Katie Holmes had nothing but praise for her daughter Suri's singing in the new film "Alone Together," which was directed by and stars Holmes.

"I always want the highest level of talent, so I asked her," the "Dawson's Creek" actress said of Suri's involvement in the project during a recent interview with Yahoo Entertainment . 

According to Yahoo, the 16-year-old sings a cover of "Blue Moon" that plays at the beginning of the romantic comedy during the opening credits. "Alone Together" follows two people (played by Holmes and costar Jim Sturgess) in failing relationships who end up at the same Airbnb during the coronavirus lockdown. 

"She's very, very talented," Holmes gushed of the daughter she shares with ex Tom Cruise . "She said she would do it and she recorded it." 

"I let her do her thing. That's the way I direct, in general," the "First Daughter" star added in the interview . 

Suri is the only daughter of Holmes and Cruise. The couple first met in 2005 and welcomed their baby girl in spring 2006. Later that same year, they tied the knot in Italy. 

However, after five-and-a-half years of marriage, Holmes filed for divorce from Cruise in late June 2012 . The "Top Gun: Maverick" star was reportedly caught off guard by the split, but after only 11 days, the couple reached a settlement which gave Holmes primary custody of Suri.

Suri and Holmes now live together in New York City.

Katie Holmes recently shared how proud she is of her daughter Suri Cruise , who shows off her vocal skills in the opening credits of Holmes' new movie, "Alone Together."

In an interview with Yahoo Entertainment about the new film, which Holmes directed, the " Dawson's Creek " star said that her 16-year-old daughter sings "Blue Moon" during the credits and called her "very talented."

"I always want the highest level of talent," Holmes said. "So I asked her! She's very, very talented. She said she would do it and she recorded it, and I let her do her thing. That's the way I direct in general: It's like, 'This is what I think we all want -- go do your thing.'"

"Alone Together" isn't the first film in which Suri has showcased her voice. Holmes said that her daughter also sang in the film "Rare Objects," a period drama based on the novel by author Kathleen Tessaro, which Holmes also directed.

When Suri isn't busy making music, Holmes said her daughter enjoys just being a teen.

Holmes, who was 27 years old when she welcomed her daughter in 2006 with ex-husband Tom Cruise , doesn't often post photos of her daughter in order to keep her private life private.

In 2019, she spoke about "growing up" with her daughter in an interview with Elle UK .

"It's been nice that our ages fit," she said. "Every age that my child has been and my age at that time has been a good match. We kind of grew up together."

Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes’ daughter has made her on-screen debut.

Holmes, 43, directed and stars in the newly released movie Alone Together , and her daughter Suri Cruise, 16, joined her on the big screen.

“I always want the highest level of talent,” Holmes said in an interview with Yahoo! Entertainment . “So, I asked her [Suri].

“She’s very, very talented. She said she would do it, and she recorded it, and I let her do her thing. That’s the way I direct in general. It’s like, ‘This is what I think we all want – go do your thing.’”

In the movie, Suri sings a cover of Blue Moon , which plays during the opening credits of the film. Holmes told the outlet this will not be her daughter’s only on-screen singing gig, Fox News reports.

“She actually did sing in Rare Objects , which is the film we did last [autumn],” Holmes said. “Other than that, she’s a 16-year-old kid doing high school.”

Cruise and Holmes were married from 2006 to 2012. Suri is their only child together, and her uber-famous parents opted to keep her out of the public eye for the majority of her childhood.

Holmes directed, wrote and stars in Alone Together – a romantic comedy set during the Covid pandemic. Also appearing opposite her in the film is English actor Jim Sturgess.

The film follows a man and woman fleeing New York City during the first wave of the pandemic in 2020.

They end up booking the same Airbnb and ultimately decide to stay at the upstate property together.

Sturgess praised Holmes’ directing style and shared that she gives actors wide latitude when they are in front of the camera.

“She very rarely shouted, ‘Cut!’ actually. You’d think the scene had ended and she just kind of left it hanging. I love that she was always searching for those little nuggets of authenticity.”

Katie Holmes ' daughter is leaving the nest!

The 45-year-old actress opens up about how she's feeling about her 18-year-old daughter, Suri Cruise , whom she shares with ex-husband Tom Cruise , going off to college in an interview with Town & Country published on Tuesday.

"I'm proud of my daughter," Holmes tells the outlet. "Of course, I will miss the close proximity, but I'm really proud of her and I'm happy."

Back in the day, Holmes attended Columbia University. She reflects on her own college years when imagining her daughter's future.

"I remember being this age, this time of beginnings. It's exciting to learn about yourself, and I loved that time, so it makes me happy to think about it like that," the Dawson's Creek alum adds.

In May, Suri gave an unintentional hint at where she's attending college when she was spotted wearing a Carnegie Mellon University sweatshirt in a now-unavailable "decision day" TikTok posted by a classmate.

Holmes has kept her family life relatively private over the years and is seemingly continuing to keep Suri's life out of the spotlight, as the outlet noted that's all Holmes will say on the subject. 

"What has been really important for me with my daughter, because she was so visible at a young age, is I really like to protect her," Holmes explained to Glamour magazine in April 2023. "I'm very grateful to be a parent, to be her parent. She's an incredible person."

But when Holmes has made rare comments about Suri, they've been sweet.

"She's the greatest; my heart is her. ... She's definitely my favorite thing about life," Holmes gushed of her daughter in April 2023 to Haute Living New York .

In her new interview, Holmes would not confirm the speculation that Suri is interested in music, fashion and acting. But Suri did sing and do background vocals on Holmes' recent projects, 2022's Alone Together and 2023's Rare Objects .

Tom, 62, who also shares daughter Isabella, 31, and son Connor, 29, with ex Nicole Kidman , has not publicly commented on Suri's college plans. At her high school graduation in June, Suri reportedly ditched her surname, opting to go by "Suri Noelle" instead of "Suri Cruise," with Noelle being the middle name of her mother. Tom was not at the graduation. Instead, he was spotted at Taylor Swift 's Eras Tour  stop in London, England.

Katie Holmes was looking for the “highest level of talent” for her COVID-era Airbnb rom-com, Alone Together . That's why she reached out to her very own daughter , 16-year-old Suri Cruise .

Holmes , who wrote, directed, and starred in the film, brought in Suri to record a cover of “Blue Moon” for the opening credits. “I always want the highest level of talent,” Holmes told Yahoo Entertainment . “So I asked her! She's very, very talented. She said she would do it and she recorded it, and I let her do her thing. That's the way I direct in general: It's like, ‘This is what I think we all want—go do your thing.’”

The song holds significant sentimental value for the mother-daughter pair. According to Holmes, she was inspired by Diane Keaton's own rendition of “Blue Moon” for Rob Reiner's 2014 film And So It Goes . “Diane met my daughter when she was a year old,” Holmes told Yahoo.

This isn't the first time Suri has been featured in one of her mother's films. “She actually did sing in Rare Objects , which is the film we did last fall,” the proud mom shared. “Other than that, she's a 16-year-old kid doing high school.”

Katie Holmes and her former husband Tom Cruise welcomed Suri in 2006; six years later, the Dawson's Creek star was awarded primary custody . “I like to keep her out of my interviews, but I will say that this time of quarantine has been such a lesson,” she said during an interview with The Daily Telegraph back in 2020. “Just really looking at everything you have and celebrating the simplicity of making dinner and [spending] that time together.”

As Suri gets older, it seems Holmes is becoming more comfortable gushing about her daughter to the press. “I love her so much. My biggest goal has always been to nurture her into her individuality,” she said in an interview with InStyle . “To make sure she is 100% herself and strong, confident, and able. And to know it. Is Suri Cruise heading toward a creative future like her performing parents, Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise?

The famously private 18-year-old revealed which college she will attend this fall on a friend's TikTok video . (The video has since been taken down.)

In the video, which was captioned “LaG commitment day” (for Fiorello H. LaGuardia performing arts high school in New York City), Suri and her pals displayed sweaters that featured the names of colleges they would each attend in the fall. The Hannah Montana (aka Miley Cyrus) song “I’ll Always Remember You” played in the background.

In the video, Suri was sporting a red Carnegie Mellon University sweater. The Pittsburgh college just so happens to have a prestigious performing arts department, which may suggest that the incoming freshman could pursue a career in entertainment.

The teenager's vocals have already been featured in two of her mom's projects: 2022’s “Alone Together” and 2023’s “Rare Objects.”

Holmes discussed those family work opportunities in a 2023 interview with Glamour . "I hope she always does something on my films. I always ask her." She added, "It was very meaningful to me to have her there, because she’s my heart."

Holmes herself was granted admission to Columbia University after she graduated high school, but she put her college plans on the back burner when she started booking acting jobs, like her breakout role as intelligent and acerbic Joey Potter on "Dawson's Creek."

Now 45 and a soon-to-be empty nester, Holmes said in a recent interview with Town & Country , “I’m proud of my daughter. Things are running smoothly at the Holmes household.

They "get along great," a source told Entertainment Tonight .

"Suri has always been Katie's number one priority. She has the utmost respect for her daughter and is really conscientious about who she introduces her to," they added.

Holmes and Wooten—a Grammy-nominated composer and producer—began dating earlier this year, around April, following her split from celebrity chef Emilio Vitolo . Since then, they have been flaunting their romance all around New York City.

In May, they attended The Moth's 25th Anniversary Gala , where they walked the red carpet together in complementing ensembles. Holmes wore a bright orange ruffled dress by Jonathan Simkhai, featuring a high neck and billowing sleeves. She paired the look with black strappy heels, gold drop earrings, and an Art Deco handbag.

Her boyfriend, meanwhile, looked cool in a dark teal suit with black accents by Paul Smith.

Earlier this month, they walked the red carpet for the Tribeca Film Festival premiere of Holmes's film Alone Together. The two seemed every bit in love in front of the cameras, where they laughed and embraced while posing for photos together . To the event, Holmes wore a slouchy summer look consisting of an ivory crochet tank top and long flared skirt from Chloé's pre-fall 2022 collection. She accessorized with a chunky gold chain necklace, gold bracelet, and tan leather clutch embellished with braided details, also from Chloé.

Wooten matched her airy look in a collarless white button-up, black jacket, olive green trousers, and black dress shoes.

Holmes is one proud mom as her 16-year-old sings "Blue Moon” in Alone Together.

Her long brown hair and gorgeous smile aren’t the only things Katie Holmes and ex Tom Cruise passed down to their lookalike daughter Suri Cruise. The 16-year-old also got a big dose of talent from her famous parents. Recently, Suri officially made her big-screen debut in an appearance in Alone Together , a romantic comedy that Holmes wrote, directed, and starred in. Suri sings “Blue Moon” in the film, which was released 25 years after Holmes made her own feature film debut in Ang Lee’s The Ice Storm. It’s a cool full-circle moment and Holmes couldn’t be prouder of her daughter.

“I always want the highest level of talent," Holmes told Yahoo Entertainment on July 26 about her daughter guest starring in Alone Together. “So I asked her! She's very, very talented. She said she would do it and she recorded it, and I let her do her thing. That's the way I direct in general: It's like, 'This is what I think we all want — go do your thing.'"

Holmes was only a few years older than Suri is now when she appeared in her breakout role as Joey Potter on Dawson’s Creek , which ran for 6 seasons from 1998-2003. She’s since transitioned to a film career, starring in Batman Begins, Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark, and Miss Meadows among others.

Holmes reflected on her first film in 1997. "That shoot was so exciting for me — it was my first job," she told Yahoo. "When I was there, I didn't really understand what was happening, but in looking at the film many times after, Ang's ability to capture worlds is so incredible. I think that he's such a poet in the way that he shoots a scene, and the dialogue he uses and how that tells the story in a very simple way. It's all about finding the simplest way to get your story across."

Now, Holmes is telling her own stories, and she loves having her daughter work with her. Later this year, Suri’s voice will appear in another one of Holmes’ movies.

"She actually did sing in Rare Objects , which is the film we did last fall," says Holmes of her third feature, a period drama based on the 2016 bestseller by Kathleen Tessaro that will be released on December 31, 2022.

"Other than that, she's a 16-year-old kid doing high school," Holmes added.

The song is not only Suri’s film debut, but the story behind it has a special meaning. Alone Together was in part inspired the 1987 comedy Baby Boom, which starred Diane Keaton. “Diane met my daughter when she was a year old," Holmes told Yahoo Entertainment of Keaton, who sang “Blue Moon” in the 2014 Rob Reiner film And So It Goes.

Holmes’ creative nature likely influenced Suri’s spark for singing and acting. In December 2021, Holmes told Romper , “I like spending time with people way more than worrying about gifts and things,” about her holiday traditions. “The arts and crafts and the good food… that's what I love doing during the holidays and just making it very creative.”

Holmes, who shares the 16-year-old with ex-husband Tom Cruise , gushed about collaborating with her teen daughter in her cinematic work  in an interview with Glamour magazine published Wednesday. Suri lent her vocals to songs featured in two of Holmes’ recent films, the 2022 romantic drama "Alone Together" and the upcoming "Rare Objects," both of which Holmes directed.

"I hope she always does something on my films. I always ask her," Holmes told the magazine. "But both of those experiences came out of the same sense of what I love about our industry, which is, you have these projects and you become a family with people."

Holmes added: "So it comes out of love for me to include someone who I love dearly. That’s how I like to work. I like to have that kind of feeling. It was very meaningful to me to have her there, because she’s my heart."

Suri Cruise is wearing her new identity with pride. The daughter of Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise stepped out in New York on Tuesday, May 14, looking casual in a pair of baggy, sweatpants and a t-shirt. 

In the first photos since her new name was revealed, Suri was the spitting image of her mom with her long, brunette locks worn loose and appearing lost in thought. 

She strode through the streets of the Big Apple with her denim coat draped over her arm and engrossed in what was pumping through her headphones. 

Her outing comes days after it was revealed that Suri has dropped her last name - at least when it comes to performing. 

Suri gave a subtle yet noticeable statement about her identity during a performance of Head Over Heels in New York in early May.

The casting sheet for the stage show revealed the 18-year-old has adopted her mom's middle name and is listed as Suri Noelle . The rising star's birth certificate  named her simply Suri Cruise.

It's perhaps not surprising that Suri is leaning more towards her mother's identity as she's reportedly been estranged from her famous dad since she was a little girl.

If she's carving out a career in the entertainment industry too, a stage name is far from uncommon. 

Katie's real name is Kate Noelle Holmes, and Tom was born Thomas Cruise Mapother lV.

Suri's most recent play wasn't the first time she's taken center stage. She previously starred as Morticia Addams in her high school's production of The Addams Family: A New Musical , according to Page Six.

She also has a beautiful singing voice and lent her vocals to two of her mom's movies, the 2022 romantic drama Alone Together  and Rare Objects.

Speaking of why she loves working with her daughter, Katie told ET :  "I always want the highest level of talent, so I asked her."

The Dawson's Creek alum also called her only child "very, very talented," and confident too, telling InStyle in 2022: "I love her so much. My biggest goal has always been to nurture her into her individuality. To make sure she is 100 per cent herself and strong, confident, and able. And to know it." 

Suri is expected to attend college in the fall but has not publicly revealed where or what she will study.

In a July interview with Yahoo! Entertainment , the Dawson's Creek actress opened up about the 16 year old singing in the film she wrote, directed and starred in. According to Katie, Suri's cover of Frank Sinatra 's " Blue Moon " made it in the movie when she was searching for powerful vocals and one name came to mind.

"Well, I always want the highest level of talent, so I asked her," she told the outlet . "She's very talented. She said she would do it and she recorded it, and I let her do her thing. That's the way I direct in general. It's like, 'This is what I think we all want and then go do your thing.'"

Reacting to Suri's singing, it seemed like fans weren't expecting to hear that from her. Many quickly turned to YouTube to share their supportive thoughts.

"Of course Katie Holmes' daughter would be so talented! Good on you, Suri!" one viewer wrote in the comments section. "I cannot stop playing this!! She sounds so wonderful and has so much control in her voice. I'm so impressed," another added. "Wow! She sings soooo well! Way to go! Hope we’ll [hear] more songs from her!" one more fan replied.

Luckily, this is only the beginning for Suri's musical career. Katie noted her daughter also lent her voice for the upcoming movie Rare Objects , premiering later this fall. But as the two continue navigating both their professional and personal lives, it's clear Katie and Suri's bond spans way deeper than just being mother and daughter.

In an interview with Yahoo Entertainment about the new film, which Holmes directed, the " Dawson's Creek " star said that her 16-year-old daughter sings "Blue Moon" during the credits and called her "very talented."

When Suri isn't busy making music, Holmes said her daughter enjoys just being a teen.

Suri Cruise has joined her mum Katie Holmes on her winter holiday, being spotted at Newark Airport near their hometown of New York City.

The 44-year-old actress – who shares Suri with ex-husband Tom Cruise , 60 – looked effortlessly stylish as she shielded from the chilly weather in an abundance of patterned knitwear and a long black coat, covering her face with a pink mask, completing her outfit with a pair of light denim jeans.

Meanwhile, 16-year-old Suri beamed at passersby as she donned a sage green coat atop and red T-shirt, which was teamed with camel-coloured trousers as she pulled a pink suitcase behind her.

Katie and Tom – who married in November 2006 – have kept Suri relatively out of the spotlight despite their superstar status, keeping her off of their respective social media profiles.

Former Dawson’s Creek star Katie filed for divorce from Mission: Impossible actor Tom, in June 2012 and they signed a settlement 10 days later, with Katie being granted custody of Suri.

Katie was 27 when she welcomed Suri, and opened up on motherhood in an interview with Elle UK in 2019.

She said: ‘I was happy to become a mum in my twenties. It’s been nice that our ages fit… how do I put this?

‘Every age that my child has been and my age at that time has been a good match. We kind of grew up together.’

Katie will return to stage next year as she is set to star in The Wanderers, a new Off Broadway play in February, portraying a movie star who will put the marriage of the main characters – newly-married Esther and Schmuli – to the test.

Earlier this month, Katie split from her composer boyfriend Bobby Wooten III, 33, after eight months together.

A source told Us Weekly : ‘Katie and Bobby broke up last week, she’s no longer [talking] about him to his friends.

‘They just didn’t work out together for the long run.’

The actress celebrated her 44th birthday just over a week ago, delighting fans as she shared a snap of herself as a child.

‘Thank you for all of the kindness on my birthday. I do love being a December baby,’ she wrote.

Katie Holmes  doesn't want to wait to show off her daughter Suri Cruise 's musical prowess.

The Dawson's Creek alum revealed that she recruited the 16-year-old to sing a cover of "Blue Moon" in the opening credits of  Alone Together , a COVID-19 pandemic-inspired romantic comedy she wrote, directed and stars in. Explaining her decision to include Suri—who she shares with ex-husband Tom Cruise —in the project, Katie told  Yahoo! Entertainment , "I always want the highest level of talent, so I asked her."

"She's very, very talented. She said she would do it and she recorded it, and I let her do her thing," she continued. "That's the way I direct in general: It's like, 'This is what I think we all want—go do your thing.'"

Katie added that Suri's singing will also be featured in her upcoming flick Rare Objects , which she shot last year, though "other than that, she's a 16-year-old kid doing high school."

In a full circle moment, Katie shared that Suri also has a special connection to the classic ballad, which was famously covered by Diane Keaton   in the 2014's  And So It Goes . She noted, "Diane met my daughter when she was a year old."

For her part, Suri has largely  stayed out of the public spotlight  since entering her teenage years. In November 2020, Katie reflected on how the pandemic provided an opportunity to "live for a moment in time without the pressure of results," adding that the "natural rhythms of mother and daughter was the most precious gift."

"During this time of uncertainty, remembering to be creative and positive has been something I have tried to keep at the forefront of my mind," she wrote in an essay for  Vogue Australia . "Throughout this experience the through-line for me has been a heightened awareness of each moment and really taking it in and appreciating it."

Katie Holmes and her 16-year-old daughter Suri’s quarantine experience felt like a “perpetual vacation.”

The duo painted, made quilts with a sewing machine and cooked while staying home amid the COVID-19 lockdown in 2020, the actress, 43, told Amazing magazine in her summer 2022 cover story (via the Daily Mail ).

“We were also on a lake, and there was a hammock, so I would wake up, sew, have coffee, take a nap on the hammock,” she recalled.

Holmes went on to reveal that she and Suri watched “Dirty Dancing” 10 times.

“Let me tell you, I danced to it in the living room, and it still holds up,” Holmes, who welcomed her daughter in 2006 with then-husband Tom Cruise, said. “It was fun.”

Suri celebrated her 14th birthday that year, enjoying a low-key party at home.

“I am so blessed to be your mom,” the “Dawson’s Creek” alum wrote via Instagram in April 2020. “May this year be incredible!”

The following year, Holmes told her social media followers that she could not “believe” her child was “already 15.”

The “First Daughter” star wrote, “ Happy 15th Birthday Sweetheart! I love you!!!!!!!! ❤️💕😘.”

Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes’ daughter Suri reveals where she’s attending college

Suri Cruise, the daughter of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes , has hinted at her college plans in a TikTok video.

The 18-year-old high school senior revealed that she’ll be heading to Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, in the fall. A TikTok video posted by a fellow high school student, which has since been made private, showed Suri and her classmates at New York City’s LaGuardia High School showing off their college sweaters.

The clip was set to the Hannah Montana song, “I’ll Always Remember You,” as each graduating senior used their hands to reveal their new alma mater. After Suri showed off her red Carnegie Mellon sweatshirt, she then did a little dance for the camera.

“LaG commitment day,” the student captioned the TikTok.

The Mission: Impossible star, 61, and the Dawson’s Creek alum, 45, welcomed their daughter Suri in April 2006. The actors met one year prior and were engaged two months later. Holmes and Cruise tied the knot during an Italian ceremony in November 2006, and Holmes later filed for divorce in June 2012 after five years of marriage.

According to Page Six , their daughter celebrated her 18th birthday in New York City last month while her father was in London.

Holmes has previously opened up about working hard to “protect” Suri because of her childhood in the spotlight. “What has been really important for me with my daughter, because she was so visible at a young age, is I really like to protect her,” the Batman Begins star told Glamour in April last year. “I’m very grateful to be a parent, to be her parent. She’s an incredible person.”

The mother of one even enlisted her daughter to join her on a recent project. Suri sang “Blue Moon” during the opening credits of Holmes’ 2022 film, Alone Together , and also sang vocals on her 2023 movie, Rare Objects.

“I hope she always does something on my films. I always ask her,” Holmes said. “But both of those experiences came out of the same sense of what I love about our industry, which is, you have these projects and you become a family with people. And it’s this safe, beautiful, creative space.”

She continued: “So it comes out of love for me to include someone who I love dearly. That’s how I like to work. I like to have that kind of feeling. It was very meaningful to me to have her there, because she’s my heart.”

While much of Suri’s early life was captured by paparazzi, Holmes shared in an essay for Vogue Australia how the mother-daughter duo were able to embrace their newfound private lives during the Covid-19 pandemic.

“Hobbies such as sewing, painting and writing became new hallmarks of satisfaction and having had time at home to just be. To listen. To live for a moment in time without the pressure of results and instead appreciate the natural rhythms of mother and daughter was the most precious gift,” she wrote in 2020.

Holmes also revealed that she and Suri watched Dawson’s Creek together during the height of the pandemic. The actor was just 19 years old when she starred as Joey Potter on the WB series, which ran from 1998 to 2003.

“She has seen Dawson’s Creek , and I think it’s probably weird since she’s a teenager,” Holmes told Variety in March 2023. “I’m not like, ‘You need to watch mommy’s work.’ But during the pandemic, we had a good laugh about it. It’s wild to have a daughter who’s almost the same age as I was when I began all this.”

In a video shared on TikTok May 20 with the caption "LaG commitment day," Suri and her friends celebrated which schools they would headed to in the fall, showing off their college sweaters in the video set to the Hannah Montana song "I'll Always Remember You." And the 18-year-old could be seen sporting a red Carnegie Mellon University sweater while making silly faces for the camera and doing a cute dance with her friends.

And while Holmes — who split with Tom in 2012 — has expressed her desire to keep Suri out of the spotlight she has reflected on their life together. And for the "Batman Begins" actress, letting Suri have a private life was important because she was "so visible at a young age."

"I really like to protect her," the 45-year-old told Glamour last year . "I'm very grateful to be a parent, to be her parent. She's an incredible person."

And it also meant a lot to the "Dawson's Creek" alum to have Suri sing and do background vocals on her recent projects, 2022's "Alone Together" and 2023's "Rare Objects."

"I hope she always does something on my films," Holmes said. "I always ask her. But both of those experiences came out of the same sense of what I love about our industry, which is, you have these projects and you become a family with people."

She added, "It was very meaningful to me to have her there, because she's my heart."

Suri Cruise is officially all grown up and enrolled in college — and she couldn't look more like her mother, Katie Holmes .

As the new school term begins, students worldwide are moving into their new digs, including Suri Cruise, who was spotted over the weekend with her twin mother moving into her new dorm: Pittsburgh's Carnegie Mellon.

One of the last times we saw the mother-daughter duo out and about, Suri was still 14. It was still peak COVID time, so they were sporting face masks that hid their resemblance.

However, Suri and her mom were spotted on various occasions over the weekend, and it truly feels like we've travelled back in time and are witnessing Katie Holmes in the '90s.

Suri has always had a lot of Katie in her, as evidenced by the pic below, but it's genuinely gotten uncanny now that she's 18. (You can check the photos here and here .)

Katie Holmes Shared Rare Photos of Suri Cruise in 15th Birthday Tribute to Her Daughter

Yes, Suri Cruise is very much a teenager now.

In yet another sign time goes by way too fast, Katie Holmes' daughter Suri Cruise is one year away from her sweet sixteen now. Holmes marked her daughter's 15th birthday with an adoring tribute on Instagram, complete with new (old) photos of Cruise. Holmes has largely kept photos of her daughter off social media, so the tribute is a very rare look into Cruise's life with Holmes.

“Happy 15th Birthday Sweetheart! I love you!!!!!!!! ❤️💕😘 I can’t believe you are already 15!” Holmes wrote to Cruise. She shared a carousel of photos, featuring two of Cruise and Holmes hugging.

“It’s been nice that our ages fit… how do I put this? Every age that my child has been and my age at that time has been a good match. We kind of grew up together,” Holmes said.

She later added that yes, she, like most other parents, worries about the world Cruise is taking in. When asked if she's concerned about her teenage daughter being subject to bad influences, Holmes responded, “Doesn’t every parent? But, yes, of course I’m worried. There is so much bad news and hate and things that don’t make sense… The atmosphere around the world is… terrifying.”
