I am shocked and furious to even be writing this review, because other than the FRAUDULENT CHARGES we actually had a great experience... On August 3, at 3pm I went onto the website and booked what I thought was 2 Early Bird specials for August 10th. Paying $309 online. Come Thursday, August 10, my group and I go to the address on the confirmation email. When the employees were unable to locate my reservation in their system, I showed my confirmation email. To which, we discovered the reservation was accidentally made for August 3 at 10am instead of August 10 at 10am. One employee called someone, who I can only assume is 'the boss' and told me they could accommodate my group for an additional $45 rescheduling fee per jet ski. Upon closer observation I realized that my confirmation booking email (which is sent immediately upon booking) was received at 3:02pm. I shared this and contested the additional rescheduling charge (totaling $90 for 2 jet skis) due to impossibility of performance. It should not have been possible for me at 3:02pm to book a tour that already occurred in the past, at 10am. Photos of the confirmation email attached. The employee nicely said there was nothing he could do. He did mention not seeing my name on the early bird ride reservations for the week prior, which supported my evidenced claim of the improper booking. So i asked: online it says you take walk-up's. What if I was just a walk up? I was told it would be $308. At which point I told them, I will dispute the previous charge with my bank- because that booking should never have been allowed to occur. And at this point, I was just a walk up customer with no reservation. They ran my card for another $308. I was told they would void the improper reservation, but they did not. To my surprise, I was charged an ADDITIONAL $600! This charge was performed after I left, I was never told any additional charge would occur and there was absolutely no incident or damage to justify this charge. Between 1) not refunding the improper impossible booking, 2) Attempting to shake me down an additional $90 for 'rescheduling' and 3) Charging $600 out of the clear blue sky I am OUTRAGED! This business is an absolute scam with extremely shady practices! Such a shame because the employees, Alejandro and Kevin were very friendly, the ride was great and we planned on coming back- likely multiple times! Alejandro even took great pictures of our family that I will cherish. I tipped $50 cash in appreciation for their services. And walked away pleased. Until I looked at my bank statement. I am shocked and stunned and feel OBLIGATED TO WARN THE PUBLIC. To be wrongfully out $1000 is a big deal. I have already disputed these transactions with my banks fraud department. I guess you could say this experience was more than what I bargained for.

The tour was fine. My son and husband had a good time. When I asked to get the receipt that the hold had been removed from my credit card. The guide said since it was a hold they remove it and there was no receipt option but that it doesn't even hit your card. Welp its been 5 days and they haven't refunded it.

SCAM DO NOT BOOK. SUPER SKETCHY!! First off, phone number goes to a voicemail then automated text. I booked five jet skis as an excursion for some work colleagues as we were on a work trip. When we arrived early, there was no one there. Received text that they had to get gas. When the girl showed up finally, she rushed us through the paperwork, took our payment, told us to initial the waiver for the training which never happened, and tried to get us out although a storm was looming on the distance. At first sight, the jet skis were a little questionable with duct tape quite visible on most of the jet skis. It began to lightning and she kept getting on and off the phone with someone and w kept trying to get us to reschedule which we could not. She finally said they would issue a refund which they have still never done. Sensing it was a little weird, I took a video of her saying they would refund. Two weeks later and they will not return a phone call, the charge goes to a company that doesn't even acknowledge them, they will not return a message, and the Contact Us section does not work. Save yourself some time and hassle of having to dispute with your credit card company and skip this company.

Terrible. Don't even ask. They took us for an extra 600.00. Used our credit card while they were "holding" it. Real sheisty.

Our tour guide was very rude and constantly focused on getting more money. To take photos on his phone he said he charges $30 - $40 / person. He was very unprofessional and almost ruined my entire experience. The email tells you to get there one hour early but really you need to be there only 15 minutes early. Also, they hold on to your credit cards because they want to ensure no one steals the jet ski which is never mentioned upfront. Our tour started really late because our tour guide decided to take a lunch break just then. Also, the tour itself was super lame, almost a waste. It also seemed like the tour guide was making up stuff as he was speaking on star island home details. The jetski were fun though and that's really the only reason I gave two, otherwise it would have been 1 star.

FRAUD ALERT !! Claims they will give you back your refund for the deposit on the jet ski and then they will Just keep your money. He will put blame on everything else but won't take responsibility!! Been over a month and still waiting on my refund !!

I was there over spring break and got scammed $360 by an employee named Alex. He told me they were booked for the day but he "had a buddy" who would come get us and take us to his jetski, and to just send Alex the money on cash app. The guy never came and I asked both Alex and his friend for my money back and was told I would get the money back to me in 3-7 business days. I requested my money back on cash app multiple times and have been ghosted by them both. After writing this review I will be going through proper channels to get my money back if I am not refunded swiftly. I do not recommend going to these guys as they are scam artists.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Spoke to a person there looking to rent 2 wave runners. Set time for 4pm, I even offered a deposit! We had clear text messages, there was no confusion. When I showed up at 4pm with my family they said they had none left for the day. Just use BouYah instead, they will deliver what they promise.

They're really friendly, Ryan was great... we booked an hour long ride and tour, they even let us go over by 20 minutes... great experience and an amazing way to see the massive miami mansions on star island....

After days of lounging on South Beach and exploring Miami's cultural enclaves like Little Havana and Wynwood , you may be in the mood for a heart-pumping adventure. Zipping along Miami's waterways on a Jet Ski (also known as a personal watercraft) may be just the ticket. After consulting both traveler opinion and expert input, U.S. News found the best Jet Ski rental companies and tour operators in both Miami and Miami Beach .

Before you book, there are a few things to keep in mind. Florida law requires a person to be at least 18 to rent a personal watercraft. Additionally, anyone born on or after Jan. 1, 1988, must complete a boating education course through the National Association of State Boating Law Administrators prior to driving a personal watercraft. BoatUS Foundation offers a free online course. Your tour company may also be able to give you a quick safety course and issue you a temporary certificate. Be sure to check with your operator when you book. Know that you must have both your boating education ID card and a government-issued photo ID card to rent a personal watercraft, and you need to keep those with you on your person when you're operating it.

Jet-Ski Tours of Miami

Travelers routinely praise Jet-Ski Tours of Miami's employees for being fun and informative. Riders also say the guides will make you feel safe as you ride. The company offers three different guided tours as well as rentals. The "Fun, Fun" Tour lasts approximately one hour and takes visitors by sights like Star Island, the Venetian Islands and Palm Islands. It also includes 30 minutes of free time to either ride the watercraft at your leisure or hop into the water for a swim. The "Miami Vice" Tour lasts about 90 minutes and rides past the Port of Miami and downtown; it also stops at Fisher Island SandBar for photos and includes a 20-minute free ride around a designated area. The aptly named "Do It All" Tour lasts two hours. It includes all of the sites and activities in the "Miami Vice" tour plus a 30-minute stop for snorkeling along a coral reef. If you'd rather just whiz around on a Jet Ski or WaveRunner, that's possible, too. Jet-Ski Tours of Miami offers a "Freedom Ride" that lets you ride around on a personal watercraft within a designated area.

Guided tours operate daily, though specific tours run at different times of day. Rides range from $150 to $240 per vehicle, and each vehicle can accommodate up to two riders. "Freedom Ride" half-hour rentals cost about $90 per vehicle and are only available Monday to Thursday. In addition, these rentals are on a first-come, first-served basis and cannot be reserved. Hourlong rides can be reserved in advance and will cost about $140 per machine. The company recommends renting in the morning to avoid the surge of afternoon crowds. (Note: While reviews are generally positive, a few tourists complain of poor customer service.) Trips depart from the Bentley Bay Marina in Miami Beach, about a mile northwest of South Pointe Park .

Miami Jet Ski Rental

If you want to combine a Jet Ski trip with a dolphin watching experience, Miami Jet Ski Rental has the tour for you. Its two-hour Dolphin Safari Adventure takes travelers on a high-speed personal watercraft ride to view dolphins. If you're lucky, you may even spot a manatee. The trip also includes access to snorkeling gear in case you want to hop in the water during a stop. Alternatively, you can take a trip through Biscayne Bay and see the city's skyline by booking the company's 60-minute Island Adventure tour. Or, if you'd rather not take a formal tour, the company also offers a Morning Ridezone option which allows for an hourlong ride in a designated area.

Travelers say this company is excellent for beginners as guides take their time helping newbies get accustomed to driving a personal watercraft. Riders also note the guides helped them get a temporary boating certificate. (And don't worry, patrons praise the actual outings, too.) Both the Dolphin Safari Adventure and the Morning Ridezone typically depart in the morning starting at 9 a.m. while the Island Adventure tour departs in both the mornings and afternoons (exact days vary). During an outing with Hector's Jet Ski Tours, travelers can expect to see popular Miami attractions from the water including Fisher Island SandBar, the Venetian Islands, Key Biscayne, downtown and Millionaire's Row. There are multiple options for riding. Visitors hoping to learn more about Miami can schedule a narrated tour with the company.

Tour-takers routinely praise Hector, saying he is friendly and knowledgeable. They also appreciate that he's safety conscious and gives comprehensive instruction to beginners. Hourlong tours cost $150 per machine, and two-hour outings cost approximately $180. Each machine can accommodate up to two people (no more than 400 pounds total), and groups are limited to four watercrafts per tour. Trips run daily, but you will need to contact the company for available times. Longer trips and private outings are available for an additional fee, as are tandem outings that allow a company tour guide to do the driving for you. Tours depart from a dock on Lake Pancoast in Miami Beach, about a block away from the beginning of the Miami Beach Boardwalk on 24 th Street.

The price is per machine. Two adults allowed per machine. Max weight per machine is 400 lbs. A small child can be added in addition to the two adults as long as the total weight doesn’t exceed 400 lbs.

99% of our customers receive a full refund of their deposit. Deposit charges are usually the result of physical damages to the jet ski(s) caused by operator negligence. Using common sense, listening to instructions, operating safely, and maintaining safe distances are smart ways to ensure a fun yet safe jet ski rental with no unfortunate complications.

Anyone born after 01/01/1988 is required to have a NASBLA approved boater safety license in their possession along with a government issued ID. BUT DON’T WORRY the license is FREE and EASY. You can go online at http://www.boatus.org/florida/ and do the course for FREE. Or you can come to the docks 30 minutes early and we can provide you with the course for a $3 fee.

You are NOT required to know how to swim. You are provided proper water sports life jackets prior to boarding the skis.

Government issued ID with birth date clearly visible, credit card for guarantee, cash for gratuity, sunscreen, and a big smile to have some fun!!!

The earlier the better. Mornings start of slow and progressively get busier as the day goes on, with peak times early to late afternoon.

Gratuity for your tour guide is NOT included.

Our tour guides try to cater the adventure to the skill levels of the guests on each particular trip. We are very good at keeping it fun for the speedsters while making sure the more timid in the group feel safe and not rushed.

Security deposit is typically $300 per jet ski, accepted as cash or credit card authorization. One person may leave the security deposit for multiple jet skis within their group. Accommodations can be made for larger groups or under special circumstances.

Cash deposits are returned at the end of the rental. Credit card authorizations only verify funds are available and are not charges. The issuing bank will place a hold or “freeze” for the deposit amount and typically release it in one to three days. If necessary we can usually assist in an immediate release.

If another licensed & insured company in Miami or Miami Beach offers the same services and lower rate using our same model jet skis, same year or newer, we will beat their advertised rate by $5. NOTE: Companies using Public Boat Ramps or Transfers customers from land to a public island or an anchored boat IS NOT LEGAL. Verification may be required.

Our staff constantly monitors our ride zone and will personally let you know when your time is up and assist in returning jet skis to the dock.

State law requires a person to be at least 18 years old to rent, 14 years old to operate, and passengers can be any age. Those born on or after Jan. 1st, 1988 may require a Flordia Boating Permit to drive. We can issue temporary permits at our location.

Yes. Our staff will provide complete and thorough instructions prior to your rental. We rent to thousands of “first timers” every year ranging from teenagers, to athletes, to seniors.

Our ride zone is always monitored by our staff on their own jet ski to help and assist with any issues or questions. Our tour guides all carry waterproof phones and a safety box on every tour, and are never more than a whistle away at all times.

People on the same jet ski can switch from driver to passenger at any time throughout the rental. The skis are stable and this can be done very easily.

Modern jet skis are very stable, you can stand on one side without flipping the jet ski over. Extra passengers may increase the risk of tipping over or falling off, but ultimately safe control rests with the driver.

Yes, life jackets are required by law and are provided with your rental at no extra charge. We have all sizes from infant to XXXL and everywhere in between.

Final moments caught on camera of Florida father and son before fatal jet ski crash

A father and son's ride on a jet ski in the Florida Keys turned into a tragic accident when they were killed in a devastating crash .

José Dominguez, 47, and his nine-year-old son, Daniel, had recently relocated to the Keys from Miami , eager to start a new chapter in their lives.

The incident occurred on August 13 in the Middle Keys near Marathon just before 7 pm, according to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC).

The father and son were riding a 2018 Yamaha personal watercraft when they collided with a seawall in a no-wake zone, where vessels are required to move slowly.

Monroe County Sheriff Rick Ramsay explained to the Miami Herald that José, who was driving the jet ski, struck the seawall "head-on" at full speed, with "no slowing down."

The impact of the crash was so intense that José was thrown approximately 20 feet onto land, while Daniel was flung into the water.

Surveillance footage showed the two wearing life jackets during the ride, and a chilling image from the scene showed the front of the jet ski torn off and a sandal left behind on the seawall.

Witnesses at a nearby mobile home park immediately jumped into the water to help the child following the crash.

Multiple frantic 911 calls were made as bystanders attempted to comprehend the severity of the situation. One witness described the scene in a panicked call: "There's a jet ski accident right across the canal."

An anxious child also dialed 911, speaking in Spanish while struggling to catch their breath. "Send the ambulance, quickly! They are outside because they were coming to the bridge and I think my uncle do gas... and they hit the bridge," the child said.

Further calls revealed the horror of the crash, with one person stating that the father was thrown onto the ground "because he hit at 50 mph."

Another caller mentioned hearing a "jet ski explosion" and said, "I didn't really see it, I just heard it, but I think he like, ran straight into the seawall, and he's like, on land."

Jennifer, who was dining with her family at Castaways Waterfront Restaurant and Sushi Bar nearby, told the Miami Herald that José was unresponsive , but Daniel was "making noise" after the crash.

She recalled another young boy crying and screaming beside Daniel. "A man tore down the wood privacy fence to get across to Daniel, who was about 10 feet in from the wall, against a motorhome," Jennifer added. "Everyone was crying. I, and others, began praying."

Tragically, José was pronounced dead at the scene. Daniel, who was airlifted to Nicklaus Children's Hospital, went into cardiac arrest during the flight and later died, Sheriff Ramsay confirmed.

In the wake of the tragedy, Morgan Coleman, an employee at the nearby restaurant, created a GoFundMe page to support José's wife and Daniel's mother, Griselda Pérez.

She wrote: "Griselda Pérez, a loving wife and mother, is now left to navigate the heartache of losing her husband and son while also raising her two surviving children alone.

"Griselda now faces the overwhelming burden of grief, while also needing to provide for her children's future without the support of her husband. No one should have to endure such a loss alone."

As of Wednesday morning, the fundraiser had garnered over $8,600 in donations to assist Griselda and her surviving children.

The Dominguez family had only recently moved to the Florida Keys, drawn by their love for the area. Daniel had been set to begin school at Stanley Switlik Elementary the day after the tragic accident.

Authorities confirmed that alcohol was not a factor in the crash. The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission is continuing its investigation into the incident.
