Avril Lavigne Reschedules 2022 European Tour To 2023

Avril Lavigne has once again rescheduled her upcoming 2022 European tour in support of her 2019 album Head Above Water and upcoming Love Sux album . Originally scheduled to take place in 2020, the dates were rescheduled for 2021, then for spring 2022, and have been pushed for the third time to 2023 due to ongoing restrictions.

Lavigne will now be hitting the road from April through May 2023, stopping at major cities in Italy, Germany, and the U.K., including three shows in London and one in Manchester. Lavigne will still be playing some live shows in 2022 but only in her home country of Canada. Her Bite Me 2022 Canada Tour, kicking off May 3 is still set to happen.

Lavigne released Head Above Water in 2019 as her sixth studio album, and the latest full-length release since her 2013 self-titled album. The 12-track record was written about her battle with Lyme disease, a diagnosis that she revealed to the public in 2015. “I was bedridden for five months,” she told People magazine about the severity of her symptoms at the time. “I felt like I couldn’t breathe, I couldn’t talk and I couldn’t move[...] I thought I was dying.”

In the time since, Lavigne has experienced a resurgence with her career timed alongside a pop-punk renaissance in pop culture. In 2020, she released new music with her boyfriend, MOD SUN, and Willow, the youngest Smith. Their very 2000s music video for their joint track “G R O W” was released in 2021. Lavigne has also been gearing up to release her anticipated next album titled Love Sux which will usher in a return to her pop-punk roots and is expected to drop on Feb. 25.

Avril Lavigne en concert au Zénith de Paris La Villette en avril 2023

Après cinq ans d’absence, Avril Lavigne a fait son retour dans les bacs avec la publication, en février 2019, de son sixième opus ‘ Head Above Water ’. A cette occasion, la chanteuse canadienne avait annoncé son ‘ Head Above Water World Tour ’ et des concerts prévus outre atlantique bien sûr, mais aussi en Asie, en Amérique Latine et en Europe. A Paris , la chanteuse devait envahir la salle du Zénith de La Villette   le jeudi 26 mars 2020 pour un show unique. Malheureusement, en raison de la crise sanitaire , l'artiste a été contrainte d'annuler ses shows.

Mais séchez vos larmes puisque Avril Lavigne annonce qu'elle se produira finalement dans la capitale en 2023  à l'occasion de sa tournée " Love Sux Europe Tour ". A vos agendas ! La chanteuse canadienne vous attend au Zénith de Paris le mercredi 12 avril 2023 . Notez que le concert était initialement prévu le 23 mars 2022, mais est finalement reporté en raison de la crise sanitaire. Les billets achetés restent valables.

L’occasion donc de découvrir en live ses derniers morceaux, à l’instar des singles « I Fell in Love with the Devil », « Dumb Blonde » (featuring Nicki Minaj) ou encore le titre éponyme « Head Above Water ».

Avril Lavigne confirms 2022 UK and European tour dates

"F*ck yeah, I’m going on tour!" Avril Lavigne will be hitting the UK and Europe next year for her rescheduled Head Above Water run…

Having had to postpone the original live dates due to the pandemic, Avril Lavigne has now confirmed a 2022 return to the UK and Europe.

Originally scheduled to happen in support of her 2019 album Head Above Water, the Canadian pop-rock superstar will now be crossing the pond in February and March next year for 19 shows – including four in the UK (three in London and one in Manchester).

"Fuck yeah, I’m going on tour!" Avril announces. "Here are the Europe / UK dates."

Of course, while Avril hasn't yet had the chance to properly perform Head Above Water material overseas, it'll be interesting to see if there's any new music that arrives before this tour. In February this year, she confirmed that her upcoming pop-punk album was finished: "It’s done!" she wrote to a fan. "Music coming soon." Before then, Avril had been in the studio with MOD SUN, John Feldmann and Machine Gun Kelly .

La chanteuse Avril Lavigne vient d’annoncer qu’elle reportait à 2023 sa tournée prévue au printemps en raison de la pandémie.

Avril Lavigne a reporté sa prochaine tournée européenne à 2023, invoquant les problèmes liés à la pandémie de coronavirus. Dans une déclaration partagée sur les réseaux sociaux, la chanteuse écrit : «  Pour mes fans en Europe et au Royaume-Uni, j’ai quelques mauvaises nouvelles à partager avec vous tous concernant mes dates. Je dois prendre la décision difficile de reporter cette tournée à 2023. En raison des problèmes liés à la pandémie, une série de restrictions de voyage et dans les salles d’un pays à l’autre ont rendu la tournée impossible à réaliser . Ce n’est pas une décision facile, mais c’est une décision qui permettra de s’assurer que nous sommes en mesure de jouer chaque date de la tournée, de présenter le meilleur concert possible à pleine capacité, et d’opérer dans un environnement sûr . Ça me brise le cœur de devoir faire ça, mais je sais que l’attente en vaut la peine.  »

Toutes les dates de la tournée ont été reprogrammées pour avril-mai 2023, et les billets existants sont toujours valables pour les nouvelles dates. La chanteuse canadienne devait lancer sa tournée à Paris le 12 avril.

Son nouvel album, Love Sux , sortira le 25 février sur le label de Travis Barker, DTA Records. On y retrouvera notamment Mark Hoppus de Blink-182′, Machine Gun Kelly et blackbear.

Tremonti de retour en France

Le guitariste d’Alter Bridge Mark Tremonti amènera son projet solo à Paris à l’occasion d’une date exceptionnelle en février 2025.

Alors que son acolyte d’Alter Bridge Myles Kennedy prépare une tournée européenne comprenant une date parisienne , Mark Tremonti s’apprête à lui emboiter le pas. En effet, le guitariste d’Alter Bridge a annoncé que sa prochaine tournée européenne s’achèverait sur une date parisienne, prévue le 16 février 2025 à l’Alhambra. Les places sont disponibles dès ce jeudi 8 août via le site de l’organisateur .

Cette tournée suivra la sortie du prochain album de Tremonti. Intitulé The End Will Show Us How, sa sortie est annoncée au 10 janvier 2025. En révélant la nouvelle, le guitariste d’Alter Bridge a sorti un premier extrait : « Just Too Much. » Découvrez son clip via le player ci-dessous :

The End Will Show Us How est le sixième album du projet Tremonti, enregistré avec Eric Friedman (guitare), Ryan Bennett (batterie) et Tanner Keegan (basse). Michael “Elvis” Baskette, aux manettes pour Alter Bridge, Myles Kennedy ou encore Mammoth WVH, s’est chargé de la production.

Une équipe parfaite pour soutenir le son reconnaissable d’un musicien qui aligne 30 ans de carrière et presque 20 albums studios à travers ses divers groupes, notamment Creed et Alter Bridge. Puissance et nuance habitent ce prochain disque et promettent de grands moments de live, notamment avec cette prochaine date parisienne, qui se tiendra 10 ans après son dernier passage dans la Capitale.

Aerosmith arrête définitivement les tournées

Suite aux problèmes de santé du chanteur Steven Tyler, le groupe de hard rock américain Aerosmith annonce l’arrêt définitif des concerts.

Après l’annonce de sa tournée d’adieu en 2023, Aerosmith s’est embarqué dans un voyage à travers les États-Unis. Malheureusement, au bout de la troisième date, le quintet hard rock se retrouve dans l’obligation de reporter les dates restantes à cause d’une fracture du larynx de Steven Tyler. Initialement reportée, le temps que le chanteur se remette physiquement, cette tournée est finalement annulée, suite à un communiqué publié la nuit du vendredi 2 au samedi 3 août.

« Comme vous le savez, la voix de Steven est un instrument unique » déclare le groupe. « Il a passé des mois à travailler sans relâche à ramener sa voix à son état précédent son accident. Nous l’avons vu lutter malgré la présence de la meilleure équipe médicale à ses côtés. Malheureusement, il est clair qu’une guérison totale n’est pas possible. Nous avons donc fait la décision difficile, mais nécessaire, en tant que groupe, d’arrêter totalement les tournées. »

Avec plus de 50 ans de carrière à son actif, le groupe n’a pas non plus manqué de saluer ses fans. « C’était en 1970 qu’une étincelle d’inspiration est devenue Aerosmith »  déclarent-ils dans ce même communiqué. « Grâce à vous, l’étincelle s’est enflammée et a continué à brûler pendant cinq décennies. Certains d’entre vous êtes parmi nous depuis le début et êtes la raison pour laquelle nous sommes entrés dans l’histoire du rock. Ce fut un honneur que notre musique fasse partie de votre vie. Dans chaque club, dans chaque tournée des stades et lors de moments publics et privés, vous avez fait une place pour nous dans la bande-son de vos vies. »

La carrière d’ Aerosmith démarre en 1973, lors de la sortie du premier album , qui comprend notamment les standards « Dream On » et « Mama Kin. » Si le succès n’est pas immédiat (l’album sort le même jour qu’un certain Greetings From Asbury Park, N.J. ), le groupe parvient à se faire un nom et à construire le succès qu’on lui connaît. Le sommet est représenté par Get A Grip , sorti en 1993, qui se vend à plus de 20 millions d’exemplaires. On y retrouve notamment les tubes « Cryin' » et « Livin’ On The Edge, » interprétés lors de la Peace Out, avant son arrêt forcé.

Côté européen, Aerosmith avait annoncé une tournée en 2020 qui comprenait une date unique en France, à l’Accor Arena. Décalée à plusieurs reprises à cause du Covid-19, cette série de concerts fut finalement annulée, sans jamais être reprogrammée. La dernière date française d’Aerosmith a eu lieu au Hellfest, en 2017.

Les fans ont néanmoins pu apprécier les prestations de Joe Perry, guitariste et membre fondateur du groupe, au sein de Hollywood Vampires. Ce projet réunissant notamment le toxic twin, Alice Cooper et Johnny Depp est notamment passé par le Hellfest et le Zénith de Paris en 2023. “Nos personnages correspondent à notre époque. Joe Perry est un toxic twin, c’est donc un méchant à sa manière.” a déclaré Alice Cooper à son sujet dans un entretien accordé à la rédaction .

AC/DC : journal de bord

Après le tour de chauffe au PowerTrip, dans le désert californien, l’an dernier, AC/DC est de retour sur le Vieux Continent. Avec un début de tournée très prometteur, avant la date parisienne du mois d’août. Live Reports.

Le 20 septembre 2016, en sortant du Wells Fargo Center de Philadelphie, les inconditionnels d’AC/DC sont en proie à des d’émotions contradictoires. S’ils sont heureux d’avoir entendu des perles rares comme “Live Wire” et “Problem Child” (jouée pour la première fois depuis 2001), une grande amertume les a saisis quand, sur scène, Angus a officiellement fait ses adieux à Cliff Williams, qui prenait sa retraite. Chris Slade et Stevie Young ont remplacé Phil et Malcolm pour toute la tournée Rock or Bust ; le chanteur à côté d’Angus n’est plus Brian Johnson, mais Axl Rose… Les fans les plus endurcis ont cette étrange impression de vivre dans un univers parallèle.

En en discutant avec Angus, ce soir-là, nous l’avons remercié du plus profond du cœur d’avoir continué malgré les difficultés de ces dernières années. Puis est venue une longue hibernation, comme c’est souvent le cas après une tournée. Mais avec Cliff désormais retraité, Brian souffrant de perte auditive et Phil Rudd noyé sous des problèmes personnels, l’idée d’une nouvelle tournée semblait proche de l’impossible. Lequel est pourtant redevenu possible.

Brian a retrouvé l’audition grâce à la technologie ; leur nouvel album, Power Up, est enfin arrivé dans les bacs ; et des rumeurs portant sur d’éventuelles réservations de stades ont commencé à circuler. Est arrivé le Covid, dernier clou dans le cercueil d’AC/DC en tant que groupe de scène ? Eh non ! Une fois de plus, les pessimistes se sont trompés. AC/DC a été officiellement annoncé comme participant au festival PowerTrip, à Indio, en Californie, en octobre 2023, sept ans après son dernier show !

Le concert ? Un rêve éveillé nous ayant littéralement mis les larmes aux yeux. Dès le premier titre, “If You Want Blood (You’ve Got It)”, on entre dans l’hyperespace, car cette chanson a été jouée pour la dernière fois à Hammersmith, en 2003… il y a vingt ans ! La setlist s’articule autour de classiques comme “Back in Black” et “Thunderstruck”, de nouveaux titres de leur dernier album comme “Demon Fire” et “Shot in the Dark”, et de surprises comme “Stiff Upper Lip.” Cliff est de retour, Brian aussi, et un nouveau batteur s’est assis derrière les fûts ; et puis Angus, dans un costume de velours bleu brillant, arborant fièrement et pour la première fois une crinière blanche.

La musique est bonne et forte, quand le chanteur se tourne vers la foule et lance : “Let there be rock ! Let there be rock !” Enfin ! Quel bonheur de les revoir en live sept ans après. AC/DC signe un retour en 24 chansons, la plus longue setlist jamais envoyée sur scène (considérant que je les ai vus 93 fois) ! Certains ont prétendu que le concert avait présenté nombre d’imperfections, mais les vrais fans de rock’n’roll s’en moquaient éperdument.

Le plus important ? AC/DC est de retour ! La grande interrogation qui a suivi le set infernal du PowerTrip était la suivante : y aura-t-il une tournée mondiale ? Nous avions brièvement rencontré Brian avant le concert californien, et il nous a confirmé qu’ils voulaient vraiment partir en tournée et avaient déjà provisoirement réservé quelques dates avec des promoteurs en Europe, dont l’Italie, censée être la première étape de cette nouvelle tournée.

Mais ils ne savaient pas comment le public réagirait après tant d’années et s’ils étaient encore à la hauteur sur scène après une si longue pause et… à un âge avancé. La décision allait être prise après PowerTrip. Pendant des mois, nous avons vécu dans l’expectative, et la nouvelle est enfin arrivée : tournée européenne ! Le temps de reprendre contact avec les amis, réserver des hôtels, des billets et des vols. On y était déjà !

Gelsenkirchen, 17-21 mai

AC/DC a toutefois choisi l’Allemagne pour ses premières dates, pas très loin du domicile d’Angus. La configuration de la scène est impressionnante, avec des éclairages complexes créant un spectacle visuel unique. Le toucher et les mouvements de la guitare du benjamin de la fratrie Young sont plus sûrs et plus précis qu’à Indio. La voix de Brian est bien meilleure qu’au PowerTrip. Malgré des problèmes techniques mineurs, la performance du groupe est exceptionnelle, surtout le deuxième soir. Le train du rock’n’roll a démarré et prend lentement sa pleine vitesse.

De retour au Stade de France, les mastodontes de Metallica ont offert deux soirées d’anthologie, avec 32 morceaux différents dans un cadre grandiose. Live report

3 août 1963 : naissance de James Hetfield, guitariste et chanteur de Metallica

Tenant à sa réputation scénique, Metallica ne recule devant rien pour offrir un spectacle toujours plus grandiose. Cette fois-ci, pour ses troisième et quatrième venues au Stade de France, les quatre Américains appliquent une nouvelle formule : le « no repeat weekend ». Les deux setlists sont complètement différentes, tout comme les premières parties : Ice Nine Kills et Epica (remplaçant Five Finger Death Punch au pied levé) ouvrent le bal la première soirée, tandis que Mammoth WVH et Architects se chargent de la seconde.

Pari réussi pour les Four Horsemen, qui calquent leurs concerts sur une structure similaire, avec missiles tonitruants en ouverture (« For Whom The Bell Tolls » et « Creeping Death », pour ne pas les citer) et classiques imparables pour finir (« Seek & Destroy » et « Master of Puppets » le premier soir, « One » et « Enter Sandman » le second). Entre les deux, le groupe met en avant ses morceaux anciens, fait dont il est coutumier depuis bien des années, à l’exception de Kill’em All , représenté par un seul morceau lors de ces deux soirées. Il n’oublie pas son nouvel album, 72 Seasons dont trois morceaux sont joués chaque soir. On constate avec délectation que « Lux Aeterna » et ses réminiscences de « Hit The Lights » se fond parfaitement dans le décor, tout comme « Screaming Suicide », qui fait mouche auprès des fans les plus fervents.

Bien entendu, Metallica réserve aussi de belles surprises aux fans, avec la rare « I Disappear » le premier soir, tirée de la bande originale de Mission Impossible 2 ou encore la festive reprise de « Whiskey in the Jar » basée sur la version de Thin Lizzy, qui n’avait pas été jouée en France depuis 1999. La carte des instrumentaux est également jouée, avec l’épique « Orion » et le plus nuancé « The Call of Ktulu », respectivement tirés de Master of Puppets et Ride the Lightning.

Deux fois deux heures de concert, présentés dans un décor atypique. Si Metallica est désormais client régulier du Stade de France, il n’y avait jamais joué sur une scène centrale. Cette dernière, circulaire, est disposée de manière à accueillir des fans en son sein : le fameux snakepit. Les adorateurs les plus chanceux (et les plus fortunés) ont donc pu s’offrir une vue imprenable sur les quatre musiciens.

Ils se montrent d’ailleurs en forme, avec des titres énergiques interprété avec force, tout en insufflant ce qu’il faut d’émotion pour les plus nuancés comme « The Unforgiven » ou « Fade To Black ». Les rares erreurs techniques (quelques imprécisions rythmiques de Lars Ulrich ou des pains discrets de Kirk Hammet) ne ternissent pas le tableau. En revanche, on regrette un James Hetfield étonnamment peu bavard et des pauses trop nombreuses entre les morceaux, qui cassent le rythme de deux spectacles pourtant bien orchestrés. Ces ombres au tableau n’empêchent cependant pas au public de se réjouir comme jamais devant un Metallica toujours aussi généreux sur scène. Un coup double réussi, qui laisse rêveur quand on imagine les surprises que les patrons du metal réservent pour l’avenir.

« Après huit albums en tant que Fink, près de cent chansons, j’avais besoin de me regarder dans le miroir, d’écrire le plus honnêtement possible » déclare-t-il dans un entretien accordé à la rédaction . « Qui suis-je réellement en dehors de la scène ? J’ai dû pas mal réfléchir, en me donnant de l’espace, sans interférence. Pendant l’été 2023, je me suis enfermé alors que tout le monde faisait la fête dans les festivals. C’est dans cet isolement forcé que je me suis forcé à composer. Donc oui, le résultat est tel qu’il est : un album folk/rock ample et organique, où les instruments sont rois. »

Bad news, sk8er bois (and girls): Avril Lavigne is pushing back her upcoming tour of the U.K. and Europe due to concerns over COVID-19.

The singer shared the update with fans on her social media accounts on Monday (Feb. 7), writing, “To my fans in Europe and the UK, I have some unfortunate news to share with you all about my UK and European dates. I have to make the difficult decision to postpone this tour until 2023. Due to the on-going issues surrounding the pandemic, there are a series of travel and venue restrictions from country to country that have made the tour not possible to happen.”

“It’s not an easy decision, but it’s one that will help ensure that we are able to play every single date of the tour, put on the best show possible at full capacity, and operate in a safe environment. It really breaks my heart to have to do this, but I know it will be worth the wait,” she continued.

The European leg of Lavigne’s tour in support of her upcoming album Love Sux will now kick off April 12, 2023, in Paris, with stops in major cosmopolitan centers such as Amsterdam, Berlin, Milan and Vienna before closing out with three nights in London from May 7-10, 2023. All tickets already purchased for the original dates will be valid for the shows’ new dates.

The pop -punk pioneer’s seventh studio album, meanwhile, will be released on Feb. 25, and contain singles “Bite Me” and the Blackbear -assisted “Love It When You Hate Me,” as well as new collaborations with Machine Gun Kelly and Mark Hoppus .

The show was good but very short. Not a lot of songs from her new album. Was disappointing to say the least - especially for a hometown show. We would have loved to hear more complete versions from her new album.

Hi I really enjoyed the show, despite being somewhat short. I bought a red rose for her and when she was singing in front of our section, I noticed she smiled. I resent not taking a picture. I have been a fan of hers since 2002.

This was my first time seeing Avril Lavigne. She did a lot of old songs and messed up the ending of Happy Endings. She did a few new songs. Overall I had fun.

Avril Lavigne Will Perform All Her Greatest Hits On A 2024 Tour

Let’s rage on. In the last year, early-aughts rockers such as Paramore , My Chemical Romance, and Fall Out Boy escaped from their cocoons to bring forth the emo renaissance. While certain acts didn’t prosper long enough to witness this pop-punk revival, there are plenty of artists reintroducing their discography to the mainstream. The latest star? Avril Lavigne. After re-embracing her emo-rock origins in recent years, the singer is onto the next “ best damn thing” — she’s heading back on the road.

On Jan. 22, Lavigne surprisingly announced her Greatest Hits tour on Instagram. This excursion will see her performing staples from all seven of her studio albums, and she won’t be alone in honoring her career. Other notable bands such as Simple Plan, All Time Low, Royal & The Serpent, and Girlfriends will also appear on tour. Clearly, the emo scene will outlive us all.

“This is gonna be too much stupid fun celebrating my career with my friends and fans. Who’s coming? What songs do you want to hear?” she wrote on the post, which features throwback photos of her with the multiple openers.

This exciting announcement comes nearly two years after Lavigne celebrated the 20th anniversary of her debut album, Let Go . The album has several well-aged hits, including “Complicated,” “Sk8er Boi,” “I’m With You,” and the underrated “Losing Grip.” She also included an angsty rendition of Kelly Clarkson’s 2004 single, “Breakaway,” on the re-release, proving her vault tracks are just as iconic as her well-known ones.

Lavigne’s nostalgic trip is on the horizon. The Greatest Hits Tour will kick off in Vancouver in late May, before trekking through several U.S. cities until early June.

On Jan. 24, pre-sale tickets for the Greatest Hits tour will go on sale on Ticketmaster at 10:00 a.m. local time. The general sale will commence two days later at the same time.
