda about the woman in question, and Miranda is trying to give him advice and not be too judgmental.

33. “That’s The Way The World Goes ‘Round” from ‘Revolution’ (2009)

One of Miranda’s most underrated songs. She co-wrote it with Jessi Alexander and fellow Pistol Annie Ashley Monroe. Find yourself someone who will write a song like this for you. “Baby we just rolled in/It's cold here in Michigan/Got a sold-out show tonight/Pretty soon we'll hit the stage/I'll feel the lights hit my face/We'll see some magic in the room.” That sounds great, right? Here’s the kicker: “Ain't no moment like when I'm holding onto you.” Whew! A fun note about the song: Miranda sings “I’ve seen the Rolling Stones/Got real high on rock and roll.” The following year, she collaborated with none other than Mick Jagger -- on a Don Henley song, no less (see song #34 on this list)! Songs like this show why Miranda is a peer to those legends.

31. Miranda Lambert/Maren Morris – “Way Too Pretty For Prison” from ‘Wildcard’ (2019)

It almost feels like a sequel to “Somethin’ Bad.” Here, Miranda’s character has a new partner, and she’s a bit more careful. She tells her pal, “He cheated, he's a villian And you know I'd help you kill him.” But, she notes, “I don't want to talk about the way those jumpsuits wash us out/We're way too pretty for prison!”

30. “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend” from ‘Crazy Ex-Girlfriend’ (2007)

In which Miranda puts every woman in the world on notice: “It took me 5 bars, some 30 license plates/I saw her mustang/And my eyes filled up with rage/I brought my pistol but I ain't some kinda fool/So I walked right in bare-handed/She was on his arm while he was playing pool.” We *think* she’s mellowed since this song came out back in 2007. In Miranda’s world, revenge is a dish best served hot.

29. John Fogerty/Miranda Lambert – “Wrote A Song For Everyone” from ‘Wrote A Song For Everyone’ (2013)

When a legend re-records a classic with a younger artist, you have to ask: Why? How can you top the original? John Fogerty didn’t quite top the original Creedence Clearwater Revival version of “Wrote A Song For Everyone.” But this version, recorded with Miranda more than four decades after the original, had a bit more weight. “Wrote a song for everyone...when I couldn't even talk to you,” is surely a sentiment that a lot of artists relate to: the ability to talk to millions, but not connect with individuals. Miranda’s voice blended perfectly with Fogerty’s. Fun fact: when she was recording her part, after she finished a verse, she whispered “face-melting guitar solo.” When Fogerty heard that, he realized that he actually wanted a guitar solo that would blow minds, so he called his friend, Rage Against The Machine guitarist Tom Morello, to play on the track as well.

28. Miranda Lambert/Little Big Town – “Smokin’ and Drinkin’” from ‘Platinum’ (2014)

An amazing collaboration with Little Big Town, the song was part of their collaborative set when Miranda and LBT toured together in 2018. Here’s hoping they put out a live album from that tour!

27. Pistol Annies – “Got My Name Changed Back” from ‘Interstate Gospel’ (2018)

Like many Pistol Annies songs, this was co-written by Miranda with Angaleena Presley and Ashley Monroe. Miranda handles the lead vocals with her bandmates backing her up. That might be a metaphor for how things played out after Miranda’s divorce from Blake Shelton – she didn’t take his name in the first place, and most of the song is probably fiction, but it must have been cathartic in the studio when they were recording this jam.

26. Green Day/Miranda Lambert – “Ordinary World” from ‘Greatest Hits: God’s Favorite Band’ (2017)

“Ordinary World” is a song that Green Day originally did on their 2016 ‘Revolution Radio’ album, but this version, featuring Miranda on harmony vocals, gives the song an immediate upgrade. She’s 100% country, but it’s also easy to understand why so many rock acts want to work with her. If she was an actress, she’d be great as a movie star, or in an ensemble cast.

24. “Fastest Girl In Town” from ‘Four The Record’ (2011)

Co-written by Miranda and fellow Pistol Annie Angaleena Presley, it’s another wild anthem, like “Kerosene” and “Gunpowder and Lead.” In this song, Miranda explains to her dude that if they run into trouble with the police, she’s leaving him in the dust: “If he pulls us over/I'll turn on the charm/You'll be in the slammer/And I'll be on his arm.” We’re guessing that Miranda and Brendan McLoughlin get a good laugh about this song.

23. “My Father’s Gun” from ‘Restoration: The Songs Of Elton John and Bernie Taupin’ (2018)

It’s pretty amazing that a British guy – Bernie Taupin, who writes most of Elton’s lyrics - - penned this song. “From this day on I own my father's gun/We dug his shallow grave beneath the sun/I laid his broken body down below the Southern land/It wouldn't do to bury him where any Yankee stands.” Bernie and Elton were big fans of the Band (and their classic “The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down”) and Elton’s version from his 1970 album ‘Tumbleweed Connection,’ is great. But now that we’ve heard Miranda’s, we think that her version is the definitive one (with all due respect to Sir Elton).

22. “Look At Miss Ohio” from ‘Four the Record’ (2011)

This one is a cover of a song by Americana singer/songwriter Gillian Welch. “She’s runnin’ around with her ragtop down,” Miranda sings, and if you’re not the type to read the songwriting credits, you’d be excused for thinking Miranda wrote it. Especially with this kicker: “She says ‘I wanna do right... but not right now.’”

21. Pistol Annies – “Hell On Heels” from ‘Pistol Annies’ (2011)

The song that introduced the world to the Pistol Annies: Miranda, Ashley Monroe and Angaleena Presley co-wrote this song and split the lead vocals, each telling the story of an unfortunate guy that they left in their wake. Miranda growled, “I got a pink guitar, a Lincoln Town Car/From ol' what's his name I met at a bar/Got a high-rise flat in Hollywood/From a married man who wasn't up to no good.” Of course, it was a made up story. We think.

20. Keith Urban/Miranda Lambert – “We Were Us” from ‘Fuse’ (2013)

This #1 song blended the two very distinctive singers perfectly. Not that Miranda needs any more collaborators, but we’d love to hear her and Keith reunite for another duet.

19. Jack Ingram/Miranda Lambert/Jon Randall – “Geraldine” from ‘The Marfa Tapes’ (2021)

Technology has taken country music -- and all music –- pretty far. It’s given us more dancefloor jams and allowed artists to collaborate when they’re in different states or even different countries. It helps fix mistakes in the studio that would have derailed recordings in decades past. Technology is great! But the best artists can make a classic with just mics and acoustic guitars and that’s what Miranda did with Jack Ingram and Jon Randall on ‘The Marfa Tapes.’ They’re the guys who she wrote “Tin Man” and “Tequila Does” with. The album’s title comes from the fact that it was recorded in Marfa, Texas in late 2020 with just two microphones and two acoustic guitars. The trio wasn't going for perfection: in fact, you can hear the other guys laughing when Miranda throws in a Buddy Holly-esque stutter about 2:10 into the song when she sings, “Geraldine! G-G-G-Geraldine!” They’re having a blast and so are we.

18. Pistol Annies – “Hush Hush” from ‘Annie Up’ (2013)

There’s something really sweet – and really fun – about Miranda taking occasional breaks from her massively successful solo career to play in a band with her pals, singer/songwriters Ashley Monroe and Angaleena Presley. This song, which the trio co-wrote and split lead vocals on, is a blast. And who hasn’t been at the dinner table “while the sugar-coated pretty little secret was eating everybody alive?” Whether you’re a country superstar or a regular person, we all love some hot goss!

17. “Holding On To You” from ‘Platinum’ (2014)

16. “famous in a small town” from ‘crazy ex-girlfriend’ (2007).

This little gem was Miranda’s second Top 20 hit on the U.S. Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. If you’re from a small town, you can relate: not every kid with big dreams will become a superstar like Miranda. But, as Miranda sings, “Well, baby who needs their faces in a magazine? Me and you, we've been stars in this town since we were seventeen!” The song was nominated for the Grammy Award for Best Female Country Vocal Performance in 2008.

15. “Vice” from ‘The Weight Of These Wings’ (2016)

We all have a “Vice” but few of us can express it words (and music) the way that Miranda can. Again, she’s writing about something that many of us can relate to, even if we wish we didn’t. That’s why when she sings, “Another vice, another call, another bed I shouldn't crawl out of/At 7 AM with shoes in my hand... Said I wouldn't do it, but I did it again,” it stings.

14. “All Kinds of Kinds” from ‘Four The Record’ (2013)

An amazing song of inclusion... and country music needs more of those. The lyrics refer to different characters: a dog-faced boy, a cross-dressing congressman, and a can’t-help-herself pharmacist. Miranda didn’t write the song, but it seemed like writers Phillip Coleman and Don Henry had Miranda in mind. At any rate, she sings the last verses as if it’s biographical. “When I play this old guitar from children's shows to smoky bars/I take a break and think about the past/When I stood up in geometry and everybody stared at me and I tossed my test into the trash!”

13. “Tin Man” from ‘The Weight Of These Wings’ (2016)

This one is just epic. Following Miranda's performance of the song at the 52nd Academy of Country Music Awards on April 2, 2017, the song climbed back up the chart and even charted at 75 on the Billboard top 100. It won Song of the Year at the ACMs in 2018. The song, co-written by Miranda with Jack Ingram and Jon Randall (they would later record ‘The Marfa Sessions’ album together) sees the narrator envying the Tin Man from ‘The Wizard Of Oz’ for not having a heart. The song, like much of ‘The Weight Of These Wings,’ came in the wake of Miranda’s split with Blake Shelton.

12. “Gunpowder & Lead” from ‘Crazy Ex-Girlfriend’ (2007)

A classic murder ballad, Miranda’s first real big hit at country radio was about a woman planning on killing her abusive husband; it was likely influenced by the Dixie Chicks’ “Goodbye Earl” (which Miranda and Little Big Town would later cover on their joint summer tour in 2018). "Gunpowder & Lead" was certified Platinum by the RIAA on December 3, 2010. The song was even made available as downloadable content for the game Rock Band on December 16, 2008.

11. “Kerosene” from ‘Kerosene’ (2005)

The song that made people first take notice of Lambert, it was the title track and first song on her major label debut, and it was a great intro to her. The song is about a jilted lover, who is about to take her revenge... with the help of some kerosene. Lambert had to split songwriting credit with Americana artist Steve Earle, as this sounded a bit too similar to his song, “I Feel Alright.” It was her first to be certified Gold by the RIAA on March 6, 2006. It also gave Miranda her first Grammy nomination for Best Female Country Vocal Performance.

10. “Bluebird” from ‘Wildcard’ (2019)

Nine years after her first #1 (“The House That Built Me”) "Bluebird" topped the Country Airplay chart. It also won the CMA Award for Video of the Year and was nominated for Single and Song of the Year at the 54th Annual Country Music Association Awards. It was also nominated for Best Country Solo Performance and Best Country Song at the 63rd Annual Grammy Awards. Miranda’s reign is still going strong.

9. “Only Prettier” from ‘Revolution’ (2009)

This funny and fun song’s accompanying music video features Lambert along with fellow country artists Kellie Pickler, Laura Bell Bundy, and Hillary Scott of Lady Antebellum, in dual roles as both "good girls" and "bad girls" at a 1950s high school sock hop.

8. “Dead Flowers” from ‘Revolution’ (2009)

Miranda got the inspiration to write the song from a personal experience. "I had some flowers that I got for Valentine’s Day in a vase on the kitchen table. I was going on the road, so I had to throw them in the yard. They were just laying there, and it was a really sad image. The song came to me right away and was one of those ones that kinda wrote itself.”

7. “White Liar” from ‘Revolution’ (2009)

This was Lambert's second Top 10 hit and reached a peak of number 2 on the U.S. Billboard Hot Country Songs chart for the week of February 6, 2010. Miranda donated the original, handwritten copy of the lyrics of "White Liar" to the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum for public display.

6. Miranda Lambert/Elle King – “Drunk (And I Don’t Wanna Go Home)” (single release, 2021)

It’s a fun song and an even more fun video with pop star Elle King. The two performed the song live for the first time when they opened the 56th Academy of Country Music Awards on April 18, 2021.

5. Miranda Lambert/Carrie Underwood – “Somethin’ Bad” from’Platinum’ (2014)

These two are epic together. The song is the first number one by teamed-up solo women in more than two decades on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. Which is pretty crazy: here’s hoping Miranda and Carrie reunite and top the charts again!

4. “If I Was a Cowboy” (single only release, 2021)

It sounds like a classic country song and Miranda’s vocals are spot on. It makes me want to be a cowboy.

3. “Mama’s Broken Heart” from ‘Four The Record’ (2013)

A song co-written by Kacey Musgraves before she was famous, along with Brandy Clark and Shane McAnally. Musgraves was playing the Texas clubs at the same time Miranda and rumors have circulated that they were rivals at one point. Whatever the case may be, Miranda was the perfect singer for this song.

2. “Little Red Wagon” from ‘Platinum’ (2014)

A great little cover song. Miranda said that she first heard of the song when rock singer/songwriter John Eddie, with whom she had been touring at the time, recommended that she listen to an Audra Mae album. Upon hearing the song, Lambert wanted to record it and asked Mae for permission to do so. It’s one of Miranda’s most rocking songs.

1. “The House That Built Me” from ‘Revolution’ (2009)

I get emotional every time I hear this song. Miranda first performed the song during the 2010 Academy of Country Music Awards on April 18, 2010 and received a standing ovation. At the 53rd Annual Grammy Awards on February 13, 2011, she won the Grammy for Best Female Country Vocal Performance. It also won Song of the Year at the 46th ACMs and the 44th CMAs. Miranda is a great songwriter, but she’s smart enough to know when to sing something that she didn’t write: this song was written by Tom Douglas and Allen Shamblin, but it’s really Miranda’s song. It’s also her first number one hit.

Miranda Lambert Feels Inspired To Mentor Younger Artists Since She Doesn't Have Her Own Children

Miranda Lambert has a tremendous musical gift, abundant success, tons of fans, and more material resources at her disposal than most of us can even imagine. She is deservedly one of country music's brightest lights. So it's heartening to hear that Lambert is giving back by mentoring emerging artists largely because she has no kids of her own.

Hooray for you, Miranda, and for the talented young people who benefit from your big-hearted professional guidance! You inspire them. Perhaps the drive and ambition of these aspiring performers inspires you too. Their careers will take off because yours already has.

Let's learn more about Miranda Lambert 's mentoring!

Miranda Lambert Is A Stepmom But Has No Biological Kids

Mentoring matters to her.

Lambert described her motivation for being a mentor when she was a guest on Bunnie Xo's podcast, Dumb Blonde via tasteofcountry.com .

She said, "Since I don't have children of my own, I want to use that part of what I've learned for younger generations," Especially of artists, because nobody tells you how this goes."

Lambert added, "Nobody sits there and gives you a handbook of, like, 'Well, when you make it to this level , this is what's gonna happen."

She Reaches Out To Female Artists Who Are Starting Out

Lambert is known for her professional generosity.

There seems to be absolutely no competitive envy or territorial instinct in Miranda Lambert, In fact, she has kindly lent a hand to women who are beginning their careers in music. Per tasteofcountry.com , "She typically includes up-and-coming women on her tour lineups, and her 2019 Roadside Bars & Pink Guitars Tour boasted an all-female bill featuring Caylee Hammack, Tenille Townes, Elle King, Maren Morris and Ashley McBryde."

On top of that, Lambert inaugurated Big Loud Texas, "a label imprint dedicated to rising Texas artists — in 2023."

All of this is very impressive. It shows her character and altruism. Lambert gets something out of what she does for young singers as well. She said, "Being around that new fire and young people that are so hungry and so inspired is like, 'I want some of that,' you know? And I wanna give them some of the wisdom and some of the reminders [to] enjoy the ride."

Miranda Lambert's Husband Brendan McLoughlin Got 'Misty-Eyed' When He Found Out She Recorded His Song 'Dammit Randy'

McLoughlin is credited as a co-writer on the track, which is featured on Lambert's upcoming album 'Postcards from Texas'

  • Miranda Lambert's new album features a songwriting credit from her husband, Brendan McLoughlin
  • The song, titled "Dammit Randy," came from a jam session they had during the COVID lockdowns
  • When McLoughlin found out his wife cut the song, he got "misty-eyed"

Miranda Lambert ’s upcoming album features a songwriting credit from a very special someone: her husband Brendan McLoughlin !

Lambert is set to release her latest record, Postcards from Texas , on Sept. 13. But she’s already released a handful of tracks off the album, including “Dammit Randy,” on which McLoughlin is credited as a co-writer.

In a new interview on Bunnie Xo ’s podcast Dumb Blonde , Lambert, 40, opened up about including McLoughlin, 32, in her creative process, and explained that they first started jamming together during COVID lockdowns.

“Everyone was at home, bored, and I’m a songwriter so I’m like, ‘Let’s write songs!’ And so he was like, ‘I don’t know how to write songs,’” she recalled. “And I was like, ‘Yeah you can, you can do it.’ So I get the guitar out, we start writing, and he’s actually really good. Like he has some really good lines. I mean, being a New York police officer, he’s lived enough life to like, have some good lines in here.”

The "If I Was a Cowboy" singer said she and McLoughlin, who tied the knot in January 2019, worked on about four or five “little tunes” together — which was enough to give McLoughlin a confidence boost. Before long, he was boasting to their friend Jesse Frasure about how writing was “easy” — and so Frasure dragged him into a four-and-a-half-hour-long writing session.

The three-time Grammy winner said McLoughlin quickly realized that songwriting was no picnic. But as Lambert began work on Postcards from Texas , and her co-producer Jon Randall realized that perhaps they could put McLoughlin to work one more time.

“We kind of started talking about leaving Sony and signing with a new record label, and really just talking about having a situation that doesn’t serve you anymore, and moving on from that and what a fire it lights under you,” Lambert said of her chat with Randall. “Jon Randall’s my buddy, but his name’s actually Randy, so we always say, ‘Dammit Randy’ to him. And so we started writing this song and Brendan kept popping in while he was watching football. I was like, ‘Are we doing this? In or out? You’re going to have to turn the game off. Pick a side.’”

McLoughlin, a retired New York City police officer, opted in, and before long, he had a seat at the table beside Randall and his wife. What came from the session was “Dammit Randy,” a song off the new album that Lambert released in late July, along with “Alimony” and “Wranglers.”

“He wrote some of the greatest lines in the song,” she said. “It was really special actually, because the situation I wrote the song about, Brendan is my husband, so he’s had to hear me bitch about it for so long, that he kind of knew the story better than I did, you know? So he had the same emotion in it that I did and so I’m real proud of him.”

When it came to including “Dammit Randy” on the album, Lambert had a surprise in store for McLoughlin.

“I was like, ‘I want to play you something.’ And so the whole band knew he’d written it, so we’re all just staring at him, and we’re like, ‘Push play,’” she recalled. “He won’t say it, but he got a little misty-eyed. He was like, ‘You cut my song?’ It was awesome. And it’s one of my favorites on the record.”

Lambert and McLoughlin tied the knot just three months after they met on the set of Good Morning America , where she was performing and he was working security.

In May, she told PEOPLE that the couple’s one major rule was all about “communication.”

“We just talk it out, whatever it is, we talk about everything,” Lambert said. “And I think communication is super important, especially because women, we expect men to know what we're thinking and they don’t. We got to tell them.”

Miranda Lambert and Brendan McLoughlin began relationship as ‘pen pals,’ singer reveals

You could say Miranda Lambert has a tendency to be “old school.”

The three-time Grammy winning country music singer, songwriter and guitarist, who rose to fame as a finalist on the 2003 season of USA Network’s “Nashville Star,” loves going back to basics.

Lambert, 40, best known for albums like Kerosene, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend and Platinum, has been known to mail post cards to spread the word about her new albums. Now it seems that writing old fashioned letters played a role in her love life.

According to khak.com , Lambert shared on the “Dumb Blonde” podcast that she met husband Brendan McLoughlin, 32, a former NYPD cop from Staten Island who was assigned to the set of “Good Morning America” when she and her band the Pistol Annies were there to promote their Interstate Gospel album.

She also shared that her band mate Angaleena Presley spotted McLoughlin first, pointing out the “hot cop” to Lambert and mentioning that her team offered McLoughlin one ticket to her show.

“No plus one. He came by himself,” she said. “We met up after, hung out and talked, and there wasn’t an agenda, really ... he was super cool and we just talked and kept in touch.”

Lambert suggested to McLoughlin that they stay connected the old-fashioned way. “We wrote each other literal letters, like, old-school,” she said. “I was like, ‘Do you wanna be pen pals?’ He was like, ‘Letters with a pen?’ ... He’s eight years younger, so that was really mind-blowing to him.”

What’s more, McLoughlin, who married the country superstar five years ago, is living a fun and fabulous life with the celebrity and being surrounded by plenty of star power.

FYI: The two were only together for a few months when they got married in January 2019 in a private ceremony — and they announced their nuptials to the public on Valentine’s Day of that same year.

Khak.com added that not only is there a mild age gap between the two, but they also hail from very different parts of the country: McLoughlin from Staten Island, and Lambert from small-town Texas.

But the singer said that as they got to know each other, they realized they had quite a few similarities.

“He’s from a law enforcement and first responder family,” she said. “Our attitudes sort of, like, they aligned. And he’s someone in my life that’s not a ‘yes’ person.”

As one of country music’s biggest stars that trait is a big deal to Lambert. “I don’t believe in surrounding yourself with ‘yes’ people at all and I don’t do that. I don’t think it’s healthy, mentally,” she said.

“Brendan’s just very honest, and he’s a harsh New Yorker, and I like that because he just tells it like it is,” Lambert added. “He doesn’t sugarcoat. He calls me on my s---.”

The “Dumb Blonde” podcast episode featuring Lambert, who will open up about her journey to stardom, will be available in full on Monday, Aug. 19.

Miranda Lambert may have expected the coverage of her surprise marriage to 27-year-old New York City police Officer Brendan McLoughlin to be more universally celebrated.

Instead, fans are wondering about a report that McLoughlin cheated on his former fiancee and got another woman pregnant, as well as questions about whether he was the young male dining companion at the center of the recent  steakhouse fight  in Nashville, Tenn., during which Lambert dumped salad on a woman’s lap.

There appears to be still more challenges to the country star’s newlywed bliss. Lambert, 35, and McLoughlin reportedly will live apart and have to make due with a commuter marriage, while he’s being reassigned duties in the NYPD because of all the media scrutiny.

Let’s back up.

On Saturday, Lambert took to Instagram to announce, “in honor of Valentine’s Day,” that she got “hitched” to McLoughlin.”I met the love of my life,” she wrote. “My heart is full. Thank you Brendan Mcloughlin for loving me for…. me.”

View this post on Instagram A post shared by Miranda Lambert (@mirandalambert)

TMZ reported that McLoughlin was an NYPD officer assigned to the Midtown South precinct in Manhattan, where he walks foot patrol in Times Square. Us Weekly also said that the handsome 5-foot-11 McLoughlin once was an aspiring model.

Another TMZ report said his Times Square duties may have brought him into Lambert’s orbit and led to their whirlwind romance. Lambert and McLoughlin reportedly met when she came to New York to appear on “Good Morning America” on Nov. 2. The ABC show’s studios are near Times Square.

TMZ said that the idea that the two-time Grammy winner was dating a police officer and was serious enough about him to get married came “out of nowhere.”

The gossip site furthermore questioned whether McLoughlin was with Lambert and her mother Feb. 10 when the singer got into a heated argument with other diners at the Stoney River Steakhouse and Grill in Nashville. During the argument, Lambert reportedly walked over to the other diners’ table and dumped salad on the lap of a woman.

“It’s possible, but hard to tell, that the male friend is her new husband, Brendan,” TMZ said, publishing photos from the incident.

It’s not clear what sparked the brouhaha, but TMZ said the altercation had something to do with Lambert’s male friend (McLoughlin?) being insulted by a joke made by an older male diner in the men’s restroom. The beef continued into the dining room and included Lambert “mouthing off” at the male diner and dumping the salad.

Police were called, but Lambert and her party were gone by the time officers arrived.

But the salad fight may not be the only possible controversy surrounding Lambert and her new husband.

Us Weekly reported that McLoughlin cheated on his ex-fiancee, Jackie Bruno, and got another woman pregnant. That other woman, Kaihla Rettinger, gave birth to McLoughlin’s baby in November — about the same time he apparently met Lambert and began his romance with her.

The cheating claim comes from Jackie Bruno’s mother, Carol, who told Us Weekly that her daughter was “blindsided” by his infidelity.

“She was engaged to Brendan and he cheated on her and got another girl pregnant,” Carol Bruno told Us Weekly. “It’s all true.”

“She was thrown for a loop, she had no clue,” Carol Bruno said about her daughter. She told Us Weekly that Rettinger contacted her daughter, a professional soccer player, to tell her about her pregnancy.

“(Brendan) tried to deny it and then begged her to stay with him,” Carol Bruno added to Us Weekly.

The marriage to McLoughlin is Lambert’s second; she divorced Blake Shelton in 2015.

Lambert previously dated musician R&B musician Anderson East for two years and then Evan Felker of the net-folk group the Turnpike Troubadours. But in August, Lambert confirmed her breakup with Felker to The Tennessean, saying she was “happily single,” according to Us Weekly.

In addition to McLoughlin’s previous relationship drama, he and his new wife may face other challenges in their first year of marriage. TMZ reported that the couple won’t share a home base but will be splitting their time between Nashville, where Lambert has a 400-acre estate, and New York City, were McLoughlin will continue his police work for at least a year.

Speaking of his job, TMZ added that McLoughlin is being reassigned from his foot patrol duties in Times Square. Sources told TMZ that McLoughlin has been temporarily reassigned to a more covert position — driving top police officials around — because the media, including reporters and photographers in news trucks, were hounding him while on duty.

But McLoughlin’s work may not be the only thing keeping him in New York City for the time being, TMZ added. He also has the new baby with Rettinger, and it remains to be seen if and how that child will be integrated into his new life with his country star wife.
