Top 10 Most Popular Paraguay Food That You Must Try

BY  Sarmind Safi May 1, 2024

Many of the countries in South America are popular for their exquisite and varied cuisine. However, the practices of Paraguay food are not known to many. The Paraguayan Cuisine has been influenced by the local indigenous tribe’s culinary traditions and practices brought by immigrants from Spain, Italy, and Portugal. Being a foodie myself, I love traveling around the world to have a taste of every new variety of food that the world has to offer. Visiting remote areas, meeting with new people, and trying out their traditional dishes is what I have always loved! I was also in your shoes when I first landed in Paraguay, a bit startled and confused. Although, as I began to explore, my first meal at a fancy restaurant in Asuncion changed my entire perception of the state.  Tid-Bits About Paraguay Food Classic Paraguay food includes some of the most exclusive dishes that are bound to beat any of the Peruvian or Argentine preparations. Traditional culinary elements in Paraguay food recipes consist of meat, maize, vegetables, manioc, cheese, fish, milk, and even fruits.  ‘Asado’ is a local term used for barbecue, which is referred to as both a cooking practice and a social event. In Paraguay, barbecuing is the most important mode of cooking their traditional Paraguayan food dishes.  Here in this article, I will elucidate the best dishes and popular foods in Paraguay that you must try in Paraguay this year. The Paraguay famous foods excite your taste buds and have an experience like never before.  1. Kivevé You will be stuck in a dilemma whether to count this as a main course or a dessert. Kieve is the most popular and loved Paraguay food. It is a vegetarian dish that is cooked out of andai (a type of juicy pumpkin), cornmeal, Paraguayan cheese, milk, and sugar. Kieve is a typical food in Paraguay. It has a very creamy and light texture and is orangish in color. This rich-flavored delicacy is served lukewarm and is often consumed as a side dish or even main meal, at breakfasts, and as an evening snack. 2. Chipa Considered a staple Paraguay food, Chipa is a simple bread roll that was invented by the local indigenous people in the 18th century. It is a bun that is made out of manioc or cassava flour, lard, and anise, and beaten eggs and cheese. There are different versions of Chipa available, varying over the regional influences. The bread has a very crunchy crust due to the addition of lard. The crumb is soft and has a unique flavor. It is prepared and consumed by every household in the state.  3. Bori Bori Bori-Bori (Vori-Vori) is a nutritious and flavorful thick soup that is prepared out of vegetables such as carrots, celery, onions. It is filled with meat (chicken or beef) and dumplings of cornmeal plus cheese. The prime flavoring ingredients in this soup are bay leaves, cloves, and parsley. The addition of saffron to this hearty broth makes it even more flavorful and rich golden in color. It must be served piping hot, garnished with some parsley and Paraguayan cheese on the side. It is especially popular during the winters.  4. Sopa Paraguaya This specialty is not what it sounds like. Even though SOPA translates to soup in the local language, it is not at all in the vicinity of any soupy preparations. It is the national dish of Paraguay, which resembles a cakey thick bread.  It is crafted out of cornflour, cheese, milk, and eggs. The flavor is inculcated through the use of onions and pork fat. It is usually baked and is often termed solid soup. It has a soft and crumbly texture and is served on special occasions as a side dish.  5. Mbeju Mbeju, when translated to the local Guarani language, means cake. It is a very simple and staple Paraguay food. It is a kind of starchy pancake that is prepared with cassava flour, salt, oil, milk, eggs, crumbled cheese, and even pork fat.  The dough is kneaded well and rolled out thickly like a pancake. It is then fried in hot oil. It is usually consumed during breakfast, sometimes dinner, alongside a bitter herbal tea or coffee.  6. Soyo This is another popular Paraguay food, which is a thick unpassed soup. It is made with beef grounded in a mortar, rice, and vegetables, including green peppers, onions, and tomatoes. Soyo is another good example of Paraguay’s famous food.  The dish is flavored with garlic, parsley, oregano, salt, and pepper. The name is derived from the native Guarani phrase so’o josopy, meaning crushed meat. A whole bowl of soyo can be considered as a complete meal and has a high calorific value. Also Read: Unmissable Attractions In Surabaya 7. Tereré Since the climate in Paraguay tends to grow hotter every summer, Terere acts as a relief to many. It is a cold-brewed herbal tea that is bitter in taste and is commonly known as yerba mate.  Terere is one of the essential elements of export, and the natives can be seen carrying around a thermos flask, guampa (a spherical mug), and bombilla (a silver straw) everywhere they go. It is a very healthy and refreshing drink and has high caffeine content. 8. Dulce de Mamon Here comes our most awaited syrupy sweet dessert in the list of top Paraguay food you must try! Dulce de Mamon is one of the oldest and most traditional preparations of Paraguay, which has only two major ingredients. It is cooked by boiling small cut wedges of papaya in sugar syrup. The mixture is simmered for almost 2 hours in order for the papaya to achieve a soft texture. You can even add some cloves, lemon zest, and a little orange juice to enhance the flavors.  Also Read: 3 Intriguing Reasons To Cruise In Alaska 9. Pira Caldo Another most favored Paraguay food includes Pira Caldo. It is basically a light fish stew made with freshwater catches such as surubi, mandi’y, and tare’y. I have never in my life tasted such meaty textured fishes with a tinge of saltiness in them.  Initially, vegetables such as onions, tomatoes, leeks, celery, bell peppers, and carrots are fried in pork or beef fat and are cooked with other spices. It is then combined with milk and soft white cheese to improve the thickness and flavor. 10. Bife Koygua Bife Koygua, or hidden steak as it is known, is another popular Paraguay food that is a must-try.  It is a heavy preparation in which the beef steaks are covered with onions and tomatoes. Hence the name. According to the local language, bife means beef, and koygua means shy or hidden. The recipe calls for the steak to be pounded first with spices, then fried with onions and topped with tomatoes. Towards the end, an egg or two is added at the top, and the dish is garnished with parsley. Puchero Paraguayo Recipe The Paraguayan version of a traditional meat stew is called Puchero paraguayo. This stew has its origins in Spain and is now prepared in several countries throughout South America and the Philippines. The name of the stew, Puchero, comes from the Spanish word meaning "stewpot". Course: Main Course Cuisine: Latin American, Paraguayan Servings: 4 people Author: Nita Ragoonanan Ingredients 1½ lb beef (skirt or flank steak, cut into pieces) 3 cloves garlic, cut in half 1 onion, chopped 1 green bell pepper, diced 2 carrots 10 oz. pumpkin, cubed 2 potatoes, cubed ½ cup rice 6 tablespoons olive oil Salt Pepper Equipment Pressure cooker Instructions To start, get a large pot and fill it with 10 cups (2.5L) of water. Add in some onions, carrots, and bell peppers, and bring it to a boil. Let it simmer for 15 minutes and season it with salt and pepper to your liking. Set it aside. Next, heat some olive oil in a pressure cooker and add in some garlic and meat. Saute over high heat while stirring constantly until the meat is browned. Pour in the reserved broth and vegetables and close the pressure cooker. Cook for 45 minutes on medium-low heat. While waiting, rinse the rice. After 45 minutes, open the pressure cooker and add in the rice, potatoes, and pumpkin. Close the pressure cooker again and continue cooking for 15 minutes. Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs): Q1. Strategic Planning for Savings The key to successful budget travel lies in meticulous early preparation. Start your planning well in advance to capitalize on the best deals. Early research and booking of lodgings, flights, and activities is recommended since early bird discounts and promotions are available. By doing so, you not only secure lower prices but also have a more comprehensive range of choices, ensuring that you get the best value for your money. Explore various travel platforms, compare prices, and consider bundling options for additional savings. 2. Timing Matters: Booking on a Budget Understanding the optimal times to book flights and accommodations is crucial for budget-conscious travelers. Airlines and hotels often offer discounted rates during specific periods, such as off-peak seasons or promotional events. Use online tools and platforms to monitor price fluctuations, and aim to make your bookings during periods when prices are typically lower. Flexibility in your trip dates also results in significant savings. Consider scheduling mid-week flights and skipping busy travel days to get better discounts. 3. Avoiding Pricey Guided Tours While guided tours provide convenience, they often come with a hefty price tag. Explore alternative ways to experience your destination without compromising on the richness of your adventure. Utilize local transportation, embark on self-guided walking tours, and research points of interest in advance. Engaging with the local community can uncover hidden gems and unique experiences that might be missed on a standard guided tour. Take advantage of technology, such as travel apps and audio guides, to enhance your self-guided exploration. 4. Embrace Off-Peak Travel Traveling during the off-season offers numerous advantages for budget-conscious explorers. Off-peak periods often translate to lower costs for accommodations, flights, and attractions. Additionally, you'll encounter fewer crowds, allowing for a more immersive and tranquil experience. Research the off-peak seasons for your desired destinations and plan your travels accordingly to maximize savings. Enjoying popular tourist spots without the hustle and bustle not only saves money but also provides a more authentic and serene experience. 5. Smart Accommodation Choices Navigating the world of budget-friendly accommodations requires careful consideration. Beyond traditional hotels, explore options like hostels, guesthouses, and vacation rentals. Websites and apps dedicated to budget travel can help you discover unique lodging options that cater to your preferences and budget. Don't shy away from unconventional choices – they can enhance your travel experience while keeping costs down. Prioritize accommodations that offer kitchen facilities, enabling you to prepare some of your meals and further reducing expenses. For additional insights into making intelligent accommodation choices, consider exploring resources like the headquarters location. It will help find details for Hotels like Marriott, IHG, Hilton, Holiday Inn Express Corporate Office, Phone number, Business Email etc. Such resources provide valuable information about reputable accommodations. 6. Savoring Affordable Local Cuisine Delve into the world of budget-friendly dining, from street food markets to local eateries. One of the joys of travel is experiencing the local cuisine, and you don't have to break the bank to do so. Explore local markets, food stalls, and smaller restaurants where you can sample authentic dishes at a fraction of the cost of upscale establishments. Engage with locals to discover hidden culinary gems and take advantage of happy hour deals for both food and beverages. 7. Budget-Friendly Transportation Hacks Uncover strategies for cost-effective travel, including budget airlines, public transit, and rideshare services. While it might be tempting to rent a car, consider the affordability and convenience of public transportation in many destinations. Budget airlines often offer significantly lower fares, especially when booked in advance. Rideshare services can be more economical than traditional taxis, particularly for short distances. Research transportation options in your destination and plan your itinerary accordingly to minimize expenses. Related: 5 Things You Can Carry For An Amazing Trip On A Budget 8. Maximizing Free and Low-Cost Activities Learn to make the most of free attractions, parks, and cultural events at your destination. Many cities offer a wealth of free activities, from museums with free entry on certain days to outdoor concerts and festivals. Plan your itinerary around these opportunities to enjoy a rich cultural experience without spending a dime. Explore local parks, historical sites, and architectural landmarks that don't require admission fees. Utilize apps and websites that highlight free events happening in the area during your visit. 9. Packing Light for Savings Master the art of packing efficiently to avoid extra baggage fees and streamline your travel experience. Pack adaptable clothing pieces that can be combined and matched to minimize the need for additional packing. Invest in tiny travel-sized toiletries to comply with airline restrictions while saving room. To save money on your trip, take a reusable water bottle and food. Packing light not only saves money but also enhances your mobility and reduces the stress of lugging around heavy baggage. 10. Leveraging Travel Rewards and Loyalty Programs Discover how loyalty programs and travel incentives may drastically reduce your total travel expenditures. Many airlines, hotels, and credit card firms have reward systems that award points or miles for every purchase. These points can be used for reduced or free airfare, lodging, and other travel-related costs. To optimize discounts, research and join up for reward programs that are relevant to your trip plans. Additionally, consider travel credit cards that offer perks such as waived annual fees, travel insurance, and exclusive access to airport lounges. In conclusion, embarking on a budget-friendly adventure requires a combination of careful planning, intelligent choices, and a willingness to explore alternatives. With these tips and tricks, you can enjoy memorable and enriching travel experiences without exceeding your financial limits. Whether you're a seasoned budget traveler or new to the concept, embracing these strategies will not only save you money but also enhance the authenticity of your journey. So, pack your bags, embrace the spirit of adventure, and make the most of every budget-friendly moment on the road. The Israel Museum is a must-visit place if you are taking a tour of Jerusalem. The Old City of Jerusalem, which has been announced as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is a place of devotion for Christians, Jews, and Muslims.  Dead Sea Make sure to traverse the mineral-rich waters of the Dead Sea with your family. The ancient fortress of Masada is an attraction in the Dead Sea. The ruins of King Herod’s palace are one of the most attractive sights to see in the Dead Sea.  Situated on the edge of the Dead Sea, Ein Gedi is the largest oasis of the Judean Desert. There are too many places and resorts for you to relax and spend your time.  Desert Adventure  If your family is enthusiastic about adventures, The Negev desert is your go-to place. You can enjoy family-friendly hikes and stargazing.  We would definitely recommend taking your time for a jeep tour with the Bedouins in the desert. They are open for these tours every day. Plus, you can do sandboarding in the desert.  The Negev dessert is the best for star gazing and night tours. Plus, there are desert buggies if you are in for some rough race.  Looking for Family-Friendly Hotels or Accommodations Finding the right place for your family is the first thing you do once you reach Israel. It is a place where you can get all types of accommodations based on your family's size and needs.  While your vacations in Israel largely depend on your budget, you can find the right place in the bustling city. You can easily find youth hostels, mansions, vacation rentals, and remote campsites. In Jerusalem, you can get to choose from a large number of hotels suitable for families. They are equipped with family rooms and kids' clubs. Tel Aviv hotels offer beach-front views, along with innate boutique facilities.  Similarly, accommodations in the Dead Sea are mostly spa-style hotels and resorts. You can easily get luxury space with popular small beds. If your family size is quite large, try renting a vacation home or apartment for comfort and flexibility. Pro Tips for a Family Vacation Planning and Preparing Ahead: Planning is the first step towards successive outcomes. Boat Charter Miami: Essential Tips for a Great Experience

BY  Sibashree Bhattacharya Jul 9, 2024

Going for a yacht rental adventure in Miami? The trip unlocks a world of exclusive experience. Many thrilling opportunities await you, too. Whether planning a serene family outing or a lively boat party, Miami is the best option.  Miami’s waters promise unforgettable experiences. This guide offers essential tips to ensure your Miami FL yacht rental or boat trip becomes a lifetime experience. Deciphering the Spectrum of Choices Miami is one of the best maritime trips. From the opulent decks of luxury yachts to enjoyable boat parties, the city caters to every nautical preference.  If you're looking to rent a yacht in Miami, first list activities you want to do. Is it the tranquility of a sunset sail? Or the open-roof dance parties to set the vibe?  Each vessel in Miami has something to offer. The yachts have ample space for you to relax. You may also have a couple-boat for that intimate experience. Selecting the Perfect Yacht When you charter a yacht in Miami, the process is akin to picking a fine wine—it’s all about the perfect fit for the occasion. Here are key considerations: Size and Layout: Ensure the yacht accommodates your group comfortably. Amenities: Look for features like sound systems, dining areas, and sun pads. Crew: A professional crew enhances safety and enriches your experience. Each choice impacts the tone of your voyage, whether it’s a laid-back cruise or a vibrant boat party in Miami. Pro tips to elevate your yacht experience Want to enjoy a perfect Miami getaway? The private yacht experience can uplift your expertise like nothing else.  Before you start exploring the riches Miami offers, here’s some cautionary advice to improve your trip.  Compare the prices There are many agencies offering yacht charters in Miami. However, the offer prices vary now and then.  There is a host of factors that vary the price.  Firstly, prices depend on season and availability to a large extent. Secondly, your bargaining skills go to great lengths to help you book yachts at fair prices.  Even if you’re booking a package, bargaining and comparing prices is a must.  Safety and parameters  Seems pretty lame.  Maybe. But quite a few miss out on these elementary areas, too.  Hence the recap. Check if there’s abundant safety equipment on the charter.  Don't forget this step even if you’re traveling with a crewed charter.  Often, people say they are pros in yacht booking. People make common mistakes, such as not checking a yacht’s safety before setting sail.  Is the weather ok? Miami’s weather is more unpredictable than Shutter Island’s climax. Hence, I must not create a clamor repeating the importance of checking the weather forecast before getting underway.  However, Miami has the most hospitable weather from November to April.  If you can’t book a holiday slot for the prime time, worry not. Miami’s boat charter is an unforgettable experience, any time of the year.  Just avoid the five months from June to November. Miami invites most hurricanes during this time.  Planning Your Itinerary Your boat trip in Miami can be as relaxed and structured as possible. But there are things you cannot miss. For instance, you can’t miss the famous Star Island.  Also, a yacht ride along the Miami River is a must on the list. If renting a boat in Miami, setting sail from less crowded docks is best. You may also start sailing from the waterfront restaurants.  However, my suggestion will be to book private charters. In other words, you need a private sail to trim the trip according to your preferences. That’s all. Now you have a vibing Miami trip.  Experiencing Miami by Water A yacht charter in Miami isn’t just about the boat—it’s a gateway to a different perspective. Imagine gliding past Miami's skyline at sunset or anchoring in vibrant South Beach for a swim.  These moments, framed by the azure waters and balmy breezes, form the essence of a Miami boat rental experience. What to Pack? Packing right is crucial for an optimal experience on a Miami yacht rental. Essentials include: Sun Protection: Sunscreen, hats, and sunglasses. Comfortable Attire: Soft-soled shoes and light clothing. Entertainment: Music playlists, games, or snorkeling gear. Remember, every item should contribute to comfort or entertainment—avoid unnecessary clutter to maximize the elegance of your yacht setting. That’s not all.  Let me suggest a customized packing list for your dream travel.  Picking the right outfit I get many queries about the right outfit for a quirky yacht ride experience.  If you want to leave a mark on your first Miami trip, here’s how you may pack your bag.  I urge all travelers to be careful about three things: what time are you visiting what robes make you most comfortable what location are you hitting I’ll say bathing suits will be the right fit for a yacht ride. You may also flaunt shorts, skirts, light-coloured shirts, or t-shirts.  Meanwhile, choose light-colored clothes, if you’ll be sunkissed for a long time.  When landing for dinner or going sightseeing, ditch the swimwear. Slip into a more dressed glance.  Beware of the tropical sun a sunburn is the last thing you want to bring home from your Miami trip. The tropical breeze, glaring water, and the sun make the sun scorch at you.  So, carry a high SPF with you. I recommend using SPF 50 at least.  Eye-capping goggles, hats, and long-sleeved clothing will come in handy.  People also make the error of carrying tanning oils.  If you follow these simple tips, your trip won’t be anything less than memorable.  Hosting a Boat Party in Miami: The ambiance is key If your goal is a boat party in Mikey. Consider a theme that resonates with Miami’s vibrant culture, perhaps a tropical luau or a sleek, modern soirée. Coordinate with your yacht rental provider in Miami to ensure the décor, music, and catering align with your vision.  Safety is paramount, so plan logistics with sobriety and emergency measures to provide a carefree and secure environment for all guests. Safety First While the allure of the sea is undeniable, safety on a Miami boat trip should never be compromised. Adhere to these protocols: Briefing: Ensure everyone understands safety procedures. Life Jackets: Available and accessible for all aboard. Captain and Crew: Confirm their qualifications and familiarity with local waters. Seamless Sailing Renting a yacht in Miami can transform an ordinary day into a spectacular adventure. So, choose the right sail. Also, plan your itinerary thoughtfully. And prioritize safety.  Remember, each moment spent on the waters of Miami should resonate with luxury, comfort, and unrivaled joy. As you embark on this majestic journey, let the ocean's horizon inspire limitless possibilities for enjoyment and relaxation. Wrapping up…………. Enjoying cautiously is the last suggestion I’d like to give you. A boat charter is an experience of a lifetime, I bet. But these packing, booking, and sailing tips can take your trip to the next level.  I hope these tips will help you on your next Miami trip. Camino de Santiago

Beginner Tips For Your First Camino de Santiago

BY  Ankita Tripathy Jun 19, 2024

The Camino de Santiago tour can be a life-changing experience for many, attracting new adventurers yearly. If you, too, are planning to take it for the first time, we have some tips on how to make your journey both smooth and enjoyable. So, here are our Camino de Santiago beginner tips without further ado. Tips for a Great Camino de Santiago Experience Now that you have a little idea about what Camino de Santiago is about, you might feel excited for your first tour! But it is more challenging than it sounds, you see. Because it takes nearly 33 days for the pilgrims to reach there, most people search for ways in which they would be able to make their journey pleasant and memorable! If you have been thinking of your first Camino de Santiago, we have you covered! Here are some of the tips that you need to keep in mind: Choosing your route Selecting the right route will be the first step to a successful trip. The most popular routes include Camino Francés, Camino Portugues, Camino del Norte, and Camino Inglés. Multiple starting points are available for each, depending on the length and difficulty level you seek. Besides the popular trails, a few lesser-known routes can be great if you want to avoid crowds. Therefore, doing your research and comparing different routes will be key here.  Packing smart During the Camino de Santiago, you will be carrying all of your belongings with you, so it should come as no surprise that packing light will be paramount. Try to stick only to the essentials, focusing on high-quality and lightweight materials. Of course, your backpack should be comfortable enough to help you with your weight as much as possible. Packaging under 10% of your body weight is a good rule of thumb.  Physical preparation Physically preparing for the Camino might be needed depending on how much you walk in your everyday life. Walking long distances for 7–14 days can be challenging, particularly towards the second half of your trip. Conditioning your body and growing your stamina will be helpful and make your journey more enjoyable. Start doing so by simply going on more and longer walks a few months before your Camino adventure.  Accommodation and planning Booking your accommodation in advance is always recommended, but it's particularly the case during peak season.  Many pilgrim hotels and hostels will be along the way, some offering affordable options. Suppose you need more confidence in planning everything yourself. In that case, many Camino agencies can do it all for you.  Health and Safety Your safety always comes first, so look after yourself and your companions. Take all the necessary safety precautions, such as drinking plenty of water, keeping energy with healthy snacks, wearing sun cream, and taking rest days if necessary. It would be best to have good travel insurance for your holiday.  Cultural etiquette Respecting local customs and traditions is always important. Learn basic phrases in Spanish to communicate with locals. Follow all the signs and rules, particularly the "Leave no Trace." Most importantly, a positive and respectful atmosphere should always be fostered along the Camino.   Navigating the Camino Most of the Camino routes are well-marked. Look for yellow arrows or scallop shell signs to guide you. However, if you need help, having a guidebook or a navigation map is still a good idea if you get lost. You can always ask fellow pilgrims or locals for directions if in doubt.  Things to Know About Camino de Santiago The Camino de Santiago is something that trekkers, as well as pilgrims, are fond of. A lot of them search for what it is. Therefore, let us explain what it is! The meaning of the word 'Camino' is 'the way.' This sums up the meaning of the phrase: Camino de Santiago, or the way to Santiago. Now, why Santiago? Let me tell you why! It is said that the remains of St. James are enshrined in the St. James Cathedral, located in Santiago. This makes the entire pilgrimage much sought after. During the Middle Ages, pilgrims traveled to Santiago by foot and visited the Cathedral for miracles or penance. This pilgrimage has become increasingly popular since its inception in the 9th century. For instance, in 2019, the authorities issued almost 350,000 Compostela certificates for the pilgrims. At present, this pilgrimage is a trail that UNESCO has listed. Moreover, people from across the world often visit this trail! What are the Best Routes for the Camino de Santiago? When people start talking about the Camino, they usually think of only one route— Camino Francés. However, this is not the ONLY option that you have. While there are several routes that you can try depending on your time and personal preference, there are a few that you MUST know about. Let us explain each of them! 1. Camino Francés (800km, St-Jean-Pied-de-Port to Santiago) For a good reason, this is the most popular route—it's stunning! This is your go-to if you want to meet fellow pilgrims and form lasting friendships. The journey takes you through picturesque villages, rolling hills, and historic towns.  2. Camino Portugués (610km, Lisboa to Santiago) This path is slightly less crowded but equally mesmerizing. It balances solitude and companionship. You'll enjoy coastal views, lush forests, and charming towns.  3. Camino del Norte (825km, Irún to Santiago) This route is perfect for serious hikers seeking a challenge. It's considered the most difficult due to its multiple ascents and descents. But the rugged beauty of the northern coast makes it worthwhile.  4. Via de la Plata (1000km, Sevilla to Santiago) If you crave serenity, explore this lesser-known route. It connects intimately with nature, passing through quiet landscapes and historic sites.  Buen Camino! The Camino de Santiago is a journey of a lifetime… Once you feel well-prepared for it, you can enjoy yourself and your beautiful surroundings! However, if you are traveling on the route, ensure you carry everything you need. If traveling here for the first time, research properly to ensure the best experience. Is it about getting most of your travel credits? It’s time to check out the FintechZoom best travel credit card alternatives.  As I was traveling in July this year, the travel credit card I was using gave me a lot of hassle. Only a traveler stuck in a foreign land knows what a nightmare it is! The bonus policies were all over the place for me, and every time I wanted to redeem my award points, the hotels charged me a certain fee. I was angry and did not know why I earned those points!  However, as I returned home, I started exploring other options and found the Platinum Card® from American Express a feasible option.  Then again, a better option for me may not work for others. So, as a traveler, I felt that I should have a sincere discussion about the traveler-friendly options available.  The travel credit card you choose will decide your travel benefits and how many miles you gather. FintechZoom has suggested some of the most suitable travel credit card options. In this guide, we will delve deeper and determine the best options for you.  THIS IS Why You Will Choose FintechZoom Best Travel Credit Card Let me be as honest as a mirror for you! What is a national park to you? For me, it is a place that brings together nature, history, culture, and outdoor pursuits. Killarney National Park, which has been recently in the news for all the good reasons, is not an exception, for sure! Also, this national park in a 300-year-old town surely has many tales to tell. It is also related to Irish folklore, as you can hear “Banshee’s Wail” in this park.  Moreover, it’s great that woodpeckers have started breeding in the national park for the first time in centuries, and the spotted chicks of woodpeckers look the cutest.   Again, the release of four white-tailed eagle chicks in the national park grabbed much attention. Further, this is an endeavor to bring back the eagles, which were extinct in Ireland.   In addition, there has been a renewed interest in the park among locals thanks to the 100th anniversary of the “Elizabeth Rose” in September 20241. This year, the Muckross Rowing Club and the Muckross Rowing Club Festival this year will celebrate the centenary of “Elizabeth Rose Killarney Six,” the first traditional racing boat to hit the Lakes of Killarney.   So, with all the focus now on Killarney National Park, let’s try to learn more about it.   Where Is The Killarney National Park?  Killarney National Park, the first national park in Ireland, is in County Kerry, southwest Ireland. Killarney town is beside County Kerry.   Further, with an extensive range of wildlife species, this park basks in exceptional ecological value. Moreover, spreading across 10,000 hectares, it has mountains, waterfalls, woodlands, and lakes.   How To Reach Killarney National Park  The cheapest way to reach Killarney National Park is to take a train to the Killarney railway station. Further, from the railway station, you must take just a 10-minute ride to the national park.   The N71 road is the main access point to the national park. However, you can also reach the park by bus or car.   Things You Cannot Miss At Killarney National Park  Killarney National Park is incomparable with its wilderness, and a large part of this national park has been unperturbed for hundreds of years. It is also home to some rare species, like red deer. In fact, the red deer herb currently residing in Killarney National Park is the last herd in Ireland.   Further, the national park has walking and hiking trails, such as the Dundag to Torc Path trail, Old Kenmare Road, and Mossy Woods. Moreover, you can climb the Mangerton and Purple mountains to explore a beautiful vista of the park and its surrounding areas.   So, let’s discuss all the activities at Killarney National Park in detail.   Exploring The Wildlife In Killarney National Park  This UNESCO Biosphere Reserve (1981) is home to Reenadinna Woods and the hub of protected and rare flora. Moreover, it has many endangered and rare mammals, reptiles, and amphibian’s species.   Plants, Animals, And Other Creatures In Killarney National Park Conserved Animals/Birds Red Deer Herd Irish Cuckoo, and Eagle Rare Species of Fauna Native Kerry Cattle Herd Caddisfly Northern Emerald Dragonfly  Rare and Protected Flora St. Patrick’s Cabbage Mountain Sorrel Greater Butterwort Green Spleenwort, and Blue-eyed Grass Mammals Red Deer Wolves Irish Hare Otter Birds White-tailed Sea Eagle Barn Owl Kingfisher Woodpecker Amphibians Smooth Newt Reptiles Viviparous Lizard Other Fauna  Kerry Slug Freshwater Pearl Mussel Marsh Fritillary Atlantic Salmon  It is due to the vast presence of various plants and animals, Killarney National Park promotes responsible behaviors and activities during your outdoor pursuits. Further, you can visit the national park with dogs, but it is better to avoid bringing them to the park during breeding season.   Hiking In Killarney National Park  You will find many trails to cycle or walk in the national park. All the trails offer you the opportunity to explore the wildlife and unique geology of the national park. Here, I will briefly discuss three such hiking and walking trails, but there are plenty more.   Ross Island Mining Trail  How about visiting a 15th-century castle in its full architectural glory? The Ross Island mining trail will take you to Ross Castle. On this trail, you will also find the oldest known metal mine in Ireland. It is even the oldest in the entire Western Europe.   This 3 Km trail will take you around 1.5 hours to complete, and it is the most favorite trail for history lovers. The encampments, ruins, and mines tell the stories of human lives and the economy of a bygone era. You will even get to see some rare flora on this trail.   Knockreer Circular Walk  As the name suggests, the trail is circular, taking you to almost all accessible parts of the national park. You can walk or cycle on this trail to encounter the endangered red deer and enjoy the beauty of the MacGillycuddy Reeks and Lough Leane.   If you want to catch some refreshments, you will find Deenagh Lodge here. Some of the ascents in the hike are tricky, but the overall experience is wholesome, with good food and the company of nature.   Muckross House to Torc Waterfall Lake Loop  The Muckross House to Torc Waterfall Lake Loop trail is ideal for families. The trail is a little challenging. However, the panoramic vista of the Middle Lake and the view of the limestone cliffs make the effort worth it.  You can continue hiking through the woods and then take the stone steps to reach the woods down. Further, from the woods, you will get to behold the Torc Waterfall. Also, this 18m high waterfall is quite powerful.   An Encounter With History And Culture At The Killarney National Park Heritage Sites   Killarney National Park has many heritage sites that tell the tales of human history and life. Further, a trip to the park is incomplete without exploring these places.  Name Of The Heritage Sites Things To Know  Muckross Abbey Graveyard It has modern and old Irish graveyards.  Also, it has the graves of 17th and 18th-century Gaelic poets, such as Geoffrey O’Donoghue, Eoghan Rua O’Suilleabhain, and Aodhagan O’Rathaille.   Further, you will see the graves of many chieftains in the graveyard.  Killarney House and Gardens It is the main visitor center for the park.  Further, Formal Pleasure Gardens in the Killarney Gardens is the “longest Irish Herbaceous Border.”  Also, the 1870 red brick building was the main seat of the Kenmare estate. Ross Castle It is a tower house made in the 15th century with some myths attached to it.   O'Donoghues Mór built the castle, and people still believe that O'Donoghues Mór still sleeps under the lake water. tour & travel news

August 12, 2023, and the news of Joy Cho death at Grand Teton National Park was the most shocking thing one could hear. It was hard to believe how the most pristine national park with scenic vistas and rich wildlife could be the last resting ground for a woman. Nevertheless, on 12th August, the mountains, which stand for human connections, saw the fall of human life.   The death of Joy Cho at the Grand Teton National Park has once again proved why hiking in this national park needs to be a careful outdoor pursuit. It is “dangerous” to go for a solo hike in this national park. However, finding a hiking buddy is not always easy.   So, here, I will discuss the safety concerns at Grand Teton National Park and how you can overcome those. However, before that, let’s discuss a little more about Joy Cho Death at Grand Teton National Park.  Joy Cho Death At Grand Teton National Park: What Happened To The California Hiker?    Joy Cho, 47, lost her life at the Grand Teton National Park in the Death Grand Teton National Park where she was hiking with seven other group members. A deeply spiritual soul, she was also very much drawn to nature.   According to reports, the rangers found that she “had succumbed to significant injuries during the fall and was pronounced dead at the scene,” and her body was turned over to the coroner’s office, according to the release.” Tim Hopkins, one of Cho’s friends, further mentioned that the malfunctioning of her ledger caused the fall of Joy Cho.   https://youtu.be/yba2ugbbhrQ?si=14Vkw5SwN2AXPs0H Joy Cho was on her attempt to climb Teewinot, a part of the Teton Range, and the elevation reached here was around 12,325 feet above sea level. After her death, many people have started talking about the steep and exposed sections while hiking to Teewinot.   So, are there really some serious safety concerns while hiking in Grand Teton National Park? It’s time to know the concerns and safety measures to avoid accidents and unfortunate incidents.   What Are The Safety Concerns At Grand Teton National Park?   Joy Cho death at Grand Teton National Park has made us examine safety concerns. From altitude sickness to unpredictable wildlife, many elements in the park need your attention. You  must be respectful, and your gear, shoes, and clothes should be on point. Even if you cross a stream with ankle-deep water, you must not be complacent or careless about protection.   Having said that, here are the major safety concerns at Teton National Park.  Altitude Sickness  With the highest altitude reaching 4199 m, you can experience altitude sickness in Grand Teton National Park. Muscle pain, lack of appetite, fatigue, and headaches are common symptoms of altitude sickness.   Weather Conditions  Teton National Park is home to Mount Moran, Buck Mountain, Grand Teton, Middle Teton, South Teton, and many other mountains that reach a height of more than 3000 m. Rainfall and snowfall are common at such high altitudes, causing the blockage of the hiking trails and hypothermia.   However, the Grand Teton also receives moderate rainfall and snowfall every year. Hiking there can also be a challenge. Further, Lightning and mid-afternoon storms in summer are other weather challenges in this park.   So, if you are hiking in the park in the summer, try hitting the high Alpine terrains. Thus, by the late afternoon, you are already back into lower altitudes.   April to June have moderate days and cold nights filled with snowfall and rain. Snowfalls and rain are also frequent at night from September to November. In addition, you will encounter the coolest nights between December to April.   Moreover, July and August are the most tumultuous in the national park due to thunderstorms in the afternoon. Have a clear idea about the weather conditions if you do not want something like Joy Cho death at Grand Teton National Park to happen.   Wildlife   Wildlife at Grand Teton National Park is extensive. However, grizzly bears and mountain lions (not always seen) are the biggest challenges for hikers and trekkers. Moose and elk are other animals that you will find in this national park. The park also has wolves, and they are not the friendliest of animals you will come across.   Looking for fresh feces, signs, and fresh tracks is the only way to know if an animal is around.   Moreover, you can occasionally find rattlesnakes in the Grand Teton National Park, especially near Montana and Gardiner. Ticks, spiders, and mosquitoes are the insects you will encounter the most here. So, don’t forget to carry repellent creams and other measures as instructed by your trekking guide.   Terrain   The habitats of Teton National Park are the most versatile. However, for a hiker, the change of habitats every 4-5 miles is a major problem. Suppose you just passed a rock wall going up vertically, and the next moment, you are at a cliff that drops dramatically.   Even the woods in the park are quite tricky to walk through. The trails are filled with small and gigantic trees. You can easily cross the smaller trees. However, a hiker can easily get hurt when they have to jump over a huge trunk or climb a tree.  Further, boulder fields in the park do not look like a threat usually. However, accidents and injuries can happen at the most unexpected times. The boulders can roll down, block tracks, and cause casualties. So, always be aware of your ability and skill before you attempt hiking the 250 miles of trails the park has to offer.   Moreover, the talus slopes and the snow-clad mountains are perilous if you are not prepared with your gear. These areas have high sliding risks and the chances of false stepping. The smartest way here is to look for a level ground trail that takes you to the accessible parts of the park.  How To Remain Safe At Grand Teton National Park?  The National Park Service has detailed guidelines to ensure safety in the Grand Teton National Park. Before you start exploring this park, you must get all the instructions right at a visitor center. In addition, you can ask questions to get clarification from the rangers before you access various parts of the park.  The table below shows how you need to maintain safety during various outdoor activities or just while exploring the national park.  Concerns How To Remain Safe Climbing Mountains and Hiking Solo hiking is risky in Grand Teton National Park.  Further, you must hike on the established trails. Otherwise, you may have to face soil erosion.  Be particular about your hiking boots, axes, crampons, and other accessories.   Learn about route conditions and weather from a climbing ranger at the Jenny Lake Ranger Station.  Backcountry Safety Maintain good physical endurance. Be sure to use proper equipment and gear.  Prevention Of Human-Caused Fire  Fireworks and pyrotechnic devices are not allowed in the park.  You must be responsible for properly extinguishing and disposing of your cigarettes or pipes.  In addition, you are only allowed to light a campfire at a designated site. You must tend to the fire and make sure that it is extinguished as you leave.  Bacteria And Other Microorganism Transmission You must boil water collected from a stream or lake for at least 3-5 minutes, or you can use treatment tablets to avoid transmission of microorganisms.   Campylobacter and Giardia are common bacteria found in untreated water in the park.  Hantavirus Pulmonary Syndrome (Lesser Risks) Stay away from deer mice and their feces.  Driving Wear seatbelt.  Understand road conditions.  Be watchful of animals.   Maintain the speed limit of 45 mph on the highway at night and other speed limits throughout the day.  Exploring Wildlife Maintain a minimum of 300 feet distance from wolves and bears.   Further, the distance between you and any wild animal should be at least 75 feet.  Also, you must not try to feed any wild animal.  Moreover, make sure that you are not in between the mother and her cubs.  Boating You must wear a life jacket all the time.  Further, check out the bulletin boards before you start boating for the day.  You must carry a patch kit, air pump, and bucket for bailing if you are riding in an inflatable boat.   Moreover, boaters in the Snake River must be extra careful.  Biking You must not bike on trails. Roadways and pathways are suitable for biking.  In a single file, stick to the right side of the road.  Further, wear helmets and communicate with other drivers through hand gestures.  Lightning  Avoid exploring the park during afternoon storms in the summer.  Further, try to reach the shore quickly when it starts raining, or the wind is rough.  Also, know the basics of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) guidelines.   In addition, the National Park Service has a separate guideline regarding bear safety. The first step begins with the identification of the beer. Also, if you notice a beer at any site in the national park, you must immediately inform the ranger station or the visitor center.   Final Words   We surely don’t want something similar to the Joy Cho death at Grand Teton National Park to repeat. Along with being respectful to your wildlife and following the safety guidelines, you will also have to be smart enough to know your boundaries. The tempting landscape of the park and the magnificent Grand Teton Mountain will inspire you. However, you must check your experience and expertise first.  Climbing high and steep terrains needs skills such as route-finding and rock climbing, along with excellent physical and mental endurance. Again, acclimatization and finding a knowledgeable trekking partner (for beginners) are crucial.  So, follow the safety guidelines and enjoy a delightful tour of the national park. Don’t forget to carry the trekking poles or walking sticks, by the way!   Also read Top 10 Most Popular Paraguay Food That You Must Try. Breaking news, biden plans foreign farewell tour with stops on multiple continents after vow to finish up his presidency strong.

WASHINGTON — President Biden is considering extensive international travel during his final four months in office – with possible stops in Europe, Africa and South America.

Biden, 81, is widely expected to attend a pair of international summits in South America shortly after the Nov. 5 election — but NBC News reported Thursday that he’s also considering October trips to Germany and at least one stop in sub-Saharan Africa.

“The team is pulling together options,” an official told the outlet.

Biden’s potential lame-duck tour during the final stretch of the election campaign would serve to divert some press attention from the race between Republican nominee Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris, with whom Biden has co-hosted some events .

President Biden is expected to take a break from campaigning for Kamala Harris with an October trip abroad.

The outgoing incumbent has pledged to visit Africa while in office, and the trip to Germany could serve to underscore his desired legacy as a leader of the NATO alliance in resisting Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

The South America tour would include stops at the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation conference in Lima, Peru, Nov. 10-16.

Biden has had a notably light schedule since dropping his bid for a second term on July 21.

The annual G-20 summit of leaders of the world’s top economies is being held Nov. 18-19 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Biden could meet with Chinese President Xi Jinping at one or both of those summits.

A Xi meeting would bookend a relationship that was controversial due to two Biden family business relationships with Chinese state-linked firms — as well as Xi’s refusal to cooperate with investigations into the origins of COVID-19, which killed more than 1 million Americans after possibly leaking from a lab, and his failure to stop exports of fentanyl, which killed more than 223,000 US residents in the first three years of Biden’s administration, according to  preliminary federal data.

White House spokespeople did not confirm or deny plans for a grand tour before Biden heads to Delaware for retirement on Jan. 20.

Biden could meet with Chinese President Xi Jinping at post-election summits in South America.

“As he has since his first day in office, President Biden will continue to strengthen our alliances and partnerships with countries around the world, meeting with foreign leaders and advancing our efforts to make us all safer and more secure,” National Security Council spokesman Sean Savett told The Post.

“His foreign policy agenda is very full, focusing on securing a cease-fire and hostage release deal to end the war in Gaza and de-escalate tensions in the Middle East, continuing to support Ukraine in its defense against Russian aggression, addressing the challenges posed by the People’s Republic of China, and bolstering our relationships across the international sphere to create real opportunities for the American people, advance American strength and security, and tackle global threats of the future.”

President Biden is expected to take a break from campaigning for Kamala Harris with an October trip abroad.

Pope Francis, 87, appears sprightly after health troubles as epic Asia trip gets underway with Indonesia visit

By Anna Matranga

September 4, 2024 / 9:51 AM EDT / CBS News

Jakarta, Indonesia —  Pope Francis appeared in good health and good humor Wednesday on the first full day of what will be a marathon trip for the 87-year-old leader of the Catholic Church to Southeast Asia and Oceania. Over 12 days, Francis is scheduled to travel more than 20,000 miles and visit four countries — Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, East Timor and Singapore.

It is scheduled to be the longest and most challenging trip of Francis' 11-year papacy. He has suffered health issues over the past few years and now uses a wheelchair.

The Vatican said no special precautions were being taken for this trip, but, as usual, Francis was traveling with a doctor and two nurses.

Speaking with CBS Evening News anchor and managing editor Norah O'Donnell in May, Francis said the idea of stepping down had never occurred to him, and he described his health as "fine" despite a recent bout with the flu  and two rounds of  intestinal surgery . The pope has also had only one full  lung  since undergoing surgery as a young man in Argentina, leaving him susceptible to respiratory illness.

In his first speech in Indonesia, the world's most populous Muslim country, Francis condemned religious extremism, saying it distorted religion by using deception and violence.

"There are times when faith can be manipulated to foment divisions and increase hatred," the pope told Indonesian politicians and religious leaders gathered at the presidential palace in Jakarta. He urged them to fight religious intolerance through dialogue.

"In this way," he said, "prejudices can be eliminated, and a climate of mutual respect and trust can grow."

Religious freedom is protected by the Indonesian constitution and the country prides itself on its diversity and tolerance, but Islamic fundamentalism has made inroads, and there have been incidents of religious violence in recent years.

Pope Francis Visits Papua New Guinea, Timor-Leste and Singapore

Francis also met Wednesday with Indonesian Catholic priests and nuns at the cathedral in Jakarta, offering words of encouragement and support.

On Thursday, Francis is scheduled to celebrate mass in Jakarta with the country's Catholics, a tiny but vibrant minority of barely 3% of the population. The Asia Pacific region is one of the few areas of the world where Catholicism is growing, both in terms of baptized faithful and in vocations.

The pope is also expected to meet Thursday with Indonesia's top Muslim leader, and the two will sign a joint declaration on humanitarian and environmental issues, and religious tolerance.

MLB's travel plans for '24: Seoul, Mexico City, London, D.R.

David Adler

David Adler

The MLB World Tour is coming to four international destinations in 2024: London, Mexico City, Seoul and Santo Domingo.

The Seoul Series will be the opener of the 2024 MLB regular season -- and will mark the first MLB regular-season games ever played in Korea.

Major League Baseball and the MLB Players Association announced the full plans for the four series on Wednesday.

• Seoul Series: Dodgers vs. Padres, March 20-21 (MLB season opener) • Mexico City Series: Astros vs. Rockies, April 27-28 • London Series: Mets vs. Phillies, June 8-9 • Dominican Republic Series: Red Sox vs. Rays, March 9-10 (Spring Training)

• MLB international

"Major League Baseball is incredibly excited for this extensive slate of international games in 2024," Commissioner Rob Manfred said. "Our recent efforts have produced strong enthusiasm around the globe, and we look forward to building on that foundation with returns to Mexico City and London, while also opening the season in Korea for the first time. In addition, we can’t wait to celebrate the tradition of the sport in the Dominican Republic with our visit to Santo Domingo next March. We are thrilled that our fans across four different countries outside the United States and Canada will have the opportunity to see the game’s stars."

The MLB World Tour schedule for next year includes the return of games to the United Kingdom and Mexico for a second consecutive season, after the 2023 London Series between the Cubs and Cardinals and Mexico City Series between the Giants and Padres, in addition to new stops in Korea and the Dominican Republic.

“Players have a deep interest in growing baseball around the world. No matter where they come from, players are linked by a passion for our game that transcends different languages, cultures, and nationalities,” said Tony Clark, the executive director of the MLB Players Association. “The series announced today will allow fans around the globe to gain a first-hand appreciation for the unmatched skill and infectious enthusiasm players display every time they go to work. We are excited to expand our international presence in new communities and celebrate the game we all love.”

Here's a look at each of the four international series in 2024.

Seoul Series

The Dodgers and Padres will open up the 2024 season with two games in Korea from March 20-21.

The Seoul Series will mark the ninth time that the MLB season has opened outside the 50 U.S. states and Canada, and the first time in five years. Previous international openers include:

• 1999 -- Monterrey, Mexico (Rockies vs. Padres) • 2000 -- Tokyo, Japan (Mets vs. Cubs) • 2001 -- San Juan, Puerto Rico (Rangers vs. Blue Jays) • 2004 -- Tokyo, Japan (Rays vs. Yankees) • 2008 -- Tokyo, Japan (Red Sox vs. A's) • 2012 -- Tokyo, Japan (A's vs. Mariners) • 2014 -- Sydney, Australia (Dodgers vs. D-backs) • 2019 -- Tokyo, Japan (A's vs. Mariners)

It will be the Dodgers' first international games since they played the Padres in Mexico in 2018, and their second Opening Day abroad after the 2014 season opener in Australia.

"The Dodgers have a long and proud history of helping to grow the game abroad, highlighted by our trips to Mexico, China and Australia. It's very exciting to add Korea to the list," Dodgers president Stan Kasten said. "I know our players are thrilled to put their talents on display in a country so rich with baseball tradition and talent, including former Dodgers Chan Ho Park, Hee-Seop Choi and Hyun Jin Ryu."

The Padres will be playing internationally for a second straight season, but in a new country, going from the 2023 Mexico City Series to the 2024 Seoul Series. Like the Dodgers, they've also played abroad on Opening Day before, in the inaugural international season opener back in 1999.

"Korea is a great baseball country with a rich tradition, passionate fans, and talented players, including current Padre and San Diego fan favorite Ha-Seong Kim," Padres CEO Erik Greupner said. "The Padres are proud to serve alongside the Dodgers as global ambassadors for the game of baseball with our historic 2024 Korea Series."

Mexico City Series

The second Mexico City Series will feature the Astros and Rockies for a pair of games on April 27 and 28, almost exactly a year after this season's inaugural Mexico City Series.

Both Houston and Colorado last played internationally in Mexico, but in Monterrey, not Mexico City. The Astros played two regular-season games against the Angels there in 2019, and the Rockies played an exhibition series against the D-backs that same year.

The Astros have played exhibition games in Mexico City before, in 2016 against the Padres and 2004 against the Marlins.

London Series

The London Series returns for its third edition overall, with the Mets and Phillies facing off at London Stadium on June 8 and 9.

The Mets will be playing abroad for the first time since 2010, when they faced the Marlins in Puerto Rico. But they're no stranger to international games, having participated in both MLB's first-ever international regular season games in 1996 in Mexico and MLB's first-ever regular-season games in Japan in 2000.

• 2024 London Series will feature NL East rivalry in Mets-Phils

"Interest in baseball is growing all over the world, and to bring the Mets' 'never-say-die' attitude to sports fans in London is a tremendous honor," Mets owner Steve Cohen said. "Our Queens family is ready to show London a great time with exciting baseball and amazing experiences that create new fans and build the Mets community throughout the United Kingdom."

The Phillies have never played regular-season games internationally, and have left the U.S. and Canada only once, over 50 years ago, for a pair of exhibition games against the Pirates in San Juan in 1977.

"Major League Baseball has done an excellent job of expanding its footprint internationally, and we are honored to play a role in that effort as part of the 2024 London Series," Phillies managing partner John Middleton said. "This will be a wonderful opportunity to showcase our players' talents and highlight the excitement that comes with a Phillies-Mets matchup for our fans in the UK and for those who have never attended a baseball game."

Dominican Republic Series

In addition to the three international regular-season series planned for in 2024, the Red Sox and Rays will play a Spring Training series in Santo Domingo at Estadio Quisqueya from March 9-10.

"This unique opportunity builds on our long-standing connection to the Dominican Republic and allows us to celebrate the remarkable talents and rich cultural heritage of a country whose passion for the game has distinctly shaped our organization," Red Sox president Sam Kennedy said. "From the players who have passed through our Dominican Republic Academy to those who have helped us win championships, we have been fortunate to witness the profound impact of Dominican players within our game, and we are thrilled to be able to bring Red Sox baseball to such a vibrant baseball community next year."

Exhibition games are also a key part of the MLB World Tour, which includes up to 16 exhibition games being played internationally between 2023 and ‘26, as well as up to 24 regular-season games spanning Asia, Europe and Latin America.
