Had a great cruise organised by Thorne travel with coach travel included to Southampton. Coach travel down was excellent with our agent John onboard to help and keep our spirits up. It was excellent to have John onboard the ship to help with any problems. Would definitely use Thorne again.

Thorne Travel best Travel Agent

We have used a few Travel Agents in our time but Thorne Travel definitely come out on top. When you visit any of their premises you are always greeted with a smile and asked how you are doing and if you want a tea/coffee. The last cruise we did with them my husband left his camera on board the ship and after contacting Thorne Travel to see if they could help us to retrieve it they went above and beyond to bring the camera back to us. Nothing is too much trouble and the staff don’t care how much time they have to spend with you to make sure you choose the best holiday for you.

Worst experience

Booked a family holiday and it was far from perfect We all ended up not sitting together as the agent when I booked and paid for our trip didn’t bother to book our seats until week before we were to travel I will never use this company again worst service in my 63 years off travelling

We’re truly sorry to hear that this has been such a disappointing experience for you. I completely understand how frustrating it must have been, especially since you weren't able to travel on your holiday. While many companies do charge for seat selection (including the tour supplier that you were booked with), we always try and get free seats together whenever possible but unfortunately this was not available for yourself. However, I understand that this doesn't make the situation any less frustrating, and we deeply regret that we couldn’t meet your expectations this time and we wish you well for the future.

This is my 3rd holiday booked through Megan at Thorne and as always she has smashed it. So much so Im booking another for 2025 today! She is thorough but patient and makes sure to get everything just the way you want it. Wouldnt want to deal with anyone else shes a star!

I fell ill really suddenly last year…

I fell ill really suddenly last year and phoned Thorne travel up to say 4 days before my holiday that I would need to cancel. They went above and beyond to help me get some sort of compensation. To my delight within 2 hours I had a voucher for the full amount that I could use within a year. I'm just back from 10 days in Ibiza with my family and would definitely book with Thorne travel again.

Excellent Jacobite Steam Train trip

My wife and I did the Jacobite Steam Train trip with Thorne Travel on 21/9/24. It was an excellent day out and Rona was a fantastic host. I can thoroughly recommend this coach and train trip to anyone. A great day out.

Just Perfect !

Having turned the clock back we popped into Thorne Travel in Largs to book a getaway, the traditional way ! I can gladly say that following being treated to the most VIP customer care experience, we will be enjoying a trip to Italy for the first time this May. Our first overseas holiday in 15 years…

Our first overseas holiday in 15 years and we decided to use a local travel agent as there are so many pitfalls and advice you need and its good to know you can rely on a travel agent like Thorne Travel to guide you through the experience. All the staff were friendly and enthusiastic and all questions were answered with good knowledge. I can recommend using Thorne Travel for holidaying and also their wonderful musical theatre experiences that they run coaches to.

After coming back from a Cunard cruise…

After coming back from a Cunard cruise in January decided to pop into Thorne travel ,as we were thinking of another cruise,had not decided where we would like to go,we sat down with John who went through varies options,eventually we decided on the new Queen Ann,which sails in September.As soon as we walked through the door I knew John was going to be as helpful,and accommodating,as he could be .He gets a ten out ten from us ,we were treated like VIP,we had coffee and cake,I told him it was like Cunard afternoon tea! It makes a huge difference having staff who are prepared to spend time with you,making you feel comfortable ,we will certainly be booking with them in the future.

The Thorne Travel Experience

We have used Thorne Travel for a number of years now and enjoyed many holidays, day trips etc. My main reason at the start was to book a troublefree holiday without the stress of me doing it myself and worrying if it was organised correctly, this has always been the case. Over the years we have built up a relationship with all the Staff who make sure your booking is made to your satisfaction and contacting our accomodation to ensure we get what we want. This is all part of the service we have came to enjoy. All my family and friends go to Shona and her team to book their Holidays too which further backs my recommendation to anyone wanting to book a Holiday or Trip through Thorne Travel.
