Taylor Swift and Hayley Williams eras tour paramore europe opening act

European Taylor Swift fans won’t have to look closely at the fine print on a grid to figure out who will be opening for her on which nights on the “ Eras Tour ” next year, as American fans did this year. Swift revealed Wednesday that Paramore will be preceding her on stage for her entire European tour.

Additionally, she announced that 14 shows have been added to the lineup, all representing second, third, fourth or even sixth nights in cities that were already on the itinerary for May through August of 2024.

While it’s now known that Paramore will provide direct support for Swift’s entire run in Europe, that still leaves open the question of whether there will be a third artist on the bill in all those venues and, if so, who.

Sabrina Carpenter was recently announced as the opening act for Swift’s shows in Melbourne, Sydney and Singapore, which take place Feb. 16 through March 9 of 2024. Carpenter will also be opening for Swift’s Latin American shows in late August through late November of this year.

Swift’s U.S. tour is far from done, not wrapping up till an Aug. 9 finale at the L.A. area’s SoFi Stadium. Abrams, Haim, Gayle, Muna and Owenn are among the opening acts in the coming U.S. dates.

Swift’s new album, “Speak Now (Taylor’s Version),” comes out Thursday night.

Paramore is an American rock band formed in Franklin, Tennessee in 2004. With a pop punk and alternative rock sound, the band has released four albums as of April 2013.

Home-schooled teenage vocalist Hayley Williams was signed to Atlantic Records in 2003 as a pop singer, but she despised the clichĂ© and insisted instead on venturing into the alternative rock genre. With friends Josh and Zac Farro, Jeremy Davis, and Jason Bynem, Williams convinced John Janick of smaller record label Fueled by Ramen to sign them as a band. Paramore’s first album “All I Know is Falling” came out on 26 July 2005. The single “Pressure” was Paramore’s debut single, which gained some airplay on the radio waves. However, the band’s name earned major exposure through concert performances, especially at the Warped Tour 2006, winning “Best New Band.”

Paramore’s second album “RIOT!” came out in January 2007, with single “Misery Business” airing in June 2007. The group made their cinematic debut with singles “Decode” and “I Caught Myself” appearing on the movie “Twilight”’s soundtrack. By this time, Paramore had become a major name in alt rock music, with Williams’ fiery red locks as their signature. John Mayer complimented the singer’s voice and named her the “great orange hope.”

The band’s most successful album “Brand New Eyes” was released in 2009 and eventually became certified gold. The single “Ignorance” peaked at #1 on the UK Rock Chart and song “The Only Exception” received significant airplay in the U.S. Paramore began touring alongside major artists like Green Day, No Doubt, and Jimmy Eat World.

Due to a difference in opinion about management, brothers Josh and Zac Farro left the band in 2010. Jeremy Davis stayed on as guitarist and Taylor York as guitarist and percussionist.

Self-titled album “Paramore” came out on 4 April 2013. The single “Ain’t It Fun” was released in February 2014 and is the band’s most successful song played on the radio in the U.S. The band has cited New Found Glory, Jimmy Eat World, U2, and Blink- 182 as influences. Although she doesn’t agree, Hayley Williams has been compared to singers like Avril Lavigne and Kelly Clarkson for her stunning vocal ability and girl power as goddess of rock.

Live reviews

Thanks for the Memories BECAUSE THEY WERE SO GREAT | Monumentour 2014:

On August the 2nd, 2014, with a full bladder and a happy heart I arrived at the Austin360 amphitheater to live out a dream – See Fall Out Boy perform live.

After a brief visit to a way-too-hot Port O Potty and a little loss of dignity, that dream was well on its way to becoming true.

I’m sad to say that I missed the opening band (New Politics). I’m going to go ahead and put the blame for that one on my mom. She’s perpetually late to everything. And yes, that’s right ladies and gents, I do indeed go to concerts with my mom. She can hang 10x better than most people I know and we have virtually the same taste in music. Anyways, after finding our seats (because this was a seated venue which, *annoyed sigh*, we’ll get into another time) it was time for the second band to take the stage. And let me tell you, they made themselves known by firing confetti guns that nearly gave me a heart attack. FOUR TIMES. FOUR MINI HEART ATTACKS. I suppose I should probably tell you that the confetti firing band was Paramore. Maybe you’ve heard of them? Oh, who am I kidding? Everyone knows Paramore, and for good reason.

They’re music is totally energetic and now I can vouch that their performances are too. From the synchronized head banging during Misery Business to the cheesy “we’re all a family” speech, there wasn’t one boring moment during their set. They played both older and newer songs, keeping up the energy and excitement the whole time. Hayley and the boys are so cute when they interact. I have this fantasy that they eat pizza rolls and watch The Simpsons together when they’re not touring. Also, my crush on bassist, Jeremy Davis, only increased when I saw his dance moves. AND THE TATTOOS. MY GOODNESS.

Next up was a music video interlude which I am totally all for. Then, we all went home. JUST KIDDING. After the music videos, the stage lights were dimmed, a creepy voice started talking about fears, and from the center of the platform, four glorious human beings arose. Fall Out Boy started their performance by playing The Phoenix and from there played incredible song after incredible song (because that’s the only kind of song they write). They even did a Queen cover at one point and that is always okay in my book.

I have a lot of feelings about this band. I’ve been a fan since the days of guyliner (ehem, Pete) and novels-for-song titles. On one hand, they make me feel totally hardcore because of their bangin music but on the other hand, I feel like a gigantic puddle of fangirl because they’re all really adorable. I mean, at a certain angle, Joe looks like Patrick Dempsey circa Can’t Buy Me Love, and then you’ve got the precious teddy bear on drums. Andy wore a stoic, almost grumpy, face of concentration for most of the show only to smile and melt my heart at the end.

Next you have the ball of cheese that is Pete. He did most of the talking throughout the performance and the lil’ cutie spewed clichĂ© after clichĂ© about following your dreams and “choosing your own fucking happiness” and it was glorious.

Do I even need to explain Patrick’s preciousness? I swear, he and Johnny Depp are the only two people in the world who can work a fedora. I just want to hug him and cuddle him and kiss him gently on the forehead AND THEN HE HAD TO GO AND DO A THING LIKE BREAK OUT HIS DRUM SKILLS. Hot damn. He and Andy did an incredible drum sesh/ mash up thing with Jay Z’s 99 Problems. Super cool.

Overall, Fall Out Boy performed so well. I’m just sad I haven’t seen them perform live sooner. They seem like amazing people and they deserve every single fan that filled up the crowd.

I've been listening to Paramore since I was just a little girl in the 4th grade and I'm going into the 11th grade this year! So Paramore has a special place in my heart and I would be lying if I said I wasn't worried that they were going to disappoint me at the concert. They didn't though, not even one bit! My experience with bigger bands is that the fame has gotten to their heads and made them less wanting to be there and more wanting to get the show over with. Paramore (or Fall Out Boy, whom they played with, for that matter) didn't do that at all.

Paramore, no doubt, had a rough time when they lost most of their founding members. Even Hayley Williams admitted that she didn't know if they would last as a band but here they are, 10 years after Paramore was created making great music!

Hayley Williams was so interactive with the crowd that it felt like a small show rather then a big one. There was even a few moments when I got teary-eyed especially when she dedicated The Only Exception to all the people in the crowd who'd never been to a Paramore show. Her energy was positively contagious as she smiled happily and bounced around the stage.

When we reached the part of the show where she brings one special guy or gal on the stage to sing the bridge to Misery Business, I found myself laughing the whole time. A very lucky blue hair lad got the crowd pumped with his great performance.

There were so many great songs that were performed that I couldn't even tell you which one was my favorite. The set list included fan favorites such as Still Into You, Ain't It Fun, Misery Business, Brick By Boring Brick (my personal favorite), Last Hope, and many more!

I hope that everyone who's ever fallen in love with this band gets to go, I know I never thought I would. I will never forget this experience.

Paramore at Darien Lake; needless to say "WHOA!" The concert started at 7pm, but the band didn't come hopping in until maybe 20 minutes after the openers set. Although it was still day outside (and all the way back in the lawn seats), nothing could deter the eyes of when the vibrant blue hair of Hayley Williams came out on the stage.

One of the many great things about Paramore is, they just don't bring the energy; they bring their love for the fans out. Hayley talked about the first time they came to Buffalo as a sister band. I think she said 2005 was when they started; she cracked jokes about how the band was still too young so their parents had to drive them there. She asked who was here to see them play their first time in Buffalo, and then she asked for the fans to raise their hands if this was their first time seeing them. During Misery Business, she brought up a few friends (aka fans, but friends to Paramore; which I thought was just so awesome of them to do) whom where there for Paramore's first concert in our city.

Not too many bands appreciate their fans, and make strives to make their fans feel like they belong. If anyone feels alone, like music is letting you down. I recommend Paramore to bring back your faith in music. They care. They love you. They welcome everyone. They want you to participate in their energy they bring to the concert, as much as you want them to. Paramore and their fans are a huge family. Hayley, Jeremy, and Taylor would gladly have their arms open at anytime to bring you in for a big pop/punk/rock hug.

If there's a concert with them in your area, I'd say "Get those tickets quick, this is an atmosphere you don't want to miss!"

I went to a Paramore and Fallout Boy concert on July 8th, 2014. I had a truly wonderful time. and maybe just because I really do love Paramore, but it was pretty obvious that everybody around me was having a fantastic time as well. I have never seen such a small venue (the DTE Music Center in Clarkston, Michigan) be so packed with people Who are so happy to see these performers perform. Paramore was full of energy and they really brought their all to this performance.

Miss Hayley Williams (the lead singer of Paramore) was very Interactive with the audience and she talked to us in between almost every song. She encouraged us to sing along and almost everyone did. What I thought was most special about this Paramore show was how she asked a fan to come up on stage and sing "Misery Business" with her. She was so encouraging and it looked like that girl had a lot of fun and I can't blame her. Miss Hayley Williams danced with the guitarist and it looked like she was having a lot of fun too.

This performance was part of the monument tour which is being persued by Fall Out Boy and Paramore. This tour marks 10 years of Paramore being a band, and I think that's pretty great. The music was great and the energy was awesome. Hayley Williams really is an amazing vocalist and her two guitarists are very talented as well. She also credited the people who are not officially in Paramore but were definitely helping with all of music on stage and the techies off stage. bottom line this was a phenomenal concert and even if you dont like Paramore music I would still encourage you to go.

Now having seen Paramore six times, I may be a little biased, but they do put on one of the best shows I’ve seen. And their time on the Monumentour was no different. Not only is their music great to jump around and head bang to, but it also has beautiful lyrics and messages. There is just something special about this band.

For those of you who know about Paramore, you know the band has been through a lot in the past few years. But (thankfully) that has not stopped them. I believe it has actually made them stronger. Their latest self-titled album, I believe, has been their best yet. It still has the same Paramore sound but at the same time you can hear their growth.

It can also be seen in their shows. Hayley Williams is amazing. She is even better live than on their records. She is also a bundle of energy, running and jumping around the stage. Plus Taylor York and Jeremy Davis kill it on guitar and bass. They all just seem to fit together so perfectly. They really love what they do. Not to mention, the lights, confetti cannons and huge balloons were pretty cool too!

However, what made this show was the message. When Hayley speaks in between songs, you want to listen. Her message is always positive and uplifting. It's not like she is some celebrity talking on stage. It's like you’re just hanging out with one of your friends.

To sum it up, if you want to go to a great concert with dancing and rockin’ out and leave feeling on cloud nine, go see a Paramore show.

Paramore and Fall out boy. One of the best nights of my life! We were able to have the great opportunity of meeting Paramore given to us by their crew. The concert was so interactive and I found myself dancing along and belting my heart out with Hayley.

My favorite part was when they took a girl on stage and let her sing Misery Business with them. She was actually really good!! Then at the end of the show the drummer threw his drum sticks and the guitarist threw his pick. I caught the drum stick! All in all there were many souvenirs I could take home and fawn over for the rest of my life.

The band has had some really rough times and a crazy amount of drama but they were able to learn from that and make some of their best and most popular songs yet. They are getting a lot of recognition now and they definitely deserve it. I would say their music was originally punk rock but now it is forming to be more of a pop punk.

Even if you have never heard of them I encourage you to buy tickets to their show. Look at some of their songs on iTunes, bring a friend and I guarantee you will have a surprising but enjoyable time. Something that one member of the opening act (New Politics) said really interested me. He said all you need is good music and good company in life to have a good time. So come on down to the Monument tour and you won't regret it.

andersolex’s profile image

This is the third time I've seen this wonderful band but the first time I've actually paid to see them exclusively. The other two were at festivals.

What you see with Hayley Williams and her merry crew is what you get. A powerful, energetic, sometimes outrageous performance. The music they wrote in their first three albums contributes heavily to this. They made lively punk-pop music and their shows reflect that.

But something changed this time around. Paramore's most recent piece of work, After Laughter, completely changes direction from what they're historically used to providing. While it's a solid album in its own right, it doesn't blend well with the old stuff.

So the group has made a similar switch in their live shows. Two songs from RIOT!, one from Brand New Eyes, nothing from All We Know Is Falling in the setlist. After Laughter was played almost in its entirety, turning this more into a pop concert than a punk one.

Don't get me wrong, Hayley and crew still provide a great night of entertainment and their audiences are equally as explosive. It's just now expectations need to be managed accordingly. For some, this is the end of the line. For me? I'm not sure. But if you come looking for one of the best rock acts on the planet, you may leave feeling a little disappointed.

Talk about the best night of my life, Paramore was the greatest concert I could have ever imagined! Not only was she AMAZING live to listen to but she was so energetic and fun to watch on stage that it made me even more excited to be in the crowd. She talked to everyone in between songs but was hysterical so I didn't mind at all, and really made reference to Detroit so she made it personal.

But the funniest thing she did was play Misery Business-I almost cried because she performed it so perfectly-but right before the big head banger of the song she stopped! And said "gotcha!" It was funny because everyone was throwing their heads back and forth to the beat even though the music stopped haha.

But she then continued to pick a random girl from the audience and announced that it was this girls show for the next three minutes, and let her sing the rest of the song with her on stage! I could not believe it, she made a fans dream come true by bringing her on stage to sing her most classic song. What I would have given to be that girl!

In the future I plan to go to any Paramore concert that comes to town because I could never get tired of seeing her live!

The first time I saw Paramore live was in 2009. Since then, I have seen them seven more times, and every time it is better than the last.

Hands down, they put on the best show I have ever seen. Not only do they sound better than they do on their albums, the energy is through the roof. You can tell that they really put effort into making sure every single person in the audience is having the time of their lives.

Whether I'm in the front row, or up on the balcony I still feel engaged. I was used to them playing theaters like the Wiltern or Palladium but I loved seeing them just as much at The Honda Center. My favorite time seeing them was at the Wiltern though because I got to meet them before the show, plus during my favorite song ("Ain't It Fun") Hayley pointed at me for a second! That's just one of the many ways she, Taylor and Jeremy interact with the crowd. You can tell that the three of them are best friends getting to do what they love. Not to mention they're some of the nicest human beings I've ever met.

I never let the opportunity to see them when they are in town pass me by and neither should you.

Absolutely amazing. I was standing and I was very close to the front. The whole stage presence of the band was incredible and Hayley Williams especially connected so well with the audience. I was looking foward to this show since September, and God was it worth the wait. I’ve seen a lot of bands in my life, but they are right up there with the likes of Iron Maiden, Bon Jovi and Guns n Roses. If all the concerts I’ve been to, this just might be my favourite yet.

And when Hayley chose someone from the crowd to come up on stage and sing Misery Buisness I was jumping as high as I could shouting “ Pick me, pick me!”. Although I was not picked, it didn’t matter, it was still in my eyes, the best band I’ve seen yet. Unfortunately I’m only 15 but if I could drive, I would’ve booked tickets for another show that same night.

Being able to jump and sing to songs like Still into You, Misery Buisness, Ignorance and That’s what you Get was an experience I could not have imagined to be any better. Thank you for an amazing show Paramore. I’ll see you next time

Grammy award-winning band Paramore has lauded fans with hits for nearly two decades, rising in popularity after their first hit single, Misery Business, in 2007. But Paramore's 2024 tour schedule looks a little different as the group opens for the European leg of the Taylor Swift Eras Tour. That puts the lead singer, Hayley Williams, guitarist Taylor York, and drummer Zac Farro traveling across Europe with Swift.

Paramore's opening act is estimated to last around 40 minutes and includes seven of the band's biggest hits across every album, including All We Know is Falling, Brick by Boring Brick, and This is Why.

For longtime listeners, seeing Paramore in concert in 2024 isn't easy. Original tickets for the Eras Tour sold out quickly, and Paramore hasn't yet announced any other concert dates for 2024. But thankfully for fans, verified resale tickets from StubHub and Vivid Seats for the European dates for The Eras Tour tend to be more affordable than the U.S. dates, where Gracie Abrams is listed as the only opening act, though dates are running out. Fans willing to travel can see both Paramore and Taylor Swift in concert, with tickets ranging from a few hundred dollars to a few thousand. Here's how to buy Paramore concert tickets in 2024.

Paramore 2024 tour schedule

Paramore will open for the European leg of the Taylor Swift Eras tour, with tour dates slated through August 2024 in multiple countries.

Paramore is opening for the European leg of the Taylor Swift Eras Tour , which has already sold out.

While original tickets are sold out, Paramore fans can still see Taylor and opener Paramore by picking up tickets from verified resellers such as Vivid Seats or StubHub . Ticket prices vary wildly, from just a few hundred dollars to a few thousand, depending on the location's popularity and factors like how many tickets are left and where the seats are located.

Fans should pay attention to any restrictions for that particular tour date, as some events are limited to concertgoers over the age of 14.

While Taylor Swift tickets are in high demand, the European leg of her Eras tour has significantly cheaper tickets than US dates, which start at around $2,600. That's good news for Paramore fans, as the band has only been confirmed for the European locations of the tour.

Fans can expect to spend between $275 and $2,340 for general admission seats to opener Paramore and headliner Taylor Swift. Reseller tickets vary based on the number of tickets remaining and where the seat is located, which means prices can differ significantly between different outlets like StubHub and Vivid Seats.

Prices for floor standing-room-only tickets and VIP suites will also be significantly higher than those for upper-tier seats if fans are lucky enough to find the coveted seats for sale.

Who is opening for Taylor Swift's Eras tour?

Paramore is opening for the European dates of the pop artist Taylor Swift's Eras Tour. Paramore is scheduled to play nine songs in a set lasting around 40 minutes before the headliner Swift takes the stage.

Paramore is only scheduled for the European dates, with Gracie Abrams listed as the opening act for Taylor's North American Eras tour dates this fall.

While the Taylor Swift Eras Tour is scheduled to hit multiple continents, Paramore has only been confirmed as the opening act for the European leg of the tour. The dates in the US and Canada list Gracie Abrams as the opener.

Paramore has not yet announced any 2024 concerts outside the Eras Tour opening act, which means the band hasn't announced any US concerts for 2024 yet.

Paramore's setlist for Taylor Swift's Eras tour 2024 in full

Paramore's setlist for Taylor Swift's Eras Tour is insanely good, though to be honest we'd expect nothing less from Hayley Williams and the gang.

The American rock band responsible for classics such as Misery Business and Still Into You will join Taylor Swift for all of her European shows on The Eras Tour this summer 2024, with them having opened for her yesterday (9 May) at the tour's first date in Paris’ La Defense Arena.

At the opening night of her European tour, Swift also debuted a revised setlist featuring a whopping 46 songs spanning her impressive 18-year career. This picks up from her original Eras Tour setlist she toured with previously in order to slot in some of her newest hits from The Tortured Poets Department, with added songs including new favourites such as The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived and But Daddy, I Love Him .

Paramore's setlist for Taylor Swift's Eras tour 2024 in full

But fans who managed to secure tickets to the highly coveted European leg of the 2024 Eras tour will not only be treated this stellar lineup of Taylor Swift's best and biggest hits, but they'll also get to enjoy nine quintessential Paramore songs beforehand too.

In addition to supporting Tay Tay on her Europe Eras tour, the band also opened for the hitmaker's first two shows in Glendale, Arizona, though vitally their setlist has since been changed.

So what will the Paramore setlist for the European Eras Tour shows look like and how long do they play for? Here's exactly what you can expect.

Swifties have some thoughts.

How long is Paramore's Eras Tour setlist?

Comprised of nine songs with a runtime of 40 minutes, Paramore's setlist is made up of their best loved hits, new and old. While the length of the setlist is the same as their Glendale dates, three songs have been swapped from the original set.

Does Taylor Swift sing with Hayley Williams on The Eras Tour?

While Hayley Williams didn't join Taylor on stage for the opening night of The Eras Tour in Paris, given that we have a good few dates left to go on the European tour we remain hopeful. In our humble opinion it would make sense for the pair to perform their Castles Crumbling duet together for future shows, so let's see!

We've been loving Taylor for quite some time, time, time.

Paramore

Get ready, North America — Paramore is coming. On Friday (Nov. 4), bandmates Hayley Williams, Taylor York and Zac Farro announced plans to embark on an arena tour in 2023, with shows in 26 cities across the United States and Canada.

Here Are the Artists Opening for Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour: Paramore, Phoebe Bridgers & More

Trending on billboard.

Fans have until Monday (Nov. 7) to register for both presales on Ticketmaster’s website . A portion of ticket sales for all North American shows will be donated to eco-conscious hunger relief nonprofit Support + Feed and environmental nonprofit REVERB.

The tour will follow the Feb. 10 release of Paramore’s sixth studio album This Is Why , the band’s first LP in almost six years. The record’s lead single — which doubles as the title track — dropped in September .

The “This Is Why” era comes after Paramore took a nearly five-year hiatus from releasing music and performing. The trio made their official return to touring this fall with a run of intimate North American shows, their first circuit since 2017’s After Laughter Tour.

When Paramore revealed they were recording together in January 2022 the response from music fans around the world was immediate and celebratory. In the time since the Grammy-winning, RIAA-certified multi-Platinum band released their last album,  After Laughter   – and Hayley Williams unveiled two lauded solo albums – Paramore have become more popular than ever.  Over the last few years Paramore’s influence and popularity has snowballed, as the age of streaming organically propelled them into a position as one of the world’s biggest, most culturally compelling rock bands. For the band, who formed as teenagers in Tennessee, their 20 year trajectory has seen them grow from youthful outsiders to bone-fide pop culture icons, permeating the musical landscape by inspiring a new generation of musical talent.Their forthcoming sixth album,  This Is Why  – set for release on  Atlantic Records  on  February 10th  –  is preceded by the title track, the most immediate radio hit of the band’s career to date.

Renowned for their arena-filling and festival-headlining performance prowess, the opportunity to see Paramore play their first theater shows in years created headline news. Their upcoming run of intimate live dates sold out in minutes. The band are donating a portion of their ticket sales to organizations working in areas of essential community support, including   Support & Feed.

Taylor Swift is lengthening her Eras Tour.

The music star took to Instagram on Wednesday to announce that 14 new dates have been added to her tour lineup, with Paramore joining as the opening act for the tour’s European shows. The dates extend nights in cities that were already on the schedule for May through next August with additional shows now including ones in Sweden, Portugal, Dublin, Amsterdam and more.

Paramore originally opened the first two nights of the U.S. Eras tour in Glendale, Arizona. The current U.S. leg of the Swift’s Eras Tour will continue through Aug. 9 at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles.

Sabrina Carpenter was previously announced as the opening act for Swift’s shows in Melbourne, Sydney and Singapore, which take place Feb. 16 through March 9, 2024. Carpenter will also open Swift’s Latin American shows.

The tour announcement comes amid the release of Swift’s next re-recorded album, Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) on Thursday night. Williams is featured on new “from the vault” track called “Castles Crumbling (Taylor’s Version).”

Long road to Taylor Swift: Dad (really) tried to get tickets. A year later, I saw ‘Eras Tour’ with Mom

Taylor swift ‘eras tour,’ the second leg, kicks off in miami, florida, in october 2024..

Editor’s note: In May 2023, Nick Pugliese, sports editor at The Palm Beach Post, attempted the ultimate #DadOfTheYear task: Show up at the Atlanta stadium with his daughter on the night of Taylor Swift’s “Eras Tour” concert there
and hope to buy two last-minute tickets. (Insert hopeful heartbeats here.)

Alas, there were none available, and while the night turned out to be an unforgettable father-daughter experience, complete with a TikTok Taylor Swift concert hack video from the Puglieses with more than 15,000 views, Victoria Pugliese struck gold a year later: She (finally) saw a Taylor Swift “Eras Tour” concert in Amsterdam — with her mom.

Below is Victoria Pugliese’s play-by-play of Taylor Swift’s “Eras Tour” concert in Amsterdam in July 2024, a love letter to Swifties from a Swiftie. It’s also a testament to what parents will do to give their kids “The Best Day.”

AMSTERDAM — Thirteen seconds left on the clock and that’s when it hit me: This is it, I made it.

Standing in the Johan Cruijff Arena with my mom and 68,000 other fans surrounding us, I watched the numbers count down on the screen until the clock hit zero. Screams filled my ears as tears began rolling down my face, the show just starting.

Need a break? Play the USA TODAY Daily Crossword Puzzle.

Now “the show” is an understatement for what we were about to witness. This was going to be life-changing for me, with months of planning and wishing finally coming to fruition.

Of course, I am referring to Taylor Swift ’s “The Eras Tour .”

Over the next three and a half hours, we would be hearing various songs from all of Swift’s albums (well almost all
sorry, “Debut”), all accompanied by fan chants and loud cheering. From her radio singles to the fan favorites, there would be something in the show for everyone. And I would sing and dance along during every ... single ... minute.

Hearing the words “It’s been a long time coming” during the opening number hit me hard. Like so many other Swifties, I was among the many fans who were waitlisted for the first leg of the U.S. tour dates. I desperately tried to find tickets for her Tampa shows and even flew up to Atlanta with my dad to see if we could get tickets, but had no luck.

More: How hard is it to see Taylor Swift concert? Ticket sites beat us, but TikTok hack helped

When the international shows were announced in July 2023, I applied for the Verified Fan process for several cities, including Dublin, London, and Amsterdam. Out of the seven I registered for, the latter was the only city I was chosen for during the presale.

So I got the tickets, almost an entire year in advance, to the second night of her shows in Amsterdam.

Nervous waiting in the hours leading up to Taylor Swift's 'Eras Tour' concert in Amsterdam

The day of the show, I couldn’t do anything. Shortly after waking up, I quickly filled out my Mastermind entry on Swift Alert for the show but that was it. We checked into our hotel within walking distance of the stadium and I just sat in the room, trying to process what was happening, where I was, and what I’d be experiencing later.

I was in an outfit inspired by “Ivy,” one of my favorite songs from her album, “Evermore.” My mom wore a colorful, sparkling dress that was similar to one of Taylor’s outfits from her “Reputation” stadium world tour. She had to help me place leaves in my braids as I was trying to breathe, my hands too shaky to place them nicely.

Once in our outfits, we had a quick stop at the hotel bar for a shot, then walked to the arena and found our section entrance. It wasn’t until we went through security and up the stairs where we received our light-up bracelets that I began to cry.

Once in our seats, I took pictures of the stage and then began one of my favorite parts of the show: trading friendship bracelets.

I will admit, I came slightly overprepared with over 100 bracelets. They took up the entire large pocket of my purse, but I knew I’d be giving the majority of them out. Of course with the bracelet trading came tons of compliments and conversation from other concertgoers, as we asked what each other’s favorite albums were or tried finding a bracelet that matched the other person’s outfit.

When the opening act Paramore began to take the stage, more people in dazzling outfits filled the seats around us. Many of us were singing along to the band’s songs and watching our clocks as the time between now and Taylor taking the stage began to narrow.

As the band exited the stage when their 40-minute set was over, the energy in the arena began to pick up. Soon, the familiar opening notes of Leslie Gore’s “You Don’t Own Me” played over the speakers and the screen slowly transitioned into a clock, counting down until the show began. Goosebumps spread over my arms and other fans began to cheer as we watched the seconds go by.

As the clock ticks down to zero, I have to remind myself to breathe in between my tears as the lights dim, the crowd begins to scream, and we begin to zoom into the clock on the screen.

Bracelets began to light up and the dancers began to walk out with their gigantic fans to start the tour, as we hear all of Taylor’s albums listed through a melody until we land on Lover, her seventh album and the opening era of the tour. The album came out in 2019 but never got a tour due to the pandemic, hence why many believe it kicks off the show.

The dancers placed the fans on the ground together as everyone freaked out. They lifted in unison and there she was.

Taylor Alison Swift .

To say I screamed was an understatement. Truthfully, I was hollering and loudly singing the entire show, and yes, my voice was raspy for the next two days. But the opening number built such an anticipation in me that with the adrenaline I had felt all day, I just screamed. And so did many others around me.

Taylor Swift opens Amsterdam show with 'Lover' set

We started into the Lover set and through songs of her hits of the era. Before performing the album’s titular track, Taylor always gives a speech to introduce the show and often welcomes the audience in the country’s native language. Now it truly felt like the show had begun.

Next is her “Fearless” set, which launches with the album’s title track and Taylor coming out with a guitar. Of course, the majority of the audience held their hands in the shape of hearts with Taylor just after the song’s bridge, a tradition that began during her Fearless tour in 2009. If people hadn’t been singing before, they were now, with “You Belong With Me” and “Love Story” following shortly after. The energy was high during this set; after all, it was her first Album Of The Year at the Grammy’s for a reason.

At this point, the order of the eras begins to differ from her U.S. shows. Before, we would be going into her “evermore” set but now it was time for the “Red” set. She kicks it off with “22” and the hat handoff with one of the crowd’s young Swifties. This fan-favorite moment has resulted in multiple viral videos of the kids reacting to Taylor as she makes her way to them at the end of the stage, often hugging them and taking one of their friendship bracelets, while they get the signed fedora Taylor is wearing.

Continuing through the set showcased other fun moments, including Taylor’s backup dancer Kameron Saunders telling us “in je dromen” (“in your dreams” in Dutch) during the bridge of “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together.” But of course, my favorite part of this era was singing along to “All Too Well (10 Minute Version)” with so many others passionately singing.

Next is the “Speak Now” era. And for my fellow “Speak Now” fans, the pain of only having one song during this era hurts a bit. But that being said, being able to sing “Enchanted” with Taylor in a sparkling gown and her dancers in beautiful purple dresses felt truly magical.

As we watched Taylor walk backstage and disappear, the energy began shifting as we entered her next era, “reputation.”

I’m a pretty big “reputation” fan. It grew on me a few years ago and is now one of my favorite albums. It’s grown to be a community favorite too, as the cheering in the arena began to swell as the snake visuals flashed across the screen before Taylor walked out in her red and black bodysuit (which always earns me a nice two points on Mastermind).

I knew this era would be fantastic, but hearing the transition from “Don’t Blame Me” into “Look What You Made Me Do” felt like a religious experience. It’s so simple but so good, which is why so many of us went berserk. Of course, the dancers appearing in some of Taylor’s former tour and music video outfits only add to the performance and thrill. And who can resist yelling out “Why? Oh, cause she’s dead!” during the song’s bridge? (Kanye West and the Kardashians probably).

'folklore,' 'evermore' condensed into one set on Taylor Swift European tour

Soon, it was time for my most anticipated era: “folkmore”, or the combined era of her two 2020 albums “folklore” and “evermore”. Up until she began her European leg, these two albums had their individual times in the setlist, but they were condensed into one era starting in Paris.

The “folklore” cabin rolled onto the stage as she began the era with “cardigan” in her bright pink outfit, and then went into “betty” before going over to the piano to begin “champagne problems.”

Taylor often talks about her experience creating these albums during the pandemic, specifically saying she was looking forward to performing this song live during her next tour when she was originally writing it. The song is emotional and grew to become a fan favorite when “evermore” was released, and has resulted in a challenge among concert attendees.

As the song wraps up, the crowds burst into a loud, long applause and we see how long we can go. Yes, this is the song that received the eight-minute standing ovation during one of her shows in Los Angeles last year. And while I knew we wouldn’t reach that time, I knew everyone would give their all.

The final notes of the song were played and the crowd began the cheers and screams. It slowly seemed to build as Taylor looked out to the crowd and smiled. Soon she stood up and took her earpieces out to hear us, which caused a loud burst of applause. We continued to clap and cheer until she thanked us and then continued the show with “august.” No, we didn’t go for eight minutes, but we hit three and got Taylor to take her earpieces out so I’d say that was a win.

Continuing through the set, I screamed during the bridge of “illicit affairs,” cried to “marjorie” and then was mesmerized by watching the orbs during “willow.” I would say that this was my favorite era, and I think it’s one of the most pleasing to see. It felt more mellow yet more emotional than the other eras.

Of course, the energy would begin to rise again as we transitioned into “1989.” It was filled with all of her hits from this era, starting with “Style” and ending with “Bad Blood.” And yes, there was a group of us chanting “Amsterdam” during the “Blank Space” bridge.

My mom said this was her favorite era of the show since it was the most energized and is the album she’s most familiar with. This era felt like a party and probably had the most people singing along; it won Album of the Year at the 2015 Grammy Awards for a reason.

It was also the perfect energizing era that we needed before entering her next and newest era, “The Tortured Poets Department .” This was added to the show in Paris in May, as the album came out the previous month.

Originally, I had planned to avoid all spoilers for this era so I could experience it for the first time in Amsterdam. Unfortunately, I am too nosey (I am a journalist, after all) and watched a grainy livestream of the first Paris show so I could see what songs were included.

The choreography and visuals for this set were stunning and at the same level as the rest of the show, so it fit right in. The theatrics starting in “The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived” and continuing into “I Can Do It With A Broken Heart” with the improvised skit in between was the peak of this era for me.

'Surprise songs' did not let Taylor Swift fans down

Then it was time for the acoustic set, or “surprise songs.” This is usually the most anticipated moment of the show and often the part that is most reacted to online. I knew I would’ve been happy with whatever we got after all the hard work I put in to get to this show, and I was so happy that it truly paid off.

Taylor started the set on guitar by performing “imgonnagetyouback” from Tortured Poets, then she mashed it up with “Dress” from “reputation.” I lost my mind during the latter, mainly because I was hoping for a song from “reputation” and this was one of my favorites. The crowd reacted very similarly.

The second song is performed on piano and was also a perfect choice. Taylor started “You Are In Love” from “1989,” my favorite song from the album, and then completed the mashup with “cowboy like me” from “evermore.” Again, everyone in the arena freaked out and couldn’t contain their screaming.

Finally, Taylor dived into the stage for the last era of the show, “Midnights.” I had refused to accept that the show was going to be over until the second-to-last song began to play and then it finally hit me. “Karma” started and Taylor invited us to sing along for one more song, and the tears began again.

I’m sure Taylor has her reasons for ending the show with this song, but it felt like the perfect ending for me. I always believed in karma and that it always pays off, so when “Midnights” came out in 2022 it became one of my favorites. But standing in the arena at the Eras Tour and watching Taylor performing it live felt so rewarding. This was it, I put in the hard work and finally got to see my favorite singer perform live. The night was perfect, and I thought the only way it could’ve been better was if Travis Kelce was there (spoiler alert: he was).

I still feel a rush of emotions whenever I think of the show. Even writing this and getting to watch all of my videos from the show has me a bit teary-eyed. Everyone was there to have a fun time and enjoy our favorite artist together, trade friendship bracelets and compliment our outfits, and create life-lasting memories. Even back home, I’m still playing Mastermind and watching (and reporting to my dad) all of the surprise songs in her final European shows. It’s still hard to believe I was there, it was truly such a surreal experience.

Thank you, Taylor. Until next time, I’ll be waiting.

Ed Sheeran joins Taylor Swift at Wembley Stadium: Follow live updates from London

Portrait of Bryan West

LONDON — Welcome to the live blog for the Eras Tour in London!

Taylor Swift returns to the stage for the final stop on the European leg of the Eras Tour after a suspected terror plot was thwarted in Vienna. Security measures are tight at Wembley Stadium. Fans with floor tickets were not allowed to camp overnight in the hopes of getting a spot closer to the stage, and Swifties can no longer "Taylor-gate" outside of the stadium if they don't have tickets.

As the Taylor Swift reporter for the USA TODAY Network, I’ll be your host for the evening keeping you updated on all the happenings from inside Wembley Stadium. Since taking the Taylor Swift reporter job in November, I’ve watched the show 69 times in person or on grainy livestreams (equivalent to 230 hours or nine and a half days). Follow along for updates as we go on a little adventure spanning 18 years of music.

Confetti falls to the floor

And that’s a wrap on Thursday night in Wembley. Swift has four more shows in London. “The Alchemy” is ushering fans out as cleanups begin. Many fans are scurrying to pick up colorful confetti representing Swift’s various eras.

Need a break? Play the USA TODAY Daily Crossword Puzzle.

The credits for the cast and crew are projecting on the back screen.

During year one, the background song was “You’re On Your Own Kid” from “Midnights.”

Will Swift make an announcement before her two-month break and return to North America?

We will be covering the highlights over the next few days.

Karma is the guy on the...

We are in the final song of the night.

Swift wore the glistening sky-blue T-shirt during “Anti-Hero,” the dark blue one-piece during "Midnight Rain" and is now grooving in the magenta fur coat to wrap up night one in Wembley Stadium.

She has sang "Karma (Travis' Version)" 13 times for the 13 shows he's attended as her boyfriend where she swaps out "Karma is the guy on the screen" with "Karma is the guy on the Chiefs." And while she will sing the former tonight, the audience will most likely scream the latter.

Ed Sheeran joins Eras Tour stage

Swift welcomed special guest Ed Sheeran to join her onstage for a mashup of their songs "Everything Has Changed" and "End Game" on acoustic guitar. The British singer-songwriter appeared on the original album recordings of the songs that appeared on "Red (Taylor's Version)" and "Reputation," respectively.

For the surprise set, the singer had something up her sleeveless blue dress. She began strumming her guitar singing “Everything Has Changed” from “Red (Taylor’s Version).”

The audience gasped. Some Swifties whispered, “Is Ed here?”

The song is a duet between Swift and her longtime friend Ed Sheeran.

“I just feel like something’s missing,” Swift said, and the decibel level in the stadium rocketed off the charts. “Good thing Ed Sheeran is here.”

He appeared on the center platform.

After harmonizing, the two mashed in “End Game,” another duet they sing on Swift’s sixth album “Reputation.” They finished with Ed Sheeran’s “Thinking Out Loud.”

The crowd belted the song.

As they both strummed at the end, they gave each other a big hug and raised their guitars in the air. Swift kissed the top of Ed Sheeran’s head and then ruffled his red locks.

“This is my best friend, he is like a second brother to me,” Swift said, mentioning Sheeran is on tour and probably tired. She asked the crowd to make some noise and the noise felt like it might break the sound barrier.

The shock that surged through the stadium with Ed Sheeran as a surprise guest couldn’t be matched but Swift delivered a sweet mashup on the piano between “King of My Heart” from “Reputation” and “The Alchemy” from “The Tortured Poets Department.” The watches glowed bright green.Where’s the trophy? That was an epic surprise set for night one in Wembley!

Here comes the 'Tayoomba'

She was tame, she was gentle. But now Swift is on the Roomba-esque machine. The maddening and shiny contraption allows her to belt high notes while chasing her dancers.

During the last few shows in Germany and Warsaw, Poland, Swift added a shriek after the second-to-last line, "So who's afraid of little old me?" She did it again in London on Thursday.

A cool effect that always gets fans excited is the final filtered shot on the back screen where Swift looks like a dead-eyed glowing soul. She always tilts her head to the side. She told Post Malone in her "Fortnight" behind-the-scenes video, "Nothing says crazy like a slight tilt to the head."

Wembley screams 'LON-DON' during 'Blank Space' chant

When Swift performed "Blank Space," one of her most famous songs and one of Travis Kelce's favorites, the crowd played its part. Between lines of the bridge, stadiums shout the names of their city while Swift sings, "Boys only want love if it's torture." This ritual started during Swift's stint in Sydney, Australia, because of the 1989 World Tour movie shot there in 2015. During the song, Swift grabbed an iron golf club and struck a metal pole sticking out of the stage: boom, boom. She paused and did it again: boom, boom. But this time sang "Syd-ney." You can read more about the chant here .

Wait for the signal and I'll meet you after dawn

The lightning in the stadium sounded and Swift sauntered to meet her dancers dressed in green cloaks at the back of the stage. Holding glass, light-up orbs they recited the "Willow" chant. This is when fans blow up balloons and use cell phone lights to make them glow.

The Wembley Stadium listed balloons as one of the items not allowed inside, but a few hundred fans made orbs anyway.

In Amsterdam, three Swifties started the "Willow" trend. You can check out their story here .

Wembley gives Swift 3-minute standing ovation

When she pulled her inner ears out after "Champagne Problems," the audience lost it. She smiled and clutched her hands to her chest.

“If any of us — me, the dancers or the band — have a bad day again, we are going to replay that little memory in our minds,” she said to the crowd.

Swift gets emotional during 'Folkmore' era

After finishing "Cardigan," Swift addressed the crowd.

"I just have to be honest with you guys now that I’ve calmed down a little bit," she said. "The first time I saw this crowd when I came out from backstage ... my whole mind went blank."

She described the feeling as a "love system overload."

"I can't believe that 92,000 people are being this loving and caring and generous to us all at once," she said. "It's just wonderful what you do for us. ... All of us are going to miss it so much when we don't get to do it anymore. Feelings and emotions that I didn’t think about before talking about in front of 92,000 people."

Eras Tour outfits

On Thursday, Swift wore the following:

  • Her blue and pink "Lover" bodysuit
  • Her silver blazer for "The Man"
  • Her black and silver "Fearless" dress
  • Her "A lot going on at the moment" T-shirt for "Red"
  • Her purple cupcake dress for "Speak Now"
  • Her classic "Reputation" bodysuit
  • Her green dress for "Folkmore"
  • Her green and pink top and skirt for "1989"
  • Her "Who's afraid of little old me? You should be" gown for "The Tortured Poets Department"
  • The black two-piece with a gold jacket for "I Can Do It with a Broken Heart"
  • Her blue dress for the acoustic set
  • Her sky-blue T-shirt for "Anti-Hero"
  • Her chevron bodysuit for "Midnight Rain"
  • Finally, Swift closed the show in her magenta fur coat

If you happen to have 10 minutes to spare...

Swift’s dancers exit the stage following “I Knew You Were Trouble” as Swift slings her guitar over her shoulder and heads to center stage alone. The Eras Tour's guitar hangs in anticipation of playing Swift's heartbreaking ballad from the “Red” era.

If not for the rerecording of her fourth era, Swifties may have never heard “All Too Well (10-Minute Version).” The singer stated in an interview that the original song had been edited down to five minutes. Fans implored her to release the lengthier version and she did as a vault song to “Red (Taylor’s Version).” The song skyrocketed on the charts, unseating “American Pie” by Don McLean as the longest No. 1 hit in Billboard’s Hot 100 chart history.

“We were lucky enough to play Wembley stadium back in June, were any of you there?” she asked Thursday to get a loud cheer response. “Thanks for coming back, you guys.”She asks if anyone is new. An even louder roar erupts.

Swift has performed the 10 minute and 13 second song 127 times. In total, that’s 1,298 minutes or 22 hours. At the end, white confetti will fall to the ground to represent snow referenced in the heartbreak anthem.

What did Kam say?

A fan-favorite for livestreamers is to log on and see what dancer Kameron Saunders is going to say during the bridge of “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together."

When Swift performed 53 shows across America, he said “Like Ever” as a response to Swift saying, “So he calls me up and he’s like, ‘I still love you,' and I mean this is exhausting, like we are never getting back together.” But for her international shows he mixed up the expression catering it to the culture and language of each international city.

On Thursday in London, Saunders said, “Are you mad?”

For a complete list of Saunders' sayings, click here .

The coveted '22' hat

Taylor Swift emerged for her “Red” era in her "A Lot Going On at the Moment" shirt. Swift has six custom-made shirts including: “We are never getting back together like ever,” “Who’s Taylor Swift anyway? Ew,” “This is not Taylor’s Version,” “I bet you think about me” and “I knew U were trouble.”

Different than her other tours, there are no meet-and-greets or secret fan rooms, so the closest a mere mortal can get to the superstar is being the one chosen as the “22" hat recipient. Swift’s team makes the selection moments before the concert begins and usually invites that person to the VIP tent area. At the conclusion of the “Fearless” era, her team will bring the lucky fan down to the end of the catwalk.

Swift autographs the brim of the black fedora designed by milliner Gladys Tamez.

“I’ve been like so, so humble and so grateful to do this,” Tamez said in April, “because I’ve worked with her team for a long time and then to have this moment, I was excited.”

Tonight Swift has chosen the 127th member of the exclusive "22" fedora club .

Idris Elba attends Eras Tour

Actor Idris Elba attended Thursday's show. It's only appropriate since he iconically introduced "London Boy" on the "Lover" album. Before the beat drops he says, "We can go drivin' in, on my scooter / Uh, you know, just 'round London."

During Swift's June residency at Wembley, an abundance of A listers attended including Prince William and two of his children,  Sir Paul McCartney,  Jon Bon Jovi, Hugh Grant, Cate Blanchett, Mila Kunis, Ashton Kutcher, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Travis Kelce, Jason Kelce, Kylie Kelce and Swift's parents Scott and Andrea.

The last European shows of the Eras Tour

"What an absolute honor and what a delight and a thrill it is to say these words to you: London, welcome to the Eras Tour!" Swift told Wembley Stadium. “I stand here on this stage knowing that I’m about to play the first show of the last stop of the European leg of the Eras Tour, and the way that you’ve chosen to welcome us, 92,000 of you and screaming the words. Thank you so much from the bottom of our hearts.”

Swift thanked her opening acts, starting with Sofia Isella.

“It’s crazy to me that it’s coming to an end,” Swift says of touring Europe with her opening act Paramore.

The show begins

Oh hi! Taylor Swift returns to the stage to perform her “Lover set.” This is the singer’s first appearance since her team canceled three shows in Vienna because of a thwarted terrorist plot. She glimmers in her blue and pink bodysuit.

The 34-year-old has five “Lover” bodysuit variations: tangerine, gold and blue, purple, pink, and blue and pink.

“Well fancy meeting you here at Wembley Stadium," she says, pointing to the restricted view section and tracing the arena. The 92,000 fans let out an ear-shattering roar.“OK well that was amazing. I’m really feeling like immediately that has gone to my head. You’ve got me feeling really, really powerful," she says as she puts on a silver jacket before singing "The Man."

Cue the Eras Tour overture

The backdrop screen to the Eras Tour just shifted to a countdown clock starting at 2:24. Leslie Gore’s “You Don’t Own Me” fills the stadium.

When the tour first started in March of 2023, fans were surprised Swift began her set with “Miss Americana & the Heartbreak Prince,” but the opener makes sense due to the lines “it’s been a long time coming” and “it’s you and me, that’s my whole world." Because of the coronavirus pandemic, Swift had to cancel her Loverfest stadium show in 2021 and hadn’t toured since the Reputation Stadium Tour in 2018.

After her first football stadium concert series and before the start of the Eras Tour, she released four new eras: “Lover,” “Folklore,” “Evermore” and “Midnights.” For the Eras Tour, she combined her 10 eras into a three-plus-hour show.

When Swift released “The Tortured Poets Department” in April — under the veil of secrecy — she and her dancers flew a little over a week early to Paris to rehearse an updated show. The crowd lost it when they saw the new version on May 9.

If you’re following along, here is the order of the eras in the overture:

  • “It's fearless”
  • “Big reputation”
  • “And they said ’Speak Now’”
  • “Into folklore”
  • “My name is Taylor, and I was born in 1989”
  • “Straight from the tortured poets department”
  • “Cause loving him was red”
  • “Meet me at midnight”

Standby: We're 'In Ha Mood'

The Ice Spice beat dropped. Swifties are trained to run back from the bathroom or concession stands as soon as they hear "In Ha Mood" begin playing. It means Taylor Swift will appear in about 10 minutes.

The dancers and band will make their way to the stage. Taylor Swift is hidden in a “cleaning cart” at the end of the cast walking up the ramp. Her cart is being pushed by production workers who will stop the cart right before a set of stairs that take Swift to the main platform.

“Applause” by Lady Gaga will play next. As the song blares across an anxious and excited audience, dancers will put pink and ombre parachute flaps on their backs and line up behind the main stage door.

Taylor Swift's massive set list of 46 songs

The crowd eagerly awaited the start of the show as the "Bejeweled" behind-the-scenes video played indicating Swift was about to embark on a three-plus-hour show era-by-era. Here is her 46-song setlist:

  • Lover: "Miss Americana & the Heartbreak Prince," "Cruel Summer," "The Man," "You Need to Calm Down" and "Lover"
  • Fearless: "Fearless," "You Belong With Me" and "Love Story"
  • Red: "22," "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together," "I Knew You Were Trouble" and "All Too Well (10-Minute Version)"
  • Speak Now: "Enchanted"
  • Reputation: "...Ready For It?" "Delicate," "Don't Blame Me" and "Look What You Made Me Do"
  • Folkmore (Folklore and Evermore combined set): "Cardigan," "Betty," "Champagne Problems," "August," "Illicit Affairs," "My Tears Ricochet," "Marjorie" and "Willow"
  • 1989: "Style," "Blank Space," "Shake it Off," "Wildest Dreams" and "Bad Blood"
  • The Tortured Poets Department: "But Daddy I Love Him," "So High School," "Who's Afraid of Little Old Me," "Down Bad," "Fortnight," "The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived" and "I Can Do It with a Broken Heart"
  • Acoustic guitar mashup and acoustic piano mashup
  • Midnights: "Lavender Haze," "Anti-Hero," "Midnight Rain," "Vigilante S---," "Bejeweled," "Mastermind" and "Karma"

Paramore set list

“Oh yeah London! It’s good to be back with you," Hayley Williams boomed into the mic. "Oh how we’ve missed you. We can never get enough London. Ever!”“It’s an honor and a privilege to be here. Never in our entire world did we ever think we’d play at Wembley Stadium so thank you for making this possible.”Their set list included:

  • “Hard Times” with Blondie mashup of “Heart of Glass”
  • “Burning Down the House”
  • “Still Into You”
  • “Forgiveness”
  • “Caught in the Middle”
  • “The Only Exception”
  • “Misery Business”
  • “Ain’t It Fun”
  • “This Is Why”

The rousing opening act energized Wembley as Williams lay on the ground in the center spotlight and belted the end of “Ain’t It Fun.” London was overcast, with the open-roofed arena sitting at 73 degrees. The floor was packed with every inch covered by Swifties and the rest of the stadium filled to 60%. Swift will take the stage in about 30 minutes.

'Ain't it fun' that Paramore is here?

Hayley Williams, Taylor York and Zac Farro have been the opening act for Taylor Swift on the European leg of the  Eras Tour . The trio have dazzled for 43 shows across Europe. They will wrap their involvement on Tuesday and make their way back to Nashville, Tennessee, where they're based.

Right before leaving for Paris in May, Paramore was dubbed the Global Ambassadors for Record Store Day, a title Swift held in 2022. They surprised fans at Grimey's record store in Nashville.

Swift's final opening act for the remaining North America shows will be Gracie Abrams.

Is Travis Kelce coming back to Eras Tour?

It's not likely Swift's boyfriend will be at the shows in England. The Kansas City Chiefs tight end has his final training camp practice on Thursday before the Chiefs' preseason home game on Saturday against the Detroit Lions. Although Swift could make the following preseason home game on Aug. 22 as the Chiefs take on the Chicago Bears.

Who could forget Travis Kelce breaking the internet the last time Swift performed in Wembley by appearing on stage to carry her after her symbolic crash to the ground from "The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived." He attempted to revive her alongside backup dancers Jan Ravnik and Kameron Saunders so she could sing, "I Can Do It With a Broken Heart."

Sofia Isella set list

“This is the most insane view I’ve ever seen in my entire life,” opening act Sofia Isella told Wembley Stadium.

Her set list included:

  • “Cacao and Cocaine”
  • “Everybody Supports Women”
  • “Unattractive”
  • “I Looked the Future in the Eyes, It's Mine”

Isella played six songs in her 25-minute set.

Sofia Isella takes the stage

Similar to inviting three artists to open before Paramore in June, Swift has invited five singers to share the stage in Wembley Stadium. Up first is Sofia Isella , a 19-year-old classically trained violinist, songwriter, producer and singer. The rising star was born in Beverly Hills, California, but lives in Australia.

When Swift let the cat out of the bag on Aug. 5, Isella shared a message on Instagram: "Someone I’ve never met has changed my life even more than she already has just through her writing alone. Your fearlessness in continuing to push yourself and win again and again is the most joyful thing to watch, Taylor. Thank you."

The acts that will open the rest of the Wembley dates are:

  • Friday: Holly Humberstone
  • Saturday: Suki Waterhouse
  • Monday: Maisie Peters
  • Tuesday: Raye

Doors are open

It's official. Wembley Stadium has just opened the doors to allow VIP guests into the arena. The general admission sections will open in about thirty minutes. Thousands of Swifties are pouring in.

Lining up at 4 a.m.

Amy Willow of Brighton, United Kingdom, rode up on the overnight train with her two best friends hoping to get in line for Thursday night's Eras Tour show. The early morning wake up call landing her at Wembley Stadium at 4 a.m. was a good call. She ended up being first in line.

"I was like, 'Oh my God, there's going to be like a queue of a hundred people,'" she says four hours before general admission doors open. "Crickets, literal crickets. There was no one here. It was amazing."

Wembley Stadium tells fans without a ticket: Don't come

The stadium that seats 89,000 fans told anyone without an Eras Tour ticket not to come. Additional ticket checks have been added around the stadium and fans will need to show proof of passes before entering the general vicinity.

Wembley Stadium's website  also implemented stricter security measures including no overnight camping and no  "Taylor-gating,"  where devoted fans without tickets congregate outside of a stadium to listen to the live concert and engage in dancing and friendship bracelet trading. The stadium is not allowing anyone to stand outside any entrance or on the Olympics Steps at the front. Non-ticketholders will be "moved on."
