Highlight of our 12 day trip to Italy!

Our tour leader, Federica, was THE BEST. By the end of the day, we almost felt like she was family. She found a way to connect with all the adults and kids in our group. One of our van drivers, Christian, was AWESOME. He didn't just drive us from place to place. He pointed out places of interest, told us interesting stories and jokes and genuinely cared about our enjoyment. The itinerary was perfect. We loved the amount of time we were given at each stop. Fontaleoni Winery was really special. Simone was THE BEST. Our tasting and lunch was perfect. We were sat at the most beautiful table under a willow tree. The food was excellent. Our group's favorite day of our entire trip!

I had sent several emails for clarification and was responded to in a very timely fashion! Our tour guide was absolutely amazing! She was super informative, very helpful throughout the day as it was super hot and she pointed out all break spots and water filling stations. Overall a fantastic tour

The Amalfi Coast with Roberto

Roberto, or Rob (as he prefers) was great. He was very informative, entertaining, sincere, and very appreciative. He truly lives what he does and it shows. The tour was incredible. The Amalfi Coast is truly beautiful, it's really too bad it's filled with so many tourists. I know, I know, I'm a tourist too, but I can only imagine what it would have been like with far less tourists there at a time. The food was amazing, as was the limoncello.

Would definitely recommend!

We used The Tour Guy last week for tours of the Vatican and the Colosseum and both were amazing! The guides were very knowledgeable, friendly and very approachable, the group sizes were perfect. If we needed further tours we’d absolutely use The Tour Guy again and would definitely recommend to others.

Guides were late, disorganized

Guides were late, and this company had too many people checking in at one time. You need to figure out a better way to check in 75+ people and break them off into groups sooner. Was too chaotic, and even our tour guide was stressed out.

I’m sorry to hear about the challenges you faced during your visit on August 3rd. The city unexpectedly welcomed 60,000 pilgrims from Germany, which created additional stress for both tour operators and guides. We’ve taken this experience to improve our training and better prepare our team for such situations. I hope the rest of your time in Rome was more enjoyable. Excellent day

We had a fantastic experience with our driver for the day. He picked us up promptly at our hotel and took us to wineries and a small village. He was informative and friendly and gave us pointers on the wine in the region. He kept us moving from place to place in a timely manner. We were very happy that we booked a private day with him. We would definitely book with The Tour guy again as this experience was all we hoped.

10/10 food tour

Had a great time with Lori on this food tour in florence. She was so knowledgeable and friendly and as a solo student traveller it felt like being briefly adopted into a family for dinner! Learnt a lot and lots of good food, would highly recommend.

In a day tours... just what we needed.

We used the Tour Guy on 4 separate occasions through our holiday in Europe and every time was awesome. We did "in a day" tours and found them perfect to give us a good foundation of each city, with heaps of knowledge and skip the line opportunities. We could then take away our favourite aspects to explore deeper on other days. Plus sites and activities we hadn't even considered, which were awesome!

Rome in a day with Carolina

Highly recommend this tour for anyone wanting to see as much as you possibly can in a day while learning all about the history of each location visited. Tour was very well organized and our guide Carolina was simply amazing. As a history and fine arts major and being a guide for many years, she knows her stuff. Not having to wait in line is a huge plus especially in the Summer heat. Thank you for such an amazing time during our visit and tour.

Our bicycle tour of Barcelona was… Outstanding

Our bicycle tour of Barcelona was highly informative and allowed us to see many important sites. Our guide was great. The electric bikes allowed us to develop a better connection with the sites and we were able to see much more than the walking tours. And finally, Alfredo made the tour a lot of fun.

Great professional tour company

My family spent two weeks in Italy and London and booked our tours using the Tour Guy. First let me start by saying how well organized they are. The meeting spots were clearly defined and the tour guides either wore a red Tour Guy shirt or held a Tour Guy flag and often did both. They provide an audio receiver and new headphone for each attendee which enabled us to walk and look around the area without having to be close by just to hear the guide. It was always loud and clear even as far as 20 yards away. As for the knowledge and pace, I found our guides always friendly and well versed on the subject matter and engaging. This makes a big difference with these types of tours. We’ve taken numerous tours with The Tour Guy and they clearly make a point of hiring knowledgeable and qualified guides.

Great experience

Customer service was great while navigating the changes in Paris for the Olympics. I was notified multiple ways when the meeting point had to be changed. Transportation was comfortable and all was on time. Our English speaking tour guide, I believe her name is Josephine, was amazing and a wealth of knowledge. She also had a great sense of humor. All in all, we would definitely book again with this group.

Unethical Quid Pro Quo

I booked a very expensive all day tour for myself and two other family members in London. The tour did not go well for many reasons but mainly because nobody on the tour could hear the guide. Everyone on the tour was dissatisfied and complaining to the guide. I complained to the company during the tour as well as afterwards in an email. Unfortunately, this is a lost cause. This was a Senior trip for my daughter I had been planning for over a year. There's no way to ever get this time back. Here's the kicker...I was offered a 40% discount IF I removed my critical review of the tour and company from Tripadvisor. I felt this was unethical and have decided to decline their offer even through its costing me more than $300 in refunds.

A fantastic tour with Marco as our…

A fantastic tour with Marco as our guide. He explained the Capuchin Chapel and the history of the area so clearly. My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed the tour. We were able to relax, knowing that the guide and driver would ensure that we entered the Catacombs on time. Thanks Marco and TheTourGuy staff.

Vatican at Closing was Perfect Amount of Time

I don’t remember our guide’s name but he was wonderful … very knowledgeable and engaging. It was a great tour! We did the Vatican at closing tour, which was the perfect amount of time for us to see some highlights in the short amount of time we had in Rome.

I had a cruise ride

I had a cruise ride and the company didn’t call me( that happened 15 minutes before the tour when I requested to call me to tell them my location with my group of 10 including my old grandma of 84 years old. They wanted me to go from the boat company back to the meeting point and then walk back again to the boat. I requested to call me but they didn’t do that. I couldn’t do the cruise because they left without us. When you have a big group usually the other guides called me just to make sure where I am , but in this case in Paris, they didn’t care. And they didn’t want to reschedule another tour for my group. I asked for a credit to do the tour again but they refused.
