Italian for ‘beautiful scenery’, Bella Vista is suitable for any large function. Surrounded by 360 degree floor to ceiling glass, a wide open floor plan for ample seating and great entertainment space, the Bella Vista has two spacious main entertaining levels – the sun deck, for a perfect summer party cruise or wedding ceremony venue with uninterrupted views of Sydney Harbour, and the fully air conditioned main reception area.

The main ballroom allows for up to 350 guests seated across the one level or up to 600 guests for a cocktail style function. With bars on each level, spacious wrap around side decks as well as large decks at the front and rear of the boat, the Bella Vista glass boat is suitable for cruises of 130 – 600 guests. The main dining area has two feature walls, complete with 4 Plasma screens and a state of the art sound system.

Restaurant quality catering is prepared in the commercial kitchen on board by the executive chef and ranges from canapés and party fare to formal sit down meals and wedding banquets. A fusion of elegance, style and sleek, modern design, the Bella Vista has redefined cruising on Sydney Harbour.

QUOTES Quotes are valid for 14 days, after which pricing may be subject to change.

DEPOSITS Tentative Reservations are held for up to 7 days. Thereafter a deposit is required to secure your booking. Bella Vista Deposit amount: $6000. Once your deposit is paid, the deposit is non-refundable. Please note that a service fee applies for Visa, MasterCard and Amex payments

PROGRESS PAYMENTS Progress payments may be required in intervals leading up to your event. The amount and frequency of each of these payments will be at the discretion of management.

CANCELLATION / POSTPONEMENT All Cancellations/Postponements must be submitted in writing. Please note, deposits are non-refundable. The operator may agree to transfer monies received to a future date or time on the same vessel only at their discretion.

The following Cancellation or Postponement fees are applicable:

40% of the total cruise cost (within 30 days of the cruise)

65% of the total cruise cost (within 14 days of the cruise)

COVID-19 Cancellation Policy: Government regulations and restrictions that have been imposed may impact your charter. Any charters fitting the following criteria may be postponed, at no charge, to a date within 12 months of the scheduled cruise date. No refunds will be available.

1. The vessel passenger capacity has lowered beyond your original booking numbers, meaning your charter can no longer be accommodated.

2. The vessel is not permitted to operate due to Government advice.

3. The state of NSW goes into mandated lockdown.

4. If the booking party is self-isolating at the time of the scheduled charter.

FINAL GUEST NUMBERS & PAYMENT Confirmed final guest numbers and final payment is required 2 weeks prior to the cruise. We are unable to offer a refund if there is a reduction in numbers after this deadline. Guest numbers may increase up to 48 hours prior to your event - additional payment is required immediately via credit card.

MINIMUM SPEND The client is required to meet the agreed minimum numbers and/or minimum spend as per the charter agreement.

ADDITIONAL CHARGES Additional charges accumulated at your event whilst on the agreed charter i.e. bar or food etc, is to be paid in cash or credit card prior to disembarking at the conclusion of your charter.

BONDS: Please note that a $2000 bond is required for all private charters as a payment guarantee should there be additional charges on your charter. E.g. additional hours, bar tabs, additional passengers, damages etc.

EXTENSION CHARGES Should you decide to extend the length of your event, payment in full is required in cash, cheque or credit at the time of extending. Pricing is available on application from your event coordinator

PUBLIC HOLIDAYS Cruises incur a 25% surcharge on the overall cruise cost and must be al- inclusive

STATE GOVERNMENT WHARF FEE Sydney Harbour wharves incur a State Government wharf fee per berthing (except for wharves requiring a Pyrmont Bridge Opening). The allocated time at your selected wharf is 15 minutes.

VENUE RIGHTS The venue reserves the right to:

• Remove any person behaving in an irresponsible manner.

• Refuse service to any guest deemed intoxicated or acting inappropriately.

• Accept no responsibility for loss or damage to any property belonging to, or hired by, the client or their guests during/following your event.

• If we consider necessary (for example, due to mechanical breakdown, for safety reasons, weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances), to substitute vessels without notice (including any vessels of a third party), change any menu items, cruise schedule/program or performance itinerary. We will endeavour to provide a similar quality vessel, menu, service, schedule / program or performance in these circumstances.

• Close at least 30mins prior to disembarkation in accordance with the liquor license, and comply with Australian legislation with regards to responsible service of alcohol.

ENTERTAINMENT Entertainment must conclude 30 minutes prior to disembarkation. Bands / DJ’s are required to supply their own sound equipment including speakers. The operator reserves the rights to control volume on all entertainment. All external staff organised by yourself for your function i.e. photographer, band members, DJ’s expecting a seat with a meal must be included in your final numbers. They are each payable at 50% of adults price, this provides them with dinner and soft drinks or juice.

DECORATIONS / VENUE SET UP All deliveries must be pre-arranged with your event coordinator. Items must be delivered 48 hours prior to the event. All items must be labelled with cruise date, vessel and your unique reference number. You are not permitted to pin or stick any decorations to the walls. You are responsible in ensuring that suppliers provide adequate staff to deliver assemble and arrange decorations. All decorations must be arranged, positioned and removed at the conclusion of the event. If items are not collected within 48 hours after the event, the operator reserves the right to dispose of all items. Please ensure that all suppliers are aware of this. Your suppliers have access to the venue at a time agreed with your event coordinator. Additional hours are at the discretion of Management and require an Event Host charged at a rate of $65 per additional hour.

CLIENT RESPONSIBILITIES Clients/guests are not permitted access inside venue prior to agreed event commencement time. Given availability event organisers may arrange an earlier access time on application. The vessel operator accepts no responsibility for any incidents that may occur prior to cruise commencement. Individuals are required to act in a safe and responsible matter whilst on board. Clients are expected to conduct their event in a legal and responsible manner. Clients will be charged for damage that occurs to the restraint and/ or its property. Smoking is only permitted in external areas of the vessel. The operator accepts no responsibility for items left in/ at the venue prior/during/following your event. Any open alcohol bottles are not permitted to be taken off the vessel at disembarkation. All lost property or leftover items must be picked up within 48 hours post charter, after this period the operator reserves the right to dispose of all items.

HEALTH AND SAFETY All vessels that operate on Sydney Harbour and as such come with the risks associated with being on a body of water. Life jackets are stored on each vessel and all staff re-equipped in the case of an emergency. However, the operator accepts no responsibility for any injury caused to patrons or damage to goods while on their vessels, pertaining to the sudden movement of the Harbour swell or when embarking or disembarking the vessel on any public or private wharf. All patrons are required to demonstrate a basic level of caution while present on a moving vessel.

UNDERAGE CRUISES

SUPERVISION The operator requires the Charter Contract to be signed by a parent or legal guardian and that at least 4 adult supervisors (parent/ legal guardians) are on-board Bella Vista. Whilst they are included in passenger numbers, supervisors may cruise at no charge.

CONDITIONS OF ENTRY The vessel is a licensed venue and has conditions of entry – you are forbidden to carry any alcohol or illegal substances onto the boat. We reserve the right to refuse you entry onto the boat or require you to disembark from the boat due to intoxication or for the safety of other guests on board. Tickets will not be refunded under any of these circumstances.

SECURITY The operator engages a Licensed Security Company. Security guards have the right to bag search, Search and Seize, or report you to police if they suspect you are carrying illegal substances or alcohol. If you are found under the influence or in possession of alcohol or illegal substance they will be confiscated and you must disembark immediately, your parents will be informed and you may be referred to NSW State Police.

BREATH-TESTING Random compulsory breath-testing may apply prior to boarding. A strict zero tolerance policy applies in accordance with NSW State Law. If you refuse to comply, you will not be allowed to board the boat. If guests are behaving in a disorderly manner or suspect that guests are under the influence of alcohol or illicit drugs staff and security guards reserve the right to cancel the cruise at any time.

Safety and Equipment Is the boat safe and in good condition? Yes, the vessel is currently in survey with the Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA), which requires comprehensive safety equipment standards and regular safety checks. A safety briefing is given to the charter passengers before embarking and safety gear will be provided if required. All vessels in our fleet are selected for safety, comfort, quality and cleanliness. We are proud to keep them this way. What is the maximum capacity of the boat? Bella Vista is surveyed to hold a maximum of 900 passengers, 1 skipper and crew dependent on your passenger numbers. Please note, an infant, regardless of age is considered a passenger. Is the boat suitable for children? Yes, Bella Vista is suitable for children appropriate sized lifejackets lifejackets are available on request. Children must be under adult supervision at all times. What toilet facilities are on board? Bella Vista is equipped with multiple modern, spacious marine toilets with easy access for charter. Catered Food Options Can we organise a meal on board? Yes, we can recommend some excellent caterers for you where we can design the perfect menu to suit your budget and taste. On Tour Where can we go during our charter? Your skipper can take you most places within Sydney Harbour, providing it is within the surveyed boundaries. Should your guests wish to go to a specific location within Sydney Harbour please let us know at time of briefing. Can we extend our charter time during the charter? Yes, although this is subject to availability. Please note, the charter will be extended based on the decision of the captain on board and payment will be processed post charter by authorised bond. Booking and Payment Can we view the boat before we book our charter? Yes, the vessel is located in Blackwattle and viewings are possible most days. We recommend that you view the vessel so that you know exactly what the boat has to offer and whether it is suitable for your charter. Please call in advance to check availability and arrange a viewing. How do I secure my booking? A minimum 50% deposit is required to confirm booking, with the balance payable 14 days prior to commencement of the charter. Upon payment of your deposit, a Skippered Charter Contract will be emailed to you, confirming details relevant to your charter, which must be signed and returned. Payment can be made by MasterCard, Visa, EFTPOS, Electronic Funds Transfer or cash. Diners Card, Bankcard and Cheques are not accepted. Is there any paperwork to complete before we go on our charter? Yes, we require your signed contract and authorised bond form prior to your charter commencing. Cancellation If I cancel the charter, can I get a refund? We do not offer refunds should you wish to cancel your charter. If boating conditions are unsafe, as determined by the management of Sydney Harbour Escapes, we will offer a six month voucher where you can reschedule your charter based on availability. Please see our General Booking Information on our website or contact a staff member on 02 9328 4748 for details. Preparations and Arrival What do you advise we bring along for our charter? As conditions can vary on the water, it is suggested that you bring along a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, swimmers, and seasonal jumper or jacket. Please wear white-soled shoes or non-marking boating shoes. Strictly no black soled shoes or stiletto-heeled shoes, as this will damage the decking. Does our party need to get there before the set time of the charter? All your party should be at the designated pick up point at least 15 minutes prior to your charter time to allow loading of passengers and gear and to enable enough time for the skipper's safety briefing. Please note, our charter will start and finish at the times on your contract. Can one of our guests be picked up late and dropped off early from another wharf? Multiple pick up and drop off points are not recommended as this will shorten your charter time significantly. We suggest that guests wishing to join the charter late or leave early should arrange alternative transportation via water taxi at their own cost. Take to the Harbour for front row seats to the start of 2022

Update, December 23: In light of the surge of cases, many Sydney venues are cancelling NYE events. Call ahead of your visit to confirm if celebrations are taking place as planned.

In Sydney, ringing in the new year is a go-big-or-stay-home affair. But this year, the celebrations will be even bigger, we suspect. We’ve spent a quarter of the year indoors, and if you're anything like us, you've got some catching up to do when it comes to big nights out. So, why not spend your last hoorah of the year in the company of Sydney's greatest icons, the Harbour Bridge and the Sydney Opera House, on a New Year's cruise?

We’ve curated a list of the best you can book right now to secure the well-earned fun you and your mates deserve. Most of the cruise experiences come inclusive of food and drink, so all you need to worry about is having a damn good time.

Starship Sydney

Behold Australia’s largest glass boat, Starship Sydney. Spend your whole NYE on board, indulging in an all-inclusive evening of canapes, cocktails, Australian beers and premium wines, and three entertainment levels, which includes two decks of DJs. Starship Sydney offers an excellent view of the midnight fireworks display, departing from King Street Wharf at 7.30pm and returning at 1am. Tickets are on sale now from $750 per person.   

Harbourside Cruises

All aboard the Harbour Spirit, a luxury catamaran that you can hop on for NYE this year. Equipped with gorgeous contemporary interiors and two spacious decks, this 5.5 hour Sydney Harbour party cruise serves up epic views of the fireworks from inside and outside the boat. For $550 per person, enjoy bottomless beer, wine, and soft drink, constant service of appetisers and canapes, and non-stop party bangers on the dancefloor. Departs from Pyrmont at 7:15 pm and returns at 1 am.  

Yeah Buoy NYE Boat Party

A three-level boat party with 360-degree unobstructed views of the fireworks? We’re 1000% in. Departing from Port Jackson at 5.30pm, this 7.5hr all-inclusive cruise is the ultimate NYE treat. Live DJs all night, live entertainment, karaoke bar, a luxury seafood buffet, cocktail bar, grazing tables, drink service, and even casino table – you can’t really go wrong. Get your boogie on at Yeah Buoy. Tickets start from $600 per person.  

Showboat Art Deco New Year’s Eve Fireworks Cruise

If you’re looking for something a little fancier, look no further than this all-inclusive cruise on the luxurious Sydney Showboat II. Guests can expect to take up the Azure Deck, which is a private third-level area hosting only 60 people (max comfort guaranteed). A deluxe 5-course seated dinner will be served, with premium beverages available for the entire night, alongside a DJ and dancing—the way we all want to enter the new year, right? Tickets are $850 per person.

Fast Ferry Cruises

NYE doesn’t have to cost you an arm and a leg. Which, most of the time it does. If you want to jump on a New Year’s Eve cruise without spending more than a few hundred, choose Fast Ferry Cruises. Starting at $200 per person, these shorter 2.5hr cruises are BYO food and drinks and run for either the 9 pm or midnight fireworks, departing from Manly, Rose Bay, or Darling Harbour.  

Le Bleu 

If you’re an avid fan of electronic dance music and are ready to spend NYE with banging tunes and boogies, you can’t go past a ride on Le Bleu. The night features an exclusive DJ set from BINARY and Alvin Chan and the best possible views of the fireworks, which means you’ll be starting 2022 off with a big bang (and not just ‘cos of the fireworks). There’ll be a Belvedere Vodka on arrival, sushi platters to munch on during the night, and of course a glass of Moet Chandon champagne at midnight. Tickets are $500 plus a small booking fee.  

Bella Vista New Year’s Eve Cruise

Welcome in the new year aboard a luxury glass vessel with 3m high wraparound windows, giving you a prime position for the midnight fireworks. With spacious decks at the front and back and top of the boat, there’ll be plenty of room for all the activities on this all-inclusive 5.5hr cruise. Not to mention delicious canapes, a standing buffet menu and desserts, and a state of the art sound system to have you dancing into 2022. Tickets are $799 per person, but it’s all about the experience this NYE.   

Sydney 2000 Cruise

This NYE is all about making up for the lost time. And sometimes, doing that over a decadent dinner is the best way to do that. Cruise into 2022 onboard the Sydney 2000, a vessel that has been floating in the exclusion zone for over 20 years. This means it won’t be a problem getting an incredible view of the midnight fireworks. With prices starting at $799 per person, you can choose from three luxurious decks, each with all-inclusive food, premium drinks, and live entertainment. The cruise departs from King Street Wharf at 7.30pm and returns at 1am.

Rocket Cruise

Looking for a more affordable cruise option but want to stay on the boat for more than a couple of hours? Well then, Rocket Cruise has your NYE sorted. 5.5 hours of relaxed cruising, indoor and outdoor ferry seating, BYO drinks and picnic, and positioned in a viewing area outside of the exclusion zone for the fireworks display. All for $499 per person, departing from King Street Wharf at 7.30 pm and returning at 1 am.  

Aussie Magic New Year’s Eve Cruise

Step into the new year in style on board Aussie Magic, a stylish 26-metre catamaran with a super spacious outdoor entertaining deck. Catch jaw-dropping views of the midnight fireworks after enjoying a night of cocktail style dining—canapes, buffet, free-flowing drinks, which are all included in the $650 per person price. But for 5.5 hours of cruising around the harbour with your nearest and dearest, it’s a big treat yourself kind of night every Sydneysider should experience at least once. Aussie Magic departs from Star City Casino Wharf at 7.30pm and returns around 1am.  

My Way New Year’s Eve Cruise

Leave 2021 behind your way. The newly refurbished My Way vessel is ready for NYE, and so are we. Revel under the sparkling city lights as the sun goes down and enjoy a picturesque vista of the midnight fireworks from inside the exclusion zone, all the while enjoying the all-inclusive perks of a good NYE cruise: chef’s selection of canapes, buffet menu, music, and more. The two dining rooms are fully air-conditioned too, so the humidity won’t be a problem at all. There’s limited seating aboard My Way – with only 100 seats – so you’ll want to get in quick to secure a spot on a less-crowded cruise.

Tall Ship Dinner Cruise

Most NYE cruises around Sydney are on modernised boats. But why not take a step on the traditional sailing boat side this New Year’s? Choose between three tall ships for an unforgettable dinner cruise on the harbour, all offering front-row views of the fireworks. Dine on fresh seafood, gourmet barbecue, and more, accompanied by bottomless wine, beer, soft drinks, and live music during the 5.5-hour cruise. Prices start at $550 per person, which is a great deal for an all-inclusive NYE cruise.

Vagabond Spirit NYE

Jump aboard one of the newer vessels in Sydney Harbour to celebrate the new year in all-inclusive style. The MV Vagabond Spirit will surely get you into the party mood, with party streamers and party hats handed out and an all-night DJ and light show across two levels. In the food department, dig into a gorgeous menu, which includes tempting appetisers, a seafood buffet and carvery, and decadent desserts freshly cooked on board. There’ll also be an open bar, with premium brand drinks, including spirits. The large observation deck offers 360-degree views of Sydney Harbour, so it’s a perfect spot to watch the fireworks. At $725 per person for six hours of cruising fun, Vagabond Spirit NYE is the ultimate way to ring in the new year.  

Glass Island

Add a sprinkle of glamour to your New Year’s Eve with a night on the glorious Glass Island cruise. Prices start at $565.95 and include a 3-hour beverage package of beer, wine, cider, sparkling and soft drinks, canapes, gourmet food stations, and a glass of Moet Chandon at midnight while watching the spectacular fireworks display. Glass Island will take you one of the best spots in the harbour too, departing from King Street Wharf at 8.50pm sharp and returning at 12.30am.  

Waratah New Year’s Eve Cruise

Fancy to spend your NYE on the beautiful heritage boat, Waratah? This 1902 steam tug will not only have you feeling like you’ve just stepped back in time and offers epic viewing of both the 9pm and midnight firework displays. It’s BYO dinner, snacks, and beverages on Waratah, so at least you’ll be able to bring your favourites goodies on board. Waratah will depart from Pyrmont at 7pm and return around 1am.  

Magistic Cruises 

This whopping 7.25-hour cruise includes everything you could possibly need to tick off your NYE cruise bucket list—gourmet seafood buffet (including fresh king prawns), premium beer, wine, and spirits, DJ and dancing on board, fireworks views from inside the exclusion zone. Starship Aqua

Celebrate the New Year’s Eve festivities on the two-level glass boat, Starship Aqua, which boasts pristine views at each glance. This 6-hour cruise has all-inclusive canapes and food stalls, Australian beers and premium wines, non-allocated seating, and of course a DJ throwing down non-stop tunes to get you moving throughout the night. Prices start at $650 per person and the cruise will depart from King Street Wharf at 7.30 pm and returns at 1am.
