News: Broods Add Second Sydney Show To ‘The Evergreen Tour’
(AUS) Earlier this month – off the back of countless sold out national and international tour dates – the über-talented siblings Caleb and Georgia Nott announced they would bring their ARIA top 5 debut album ‘Evergreen’ to Australia for a set of national headline shows. Having almost completely sold out their first Sydney show, fans will have another chance to see Broods perform at The Metro with the addition of a second date.
Tickets for the second Sydney show will go on sale at 10am Wednesday September 24. Tickets to all other shows are available now .
Since the release of their breakthrough single ‘Bridges’ last year – which received more than 700,000 YouTube views, 4.2 million Spotify streams and 1.1 million SoundCloud plays – the hotly-tipped Broods have been experiencing whirlwind success. They teamed up with producer Joel Little (Lorde’s GRAMMY winning ‘Pure Heroine’ producer) to release their stunning self-titled debut EP in January 2014. Debut album ‘Evergreen’, also produced by Little, was released last month and has entered the ARIA charts at number 5.
Joining Broods on their national headline tour will be special guests Mansionair, the indie-electric, early-twenty-something trio from Sydney. Their clever instrumentation of acoustic melody against atmospheric electronica has seen their first single ‘Hold Me Down’ amass more than 5.5 million YouTube views and 1 million SoundCloud plays since it surfaced in February of this year.

Scenic Group rebrands Evergreen Tours as Emerald Tours
Scenic Group has announced that Evergreen Tours will be changing its name to Emerald Tours in April 2024, to be closely aligned with the global brand Emerald Cruises.
Evergreen Tours’ 40-year history of delivering exceptional land journeys, value and a unique blend of inclusions, quality, excellence and innovation, will continue for its Australian guests.
Simplifying brand messaging and leveraging the global reach of the Emerald Cruises brand, will enable travel advisors in all the other Scenic Group markets, such as New Zealand, the United Kingdom, Canada and the United States to access this premium land touring collection, for their clients.
“The rebrand of Evergreen Tours to Emerald Tours offers Australian guests the same excellence and exceptional value land journeys, while opening this premium product to other markets,” director (sales, marketing and product), Emerald Cruises & Evergreen Tours, Angus Crichton said.
“For example, Evergreen’s 11-Day Eastern Europe land journey has been one of our best-selling tours for many years, connecting with the Emerald Cruises 15-Day Splendours of Europe river cruise. So the change of name to Emerald Tours provides a clear brand alignment and is a very natural fit.”
Evergreen Tours (soon to be Emerald Tours) Canada & Alaska 2025 program with early access pricing is available now, offering a range of unforgettable journeys to discover the Rockies with Alaskan Inside Passage cruising, tour spectacular Alaska via road and rail, and explore the picturesque East Coast with New England cruising.
The full release of the Canada & Alaska 2025 program launches on 26 March, 2024.
The new Emerald Tours product will be live from 23 April, 2024.

But despite the name change, it will be business as usual for the brand, with Scenic saying Emerald will continue Evergreen Tours’ 40-year history of “delivering exceptional land journeys, value and a unique blend of inclusions, quality, excellence and innovation” for its Australian guests.
With the name change and streamlined branding, travel advisors in other Scenic Group markets including New Zealand, the United Kingdom, Canada and the United States will have access to Emerald Tours’ premium land-touring collection for their clients.
“The rebrand of Evergreen Tours to Emerald Tours offers Australian guests the same excellence and exceptional value land journeys, while opening this premium product to other markets,” Emerald Cruises & Evergreen Tours Director of Sales, Marketing & Product Angus Crichton said.
“For example, Evergreen’s 11-Day Eastern Europe land journey has been one of our best-selling tours for many years, connecting with the Emerald Cruises 15-Day Splendours of Europe river cruise. So thechange of name to Emerald Tours provides a clear brand alignment and is a very natural fit.”
The Evergreen (Emerald) Tours Canada & Alaska 2025 program is now open for early bookings, with trips to explore the Rockies, cruise the Alaskan Inside Passage, tour Alaska by road and rail, and discover the East Coast with New England cruising.
The complete Canada & Alaska 2025 program will be officially released on 26 March 2024.
The new Emerald Tours product will be live on www.emeraldcruises.com.au from 23 April 2024.
Last year, Scenic Group marked two momentous occasions as the just-launched Discovery Yacht, Scenic Eclipse II, sailed with luxury yacht Emerald Azzurra in Monte Carlo while sister-ship Emerald Sakara had her float-out in Vietnam.
Emerald Cruises announced Kelly Craighead, President and CEO of Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) as the godmother of Emerald Sakara.

Sydney sweeney sizzles in cheeky wetsuit during summer vacation: ‘i think they call this a thirst trap’.
Business up top, party in the back.
Sydney Sweeney shared new photos from a lakeside vacation on Instagram Friday, modeling a sleek black-and-white Jonesea wetsuit ($430) with a cheeky cut in the saucy snaps.
“i think they call this a thirst trap,” the “Euphoria” star, 26, captioned her carousel of photos.
The “Anyone But You” actress wore her blond hair down in beachy waves as she posed on a boat with members of her glam squad, including makeup artist Melissa Hernandez and hairstylist Glen “Coco” Oropeza.
Sweeney finished her laid-back look with black sunglasses and white water shoes.
Hernandez, meanwhile, wore the same floral patchwork Cynthia Rowley wetsuit Sweeney sported in other snaps from the group’s trip.

Fans went wild for the cheeky post, like one who wrote, “Sometimes all you can do is say hummina hummina hummina,” and another who quipped, “just when I thought life couldn’t get any better.”
The actress has been spending plenty of time on the water since purchasing a $13.5 million oceanfront mansion near Key West, Fla., in June.
She’s been spotted swimming in her pool and riding a banana boat at the luxe property, which features an aquarium and a 520-bottle wine room.
Keep soaking up summer, Syd.

Australian fans of The Weeknd are thrilled as the superstar has announced new dates for his After Hours Til Dawn Tour. Abel Tesfaye, better known as The Weeknd, had to cancel his sold-out Australian shows in April, leaving fans disappointed. However, after months of anticipation, he’s confirmed his return to Australia for the first time since 2017.
In a statement, The Weeknd expressed his commitment to performing Down Under:
“I feel a strong pull to perform in Australia before moving on to the next chapter and want to make sure you all know I hadn’t forgotten about you. When I return now, it will be the right time, and I promise it will be such a special experience. I can’t wait to see you all!” pic.twitter.com/1lrultszyS — The Weeknd News (@NewsWeeknd) August 18, 2024
The Australian leg of the tour is highly anticipated, with tickets having sold out quickly when first announced in August 2023. The new dates include four stadium shows:
- Saturday, October 5 – Melbourne, Marvel Stadium
- Sunday, October 6 – Melbourne, Marvel Stadium
- Tuesday, October 22 – Sydney, Accor Stadium
- Wednesday, October 23 – Sydney, Accor Stadium
Tickets will go on sale in three waves starting August 21. More details are available on The Weeknd’s official website.

Innovation isn’t just a buzzword — it’s the heartbeat of thought leadership and a catalyst for growth. And in the past year, no innovation has changed the business landscape quite like AI. At Microsoft, we’re always looking for ways to harness emerging technology for the greater good, and it’s that desire that led to the creation of the Microsoft AI Tour.
Last year’s AI Tour gave senior business leaders and technical practitioners a platform to come together and explore the transformative potential of AI, and we couldn’t be happier with the response it received. That’s why we’re hitting the road again, and this time we’ve tripled the cities on the itinerary to ensure we can reach more of our customers and partners around the world. We hope you’ll join us.
A global movement
The Microsoft AI Tour is more than an event; it’s a global movement that will begin September 24, 2024, and span over 60 cities around the world, from Mexico City to Johannesburg, Mumbai to Sydney, Seoul to Berlin, and many more. This free, one-day and in-person experience offers AI thought leadership, sessions to help build AI skills, hands-on workshops and connection opportunities designed to inspire attendees, while providing practical approaches for using the power of AI to improve productivity and deliver solutions that drive real impact for businesses. We’ll also showcase local customer and partner stories at each stop, which makes the AI Tour a great chance for attendees to deepen their connections with local peers.
Something for everyone
Whether you’re a senior business leader or a technical practitioner, you’ll find valuable insights and actionable solutions at these events. We’ve built the Microsoft AI Tour from the ground up to be a comprehensive AI experience at no cost to you.
For technical practitioners, the Microsoft AI Tour is a platform for learning, collaborating and staying ahead of AI trends. It offers immersive workshops on the latest AI technologies, hands-on experience with Microsoft and partner experts and a vibrant community ready to exchange ideas. We’ll also provide insight into the future of AI, helping attendees stay updated on the rapidly evolving tech landscape.
For senior business leaders, the AI Tour is a unique opportunity to understand how AI can drive growth and innovation for their organizations. Through expert-led presentations, attendees will gain insights into how to best leverage AI to solve complex problems and create lasting value. Plus, dive deep into how AI fits into the Microsoft roadmap, which will help those present align their AI strategies with the latest technologies and best practices.
Learn from Microsoft leadership
During the event, attendees will have the opportunity to engage with industry-leading experts, partners and members of Microsoft’s senior leadership team. Leaders such as Satya Nadella, Chairman and CEO, and Judson Althoff, Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer, will join us at select stops on the tour, where they’ll share how this new generation of AI is reshaping how people live and work.
We can’t wait for you to join us
AI innovation continues to grow, and how we conduct business and develop solutions will never be the same because of it. By joining us at the Microsoft AI Tour, you can position yourself at the forefront of that innovation and ensure you are prepared for whatever’s next on the horizon.
Ready to join this innovation revolution? Visit the Microsoft AI Tour website and request to attend the Tour when it comes to your city.

These will be The Weeknd ’s first stadium shows in Australia and his first visit since 2017. Special guests Mike Dean and Chxrry22, along with Australian DJ and vocalist, Anna Lunoe, will join him on all 2024 Australian dates.
However, fans in Brisbane and New Zealand, who were included in the cancelled 2023 tour, will be disappointed to learn that these locations are not part of the 2024 itinerary.
According to a statement from the tour’s press release: “Due to schedule and logistical constraints, the ‘After Hours ‘Til Dawn’ tour will not be making its way to New Zealand or Brisbane in 2024 and there will be no further cities added.”
This decision has sparked backlash on social media, with fans expressing frustration over their shows being dropped from the 2024 run.
One commenter noted on Reddit , “Not sure what logistical circumstances they’re trying to blame for not coming to Brisbane or even NZ. Suncorp Stadium literally has no event booked in October other than the Travis Scott show at the end of the month.” Another added, “Apparently it’s more logical to fly to Australia, fly back to the USA, fly back to Australia and then fly back again.”
Before announcing the 2024 Australian dates, The Weeknd performed numerous sold-out shows across the United States as part of the After Hours Til Dawn tour.
The U.S. leg included notable performances at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles and MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, where he fans with a setlist featuring hits from After Hours and Dawn FM .
For 2023 ticket holders, a special ‘ Past Purchaser Presale ‘ will be available, offering the first opportunity to secure tickets for the upcoming Australian tour dates.
The Weeknd’s After Hours Til Dawn tour has been a global success, with over 60 sold-out stadium dates and more than 3 million attendees across North America, Europe, the U.K., and Latin America. The tour has also broken attendance records, including a two-night run at London Stadium that drew 160,000 fans.
In other recent news, earlier this month it was revealed The Weeknd will return to Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Hollywood on Sept. 5 with The Weeknd: Nightmare Trilogy , an immersive haunted house experience featuring music by The Weeknd and Mike Dean.
It follows the success of his 2022 After Hours Nightmare attraction, inspired by his Billboard 200-topping album After Hours .

To gain access, previous ticket holders need to register via this form , which closes on Tuesday, August 20 at 1pm. If you have previously signed up for the waitlist, you don't need to re-register.
Previous ticket holders will then receive an email from Live Nation with special access ahead of the presale. Please note this does not guarantee tickets.
What’s the current setlist for the Weeknd tour?

Demos, discussions and more at the Salesforce World Tour Sydney 2024
We were delighted to welcome the Australian Olympic Committee’s Mia Pacey to our Speaker Session at Salesforce World Tour Sydney 2024. Here’s a recap.
It’s billed as the largest cloud computing conference in the southern hemisphere. It attracts big-brand leaders and tech experts, who come together to nut out new solutions for today’s most complex digital transformations. And it never disappoints.
We set up shop in the buzzing Campground precinct, alongside other trailblazing tech vendors. Here, we welcomed around 300 visitors to our booth, and delivered upwards of 50 demos to attendees from a wide range of industries who were keen to see what else Docusign can do apart from eSignature.
For example, some wanted to explore Docusign Gen for Salesforce , which automatically generates polished, configurable agreements with just a few clicks in Salesforce. Others were keen to see how Docusign plays with Slack, and hear about our latest AI capabilities. Many told us they didn’t realise how easy it is to connect Salesforce and Docusign to send, sign, and manage important sales documents without ever leaving Salesforce.
It was great to have all these conversations with customers, but one in particular stood out.
Going for gold in our Speaker Session
With buzz about the Paris Olympics building, it was a real treat to welcome Mia Pacey, Senior Salesforce Functional Consultant at Australian Olympic Committee (AOC) to our Speaker Session. The AOC, a non-government, not-for-profit organisation, is responsible for selecting, sending and funding Australian Teams to the Olympic Games. Clearly, they have a big year ahead.
Mia leads the AOC’s Salesforce projects and user experience. During the session, which attracted over 60 attendees, she spoke about how they use Docusign to send agreements to nominated athletes — who, according to Mia, mostly prefer to sign their forms on mobile devices.
She also gave advice to companies just starting out with Salesforce and Docusign, noting the importance of focusing on the end user experience first and foremost, but not neglecting to consider the internal user experience. To enhance both, she recommended leaning into the automations available in Salesforce and that come out-of-the-box with Docusign.
We’re saving the best for Momentum
One of the most common questions we got asked by attendees? Everyone wants to know what’s coming next for Docusign.
Naturally, we didn’t want to spill all the beans at Salesforce World Tour. We’ve kept the best bits up our sleeve for our very own showcase, Momentum Sydney , and we hope you can join us there on 25 July 2024 to learn more about our future product roadmap.
